    Situated within walking distance to The Strand beach this compact townhouse comfortably sleeps up to to four guests - for those who would rather spend their funds on enjoying what Townsville has to offer.
    Upstairs is a Queen bed, and there is a sofa bed (double) located downstairs in the living area.

Activities and Nightlife: - Stroll to The Strand, Rock Pool, FREE Water Park, make use of the many playgrounds and BBQ facilities, or check out the monthly Strand night Markets / weekly Cotters Market in Flinders St (2km). - Enjoy the many beachside bars and cafes along the Strand, or wander Palmer St to sample the restaurants before a night out at Flinders St East for live music at one of the many pubs or nightclubs. - For a fitness challenge walk Castle Hill or explore Jezzine Barracks. - Catch a bus from the main street (230mt) out to Cape Pallarenda, or get your "shop" on at Castletown and Stockland shopping centres. - Townsville Reef Aquarium, Museum of Tropical North Queensland. - And of course, jump on the ferry to Magnetic Island for a range of adventures!

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Bills very large apartment! It’s the entire floor and is furnished beautifully. It’s very hot at the moment but even with the aircon off, the apartment stays really cool. The location is perfect, it’s right across the road from the beautiful Strand. Bill has thought of everything, we brought a lot of our own stuff but it wasn’t necessary as it was all there!! All in all it was a wonderful stay and we will definitely be back here!

    Airy and light. Top floor with great views of Magnetic Island and the beach foreshore. Very close to Gregory Street cafes and restaurants. Close to beach,waterpark and Tobruk pool. Supermarket is a 1 minute walk. City is a 5 minute walk away. Lounge room with leather lounge suite opens onto verandah with stunning views. Separate dining area and modern kitchen. Two bedrooms available each with a queen size bed and ensuite. Separate laundry with washing machine and dryer available.
    I love my home, it's open, airy and great views over to Magnetic Island and up to the Palm Islands. It is the 3rd floor of the unit complex, however access is via the stairs. It's across the road from the beach. If you like walking The Strand is a great walk. Or walk to The Rockpool for a swim. It's a short walk into the city centre, close to cafes, shops and restaurants. If you want to buy food, Coles, a bakery, butcher and The Source are in the shopping complex across the road at the back of the complex. Quiet cul de sac and only 2 other units in the complex.
    Close to all amenities. Cafes, restaurants, supermarket, butcher, bakery, clothes shops, Seaview Hotel and the beautiful Strand.

  • The outside of the building isn't that appealing but inside is great. It was like a home away from home. Every gadget you would want was in the kitchen, there were games, DVD's, pencils/crayons in the lounge, the main bed was very comfortable and the ensuite clean and practical. All rooms had aircon/heat pumps and ceiling fans which cooled the place down well as it was mid 30's when I was there. The 2nd bedroom was large although the esnuite was smallish but functional. There was a small laundry which I didn't need but would be handy for longer stays although the clothes lines and peg were pretty dated. There wasn't a lift which would be an issue for someone with a pram or mobility issues but for myself it was fine. The location was a block away from a lot of eateries and Coles, Subway, KFC etc so there was no shortage of food choices. It was only a matter of meters from The Strand. With the fan/heat pump being needed at night I didn't hear any traffic or people. There was bottle of red wine waiting on arrival and chocolates on the beds. It would certainly be my first choice when visiting TSV next time.

  • We really enjoyed our four night stay here. The view is even better than the pictures! The studio apartment was perfectly adequate for the two of us & we felt very comfortable. The bed was lovely & we appreciated that there were 4 pillows to choose from. We used the balcony quite often during the day & evenings. The air con was much appreciated too, but we did not have to use it often. The small kitchen was well equipped for preparing small meals. The coffee pods & milk were a very welcome touch, as were the toiletries & beach towels. We also liked the large walk in shower. The location was ideal with plenty of restaurants close by & a Coles supermarket within easy walking distance. Wendy’s communication & after hour access instructions were very clear. Wendy was very kind & friendly. We hope to return to Townsville & stay here again in the near future & have no hesitation to recommend to others.

The studio unit is perfect for singles and couples here for work or Play all welcome , Very secure building, . There is a top of the range Queen bed dinning setting outdoor setting on the balcony, the unit has a large 3 seat new leather couch. Just fitted a large flat screen brand new 43 inch UHD SmartTV with foxtel/Netflix which has fox sports NRL AFL news movies on demand . The studio unit has a basic kitchenette consists of a kettle toaster microwave/convection and full size fridge freezer(not a useless bar fridge) a cafe grill sandwich press perfect for making toasties there is a coffee maker with real coffee and real milk, has a sink crockery and cutlery etc . There are electric BBQ'S across the road on the sea front. The unit is cleaned and made up for your arrival, All linen is supplied including pool towels, There are 2 lifts parking is free , there is a laundry located on level 1 with washers and dryers, there is a linen basket in the studio with laundry liquid for your use there is lots of little extras you wont find with others, Aquarius pool is on the strand front with plenty of sun recliners , Next door to Aquarius is the watermark bar and grill and takeaway, great place for meals and drinks overlooking the strand. there are many takeaway cafes restaurants bars and fast food places all a few minutes walk and also a Coles shopping is a easy 5 minutes walk away. What we offer here is not five star just clean / comfortable/ well furnished affordable in the best location and views in Townsville. The unit is cleaned and made up for your arrival, Should you need a early check in or late check out let us know , we will do our best if possible.
    Beachfront strand in the best location in Townsville , fabulous views from one of the highest points the tallest building along the strand and 1312 is top floor , walk to the rock pool, cafes bars restaurants, public transport is right out front. makes this a perfect place to stay for singles and couples.

  • Carolyn and Bill's place has a wonderful view, you cannot fault the outlook. A small balcony with table and chairs provided to enjoy that glass of wine or your early morning coffee/breakfast looking at the glorious view. We stayed at the apartment 1312 over the New Years celebrations and is was the best location to be able to watch the New Year's Eve fireworks. You could not beat this for location. Room 1312 is located on the top floor of "The Acquarius Apartments", located at the very end of Level 13, the building is older style and the room is basic, it is a studio apartment as advised. And is not 5 star as mentioned. The location on the Strand is great with many restaurants within walking distance to choose from. With the Rock pool and netted beach swim area with is patrolled beach is walking distance of the apartment. Check in was very easy with instructions provided from the host. There is limited cooking facilities in the apartment but most of the utensils / cooking implements that you would require on a short holiday. Some condiments are provided sauces, milk, water, S&P, milo, foil, glad wrap etc. A good size fridge is provided as well. The king bed is very comfortable and wi-fi worked very well in the room. Good size TV with foxtel. Air conditioning was much appreciated in the apartment. No washing machine or dryer is in the room but there are laundry facilities located on Level 1 of the apartment building to use with a fee, I did not use these appliances so I cannot comment on these facilities. The bathroom is older style with a handy bath/shower if required, and toiled located in the bathroom, we did have some issues on arrival but these were attended to with a quick call to the hosts and rectified. The apartment is very quiet and you do not hear any noise from the adjoining apartment. The building has a lovely pool area that is kept very clean with loungers provided and a new deck to sit on enjoy. Parking at the apartments is a first come first served basis, so not enough car spaces available for everyone when the apartments are all full, street parking is available to use. In the foyer of the building there are many brochures on activities to do in the area and also provided is a drink machine and chip/lolly machine for your convenience. The gardens around the building are maintained and are lovely to enjoy sitting in and relaxing. A nice place to visit.

Five minutes walk to the splash park if you have kids and many great restaurants within walking distance. Colleen and John we’re really thoughtful, leaving a nice selection of food and drinks for us.     If your visiting Townsville the only location you want to be is THE STRAND, the apartment is in a block of 4 and 2 of these are residential. It's an older style apartment with comfortable furnishings and clean. It is an upstairs unit and has nice breezes. Both bedrooms have air cons to have a good night sleep in the summer months but there is no air conditioning throughout the main living areas but there are fans. Tea and coffee is provided free of charge. NBN has been installed with Wi-Fi
    The apartment is within walking distance to everything that Townsville has to offer The Rock pool, Water park, Restaurants, Bars, Casino and Ferry to Magnetic island. It's such a nice area to walk along the beachfront from the apartment.

    Self contained unit. Both bedrooms are air conditioned, the main bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has two single beds. An additional air mattress can be provided for a 5th person if needed however it's only a mattress on the floor. The bathroom has access from both bedrooms with locks on both doors for privacy. Kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, glass cooktop and cooking utensils. In the laundry there is a 5kg washing machine, extra towels and linen for long term stayers. The living area has a split air conditioner, television, DVD player, comfortable lounge, bookcase with games, DVD's and there is a writing desk with printer.

The fridge was full of food and drinks, which is very nice coming from an intercontinental flight. Romee gave us all tips about where to go etc. A few days later we had dinner together with her husband. The appartment has everything you want for a short or long stay. We most certainly will come back if we are staying in Townsville again. Highly recommend.

The location of the apartment is so central, it could not be more convenient. The aircon was also amazing as it was quite hot during our visit. The undercover parking was also helpful so we could leave our car during the day. The apartment itself was perfect for my husband and I to spend the Christmas holiday in Townsville.     The Space While this apartment maintains many of its 70's retro features; it does offer comfort and location in a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom space with open plan living and dining area. If you have young children we can arrange a baby high chair and offer a porta cot (please bring your own linen for the cot). The main entrance offers a coded deadlock for a smooth Self Check-In. All bedrooms and living areas have airconditioning. There is a TV in the living room but due to reception issues will only work for guests that have their own Netflix account. There is Unlimited High Speed Internet for guests. The complete kitchen boasts a fridge/freezer, combined oven and cook top and is set up with everything you need to whip up a holiday meal. If you're not in the mood for cooking and you're looking for something fancier take a stroll to the beautiful Strand where you can dine with a view at one of the many restaurants, bars and cafes.
    Close to the Strand, there are numerous places to eat; try the amazing Bakehouse on Eyre right at the end of our street. You won't be disappointed. There are many beautiful walking tracks in this suburb; whether you choose to stroll along the Strand looking out to Magnetic Island or wishing to hike up the iconic Castle Hill.

  • Peggy is a thoughtful host. Her apartment is highly recommended by myself and my family. I have 3 young children and found the apartment to be a good size. It was very clean and welcoming with lots of nice touches. The location is a highlight being one block from the strand, so within walking distance and not too far from the famous Juliettes, the best place in town for coffee and cake. Peggy was also quick to respond to a question I had and I felt confident if any more questions had arose she would of been prompt with her reply. Oh and the beds are comfortable too!

  • The ice-cream in the fridge was a super surprise, specially when we arrived after a long sunny trip. So thank you, Peggy! The place is very clean, well equipped and a few steps away from playgrounds which makes it a perfect stay if you have children. We even had a baby bed and a high chair for our daughter 😍 Also really close to Billabong Sanctuary, that is a MUST if you are traveling from Europe. We will definitely recommend it.

  • Peggy’s place is Awesome! Walking distance to almost everywhere in any direction. It’s a temp. Cool unit, welcomed in Townsville. I travelled with a toddler and Peggy provided a portacot and even went out and specifically bought new bedding for it, as well as cups & plates. The location has Access to the rock pool, Aquarium, splash park, longboards, juliettes and C-bar all good for dining / attractions. Place is only 350m from whites grocer (best around town and have roast ready meals for quick access).

  • I enjoyed the stay. Place was lovely & clean with funky furnishings. Comfortable bed - best sleeps I’ve had for a while. Also appreciate the offer for the extra night at no charge if Jetstar let me down (They didn’t) Peggy was always quick to respond when I contacted her with a couple of queries.

  • I really enjoyed staying at Wendy’s unit. It’s in a great place on the Strand, close to Gregory St and across the road from beautiful strolls along the beachfront. The pool is a godsend with the hot weather. During my stay the nets were closed due to the stingers so it was great to swim in the sparkling pool. The staff at Aquarius are particularly helpful and pleasant. I highly recommend staying at Wendy’s unit.

  • Wendy's place is in a fantastic location on the Strand. Has a pool and is within walking distance to beach swimming spots. Also walking distance to many places to eat etc. Short drive to Flinders St. Easy parking. Loved the view and being able to sit out on the balcony of an afternoon. Highly recommend a trip to Magnetic Island!

All of our guests love the location and proximity to restaurants, cafes and bars, family-friendly activities, and the The Strand Beach. The apartment is recently fully renovated. We're happy to host families (with kids), couples, business travellers, and furry friends (pets). Each apartment has a private courtyard and fully fenced separate garden space perfect for pets and children.
    Each apartment at The Pineapple House has been recently fully renovated, the outside of the complex is lush with tropical gardens with plenty of areas to sit and relax.
    We're conveniently located near The Strand Beach, shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. A convenience store is located 100m from our front door and have healthy home cooked meals available for take away. They also have great coffee to kick start your day.
