  • Great space for a big gathering in the country. Loved the kitchen. We went into Frederick one night and the town was really cute too.

  • Truly unique! An 18th century farmhouse with loads of charm, fabulous kitchen, the huge terrace with fire pit, fresh eggs each morning from the chickens across the drive and a chance to get to know them and also the donkeys, ducks, goats, pigs and peacocks. Dawn is a wonderful host, quick with answers and eager to help. We spent a long weekend with our children and grandchildren, 13 total. Hope to come back soon! Less than an hour from DC but it feels a world away.

  • This is one gorgeous house! Sits high atop a hill, gracious rooms, beautiful bedrooms, fabulous kitchen. Was everything we hoped for and more. This is more like a 5 star boutique hotel then an AirBNB.

    Trish2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, historic home located 20 minutes from downtown Frederick. Dawn's home has historic charm with the modern amenities. It has plenty of space for 14 guests! We visited during the winter but it would be great for the summer with a great outdoor space and more time with the farm animals!

    Nicole2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • For my friends and me, Dawn's farm house is the perfect spot for a weekend away from DC. We enjoyed visiting the animals on the property, sitting around the fire pit, and taking in the history of the house, which was built in the late 1700s. Dawn was a great host - she was quick to respond with questions and gave us great insights into Frederick. We're already looking for a time to come back!

  • You will love the kitchen and all rooms around the house. We definitely come back again.

  • We had a wonderful time at the Fingerboard Country Inn! The gourmet kitchen was fabulous and it was overall a great place for a family weekend!

    Kristen2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Myself and 4 co workers opted out of a hotel for this week and booked this farmhouse. We loved it, all of it. Plenty of space to spread out inside and outside of the house. The kitchen is a dream if you leave to cook, and the back porch area is huge and cozy, even in the cold weather. You will not be disappointed with your stay here.

  • Great little apartment with a beautiful view and quiet. Apartment had everything I needed and felt very much like being home. I wish I could have stayed longer to explore the surroundings. Check in was a breeze and I got settled in right away. The bed was also so comfortable! Next time I’m in town I want to stay longer :) Definitely recommend this place.

  • Just like a resort hotel, immaculate and stylish, and a beautiful view of woods and back river out large windows. Dan was incredibly gracious, and got the place ready for me on short notice, met me in person to show me around and familiarize myself with the various aspects controls for sound system, heater etc. He and his wife were professional and friendly, and I didn't hear a sound from anybody else in their adjoining house. I had complete privacy, took a and got much work done and slept like a baby! Also, morning walk along the creek accessible with a short walk down a nice hill leading to open field and woods with plenty of birds and life, very serene setting.

  • This is the best Airbnb that we have experienced! We were so relaxed. There was access to a washer and dryer which was awesome when traveling. The view was amazing! We loved the comfy beds and well equipped kitchen. Also loved the bath sheet towels!! Lots of extra touches that made us feel at home. Hope to come stay longer in the future!

    Michelle2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The area is pretty nice and the space is perfect for one or two people. There are a nice handful of stores/restaurants nearby for food (though the Wilcom's Inn is not operating at the time of this review). The space is a bit cold during the winter, but the heater does help. The area is pretty quiet in general too. Overall, the space is perfect for a nice getaway.

    Justis2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Dan’s place is the best Airbnb! Making s’mores with my boys by the fire while listening to the sounds of the stream was the highlight of our stay.

    Shane2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Dan's place. Communication was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does on the pictures. The location was great! Dan was also very flexible and accommodating with our check-in time, which was extremely helpful! The place was very clean and had all of the necessities for a few nights stay. Would absolutely recommend staying there!

    Aedrian2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Dan was super communicative throughout the whole booking process & stay. He gave us privacy but let us know he was there if we ran into any issues. We really enjoyed the apartment (very clean with beautiful backyard view). Definitely recommend for an affordable stay!

  • Karen’s communication was excellent and her place was perfectly located for our visit to Frederick county.

    Michelle2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • There was a small basket of fruit and breakfast snack bars on the table and a Keurig coffeemaker with a nice selections of beverages beyond just coffee. Limited electrical outlets for use beyond a few in the bathroom . If you aren't use to the sound of cars passing, you might want ear plugs for getting to sleep as the (ground floor) beautiful Lincoln room is on the front side of the house, next to old national pike that runs through the center of the historic town and quite busy on a Friday night.

  • Karen is such a lovely person. The room is so comfortable and has a private entrance. New Market is a really cute town with great restaurants. We had such a great time.

  • Enjoyed our stay in the Lincoln Room at the Strawberry Inn - historic area with feel of 1800’s history as stroll along Main Street with its 10-15 shops and restaurants. Back porch was nice sitting area and hosts helped to make feel comfortable and offer suggestions, even fixing small item needing attention in the room expeditiously. Good launching point for the area like historic Frederick, surrounding farms, and others. Upscale dining at nearby Vintage restaurant, and suburban fare within 20m drive. Would visit again.

    Adrian2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Spent a Friday night at Karens. The location was perfect and we spent the day at local wineries, came back and enjoyed a bottle on the private back porch. Karen was very responsive to questions and extremely hospitable. The room was everything we needed for the evening! Will be back!

    Kelly2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Karen was a wonderful host! She was extremely responsive and helpful. The house was beautiful and furnished with lovely antiques (you won't find any Ikea in here!) I was only in town for the night but New Market was a great place to grab a quick bite for dinner and have a quick stroll. The bed was huge and sooo comfortable. Karen provided coffee and snacks as well. Absolutely gorgeous place and a wonderful trip! Thank you so much :)

  • Joe's place was fantastic! He truly went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great stay. We were greeted upon arrival, and could tell that he really cares for his guests. I mentioned we were in the are to hike, and Joe set out hiking sticks for us to take on our hiking adventures! The space was beautifully furnished, comfortable, and had more amenities than we could ever need on our three night trip! We loved our stay and would absolutely return!

    Kahli2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • If we could we’d give Joe and his place 10 stars. He really goes out of his way for his guests to be comfortable and happy. The apartment is immaculate, fun, cozy, and has all the amenities plus more that you could need. We travelled with a 2.5 week old newborn and stayed for a week and we managed to feel at home and Joe really provided everything we could have needed in his space. He also let us borrow his daughter’s white noise machine. Let’s just say, we didn’t wanna leave. The trip went from being one where we had to get stuff done to being on vacation because of Joe’s place. We really couldn’t be more grateful to have stayed here.

    Amanda2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • I have only stayed at a handful of airbnb places but by far this was the best experience. Joe is an amazing host and his place is great.

    Myles2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Joe’s place is beyond amazing! The pics don’t do it enough justice. The basement apartment is HUGE and has everything you’d need and more. Joes got style :) I’ll definitely stay here again.

  • WOW. Joseph provides way more in comfort and amenities than could be expected & superior value too. Imagine....Full, efficient kitchen. Well stocked fridge and cabinets. Several types or coffees and teas. Milk; Almond milk; Half & Half; Loaf of bread; Dozen eggs. Spices; Cereals. And, much more. NO SURPRISE that the queen sized bed is top quality and the seating very comfortable. A good bathroom with nice soaps and hair products. Excellent lighting. Huge closet. I was blown away also by Joseph's way of giving full privacy & at the same time being so available and helpful.

  • Absolutely Incredible! 5 star amenities, beautiful space and amazing host! I cannot say enough good things about this Airbnb! This will be my new go to and recommended to all who need accommodations in the area!

    Nicole Mary2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend this quiet, restful place! Very comfortable space.

    Bethany2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Although, Joe's place was a bit further out of town than I expected, I appreciated the thoughtfulness in stocking the place with snacks and basic items, especially since I didn't have a car during this trip. I also enjoyed the fun personal touches to the place itself and wish I had more time there to enjoy it. Joe was also very responsive and provide such detailed information that left me confident from my arrival through departure. Thank you, Joe!

  • As a first time user of Airbnb, I think Pepi and Elci may have spoiled me for any other experience. Their space is inviting, well-designed, clean, accommodating and comfortable. They created a lovely ambiance from the moment I stepped through the private entrance with low lighting already turned on, music playing. I felt so welcomed. I will be back for sure.

    Briana2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • When I arrived it was so cold! But after communicating with the host the temp was adjusted to more of a comfortable setting. There were 2 space heaters however. The place itself was gorgeous! I enjoyed looking at all the different art. The ping pong table was a fun addition. The only thing I was concerned about was the blankets for the bedding not being clean. The blanket on the bed smelled a little funny. The check in process was so easy. The neighborhood was beautiful and there’s even a park close by, Maryland can be a bit sketchy but I felt so safe here. It’s obvious these host care a lot about the comfort of their guest. My trip ended too soon, but I hope to return again soon and book again with Pepi and Elci. This was my first air bnb experience by the way!

  • Staying at Peace and Plenty was by far an excellent choice for our Christmas holiday! The owners are quick to answer any questions and also to help if you need something. The farm is beautiful, peaceful, and the guest house is cozy . The views, the deer, the horses the location were perfect for us. Our little dogs also loved it! We look forward to staying here again!

    Lori2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • My family including the dog had a great time at this beautiful property -- a getaway on the Peace and Plenty farm. The house is sparkling clean and open, the farm is vast for wandering, and the location is not too far from things to do. My teenage boys enjoyed walking around the farm visiting with the horses. And, my husband and I enjoyed visiting the numerous breweries and wineries in the area. New Market is quaint town, and Frederick is close by with lots of great restaurants and shops. Or you can just enjoy your time on the farm, in the sauna, or in the pool during warm weather. Michelle and Dan were great hosts -- texting us directions or answering questions. They also have an updated list of events/things to do in the area which was very helpful. This was a very welcome quick getaway from the DC area.

  • Stunning farm, incredible pool-house. We went in November so the pool wasn’t open, but it was so fun to explore the property. Dan and Michelle were so nice, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

    Morgan2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really unique and peaceful spot. The hosts are as accommodating and friendly as you could ever want. It's out of the way, but that's what you are looking for if you stay here. It's still in working distance for DC, Baltimore, and the Atlantic coast. You have the whole pool house to yourself. The description of the accommodations talks about being on a working farm but that aspect of the operation is winding down. If the thought of morning tractor sounds were detracting you, don't let it. Most importantly, the hosts (and the soon-to-be new host family) are just great people and it was a pleasure to meet them.

  • If you are looking for a bucolic setting with super hosts and individual serenity, Peace and Plenty Farm is for you. The unit is filled with light and gorgeous sites due to the placement of plentiful windows. And the amenities...a gorgeous heated pool; a creek with a tree swing; a pond with bass plus fishing poles and rigs; A fire pit and, in Dan, an extraordinary fire starter; an outdoor grill; and in the house a large galley kitchen that makes preparing food while enjoying other guests simply a dream. They even had skewers for roasting marshmallows. We were invited to walk around the property exploring as we wished. There was such joy in Dan and Michelle that we took them up on their offer and strolled for a while on an uncommonly warm October Saturday. Both Frederick and New Market are nearby with interesting shops, plentiful restaurant choices and streets with sidewalks made for strolling and windowshopping. We were thrilled to find a shop filled with more kinds of fresh pasta than you could ever imagine next door to a gourmet chocolate shop. Both are on N. Main St. in Frederick. It was a delight and a privilege to stay at such a lovely place!!! We will be back again either as soon as this winter or certainly in the spring.

  • I highly recommend this airbnb not only is it in a nice area, but it’s super clean here. They help you with any questions you have. They make you feel welcomed and very comfortable, great at communication. I definitely see myself staying here again. They give you recommendations on what there is to do around there. Overall it was the best place I’ve ever stayed at, definitely way better than a hotel. Lovely hosts and a lovely place to stay!

  • Cute little basement suite in a well located townhome. Close to downtown Frederick and in a quite neighborhood. Jeff and Haleh were very welcoming and friendly. Jeff built us a lovely outdoor fire that kept us warm on a cold November night. He also gave us a nice tip about a local brunch spot nearby. We really enjoyed our stay and Id recommend their suite to anyone traveling to the Frederick area, great value.

The Cottage at Green Meadows Petting Farm opened in June of 2019. This newly remodeled former Farm Caretakers Cottage is ready for your unique farm life experience. Green Meadows Petting farm features nearly 300 farm animals and a few exotics with some of them right outside your door. Enjoy the entire upper level of the cottage that features a spacious kitchen, two nice sized bedrooms and a shared hallway bathroom. Your stay includes access to the farm, even when closed. Farm chores anyone?
  • I can’t say enough great things about our experience. The cottage was really nicely done, incredibly clean, and comfortable. The farm is incredible and Jackie and Ken made us feel right at home. Our son was out “helping” on the farm from sun up to sundown. Now that we are back in the city, we are already missing waking up on the farm. So peaceful and relaxing.

    Alexandra2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • You can expect a stay at a beautiful cottage and a farm full of gentle animals.

    Curt2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • My husband, daughter and I stayed here over the long weekend and had an amazing time! Great for kids! Beautiful property and very clean home. Super nice host and staff on grounds. Can't wait to go back !

    Erika2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • This place is perfect. I wish I could live in it. Its spacious and had 2 rooms. The bathroom was just updated and we can tell. Once you enter the house, this cute artwork of a tree and tree house( so cute, gives the house character). The main bedroom is very spacious and fan has a remote control. I thought that was cool. Ken and his sister Krissy went above and beyond when we stayed. We didn't have eggs and was going to get some . He went to his house which is up the hill to get a dozen eggs and a little oil for us. He said " thats what neighbors do" the hospitality really warmed my heart. We had a wedding on the farm. It was so help much to be all on one location for the ceremony, reception and airBnB. I would come back here . My husband and I are already planning to come back later this year :). Thank you Ken and Krissy

    Janet2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay. My daughter especially loved all of the animals. The house was beautiful and clean. Excellent hospitality, everyone that we met was extremely friendly.

    Haley2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Ken's place was incredible. Upon arrival, we were giving a tour off the farm which our two children absolutely loved. The interiorof the cottage was very Stylishly furnished and extremely spacious. My favorite space was the kitchen which had beautiful granite countertops and was large enough for all members of the family to navigate. We enjoyed walking up to the farm which was very close to the cottage and petting and getting really close to the animals. The variety of animals on the farm was very unexpected. There was everything from goats to kangaroos and even an amazing peacock. The kids enjoyed our stay on Wednesday especially because they got to see a piglet race. All in all, we had an incredible time staying on the farm. We look forward to coming back next year and spending more time here.

    Heather2019-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Main Points: get closer to animals than ever before (e.g., cradle a sleeping baby goat, lay down and snuggle with calves), enjoy absolutely beautiful farm scenery, have the best wedding venue, and Ken is amazing. Booking this airbnb was the greatest decision I have made, and I highly encourage booking it. As someone who uses Airbnb often, I am confident in saying this is hands down one of the best deals/ experiences you can get. I was married on this farm, which I wrote about below. However, I would stay here in a heartbeat even if I wasn't getting married (in fact, my husband and I are already planning on returning). First off, Ken is kind, patient, incredibly communicative, and will make your experience great. No detail is left out, and Ken even went above and beyond for us (he'd drop by if we wanted to chat, let us borrow chairs to sit on, and was kind enough to let us ask him many questions about farm life). Secondly, you will be hard-pressed to find a better atmosphere, even at places that charge way more. You are allowed to walk the grounds of the petting zoo both on and off business hours--this is a true delight in the summer when you're walking through the huge plot of land, watching the sun set over the beautiful fields as fireflies start to come out (it really feels like a scene from a movie). Thirdly, if you love animals, you could not find a better Airbnb. Ken's farm is one of the only ethical petting zoos I have been to--all the animals are so well taken care of, given plenty of space to roam, and staff is always near by to make sure children don't accidentally hurt the animals. Ken cares more about the animals than he does profits, and it shows--Ken only employs the best who socialize the animals so well that you will not find friendlier animals anywhere else. This is also the only petting zoo I've been to that actually lets you get in with some of the animals--instead of reaching in through a fence, you can cradle a baby goat, scratch a potbelly pig, or hug a miniature pony. Finally, the cottage itself is beautiful, comfortable, and convenient; it is so stylish and homey, making it a good place to relax in after a long, fun day running around the farm! GETTING MARRIED ON THE FARM: There are no strong enough words or sentiments I could use to express how strongly I encourage anyone to get married on this farm. Check out Green Meadows on Wedding Wire and their Facebook page for more wedding reviews (I plan to leave one soon). If you are lucky enough to get married on this farm, it is amazing to be able to stay in this Airbnb. My family is not local, so my mother was able to drop a truck load of stuff off at the Airbnb before we got married. The cottage was amazing for getting ready before the wedding (the Hay Mow, where we got married, is steps away, so it's ultimate convenience) and for having a space to store things and run back to during the hub-bub. Best of all, because this airbnb gives you access to the farm, you can be more relaxed about setting up and cleaning up. For example, it was amazing being on-site the day of the wedding, because there are a million small things you don't even think of until the day of--in that moment, simply walking over to the event space or ceremony space and adding in what was needed was such a relief. In addition, immediately after the reception, I was wiped, so I walked to the cottage (also yay, no Uber or car needed), slept, then woke up and picked up the flower petals from the ceremony area. It was such a relief to have such easy access to the event space. I cannot recommend enough! Thank you, Ken!

Resort Style Living at it's Best. Our house is situated in the Villages of Pinehurst, in the Community of Lake Linganore where you will find tons of amenities including but not limited to two Sandy Beach areas. We are a few miles from Highway 70, 270, and 15. We are a good 50 minutes from either DC or Baltimore attractions. In New Market, MD you will find lots to do. Our house sits on a corner lot, for the most part its quiet here. 2 adults live in the 3 level house no small kids/pets.
Our private studio is in the basement of the house. You will enter through the side of house past the gate. The door has a keypad lock. You go through our utility room into another door that leads straight into the kitchenette area. Once you are inside there are stairs but you will not be using those. No stairs outside. I would say that it is wheelchair accessible, except the bathroom door might be too tight its 24". Other than the bathroom everything else has a 26" clearance.
Our Neighborhood is Park like setting, lots of trails. You can walk, jog, run, ride a bike, I will provide a map of the many trails. We have 4 lakes surrounding us, two of which have sandy beaches. Right across the way from us we have a huge Gazebo with many tables and grills, there's also a tot park up the street. Here you may go fishing, boating, swimming, kayaking. We have 3 swimming pools, basketball courts, tennis courts, and volleyball courts. If you love nature you will absolutely enjoy your stay here.

  • Sometimes I find it difficult being objective, on writing these AirBnB reviews; what's important to some guest's, isn't important to others. In my case cleanliness, and having a quiet room to sleep isn't just a nessessity, it's a requirement. This place has it, and I'll b returning.

  • We had a great time here. The place was a great location for us since we were there for Thanksgiving with relatives that live near by. There was plenty of room and we found the house to be very charming and homey.

  • We really enjoyed staying at this beautiful horse farm. The house was a calm oasis during a tumultuous time for our family. The house was spotless and welcoming. The kitchen is very well-appointed, with everything one needs for home-cooked meals and large family dinners. There are three largish indoor common areas, providing plenty of space to move around and mingle. The setting is gorgeous. Like the house, their horses are very well cared for, and my niece and nephew in particular enjoyed wandering down to be close to the horses. We often had breakfast on the back deck, where we enjoyed watching various birds, butterflies, and bunnies. The view from the front porch is also stunning and restful. My parents, who are in their 80s, had a hard time with the trundle-turned-king-sized bed, the only bed available on the ground floor. Sue was responsive to our request for help making the bed a bit more comfortable, but this was the one not entirely satisfactory element we encountered. All in all, a great stay in a beautiful place.

4/5 Bedrooms, 2 plus Bathrooms, Sleeps 10 plus. Two ponds. Privacy. Goats, Horses, Ducks, and Chickens This is a very special 200+ year old former dairy farm (3900+ sq feet of house) on 72 Acres. 2 stocked ponds and plenty of space for large gatherings, family reunions, executive retreats, or just to relax in private seclusion. The upper deck, large screened porch, hot tub, fire pit, and patio areas all provide unique gathering areas. The real experience with this property is enjoyed on
We purchased this property in 2010 and immediately fell in love with it's country charm. It is not the fanciest or the most upscale piece of property, but it is comfortable and homey and it is easy to find your self relaxing here. We have been coming here almost every weekend for some time, but as our kids have gotten older (and we have gotten busier) we have found that our visits have been spreading further apart and we decided it was a shame to have the property empty when it should have life and happiness surrounding it. This is why we are so happy to share the experience with you.
  • Having never lived in a farm I really did not know what to expect. The house was very comfortable and inviting. Lots of books and the upstairs toy room was very nice. I would certainly recommend it for a family or people who get along very well. The Catholic Church was right down the street

  • Jeff was a courteous, communicative, and responsive host. The farmhouse and grounds were comfortable and very charming (the goats were so cute!). The interior and furnishings have an authentic Chesapeake area feel to them. The internet was also quite fast. This would be an ideal place for a group retreat, with lots of common space in which to gather. Its location is also quite convenient to Frederick and Ceresville. We used it as home base for a wedding party and found it perfect for our purposes.

  • This is an incredible home, which somehow manages to feel totally isolated (in a good, quiet/rural way), while being extremely conveniently located (5mn drive to Giant, Walmart, etc.). Jeff was a great, responsive, host. We had an amazing time there!

  • The Strawberry inn was perfectly located with the most stylish decor of any Air BNB I’ve been to yet. Karen was helpful and the amenities in the room were great. Would love to come visit again.
