Places to stay in New York
Downtown, the best bit of Manhattan. One of, if not the, LARGEST space on Airbnb in NYC. Your Own PRIVATE Bathroom & PRIVATE Bedroom, a Terrace off the bedroom, near to subways/buses, restaurants, bars, real luxury right in the middle of things. Just read our 500+ 5-STAR REVIEWS and you will see why we are SUPER-HOSTS and why you will just love this place, like other guests, I promise. Si, hablo bien espanol, Français parlé assez bien.
Downtown Manhattan, .. just like you see it in the films. Only so much better in real life !! All the details are below so that will see all that you will experience on your trip to the Big Apple - there are lots of things you will love when you stay here, but PLEASE PLEASE (did I say please?) try to read all the way to the end of the description, including sleeping arrangements, information on the area, getting around and the frequently asked questions. I know it is a bit of a novel, but it is well worth it and, from experience, it makes sure you understand everything in detail and ensures you will have the best stay that you can. Anything at all that you are not sure about, if you are new to Airbnb for example, just ask and I will get back asap and clarify. • Very spacious loft apartment ( about 2000 sq feet, 188 sq m, at last measure - so very BIG for New York) in the center of arguably the coolest area of the city (please do not argue ), modern, minimalist furniture , very open, very clean, I take great pride in having a spotless living environment (that goes for the host too). A Massive space that gets flooded with light via a wall of windows. Just take a look at the pictures. High security. Walking distance to subways & museums. Friendly building and very safe neighborhood. • Your own PRIVATE bathroom - Large, spacious, with Jacuzzi Bath, Shower, Hairdryer, Kohler fixtures. Fresh towels etc. Fully-stocked. All the shampoo and things you will ever need. Just for you. • Your own PRIVATE bedroom - Queen Bed for 2, firm and soft pillows for every type of sleeper, linens, towels, Large Flat Screen TV, Netflix, Amazon TV etc, Wardrobe. Again only for you. • Large kitchen - Open concept with an area to eat and with everything you need to design a gourmet feast, top of the line GE appliances, Microwave, Toaster, Kettle , Dishwasher, stainless steel counter top etc. Make any food you want - if it is really good, give me some. Make coffee there in the morning - always available -- you have your very own little coffee bar. • Very large living area, Real Fireplace, WiFi, Surround sound HDTV with HDMI hook-up and Roku TV, Bose sound system with iPhone/iPod hook-up, the best choice in music (in my opinion, most not consulted). Sit.... Enjoy • Large dining area - seats lots, great views over the city and over the Williamsburg Bridge. Eat foods mentioned above (probably while seated, although one can never be sure). • Natural brick walls (as opposed to unnatural I suppose) and a lovely Merbeau wooden floor, both of which look good (but don't say much). • Floor to ceiling windows throughout - bathed in sun (when the sun is out, mainly, of course) • Outside secluded seating area and balcony - you access directly from your room - very secluded (sometimes I cannot find it) • Full air conditioning / heating in the room and in rest of loft - be hot, be cool (most likely one at a time) • Bosch Washer and Dryer - for you to use - we like to reserve that for guests who stay for 3 nights or longer - being kind to the world too, we try to use cold water as well where possible. • Keyed Private elevator entrance directly into Loft - of course you have your own key (or stairs if u have the energy - does not seem so popular, strangely) • Printer / Scanner available. Pens and paper too, if you are a traditionalist.(although we draw the line at camel hair brushes, I'm sure you understand). And there is a universal power adapter for you to use to charge your gadgets too. • The building is a very smart development, a recently renovated 7-story apartment block with original brick facade, great views of the city skyline. Quiet, lovely, village feel, with parks and pedestrian areas just outside, but close enough to get anywhere very easily. I think I am allowed to say it is authentic. • This is a very large and comfortable space that you will be free to enjoy as you wish (this is your vacation after all). You will have lots of privacy and as well as the city, you have Books, Music (great as mentioned above), Roku TV with lots of channels and an online DVR and more .... or just relax and chat. Up to you. We provide the following publications too New York Times New York Magazine so you can feel a bit like a New Yorker • Located in the heart of Downtown - food (some of the best in the city), drink, fun, shopping all very, very close. A very cool residential neighborhood just a short trip to all the action. Perfect location for exploring both sides of the river too, as very close to Brooklyn and Williamsburg. One of the most historic neighborhoods in the U.S. (perhaps the most). We are only a few minutes away from the walkway along the East River, it has a great view of the Brooklyn bridge and Manhattan Bridge. Nearly opposite the Tenement Museum (which is really great). TV, Film and general interest media all the time (become a star - or an extra anyway) ,music clubs and comedy left right and center and Alphabet City, Ludlow Street , East Village, Chinatown and Soho all in spitting distance - and I can not spit far. Direct Access to cabs just outside building. • Food shopping wise, it is 3 blocks from a Whole Foods, the largest Trader Joe's on the east coast and few blocks from the new Essex Street Market. Great food shopping if you want. I hope everything is covered - email if you need more information. I hope to see you soon and I hope I can be part of your visit to this unique place.
Best neighborhood in Manhattan for independent coffee shops, cozy wine bars, up-and-coming restaurants (the area has 4 out of the top 10 best places to eat in this years NY magazine list) , intimate music venues, and interesting owner-operated shops. Like no other area in the city. A very peaceful cool neighborhood, yet just a short trip to all the action. Check out the "Guidebook" with my listing -- I send a much longer one that I have written directly to guests that do decide to stay before they get here - and they love it, mention it often in their reviews and keep asking for extra copies!!
  • What a wonderful time we had at Marc and Carols very special loft apartment. It was convenient to all sorts of shopping and restaurants.....Marc and Carol were very gracious to us, anything we needed, they supplied. The sleeping arrangements were perfect and we really enjoyed a late night of netflix!..I would highly recommend this apartment. We also loved the great book collection!

  • if you in NY great place and wonderful host

    Xavier2019-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely adore Carol and Marc. This was our 2nd stay with these outstanding hosts. The pictures are exactly what you get. This place is close to everything. We stayed 7 days and wished we could have stayed much longer. Carol and Marc are very friendly and easy to talk to. They are very knowledgeable and will give you fantastic recommendations. Do yourself a favor and stay here. We will always stay with them on all of our trips. There are not enough words to express how happy we are to have spent the week with them. Go England! It’s coming home!!

  • Carol and her husband Marc were very nice and since this was my 1st time using Air Bnb she explained the whole process to me. Beautiful place I would definitely recommend them and stay again.

  • Stylish place in an amazing location in NYC lower East side. The hosts Carol and Mark were extremely good hosts, providing great conversations and helping plan our weekend there with things to do, places to eat, drink etc. You get a private bedroom and a private bathroom that are furnished very well and adequate for a couple. You share the patio, shared living, dining and kitchen with the hosts. there is an elevator that brings you right into the apartment. how cool is that! the heater works very well, we went in Feb. There is a municipal parking garage very close where we parked our car for the weekend, spent about 60 bucks and walked to this place. All in all, a lovely experience, worth the money spent. would definitely recommend

    Deepthi2019-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Carol and Marc are extremely kind. We arrived late, tired and they did all they could to make us feel welcomed. Their apartment is amazing, very well located and has everything someone may need. They even provided address of bars, restaurants and cafés. Every detail is for guests to feel at home. I'll return.

  • Perfect. The flat is exactly as described, close to many subway stations so very convenient to go everywhere in NY. Marc and Carol are great host. Really pleased to discuss with them during our stay and sharing information on New York. We definitely recommend. Thanks again.

Join the Brooklyn Art scene with gourmet restaurants, shops, art studios and a spectacular multicultural experience.
It’s a private room with a window and a lofted bed in my spacious Brooklyn loft--perfect for vacation rentals or short-term stays or business travelers. The room has high, nine-foot ceilings and gets lots of beautiful sunlight. Bedding, towels, shampoo & the hair dryer, hair flat iron and styling toilets are provided! You will be sleeping in the lofted area on a king-size mattress. There are also options for additional guests: queen size air bed mattress and extendable couch. About the apartment: The apartment is a fifth-floor loft space with a hip, industrial-style feel (think exposed brick, high ceilings, huge windows overlooking the street). There are two bedrooms (one of them is mine), a large, sun-drenched common area with leather lounge, a kitchen (which you're free to use), and a bathroom. There is no TV, however there is s WiFi so you can download your entertainment on your computer or device. I also Air BnB my couch in the living room. For travelers, couples & business people—the space, building and area is not ideal for families with children. Smoking allowed in the living room, not the room itself. Early check in or late check out are possible the same as luggage drop off, depending on host’s working schedule, pls communicate before booking if needed. Costs $10 extra charge. Must provide exact solid wish time for check in (20min window) and check out (no window), shifting of time is not accepted. You will be paying for every additional guest/friend who is staying with you $45 per day/night.
About the area & the building itself: People say that Bushwick is the next Williamsburg. It's a save area. The area itself has an industrial touch, broken through restaurants and cafe shops and many small private artist's shops and art galleries, second hand stores, vegan eateries, graffiti tours, house of YES, the Gardener venue place. The building was a factory which was converted to residential lofts in early 90is. All residents are artists: painters, writers, photographers, actors, dancers, musicians. Added bonus: close to the train station, 15 min ride to Manhattan. Short ride by train to Bedford Avenue ( the heart of Williamsburg). The "Green" Gym is 2 Block away from my building, they have attractive trials and week prices. The Laundry is in the building, costs $5. For young travelers, couples & business people.—the space, building and area is not ideal for families with children.
  • The room is beautiful and comfortable, the apartment very clean and tidy and very cool, Elena is a wonderful host. I'm looking forward to stay there again.

    Robert2016-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Value for money. Very clean bathroom, and I had great sleeps there. Can fully recommend it besides a little too explicit approach to House rules. I never read them, but then again I do not smoke, are dirty are noisy or any of the things that are mentioned. I get in late and leave early giving her a minimum of inconvenience. It was unnecessary. Read the rules carefully and be aware that the adress is wrong. It is on the opposite side of the street.

  • A fantastic loft room in a great location.

    Andrew2017-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great space. Courteous host.

  • Elena's place in Brooklyn is just as described and was very comfortable. The neighborhood has several coffee shops and bars within walking distance and it's about a ten minute walk to the subway. You can get into Manhattan really easily and quickly. Elena was easy to get in touch with, and is very friendly. She made sure I had everything I needed including bedding for varying temperatures. I would recommend staying at her place.

    Emily2016-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • A great stay in Brooklyn and an amazing host. Will not disappoint.

    Sean2018-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Elena is an absolutely excellent host, and I'd be surprised to hear of anyone saying otherwise. For starters, she literally welcomed me with a hug and a smile, even after having arrived an hour after the designated check-in time. Aha, I got lost with my two giant bags in a subway station, and when I told her I'd be late, she helped me out with directions. Three words I'd use to describe her in that situation: patient, kind, and genuine. When we got to the room, she showed me around and everything was just so lovely. Clean and organized. She made a point to look for interesting things that I could do around the neighborhood, which I appreciated very much. If I hadn't been awake for an entire 24hrs, I would have checked it out. She also shared her amazing cooking, which was awesome. And Bogart, her neighbor's cat, is super sweet! Thanks again and again, my stay was great.

Our beautiful, light-filled BROOKLYN LOFT invites you to stay, with its characteristic BKLYN style. We're a 10-minute walk to DUMBO, Brooklyn Heights and the waterfront - and a vast choice of great restaurants, boutique shopping and entertainment. Brooklyn Bridge, Barclay Center and the Brooklyn Flea are an easy walk...and in case of emergencies, we're 2 blocks from Starbucks (or make your own here). No local renters for parties thank you!
We are music industry and design professionals who have lived in Brooklyn for 15 years. The decor is a natural result of our love of pop and avant-garde in music, fashion and art. As a result our art studio (and much of our work) has been featured in design magazines, photo shoots and more. The space is a rare 25-wide loft with wood floors, exposed brick and tin ceilings. 800 square feet total, with two rooms separated partially by fiberglass partitions (to let in light). All organic bedding and hypo-allergenic mattress covers. Please note that partitions are translucent fiberglass (inspired by the legendary Thread Waxing Space), not full-height walls or doors. Separate bathroom, separate wet room with washer and shower. Mini-kitchen with refrigerator, freezer, microwave , toaster oven and cooking utensils. The building was built in the late 1800's and was a firehouse in the 1930's. Long time neighbors have said the brass pole was removed in the 1960's! The space has been featured in numerous photo shoots and a few web tv series!
This is a perfect vacation location just one subway stop from Manhattan, which is why there is a new hotel opening every few months! We are a 10-minute walk to the Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan bridge, Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM), DUMBO, Fort Greene (beautiful park!), Brooklyn Heights. Not to name drop but...Brooklyn FLEA, Grimaldi's, Jacques Torres and Shake Shack are ALL within walking distance!
  • Mike is the top host possible. Mike was basically our mini tour guide as he provided with tons of information around the neighborhood. Mikes background can be easily seen with how the place was decorated. Communication with Mike is instant. Amazing host!

    Richard2018-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location in Brooklyn

    Shawn2018-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Mike's place was clean, convenient and very well priced. Mike was super nice and accommodating. He helped us get the lay of the land, giving us directions. The space was larger than I expected and the beds were comfortable. My only grip is the pillows. They were terrible, but even that cannot diminish how great Mike's place is. I would stay here again, but would bring my own pillow.

    Eddie2018-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed in this loft for my first ever visit to NY. It was really nice, very friendly host that offered daily help with directions, recommendations, or anything really. Travelled with 2 other friends, so the space was comfy for us. Subway was convenient, but we took short uber rides across to Manhattan mostly, and everywhere else we went. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Brooklyn.

    Armando2016-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • That place was great! Not too far from the subway and easily accessible to manhattan with uber. Mike was very helpful and quick to respond

Private bedroom in awesome remodeled Williamsburg loft. Roof access, large living room, new kitchen, fast internet, comfortable full size bed, great location. Friendly host couple, great Brooklyn neighborhood! NOTE: We do not discriminate. Responsible and honest people of all colors, genders, sexualities, religious preferences are welcome here. Also, kindly do not request to book our loft for your networking event, giant bachelor/bachelorette party, or film shoot . Thanks.
Comfortable bedroom in a large 3 bedroom in south Williamsburg, Brooklyn apartment. Loft share. ABOUT YOUR ROOM: Clean, cool, cozy, and super comfortable w/ full size bed in a room with bookshelf and desk. We hope you find the room as relaxing as it is filled with inspiration. Your room is also 12 short steps to the inspiring roof, with amazing views of Brooklyn and NYC. ABOUT THE APT: * Approx 1100 sq. feet, gut-renovated in Nov. 2013. * New everything: full kitchen/dishwasher/cabinets and countertop, clothes washer/dryer. * 3 private bedrooms. Guest bedroom in non-adjacent to the other two bedrooms, creating more privacy. * wireless internet * large living room * 1 friendly cat * roof access [Steph and John and kids are currently traveling . Our awesome co-hosts Alana and Dan will be here]. We are respectful and casual, responsible, friendly, optimistic and very active creative professionals in the New York "scene", which as you may be aware is quite large. Alana is a private chef and caterer. We have friends over for dinner occasionally, although lately we have been slammed with work and socializing has been minimal. But in general we are extroverted by nature, and friends are sometimes dropping by. ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD: One of the best hoods in all of NYC, period. The best of the best, all around us! Fine restaurants/nightlife/biking/parks/water taxi/subway are all nearby. Our building was one of the original artist loft-style warehouse conversions in Williamsburg. It has since been brought up to code , but retains everything that makes living here unique, fun, and special.
Our neighborhood has everything that people love about Brooklyn and Manhattan, from clubs, bars and great restaurants to bike paths, parks with river access, and proximity to public transportation; Shopping, boutiques, incredible Brooklyn small businesses and artisans; Diversity and uniqueness.
  • This was my first time in New York and I couldn't have asked for a better stay. The location in Williamsburg is perfect-lots of cafes, restaurants and boutiques within walking distance. I felt safe enough to walk around the neighborhood alone even after the sun set. The subway stops were within walking distance (7 min and 15 minute walks). Alana and Dan were great hosts! Very friendly, welcoming, knowledgable of NY, and even shared with me some delicious things they whipped in the kitchen! Would highly recommend for anyone visiting. I would definitely stay there again.

    Aileen2018-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • John graciously let us into the apartment very late at night after our bus had severe delays, for which I am forever grateful. After sleeping in a bit, we got to see the beautiful loft space and meet the rest of the family - Stephanie, their happy baby Dalton, and two friendly cats. They were all so heartwarmingly welcoming, and recommended us to some fantastic spots in the neighborhood. Smorgasburg had an overwhelming amount of food options, and was the perfect recommendation for our hungry bellies! All in all, I definitely plan on staying there again on my next visit to the area, and hopefully for a longer stay, so I can get to know these great folks more.

    Elle2015-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • JD and Stephanie were away during my stay. I was hosted by Alana and Dan. I can't speak more highly of this place and the hosts. It's an awesome warehouse apartment in a great location. Huge space, great room and amenities. Everything is clean, tidy and I really felt welcome and right at home during my entire stay.

    Amanda2018-09-18T00:00:00Z

  • The apartment is in a fantastic location, with great access to Williamsburg's superb bars, cafes, & restaurants, and the new waterfront Domino Park. Manhattan is within easy reach either by subway, the East River ferry, or a short walk over the bridge. Alana made us feel very welcome, and was an excellent host. The room & facilities available at the apartment are faultless. Highly recommended to any NYC traveller.

    Mei2018-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great location in Williamsburg! About a 10 min walk to subway station for easy access into Manhattan and in an area filled with restaurants and coffee shops just a short walk away. Apartment is on the 4th floor so prep yourself if you've got heavy luggage! Also definitely recommend taking advantage of the roof for amazing views (just look out for mosquitoes)! Never had the opportunity to meet Alana, but had an easy time communicating with her via texts. Thanks Alana & Dan for having us!!

This is a very cute attic space in a private home on a beautiful, calm residential street in Brooklyn. We are half a block from an express bus that gets you into Manhattan in 20 minutes. It's a 10 minute walk to the subway train into the city. Prospect Park is also in walking distance where you will find a lovely place to jog, ride bikes, ice skate and more. At the end of the block you will find an abundance of hip restaurants and bars to choose from.
After entering through a common front door, the private entrance is up the stairs. On sunny days, light pours in through the 5 skylights and in the evening you can look up at the stars from your bed. The space is all yours. The attic features: *comfortable bed *private half bath *your own microwave and refrigerator *clean linens, towels, and wash cloths *kitchen table and chairs *tons of space *clothes bar for hanging your fancy duds. You will have your own key and absolute privacy.
The neighborhood (Kensigton/Prospect Park South) is possibly one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the world and will allow you to experience the true feeling of old Brooklyn while also providing several excellent options for sipping a great cup of coffee. There are quite a few dining options in easy walking distance including some nice Italian, French, Japanese and Thai food. Also lot's of great other authentic fast food from the world including several excellent food spot from Bangladesh/Pakistan, a great taco truck, and some of the best Caribbean Rotis you'll ever try.
  • Had a great stay here! Everything is just as described and very nice for the price, feels like staying in the spacious and thoughtful guestroom of some easygoing friends. I was traveling by myself as a woman and felt completely safe in this easily accessible residential neighborhood, even very late at night. Air Con works perfectly, cools down the spacious place super quickly. Bed is very comfy and offers a nice view into the sky. The little bathroom with toilet is good enough for a quick wash since there are face cloths and towels. Would stay again!

  • Ken was GREAT !!!! Had to arrive a little later than expected and he was completely fine with it . Bed was SUPER COMFY !!! Place is in a GREAT area , everything is within walking distance . The ONLY issue we had was the parking . It’s absolutely horrible . We drove around for hrs every night just trying to find a parking spot , that wouldn’t result in a ticket . Attic area definitely not for ppl who are tall my husband hit his head all weekend . But overall I had a great stay , I’d recommend Ken’s place to anyone !!!!!!!

  • The space is exactly as listed in the photos. The bed is very comfy and the sky lights are beautiful! The space is great and so is the location. Blocks from a bunch of fun bars and restaurants! Loved the space

The only little issue we had was we assumed there would be toothpaste & mouthwash there since we’d forgotten our own & to our surprise there wasn’t but other than that, everything was perfect! Everything else we might’ve needed was there. We will definitely be staying there again sometime in the future!

We love sharing our home, our experiences, and meeting new people, but our home is NOT for those who expect a completely private, entire home at a "cheaper" rate. Our home is not for everyone, but we do our best to accommodate our guests in every way. If you are someone who prefers a completely private place with hotel-like service, our home is not for you so please don't book our home. Seriously. PLEASE SELECT TWO GUESTS WHEN BOOKING FOR TWO PEOPLE! Make sure you select TWO guests in that drop-down. We do charge a small fee for the extra guest, which helps us keep this listing at a lower price than comparable establishments around us. This helps us with the extra cost of taxes, utilities, amenities, and supplies that we offer. TWO GUESTS MAX: We have a strict two-guest-per-booking maximum and do not allow extra guests to sleep in the living room, or below the loft. So, if you aren't comfortable sharing a bed with your traveling partner, this place probably isn't for you. Our place is not suitable for babies or children, so please don’t ask. CANCELLATION POLICY: We have a strict cancellation policy, no exceptions (including health & weather). Make sure to read everything before you book. If you need to cancel for ANY reason, you are agreeing to our refund policy by booking. COMMUNICATION: We expect all our guests to be able to communicate with us before and during their stay in a timely manner. If this is your first time using Airbnb, download the app so you can get up to date messaging. There will be moments every now and then where we may have to reach out about the apartment, or check in to see if everything is okay. This is important during your stay with us, so please keep that in mind when booking. QUIET HOURS: We want to be respectful of everyone's sleeping schedule. We ask you to be considerate of noise between 10pm-9am. We don't care how late you are out, or how early you wake up, you can come and go at whatever time you please. But seriously, don't be on your phone, talking loud, playing music, leaving lights on, etc., when you come in late/early or slamming doors when you come in/out. DISCOUNTS: Discounts are automatically applied if you are staying longer than a week or months. Do not ask us for any additional discounts. We have fantastic hotels nearby that start at $500+ per night if you prefer that. WE HAVE ANOTHER ROOM FOR SOLO TRAVELERS ONLY: Have a look at our other, one guest maximum, Airbnb listing within the same apartment with a 5-STAR rating and reviews for a cheaper rate! Also not suitable for babies or children. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/14176286 BEFORE YOU CLICK THAT "INSTANT BOOK" WITH US... We assume that once you book with us, you have read everything here– agree to our “house rules” at the bottom of this listing and agree with the expectations. We have full rights to cancel your reservation if you do not abide to our rules. We appreciate it and look forward to having you stay with us! *************** WE ARE FEATURED IN: - Refinery 29 "Airbnb's under $100 in NYC" - Popeye Magazine, a Japanese Magazine for City Boys Check out the photos in the gallery! THE APARTMENT: A spacious 4 bedroom loft-style home with a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, and living room. The space in quite large for New York City and the room has east facing windows which provides tons of light that most New York spaces won't have. The apartment is thoughtfully curated and designed with handmade furniture by us, mid-century interior aesthetics, plants, art, and vintage goods. You'll also have access to our rooftop with a gorgeous skyline view. THE NEIGHBORHOOD: You'll be close to a weekend farmer's market at the park, tons of bars, coffee shops, restaurants, and parks. We are also close to plenty of options for gyms, salons, spas, grocery stores, deli's, convenience stores, late night snack spots, and more! Everything is walking distance and the neighborhood is incredibly safe (there's a neighborhood police station a few blocks away). Greenpoint has so many sweeping views of NYC's skyline in different parks and bars around us. You'll be minutes walking distance to the G train and L train, the ferry, or the bus. Our home is our sanctuary. It is peaceful and always kept clean. We expect you, as our guests, to respect our home in the same way.
LOCATED IN THE HEART OF GREENPOINT/WILLIAMSBURG: Home to a large Polish-American community, Brooklyn's evolving Greenpoint neighborhood is a residential area with hipster appeal. Traditional Polish shops and restaurants share the streets with trend-setting eateries, bars and live music venues. Galleries and artist studios are found in converted warehouses. The revitalized East River waterfront has parks and new high-rises with sweeping views of midtown Manhattan. The East River Ferry is a nice walk with great shops, bars, cafes along the way on Franklin Ave. The Ferry can take you to Dumbo, Manhattan (8 min ride), or Long Island City in just minutes! Traditional Polish restaurants serve pierogi and borscht near sleek eateries that dish out modern cuisine. Inexpensive dive bars and cushy cocktail dens coexist in harmony, and small boutiques do business alongside massive vintage shops. The neighborhood’s biggest draw is its coffee-and-doughnut scene—with 60-year-old Peter Pan Donut & Pastry Shop leading the pack. The apartment is located in a quiet area just tucked away from the noisy streets of Bedford Ave, Williamsburg and Manhattan Ave, Greenpoint. Some of Brooklyn's hidden secrets are just around the corner. If you want to be close to the city but away from the noise, our place is PERFECT for you! It is extremely SAFE and friendly!
  • Tiffany is very friendly and nice anytime! She quickly and advises and answers any questions. I will definitely stay in her place when I go to NYC. :)

  • What a gem. Excellent location, lovely apartment with thoughtful touches throughout. Safe and immaculate. Would definitely stay here again.

  • I really enjoyed my stay here. It's a very comfortable, clean and stylish loft. Close to lots of great store, restaurants, bars and other amenities. I recommend staying here

    James2018-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Tiffany provided everything for us and was super sweet. Everyone in the apartment is friendly and welcoming and we loved staying in this amazing place. The neighborhood is really hip with lots of food and entertainment, the apartment was warm and clean, and the bed was soooo comfy. Again, loved being here; I'm sure staying here made our trip to New York ten times more pleasant than it would've been. Thank you!

    Mari2017-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Tiffany and Alvaro are great hosts, very professional at responding quickly to messages and fun to hang out with when they're in the apartment. The location is pretty good, easily walkable from the subway and bars/restaurants, and the apartment is comfortable and stylish. Recommended.

  • Great neighborhood, great apartment, everything's fine...

    Andi2018-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Tiffany, Ulisses and Alvaro were the most amazing hosts - after arriving directly from our 27 hour journey from Australia they could not have been any more accommodating and welcoming. Their home is beautiful and a must for anyone with an eye for design, art, beautiful plants and furniture! The loft bedroom is very cosy, a bright and comforting space away from the business of the city, with a very comfy mattress. The location in Greenpoint is in perfect walking distance from plenty of unique and dining and shopping areas. Particularly we loved the thought put into the space usage of their beautiful home and the kind and clear provision of amenities for guests. Their rooftop is also AMAZING - definitely make the effort to check it out! Despite our short stay they also found time to fill us in on details of their experiences of NYC and the area which we found very useful. We only wish we could have stayed longer! Thanks again all of you :) Claire & Aimee

  • This is the best airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. Would definitely stay again! The room is absolutely perfect for a solo traveler! And the view from the rooftop is spectacular.

  • This studio was perfect for the 2 of us, exactly as it is showcased in the photos. The set up is cool, and the natural light is great during the day! Tokunbo & Kemi were very accommodating. We had a minor issue w/ the power circuit, and Tokunbo called and walked us through the situation promptly. about a 5-7 min. walk to the A/C train (Nostrand stop), grocery store, etc. right outside the train station. LIRR stop is 2 blocks away (easy access to JFK). I would definitely stay here again. it was the perfect set up, The apt. had everything we needed, and the location was convenient, less than 20 minutes to Manhattan. Thanks for everything!

    Kali2012-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Tokunbo is superhost!Everything was perfect! The pick-up from airport was on time, also she made for us a little trip around Brooklyn to show station, bars, restaurants, shops and so on. The loft is exatly like on fotos. A lot of space and light, 5 min from subway, 15 min to Manhattan. It was very good stay!Lookinf forward to stay there again!

  • Had an amazing stay at T's apartment! I found the apartment's location in Bed-Stuy to be a fun, vibrant and safe neighbourhood with cool eateries nearby and the subway less than a 10 minute walk away. T was really friendly and super quick with the responses - I felt safe knowing that if I needed her, she was just down the hall. The apartment has all the amenities one would need to feel at home so it suited me just fine. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Thank you T!

    Alyssa2018-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay at Tokunbo's studio in Bedford-Stuyvesant. I stayed for a month while I found my own apartment and there was everything I needed. The area is very diverse and buzzy with excellent transport links around the area and into Manhattan. An excellent studio space for a long or short term stay. Tokunbo was really friendly and helpful too, all in all very positive experience!

    Sarah2016-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Tokunbo is the greatest host in the world! She picked us up from the airport and dropped us off as well, and was available every time I called her. That was really convenient. The apartment is exactly what you see in the picture. The location is great as it's only a few blocks away from the A express line which goes straight into Manhattan. I'll definetely stay there again!

    Vergilio2013-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I stayed here over a snowy NYC weekend. The loft was beautiful, and Tokunbo was an excelent host. It's within a few blocks of the Kingston Throop subway stop, so it's easy to get anywhere in the city. It's in a perfectly safe neighborhood, but it's not exactly "hip" like Williamsburg, but that was fine by us.

    David2011-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • nice apartment...conveniently located between bed sty and crown heights

    Timothy2011-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was great! There were four of us staying and I was surprised at how much room there was for us all! We didn't feel crammed at all. The place is very funky and Tokunbo is a great host - really welcoming and helpful. I really enjoy staying in Brooklyn and this area is only a short bus ride away from Williamsburg, and 2 subway stops from the magnificent Prospect Park! There are several subway options to get to Manhattan so that was easy too - though you do have to allow for at least 45 minutes travel time each way (to and from Manhattan). I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!

Welcome to our urban oasis, the place you’ll call home while exploring the chaotic beauty of New York City. Relax on a plush, feather top bed and enjoy our two story penthouse loft. Have a glass of wine on a classic Brooklyn rooftop, and live like a New Yorker in the heart of Williamsburg. Steps from two bike share lots, at the nexus of 3 major subway lines that will whisk you to union square in about 10m and every corner of the city in no time. 🏳️‍🌈, ally, 420 friendly, share our home!
Our welcoming, spacious, window-walled loft is an island of calm amid the beautiful chaos of the city. After long days or crazy nights, you will come home to your clean, comfortable second story mezzanine loft. We have a balcony, that overlooks Manhattan and a rooftop with a panoramic view stretching from lower Manhattan to Central Park. The guest room is fully private, equipped with its own air conditioner, non-toxic organic mattresses with plush feather tops, and beautiful soft lighting. One bed is a conventional queen sized frame while the other is a convertible couch and we can comfortable sleep two on each bed. You will have the entire second floor of the apartment to yourself. The guest area is separated from the main space by a flight of stairs and it is fully enclosed, private, with its own air conditioner and heater. Although you are the sole occupants of the second floor of this palacial apartment. Please note that you are sharing the rest of the apartment with me and in some rare instances, a family of birds who have been known to nest in the ventilation system. If they are there, they keep to the air conditioner vent and rest assured, there is no wildlife in the actual space. Other than them you are my only guests. Our kitchen is there to be shared. take the fridge and cupboard real estate that you need, you are welcome to use things like spices, salt, and cooking oil rather than having to purchase the basics just to make food. We love to cook and share meals, let me know if you'd like to share dinner and we can work out the logistics. The kitchen is fully equipped, well traveled, and we are always grilling on the balcony or practicing our kitchen magic skills. If you'd like to go grocery shopping please let me know so I can give you tips on where to get what and possibly time a shopping trip with your stay. There is washer and dryer in the apartment and you are welcome to the laundry soap. Help yourself to toothpaste, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. We do our very best to make your stay as comfortable as it can be but we are not a hotel. Sometimes things can be less than perfectly spotless, sometimes a fuse blows or the water heater misbehaves and while these are rare occurrences and we have a super to take care of big stuff, you are living in an honest to goodness New York City apartment. One that is cared for but lived in; welcome home. If you think you might want to stay with us please read through the frequently asked questions in the 'other things to note' section below. .
We live in the residential part of Williamsburg, there are churches and schools, playgrounds, and parks. You will also be blocks from artist galleries, event spaces, thrift shops, warehouse parties, restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Go out and enjoy the bustling neighborhood and then come back to rest your feet in a cozy, quiet home away from home.
  • Cool place in a great location. Itay was very helpful if we had any questions and the guidebook is a must read!

    Victoria2018-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • Sherry's loft located at my favorite spot in Brooklyn, everything is good! The loft is beautiful and the price is absolutely fair enough.

    Alex2016-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • I spent three nights in Sherry's dream loft. Everything is as described and communication was flawless. The location is hard to beat: it's a safe neighborhood (one of my favorite in Willismsburg), with a short walk to the subway and food and drink options in all directions. The apartment has a great open feel, it was impeccably clean; the bedroom is private and spacious, the bed extremely comfortable; the hosts- Sherry and Itay (and Cat) are lovely, interesting, welcoming and generous people who care about their guest's comfort and are quick to make one feel at home. This was a crazy week and I was extremely grateful for what can only be characterized as a perfect Airbnb experience. I highly recommend a stay here and would definitely stay here again.

    Scott2016-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • The place was clean, comfortable and we had a very pleasant stay. Sherry was very responsive all throughout the process and was accommodating to our requests.

    Andree2017-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Sherry and Itay were both so welcoming. Their place is a top floor apartment with a bright double height living space and loft bedroom where guests sleep. The bed was really comfortable - perfect when trying to recover from jet lag. It's close the L train so getting into Manhattan is quick and easy. Would highly recommend staying here for a short term stay in New York.

    Ciana2016-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Sherry and itay made my boyfriend and I feel right at home in their place. If you wake up early, the sunrise view from their balcony is breathtaking. we had all the necessities, plenty of spare towels, and the best selection of shower and bath products (big fan of the eucalyptus spray in the shower!). There's a citi bike role around the corner and in less than 20 minutes you can be in manhatten. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend it to other air bnb'ers wholeheartedly. Thanks itay and sherry!!

    Elinor2017-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Itay was quick to respond to my questions and check in was flexible and super easy.

  • Marcella's place was a great space to stay at while visiting the city. It is an inviting, cozy, friendly, and clean environment. Marcella was available to talk with if I had any questions and was able to provide info on places to explore.

    Melissa2017-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • I was nervous to rent a room in a shared space, as every other time my husband and I rent whole apartments or homes. I was also concerned that there’s no lock on the door. Guess what? After the first night, it didn’t matter! A host lives on site and noise was never an issue. The Loft really is super cute and so well-located. I took the subway from the M stop nearby to attend work events and meet friends in different parts of the city very easily. There’s also so many yummy delicious food establishments nearby! If you’re light-sensitive, bring a sleeping mask as the backyard neighbor has lights on, though if you’re sleep-sensitive like me, you probably travel with one and this won’t be an issue. So glad I stayed and experienced this gem of a neighborhood. Definitely recommend it!

    Angie2018-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely loved my stay at Marcella's place! Even though I couldn't meet her in person, her friend Tiffany made sure to look after me in the best way possible! I used some of the restaurant recommendations too - all the places were insanely good. I cannot wait to come to NYC again and hopefully visit the loft while I'm there!

  • The Funky Loft is SO cute! It's spacious and sunny and warm, with such an amazing array of well-chosen vintage appliances and tchotchkes all over - but not cluttered at all. From the scale in the bathroom to the wallpapers to the potholders, toaster oven and even the coca-cola refrigerator - it's like staying in the best vintage store where everything works, but with all the modern touches you need (like wifi, of course). When we stayed, Britna was our host, and she is so thoughtful, sweet and gracious. We had a wonderful time!

    Melody & Hannah2018-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at The Funky Loft was really unforgettable. The place is so well decorated, really stylish and beautiful. The rooms and beds were super nice, the kitchen and bathroom clean and the location was great, near to several subway stations. We really, really enjoyed our stay here, and would recommend it to everyone! It is definitely a big plus for a city trip to NYC.

The high ceilings, the huge windows, the quiet neighborhood, will make your stay in the house relaxing, and me being almost all day out of the house will make your stay as private as possible To every part of the house ( the laundry room, living room, bathroom, private room, kitchen ) basically I am almost never at home so very little but incase of need I will leave everything and be there for them if they will allow and want me for me being a host it is a responsibility which I am taking very serious and as an ex flight attendant I know first hand how much important is to take care of your guest but give them the space they deserve an need which the huge apt. provides the silence inside the small streets but as you go to the main avenues it is full of life, vibrant, and a lot to do... the people are super nice great bars & restaurants very much and a lot : Taxis, Subway, Busses and the ferry makes the area highly easy to get around
Williamsburg! 2-3 min. walk to the Closest Subway Stop (The excellent L train).... 5-10 min. ride (depends where you want to arrive in Manhattan) Usually it will take you all together to arrive to Union Square around 12-15 Min. (depends at Rush hour). Around 20-25 Min. walk to famous Bedford Ave. In Williamsburg. 25-30 Min. from Greenpoint (Walking). Lots of wonderful Bars and Restaurants in 5-7 min. walking distance. Young, Artistic, Wonderful environment .... Highly Recommended Very Multicultural!!!!
  • If you are looking for the perfect Airbnb NYC location with a fantastic host, look no further. I can't say enough about Alex and his girlfriend Alex, they went out of their way to make me feel not only like a paying guest but a friend. I was there on business that involved long days and late nights, Alex not only stocked the fridge but he made me breakfast and sent fruit with me to make sure I ate. The condo affords a perfect level of privacy with the bedrooms at opposite sides, the wifi was perfect and the subway was a short 10 minute walk. 5 + stars. This was my first airbnb experience, the only downside is that Alex and Alex may have set the standard too high for others to ever reach!

  • My 2 months and a half stay at Alex & Aleks' place was amazing! I believe they are the loveliest hosts in Brooklyn: very sensitive, open-minded, and funny as well! They give small attentions that prove how much they care about their guests - including sometimes a delicious breakfast in bed, and delicious dinners cooked by Aleks ;) The flat is awesome. It's brand new, very clean, and modern! It also is very charming thanks to the high ceilings, and the daylight provided by the big windows. The flat is fully equipped from the kitchen to the washing machine, which makes it very comfortable. The room is perfect: it's a big room, with a huge TV, a desk to work and an amazingly comfortable bed! I really slept like a baby there. The room is very calm with a view on a backyard where a cat wanders sometimes. The neighbourhood is exquisite with plenty of small bars, good restaurants, and even an original Japonese coffee shop! It's only a 20 mn ride to Manhattan on the L train. I strongly recommend Alex and Aleks' place for your stay in New york.

  • The apartment is beautiful, the room is comfortable with a lot of option. The Mattress is at the top, you can rest and recover after a long day visiting new york. Alex and Alex are great hosts, they know how to put you at ease, are available and dedicated, cheerful and friendly. T hey respect the private life and share many tips for visiting new york. They ensure that your trip is wonderful. I highly recommend Alex and Alex. The apartment is like the description, the neighborhood is friendly, and 5 minutes walk, you are in metro to time square. In less than 25 minutes in total, from the apartment, you are in downtown New York. Which is perfect.

    Guillaume2014-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Alex and Aleks were amazing hosts. We arrived quite late on a Wednesday evening and Alex was waiting for us to arrive and was still able to give a tour of the apartment and explain how to use all the facilities. The room and apartment are exactly as described - spacious, clean and inviting within a beautiful location. As first time AirBNB users, my partner and I were extremely happy with our stay and would recommend Alex and Aleks to anyone looking for a great place to stay in NYC at an affordable price with great hospitality and privacy.

    Liz2015-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Alex and Alex, the boy and the girl :-) , were great hosts! Reliable, kind, helpful, respectful - our stay in NYC could not have been any better! The room was clean and well-prepared and so was the bathroom, and the bed was VERY comfortable. the location is just perfect - we enjoyed the great view on the Manhatten skyline when crossing Pulaski Bridge every day on the way form or to their apartment. We also had interesting discussions with Alex and Alex and we would have enjoyed to get to know them even better. Yet, our busy schedules as visitors did unfortunately not correspond very well with our hosts' working schedules. A lunch packet with fruits at the end of our stay was the the finishing touch our stay! We absolutely recommend their place!

    Brigitte2014-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • Without doubt the BEST Airbnb experience we've ever had! Alex and Alexandra are the kindest, most hospitable hosts you could wish for; they were extremely quick to reply to our messages and once we arrived we were warmly welcomed to their lovely apartment and given a tour of the local area to help us settle in quickly. We sadly didn't get to meet Alex as he was away with work but Alexandra treated us like family and left us notes, water and a huge bowl of fruit each day. The apartment itself is gorgeous- modern, spotlessly clean, spacious and with a lovely comfortable bed, in a great area. In short, we had a great stay and would return in a heart beat. Thank you Alex and Alexandra for making our stay so wonderful!

    Lucie2015-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time. Alex and his wife are nice and helpful. The apartment is clean and light and we didn't miss anything. We would certainly consider going back here again.

    Ties2016-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • The place was exactly as advertised, very clean, comfortable, welcoming and with lots of privacy. Alex is an outstanding host. Not only does he provide a service that exceeds expectations, he also connects with you on a human level, not just based on a business relationship. I only stayed for 4 days but that was enough to make a new friend! Double thumbs up, I definitely recommend the place (obviously!)

  • Very cosy and comfortable loft. We liked all the personal touches Eric added. Eric is a brilliant host, his communication is excellent. We appreciated all the hints and tips too !

  • If you’re going in the summer request the air conditioning upfront. It’s a nice place And really close to the subway.

    Branden2019-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed out stay in New York and thought Eric's place was well equipped. He gave us a in depth tour of the apartment and made sure we were settled in okay. Unfortunately on the first night the shower didn't work. Although Eric let us use the basement bathroom, we felt that the shower wasn't prioritised to be fixed as we had to use the basement bathroom all week. Eric also had workmen in the whole week to refurbish the basement. We felt a bit uncomfortable with all the builders etc coming in and out of the house. Although we didn't mind the stairs up the top floor being open with just Eric in the house, with all the other people we didn't feel that safe or secure. Maybe with all the restoration work the house shouldn't have been let out that week? However we thought the location was pretty good and Eric was accommodating as a host.

Exposed bricks, sunny, beautifully restored ceiling, 12 feet ceilings Loft. All within 10 minutes walking distance to SOHO, 5 minutes to Lower East Side. Comfortably fits two guests. Private Kitchen, please read description to the end. The photographs you see IS the space you rent: your own private entrance and private bathroom included. There's also an indoor real-wood fireplace!* The studio-loft have 1 real bed, and 1 futon which can accommodate up for 3 people comfortably. It is a walk-up apartment - as listed in the amenities section - no elevator. This space used to be a martial arts academy, and we have kept the entrance in its original decor (with a chinese-temple like awning). The rest of the entire floor functions as a photo-studio and our working space, divided by a wall. We have a separate entrance. As a result of our combined Danish-Singaporean cultures, our dream space materialized into a light-oriented Scandinavian aesthetic. The space took 3 months to renovate; and we have designed all the details from scratch. - We are located on Bowery, lower Manhattan- a main avenue buzzing with activity in the day but absolutely quiet in the night. SOHO is 10 minutes walk away, Little Italy is right around the corner. Lower East Side is 5 minutes on foot. We have amazing variety restaurants in the area and even more into the direction of LES. We are also close to the J, B, D lines which brings you to Downtown, Midtown and even Brooklyn direct and you can easily transfer to various lines. What's included: Wireless Internet Fresh Linens and Bath Towels Hairdryer, Iron
We are sandwiched between SOHO (7 mins walk), Little Italy (2 mins) the border of Chinatown (a minute) and Lower East Side (7 mins walk).
  • This is a really great space and tastefully remodelled. Lots of great restaurants and bars nearby. Will stay again next time I'm in NYC

  • The space was great: comfortable & homely! Stephanie & Jens were very friendly & respectful. I hardly got to see them, which was a shame, but they seemed very friendly. Flat was very conveniently located in Chinatown, with easy access to the subway. The flights of steps got me quite fit in a short amount of time! Had a great time in this space!

    Sujon2016-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • This place is fantastic. Out of all the AirBnBs that I’ve stayed at this one really takes the cake. I was in NYC for one week and the space really felt like home after the first day (also the bed is so comfortable you’ll want an entire day just to sleep). If you are ever in the city you cannot go wrong with staying here!

    Chris2018-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Thoroughly enjoyed staying in Zi and Jens' downtown Manhattan apartment! If you want a true New York loft experience close to the hustle and bustle of downtown Manhattan, with the fantastic Soho, Little Italy, and Chinatown on your doorstep; this is the place to stay! Zi was fantastic in the lead up to our stay, answering every question we had. She was also very quick to respond to any query we had during our stay in the apartment. Was truly a pleasure to stay here!

    Stuart2015-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely beautiful loft. The host replied quickly when I had questions and self check-in was a breeze. This place is what I hope my apartment looks like by the time I finish decorating. Plenty of greenery and the most cozy, open space you could dream of. Enjoy the heated floors in the bathroom, the hammock hanging from the ceiling, the collection of books and evocative art, and the irreplaceable charm. I stayed alone and poured myself some wine and danced around with music on the speaker and loved my stay, but I definitely plan on bringing my partner here for a getaway sometime. The location is right by a subway stop and I loved passing through Chinatown during the day.

Our home is our sanctuary and it is peaceful and always kept clean.
  • It was very quiet and attractive place. Felt a little bit uneasy because there are few people only when walking alone at night. The room was nice, the hosts are kind corresponded what I asked.

  • I don't think I could've picked a more exciting, comfortable, clean and hip place to stay for my first trip to NYC! Despite a late night check-in, Tiffany and Alvaro's self check in, navigating to the apartment from JFK was a breeze and their self check-in instructions were easy to follow. Tiffany also kindly showed me around the apartment, amenities and all. All in all, a lovely place to stay. Made friends with another airbnb guest staying in the other room which was a nice surprise. The rooftop is worth having a peek at night. Would highly recommend this place if you're looking for a lush, relaxed and convenient abode to stay at :)

    Elysia2018-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first time renting a room in a shared apartment and the experience exceed my expectations! Tiffany's apartment is very welcoming and stylish. I had everything I needed; the bed was very comfortable, the wifi is fast and the apartment is quite spacious for NY. I stayed on west coast time and felt very safe in the neighborhood walking around after midnight. There is great food, bars, and coffee and easy access to train for other adventures. Tiffany is very kind! I highly recommend if you are a solo traveler!

  • Awesome apartment in a great central location and close to the subway!

    Ryan2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot. Easy check in. Travelled with my daughter and the location was close to places she wanted to visit.Lots of restaurants nearby and close to subway stations. Somewhat noisy on the weekend but that is to be expected for this vibrant area. We would rent again from Willow . Had a great time!!

  • Great studio, clean and stylish at a great location in LES

    Yerin2017-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for great accommodation in one of the hottest areas in Manhattan, this is it. The studio is very large and very stylishly furnished. The area is loud at night (particularly over the weekend) so if you need a good night's sleep, this might not be for you. But if you're a solid sleeper or planning to be out and about yourself, then highly recommend this apartment.

  • Pamela has a beautiful and artsy apartment which she calls her “sacred sanctuary.” Her collection of indoor plants, lamps and antiques add to warmth and truly make you feel at home. However, it’s on the third floor and climbing up with luggage can be a bit of an uncomfortable experience. Overall it’s a good place to stay in Williamsburg with the subway only 5 minutes away.

    Hamza2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Pamela has a bright, charismatic loft that is incredibly clean and well cared for. The private and shared spaces were equally inviting and comfortable. Location is amazing; well connected to multiple train and bus lines to get in and out of Manhattan in under 30 min, and in a great neighborhood with numerous places to go out, to eat, or grab some coffee. Pamela is easy to communicate with and extremely accommodating. She is passionate about being the best of hosts and I must say she succeeded! You won't be disappointed!

    Kirsten2019-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • It was an amazing journey, Pamela is a great host, her flat is big, clean, very pretty, the room is perfect and the bed very confortable. Pamela was very helping, follow her advices about the city and the neighbourhood !

  • I was happy to be Pamela’s first guest. She should be very proud to host people in her apartment. It’s a great place, and she was a very kind host.

  • I loved staying here! Pamela was knowledgeable of the neighborhood and directed me to some of the coolest places I've been. The apartment was clean with a fun atmosphere. 5 out of 5 stars for sure!

This is a classic Brooklyn Loft, super spacious with very high ceiling, we put a lot of love into it :)
This is a lovely Brooklyn neighborhood, lots of great options for cafés, restaurants, bars, shopping and more within walking distance.
  • This apartment is amazing! Came here for a two night trip with some friends and we definitely could not have asked for more from this place. Admittedly, we didn't spend that much time in the apartment, but we probably would have had we spent more time in the city. The apartment had plenty of floor space and did not feel cramped in the slightest.

This bright sunny loft is in the most convenient location for quick access to every borough. Made to be cozy with everything you need to feel like a local living in style in a cabin perched above the bustle. // Note: This space is now only for one guest at a time, and no longer for couples or for that one guest to host anyone while staying. If you’d like to ask for an exception, keep in mind that the old fee of $40/extra person will be upheld retroactively. Thanks for your honesty and respect!
A vintage building was taken on by an interior designer who has capitalized on the rustic "DIY" trend, white washing the floors, adding color and accent wood paneling, brightening the space. Enjoy being in the most convenient location in all of New York, while still having a tucked-away private space and cabin vibe. Feel at home with a window-side office, open-plan bedroom + living room, kitchen + dining room, and spacious bathroom with tub. The bed (with comfy down topper) is actually a futon that can be folded into a couch to make the bedroom a living room, should you choose (with a projector to turn your laptop into a movie theatre)! The furniture roves often, as it’s fun to see how many floor plans can be made of one space, but photos are continually added. If important to you to know how it currently looks between the photos shown, of course ask! :)
Williamsburg, Brooklyn is quite literally the trendiest and most happening neighborhood in the trendiest and most happening city in the world.
  • I had a great stay at Annie's place in Williamsburg. There was a bit of confusion with checking in and the key transfer but we worked it out quickly and Annie and her friend (who lives in the building) were very accommodating. Pros: - The location is amazing. The subway station is right across the street so it's really easy to get into Manhattan or to other parts of Brooklyn. There are lots of good shops and restaurants close by and it was a fun area to explore. - As shown in the pictures, the apartment is really cute. Very nicely designed, homey, and quaint. It's bigger than I expected from the initial photos so that was a pleasant surprise. Cons: - The bedroom faces out onto the street so it's pretty loud. If you're used to street noise you might not even notice, but I'm not so it was a bit of a nuisance at night. - The bed isn't great. It's a futon, and totally served its purpose but not the most comfortable and would be a tight fit for two people (or someone who's tall).

    Gail2016-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Just as advertised, fabulous location for getting around, and a fun neighborhood for walking to bars/restaurants. Annie is lovely and very helpful. Some things to be aware of that are more about the location, and are not a reflection on Annie at all: Be aware that if you bring a car it is fend for a spot on the street situation, so brush up on your parallel parking skills and plan extra time for circling the block a few times. I drove to work in Conneticut each day and when I got back to the neighborhood in the evening it did take some time to find a spot, but I always did eventually get one. Of course, it is not super smart to bring a car with you to Brooklyn but I didn't have a better choice. Also, this is a commercial street, there's a bar right below the window that stays open until 4am 7 nights a week, and other shops on the block so it is always noisy and bright. Even late at night, there is a lot of ambient light in the apartment. If you are one of those people who needs dark and quiet to sleep then bring your eye mask and earplugs. Annie keeps a sound machine by the bed that you can use, but I ended up using my white noise app and my earbuds. Again, though, what do you expect when you're in Brooklyn? :-) There are not one but TWO cheap Banh Mi shops on the block, so despite being in NYC, it is pretty cheap to eat. Also, bonus, the Bagelsmith across the street is open 24 hrs, so you will never go hungry. Also, the stairs leading up to the apartment are very narrow and steep. Overall, Annie was wonderful, it's a great location, and I enjoyed pretending I lived in Brooklyn for the week!

    Ericka2018-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Annie’s place is incredible! It’s like staying in a beach house in the middle of Brooklyn. Her styling and touches are just top notch. Can’t recommend it enough.

    Jake2019-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Annie's place is more beautiful than the photos seem. It's small but feels spacious with lots of light coming through the windows and most of the decoration being up on the walls. It's definitely noisy at night but fine with ear plugs. All the kitchen supplies you could need, noise machine to help you sleep, extremely convenient location. I wasn't able to get into the apartment building upon arrival, after trying the key about 20 times. Annie was responsive and luckily a neighbour let me in, however it was quite inconvenient to not have a key to get back in, meaning I could not leave the apartment. Annie refunded me the cleaning fee plus an extra amount and was extremely apologetic and communicative, and eventually got me the keys around 11pm.

    Ashley2018-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • Location location location. The design of the apartment makes you feel right at home. Communication with Annie was great! She let us leave our luggage after checkout which was super helpful. My only problem was the comfort of the bed. I think if the mattress was a little more supportive it would be hands down the best place to stay in BK.

    Ali2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Annie's place was fantastic! It's decorated absolutely beautifully; it's hard not to get inspired here. It's also extremely conveniently located, and a very quick train ride to Manhattan. The only issue I had was that I have a bad back, so the futon bed wasn't particularly forgiving for me. Other than that, I had a great stay!

    Megan2018-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice atmosphere in this place. Sunny and quiet, great to have some rest outside of Manhattan craziness!

    Benoit2019-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Annie's place was exactly as described and in the pictures. The location was great, close to everything I needed and right by the subway so you can get into the city in no time. Annie was great, very responsive and made my stay comfortable and cozy. I had a great stay and would definitly come back again.

  • Easy location, in a nice area, good to reach, close to the Hudson River. Nice room, I slept really very well. The bathroom maybe was a little bit small. But the rest, everything fine. Yeon is a very friendly host.

  • Yeon‘s place is in a great location! Her apartment is very cozy and clean and the room is private with quick access to a shared bathroom. Yeon is very friendly, responsive and accommodating. I really enjoyed my stay and didn’t feel like a stranger. Would stay with her again during my next visit!

    Nour2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Yeon's apartment is in a great location in West Village, in easy walking distance from Greenwich Village and the subway (just under 5 mins). It's in a lovely quiet area that feels safe, but is close enough to everywhere to get to Midtown & Lower Manhattan pretty easily. The view from the private roof terrace off the upstairs guest bedroom is incredible, with a clear view of the Empire State Building (which appears to change colour every night) & the Chrysler Building, and it's the perfect place to sit & have breakfast, & to relax at the end of a busy day. The apartment is of the standard Manhattan compact design, but works well, with a well equipped kitchen & a good shower over the bath. The upstairs guest bedroom is lovely; it's light, spacious & stylish. The bed is really comfortable & I slept really well; it's actually very quiet, no traffic noise disturbed my sleep. This is not the place for you if you have an allergy to or dislike of dogs, who it has to be said are very good and quiet. Yeon has created a very tranquil and welcoming space, and she is very helpful, providing me with a little map on my arrival to help me find my way around. I felt very safe, secure & comfortable to stay in Yeon's apartment, and was very happy to come home there each evening, to this lovely oasis of calm. Thank you so much Yeon for making me so welcome in your lovely home.

    Meg2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Yeon was fantastic! She was very repsonsive and flexible with the check in time. I had to stay in the city for a few days for an event for my current job and Yeon's location and price were too good to be true. The room was very clean and she was very kind. If you have the opportunity to stay here - do it!

    Yas2018-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Yeon’s place is convenient to get anywhere in Manhattan and it’s also walking distance to some amazing restaurants and jazz clubs. I had a very enjoyable time in NY, thanks for sharing your wonderful space!! Loved the views too :)

    Lisa2019-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful location! The room is clean, beautiful, and light! I enjoyed my stay very much!

    Karla2019-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • A nice place to find a quiet refuge after a day in the city. Easy to get around the city from it and close to places to grab a bite.

    Elizabeth2019-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • Yeon is such a nice host (and a wonderful designer!). She helped me to solve my emergency first thing when I arrived. Her studio is exactly like in the description. Bright, cute, and great location!! The room is located upstairs with a ladder-like stair to go up and it basically like sharing a same space with the host but with partly privacy. It’s warm and cozy up there and the beddings are very comfy. Her two dogs are sweet and lovely. While enjoying their cuteness you’ll need to deal with the hair and poop issues (the poor dogs had diarrhea one night while the host away so the poops were very smelly) but it’s out of her control and she cleaned up when she came back. So it’s wonderful for people who traveling for pleasure and need bare in mind for people who travelling for business. Overall it’s been a lovely stay at Yeon’s!

**December Sublet/30-Day Minimum** Available last min at steep discount. This is a well-lit and quiet bedroom in our 2,200 square ft. loft which is located in north central Chelsea. There are 2 bathrooms, a massive living/dining room & spacious kitchen which are all shared by everyone at the apartment. The apartment is incredibly central & located 2 blocks from the ACE, 123 and Penn Station. 1 block from MSG, a few blocks from the Highline & Empire State Building & all galleries in Chelsea.
This is one bedroom in a 3-bedroom loft-apartment. It gets tons of light and is not on the street side so it is pretty quiet. The bed is queen-sized and can sleep 2 people. The other bedrooms will be occupied by my roommates or other travelers- my roommates rent their rooms out when they leave town too. The apartment has 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, and large dining and living room which are all shared by everyone.
Our apartment is in northern central Chelsea near 7th Avenue and 30th Street. It is probably the most convenient neighborhood in NYC because it is close to quite a few places and very close to the subway if you want to leave the area.
  • We had a lovely time in New York and in Bryan's apartment. Bryan was out of town when we were there but he gave us all the info we needed to be in touch with his girlfriend, Elie. Elie is such a sweet person and was really helpful during our stay. She was eager to give us restaurant and activity suggestions. Chelsea is less touristy than some areas in Manhattan and we really enjoyed this aspect. We would definitely recommend staying at Bryan's apartment!

    Breanne2012-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • the location was perfect , the apt was perfectly cleaned and Emily was really helpful for all the requests I did I really suggest to book here

    Martina2015-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • It was great. The house is like in the pictures. Elie was a great host, always worried about my safety and comfort.

  • Emily and Bryan were great hosts. Emily dealt with my arrival and even if we didn't met each other she guided me through NYC and gave useful advice to arrive at the apartment. Bryan was a great host and is a nice open minded guy open for any questions. If you talk to him, you have to ask him about his shirt company - it's great stuff. Overall I really enjoyed staying there and in case I'll visit NYC again I'd try to get a room there again.

    Stefan2014-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Host was super nice. Had great conversations with him and Em. They made the whole experience so awesome. Can't wait to go back.

    Alex2015-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • I have nothing to complain about Bryan's place. The location is great, and the bed is very comfortable. I would really recommend this place and I will definitely be back on my next trip to NYC.

    Fabio2013-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Bryan's place was perfect for us. Amazing location, clean room and a great apartment. When we were there all rooms were occupied and there was never a queue for the bathroom nor was there an issue with noise. Bryan was often in and out and available to offer tips on what NYC has to offer. The location cannot really be beaten, so much nearby and so close to the subway when your feet are tired. We spent nine nights at Bryan's and it really felt like a home away from home. The room offered space for us to unpack and the lounge and kitchen areas were great for taking a breather after a big day of sightseeing. If you're looking for a clean and quiet room in a fantastic location then you have found it!

Amazing loft in the Meatpacking District. The hottest neighborhood in NYC! Enjoy your own 1,100 square foot space within a 2,600 sq ft, two floor loft. Doorman, building, full sized bed (fits two) with true mattress and box frame (not an uncomfortable, thin, sleeper sofa mattress). Can sleep third guest on large sectional sofa, shared kitchen. Guests enjoy exclusive use of two bathrooms.
The High Line starts just a few minutes away from our building. The neighborhood is lively and features some of the best restaurants, bars, clubs and stores in Manhattan. The Hudson River Park is ten minutes away; it's a great place to walk, run, picnic or just sit in, relax and people watch. The Chelsea Market is within two blocks of our home. Some of the most picturesque parts of the West Village are within a five minute walk of us.
  • When I walked downstairs into what would be my "home space" for the next six nights, I was kind of flabbergasted. I had seen the pictures online but they didn't do the space justice. I felt like I'd been transported to a seraglio in Morocco or somewhere, but one with a beautiful baby grand, lots of books, super comfortable gigantic sectional with amazing pillows, a big entertainment center, light fixtures from Egypt that I loved just looking at, and a bed on a kind of "dais" where I would sleep like a baby every night. It's the most fun & spacious Airbnb space I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. And Rick And David were fabulous hosts: generous, helpful, fun and easy to be around. I had a great week! They provided cold bottled water, and told me to help myself to coffee, tea, breakfast makings and treats, which was just lovely for me since I hated leaving the house sometimes! I was in NY to perform my solo show, and they even lent me a fabulous pitcher to use onstage the night of my reading. And helped me get my costume cleaned quickly and very well! Love these guys! My only suggestion might be that since the half-bath downstairs in the space is so incredibly large, they might want to add one of those new freestanding bathtubs so that the guests don't even have to bother their hosts upstairs when going to shower or take a bath. They're about to recarpet downstairs, so it will be even nicer for future guests! I can't recommend David & Rick's place highly enough; if you're looking for a unique, private, comfortable space in a fabulous location, stay here!

  • David and Rick aren’t just AirBNB hosts. They treated and welcomed us like visiting friends. They were so warm and welcoming and friendly and gave us everything we needed. Their loft was beautiful and cozy. Honestly, they are the best hosts we’ve ever had bc we didn’t feel like a customer. They made sure we were comfortable and had an amazing stay in New York!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at David and Rick's loft. We could have stayed a lot longer! David and Rick are consummate hosts. They were friendly, warm; they were always available if we had any questions, and they are just interesting to talk to. They offered us lots of breakfast options and full use of the shared kitchen if we wanted to use it! The loft is very private and spacious had everything we needed. The bed was super comfy and it was nice to have the couch and lounging area to relax after being out all day. It is described perfectly in the listing. The location is vibrant and exciting with tons of eating places within walking distance, and it's also easy to get all over Manhattan from there. We certainly did! We had a very comfy stay there, and Rick and David made it all the nicer. They are very accommodating, gracious, and welcoming people.

We are a group of artists, musicians, and writers living in an enormous loft in the Gowanus section of Brooklyn. Steps to Barclays Center, Whole Foods, and Prospect Park, our loft will blow your mind. Beautiful, spacious, and stylish, we welcome you!
  • Spanky's place is fantastic. Beautiful space, just a short walk to one of Brooklyn's central hubs and Prospect Park. Beautiful decor, everyone is extremely helpful and kind, and an amazing deal for a unique place. Highly recommend.

  • Our stay was really great! The guys were quite cool and we had some nice talks. Also had a beer on the top of the loft with an awesome view to Manhattan. The room was clean and fortunately had an air condition what was very necessary during this heat wave we had. The rest of the loft: the kitchen, the huge living room with all its plants have such a nice flair.

    Julia2016-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Extremely beautiful and artistic home to stay in! Full of warm-hearted people. We were very warmly welcomed and adviced about the household. Very clean and luminous. The room was very hot, but the fans helped a lot. On top of everything, there is a marvellous rooftop where you can dance and do yoga.

  • Ahhhh I want to come back! This stylish artist loft looks just like the photos, but really the best part was the people. Spanky & crew made me feel like a part of their community and I want to be friends with them all. It was so great getting to know fellow creatives and sharing stories. Gowanus is on the up and up as a neighborhood and there's plenty to do nearby.

  • Amazing space in a great location in Brooklyn. We had a brilliant time exploring the city from here and everyone made us feel really welcome. There are lots of nice touches to the space, and the bedroom has a great view. It was actually very calm and quiet all the time as well considering it is a shared loft. Would definitely stay again if we are back in the area!

  • The apartment is very close to NJ Transit bus stops (5 minute walk) and can have you in Manhattan in roughly 15 minutes. The amount of space you get is much more than anything you could get in NY at a much more reasonable rate. Denise is a very thoughtful host and checked on us several times to make sure we were comfortable and had things like towels or shampoo.

    Evan2018-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Denise was a great host and communicated with me prior to my arrival to ensure everything went smoothly. I truly appreciate this as my booking was very last minute. Upon arrival Denise greeted us and gave a tour of the space (the pics did it no justice this place is gorgeous). Denise was kind enough to have the fire place lit and provided us a bottle of wine (as we were celebrating my girls bday). Throughout the trip Denise ensured we were enjoying our stay. As it was my girls bday and we loved this place I decided to host a small dinner party to suprise my girl in which Denise was very accommodating. I highly recommend book this spot you will not be disappointed in any form whether it's service or the actual property (which offers a great view) I will definitely be back

    I-am2015-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I enjoyed a wonderful Christmas holiday in Denise's lovely house. It's spacious, neat and well decorated. It also has a great view of New York and is really close to midtown Manhattan. Denise was friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this place.

    Vito2015-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • Denise is a wonderful host and has incredible energy. The apt looks better than the photos. It was further from where I'd pictured it as being on the waterfront. It was very easy getting into Manhattan by bus just two blocks from flat. The flat must be 1300 sft with computer, WIFI, an enclosed patio great for sunning when it's 30 degrees outdoors. There's 3 sitting areas and the bedroom is enormous. It can easily accommodate the two twin rollaways in the closet in this room or one of the others. The master bathroom has a massive tub. The only drawback was the water doesn't get hot nor do the jets work. I still used it daily and gloriously soaked in the warm water. Denise shared info on getting in and out of Manhattan, her favorite jazz spots and local shops in Hoboken. She even took me to the post office the day I was leaving. She's very responsive and I'd recommend this location and apt for at least four persons. I'd rent the next visit to NYC! I left like a local, catching the bus to the Port Authority and getting a $16 direct bus to JFK there instead of the $160 Uber or $50+ airport shuttle fares.

    Denise2015-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Denise was really welcoming to her apartment which is an entire private floor above her own home. Denise was really attentive leaving some books and crayons and her children even shared their dolls with our little girl. Denise was really accommodating with our check-in time as we had arrived much later than anticipated. We really loved the floor space and the spectacular view from the apartment. It was also a quick bus ride away from mid-town Manhattan and Denise gave great instructions on getting there.

    Su2015-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house with a magnificent view and a great location! We had a wonderful time. Thank you Denise-it made our trip to NYC amazing!

    Stanton2017-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Denise's home was AMAZING! The loft is inside of her huge home but it is right upstairs and COMPLETELY quiet. You can barely hear the cars outside driving by! We were introduced with a lovely smile and a complimentary bottle of wine! She gave us a paper that welcomed us and gave us instructions, such as how to get around to certain places, turning off lights when you leave, etc. You know the reasonable things that someone should know when entering someone else's home. The pictures don't do this place justice! It looks sooooo much better in person! AND THE VIEW WAS SPECTACULAR!!! We stayed at Denise's for a week to visit New York, but ended up staying at her place for 2 full days before we even stepped foot in New York. By the way, if you're traveling to New York take the Hoboken PATH train into New York! WAAAAY cheaper than the ferry or uber or just riding your own car across the bridge. It's only $2.75 each time you get on the train! Anyway, we loved every minute of staying there. She made us feel at home! Literally, it felt like home! We honestly didnt want to leave lol. Don't pass her by! You WILL enjoy your stay with Denise, I promise!

  • You will not find a better place for the price. To sleep shower and relax it was perfect with great views. The neighbor hood made me a little nervous but we parked a full size suburban in the garage. Great host, no problems!

    Mark2017-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend this great location for ease of getting into NYC! Literally 5 steps to the train. Very clean and everything seems brand new. Beds were nice and comfortable. King in the master bedroom and queens in the other rooms. Lots of closet space. Extras were provided like a bottle of wine, many bottles of water, coffee and tea. Fantastic new large playground nearby that we walked to with the grandchildren. We didn't use the washer/dryer, but they are available. In an area where parking is a HUGE issue, we had a parking space in the garage under the apartment! Wonderful! We didn't touch our car from the time we arrived until the time we left. Neighborhood bar/cafe where you can eat in or take out. Food not too bad! Adjacent area is undergoing a make over, so there was construction noise, but we were up and out early, so that wasn't an issue for us.

Check was a breeze and Daniel was available to answer any questions I had. Great place in a great location! No complaints! Would definitely book again! Thanks Daniel!

    Nita2017-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Daniels place was perfect for our family. We had 5-7 people in this large 3 bedroom and it was very clean! It was right beside the Light rail and exactly what we needed after a long day of touring Manhattan. We ate a majority of our meals (breakfast/dinner) in the apartment so just a heads up there is limited items in the kitchen. We had enough dinner/small plates, pots, bowls and cutlery but that’s about it. It would have been nice to have more glasses, large bowls and oven pans. But other than that we made due and it was nice to have the ice/water machine on the fridge and even better there was a dishwasher/washer/dryer and parking space! Would not hesitate to stay here again and Daniel was easy to deal with.

Overall Bushwick: "This is an old story: Starting in the 1970s, with New York in bankruptcy, artists got to run wild in abandoned spaces on Manhattan’s West Side waterfront and colonize the cast-iron buildings of Tribeca and SoHo (which was so down-and-out in the late ’60s it very nearly had a highway on stilts built over it). From there artists moved into the East Village, with its old walk-up buildings, then eventually hopped the river to Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and then further along the L subway line to...where we are now, Bushwick, a sort of truckscape of sweatshops and garages and few charming brownstones. Since 2000, according to a survey by the Center for the Urban Future, Bushwick has seen a 1,116 percent increase in its artist population—the biggest increase in any New York City neighborhood." - DEPARTURES Magazine, Carl Swanson, 2017.
  • I would recommend this Airbnb

    Niko2018-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Airbnb was in a good location and is good if you don't plan on staying indoors for long. The hosts never introduced themselves to us (even though they were living there), and there were so many people there we were unsure who they were. The room is very noisy and the whole apartment is as well. In hindsight, I would not stay here again just because it was such an awkward environment and the apartment is generally run down.

  • The host was very helpful . The directions posted in the apartment and the rooms made it very easy to navigate through the city and neighborhood. The apartment is totally hip, cool, and chic filled with modern art. It was super comfortable and felt like Home . I had access to the kitchen and fridge so I didn’t have to order food if I didn’t need to . My only negative is not about the hosts or apartment per say. Other guests should be more respectful when using shared spaces . People would use the bathrooms and not clean after themselves . It shouldn’t be up to the hide to clean every 5 minutes someone leaves the rest room you all are adults this is not a hotel. Anyway thanks again Madia

  • Good location, cool area. Very thin walls between rooms, so can be a bit noisy at night. Though we didnt had any problems with that, sleept good all four nights we stayed.

  • Do. Not. Stay. Here. I repeat - do NOT pay money to stay here. The only good things I have to say is that it’s in a good location, it’s fairly easy to check yourself in and the bed linens were clean. Other than that, this was a horrifying experience. The bed was hard and incredibly uncomfortable. There was a creepy, dirty mannequin head behind our bed. There were random magazine clippings taped to the wall with masking tape. Near the foot of the bed was a huge hole in the wall that had been poorly covered by someone taping a mailing envelope over it. The whole common area is filled with the hosts random crap. Which makes sense - we were clearly sleeping in what should have been a storage closet. The tiny “room” was clearly created by someone doing a bad DIY job of dividing a normal apartment into a bunch of tiny spaces. I imagine them placing a bunch of beds against the wall and then building up the drywall around them. The work is clearly very poorly done and is already coming apart. You can see cracks at the ceiling, floor, and walls. I was very concerned that the bathroom had black mold in it. What a horrifying safety issue. Another sign of poor workmanship. There were a TON of people crammed into this apartment. There were at least 7 other doors near ours. It was clear that others were uncomfortable too. In the night, someone on the other side of the people next to us screamed SHUT UP very loudly to the people who were talking (not loud) in the “room” next to ours. We were not provided with towels and it became clear that people had been using the one hand towel in the bathroom for washing their face or drying off after a shower. After the first night, it was so disgusting that I no longer used it. We couldn’t shower during our stay because of this. The whole place was also falling apart. The pictures of the listing are different than what you get. Stay far away. Spend a little more money and you will be able to keep your dignity. I have never experienced a lack of basic amenities in anywhere I have stayed before.

  • Great little place - super close to a subway, you can be in the city within 20 mins. Very great value for money - perfect if you’ll be out and about, and not spending too much time Indoors. Comfy bed, great shower. Can be noisy, not hosts fault though - it’s a busy part of Brooklyn! Ear plugs recommended, but apart from that, what more could you want for such a great price! Would definitely stay here again and recommend to other young travellers :)

  • Everything went super smoothly for my stay at Ben and Madi’s. Check-in was easy, and they even let me drop off my stuff before check-in and grab the keys as I had a concert to get to around the actual check-in time. Location is great too, very close to the train and near awesome food and right by L Train Vintage if you’re a retro fashion junkie like myself. All in all, it was an awesome stay and I have no complaints!
