**NEW BOILER FITTED OCT 2019** Our house has been lovingly hand made using reclaimed materials and a unique, inventive design. We have an open fire in the living area to keep you cosy and in the winter evenings Outside we have a large garden space with multiple seating areas and a BBQ for those long summer nights Our home is perfect for a cosy romantic getaway, a catch-up with old friends or for a family treehouse adventure, kidds love it! We allow dogs but charge £10 per dog that stays 😊
Home of the designer builder of the solar showers and recycling ‘Reclaimator’ at Glastonbury from late 1980’s and first ‘Green Gatherings’ Passive solar designed for natural winter heating/summer cooling and a TMSthermalstore Our Beautiful Eco-Home, nestled in the treetops of Three Cliffs Bay, will tantalize your senses and make you feel OH so at home. Hand made from logs and recycled materials - There is love in the walls. Designed to maximise internal space but minimise the external (for energy reasons) – Is truly like an eco ‘tardis’ The house is 4+ bedroom, however not in the conventional sense - Two bedrooms are on upper mezzanines (hence the 4 dbl beds) and the 5th bed is a single in a cozy annexe snug. Be aware that the house is open plan and privacy limited - so if you are all on holiday 'together' as a group - one big family, then Treetops is perfect! Just let the tree trunks and flickering flames from the open fire sparkle the earth pigment lime washed walls to create a timeless atmosphere! Space - I lived here happily with my partner and two kids for many years, and we have even had groups of 10+ people stay. Kitchen - recently refurbished, open-plan so you are all together, with fridge, toaster, kettle and a new oven & hob (2019) - enough equipment to cook up delicious dinners! Bathroom - shower with water heated from solar, wood or gas. Cosy & homely, and perfect to wash the sand off beachy feet. Bedrooms - Two downstairs bedrooms, both sunny and bright, with curved hand carved walls and beautiful wood. Two mezzanines, one alice-in-wonderland, up a spiral staircase, which kids absolutely love. The other over-looking the sitting area, for more responsible monkeys, and a grand view of all that is going on. Outdoor - There is a open patio with a large table, a barbeque, outdoor fire pit, and large outdoor sink..perfect for washing wetsuits! Also surfboard storage, padlock points for bikes (cable type locks needed) and covered places to drip dry wetsuits & clothes. The garden sweeps upwards over terraces, spaces for yoga, apple trees and paths of sea shells. Our home makes a beautiful romantic getaway for couples, wine in hand, logs crackling on the fire and with no disturbances. For families, Treetops is a weird and wonderful adventure house, children love the magic of the mezzanines, the tree trunks running through the house and the excitement of the open fire, more communal than televisions! The open plan space allows for a real sense of togetherness. It is also wonderful for groups of friends meeting to catch up and have a good time! However we must add that we are not the house to use for a wild party as we must respect our neighbours. Sound travels to their house quite easily so noise must be kept to a minimum during the night. I.e. no loud music... Sorry!!
Treetops is more or less as close as you can get by car to Three Cliffs Bay. You can walk to the famous Pennard castle with it's glorious sunset views over the river and beach, within 5 minutes. The beach is then a further ten minutes from there. Around the corner is another beautiful beach, Pobbles. By car you can quickly and easily access all of Gower's award winning beaches. Treetops is on Sandy Lane, famous for it's hippy vibes, open minded and down to earth people, its green spaces and quirky hand built homes. It is a special place, famous to many people, and a real getaway from the hustle and bustle of normal life. An experience in itself! Nearby are farmers markets, the busy fishing village of Mumbles, with many shops, cafe's and restaurants, and the Gower Heritage Centre. Pubs are within walking distance (one only 5 minutes away, perfect!) Padlock points for bikes (cable type locks needed)

You’ll have a bedroom, ensuite shower room and your own private separate kitchenette in our colourful Californian style bungalow. Both rooms lead off the front door which we don’t use so you don’t have to enter the main part of the house unless you wish to. We are in a convenient & quiet location for visiting Mumbles, Gower and Swansea; it’s 5 min walk from beach & coast path, 10 min from shops, cafes & bars of Mumbles & 10 min drive to the Uni. Free Parking next to house.
You’ll be staying in a cosy bedroom with a very comfortable double bed and a private ensuite shower room concealed behind a mirrored door. The chairs and headboard are upholstered in Caroline’s own textile designs and one wall of the room is taken up by fitted wardrobes which you can use to store your luggage and clothes in during your stay. We have recently installed a separate private kitchenette with a sink, fridge, kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery opposite the bedroom. It’s fully functional but it’s a work in progress as I take the time in between hosting to hand decorate the walls! Both the bedroom and kitchenette are at the front of the house next to the front door. We don’t use the front door and to give you more privacy we keep the inner door to the main house closed. As some guests have commented its like having your own private suite! You’ll have your own set of keys and you don’t need to enter the main house unless you wish to sit in the garden. Our property was built by an architect as his own home in the 1960's. He’d spent some time in California and the design and layout is inspired by a Californian bungalow, the type you see in a David Hockney painting! It is built around an outdoor swimming pool which takes up most of the garden and the south facing verandah gets so hot in the summer sun that we grow our own grapes. You’re welcome to sit in the garden. Please note that the pool is not fenced off so the property is not suitable for very young children. The house has been featured in many publications - as a progressive project during and shortly after it's construction and more recently for it's beautiful setting and unusual and colourful interior. It was also in an article entitled 'Airbnb in Wales: 17 of the most beautiful, quirky and interesting places you can stay' Our hosting experience was published in the Airbnb UK Insight report 2018. We also have another ensuite bedroom in our house on Airbnb which is occasionally available. It’s called ‘Artists studio with en-suite nr beach and village’ This is the link https://www.airbnb.com/h/californiainwales
If you want a few days to relax, walk, eat, drink and leave your car, the beaches, coastal path, castle and village of Mumbles are all close by. We are in a convenient location on a very quiet road road with easy access to the amenities of the area. Turn left out of the front door and it takes 5-10 minutes to walk to Rotherslade Beach which is sandy and pebbly with a cafe serving breakfast, lunch and coffee all day. 5 minutes walk round the corner to the right is Langland Bay which is a larger sandy beach, popular with surfers and paddle boarders. It is renowned for it's beach huts, palm trees and Surfside cafe on the beach. There is also a good restaurant, Langland Brasserie, at the far end which has an outside deck and is great to sit outside on a warm summers evening. If you continue on the coastal path, it'll take you about 40 mins to walk from Langland to Caswell beach where there is another cafe on the beach. If you're lucky you may see some seals on the way! Turn right out of the front door and within 10 minutes you'll be in Mumbles with a good selection of shops, cafes, bars, Oystermouth Castle, and Joes Ice Cream. The closest access to the coastal path is at Rotherslade Beach from where you can walk around the Gower Peninsula, taking in Caswell, Oxwich, Rhossili and Llangennith. If you have less time you can walk the cliff path in the opposite direction and head towards Mumbles, taking in the Lighthouse, pier and lifeboat house on the way. There is a list of restaurants, cafes and bars in your room along with plenty of maps and information on the area and suggestions of where to visit. If you fancy surfing we can recommend the Progress Surf School in LLangennith which provides all the equipment and lessons for groups and individuals. If you are staying to visit Swansea University or Singleton Hospital the walk along the prom will take about 40 mins or 10 mins in the car.
  • We had a fantastic stay! Lovely place, exactly as described. The bedroom was a good size and well presented. The kitchenette had a fridge, kettle and toaster (plus tea bags/coffee etc) and there was ample parking. Everything was very clean and the host was really knowledgeable about the local area, giving us plenty of tips. All in all a 5 star experience.

  • Caroline and Brian's place is so lovely. I felt safe and at home and the house is so beautifully and uniquely decorated. They were so hospitable and welcoming, truly lovely people. We stayed in March for only 1 night and the only negative is that we couldn't stay longer! Rotherslade beach is gorgeous and a short walk from the house, there is a direct bus into Swansea just outside of the house and you can walk easily into Mumbles - the location is perfect!! Thank you so much Caroline and Brian, we hope to be back soon!

  • We came slightly later than we had originally said and were still met warmly, Andrew had already put on the stove so we arrived into a wonderful warm space. We were soaking wet coming from a walk in storm Dennis so we were especially grateful for this! We were presented with some utterly delicious home cooked bread and shown the amenities and left to it. The cabin is gorgeous, comfortable and was warm enough to dry us and beat our chills in no time. Lovely hosts and a gorgeous space.

    Luke2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The hut is immaculately clean and cosy. Every detail is perfect. It's a lovely quirky space, perfect for couples! We would have happily stayed longer, one night just wasn't enough. We were greeted warmly on arrival and even given the most delicious homemade bread which we enjoyed later with butter and jam. The cabin smells wonderful! It's been lovingly decorated and looked after. There is a pub across the road, no more than 2 minutes walking, and plenty of public footpaths nearby. I would highly recommend!

    Chloe2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Cannot express how amazing this place is! Me and my partner have just spent the weekend here and loved every minute! The cabin itself is stunning , full of charm with lots of little thoughtful touches. Homemade bread on arrival was so tasty! The bed is extremely comfortable and we both had the best nights sleep! Everything you could possibly need and more. We will definitely be returning to this little gem!

  • We loved our stay in this cute and cosy hut after a long days cycle. The log burner kept us warm all night in frosty January, and the homemade bread was delicious! We look forward to staying again in the summer, to enjoy sitting outside the hut on the decking.

Lovely, light and airy room on the second floor of our Victorian town house. The accommodation provides total privacy for guests with en-suite shower room, fridge, microwave, dishes, cutlery and tea/coffee making facilities. (Drinking water from bathroom tap). The price shown is for the room with either one or two guests. Breakfast is not included but there are several breakfast cafes within 2 minutes walk plus grocery shops, restaurants and takeaways. Beach 4 minutes walk.
Huge double bedroom with en-suite We have a very attractive, light and airy bedroom in the attic of our Victorian House in Swansea, Wales. The room has lots of character, with wooden floors and exposed beams. It is a self-contained floor. Guests enter through the front door and go straight up the stairs to the room, which gives a considerable degree of privacy, peace and comfort. The room is for one or two adults only and we have no facilities for babies or children. The room has a kingsize bed, sofa, TV, microwave, kettle, fridge and tea and coffee. There are four, inexpensive breakfast cafes within 2 minutes walk. (Sorry I don't do breakfast) There is an ensuite shower room and excellent Wifi. Bedlinen and towels are provided. Central heating. On road parking if you have a car, or public transport two minutes away if you don't. As this is a city centre location there are some parking restrictions on St. Helens Avenue. There is, however, also plenty of unrestricted parking in our street so you will not have a problem finding a space. Location We are in a great location within walking distance of all Swansea's amenities, including the University. The area is home to many students in term time. It is a young, vibrant and very safe and friendly part of Swansea but don't expect posh or swanky! It is 4 minute walk to the beautiful, sandy beach and 10 minutes to the town centre. It's a 10 minute drive or bus ride to the Gower peninsula and some of the UK's best surfing beaches. It is a 2 minute walk to bars and restaurants: where you can get everything from a full Welsh breakfast to a Chinese, Indian, French or Middle Eastern dinner. There is a really good theatre 10 minutes walk. There is a water sports centre on the beach where you can learn kite surfing and paddle boarding. We are 1 minute from Wales's best ice cream parlour - Joe's - and fish and chips and pizza take aways. We are about 15 minutes walk from Swansea Leisure Centre and the Marina and this is another area where there are plenty of cafes and bars and also the Dylan Thomas Theatre. This is also the site of the National Waterfront Museum.. There is a Boating Lake on the seafront and Crazy Golf. There are cycle paths along the seafront (National Cycle Path 43 on the seafront is a 5 minute walk) and you can hire a bike 2 minutes walk from our front door. We are also on the Wales coastal path, which now goes right around the country. There is also the lovely Singleton Park with it's ornamental gardens. We are 3 miles from the seaside resort of Mumbles - a bus ride away, but it's also possible to walk there, along the sea front. There is a bus stop just round the corner with buses to Gower peninsula, the hospital and the university.
Young, vibrant, multi-cultural neighbourhood with lots of student accommodation, pubs, restaurants and things to do and see. There are some wonderful Asian shops selling food from all over the world. It is very safe and friendly but not what most people would call smart!
  • Lovely room and excellent facilities great value and great location for a city break.

  • Sue’s place is a stylish, comfortable and sparkling clean attic with private shower facilities, besides it’s truly well located, with less than 10 minutes walk to city centre. Totally worth it!

  • We had a brilliant stay, it was as beautiful in reality as in the pictures. Everything was exactly as described. The place was so well equipped - it was just perfect. Carwyn was on hand for queries throughout our stay and beforehand. Can’t recommend it enough!

    Emma2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent house and location. Was set up perfectly for our group of 14. Plenty of room to cook and dine together. Really close to the beach and coastal path but also a short walk to the mumbles so no need to use the car.

    Kris2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place

    Sarah2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We have booked Carwyn’s place for New Years getaway with kids and friends (15 of us all together) and we had fantastic time. Location, facilities and communication with the host was excellent. We were looking for somewhere where we can all fit and be comfortable with all the toddlers and babies and Carwyn’s place was just perfect for that. There is a beautiful beach near by and you can walk to town in 10 minutes. All in all we would highly recommend.

    Eva2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • I booked the house for 2 nights for a surprise party with friends in November. The house is very spacious and comfortable and within minutes of the beach. We all wanted to stay more, it is very comfortable inside and there is plenty to explore outside. It is obvious that much attention has gone in creating a place of such high standard and with a small living area upstairs a large group of 15 can stay for longer without being on top of each other. I have contacted the host to highlight a few things that needed attention in the kitchen as it is probably the most used room in the house and was told that all will be addressed shortly. I highly recommend Langland place.

  • Great place for a family gathering. Plenty of space. Usually a guest house, the whole house can be booked. We were 13 including kids. Only downside was lack of twin beds for the kids on the top floor - it just gets a bit awkward with teenagers, but we managed. Other than that, the house is great, hosts are good. They suggested Chai Deli for catering, who did a great job for us. Overall, highly recommend

    Charles2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • What an incredible place. Perfect for big group catch up and families. The beach is just a stroll away. The whole house is very stylishly decorated as for the kids room on the top floor they loved it. Thanks for such a wonderful weekend. We need to get our heads together and get next years weekend booked in already!

It's as enjoyable to explore the beautiful Welsh countryside nearby on a sunny day, as it is to snuggle up inside on a rainy day in front of the fireplace and listen to the rain pound the glass roof windows. Peter was very helpful with his tips of the local places and activities but otherwise allowed us our privacy which is greatly appreciated.

    Cristian2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • I wouldnt hesitate to book here. Incredible value for a home from home stay. Even better with a log fire! Thoughtful touches/provisions and a great nights sleep. Fantastic!

    Natasha2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Peter's place was amazing and the pictures really don't do it justice. Super easy to self-checkin and the cottage had everything you'd need to get started. We did a few of the walks around the local area, and being so close to caves, waterfalls and beaches - we found the 4 days flew by. 5/5!

    Chris2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Peter was an excellent host & his place was well situated. We took walks from the door & also a couple of trips to the coast & caves. The place was lovely, clean, cosy & comfortable with plenty of local information.

My place is close to Waterfalls, caves and mountains with fantastic walking. It is just a 2 minute walk from Porth Yr Ogof Caves, and 2 minutes from the start famous Four Waterfalls Walk. You’ll love my place because of the comfy bed, the cosiness, the kitchen and the stunning location. My place is great for couples. The property is a larger than average shepherds hut (21 feet long) with underfloor heating, log burner and it is insulated with lambs wool. This is Glamping at it's best!
The hut is warm and cosy with a very comfortable king size bed and luxurious bedding . A starter kit for the woodburner will be provided.
The hut is situated in the stunning Brecon Beacons national park right in the heart of waterfall country . The small village of Ystradfellte is a 5 minute drive or a 10 minute walk . Pen y Fan the highest peak in the National Park short drive away . Porth Yr Ogof the largest and most impressive cave entrance in the National Park is literally on the doorstep . Right on the four waterfalls walk .There is a pub that serves food (dog and walker friendly )in the village. There are lots of other pubs a short drive away some details and recommendations provided on booking. There are no shops , supermarkets etc in the immediate vicinity .
  • Beautiful shepherds hut. Great location. Lots of things to see and do nearby. Would definitely recommend

    Kiri2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our stay over the weekend, wish it could of been longer. The cabin was immaculately clean and we were plenty warm with the log burner and electric heaters. The bed was also a bonus as it was extremely comfy. Cooking facilities are basic but there are a decent amount of places to eat out nearby. The four waterfalls walk is definitely worth it and there are plenty of other walks nearby as well that will keep you occupied for a weekend or possibly even longer. We will definitely be coming back for summer. Couldn’t recommend this place anymore.

    Toby2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic little place to stay. Just perfect for what we wanted for a night away in the Brecon Beacons. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and just as described. Contact with the host (Lucia) was very efficient and also gave some great recommendations for the local area. Four waterfalls walk is close by and definitely worth doing if staying here!

    Damian2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most perfect stay here for a long weekend, couldn’t recommend it more highly! ❤️ Lucia gave us lots of info on the best places to walk and eat, as well as easy to follow instructions on how to find the hut, which helped massively. The hut itself is perfect - so clean and cosy, and I can imagine it would be as lovely in summer when you can sit out on the decking, as it is in February cosied up inside with the log burner lit! It was a welcome retreat after three long days walking. The location is stunning... the four waterfalls walk is right on your doorstep, and we also did Pen y Fan & Corn Du (15 mins drive), and the Llyn y Fan Fach & Llyn y Fan Fawr lakes and surrounded mountains. We do lots of walking and I can honestly say I’ve never seen such breathtaking views as we did on that walk! We were so lucky with the weather too, gorgeous sunny days, with lots of snow on the tops which made it even more special! We had an amazing meal at the Red Lion in Penderyn, and joined in the pub quiz at the Old White Horse in Pontneddfechan, where the locals were super welcoming and friendly 🥰 There is no wifi or mobile phone signal at the hut (or in surrounding areas), which forces you to stop staring at your phone - something I definitely needed! I would say to make sure you plan what you’d like to do before you arrive, because you can’t google things easily, and also download offline maps on google maps so you don’t get lost on the crazy country roads! We took board games and films in case the weather was bad, and there is also a selection of DVD’s in the hut. I can see why Lucia’s place is always booked up, it’s amazing!

    Jessica2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • The shepherds hut is a cute and ohhhh so cosy place to stay .The start of the Four waterfall walk is two minutes away from Lucias’s property so another big bonus for its location .The property is spotlessly clean, and we received a big warm welcome .A beautiful place to wake up and hear the river and birds singing .

    Sylvia2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderfully remote and yet still very much accessible. Well located to explore the great outdoors of the Brecon Beacons. Equally charming indoors, particularly when the storms arrived, with plenty of firewood and dvds to keep you occupied. A great bonus being right at the start of the Waterfalls trail too.

    Michael2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect, thank you

    Joel2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The hut has the comfiest bed and the loveliest feel about it. Even though a storm scuppered some of our walking plans we had a great weekend here. The village pub-just a short walk away-is super friendly with good food. Lucia and Paul were great hosts.

A spacious south facing bedroom with lovely pasture and hillside views. There is a double bed with king size duvet and plenty of storage and easy chairs. The bathroom is next to the bedroom. Guests have use of kitchen facilities and a Sitting Room with open fireplace and TV. This is a small farm with a herd of Native breed cattle together with a small herd of Blonde cattle. Lots of geese ducks and chickens that provide a breakfast egg if you desire! I also have two great dogs Lexi and Maisie
There is a bathroom for the use of Guests and a Shower Room on the ground floor. Full use of kitchen/living room facilities, dining room and small Sitting Room with open fireplace. TV and WiFi. The patio and garden is fully available together with ample off road private parking
There are lots of footpaths nearby and I am within 1/2 hour of the Gower coast, the famous Neath Valley Waterfalls including the National Trust Aberdulais Falls (within 10 minutes), Afan Argoed cycle trail, the Brecon Beacons National Park, Danyrogof Show Caves, the Botanic Garden of Wales and Aberglasney Garden. Lots of Leisure centres nearby and for shopaholics the cities of Swansea and Cardiff within an easy drive.

  • Amazing value for money in a lovely location

    Huw2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jonathan's place is highly recommended especially if you love animals. I had a fantastic time with his dogs and cats. We also enjoyed feeding his geese and ducks. Lexi, the dog, is the sweetest and my most favorite. The dogs are house-trained and very friendly. The property is situated next to the stream and the countryside scenery is splendid. So this place is perfect if you want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Jonathan, the host, is very hospitable. Sue, the caretaker, is lovely and accommodating. We will definitely stay there again in the future.

    Ivy2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely room, no problems at all more than happy to recommend to anyone.

    Jeffrey2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Jonathan‘s house for four nights and used it as a starting point for discovering South Wales. You can easily reach Cardiff, Swansea and the Brecon Beacons National Park. The house is full of lovely details and there was always a fully prepared breakfast which we really enjoyed! Jonathan was always supportive and recommended lovely places to visit. Thank you again so much for the warm hospitality of making our stay so wonderful! We would love to come back soon!

  • A wonderful cosy, home, with so much character. Perfect for anyone who likes animals. Jonathan and Sue made me feel very welcome, as did the other guests. The breakfast was lovely, too. There are lovely walks from the house and also many other areas of great beauty and interest locally. It was a most relaxing and enjoyable stay.

  • We had a wonderful stay in the Birdbox for new year. Phil went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and has created a really cosy pod that actually seems very spacious! The bed is very comfortable, the pillows and duvet were great quality and we slept like logs for 8 hours! Pontardawe is a lovely place too and this was the perfect getaway from the city for us to spend the evening. We are 100% coming back, but for longer!

The cottage was spotless, excellent information provided on local and wider area things to do, beds were all comfy, fully equipped kitchen, free wifi, the list goes on. We all had a great time and would definitely recommend Nant Cottage to anyone who is looking for a comfortable and perfect place to stay in South Wales. It is perfectly located for Brecon Beacons, the waterfalls, castles etc...

  • Everything was outstanding. It was perfect for a quick get away. Everything was spotless and we had the whole downstairs to ourselves which was really nice. There is also a map with stickers for people to show where they’ve come from all over the world which I thought was a really nice touch! However, me and my partner both forgot toothpaste so my suggestion would be to supply toiletries like toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner etc. for forgetful people like us!!

  • Great place to stay, my room was accurately described, comfortable, private & quiet being at the back of the building. Shower & loo on each floor were clean. Great to have use of the well equipped kitchen with laundry facilities and downstairs lounge area. Lovely relaxed feeling of independence than if I was staying in a B&B with hosts and rigid house rules etc I’m used to booking Travelodge but this little gem will get my business again and again. Thank you Nicola for a lovely stay.

The fire kept us lovely and warm and we enjoyed the views of the beautiful wild garden with birds in the trees right outside our windows and Olivers chickens! Lovely added touches of games and books, especially enjoyed the one about the life of a honeybee! Would definitely recommend!

  • Claire and Sian were wonderful hosts, my experience of staying with them was completely positive. The bedroom window opens to wonderful views. Penclawdd is well situated for exploring both Swansea and the western Gower villages, and, provided that there is a bus (and there are some!), it promises great outdoorsy days.

  • Perfect place for an overnighter if you're visiting the Gower or Swansea. Don't trust your satnav to find it however as it'll take you up a steep narrow dead end 200 yds away! Very friendly hosts were most welcoming & hospitable.

  • Lovely log cabin. Amazing views. Very peaceful. Fantastic hosts.

    Kevin2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy warm log cabin with stunning views of the Welsh valleys. Bedrooms good sizes and comfortable beds. Kitchen fully equipped and was nice to have basics like tea and coffee and cooking oil there. There is no garden as such as it’s set into a hill but I imagine that it’s lovely to use the patio furniture and look over the valleys and at all the different birds in the summer months. Recommend three cliffs beach - was stunning. Swansea is a 25 min drive if you want to go into a town. Local pub walkable.

    Anna2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cosy dog friendly place with lovely walks. This place is brilliant for nice walks, local pub and also great to just lock yourself away for a cosy family weekend.

  • We had the best New Year’s Eve stay with 4 children and a dog. So much space. Amazing views. Everything you need is in the lodge. Bob was a fantastic host and very helpful. We drove 4 hours to get to the lodge and would do it again as it was just a fantastic trip and excellent value for money!!

    Jade2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • The lodge was well situated, in striking distance of a lot of beautiful walks and stunning coastline. The view from the balcony was amazing. Sufficient parking for three cars. The lodge was well equipped, warm & comfortable and well laid out with a communal lounge / dining / kitchen area - an ideal social setup. Bob our host was prompt and very helpful! Do note that bedrooms are double bed + single; twin beds; and bunk beds for children.

  • Bob and Linda are wonderful hosts. They were quick with their responses and are very understanding. The place was spotless and was wonderfully decorated. The location is a bit tricky to find on GPS but was Bob left us with plenty of instructions and even was standing outside in the rain to receive us. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

    Jag2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • The lodge is in a great location and has a really nice view over the valley. Bob and Linda were excellent hosts and very welcoming. The lodge was very clean and there was plenty of room for 6 adults. The kitchen was clean and had everything needed to cook for ourselves. We would highly recommend to anyone

  • Leah and Lee are amazing 10 star hosts, they went out of their way to accommodate our needs! We stayed for 7 nights over the Christmas period and had such a lovely relaxing time...the cottage is a true home away from home with all the luxuries one can ask for. It certainly exceeded our expectations and honesty said, Leah and Lee were so far the best hosts we’ve ever had here on Airbnb and their place was one of the nicest we’ve stayed in. I couldn’t recommend them enough! We are planning on returning in the summer to discover all that this area has to offer including the famous Welsh beaches we didn’t get to see this time round. Thank you again and again for the best Christmas holiday!! :)

The street is very peaceful and has some residential only and some free parking... I parked right at the front of the house. I will say it’s definitely great value for money and I will stay here again. Oh I also discovered that Sofia works where I did my placement few years back.

This is a fairly new 4 bedroom house located just on the outskirts of Neath. Neath is surrounded by beautiful Welsh countryside (parks, hills, walks and mountain bike tracks). Neath is only 10 minutes away from Swansea and the famous 'Mumbles'. Of interest to those in the medical profession we are very close (3 miles) to the Neath, Port Talbot general hospital.
A modern 4 bedroom detached house with parking space for 3 cars. You will have your own room and private bathroom. Breakfast is available on a self help basis and is included in the price.
This is a very quiet and peaceful location with very friendly neighbours.

Fully modernised 2 bedroom cottage on the edge of the lovely village of Resolven, with parking for 2 cars and great hillside views. It is ideally placed for local amenities for those usual necessities such as corner shops and takeaways, but still close to the busy centres of Neath and Swansea and also activity opportunities such as the many hiking trails in Brecon, expanses of glorious beaches and gorge walks to admire the spectacular waterfalls.
The cottage is fully self-contained with all necessary facilities including essential kitchen accessories. Please note that the price is per person per night, but is a flat rate throughout the year.
Resolven is in the heart of waterfall country and our cottage is a short walk from Melincourt waterfall along a picturesque riverside gorge.. Resolven has all the essentials:- a post office, 2 corner shops, Chinese and Indian take-aways, an excellent ‘chippy’ and a vibrant Baptist church. All are within a 10 minute walk of our cottage. Our nearest beach is Aberavon, a 20 min drive, where you can enjoy a coffee or snack and enjoy the sandy beach. Neath is a 10 min drive away, boasting supermarkets, fuel, an indoor market and a shopping centre. Swansea, 20 mins away offers theatre, cinema, various shopping centres, restaurants and of course the Mumbles, Three Cliffs Bay is a beautiful place for walking as well as the Gower, designated area of outstanding natural beauty. Brecon, Monmouth and Caerphilly as well as many other places can be visited within a short drive. It is a great place to explore and take part in different activities.
  • Great little place to stay, I was using it as a base while working in the area, I would certainley consider it in summer for a holiday. Very clean tidy cottage in a quiet spot.
