Stunning 3 bedroom lake house positioned on a quiet lake, a little over 2 hours from NYC, just outside the city of Hudson. Comfortably sleeps 6 people. Lot's of hiking, canoeing and sight seeing opportunities. Spectacular views all year round. Perfect for relaxing weekend get aways.
The house, originally built in 1939, is situated on 1/2 acre right on the lake side of a stunning lake, next to a historical mill and dam in Philmont. The village of Philmont is only 15 minutes drive from Hudson, other historic towns, and Catamount Ski & Adventure park. The property, while just off a very quiet little road, has a couple of neighbors close by, but is positioned behind a line of trees, facing the lake, so it feels completely secluded, while still having access to the village down the street. The house has uninterrupted view across the lake. The interior is designed to feel relaxing, with neutral colors, and a mix of modern and antique mid century furniture. The first floor (converted basement) is the main living area (open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area), which leads out onto a lakeside deck, with BBQ and outdoor furniture. The second floor consists of a more intimate living area/TV room, a picture frame window overlooks the lake. Also, on this level is two comfortable bedrooms (one queen, one full) and the main bathroom, recently renovated with large walk-in shower. Walk up to the third level, and you'll find the third bedroom, again, overlooking the lake. There's plenty of privacy, a walk-in closet, and private bathroom (note, this bathroom has a tub only, no shower). The house has a Sonos music system throughout. Outside, guests can take the canoe or kayak out on the lake. There is plenty of privacy and grassy areas to relax. There's also a fire pit, and fishing rock. There's plenty of parking on the property... 2-3 cars immediately outside the house and in front of the garage, and room for more just off Summit Street near the dam.
Philmont is a cute village, just 15 minutes outside Hudson, and 10 minutes from the Taconic State Parkway. There's a couple of great restaurants, a farmers market and food truck (in summer). The property is minutes away from High Falls (a spectacular waterfall and easy wooded trail). There's also a picnic and fishing area, just 2 minutes walk along the lake edge. Lake Taghkanic state park, is about 20 minutes drive away. A huge public lake and park with beaches, perfect for hiking and picnicking
  • Mark's place was terrific well appointed, great location - walking distance to main street bars and eateries- loved the in house sound system too!

  • Pure bliss. A slice of heaven. We travel often and this is our favorite Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in (it beat out the villa in Umbria with a pool on a vineyard for our honeymoon!). The photos, while amazing, don’t do this incredible home justice. We stayed for 17 days and didn’t want to leave. Basically every window faces the stunning lake which truly feels like it’s private for this house. We took the kayaks and canoes out and I caught many fish with my $20 Walmart fishing pole I picked up. There were bald eagles flying overhead and great blue herons by the shore. We cooked dinner on the grill and had fires in the chiminea most nights. There is a lovely hotel/restaurant called the Vanderbilt a short walk away with a cozy vibe, great food, and amazing cocktails. There is also another farm to table restaurant called Local 111 walkable as well as a wonderful organic co-op that has fresh local produce, smoothies, and a food truck. Philmont is “the next hot spot” in our book and it’s just 15 minutes from Hudson. This home is truly amazing as Mark was a generous and gracious host throughout. The home was immaculate and furnished with utmost style and care. Mark was quick to reply and made us feel right at home. We will be back for sure!

  • Mark's house is a fantastic place to get away from the city for a few days! The house accommodated the 6 of us very comfortably. We had a great weekend grilling, canoeing around the lake, and exploring Philmont/Hudson. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to have a relaxing stay.

Enjoy morning coffee on the porch overlooking the horse pastures. Great hiking out the door, perfect for bicyclists and runners, yet only 15 minutes from Hudson and Chatham. Ample floor space for air bed for children. Luxury linens and new bath with oversized shower. Keurig, mini-frig, and a/c.
Private suite off of a large main house. Flooded with morning light, fabulous sunsets.
There is wonderful hiking right out the door and we are on a popular road for runners and bikers. We are less than a mile from the Local 111 and The Old Claverack Brewery Pub, and within a few miles of Hawthorne Valley. Only 15 minutes from the great restaurants of Hudson and Chatham.
  • This was my third stay at Katherine's. When my car had issues due to the frigid temperatures, Katherine was quick to get back to me with the name of a local mechanic. She and her husband were very kind and helpful. Thank you for another lovely stay.

    Marianne2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • A stylish spot in a lovely location. We were quite snug and warm even when the temperature was in the single digits, and my daughter fell madly in love with the horses. Highly recommended.

  • Broad Reach farm was great! Will definitely keep it on the short list for the Hudson Valley!

    Aaron2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Liked the ambience of the stables and animals on the property

    Robert2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • It’s always welcoming to visit the nature spaces here with the farm and all peaceful surrounding area. Preparing for the environment bring shoes walkable for dewy grass and seasonal weather. It’s best to have a flashlight ready until sensor light responds. It’s an area that’s biking and close to all areas for main roads and towns. Ghent or Hudson and a Easy commute for time to Albany on non toll roads that will rise to give you farm stands and distilleries.. We took the route and as the wind gusts took to the trees it blew orange and gold leaves like confetti on the road and our truck it felt just like a parade in celebration of life.

    Nancy2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay, excellent location and the views are beautiful and the horses make it that much better. Very peaceful and quiet. Highly recommend!

    Wes2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Our trip to Katherine’s farm was wonderful. The room was private, quiet, clean, spacious and very comfortable. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and we really appreciated having a coffee machine, small fridge and pack and play in the room. We would definitely recommend it as a place to stay if you’re in the area!

    Kristin2019-10-06T00:00:00Z

  • Beautiful clean cozy home. Soheray was a great host and responsive. Self check in was a smooth process. Thank you for having us!

    Surayah2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Soheray’s place was amazing for our quick Hudson getaway! It was super clean and quaint and the hosts were great communicators. Downtown Hudson was about 10 minutes away and was such a wonderful area to hangout. All in all a great stay!!

  • I rarely write reviews, but I had to come on and say that these are some the nicest people.I have to ask a lot of questions due to my allergies and theywere extremely understanding and even were very relieved when I reported no allergic reactions. They really cared about my well being in their house. The house itself is very neat, clean, peaceful and the neighborhood is so quiet you could hear a pin drop in the middle of the day. Thank you Soheray and Nicholas.

    Cheryl2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a cute place! Soheray and Nicholas were great communicators and included many thoughtful touches that made our stay all the more pleasant. The bungalow is on a very nice street on Philmont and conveniently situated between Hudson, the Berkshires and Hawthorne Valley Farm, which is less than 10 minutes away. Traveling with 2 young children and finding accommodations that work for us is never easy but this place was perfect for our family with flexible sleeping arrangements, a spacious layout, fully stocked kitchen and a yard where they could run around. Thank you Soheray and Nicholas, we will be back!

    Britta2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place is fantastic! The location is great, very close to Hudson. It was super clean, cozy- but not cramped. Nicely furnished and decorated. Easy to find and access. The beds were very comfortable and the neighborhood was quite. The couch was comfy, and we enjoyed our Netflix during down time. The heat worked really well and the water and water pressure was great too. I am glad I found a place that can accommodate a family that is affordable and convenient. The hosts are close by if you need anything, they were very responsive with any questions I had. I will definitely be back! Thank you Soheray for a great stay!

This unique space has a loft provides a sitting area over the main house living space with large windows overlooking the park like yard and creek, where you may enjoy reading, many games or a quiet space to work, down a short hallway and is completely private master suite with walk in closet, full bath and lovely bedroom area. We provide coffee, tea, snacks, Keurig machine, cutlery, microwave and mini fridge to make your stay cozy and like home. Babysitting may also be provided!
Once inside you feel as though you are in an Adirondack cabin, with quaint coastal decor, the loft area provides a nice sitting, play and game room that overlooks the main living space and put the large windows to the park like acres and the creek. The owners are lovely and kind and invite their guests to feel free to use the main kitchen l, patio areas, bbq pit, and canoe if they'd like. If you are needing more of a private stay that is absolutely possible as well as the home is typically a very quiet place to be and the loft bedroom suite is secluded and has just about everything one needs to be able to stay in and work and find peace and quiet, but I do highly recomend sitting and enjoying some time by the beautiful creek.
This is on a semi secluded street away from any main roads but only a 10 minute drive to Hudson's popular Warren street, as well as 20 min to Caramount, 3 min drive to Olde York Distillery. There are many hiking trails, restaurants, farms and wineries as well, just ask and i will be happy to give you recommendations.

  • When I wanted to book a 'one month before wedding' getaway for my fiancee and I, 'the cabin', as we took to referring to it after our wonderful first visit two years ago, was my first and only thought. We love this place! It's so warm and cozy, great for a quiet weekend away. Laurence and Ilze are total pros, the cabin is perfectly set up as an AirBNB, and they have thought of everything. Perfect hosts. Can't wait to return!

    Matt2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We highly recommend Ilse and Laurence's cozy and charming house. We are a family of four avid skiers who stayed at the house a number of weekends this winter while we skied at nearby Catamount Ski Resort. The house lives up to the lovely photos. Decorated in a homey, country style, it is clean, well maintained and well outfitted and the location, just off the Taconic and Rte 23 is very convenient. The hosts are very responsive and accommodating while fully respectful of our privacy. Its a great value worthy of the excellent reviews.

    Jonathan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is simply... amazing. Perfectly located off the Taconic, near plenty of restaurants and activities. The home itself and so cozy. Beautifully decorated, very clean, charming, lots of space! Ilze welcomed us as soon as we arrived and was quick to respond to all our questions. It was so pleasant, we ended up extending our stay. Thank you Ilze!!

    Kyle2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our time at Laurence and Ilze's nicely decorated home. You definitely feel like home. The only suggestion is if you plan to go there on a winter time, make sure your car is equipped. The house was awesome with so many cool places around to visit. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Eda2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at the Raspberry Ridge Cottage! It was a cosy and delightful spot to spend a few days in the winter season. Ilze and Laurence were easily accessible as we prepared for our trip and once there. We definitely plan on coming back!

A cozy cottage on lots of land that exudes great warmth. It's the perfect place to declutter your mind and reconnect with yourself and those that you love. Did we mention free coffee, bottomless pancakes, and real maple syrup too???
Quiet, newly renovated one bedroom cottage set on two open acres to roam is the perfect place to unwind. Surrounded on three sides by woods and on the other by our neighbor with a barn, you can get back to basics reading, writing, or going for long walks on quiet country roads. Located on a dirt road that sees about fifteen cars a day, our adorable cedar-sided cottage is our home away from home that's perfect for an individual, a couple, a couple with small children, or a couple of couples looking to get away from it all. Though seemingly removed, it's conveniently located 15 minutes from restaurants, shops, and nightlife in Hudson and just 25 minutes from Great Barrington. Best of all is you are zero minutes from lounging in an Adironack chair under the shade of our large catalpa tree. Choose to sit and relax by the seasonal brook that runs the length of the back edge of our property or read and doze in our hammock resting between two spruce trees. The fire ring has seen lots of guitars and roasted marshmallows. If you must motivate and do something active, swimming, hiking and skiing in the winter are just minutes away. You can completely unplug with our wireless fidelity views of trees and flowers, LCD double-paned flat-screen picture windows, and analog woodstove for entertainment. Cell service is available for phone calls and Internet but not enough to always be on your phone :) We have an outdoor shower, ping pong table, dart board, frisbee and all the sporting equipment for your enjoyment. If you choose not to grill on the front patio, you can cook in our tiny but full kitchen. Hawthorne Valley Farm store is ten minutes to our north, and there are seasonal farm stands even closer. Skiing and snowshoeing in the winter are either right out the front door or if you choose to downhill ski, Catamount is less than 15 minutes away. Please note: We are pet friendly though to keep our house as clean as possible for future guests we add a $10 per pet fee. Thank you for your understanding!
Rural road that sees maybe a dozen cars a day. No need to drive on the road unless you live on it. Feels remote, but you're minutes from the Taconic, and less than 15 minutes to the City of Hudson.
  • The food was delicious and I cannot wait to cook it at home. The stories that went along with it made it even more interesting. It was a great experience!

  • This trip to Cuba was my 3rd time in the country, and I wanted to get off the tourist path and meet some locals. My friend and I had a wonderful time during this cooking class--it was one of the favorite things we did, and I highly recommend it. Not only do you learn how to prepare a Cuban meal and enjoy the high-quality of the food (it was the best thing we ate during our week there!) but you get to experience the hospitality of a Cuban home. Mari was very friendly, open, and funny, and she answered questions we had about Cuba. Our conversations gave us great insight to the culture and history of this fascinating country. You won't regret taking this class!

    Mary-Alice2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was a fantastic experience and meal. I really enjoyed my time with them a lot. They made me feel very welcome. We shared stories while cooking. It was the best.

  • We rented the Cottage on Dunbar Road for 32 days and loved every single minute of our stay. The house is on a pond with a babbling brook and a huge deck overlooking all. The house is beautiful and was beyond our expectations. It is bright and well appointed and we felt comfortable from the start. James and Andrew were very responsive to any request or minor adjustment. We felt like treasured guests. We will return in the Spring from our home in Los Angeles!! Can't wait. Thank you!

    Nancy2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing location with everything you need. Host were responsive and helped resolve any issues we had. Recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

    Jesse2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely time staying at James' home! Mid October is a beautiful time of year to stay here because the trees surrounding his home are bright yellow and orange. We enjoying sitting on the dock by the pond, on the deck, and listening to music on his wonderful stereo system. He provided ample details about the surrounding area and even left us a great bottle of wine to enjoy upon arrival! The hottub was not warm the first night we arrived so I would only suggest turning it on sooner if possible so it is hot when guests land at the home. We had a great time using it but the first night we were all pretty chilly since the water was lukewarm. I'd also suggest bringing some cooking supplies if you plan to cook! He has a beautiful kitchen looking out to the living room but it lacked some basic kitchen supplies like a cutting board (unless we couldn't find it!) Also - watch your head on the stairs and the low door for the room upstairs - we all whacked our heads!

  • The cottage exceeded all our expectations. Beautiful location, modern and charming interior, a wonderful retreat surrounded by the beauty of the countryside in Upstate NY, but close to Hudson and all the amenities.

    Mary2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space in the wooded parts of Hudson. 15 minutes from everything but just off the beaten path enough to be one of the best space in Hudson.

    Christopher2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • We loved being in James & Drew's home. From the bottle of rose upon arrival to the detailed list of area attractions, from the kitchen full of all the essentials to the perfect hot tub - it was an ease and a joy to settle in and make ourselves at home. Outside we enjoyed the huge back deck and yard, frog pond and utter quiet. Take note: the 3rd bedroom has a nice big bed but is under eaves. In the end our 3rd friend wasn't able to join us, but it would've been tough figuring out who drew that room. Other than that, we would return in a heartbeat. Thank you for the welcome and the beauty. You've helped us to end the summer well!

On the second floor of an old Victorian era home built in 1909, the bedroom has a queen bed and day bed, so sleeps 3. Lots of fresh sheets, but what makes it economy is you make your own bed with sheets we provide. TEENY, TINY bathroom, used by you and other guests if there are any. Microwave, small frig, toaster oven, tea kettle, hot plate, coffee, tea, bottled water, packaged snacks. It has AC in summer and heat in the winter. Welcome to Langley House!
The photo is one found during remodeling. Taken circa 1930. The house was built in 1909, and was previously owned by a Jewish couple who were Holocaust survivors. When they died, there were no heirs, so the house was left to the neighbor who had been helpful to them over the years. It sat vacant for years. They gardened extensively, so I am slowly bringing it back to its original spirit. There are a half dozen restaurants just down the road. Many feature farm-to-table fare. We are surrounded by farms and I hope you enjoy your stay in beautiful Columbia County in the Hudson Valley
I am across from a field, in a rural area, backing up to a creek. My block is a row of Victorian homes. A few minutes from several wonderful restaurants, a pub, 2 neighborhood grocery stores, an organic farm store, Waldorf school.
  • Thank you :)

  • My stay was truly delightful! A warm spirited home, with frequent visits from the pets and a stillness during the sleepy hours like no other... slept like a king! The location was central and close to wonderful farmers markets and quality restaurants. The surrounding nature was captivating and the village history was wondrous. Communications with Mary were enjoyable and I felt comfortable to be myself and relax. I highly recommend staying at the Langley House!

Welcome to Taiga Wellness Retreat. Situated in beautiful Columbia County, NY, two minutes from Hawthorne Valley Farm & School between Hudson NY and Great Berrington MA. Enjoy the peace and restore your senses in the seclusion of nature. Private Qigong, meditation, and Healing Bodywork sessions are available upon request to nourish your body and to settle the busy mind.
The wooden log house tucked in on the beautiful eight acres property. It's just a short distance from Chatham, Hudson, and Great Barrington with great dining, entertainment, and shopping. Enjoy hiking at the Catskills, Hudson Valley, and the Berkshires.
  • My stay at Taiga was absolutely wonderful. Anton has an extraordinarily beautiful home that perfectly sums up the name “wellness retreat”. It is also conventionally located near several towns with good food and shopping (e.g. Hudson), as well as a decent drive to hiking in the Catskills. I can not recommend this stay enough! Absolutely perfect for a weekend getaway.

    Rose2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Taiga is a place to slow down, to find peace within. Located in a healthy and beautiful community, this place is ideal to disconnect from the vicissitudes of life and reconnect with Nature and your true Nature. Anton is also a skillful massage therapist, if you need it. Highly recommended.

    Therese2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Anton’s home is truly magical. From the nature engulfing the cabin, to the calm and cozy interior, to Anton’s Qigong meditations and bodywork, my partner and I were thoroughly impressed with our stay, especially for the affordable price. We are excited to return in the summer!

    Maria2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our weekend away at Taiga Retreat was just what we were hoping for: a quiet, relaxing, and welcoming place -- a home away from home for a few days. Anton created a very warm and comforting environment, which helped us (my partner and I) recharge and reconnect, taking time to just be with and listen to each other. Anton also took time to engage in conversation with us, and my partner received some helpful bodywork while we were there. I highly recommend staying at Taiga Retreat for anyone looking for a place to reconnect, relax, reflect, recharge, etc.

    Daniel2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Another amazing weekend stay, thank you!

    Boris2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at the Taiga Retreat was one of the most amazing and memorable experiences for my wife and myself. Anton lived up to the expectations you can imagine - from educational point of view and as professional Master of Healing modalities. He also educated us on a lot of Qi Qong principles and opened up a completely new world of mindfulness and spirituality within ourselves. We are definitely looking forward staying at his place again in a future and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to explore different healing techniques and modalities. Thank you, Anton!

    Boris2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Anton's was exactly what we were hoping for. The place is quiet, peaceful, spotlessly clean, and in a really lovely spot. And Anton was a great host - responsive and accommodating. This was our first Airbnb experience - a perfect way to start!

    Erica2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We worked with Anton to house some craftspeople coming for a local project. Anton was super friendly, extremely communitive & welcoming, and everybody loved his place. Highly recommended!

Charming, casual & comfortable country home with front porch, enclosed back porch on 1/2 acre. Lane has 3 houses on a dead-end quiet road. Three miles from historic city of Hudson with fine dining, art galleries & antiques. Minutes from Taconic Parkway & Lake Taconic. Less than hour by car to Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, and the Catskill Mountains. Two hour Amtrak ride from Hudson to NYC. I will be available via phone, text or email & can be at property within minutes if needed.
My home was initially purchased by my parents & moved to its current location at 17 Homestead Lane in 1969. My husband and I purchased the home from my parents in 1995. This summer, I felt it was time to list my home on Airbnb. Only 3 miles to Hudson, known as one of “the coolest small cities,” my neighborhood includes a small farm for rescue animals and is minutes away from some of Columbia County’s most picturesque locations, popular farm stands, historic Olana, the Catskills, and the mighty Hudson River.
I love living in this serene spot within minutes of shopping specialty stores and fine dining on Warren Street in Hudson. Hopefully, my guests will enjoy the beauty of the area and my country home as much as I do.
  • Nancy’s home was a wonderful place to unwind while in Hudson. The house exudes warmth, character, and charm and felt so comfortable from the moment we stepped foot inside. The beds were cozy, plenty of fresh towels and thoughtful touches. It exceeded our expectations. Even though we have been to Hudson many times before, it was nice to have a book of recommendations just in case we wanted something a little different, which Nancy provided. The home is situated 11 minutes from downtown Hudson, making it a perfect place to relax while still being close enough to enjoy everything the town has to offer. Thank you Nancy for a truly wonderful space.

  • This is a beautiful country home in a beautiful neighborhood. It's a short walk to commune with a stream or watch the neighbor's donkeys. The furniture is extremely comfortable. All of it. The kitchen chairs. The dining room chairs. The beds. The couches. It is a great place to relax with a large family and not be on top of each other. We really enjoyed hanging out in this really well appointed house, which was warm, while the cold wind blew outside. And, the host provided many, many special touches that made us feel very welcome.

  • Nancy’s space was set in a beautiful location and exactly as described in the listing. The bedrooms were nice sizes and the commons areas were very comfortable.

    Nicole2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean older home in quiet neighborhood. Nancy left plenty of towels, blankets & other comfort items and even had some eggs for us in the refrigerator! All three beds were very comfortable. I love that the house has filtered well water that is better than anything you could buy. Quick & attentive communication. I would book here again without hesitation!

    Maria2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This house is magical! There’s so much space with rooms to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the surrounding area. The beds were so comfortable and Nancy provided extra blankets for the chillier nights. My coworkers and I came up to Hudson to visit friends and it was the perfect weekend for it! The fall foliage was in full bloom and Nancy’s house provided MULTIPLE porches for us to enjoy the falling leaves :) Although Nancy was out of town during our time here she was very communicative and we really wished we could’ve met her! A reason to return! Thank you so much Nancy ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

Enjoy sipping hot cocoa by the warm wood stove as you're blanketed in a handmade quilt from India. Relax with a soak in the deep cedar hot tub, and end the evening sitting around the outdoor fire pit. A seven-minute drive to Warren st, the heart of Hudson and just minutes away from groomed cross-country trails and less than thirty minutes to downhill skiing. This perfect rustic Classic Farmhouse on over 8 acres of laws and woods ensures your privacy for a perfect winter retreat. Cozy bedrooms and a large open downstairs makes the house perfect for large gatherings of friends or family.
Come enjoy your lovely old farm house. We live here most of the time with our two kids. We love to travel and we make the space available to others when we are away. Our huge yard is great for relaxing while the kids run amok. It is all very private with the nearest neighbors well out of shouting range. We have regular visits from deer and wild turkeys so keep a look out. Our in ground pool is perfect on a hot day. Kids will have a great time in the yard. We have a tennis court (not currently in use) where younger kids can ride bikes or shoot baskets. If you want to really explore the property there is plenty of room to roam. Our road is also great for walking through farm land. Our house is an old farm house that we have been restoring. If you love old houses you will love this one. It has two stair cases and a series of connected rooms. The master bedroom and bath has its own stair case although you can sneak through to other rooms via a low doorway. The living room has a nice wood stove and plenty of space for relaxing. There is a TV and stereo with speakers everywhere. We love to cook and the kitchen has everything you will need to cook up a feast of local delights. We will leave you a long list of places to pick up local veggies and meats. The master bed is spacious with windows on 3 sides and a queen size bed. Our second and third and fourth bedrooms have double beds. The downstairs bedroom has a double bed adjacent to the screened in porch perfect for cozy night in the summer. Kittle road is one of the most beautiful roads to venture down. Less than 1/2 mile out from our long driveway is gorgeous farm land, super serene jogging, biking and walking. Artists and photographers come to capture scenes which we have posted in photos at the end of our listing. We are sure you will love our home as much as we do. We are from Hudson and we will leave you information on all of our favorite places to eat, hike, visit and explore. We know you will have a great time.
The farmhouse location is well-suited for those looking to explore the city of Hudson as well as the surrounding countryside. Go for long scenic hikes and bike rides along the trails and visit the many restaurants, shops, and galleries nearby.
  • We had a wonderful time getting away from the city. The home had everything we needed and the hot tub is great. A heads up, it is a farmhouse so you may have some little friends join you in the home when it gets cold.

    Patrick2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our stay here! Very comfortable, warm, private. Close to Hudson, skiing, good restaurants. Hosts were gracious and accommodating.

    Alice2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderfully charming house for a friend weekend getaway. Enjoyed the hot tub and space.

    Elisa2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great house to spend a cozy winter weekend at with friends. We loved having indoor and outdoor fires, hitting the hot tub, cooking in the big farm kitchen and having plenty of room to eat at the big dining room table. Check-in was super easy and Sam was very communicative. We'll be back in the summer to hit the pool.

    Megan2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This lovely farmhouse is a gem. I came with a group for an upstate birthday getaway, and it was everything we hoped for and more. The house has genuine vintage character with modern upgrades (new wood burning stove, new hot tub) and plenty of space for cooking, dining and lounging. When we had a question Sam responded by calling me within 5 minutes of sending my message and was so helpful. We would love to come back in the summer for a pool weekend too.

    Julie2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I had a pleasant stay at Sam and Laura's rustic farmhouse. We especially appreciated the cozy living room; easy check-in and departure process; the house's easy-to-use Sonos system; great hot tub; the quick drive to Hudson; and the peace, quiet, and privacy of the property which made for a relaxing stay. Parts of the house were a little dated and the house creaks a bit but we personally found that those features added to the charm. Would definitely recommend for a larger group wanting modern conveniences and rustic charm near Hudson.

    Matt2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Hot tub was a highlight - as well as the proximity to town whilst feeling in the middle of nowhere. A refreshing stay!

    Will2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay! Laura and Sam were excellent hosts and they even left fresh veggies from the market. I would definitely recommend this place for a stay in Hudson.

This home is a secluded, peaceful retreat surrounded by woods. It's the perfect place for a family or group of friends to relax and get away at any time of year! In the summer, go swimming in our in-ground pool (completely fenced-in for the kids) and BBQ local steaks and veggies on our deck. In the winter, cozy up in front of the wood-burning stove. We are close to hiking, skiing, biking, quaint towns and farms. Amenities include air conditioning, Wi-Fi, microwave, TV, laundry, and dishwasher.
Outside we have an in-ground pool, a large deck, a custom-built treehouse and tons of grassy areas for running around. On the main floor you will find a fully-equipped kitchen, with eat-in dining for 6, plus a full bathroom, and the living room. Upstairs you will find two guestrooms, one of which has a bunk bed with trundle, a full bath with a tub, and a master bedroom overlooking the living room. In the fully finished basement is the washer and dryer, and a rec room with games, puzzles, and a TV. Two of the three bedrooms have a cut-out design (see pictures!). They have doors but aren't completely private.
We are in the heart of Columbia County, which has beautiful, rolling hills and many places to hike, bike, walk, and ski! There are a number of family farms located close by, offering fruits, veggies and meat products. We are situated in between the towns of Hudson and Great Barrington, both of which have great restaurants, breweries and lively, walkable downtowns. We are about a mile away from the town of Philmont and very close to the town of Hillsdale.
  • A group of us, adults and children, stayed here to ski at Catamount, which is an easy 20 minute drive away. The house is terrific for kids— lots of toys, a loft, a basement, a treehouse outside. The house would be great in the summer since there is a huge deck and a pool, neither of which we used, but wished we could. Melanie, the host, is very responsive and provided detailed and accurate instructions. The owners are very generous with their kitchen supplies, which we appreciated since we didn’t bring some important items like coffee. They also very thoughtfully laid a fire in the wood stove so all we had to do was light a match. Everyone in our group would definitely stay here again.

    Yuehru2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The house had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away from the city. It's spacious, clean and comfortable and there's an amazing treehouse that the kids loved playing in. Melanie was responsive and helpful, with great tips for exploring the area and local farms. We had a great stay and would definitely come back!

    Remy2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here! The location is perfect. It's quiet and woodsy, but close to towns and attractions. The space is clean and sunny. My kids loved climbing on the beautiful treehouse. Melanie was very responsive to all our questions and a great host. We highly recommend this home!

    Loni & Russ2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect getaway house. So close to Hudson going west and Berkshires going east. Melanie was a great host and everything was exactly as described. I am already checking dates to book again during ski season.

  • This is a great, affordable option for large families visiting Hudson. We were 4 adults and 4 children under the age of 7. The kids loved running around the expansive lawn and neighboring fields. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably and we were able to cook most meals at home in the large kitchen. Would definitely stay here again!

  • Wonderful property and outstanding location. CELAN. Well appointed. The beds are fantastic. 5 stars

    Christopher2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Loved it! Came with our 3 little ones when there was more than a foot of snow on the ground. They loved the bunk beds and our 6 year old loved the snowshoeing. Cozy place with a wonderful warm stove, a great dining room table and plenty of toys/games for the kids—they loved the giant chalkboard. Hawthorne Valley farm is just 2 min away which is super convenient—the kids fed the pigs and milked the cows!

  • I could not recommend Lucy’s farm home more! Everything was exceptional and I cannot wait to come back. Not only did we stay in a beautiful home in a great location, but Lucy and Jill helped curate a truly special weekend (farm to table dinner, fully stocked fridge, private yoga, etc).

  • Couldn’t have asked for a better fall weekend spent upstate, and away from the city. The house is beautifully decorated with thoughtful and charming touches, and was the perfect cozy getaway—even better than what the photos show! The beds were comfortable, and our group of 6 had more than enough space to lounge and eat together. Farm and field was exactly what I had in mind when I wanted to book place to unwind and enjoy the surroundings, and exceeded my expectations.

    Tatiana2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect last minute getaway from our family of adults and kids. D says “love the goats!” N says “sweet sunrise! And walk to the farm!” M says “perfect spot for bonding with family.” R says “so nice and quiet - great to be in the outdoors. Love the fridge!” D says “can we go back and play twister again?! And can we get a swing in our yard?!”

    Nicole2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lucy, Jill, and Duffy were wonderful hosts! The Airbnb was as beautiful as expected - both inside and out! The home was decorated well, was cozy and lovely, had comfortable beds, and we felt right at home! We ordered some food (cheese boards, breakfast, eggs), as well as a gorgeous catered dinner. It was all delicious! Our hosts were incredibly responsive when we had questions, and gave us plenty of space. This is a beautiful spot for a quiet getaway or a family function like we had. Book it now!

Our one-story, round house is nestled in a "holler" on a quiet dirt road, surrounded by an active farm landscape (all organic), woods and waterways. We are located a short drive to hiking at the High Falls Conservation Area, walking the trails at the Won Dharma Meditation Center, or strolling Warren St in Hudson. A drive of 20-30 minutes will have you at Catamount for skiing or the ropes course, or into the Berkshire region of Western Massachusets.
Please make yourself comfortable. You may hang your coat and leave your shoes in the mudroom entrance if you like. The guest room has a single bed and adjacent private bathroom with shower. Closet space is available too. Guest room is located near the mudroom and the entry hallway of house.
We live on a back road, and enjoy the peace and beauty of the countryside.
  • A lovely setting in the country, comfortable room for one person, private bath, and perfect host. Extra touches: Good coffee supplies for the morning and nice places to sit outside if the weather is good.

  • Wonderful spot - I had a great solo retreat for a night and enjoyed walking around Betsy’s beautiful property and chatting with her. The room had everything I needed. Was able to take a cab in from town and back. Wonderful night of sleep and awoke to birds chirping!

    Sheila2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and close to Hudson. Had to make last minute plans for a wedding and Betsy was totally accommodating.

    Chris2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is my second stay within 6 months and I cannot imagine wanting to stay anywhere else in this area. Betsy is a warm, thoughtful and considerate, available if you need anything and unobtrusive if you don't, host. The home is nestled in scenic farmland. My stays in this solar home has exceeded my expectations.

    Frances2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Betsy was exactly what I was looking for. A peaceful and remote (yet still convenient) location. Quiet and scenic and special. What I didn’t expect what such a generous host. Betsy goes above & beyond and seamlessly treated me more like a friend than a guest. She was even so kind as to loan me a bicycle to use in the neighborhood (it’s hilly but lovely!). Staying with Betsy is the kind of experience Airbnb was made for.

    Shira2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to stay for a solo getaway. I wanted a little 24 hour trip to Hudson, but wanted to be in nature and not stay in town. Betsy's house is a 10 minute drive from Hudson. The house is surrounded by trees and extremely quiet. The guest room and bathroom feel private from the other parts of the house. Betsy was so quick to respond, and even let me change my booking date when I saw the weather was going to be bad. The room has a library with books on plant medicine and biodynamic farming :) When I woke up there was a french press of coffee ready, and her daughter offered me a scone she and her friend were baking :) It was exactly what I needed, thank you!

    Caitlin2019-08-05T00:00:00Z

We cannot wait to return and do it all over again.

  • It’s a great escape from the city. Located roughly 15 min outside of Hudson you find this large country home tucked away on a small farm. It is relaxing, clean, comfortable and offers free snacks and breakfast. The hosts are very gracious and helpful. We spent our morning talking over breakfast, our days exploring Hudson and Olana, and spent our evenings talking around the fireplace while drinking hot tea—also sometimes there is a bonfire out back near the pond. Can’t recommend enough—those escaping the city grind will find refuge here.

The home is very nice-simple, stylish, and ample. The whole place has great lighting and excellent views of the flora and fauna. There are lots of nice touches inside as well. James left us a welcome packet with plenty of helpful tips. I went for a couple of runs in the area, and we did a couple local hikes as well. If you enjoy nature and the outdoors, you will love this place! We highly recommend you stay here--we are already returning our 2020 fall trip. Thank you, James, for being an amazing host!

Bedroom in an old Victorian era home built in 1909. One queen bed and a walk-in closet. TEENY, TINY bathroom, shared with other guests, if there are any. Microwave, small frig, toaster oven, hot plate, coffee, tea, bottled water, packaged snacks. a very cozy room with AC in summer and controlled heat in the winter. I have a Maltese/Yorkie 10 year old dog, Buddy. He will bark at you but really he is harmless. Also, I have a Siberian, hypo allergenic cat, Lola. Welcome to Langley House!
The photo is one found during remodeling. Taken circa 1930. The house was built in 1909 and was previously owned by a Jewish couple who were Holocaust survivors. When they died, there were no heirs, so the house was left to the neighbor who had been helpful to them over the years. It sat vacant for years. They gardened extensively, so I am slowly bringing it back to its original spirit.
I am across from a field, in a rural area, backing up to a creek. My block is a row of Victorian homes. A few minutes from several wonderful restaurants, a pub, 2 neighborhood grocery stores, an organic farm store, Waldorf school.

  • Mary was an excellent host. We didn’t get to talk much, but when we did, she was very friendly, and her responses were always prompt. I really enjoyed staying at her house.

Stay in a gorgeous, sanitized, former 1800's ice house, newly renovated & expanded to make a modern, light-filled, pastoral retreat, less than 10 minutes to Hudson. Wander 25 acres & discover the pond, apple orchard, woods (find our gnomes!), & fields of wild flowers. If there's snow, x-country ski or snowshoe. Sit on the roof deck & enjoy views of the Catskills, or our pond, framed by graceful willows and reeds. Or stay cozy & appreciate views, birds, & wildlife, from the huge picture windows.
*Given the current Corona situation, we have added more time between visitors to ensure the most thorough disinfecting possible. Our caretaker meticulously cleans all surfaces, door handles, hand rails, linens, keys, and any other high touch areas) between guests.* This is an architect-owned and designed house, that was just completed. After years of looking for the perfect upstate property, this came on the market and we knew we'd finally found it! The land is spectacular and the house had so much history and promise. The renovation was a labor of love and the final result is something we could not be happier with. This is an ideal country retreat, with plenty of food/activity options within close driving distance. Hudson's main street, Warren Street, is only a six-minute drive. The house itself is airy and open and perfect for families and couples to gather, cook, and relax in. Although the inside of the house is complete, we still have some ongoing outdoor projects (like the patio) and construction materials that won't be complete/gone until spring. Please note that two of the sleeping areas (lofts) do not have doors separating them from below (but you can not see up into them even without doors). If two couples are sharing their stay, the master suite is in it's own house with a door separating it from all the living spaces below the big loft.
We used to be part of a farm/orchard and there is still an apple orchard, Philip Orchards, a few hundred meters down the road. Hudson is less than 10 minutes away. Catamount skiing is apprx. 20 minutes away and Windham is about 45 minutes. There are multiple farms and farm stands, distilleries, hiking, and charming upstate towns only quick jaunts away. If you have a few days at the house to explore the area, we aren't too far from Berkshire amenities.
  • Dan and Anna's beautiful Ice House is the perfect blend of style and comfort set in the most picturesque and quiet location - just minutes away from everything Hudson has to offer. This unique home has a fascinating history and we so appreciated that Dan and Anna chose to honor that history in the renovation. Thoughtful touches are everywhere - from the very comfortable beds and pillows to a welcome gift and thoughtful notes on where to find things around the home. Furnishings are comfortable and stylish without being fussy. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a great supply of staples at the ready. The home is spotless and Dan and Anna have thoughtfully provided everything you might need. Our favorite time was spent in the living space looking out the amazing picture window at the serene pond - scanning for wildlife and enjoying the beautiful view as the sunlight shifted. The home is very quiet despite not being far from route 9H - at night you hear nothing but the occasional coyote. (Yes, we heard them - more than one for sure - crazy for us city slickers!) We can't wait to return to see the property thru the seasons - when the weather is warm enough to enjoy the roof deck, patio and grill and to see the orchard trees in bloom. As a frequent traveler and fan of Airbnb, I can honestly say this was one of the best rental experiences I've enjoyed to date. The communication with Dan and Anna was easy and I appreciated their thoughtful check in's to make sure all was well with our stay. I would recommend The Ice House to anyone looking for an escape to upstate - quiet and removed yet minutes from the restaurants and shops of Hudson. Thank you, Dan and Anna, for sharing your beautiful home with us - we look forward to visiting again soon! Mia & friends NYC, NY

  • Such a beautiful and comfortable home. Great views, well decorated and overall great spot for a weekend getaway. Will be back.

  • Had a fantastic and relaxing weekend! The house (and huge plot of land on which it’s located) is gorgeous, renovated very stylishly and modern, but still possessing its old charm. The windows were stunning and gave the house ample natural light. It’s clear that a lot of love and thought went into the renovation/remodel. Daniel and Ana were thoughtful and completely available. Loved the tea and local honey they left for us! Coffee fixins being available was also a huge plus, along with a good selection of games for a fun time with family or friends. Beds were super comfy and the bathrooms made showering feel downright luxurious. The house is close enough to town (8 mins or so) that it’s convenient for outings, but far enough removed that you feel isolated. Can’t wait to come back!

  • We found the perfect upstate getaway for our little family. Yes the house is spotless, decorated and appointed with superb taste and had everything you'd ever need, and frankly, just super cool, but what I loved the most was the stargazing we were able to do. Even though we travel far and wide often, it is rare for us to see the moon and stars the way we could from the Ice House. That we were able to tell our three year old all about the moon and constellations through the huge amazing (and spotlessly clean) windows of the living room and kitchen while holding warm drinks in our hands, without any light pollution or traffic noise, was simply sublime. During the day we basked in the beautiful architecture of the comfortable house, explored the large property including the pond where we skipped rocks on the ice, drove the scenic country roads to taste delicious local fare and visited local farms and museums. On the way home we drove to one of the excellent dairy farms with an honor system farm store where the farmer invited us to walk through the rows of cows in the barn (!!) so my toddler could see the pigs he wanted to see on the other end of the barn. This was no curated farm visit folks, but is the kind of experience that having come to the Ice House has allowed us to have. Our brief stay couldn't have been better, and we can't wait to go back in the spring and fall.

  • The Ice House is uniquely modern and has open floorplan with big windows surrounded by beautiful views. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely consider coming back in the near future.

  • As a frequent weekender in the Hudson Valley, I can honestly say that Daniel's Ice House retreat was the most picturesque, relaxing place I have ever rented in the area. It was such a treat to feel like we were staying off grid while actually being just minutes away from downtown Hudson. The pictures don't even do this place justice. THE WINDOWS! They are absolutely incredible, and it was hard to want to leave the house because it was so lovely to relax and look out at the scenery around. The interior is tastefully decorated. Super clean, very comfortable for our group of 5, well-stocked, uber convenient, and literally STUNNING. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend.

  • Our Ice House stay was a delightful last minute escape from the city. Dan’s place was awesome - he’s put in some unique and thoughtful touches - and the location couldn’t have been better for our quiet weekend away. Check in was easy, and Dan was very helpful and had great recommendations for the area. We had some fabulous meals (the Bartlett House is great for meals and baked goods), visited Kinderhook farms which is an adorable local farm and farm store, and walked around Art Omi which was really beautiful even in grey weather. Most importantly for us, we loved relaxing in the house. It is so bright (even on dreary days), cozy, warm and lots of great games. A true home away from home. The kitchen was well stocked and just beautiful to cook in. We loved their local goody bag and their house host stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed. We will be back!

  • Wow, the “Ice House” is simply amazing! I wasn’t quite sure what to expect since I was the first official guest, but had high hopes based on the pictures and excellent communication with the host. The house far exceeded expectations and was the perfect mix of country retreat and high-end living. It was clear a lot of thought and care was put into the layout, decor and design. The little touches made it feel like a home and we enjoyed our time around the house as much as exploring the neighboring towns and sights. Speaking of sights, the "Ice House" is surrounded by orchards, nature, markets, picturesque towns, shops, supermarkets and it's 10 minutes from Hudson. The amenities were plentiful including a well-appointed chef's kitchen with high-end range, appliances, dishwasher and cookware - seriously awesome. The stone counter tops, flooring and island were gorgeous. The bathrooms were beautiful and offered amazing showers/baths. The beds were cozy. The house was well stocked with kitchen supplies, toiletries, bedding and even board games. We had friends over one evening and the kitchen and massive dining table made entertaining a breeze. My favorite part of the house had to be the immense windows that immersed us in the landscape and bathed the house in beautiful light throughout the day. The views from every room were awesome and we spent a lot of time checking out the active wildlife, including a bald eagle that we spotted right over the house. On a snowy day, we canceled plans and hung around the house - it felt like we were in a snow globe. From a logistics standpoint, it couldn't have been easier. Dan was very helpful and left great instructions for the house and tips about the area. Looking forward to another visit. This place is magical!

Escape the hustle and bustle to this quiet, cozy refuge in a hamlet near Hudson. A creek babbles beyond the small back yard. Easy access to all of Columbia Co., Berkshires & Catskills. Omi art, Hudson restaurants, hiking -- Amtrak is only 18 minutes away. Free Wi-Fi. Families, singles, couples, friend groups -- everyone is welcome. Pet friendly! Sleeps 7: 3 BRs, 4 beds. (Double bed/oversize daybed in front common area.) 2 full baths. Wi-Fi. Three-car limit on the property, please.
Enjoy my beloved home. In warm weather, the screened back porch, with hammock, comfy chairs, and table and chairs for dining is the favorite part of the house! If you are watchful, you'll see deer down by the water. Please note: parking is limited to a total of three cars. Everyone loves the very wide antique floorboards and original ceiling beams in the older part of the house. The family room has a big smart TV with a multitude of apps -- bring your usernames and passwords for Netflix, Hulu, etc. Work-friendly, too: desk and new laser printer. Gas fireplace.
My house is near but NOT in Hudson! Hudson is Airbnb's default location for my house. Great restaurants and bars are in Philmont, plus hiking trails and the lovely waterfall of High Falls Conservation Area --all just minutes away. A quick drive to Hudson brings more superb dining, plus shopping, yoga classes, etc. Ghent, Chatham, Hillsdale and Germantown offer additional dining and attractions. Tanglewood and other Berkshire attractions are 45 minutes away or less. Swim in the quarry at Taghkanic Lake State Park, 20 minutes away. It features lifeguards, a bathhouse and more. Hudson Valley attractions such as FDR’s home, Eleanor Roosevelt’s cottage, Rhinebeck and Tivoli are a half-hour to an hour away, as is the Walkway Across the Hudson. Several of the grand Hudson Valley mansions are easily accessible.
  • Claire’s home is very spacious and comfortable. It worked perfectly for our group! Claire was a gracious host and a very good communicator. She was extremely helpful and responsive to our questions. We only wish we were here in the summer when we could take full advantage of the beautiful back porch and creek running behind the house!

  • claire was one of the most accommodating hosts i’ve had on airbnb. communicating with her was very east and quick to respond. she checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed and if we had any questions. her place was clean and had all the amenities we would need. it was a very peaceful, relaxing getaway for us. the sound of the creek, gas fireplace, and the screened in porch were my favorite parts of the house. our dog loved it as well and she even provided a long leash for us to let him walk around the back. thank you again for letting us stay. we sure would love to stay again in the future. also for those using waze to get to the place — the coordinates she gives you allows for you to not get lost. waze landed me in the middle of a farm when putting in the address lol

  • Claire’s home is a delightful place to spend a weekend away from the craziness of NYC. Instead of people everywhere, there’s a babbling creek and a hammock. Instead of a cramped apartment, there’s a spacious and relaxing home. And instead of everything being a little more complicated than it needs to be, Claire offered quick and thoughtful support before and during our stay. Stay here if you can!

    Paul2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This house is great! We especially loved the screen porch and hammock at the back of the house. Super clean as well. Thanks!

  • My daughter and i spent a few days in August and really enjoyed I asked her to write this review: This creek-side heaven truly brought the outdoors in. The screened in porch was our favorite part of the house! Laying in the hammock and spending the hours looking at the beautiful creek was great. We loved eating our meals there and the nice grill was perfect for outdoor cooking. The house itself is spacious and had plenty of room for us to spread out. We suggest to leave the upstairs AC on in the height of the summer - that helps nicely to cool down the place. The location was nice, close to Bish Bash Falls, a beautiful nature reserve and other hiking. Our dog was supper excited the whole time. Clair was super responsive and truly pet-friendly! Making smores in the fire-pit at night - priceless!

  • We had such a wonderful weekend staying here! Quick drive to downtown Hudson, but totally calm and relaxing. From the very chic living space (upscale and beautiful but very comfortable furnishings, sky high ceilings, wood beams) to the multiple outdoor spaces (upstairs deck overlooking the pond, yard, porch) this is an ideal spot for taking a deep breath and really recharging. Couldn’t have asked for better.

  • One of my favorites ever! The home is stunning with exceptional architectural and interior design, artwork, and landscaping.

  • This barn home is one of the most memorable airbnb stay we have had. The place is very stylish yet still make you feel at home. It is very new and sparkly clean. My family spent the most relaxing weekend there. One night we bought some food and enjoyed a movie night in. The house is very well equipped with all the amenities we need for a quality weekend: smart TV with netflix, the huge kitchen with all the utensils and cooking tools. The little garden and a pond outside the house are also a nice touch to our weekend getaway. The house is close to everywhere we were planning to go- a short drive to the city center of Hudson, where you can walk around the cute small shops and find great restaurants, fruit farms around Ghent and Germantown. A very strategic location where you're secluded to enjoy the nature and peaceful vibe but close enough to where the action is. Highly recommended!
