Places to stay in North Tipperary

Places to stay in North Tipperary
Recently awarded 'Most Unique Listing in Ireland' by Airbnb! This cabin is nestled in a tranquil woodland setting, with uninterrupted panoramic views over Lough Derg all the way to the Sliabh Aughty hills in Galway. The cabin is far away from busy roads and street lights and is a haven of birdsong, starry nights and spectacular sunsets with "one of the best views we have ever woken up to". Fully equipped with kitchen, bathroom and lofted bedroom; and is suitable for all seasons.
You have a seperate entrance and car parking facility. We live adjacent to the cabin but it is not overlooked. The cabin was designed and built by Stephen (a master carpenter) who was inspired by the 'Tiny Homes Movement' which advocates living simply on a smaller scale. It is built from locally sourced timber, is fully insulated and has low voltage led lighting; all designed to increase sustainability and minimise the environmental impact. Although small in scale, the cabin contains everything you could need for a perfect holiday experience.
This area is far from the busy tourist trails and is a well-kept secret haven of natural beauty. However, our central location means you are only an hour from the 'Wild Atlantic Way' and less than two hours from Dublin.
  • We loved the spot and the setting. Highly recommended!

  • Steve and Aine are wonderful hosts. They picked and dropped us in Nenagh city centre as we didn't have our own vehicle. They provided us with all the essentials we asked for and helped quickly. The house itself is so full of amenities that we enjoyed every bit of the "Human nest." Enjoyed the nature at it's best. Birds chirping and the smell of the wet ground and grass was therapeutic and made us feel content. Amazing place to stay. Go for it. ♥️🙂

  • Ruth is a terrific host who was quick to greet us immediately on checkin and offer some local food and drink places to visit. Furthermore, due to uncertainty with the corona virus we weren’t sure where we were going to stay or possibly even be trapped in Ireland. Ruth was quick to offer up her place to us until we got sorted, and was nothing but nice and thoughtful with recommendations on what to do. Thank you Ruth!!

  • Location in a very quiet neighborhood and not far from the city center and markets (a good quality convenience store nearby). The house is very comfortable, clean and cozy. The kitchen has all the necessary equipment, the dishes are very good and there is availability of coffee and tea (we love it!).The host wasn't present in our stay, but was always available and attentive. We had a lot of privacy and for that we appreciated that the choice was right. Highly recommend and hope to return.

  • The Loft is by far one of the cosiest places myself and my girlfriend have stayed in. In the heart of the Irish countryside, you'll find yourself staying in a modern and stylish apartment that is cared for by wonderful hosts that manage to make you feel right at home whether you come from 10 minutes away or 100 miles away. As we booked it for Valentine's day, little touches were added by our hosts that really made the experience that much more wonderful.

  • Rachel's accommodation in Cloughjordon was lovely. We stayed for one night as we were attending a wedding in Cloughjordon House, this worked out brilliantly as there was only a few minutes walk through a garden door between the two locations. The accommodation is very well set up, spotlessly clean and has all amenities you need. Rachel was a lovely host and welcomed us with a warm and friendly demeanour. We would highly recommend.

  • Wonderful! On every level

    Nikki2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment is definitely one of the best Airbnb's I have stayed in. It was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. A lot more roomy that I thought too from the photos. Rachel and Dara supplied a range of items for breakfast (bread, eggs, cereal, muesli, yoghurt, milk, blueberries even!) which was much more than expected. Less than a 5 minute walk to CJH through the "ecovillage gate" if you are attending a function/cooking classes there. I would 100% recommend this accommodation.

    Jean2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay, especially if you are attending a wedding at cloughjordan house. Extremely close to the venue. The accommodation was really clean, modern and had some really nice touches. Would definitely recommend it.

    Alan2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect location if you are going to a wedding at Cloughjordan House but also would be a lovely spot to spend a few days. The apartment is very welcoming, comfortable and well laid out. Rachel and Dara couldn't have been more helpful.

The town is the second largest in Tipperary and has a rich history dating from the Norman settlement and there are plenty of sights to see. Take in the historic castle, jail, and old Franciscan Abbey and why not stop off at the local heritage and genealogy centre to trace your ancestors. In the surrounding area, there are many wonderful marked loop trails for walking and biking. Search irishtrails.ie , location- Tipperary and look around the Nenagh area. There are plenty of outdoor activities, such as horse riding, and a forest suitable for mountain biking a short drive away in the Silvermines. The stunning Lough Derg is also easily accessible for fishing, sailing and other watersports, golf, tennis, and lots more. For the more adventurous visitor, the sandy beaches of Kilkee and Lahinch are both just 1.5 hours away and both locations have dive centres and some of the best diving in Ireland. Built as a hunting lodge c.1860. The house fronts the Mulcair River, is surrounded by farms and forest, and sits in the valley at the base of Keeper Hill, the highest peak in Tipperary. Approx 30 mins from Limerick city, 45 mins Shannon airport, 1.30 hrs Cliffs of Moher, 2 hrs Dublin. An ideal base for walking (the Slieve Felim Way passes the front gate) with a number of loop walks accessible on foot. Starry skies and wide open vistas on offer. Own transport essential. Free parking.
The house has been modernised without compromising it's historical nature (thus no en-suites!). There are two bedrooms available each with a double bed, however if you are a couple or two people who want a room with two separate single beds we can do that, just let us know when you book. Our ethos is "country comfortable" and eco-friendly. So if it's a bit chilly we are more likely to offer you an extra blanket for the bed than to turn on the (hi-tech but wood fired) central heating. We are keen gardeners and grow a lot of out own food and at the same time encourage insects and wildlife through wildflower and natural habitat. We have three dogs, two of them rescue. You definitely need to like dogs to stay here. The scenery and quiet location lend themselves to walking, painting, writing, and general contemplation of nature. If you are touring about then this is a good stop off between Dublin and Kerry/Cork and for wider exploring into parts of Clare and the Wild Atlantic Way. The nearest pub is 5kms away in Killoscully and is a small, traditional and friendly place which serves an excellent pint of Guinness. It was the interior half of the pub location for Pat Short's "Killinascully", a comedy series set in the rural hills of Ireland
A quiet rural location, paradise for the genuine country lover. Nenagh town is 20 minutes drive and has a good range of independent shops and supermarkets.

The cottage is in the grounds of owner's home with private courtyard set amidst farm and woodland. It features a roll top bath, log burning stove and beautiful antique furniture but with all mod cons. Two miles from village with pub/restaurant and lough Derg famous for fishing and sailing.
This cottage is very peaceful, a great place to unwind, but also very central so a great base for traveling around Ireland. There is a twin room and double room both ensuite, one with a shower and the bath room has a hand held shower. The cottage is south facing and looks out onto a lovely courtyard.
Very attractive countryside and close to beautiful lough Derg.

  • If you want a cottage feel experience on your holidays Derry’s Fairy Fort is recommended. The rooms are cozy, clean and homely.

  • Charming cottage set in stunning surrounds. Superb for kids and Derry was the perfect host. Certainly hope to return one day.

  • We spend a couple of nights in the cottage with family visiting from France and it was everything we wanted it to be and more. Really cute and really authentic. A great place to stay to get away from the city for few days.

  • A lovely comfortable cottage, perfect for a small group, in a really peaceful location. Great hosts, very friendly and ready to help. Highly recommend.

  • It was already our second visit at this cottage. It's absolutely lovely and quiet. Best was to have peat for the fire. And of course the visits from the lovely dogs.

  • A beautiful little cottage. If walls could talk, there would be many stories to listen to. On a clear night you will see many stars and the milky way, because the light pollution is not very high. Best part of our stay was sitting in front of the fire with Pippi (the owner´s dog) next to me. Wonderful place for families with kids, because there is no traffic.

    North Tipperary, Tipperary, Ireland

Time travel does exist! Five hundred years old, ten years in the making and now you can stay the night! Imagine being transported back through five centuries and having a unique, romantic "overknighter" in The Great Hall of our authentic 16th century Irish castle. A sanctuary from the modern world, The Black Castle is nestled amongst the beautiful rolling hills of North Tipperary (it's not such a long way!) with stunning Lough Derg, and all that it has to offer, on our doorstep
UPDATE Winter is going ;-) and most of our available overknighters for 2020 have now been booked. Please see our availability calendar for the last remaining dates. An "overknighter" in The Great Hall is the closest you can come to experience living in the 16th century....a rustic retreat for history and nature lovers, artists or anyone looking to totally disconnect from the 21st century. Our location is rural so if you're looking for bright lights, big city this may not be the place for you but if you like bright stars and big skies and being surrounded by nature.... Built by the O'Kennedys in the 1500's, The Black Castle's rugged realm is surrounded by fields, forestry and ancient woods and bordered by a crystal-clear stream. Access is via its own private road, with no passing traffic, just off The Lough Derg Scenic Drive. You will be staying in our authentically furnished Great Hall, sleeping in our beautiful, bespoke King size bed... fit for royalty with finest quality bedding, Egyptian cotton sheets, luxurious duvet and pillows. Our quest is to offer you the most unique, authentic castle experience possible and to recreate the atmosphere of what it would be like to immerse yourself in the 16th century. This means there are all the mod-cons one would expect 500 years ago.... ie there is NO modern heating (except the magnificent open fireplace and hot water bottles). There is NO TV, NO CD/DVD player and with very limited internet connection...gasp, NO WiFi. It's the perfect opportunity to take a break from the constant intrusions of modern life. For relaxation and entertainment there are books to browse and games provided including replica 18th century playing cards, Backgammon, a delightful Lewis Chess set and a Fidchell (Celtic chess) set. There is NO ELECTRICITY whatsoever in The Great Hall, only the warm glow of candlelight and firelight (we provide abundant candles and fuel). Don't panic though! An Overknighter at The Black Castle doesn't mean you have to go completely back to The Dark Ages as THERE IS ELECTRICITY in the "kitchenette" (a room below The Great Hall). Here you'll find a mini fridge/freezer, an electric kettle, a DeLonghi coffee machine with a variety of Nespresso coffees, two induction cooking rings, a Smeg toaster and a Belfast sink with hot and cold running water. A Continental style breakfast is provided which includes speciality teas, quality coffee, rustic bread, cereals, yogurts, juice, fruit and local produce (where possible). Tomatoes, mushrooms, eggs, potato farls and bacon are also provided if you would like to cook yourself a hot breakfast. A welcome hamper, with a sweet treat or two, is also provided. You can recharge your phone, tablet etc in the kitchenette. The Great Hall is on the second floor and the only access is by our 16th century stone spiral staircase which means that the Black Castle may unfortunately not be suitable for those who have restricted mobility. NB: Authentically in keeping with the 16th century ;-) there is NO SHOWER or BATH at the castle. The "BATHROOM" consists of an eco-friendly DRY TOILET (composting toilet/"gardaloo"© Cody Long ;-) thank you!) Natural, handmade soap and hand towels are provided. We are doing as much as we can to minimise our carbon footprint/ environmental impact (and preserve the 16th century atmosphere) so there are no fluffy dressing gowns or single-use slippers provided. We have also kept any "landscaping" to a minimum in an effort to support the local wildlife #beefriendlyairbeenbee The castle will be EXCLUSIVELY YOUR SPACE during your stay. We are on site, only a minute or two away in case you need us for anything, but out of sight during your visit. Not only is the castle exclusively yours during your overknighter, venture outside and there's 13 rugged acres for you to explore too. Next to the campfire, there’s rustic seating for dining al fresco if the weather is fine. We are slowly restoring The Black Castle but The Great Hall is now complete. By choosing to stay here you will become entwined in the castle's history (and its future!) as any "profit" we make from your overknighter goes straight back into the restoration, meaning you're helping The Black Castle "earn its keep", enabling it to stand proud for another 500 years. Speaking of 500 years, this is an ancient building, not built for modern standards/sensibilities so please bear this in mind. The Black Castle is approximately an hour’s drive north east of Shannon International airport, via the M7 motorway, 2 hours via the M50/M7 motorway from Dublin/Dublin International airport. It's roughly a ten to fifteen min drive to the popular lakeside villages of Dromineer and Terryglass, and fifteen min drive south to Nenagh town (recently named "Ireland's second friendliest place"). The pretty village of Puckaun is about 5 min away and has a grocery shop and two pubs. Unfortunately, there is no public transport in the area so you will require your own mode of transport. We want you to have an unforgettable experience (in the best way) at The Black Castle so if you’re the adventurous type who is looking for something unique and can happily survive without some 21st Century comforts for one or two nights then this might just be the place for you. Any questions about your stay, please feel free to ask me. This really is a beautiful area, with lots of accommodation and eating options, and if you would like to spend more time exploring it before or after your overknighter at The Black Castle we would be happy to provide more information and suggestions.
Beautiful Lough Derg is just up the road with sailing, fishing and other water sports on offer. Our rural location and dark skies means great stargazing too!
  • I knew this experience was going to be special, but I couldn’t have imagined just how special. Sonja was so communicative and helpful (and patient!), and when I arrived I walked into the magical space to find candles lit, a sweet note, and everything just beyond perfect. She went over and above what was expected. The bed was the best I have slept in in two trips to Ireland....felt like a queen! It’s impossible to convey how it feels to stay in this magical space - but I didn’t want to leave, and I can’t wait to come back!

    Suzanne2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • If I could give this experience 10 stars I would. It’s hard to express how special being in this place is... all the history, combined with all the obvious labors of love that Sonja and Kevin have put into it in order to provide a once in a lifetime experience for the rest of us is just mind boggling. I keep pinching myself - and I’ve done a lot of traveling in my time. I am so grateful, and Sonja has been amazing (and then some) from start to finish. INCREDIBLE!!!

    Suzanne2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is one of the great experiences on offer anywhere. Having done a lot of outrageous adventures, this is right at the top. An absolutely stunning renovation of a 16th century tower, the physical space is matched by the wonderful hospitality of Sonja, Kevin , and Tilly. You will never forget your stay at the Black Castle. Please, do yourself a favour and visit. Honestly one of world's great places, with some of the world's best hosts. Incredible.

    Roland2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Idyllic setting. You are transported back in time with a lovingly resorted home. The friendly welcome of our host makes this fantastic getaway well worth the trip.

    Aldrin2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place....this place is breathtaking. There aren't enough positive adjectives in the English language that I can leave here. Words just don't do it justice. The castle is amazing - majestic. Kevin and Sonja put so much love into restoring a relic, and you can feel the spirit of it throughout the building. Not only was the castle and its amenities incredible - Kevin and Sonja were incredible people. They were amazing hosts that my partner and I now consider friends. Their hospitality is unmatched. I don't want to go through and explain every personal touch they left for us - I'd rather the traveler be surprised. I can't recommend this place enough. Amazing, amazing experience.

    Brandon2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • A truly magical experience! When you walk through the doors of the black castle you step back 500 years in time. The hosts have perfected every detail on the furnishings and interior to make your stay amazing! Best of all is they are the friendliest most hospitable people you will meet. This was the best night of our honeymoon trip, like a medieval fairy tale come true. It is an experience we will never forget. If you are looking for a unique and authentic castle experience this is a must on your list!

    Gina2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Wow. Awesome. Incredible. These words can't even describe the entire experience Sonja and Kevin and Tilly provide. This was by far the highlight of our 9 day trip. Absolutely fantastic!

    William2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Truly a fairytale castle with all the beautiful perks and Kevin & Sonja made sure to make us feel extra special for our upcoming wedding. Absolutely, surreal place to stay!

  • What a wonderful weekend in this beautiful Manor House. Myself and my husband booked this for a getaway for out first wedding anniversary, we love something a little different and this certainly met our needs! The house is absolutely amazing, exactly as the pictures show. Kay greeted us on arrival and could not do enough for us, she was an absolutely wonderful host and the extra little touches she added really made us feel extra special. The recommendations provided from the host were excellent in regards to where to eat, where to go etc. There's lots of options of places to visit, I only wish we could of stayed another few days to squeeze it all in! Situated in the heart of the Tipperary hillside, less than 10 minutes drive from Nenagh, and only 10 miles from the beautiful Lough Derg on the River Shannon, Grove Cottage offers warmth, peace and tranquility in a charming rural setting. You’ll love the outdoors space, the light, wonderful walking and fishing opportunities and access to the Silvermines Scenic Trail. Our place is excellent for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids), and big groups.
There is a large garden in two areas adjacent to the back of the cottage and nine apple trees nearby The farm of 40 acres is at the back but there is an electric fence and guests walk there at their own risk
The cottage is a mile from a supermarket, garage, and pub and is two miles from Silvermines Village. There is a Tourist Information Office in the town of Nenagh (5 miles away) and an ocean of fliers in the cottage lounge
  • Outstanding. Way beyond my expectations & with great communications from the host. Set in the idyllic hills of Dolla, the house was sparkling clean with everything you needed for a peaceful and relaxing getaway/vacation. Nice touches included turf & firewood for the fire, suggestions on places to eat and even a directed walk through the farmland that abutted the house. Plenty of reading and games to play (not that we had time, given there was much to explore and in our case family to visit. We will be back in Ireland in July - and I will have no hesitation of booking again. Five stars all-round.

  • This is my second time in Grove Cottage, and hopefully it won’t be the last. It was sleet rain during our stay and my two young kids loved playing games and watching for the donkey to reappear. It was lovely to be away from WiFi and just spend time together. In the morning they loved the garden. My three year old sat at the front door this morning crying as he wasn’t leaving! The house was spotless. We loved our time, thank you Edward.

Located in a secluded mountain valley (45mins Shannon, 2hrs Dublin), a perfect hideaway for writers/artists. We created this space to enable a supportive, comfortable and quiet place with great access to the outdoors for walking and breathing and being immersed in nature. We endeavour to provide all you need to do your best work. When you contact us please tell us a bit about yourself. If your needs vary from the parameters set here just let us know and we will see what we can do for you.
The space is the top floor of an old barn and has outdoor steps leading up to it. It is separate from the main house, has a double bed, comfy sofa, writing desk, private bathroom, and a "kitchen corner" for microwaving and making hot drinks. You can make and have meals in the main house and in fact we want you to join us for dinner! We have three dogs so you must be a dog lover, or at least dog friendly, to stay here.
There are many wonderful walks to take right outside the door. The terrain is variable and rarely flat.
  • Roy & Roz's place is absolutely beautiful. A little sliver of heaven at the bottom the valley beside a gurgling river. The space is gorgeous and the hosts are friendly, curious and gracious. A little bit like going to stay with friends for the weekend, only these friends live in a nicer part of the world and are better cooks. Will definitely come back again.

    Sasha2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great hide away where you can hear the glorious sound of the Mulkier river as you fall into the best sleep ever in this highly insulated stylish space. Roz also made lovely fresh food including home grown ingredients... the best place to stay in Ireland

    Deej Alison2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • The woodshed was such a lovely lovely experience, so welcoming, cosy and peaceful. It's cleverly thought out and beautifully decorated. Roz and Roy couldn't have been more hospitable or helpful. The area has stunning scenery.....I only wish I could have stayed longer. Absolutely recommend. 5 stars all round.

    Dawna2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • The place is like no other I have stayed in before! The woodshed was a lovely home for 5 nights, where I got to focus on working on my photographs. It was a peaceful and quiet place to work in and it was nice to have nature wake me up in the morning, such as one of the roosters. When I wanted to be surrounded by sound while working I also had access to a speaker to which I connected my phone, a nice touch! Roz and Roy made me feel at ease and we also got to spend quality time chatting over food or over a pint or while picking wild berries. We shared some really amazing food and this was a very nice blessed addition to my stay. The place is in a beautiful spot and accessible to scenic hiking routes. I would recommend anyone to come stay here. And just like another fellow guest has put, I do too hope to return here.

    Cristina2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • The Woodshed Retreat is just the world's best place to spend some time and recalibrate. I spent over two weeks there and can't explain just how wonderful it was to work on my novel in such tranquil surroundings. The sound of the river close by was so relaxing, so too was the bathroom, the comfortable bed, the lovely bath. I ate many delicious meals with Roz and Roy (Quasimodo) but I could have also used the microwave, kettle, fridge etc which is set up in the room. It's a fantastic, very thoughtfully appointed space. There are great walks nearby too and lots of animals to play with. I have deeply struggled with coming home and can't wait to come back again soon!!!! Thank you so much to my AMAZING hosts who were so hospitable and such good fun. My only reservation about leaving this review is the fear that everyone will hear about it and it will be booked up for eternity! Please keep this place a secret! It is easily the best airbnb I have ever stayed in.

    Philippa2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • My stay with Roy & Roz was amazing - I was there in total for ten days. I was their first author to stay in the outdoor home, and I loved every minute. I had the peace and tranquility to work on my novel, gorgeous walks around the local area and great conversation over breakfast, lunch and dinner. The location is beautiful. In between Keeper's Hill and Step, great views and landscapes and places to explore - lots of wildlife, too! I found my own routes on some days and both Roy and Roz recommended other paths to explore! (Including a visit to a Sweat House!) I would recommend staying in this place very much. I shared amazing food and felt very at home as soon as I arrived. My experience in the outdoor home was great for what I needed - some space to think and to write. (Would recommend to other writers too!) Both Roy & Roz are very friendly and lovely hosts. I really hope to return.

Very supportive of the family historian who has come to explore her origins. Very comfy bed, yummy food, great selections for breakfast. I will stay again and highly recommend Tricia & Willowbrook.

  • Cannot fault this fantastic BnB. Tom and Tricia are so welcoming and run a beautiful guest house. We came for a wedding at nearby Ashley Park House and everything was made very easy for us - from getting taxis to the venue to a much needed fry up and soothing piano music the morning after! The house itself is pristine, with beautifully kept garden and airy, spacious rooms. I had to be dragged from the bed in the morning as it was so comfortable. It'd also be great for a longer visit - Tricia and Tom are full of recommendations of things to see and do. Fair to say the finest AirBnB booking we've ever made. Highly recommended!

  • A super place to stay to enjoy local music and to explore Tipperary. Very friendly host and area in general. So many places to easily explore with day trips, it was a superb base of operation and cozy and warm, with a lovely fire to end every wonderful day. Fun to interact with the animals and a very special fairy fort as well. Charming, rural, but not too far off the beaten path. I recommend!

Warm and friendly house in the middle of a lovely village.Enjoy lough derg and it's surrounding areas in the beautiful house near the lake and in the heart of the village. This is the ideal location for coolbawn quay, ashley park house and Nenagh weddings.
Puckane is an attractive and bustling village and includes Kennedy's Bar, long favoured by musicians and song-writers alike with songwriters such as Shane MacGowan and Christy Moore immortalising the village in songs. The village was a favourite holiday spot of the actor Gene Kelly, famed for the classic Singin' in the Rain. Puckane is nearby to the eastern shores of Lough Derg, Ireland's largest pleasure lake, with its renowned boating and sailing clubs and scenic walking and cycling routes. Nenagh town is just 6 miles or 9 kilometres away and has a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. The lakeside village of Dromineer, home to one of the oldest yacht clubs in the world, is just 6 kilometres away.
  • Grainne was very helpful and had lots of breakfast food ready for us. We also had nice towels and toiletries in the bathroom. She was very quick to reply and give us relevant information and we were very happy with our stay overall.

  • Lovely house to stay in, Grainne was very accommodating and welcoming. Really enjoyed my stay.

    Adrian2019-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Grainne's house is amazing. It is like a haven after cramped hotel rooms. It is exceptionally clean with great amenities. Grainne is a wonderful host who goes out of her way to be helpful and to make sure her guest's stay in perfect. The village is very close to lots of amazing sites and the surrounding garden and countryside is lovely. We have even met some of Grainne's family and some very friendly and helpful locals in the village. I can't recommend staying here highly enough. It is such a pleasant change from touristy towns and cities yet close enough to drive to attractions. I will definitely stay here again if we return to Ireland.

Go Wild Camping on the Fairy Fort or beside the little stream. This is Tranquility Reborn. Enjoy nature at its best. Love and respect the FairyFort, home of the Fairies and Leprechauns ! Visit the stream, and listen to the music of the little waterfall and hear the origins of ancient Celtic words, hewn directly from Mother Nature itself ! Avoid crowded campsites, pitch your tent at Fairy Fort Farm. Ideal for families, couples or solo travellers.
Pitch your tent in the Fairy Fort surrounded by trees and sheltered from the breeze. Amazing night skies with no light pollution ensure a wonderful star gazing experience. You can also pitch your tent in one of the fields and enjoy stunning views over the surrounding countryside. Enjoy visiting the animals, hens, geese, ponies, goats, sheep, rabbits etc. The farm is located in a quiet and peaceful location at the end of a cul de sac lane. No cars whizzing by at day or night make it extremely safe for young children and ensure a relaxed stay.

  • Michael was such a great host. He was very accommodating, quick at responding and also understanding. His land is amazing, the animals are a great addition to the location. He was there to greet us and brought us down to the shop when we were indeed. I highly recommend the main house we booked. Plenty of beds for a big bunch if a big group wanted to get together for a few nights away of fun.

  • An island of magic in the middle of the hills, Ireland the real one! And a great man in heart as great as his country, who invites you to travel ... If you are lucky you may be able to meet some fairies! I recommend from the bottom of my heart.
