  • We loved our stay at the Ojai Outpost. One of the cutest and well-stocked Airbnb's we've stayed at. We definitely plan to come back!

  • WOW! We felt so great in this remarkable & beautiful space. It was actually an inspiring part of our road trip. Sitting in the yard, drinking delicious coffee, & watching a ton of bird activity in the morning was perfect. Found great walkable food options too

  • A nice little cabin, this place is very peaceful. While there is no TV, the tranquility is appreciated. The kitchen is a nice bonus and overall, the cabin is very comfortable. If you have a medium to large car, you will have trouble parking in the car port. Our MINI was small enough to fit in the carport and will care, we were able to enter and exit with no issues.

    Brendan2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Ryan’s spot was very good.

    Roland2019-10-16T00:00:00Z

  • Great location,great house and best host. Thank you!

    Yuki2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Maya’s place is sweet! Literally the best location in Ojai as it is a 1 block walk to everything downtown. The space is super vibey and the outdoor kitchen is legit. I cooked every night for the 2 months I stayed. The hosts (Robert and Maya) couldn’t be cooler. I highly recommend this spot. Cheers!

    Tom2019-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Maya is an amazing host. Staying with her felt like staying at a good friend's house. You won't get a better host and location in Ojai!

    Angie2018-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Kind of like Swiss Family Robinson meets private cabana with full kitchen and patio area- all in walking distance to downtown, trails, a great wine shop, a weekly farmers market, etc. I stayed a month with my semi-bouncy teenage dog. Quiet neighborhood, friendly locals. Maya and Robert were patient and generous with their time and space. I will be going back...love it there, love Ojai.

    Anna2018-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Maya and Robert are wonderful. The apartment is right in the center so everything is walking distance. Ojai is such a wonderful place.

    Joan2018-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • The location is perfect for Ojai. The town plaza is within a few minutes from your doorstep. I really like the outdoor space. I would highly recommend this place for a short-term stay in Ojai. If you stay long-term, I would recommend it when the weather is nice since some of the living space is outdoor. The hosts are very communicative and helpful. Rob and Maya are always happy to answer any questions you have or give you tips for the surrounding area.

  • I had a great stay and really enjoyed my time at Mary’s place.

    Brad2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Mary's place is gorgeous! The bed is incredibly comfy, as a sleep apnea sufferer this was the first time I've slept decent in months. It is very clean- due to location, there's a bit of dust and whatnot, but nothing unbearable. The hot tub was perfect both at night, and to watch the sunrise. Spanky and Trigger the donkey pair are adorable and sassy, and we became pals. It's about an 18 minute drive to Ventura, and a 10 minute drive to Ojai. We didn't get to use the bikes since we were worried about rain, but they looked fun! A big thank you to Mary for being a wonderful, friendly host. We will definitely be back!

    Hannah2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Mary’s place is so relaxing. The hot tub was fantastic at night. Definitely has a hippie/farm feel with great comfy outdoor spaces to hang out. Beds were comfortable, my kids and I all slept well! Was easy to share the kitchen too.

    Sarah2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Mary has put together a lovely, thoughtful home away from home. I highly recommend staying here!

    Chris2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for the third time and Mary treated us like family! We’ll be back.

    Maricela2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This space is amazing. Mary is so kind, her home is full of amazing energy. So healing. I love to hear the birds and the frogs! The donkeys are so wonderful too!

    Sophia Gabriella2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Mary place is very comfortable and stylish. Much bigger than we anticipated. We have the room, bathroom, patio, TV room, and jacuzzi just for us. Mary is very helpful and kind. She offered us coffee and tea, and she provides privacy and a very quiet environment.

    Sara2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The space was beautiful with lots of privacy. Sitting out in the hot tub at night was magical, and the donkeys were very cute. The location right on the bike path is perfect for riding back and forth to Ojai. The $20 rental fee for the bike was quite reasonable, especially given how affordable the accommodations are.

    Studio apartment in separate building with stunning outdoor deck and pool views of the mountains and Ventura River Valley. Located on a permaculture native plant farm noted for its natural beauty by artists, photographers. AIR IS CLEAR!
    Guest House at Euterpe Farms Welcome! We hope you enjoy your stay in this beautiful part of the world. I'm so happy to be able to share this property with people of like mind...who care about natural beauty and the creative nature of people. We respect the local Ojai Valley rules regarding vacation rentals. There are no vacation rentals allowed in the City of Ojai. In the unincorporated area outside of town, where we are, only "home shares" are allowed. This means owner-occupied. We respect the concerns of some members of our government and community regarding unregulated vacation rentals, and ask our guests to be good representatives of the exciting new sharing economy. Smitty West Here’s some information and tips to help make your stay easier. Pool Area Enjoy one of the great experiences of Ojai….the pool at Euterpe Farms with White Ledge Peak of the Transverse Ranges at sunset! It’s full of mineral water drawn from the earth at the windmill. Very lightly treated, your skin will feel great afterwards. We’ll show you how to use the hot tub on request! There’s an icemaker and refrigerator on the terrace under the pergola on the way to the pool There are pool towels for you, and just let us know if you need more. Wildlife Euterpe Farms has a 1000’ fenced border and 180 degree view of the beautiful Ojai Land Conservancy’s Ventura River Preserve, and the two million acre Los Padres National Forest. This beautiful, diverse, and wild country is home to an amazing assortment of wildlife found nowhere else. This is THEIR home, and WE are the visitors here on the edge of this wilderness. Be respectful of this fact and you will be rewarded with close-up view of an amazing assortment of plants and wildlife. Some of the larger animals you may see: deer, coyote, fox, snakes, bobcat, mountain lion, bear. Bird watchers will LOVE the diversity. We encourage raptors, and you may see or hear several types of owls, hawks, and other birds of pretty. There is usually a resident barn owl in the brown owl house in the tree in the middle of the circle driveway. You can see her pellets on the ground below. With big animals come small animals, so if you like lizards, spiders, snakes and other crawlies, you’ll love it as much as the animals that eat them. If you don’t, well, you might have to live with them, because there’s 2 million acres of their home right next door! We try to maintain a no-kill philosophy on the property, and we have only seen one poisonous snake. Best advice: Enjoy the wildlife, but don’t handle it! Vegetable Garden and Orchard There’s a vegetable garden on the side yard along the driveway. It is protected from deer by an electric fence which can be unplugged where the extension cord meets the controller in the white bucket. All organic. Help yourself. The orchard is seasonal, we have some type of fruit much of the year, but only a tree or two of each. Naval orange, plums, apricots, cherries, avocado, peaches, figs, blood oranges, grapefruit, white pomegranate. Monarch Butterflies We are a monarch butterfly sanctuary. What this really means is that we nurture and cultivate the Ojai native milkweed species, Asclepias fascicularis…the monarchs do the rest! You will see butterflies most of the spring, summer, and fall, and then they overwinter in groves along the California coast. While they enjoy nectar from the variety of wildflowers on the farm, they only lay their eggs on milkweed…so it is vital to their dwindling populations. Consider purchasing a milkweed while you are here to take home. Norman Speaking of animal life, our resident black lab, Norman, welcomes you as well. He is well-behaved, and may bark at you when you arrive, or at the coyotes if they come on the property, but is as kind and sweet as any canine you may meet. He loves the pool, so if you want him to join you, you won’t have any problem. If not…a firm “no” will usually let him know who’s boss. Chickens Our hens think they rule the roost. They kinda do. You are welcome to eggs. They lay during the warm months, usually late in the morning. We let them out sometimes in the late afternoon when Norman can watch them. There’s no rooster so they shouldn’t spoil your sleep. They are named for famous heroines and musical chicks, “Rox-Hen”, “Re-Peck-ah”, “Yolk-O Ono”, “Lay-la”, “Buffy” …you get the idea. You may change their names at your desire. Climate and Comfort Ojai has a reputation in California for being blazing hot, but that isn’t really true, with a few exceptionally hot spells each year. Here at the Farm, during the summer months we are rewarded with a beautiful Pacific marine layer breeze every afternoon, and the average summer daytime temperature is 90 degrees. The winters are mild, but sometimes chilly at night. The wall furnace has a thermostat under the access panel at the bottom. You’ll be very comfortable with a setting between 1 and 3 (out of ten). There are two black marks to make these settings easier to see. If the pilot goes out, and you need help lighting it, let us know. Sometimes during offshore wind conditions, it does get BLAZING HOT for several days at a time. If you are lucky enough to be visiting during one of these spells (we may get two or three of them per year and it can be over 100 degrees), remember that it does cool off at night, so open the windows and night and shut them in the morning as the day warms up. There is an attic fan that can add to your cross breeze, and a portable air conditioner that will take the edge off. But the best solution is a dip in the beautiful swimming pool, and planning an evening poolside until the stars come out. That said, chances are that you will have fantastic weather, any time of the year, and use the windows to moderate your temperature, and enjoy the porch. Indoor Living Ojai is all about outdoors, but you’ll find a lot of indoor conveniences here: Refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, service for small groups, satellite TV with surround sound, wifi, a desk area, books….etc. If you’re here for more than a few days, and need anything (cooking utensils, iron and iron board, guitar) just text or ask Smitty. Plumbing Euterpe Farms is on a green septic system. If it didn’t come out of your body or off the roll of supplied septic-safe tissue, it doesn’t go in the toilet. Trust us…we will find out! Solar and Wind and Water The little faucet next to the sink delivers you unlimited delicious and “world famous” Euterpe Farms windmill mineral water. This water is purchased by thousands of fans at our roadside tienda (farm stand) as their exclusive drinking water. Delicious, untreated and pure mineral water. It is raised by the power of the wind from our 1926 Aeromotor windmill from an isolated aquifer under this portion of Meiners Oaks. The farm has a 8500 kilowatt solar generating system, making power from Ojai’s most precious asset, our sunshine. Bees We’re doing our part to help sustain healthy communities of honeybees here at Euterpe Farms. Their hives are very obvious off to the cliff side near the windmill. No one has been bitten that wasn’t messing around with their hives. No one HASN’T been bitten who WAS messing around with them. Your choice. You’ll see them on the wildflowers around the Farm. Tip your hat and say thank you (or “gracie”… they are an Italian variety), and they won’t bother you. Hikes We recommend the Ojai Valley Land Conservancy’s beautiful Ventura River Preserve. Walk or drive the one-half mile north on Rice Rd. to the trailhead. There is a private semi-improved trail that starts out near the windmill. It’s a steep climb down steps carved into the hillside, and then you follow deer and coyote trails to the public trails…10 minutes away. Another favorite is the Shelf Road Trail in Downtown Ojai, accessible by trailhead at the top of Signal Street. Rose Valley Falls is about 30 minutes up the 33 in the beautiful mountains above Ojai. There is a Forest Service Office in Ojai’s East End with lots of maps, books, and information about the Los Padres National Forest. General Safety Euterpe Farms is a working farm. That means there are farm tools, farm work, and multiple hazards that you won’t find in most “vacation spots.” This is the beauty and uniqueness of this special place, but please use common sense and understanding. As a guest here in the Guest House, you are welcome to the apartment and beautiful deck, and non-exclusive use of the pool. You may walk the grounds but please respect the privacy of the occupants of the main house. Besides being a native plant farm, any portion of the grounds and pool area may be in use for other purposes such as parties and music events, filming, music recording or rehearsal, photography, plein air painting, and private use by the owner, Smitty West. Please be respectful of the privacy and business of the other people enjoying the Farm. The property requires regular land care, pool service, gardening, and farming that may be occurring at any time, so if you see our happy grounds manager, Urbano….say hola! Smitty also enjoys doing work around the farm, and he may offer you a tour. Parking Please park on the dirt area at the bottom of the stairs. Do not block the garage doors or the paved circle so delivery and service vehicles can come and go. The beautiful 450-year old oak tree in the front of the main house will thank you as well! Smitty West The owner and caretaker of Euterpe Farms, is singer/songwriter Smitty West. If he’s around, he’s a very friendly fellow who might want to share a story or hike with you. (URL HIDDEN) If he is on the property, he loves meeting our guests and helping you enjoy your stay. You can hear him sing with his partner Julija Zonic at The Vine wine bar in downtown Ojai Saturdays from 5:00-7:00pm. Some of their CDs are on display in the room for purchase. Dining Some of our favorites for quick, local bites: Meiners Oaks ( ½ mile north on Rice turn left on El Roblar Ave.) Papa Lennon’s – delicious, fresh food, pizza, pasta… counter service Don LaLo’s – Mexican, fresh, yummy Ranch House – famous for gourmet fine dining Farmer and the Cook: Grocery and counter restaurant…organic and local Downtown Ojai Suzanne’s Cuisine…fine dining Feast Bistro…fusion dishes by acclaimed chef Susan…say hi from Smitty Ojai Pizza – Yep….Pizza and families! This water is brought to you from a pure underground aquifer that underlies this area west of Krotona Hill. The reservoir is mapped by geologists to be fault-separated from the municipal wells in the Ventura River bottom, and in a completely different aquifer. The well underlies the windmill you see in the field in front of you. Taste it, you’ll love it. So will your dog or horse, so let them have some too! This water has been lifted by the power of the wind! Before you is a 1920s-vintage, restored Chicago Aermotor A602 windmill. It was salvaged from a farm near Santa Paula, and put back into service to lift the water that nurtures the young native plants here at Euterpe Farms. This machine is a thing of mechanical beauty and simplicity. It slowly and deliberately lifts the water from the earth every afternoon in the ocean breezes that move up the Ventura River as the Ojai Valley heats up in the sunshine. The machine is self regulating, turning to catch light breezes, but folding her tail to take the sails out of the wind in heavy winds. Every stroke lifts about two cups of water six inches. It sounds slow, but if the wind blows all day, it will fill one of the tanks you see next to the tower. There’s a pond next to the well to catch the overflow on really windy days. Look closely for wildlife around the pond, including deer and bobcat. What about when there’s no wind? The farm has installed a solar photovoltaic grid on the south side of the farmhouse. Every sunny day, our electric meter runs backwards! The small pressure pumps that help the windmill during low wind, and pressurize the water in the irrigation system draw on this power. We also have a solar water heating system made from recycled equipment from the 70s and 80s. We try to keep a low carbon footprint here at Euterpe Farms! Want more than a sip? There’s a tap for your larger water bottles next to the drinking fountain. If you would like to fill water bottles, we would ask that you make a donation in the cash box to help keep Euterpe farms eco-friendly, organic and natural. What is “Euterpe ?” Actually, “WHO is Euterpe ("you-TER-pee")? In Greek mythology, she is one of the Muses, the daughters of Mnemosyne, fathered by Zeus. Called the "Giver of Pleasure", she was the muse of music. The Muses dancing with Apollo The Muses are goddesses or spiritual guides who embody the arts and inspire the creative process with their graces through song and stage, writing, music and dance. They were water nymphs, associated with the springs of Helicon and Pieris. Here she is in a list with her sisters •Calliope Chief of the muses and muse of epic poetry •Euterpe muse of lyric song •Clio muse of history •Erato muse of erotic poetry •Melpomene muse of tragedy •Polyhymnia muse of sacred song •Terpsichore muse of dance •Thalia muse of comedy and bucolic poetry •Urania muse of astronomy Euterpe Music Company is the name of our music recording and publication company.
    If you hate animals and nature, you will hate it here. If dark nights full of stars, or blinding full moons scare you, stay away! If the sound of coyotes, owls, crickets, frogs...scare you, stay in the city! A birdwatcher's dream. A native plant enthusiast's Eden. If you love music, consider booking during our concert series, when you will hear local Ojai Valley songwriters performing at the stage under the oaks...second Tuesday of the month between April and October.
  • We had a great stay here. The location is spectacular and very quiet. The host and his team are super nice, generous and very easy to communicate with. Everything was as good, or better, than we hoped. Would recommend 100% for anyone looking for a tranquil and beautiful place to relax.

  • We loved our time here. We stayed 5 nights in January and found it to be a delightful way to explore Ojai. The place is comfortable, the location is outstanding and we enjoyed, relaxed and rejuvenated. Great hiking, great local food, breweries and taprooms. Loved every minute.

    Charlynn2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing experience staying on the farm. The location is perfect for a nice little get away. The place is cozy and had everything we needed and there’s a deck to enjoy coffee and breakfast with a view. Smitty was super friendly, responsive, and helpful in showing us around. There’s a couple trails right in the backyard that lead to the river. We both fell in love with Norman, he’s such a great dog and he will tag along on the trails with you. Can’t wait to come back and visit!

    Amy2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • I loved staying here! Everything about it was wonderful- clean and quiet, beautiful and peaceful. The highlight is definitely Norman the black lab- he was my guide on hikes down to the river. If you love being surrounded by abundant nature, yet within a short drive to town, if you appreciate the beauty of wild places and are looking to retreat from hectic everyday life, come to Smitty's place. You will be happy you did!

    Gina2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • I agree with all of the many wonderful things written previously by other travelers who've stayed at Smitty's place, i.e. very gracious and friendly hosts (Maureen, Smitty), stylish and cozy space, great location, beautiful scenery, extreme cleanliness, very nice dog (Nelson), etc. Really enjoyed staying there! Two things you might want to be at least aware of, though, that I didn't see mentioned by anyone . . . the first is that the indoor wall separating the main room from the bathroom does not go 100% all the way up to the ceiling, i.e. there is a gap of space of at least a few inches. In other words, any sounds emanating from inside the bathroom will be heard extremely clearly throughout the main room. So, I would not call it very private in that way. And if you use the shower at 100% full-on power, I estimate that you will only have about 5 - 6 (maybe 7?) minutes of a hot water shower.

  • Sherri's place is a gorgeous gem hidden near the Ojai Valley. The finishes on her tiny cabin space were high end and beautiful. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need; the bathroom as well. There were small touches everywhere intended to make us feel more welcome and comfortable. We truly enjoyed our time there, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone headed north of LA!

  • 100% recommend Sherri’s place if you’re traveling to Ojai. As others have said, amazing amenities including snacks and things to make a full breakfast, some fun games, super comfy bed, and quiet location. Only 10 min or so from downtown Ojai. Would stay again!

    Cassandra2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Sherri’s oasis is lovely, inviting, warm, clean and full of perks. She is a fantastic host and we highly recommend her cottage.

    Alysia2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful stay! Everything at Sherri’s place was so nice. A few special touches that I thought were extraordinary: chilled wine and note upon arrival; so many snacks, spices, drinks, bread, bathroom items, coffee that were gratis; the unit was so very clean; and fantastic communication. The attention to detail at this property did not go unnoticed. Highly recommend! I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

  • This is a fantastic cottage! So comfortable. And the owner provided many nice amenities and touches. Highly recommend!

  • The Rockaway Cabin was a great place to stay. It was only 10 minutes away from downtown Ojai and close to hiking spots. Sherri was very accommodating and responsive. Can’t thank her enough for everything!

    Sarah2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Sherri’s place was everything we hoped for and more. We wanted a nice, quiet trip for Valentine’s and her cabin certainly fit the bill. On top of that, the cabin is very well appointed with many lovely touches and great decor. But what set it apart from other Air BnB places we’ve stayed at is just how much is available to the guests. The pantry was fully stocked beyond our expectations. And the bathroom had every possible necessity that one might think of. We were very impressed. Sherri was always readily available and very pleasant to talk to. We would definitely come back!

    Laurencio2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Sherri is an amazing Superhost and a really great person. She made the check in process more than convenient and is very thoughtful when it regards a guest. Sherri brought hospitality to the next level! The bedding is beyond comfortable, the property is on a beautiful road, the space has everything that a relaxed traveler could ask for. There are hikes around the area and plenty of neat things to see. Overall Sherri makes sure that you are more than relaxed and able to recharge from the hustle and bustle of city life. Such an awesome experience and I would highly recommend to all. Thank you Sherri!

  • I am a repeat customer. Eva is thoughtful and prompt in responding. The place is set up in such a way that you feel you have your own private wing. I will be booking with Eva in the future. Excellent value.

  • Eva is so generous with her hospitality. It was amazing to have access to a full kitchen. I had my groceries delivered and they arrived before I did and she graciously put them away. She set me up with a great local e-bike rental also. It was a great 10days!

  • Great location. Kind hosts. Very affordable.

    Richard2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • Price, Proximity, and Personal touches! Eva's listing was, as far I could figure, once of the most reasonable Air B&Bs available in that area. It was close to the Ventura downtown and beach attractions, the Ventura Amtrak station, the Krotona Theosophical Institute, and downtown Ojai. The two rooms available in her home are tidy and clean. Comfortable beds. The larger bedroom has a sitting TV area with a big dorm fridge. And the two rooms share a private bathroom! She allows kitchen privileges and coffee and tea. There is a pleasant backyard area but it was a bit too cool to enjoy it much.

    Don2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Eva's family is very warm. They are very hospitable and experience the real life of American families. Although sharing the kitchen with the landlord, Eva gives us the greatest freedom. Thanks for the New Year's Eve in her house from 2019 to 2020!

    海云2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Eva’s place is clean and she allowed me to cook as I needed, the room is very large and easily fits two people. The location is beautiful and good for hikes and a quiet vacation.

    Sagit2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Eva's room was exactly what we needed. We were traveling south from SF to La and needed a place to break the long drive. What was suppose to be a 5 hour drive ended up being 12 hours and we got to Eva's place late at night, exhausted. Eva waited up for us and made up an extra bed for our daughter to sleep on. The beds and rooms were comfortable. We left early the next morning.

    Jill2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I am a repeat visitor, and it's always perfect, as I expect; It's clean, it's exactly as described, it's very inexpensive, it's just 5 minutes or so out of Ojai proper, and I love the patio. I bring my dog, and she loves the patio too! The burbling fountain is always a nice touch, and the BBQ is great. Caution (as mentioned), the unit doesn't have a stove/oven anymore, so cooking is strictly microwave and the BBQ, but as long as you know that, it's just exactly what is described. Great place, highly recommend, especially for the price.

    You will enjoy a lovely room with its own private entrance, bathroom and sauna. It adjoins a deck with a hot tub and patio furniture featuring spectacular views of the Topa Topa Mountains and a great place to observe Ojai's unique "Pink Moment." *
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cradled by the rolling hills of the Ojai Valley, Casa del Cielo is a tranquil oasis full of hidden surprises. The extensive grounds offer several delightfully novel touches. The path to your room passes underneath a natural wisteria archway as it leads you to an adjoining redwood deck, a great spot to take in a panoramic view of the native plant garden and the majestic hills beyond. From the deck, a few steps takes you through a rose garden, then down to a large native garden with it's own patio. Continue on through an arbor in the center of the garden down a short path, and you enter a Zen-like outdoor retreat, hugged by the hills and sheltered by tall bamboo and lush greenery. The trickling you hear is a stream, flowing from a waterfall in the Japanese Garden to your right. Cross one of the two Asian-style footbridges and follow the stream to a large lily pond. In the corner opposite the pond, a redwood gazebo is poised on the edge of a deep canyon. It provides another ideal spot for enjoying a spectacular view of the Topa Topa Mountains and the legendary “Pink Moment.” * ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *Nestled within a rare east-west mountain range, the Ojai Valley is one of the few places in the world to experience a "Pink Moment" as the sun is setting. The fading sunlight creates brilliant shades of pink and lavender for several minutes on the Topa Topa bluffs, more than 6,000 feet above sea level at the east end of the valley. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition to the fabulous views, our neighborhood includes an extensive network of hiking and horseback riding trails. We're only five miles from the Village of Ojai, where you will find a wide array of stores, restaurants, art galleries, wine tasting opportunities and recreational facilities. Located a short distance away along scenic Creek Road, the legendary five-star Ojai Valley Inn and Spa features a large variety of world-class restaurants and other amenities.
  • Liz and Steve were great hosts that are very polite and responsive. The room is in the back corner of a large home with a private entrance to the room and the back deck so it was very quiet and secluded. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom is sparkling clean, the Jacuzzi was hot, and the views are pretty great. And don't underestimate the luxury of the private sauna in the bathroom.
    Daniel2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This space was the perfect getaway space for the weekend! My boyfriend and I we had been whisked away to the wilderness :)
    Ana2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Liz and Steve are excellent hosts, kind, communicative and thoughtful. The backyard is a peaceful oasis to just breathe deep and get back in touch with nature. A perfect place to read, meditate and get quiet and connected.
  • This space is cozy, private and every thing is completely thought out and well taken care of. The hot tub and sauna are delightful. The views are gorgeous and the space is clean. I plan to bring my husband next time I go up there.
    Cassandra2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great welcome and a beautiful, relaxing stay. Steve and Liz were welcoming and pleasant hosts. Despite being a room in a home, the home is so big that you have total privacy, a welcome to use the house area if you wish, and a deck with a wonderful relaxing view and hot tub for under the stars. The deck and grounds are the reason for being here at this hilltop estate. Comfortable bed and natural setting make it a restorative visit.
    James2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Liz and Steve are wonderful and we loved our stay in their home. First I'll state that we travel often and love our privacy. However, this was one stay that I'm very glad we got to meet our hosts because of how kind and generous they were. They were very flexible with our evolving check-in time and gave us a brief but robust tour upon arrival. The rest of the trip we didn't encounter anyone at all - it was very private and super comfortable. The photos don't do justice to the amazing view, and we used the private sauna as much as we possibly could during our short stay! We also loved the location, perfectly convenient to all things Ojai, and just a quick drive to the Sespe River Trail we hiked during our stay. So thankful we found this amazing spot and highly recommend it!
    Christi2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Liz and Steve's private room was lovely! We greatly appreciated the prompt communication and warm hospitality. The hot tub and view of the mountains and stars were wonderful! We also loved exploring the gardens. Close to many delicious restaurants too!
  • My boyfriend and I stayed 2 nights with Liz and Steve. We were greeted at the door, and Steve gave us a tour of the house. Let me just say the pictures do not due this place justice! the property and mountain views are AMAZING! Even though were were in someones home privacy was of no issue.We only saw Liz and Steve when we arrived and when we were leaving. Liz and Steve truly are Super Hosts!
  • Very relaxing, cozy space. It’s small, but nicely decorated so it didn’t feel cramped. Great for a couple that doesn’t need much space. Check-in info was provided to us beforehand so we could arrive when we pleased. I also saw some people complain about pests. We did not see any bugs in or outside the condo, but did see what I believe was ant poison. It seems they got the issue under control, at least while we were there.
    Emiko2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Could not speak more highly of the space! Complete autonomy and privacy, check in was easy and convenient. Less than a 10-minute drive to the heart of Ojai. Clean, quiet, stylishly decorated, and everything you could need! Would absolutely stay again. Thank you TurnKey!
  • The amenities listed in this property is 100% true. The fridge is a mini fridge but very easy to Tetris-fy it to make everything fit. It’s a great place to relax!
    Karen2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Really well-appointed space with everything we needed to cook (we managed a simple Thanksgiving meal in this kitchen!) - pots, pans, kettle, oil, salt, and a couple spices. Bring a cookie sheet if you need that, although there is an oven-safe pan. The bedroom is really beautiful, and the high-ceilinged space lets a lot of natural light in. There is a window high in the side wall that does not have a shade, so it's bright in the mornings! We conveniently had eye masks with us, which were useful. But the natural light was great during the day. We also spent a lot of time on the Roku (or "Roky", as the remote says :P) TV, which is at a great angle to be viewed from the bed, if you push the curtains back a bit. Overall the space was quite a bit smaller than I expected from the pictures, which were clearly professionally done, but it didn't bother me too much. It took us a while to figure out how to get hot water in the bathroom. The shower's knobs aren't marked, and it takes a while for the water to heat, so here's what we found: the left knob in the bathroom is hot, which you have to leave running for a while, and then decrease it while adding in some cold water from the right (and that gives a good temperature). For the sink, warm is somewhere around 7 o'clock, and anywhere to the left or right of that is cold... Checkin was easy and there is a keypad to let yourself in. The instructions to find it were thorough. Overall would recommend.
    Anqi2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • A cozy little pad with an impressive outdoor space (and hammock!) right off of Hwy 33 between Ventura & Ojai. The unit itself is behind a gas station, adjacent to a parking lot—not the friendliest exterior. Once inside, however, the studio is heavenly. In the pro column, if you’re relying on public transportation as I was, you can’t get much closer to the #16 bus. The only problem I encountered was a serious stream of ants pouring through a corner of the kitchen window into the sink on my last day. They seemed to be attracted to the ant traps/poison I found positioned in the kitchen and bathroom when I checked in. Rain came overnight and vanished the infestation by morning, my checkout day, so I did not report this concern, although I’m sure TurnKey would have been responsive! Great place, especially if the site managers can get insects under control. I look forward to a future stay.
  • Very nice place to stay with the Ojai valley trail available close by for hiking and biking. You are close to many things, but you feel like you have quiet and peace as well. Good kitchen to cook in and a comfy bed plus a lovely little town close by- what more could you ask for? Host is very quick to address issues-had a problem with the heat and let her know at 8:30 in the morning and a repair person was there at 9:05! Highly recommended.
  • We stayed in two units in the trailer park which we really enjoyed. The first unit (#13) was simple, accommodating, and had such a comfy bed! The second unit (#2) was brand new / updated with everything you would need for your stay. It truly felt like home. This location was perfect for us because work brought us here. Very quiet community with a little corner market. Nice place.
  • Mariella made a mobile home available to me despite my lack of a track record on airBnB. Everybody has to start somewhere, right? The mobile home park was such a great place to come to while working away from home for such a long time. (I worked mid November to December 24 as a Santa in Oxnard.) I discovered the area and the restaurants and really enjoyed myself. There's a Thai restaurant about a mile away on Ventura, Om Thai. It became my 2nd home away from home. And the scenery. The vistas, the views, so beautiful. There's a campground less than a mile away. This place made a great respite and home base for working from out of town.
  • Such amazing hosts, very sweet and informative. Their house is the most beautiful house I’ve ever stayed at through Airbnb. The pictures do not do justice to what an amazing house and location it’s at. I will definitely be recommending this location and I’d come back here in a heartbeat. Super clean, great hosts.
  • Lovely house on a beautiful property tucked away in the hills. We enjoyed just walking around in the morning with our coffee, visiting the horses and the chickens, and chatting with Laura. Highly recommend!
  • Rick and Laura are wonderful hosts; welcoming and informative without being over-bearing. It is obvious that they have spent a lot of time making every room, nook and wall a pleasure to behold. And that, is just the interior of their gorgeous home. All over the property are charming tables and chairs so that one can have coffee or a bite to eat while overlooking different breathtaking vistas. My favorite I have dubbed Little Tuscany. I look forward to many more visits.
  • Laura and Rick were great! Thank you for sharing your lovely space with us! When we were there over Valentine's Day weekend, they were fully booked, but the space was so spread out, we never would have noticed. If you are looking for a place right outside of Ventura or Ojai, and need a room (don't need a whole house to yourself), I cannot recommend Laura and Rick's enough.
    Alexander2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning villa in a central location, this was a perfect getaway. Quiet, tranquil and the best stars I’ve seen in a long time. Hosts were warm and welcoming, encouraging us to relax and enjoy their beautiful home. Bed was comfy, I slept like a rock. We also tried their restaurant in Carpenteria, the ‘Worker Bee’. Fantastic. Can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend!
  • My wife and I really enjoyed staying at Laura and Rick’s. Such a beautiful home and grounds with amazing views, horses, animals and ambiance! Also a great location close to Ojai, Ventura and Santa Barbara. We will definitely be back to stay here again!
  • Excellent service and amazing home. Enjoying it very much!
    Bogdan2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • We wouldn’t hesitate to rent this house again. Shelley was very easy to work with and very responsive. We really liked the large great room, the best feature of house. Two improvements would make this house more renter friendly: window treatments to block light in am (this is a problem not just in bedrooms but morning light in great room is uncomfortably blinding when sitting on couch) and solid doors to allow later sleeping family members uninterrupted sleep free from early risers. Simply, when we’re on vacation, we prefer to chose when to wake up and not have the house dictate wake up time for us. Finally, although there’s a huge tv in the great room, I was surprised there was no cable tv and nothing disclosed in the listing about it. My son came home from his golf tourney and wanted to plop on the couch in front of college football but couldn’t. Not sure if it’s a reception problem or not. But, as I said, we wouldn’t hesitate to rent this house again knowing a few of the issues.
  • Shelly's place is a perfect haven for a visit to Ojai, Ventura and Santa Barbara, which is about 45 minutes away. We stayed at Shelly's with our parents, my cousin and our toddler and we loved our experience there. The home was spacious for all of us, comfortable, beautiful and clean and there's an amazing Thai restaurant within walking distance of the house. Definitely would stay at Shelly's again in the future when visiting Ojai and surrounding area.
    The home is in a cul-de-sac of 5 Mediterranean houses. As you turn into the road, you will see a sign that says, Private Road. You want the first house on the left. Park in front of the single garage door, part of a three door garage. Walk through the black iron gate and the guest house will be on your left.
    There is a queen size bed with a memory foam mattress and 4 "My pillows", a small dining area, kitchen and full bath. I mention the pillows because some guests bring the same pillows with them. When they read this, they can leave their's at home. The kitchen has gone through a little make-over, A 3 piece section - Sink, cook top, small fridge, and some very convenient new drawers. Also, there is toaster oven, microwave, cuisinart coffee maker ( like Keurig with coffee pods). You can also use that for making tea. Put the tea bag where the coffee pods would go. If you like your tea super hot, microwave for a few extra seconds. You also have the use of a full size refrigerator freezer in the garage, it just needs plugging in. Downtown Ojai, 8 - 10 mins, downtown Ventura, beach 20 mins. Taking Baldwin Road, is the back route to Santa Barbara, past Lake Casita. Pick up the 101 freeway to Santa Barbara 40 mins.. So we are very well placed no matter where you want to go. There is a wall and black iron gate entrance and the guest house is on the left just inside the gate. Minimum stay: 30 nights. With one exception: 26 days in March 2020 available This exception was brought about because of upgrading the kitchen.
    There is a main street behind the guest house, (La Luna), this takes you into MIner's Oaks. Ace Hardware, a butcher, some authentic Mexican food and more. Much more casual than downtown Ojai. There are several churches nearby and one Synagogue. Ojai Hospital is just 2 miles from my house. Back up 33 toward Ventura, the Circle K on your L will usually have the best priced gas.
  • Jaklin is an incredible host and the guest house was perfect. One of the most accommodating and attentive hosts. Thank you Jaklin.
    Cindy2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here a little over 5 weeks and the service was outstanding. Jaklin was attentive to any needs and cared that my stay was everything it could be. The casita was well furnished. The bed was very comfortable and there were more pillows than I could possible use. The location was great. Very quiet with minimum traffic noise. Wished I could have stayed the rest of my time in Ojai but the casita was occupied the next two months.
    David2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Nice comfortable guest room with a wonderful host. Great location with easy access to Ojai, Ventura, and Santa Barbara. Liked having coffee maker/pods, small refrigerator, and microwave in room.
    Sky2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Cute well furnished, comfortable and private room located just outside host’s main house (both gated). Close to downtown ojai. Had to request iron and ironing board but jacklin was quick to respond and I had all the amenities I needed including a well stocked kitchenette. On the third evening, I discovered ants on some of the furniture, mostly congregating around sweet snacks that I had left out during the day. Jacklin was again quick to respond and we had the situation under control with ant spray. In the meantime, she was flexible and gracious in allowing me to spend the night in the guest room inside her main home while we addressed the issue. Would not hesitate to return because of jacklin’s wonderful hospitality.
    The room is very sweet cozy and clean, with a nice size TV (Dish) & Netflix for guests. I have 4 different sitting areas in the back yard where you can have friends and family over for a visit. Close to nice walking trails and food. This is a nice quiet neighborhood. I have drinks, Coffee, tea, small snacks, yogurt, Etc..(In you’re private refrigerator). Washer & Dryer available. And if you forgot your toothbrush, I have extra.
    When you turn onto my street, you will try to avoid a very large Oak Tree in the middle of the road, further down, I live next door to the larges Pine tree you’ve ever seen. At the end of the Cul-de-sac, you enter the Land conservancy where there are nice walking trails and a small pond with Ducks, and other wild birds with cotton tail bunnies running across the trails. Back at my Casa, You just come to relax. There are a few restaurants & a small dive bar close by in this suburb of Ojai (Meiners Oaks) it takes about 7 minutes to get to downtown Ojai. It’s about 2o minutes to the beach in Ventura. About 45 minutes to Santa Barbara & 2 hours to L.A.
    I’m close to the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa (5 min) Topa Mountain Winery Minutes to Vons, food & fast food
I was quite busy during my stay and Kati and her family were so friendly and respectful to me the whole week.     Tai2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Kati has really put upscale touches on this house. The kitchen is marvelous and the bathroom is just lovely. The bedroom is inviting and the perfect size. Having the router for the WiFi made getting online simple (name & password is right on the router itself). I ran into two other folks--her son and her boyfriend, I think--but never did manage to meet Kati in person. (I was out with my friend most of the time.) The bed is firm but soft enough for me to sleep very, very well. She put out Ojai and other area magazines in case I needed to look up things to do or places to go--a nice touch! It was easy to get in & out with the locking keypad (pull the door shut as you lock it). The location is fantastic for visiting Ojai--maybe 10 minutes' drive. I can't think of anything that would have made the visit better. Thanks, Kati!
  • The worst thing about Patricia's place is leaving!! The most peaceful, ideallic place for a restful break. Love the style of her place, the breakfasts were wonderful and she was so helpful. Although a little out of Ojai the local Mexican restaurant was fantastic and we could buy all that we needed without driving.
  • An oasis of tranquility with an easy access to all sites. We felt so comfortable that we were sad to leave!
    Heidi & Sean2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed my stay at Patricia's place very much. Patricia greeted and got me quickly settled. My favorite features were the lovely breakfasts, sitting outside the door to the back yard and enjoying the early evening, the quiet of the studio, a comfortable bed, and a near-by easy hike through oak trees. I didn't use the swimming pool but it looked inviting. I also loved that it wasn't far from Ojai.
  • There’s no doubt in my mind this is the most spectacular place I’ve ever rented through Airbnb. Every corner of this home has been touched with love and care. It’s stunning. We didn’t want to leave. The care and personal touches were totally aligned and perfect. From the gorgeous views to the high end kitchen appliances, the work out equipment, fire pits, spa, sauna, crystals, electric candles, massage chair, glorious beds, steam shower and so much more. We were completely blown away. Myron is an amazing host. He was responsive, helpful and accommodating. If you’re coming to the Ojai area don’t think twice. Stay here. I’ll definitely return.
    Kelli2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • I had a beautiful time here! I celebrated my 30th birthday here with just a couple of my closest girl friends and it was exactly everything I hoped for. It was a beautiful, peaceful oasis from city life. I chose the space because of the peaceful vibe, spiritual influence, well designed space, unique touches, quiet community, beautiful views, privacy and last but not least the amazing outdoor space. It delivered in every area. I wanted a girls retreat like weekend where we could truly relax, connect and recharge and this was the perfect space for it. Myron was a great host, communicated quickly and solved any issues that arose. The directions to get there was thoroughly explained and we didn’t have a problem finding it. The town is so cute and the people were very nice! Things to know, there are alarms on most of the front pool facing doors that go off when they are opened. You have to press a button every time you open the door to silence it. This was annoying initially but we quickly got use to it and used the side kitchen door instead. Although it was a annoying its a good feature for those with children to keep them safe from entering the pooI area. Also make sure you learn to work everything in the daylight. Some of the outdoor features are hard to find if done at night while it’s dark. Overall, I enjoyed my stay tremendously and now hope to make it a yearly tradition. My only regret is that I didn’t stay longer!
    Brittney2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Myron's place is amazing! It's huge, beautiful, in the most amazing setting, and totally quirky in its decor. Our group had an awesome time, Myron was super responsive and helpful throughout the weekend, and we would absolutely go back. Five stars!
    Elizabeth2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • The instructions for using the outdoor amenities are on written signs which were pretty useful, but figuring out the lights were a different case. Be careful walking around in the dark. The pictures are accurate and the citrus trees provide healthy snacks. There are plenty of plates and glasses and the dishwasher was easy enough to use. There’s a vitamix blender which is great for morning smoothies and pureeing soups. You can really cook a gourmet meal here. The fridge is big enough to hold whatever groceries you need for a long weekend. The house has a very relaxing vibe and there is no one to bother you here. It feels like a fortress with only a couple of breezeways that you can see the neighbors through. If you are looking for a private getaway for your large family, this is it. Close enough to all the things that make this area sacred. The only mattress that got a negative review was in the red room. The rest of my family slept beautifully on the additional beds. Myron is only a text away and takes calls as well.
    Julia2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • My 3 generation family had the best stay at Myron's house! We honestly barely left the premises because the weather was great and we just relaxed by the pool all day- the kids had a blast! The outdoor areas are fantastic, with sunset views in back, and we enjoyed all the indoor spaces too- great kitchen and really comfortable bedrooms. We would come again!
    Elizabeth2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very unique space, and the owners have taken pride in creating a relaxing escape. The outdoor space is amazing for entertaining. Even in cool weather there are heat lamps, fire pits and an open fire grill. The crystals, candles, memory foam mattresses, massage chair, steam shower and gorgeous view create a relaxing environment that is perfect for an escape. The only surprises were an an additional $350 charge for heating the pool, And there was a separate tenant staying in another separate area of the house below. The additional charge was made up for by the excellent service of Myron who was on call to answer any questions. And despite being part of the same house, the other tenant felt completely separate did not bother us in the slightest.
    Bobby2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous as always. I have stayed here several times and hope to come back again. Best air bnb I’ve ever stayed at.
    Cynthia2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • I've stayed and visited here several times now and I love this home. I love the amenities, the cleanliness, the spaciousness, and the design and decor. It's perfectly situated 10-ish minutes from town. We received multiple visits from a family of deer this time. I've experienced its serenity and stillness, and it has an amazing vibe for a gathering of friends. Myron is a fantastic host who provides speedy, friendly responses whether you can't find something or maintenance is needed. I recommend!
  • We enjoyed our stay and appreciated all the thoughtful touches, like bathrobes for the hot tub.
    Michael2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful and peaceful place to stay! We loved sitting out by the pool on the comfortable lounge chairs, and enjoyed time in the hot tub one afternoon as well. They are a little bit out of town so there is a nice quiet road to walk on, and when I took the dog out to go potty before bed I loved looking up at the starts that you don't see when you are in town. They have lots of charming touches - very comfortable! Highly recommend!
Her amenities and bonus items were lovely. And the porch/private entrance was so relaxing. We can’t wait to go back.
  • A lovely place in a lovely setting with the loveliest of hosts! Truly an expected amazing encounter with a beautiful space and soul. What a gift! A memorable evening for both my husband and me. If you are in need of a place to stay while in Ojai, you must not think twice about staying at Missy’s. Loved the private deck outside the room.
    Carolina2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • A spur of the moment trip from Los Angeles touring artists open studios brought us to Ojai for the weekend. We landed at Missy's place, a delightful retreat from our hectic city life. Missy warmly opens her beautifully designed home, which is comfortable, clean and homey. One of the highlights was hearing her play the piano, sharing her creative musical talents and encouraging an interactive piano duets with her. Don't miss trying out the incredible percussion instruments too. We enjoyed the private cabana patio...which feels like you are staying in a resort. Come here to relax, rejuvenate, unwind and perhaps express your creativity in this peaceful and serene getaway. Thanks Missy for the laughter and providing a very special experience in Oak View!
  • I highly recommend Missy's place. She is very hospitable and has designed her home to accommodate anyone who is seeking a peaceful place to rest-she's also a sharp piano player!
  • A very spacious and restful place. The bed was incredibly comfortable.
    Eleanor2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • This place is quiet, serene, and peaceful. Getting to it was a breeze, and it was so perfectly located just on the perimeter of Ojai, so everything was within a 3-5min drive. The bed was beyond comfortable, soft linens and plenty of extra blankets and pillows. Kitchen and bathroom were well stocked with all the proper comforts. The back yard was a little overgrown, but I think i complimented the space perfectly. It was just a touch rustic, and the yard kept that relaxed, “enjoy nature as she is” beauty. Communication was prompt, the space was gorgeous, and I felt safe in this cozy (not cramped) home. I’d happily stay at Jeremy’s place again.
    Julie2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful space. My girlfriend and I came up to Ojai for a few days to hike and get away from the city, and this place truly exceeded expectations. Expertly decorated, lots of space, bed was comfortable and sheets were very high quality. The kitchen is perfect for anyone who likes to cook. We enjoyed our home cooked meals in the private dining area outside off the kitchen. Jeremy was quick to respond to all inquiries. All around one of the best experiences we have had with Air BnB. Thanks again Jeremy!
  • We really enjoyed the comfort and charm of the cottage. It felt very cozy and warm. The beds were comfy, the AC in the living room was much needed and appreciated during those three hot days, and the outdoor space was fabulous and beautiful! Everything at the cottage is simple but full of character and charm. We were able to cook, barbecue, watch movies, play games with the kids, jacuzzi, enjoy a fire, and listen to music under the stars. The backyard is so pretty at night with all the lights! We also enjoyed that the cottage was so close to the bike path and just within a few minutes' ride to downtown Ojai. Carlisle was quick to respond to our messages and attempted to make us feel at home. We had a beautiful and relaxing weekend at the cottage!
    We love our quiet home surrounded by oaks, palms and views of the mountains. Our location is unique because the "pink moment" unfolds unobstructed before our eyes every evening in the winter just as the sun sets. Our place is quiet and peaceful because it is not near a main road and it is 4 miles from downtown Ojai. There is a large shared (with us) frig located in the garage for the use of guests. There are 3 stairs leading to the garage from the hallway outside the guest's room.
    We live in a lovely large Mediterranean style home in a quiet private location 4 miles (10-15 minutes) from downtown Ojai and 15-20 minutes from the Ventura beach. The room is large with a private entrance, outdoor patio, large open area planted in drought resistant and native plants and with a clear view of the Topa Topa mountains and the Pink Moment. Adjacent to the room is a private full bath with a tub and a shower and access to a large fridge which is a few steps outside the bathroom door in the garage. We supply a hot water kettle, tea & coffee, half and half/milk etc. (if requested) and a small microwave along with an orchard of oranges (in season), plates, silverware, cups and pure water. We also supply a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and soap so no need to pack all that. We are quiet, peaceful people, open minded and joyful. There is parking and you will need a car as the bus does not come nearby. We have a cat who you probably won't see but if you are allergic to cats this may not be the best place for you. No pets, please. Our kitty is a rescue kitty and a bit skittish with strangers and other animals.
    This neighborhood is made up of friendly, quiet folks. There are no streetlights so you can really see the stars at night. The houses are nice and kept up. It is very safe and we never worry about walking around at night. We often hear owls hooting and coyotes yipping in the distance.
  • Barbara & Bill are delightful & caring hosts. Their home & gardens are magnificent & relaxing. The spacious room has everything you could want. Downtown Ojai is less than a 5 minute drive away. Hiking trails in every direction. Highly recommend a stay with Barbara & Bill.
    Nancy2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara waited up for us upon our arrival and her and her husband were quite thorough in showing my son and I around. The location was great and their yard and view were quite nice. They provided fresh water daily and some instant coffee, cups and silverware they cleaned daily as well. I would recommend Barbara's place for a convenient place near Ojai and great hiking/nearby amenities.
    This artfully decorated suite at Red House has a separate entrance, kitchenette, bathroom with shower, comfy Queen bed, sitting room with patio access. Enjoy mountain views and gardens on our one acre hillside property, a little slice of paradise.
    This apartment, attached to our home, has a separate entrance. Your personal parking space is steps away down the driveway in the rose garden. Inside you'll find the kitchenette complete with microwave, refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, and instant hot water pot. You can prepare simple meals but there is no stove. In addition we supply snacks, fruit, English muffins, butter, jam, coffees and teas. There is a drip coffee maker if you prefer to bring your favorite ground coffee. Beyond is the bathroom and shower, and in the bedroom area a comfy Queen bed with 4 pillows. There is a spacious sitting area with a TV and many interesting books to peruse, a sofa, and table and chairs for working or dining. We have decorated the suite with our own collection of colorful handcrafted furniture and wall art, much of it from the fine craft gallery we own in the Arcade, Ojai's main shopping district. We request that you leave your perfume or after shave at home. We've found it lingers long after a guest goes home. Some people have allergies or sensitivities to scent, and we prefer to have a neutral environment. We hope that won't put a crimp in your style! Thanks for your consideration.
    We are outside Ojai City limits in the town of Oak View, situated on a hill in a quiet neighborhood with very little traffic. We're only two minutes from Highway 33. Our neighborhood is great for taking a brisk walk in the morning or late afternoon. We're a bit off the beaten path, yet only a 10-12 minute drive to downtown Ojai. It's about 15 minutes to downtown Ventura and beaches, and under an hour to Santa Barbara. There are a few good restaurants within two or three miles, in Oak View, but many to choose from in downtown Ojai that offer everything from Bistro fare, Health food, Tapas, Italian, Mexican, Thai and Japanese cuisine. There are several to recommend for good breakfasts. We'll give you a list of our favorites, plus all kinds of things to do in Ojai. The Ojai Bike Path, a well maintained trail for walkers, joggers, horses, or bicyclists is a few minutes down the hill from our home. You can ride from downtown Ojai all the way to the beach at Ventura. Around town you'll find a quaint shopping district full of independently owned shops, galleries, and boutiques, eateries and cafes, and a most excellent Farmers Market Sunday mornings 9am- 1pm. Yoga studios and day spas offer choices for exercise and pampering. Nature lovers can visit Lake Casitas about 10 minutes away, numerous nearby hiking trails in the Ventura River bottom maintained by the Ojai Land Conservancy, and back country hiking in the Los Padres National Forest. Beautiful uncrowded beaches dot the coastline from Ventura to Santa Barbara. There are two excellent golf courses, public tennis courts, and bicycle rentals available. As for nightlife, several restaurants and wine bars offer live music, Libbey Bowl and the Ojai Art Center may have a play or concert scheduled.
