Sandy's first and only Tiny House! Although this home is located just a mile from Hwy 26 within Sandy's city limits, it's located on a private 23 acres, so you'll feel completely secluded. This makes it the perfect place to stay while visiting the Mt. Hood area. The tiny house was built to capture the amazing view of Mt. Hood. The home was designed around a moving window wall system that completely opens to the outdoors allowing for one of the best views of Mt. Hood. We hope you enjoy!!!
This is the first and only Tiny house in the Sandy area! A unique cabin feel made with natural cedar siding, reclaimed hardwood floors and doors, live edge counters, and beautiful craftsman handiwork throughout. There is no place like it!!
This beautiful tiny house is located in Sandy city limits with restaurants and stores nearby, but on a remote 23 acres. 30 minutes from Mt. Hood and skiing. 10 minutes from world class hiking/mountain biking. Also only 40 minutes to downtown Portland and PDX airport. The perfect in between location for outdoorsy adventure and city glam! We live just a mile off highway 26 but at the end of a short private road out on a bluff. It is very remote and extremely quite!!!
  • What a find! This tiny house was the perfect, peaceful, scenic, stylish weekend escape. Stunning Mt Hood view. Great hosts. Highly recommended.

  • The tiny house is a wonderful place to stay. It’s not too far from Portland as well and it has a beautiful view!

  • If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. This is the perfect house for a couple looking to getaway for a few days. Kim is a wonderful hostess. She gave us great info on local restaurants and things to do. She was always timely in communication and made check-in/out extremely easy. The house itself was spotless and beautiful inside. The view is breathtaking of course, and the fireplace completes the cabin vibe. I really hope we make it back here sometime in the future.

    Tracey2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing view and solitude. Quiet and very nice and cozy. A real jewel in the AirBnB experience. It fed my soul.

    Greg2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful spot to slow down and enjoy an incredible view. We packed our own meals and cooked on the kitchenette. A short drive dropped us up on mt hood for a liesurely walk around trillium lake.

  • Nice stay - easy to get in and out of the place, very cool view, decorations were really cute, accurate description on listing!

The Sandy River Hideaway is a Self-check-in modern cottage tucked away within the popular Timberline Rim neighborhood. This spacious 240 sq ft one-bedroom has its own private drive, fenced-in backyard, and a beautiful Mountain View (with no cleaning fees.) Timberline Rim Recreation club amenities are included. It's also conveniently located across the street from the Sandy River Beach access. Skiing attractions such as Timberline Lodge is within a short drive. Sandy Ridge Trail is 2 miles away.
Within this 240 sq ft cottage, two guests can enjoy a queen size Tempurpedic bed, hotel type amenities such as a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker, large walk-in shower, and (New) Smart TV with Netflix for the duration of their stay. Think hotel room in the woods, not a full-service cabin. There is also a sleeping loft that can accommodate a third, additional guest. Since this vacation rental is suited for those wishing to get away and enjoy a short term holiday, there is no kitchen, which will relieve any expectations to clean dirty dishes or pick-up in any other capacity upon check-out. We have no check-out procedures. We want you to enjoy yourself as you would in a hotel, with the exception that you are staying in your own private cottage and not expected to share a common area with anyone. However, this house is not off the grid or miles from civilization; it is located within a neighborhood. It is also cleverly hidden from view off Sandy River Lane Road, tucked behind two homes. Let it be known, none of the neighboring houses can view the private backyard, which hosts its own Weber Grill, firepit with two Adirondack chairs, and soon-to-be swing or hammock to be enjoyed in the coming warm summer months. **There is a $15 cleaning fee per dog. If bringing a dog, please let me know upon booking.
Since this cottage is located across the street from the Sandy River Beach and trail access and is down the street from the Timberline Rim Recreation Club, guests can enjoy everything this community has to offer. These seasonal amenities include a tennis court, swimming pool, game room, and basketball court.
  • Such a treat! Lindsey’s place was the perfect getaway from the city, a breathe of fresh air quite literally. Check in was a breeze and we could go in an out as we pleased. It was close enough to drive up the mountain for some brews and views, and the fire pit was perfect ( her husband was kind enough to bring us some extra!) We brought our pup and she was such a happy girl to be able to enjoy the outdoors freely. It’s a cozy space and we were happy to cuddle on a mattress made in heaven. There were so many thoughtful touches. Places to hang things and stocked with the little things to enjoy our leftovers. We appreciate the hospitality and can’t wait to be back!

    Letty2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lindsey was an outstanding host with great insightful information .

    Kayla2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this place! Quaint, unique, and a perfect spot to spend the night. We were in Portland for our vacation, but wanted to stay closer to Mt Hood for a night in order to get to the slopes early. Lindsey's place fit the bill, and we really enjoyed our short stay.

    Katie2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Lindsey was great! Communication was fast and very helpful. My boyfriend and I asked if we could check in early to drop our things off so we didn’t have to hold it in the car while we adventured the mountain. Lindsey had the place cleaned up and accommodated us early, it was extremely helpful. The place was adorable, clean and perfect! I would definitely recommend staying here if you are going to be exploring Mount Hood :)

    Alyssa2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • This ‘lil Loft in the woods was perfect for my hubby and I. It was so comfortable and cozy. My hubby was able to take a quick nap on Saturday, before we went out for dinner at a local Pub near the mountain. ANd, on our 2nd day we were able to sleep in (and get sleep even with Daylight Savings!) and stop at a local coffee shop on our way to the mountain. It was such a special treat and honor to get to stay here, the price point was amazing. WE loved this spot!

    Jeanne2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lindsey’s cabin was a perfect place to relax after a long day of skiing! The space was very cute and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The backyard space looked like it would be very enjoyable in the summertime with outdoor seating and a fire pit. I would definitely recommend this cozy cabin to anyone looking for a place to stay near Mt. Hood.

    Britney2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We went snowshoeing for the day and stayed here afterwards. We really liked this little private cabin, it was very clean and cute, everything we needed to relax after a day playing in the snow. There were some very good restaurants nearby as well. This is a great value, stay here.

  • Such a great getaway! It was a very comfortable space for 4 adults. The jacuzzi was amazing and the house was very comfortable.

    Michaela2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time and would’ve stayed longer if we could. Thanks again!

    Michelle2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • This little cabin in the woods was a perfect getaway. My boyfriend and I traveled to mount hood for a few days and the cabin is close enough and easy enough to get to from there. The wood fire place and hot tub were great to use after hiking in the snow. We watched dvds since there was such a large selection. We only had one small issue regarding the shower / toilet system but they responded almost immediately to fix the issue. I would definitely recommend. A little hard to find at first because the address on google maps has you trying to drive through the woods but it was easy enough to find on our own without maps. I suggest not checking in the first time after dark as it gets very dark out there!

    Sarah2019-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is so CUTE and cozy! I felt right at home! The only thing that could have made our stay better is knowing before hand how close our neighbors were going to be (please update photos for future guests). Thanks for letting us stay in your amazing cabin! We loved the magical trail to the river through lush trees. (The river is not in your backyard though, its a walk but worth it!)

    Jewel2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute cabin in what feels like far into the woods. Hot tub was awesome and private and really nice to have everything in the kitchen for us to use. Would stay here again for sure.

  • This cozy little cabin was great for a winter getaway. The curtains black out the bedroom for a very good sleep, the space heaters are essential and definitely recommend keeping the fire going - though you may want to bring your own paper and matches. Great stove, nice tub, the hot tub was wonderful. WiFi strong

    Tressa2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay that was made possible by this amazing value, perfect location, exceptional hot tub, exact directions and ease of booking. I highly recommend you all book a stay !

    Serge2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is beautiful! A wonderful retreat tucked away in Zig Zag with a fireplace, hot tub, and lovely kitchen. Everything you need to destress. It's nearby are some beautiful hiking trails. The hot tub here is a wonderful relaxing addition. The cabin is a tad on the colder side so bring some sweaters, but we loved curling up by the fire to warm up after a long hike. What a lovely retreat!

    Seth2019-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • we had a wonderful time, the hot tub was a godsend with that chilly weather. and our dog LOVED the big back yard. and we loooved how cozy and cute it all was. we’re hoping to make this trip happen more often.

  • This is a dream cabin in the woods. I felt like I was in a fairy tale the entire weekend.

    Traci2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this place. Perfect retreat from the busy city. Hot tub under the big trees on the porch was amazing. My husband and I loved playing games and listening to old school records on the awesome record player. Our dogs loved running around in the back yard (not fenced so we had to keep a close eye on them). It took us about 10 minutes to walk to the skyway bar and grill, which we did a couple of times. Love this place! We'll be back!

    Theresa2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful cozy cabin!! My partner and I became fiancés at sunset on a hiking trail and came back to a very welcoming, romantic, quiet, stylish cabin. Beautiful decor and a great location! ❤️💍😌

Quiet dead end road within walking distance to The Salmon River
  • Amazing place to stay. Secluded but just a mile from a great hiking trail by the Salmon River, super easy access to Mt Hood and Ntnl Forest trails, and a lovely cabin with everything you need. It was just my wife and I with our dog, but would be just as comfortable with another couple or a few others. The master bed was crazy comfortable, evenings in the hot tub were relaxing, and the early spring chill wasn’t bad with the woodstove going. Jana’s binder is full of trail maps and brochures of things to do in the area, the kitchen is plenty big enough to prepare meals, and our dog enjoyed open space in the yard. Would highly recommend and would stay again!

  • SUCH a great stay. I have a lot of great things to say, but I wrote a review already, and it got deleted as I was navigating the page. So this will be my second time writing this. The beds! Super comfy and warm. The wood fireplace is amazing as well. Perfect for cold nights. The hot tub was perfect for after trips to the snow nearby! The location is excellent. RIGHT next to the historic timberline lodge where filming for the shining took place. Again, there’s so much to say about the space but Long story short, you’ll just have to check it out for yourself. Highly recommended P.s. this was my first air bnb experience. And I’d say it was pretty good!

  • What a cozy and wonderful space. I love the layout and we all had a lovely time! Will definitely go back someday.

    Talia2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • It was a wonderful getaway, very close to some amazing hikes with incredible views. Hot tub felt great after a long day outside, and we ate at the local restaurants each night. Last night we had a nice fire and stayed cozy, it was a lovely trip.

    Mary2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Just a completely nice, solid place. Not a single thing wrong with it. Cozy, warm welcoming interior. Fireplace, hot tub and location all were great. Recommended.

    Elliott2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Jana's cabin was a great home base for some adventures around Mt. Hood. I stayed here with 3 girlfriends and we had more than enough room! We especially enjoyed the hot tub and lounging out in the living room. Thank you for having us!

    Rachael2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cabin, perfect for a family and close to everything. Clean and comfortable with cute decorations. Host was wonderful.

    Rachel2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to escape the city. We had hoped there would be snow but we were able to drive up to government camp to play in some. Lots of candles and cozy blankets. The beds were very comfortable. We’d definitely come back!

  • The place is cute and well equipped. The location is perfect and private and the hosts were very attentive and generous. [The area does have a power issue here and there but they made sure we were taken care of when the next morning the power turned off for a bit. It really didn't cause us any issues because we had such great hosts. ] I would definitely stay again. The privacy and perks definitely exceeded our expectations!

  • Super cozy and relaxing place. A wonderful weekend getaway. We enjoyed the fireplace, comfy coach, wilderness view from the window and the hot tub in the middle of the woods. I would recommend staying at least for two nights and a full day, one night is not enough to utilize the value of the place.

    Sinem2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Sylvia's cabin for two nights as a little get-away for my girlfriend's birthday and it was perfect for us. Only 20-25 minutes to snowboarding, an intimate little hot-tub under the trees, and a wood stove to cozy-up inside was all we were looking for and this was definitely the spot. Will be back when we need another retreat.

    Ed2020-02-27T00:00:00Z

This quintessential forest cabin is an idyllic, woodsy getaway for two — whether you’re seeking adventure on the mountain or hiding from your to-do list. We started renting The Hide & Seek in January, as it just emerged from a down-to-the-studs remodel with brand new appliances, furniture, and fixtures. See more photos on Instagram at #hideandseekcabin
**Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations. We also ask guests to either bring up all the food that you'll need, so that mountain grocery stores are adequately stocked for local residents, or support local restaurants that are still offering take-out.** Every detail of this sweet, cozy space has been updated and upgraded, while adhering loyally to its classic, vintage cabin roots. Its compact 500 sq. feet (read: it’s small!) have been designed for comfort. The scent of its original cedar walls surrounds. An efficient kitchen offers all the tools you'll need for your cabin-cooked repasts, including a gas range, Fisher Paykel dishwasher drawer, microwave, toaster oven, and fridge. Culinary endeavors are enhanced by handmade ceramics and quality linens. The cabin is warmed by a radiant floor heating system and modern Morso woodstove. Wool throws on the couch encourage cozy snuggling by the fire. The brand new bathroom has heated, artisan, Cle Tile concrete floors and even the toilet is extra special, featuring a Toto e-washlet. You'll also find a washer/dryer available for your use. Up the hand-carved staircase, you reach the bedroom with layers of linen sheets, pillows, and blankets enrobing a high quality, queen-size mattress that might tempt you away from all your plans for outdoor activities. Entertainment options abound: Urbanears WiFi speakers in the living room and bedroom allow you to stream your favorite music. A select collection of literature and games are on hand. A TV in the bedroom streams movie and news channels via Roku. And there’s, of course, reliable and super fast wifi. Notes: this cabin might not be suitable for young children and guests with mobility limitations. The stairs to the bedroom are open and steep! We leave that to your judgment. We also don’t allow pets. I have another listing that is very dog friendly (Little Yew Lodge) so feel free to check there if you’d like to bring animal-friends.
Ski resorts are 20-50 minutes away. Our favorite restaurants (Skyway Bar & Grill, Koya Kitchen, and Al Forno Pizzeria) are a 10-15 minute drive. Hiking surrounds!
  • We loved staying at this little gem in the woods! This is the cutest, coziest little cabin, with so many thoughtful touches. One of the most memorable stays I’ve had at an Airbnb. Highly recommend.

    Steve2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, tranquil place nestled in the woods. Wonderful amenities and I highly recommend this home.

    Chelsea2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful sensory wooded getaway! Rumpy back roads, private gated driveway, special porch and indoor lighting, sound of the nearby river, cedar walls smell, crackling warm fireplace, quality and fun to use cookware / dishes, plush natural organic linens / bed, heated bathroom tiles and bidet, modern yet rustic touches throughout. Comforts galore! Loved every minute.

    Pam2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • This sweet cabin is so stylish and comfortable. The hosts spared no expense on the touches. The bed is super comfy and the amenities are first class. We loved staying here, and felt totally off the grid yet still had city sophistication inside the cabin!

  • The cabin is absolutely fantastic! We loved all of the nice touches in each area. The bathroom window, shower, robes, washlet and soaps/lotions were a dream. The cookware in the kitchen was super nice, and the knives were quite sharp (never had that experience in an Airbnb anywhere). The living room, fireplace (awesome kindling!), comfy blankets and games were a treat. Lastly, the linen sheets were so nice and soft. This place is wonderful!

  • The cabin is beyond our expectation!! There are modern updates that have been skillfully interwoven in the vintage details. Upgraded dishwasher, heated toilet, handmade ceramics, organic essentials, heated floors, the list goes on and on. Rebecca has really tended to every detail and everything was thoughtfully prepared. We would definitely be back whenever we visit the area.

    Emily2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We did not want to leave! Authentic cabin feel with updated touches. Beautiful!

  • Rebecca’s cabin is thoughtfully and tastefully decorated. It’s filled with all the things you would need for a little getaway plus so much more. I highly recommend staying at the Hide & Seek. You will feel like you’re at the most luxurious private retreat!

Our cozy modern pet-friendly cabin has been remodeled top to bottom. It has an open floor plan and will comfortably sleep 4 people. There is a full sized bed located in the loft, plus two twin size sofa beds in the living room. Sandy Ridge Trail is right around the corner, Wildwood Park is just across the way, and Mt Hood is a short 15 minute drive. Close to some great Eats and Drinks.
The cabin is approximately 500 square feet, situated on .33 acres, in an older neighborhood of log cabins and homes. The back of the property is extremely private and overlooks a year round creek and lush forest. We have a well equipped small kitchen offering French Press Coffee, Olive Oil, Salt & Pepper. The cabin is equiped with Wifi, Bose Soundlink Speaker and Jotul Wood Stove. No TV and No Microwave. The space is very open. Privacy from your cabin mates is essentially limited to the bathroom. The sleeping loft is open to the kitchen below, and has an opening to living room. We have shades on the front of the house but have left the living room open to the beautiful forest in back. Our cabin has an open loft, ladders, and a wood stove. It may not be suitable for younger children. Please contact me with any questions.
  • Lovely little spot in the Mt Hood area! Quiet, super clean, and very cute space.

  • Amazing modern home!!! We absolutely loved our stay. It was crystal clean in a home that seems brand new. It was so nice to open the blinds in the morning and just let the serenity of the location fill you with peace. It had everything we needed and we would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

  • This place was our last stop on our “Oregon tour”. And I’m so happy that it was the last stop. This place is so serene we never left the compound. It will really take your breath away. Andy decorated the place very modern, clean and simple. We wish we lived in a place like this in real life. This spot is about 20-30 min away from Portland and we would stay here Again and again

    Malgorzata2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful place for a quiet getaway from the busyness of life. Great for a “stay-in” trip where you want to just sit and relax. Has a beautiful view that will leave you in awe. The space is well thought out and is very comfortable. It’s a “studio” with a separated bedroom and easy access to the washer and dryer in unit.

Relax and unwind in our custom built, one-of-kind cabin. The cabin is nestled up on a forested hill above our main cabin. It's sits on 4 acres of private wooded land, bordering Mt. Hood National Forest Land. A perfect getaway for couples looking to spend a romantic weekend in the woods or a home-base for those who are here to enjoy everything Mt. Hood has to offer. Hiking, fishing, skiing are only minutes away!
*** In light of the COVID-19 outbreak, we want to assure our guests of our extremely thorough cleaning regiment. All frequently touched surfaces (counters, doorknobs, switches, handles, toilets, remotes, etc) are cleaned with an EPA registered disinfectant and all linens/towels are washed in hot water.*** Carefully curated and thoughtfully designed, this little cabin is decorated with art and furniture from local artisans. The cabin has an open floor plan with an extra cozy sleeping loft equipped with a queen sized bed, comfy reading chair and a TV for watching movies. The living room has a comfortable plush sofa and perfect views while lounging by the wood-burning stove. The kitchenette offers you everything you need to dine-in — an electric range, toaster, and coffee maker. The outside space features a large outdoor fire pit with beautiful views of the forest and ZigZag mountain. For groups with three guests -- additional linens, pillows and blankets will be provided upon request for the sofa (not a pull-out, but comfy to sleep on -- great option for those traveling with children. We also have a twin size air mattress available upon request). Also, in the summer months, there is plenty of room to pitch a tent outdoors.
There are several lakes, rivers and hikes just a short drive away. We are less than 1 mile from the ZigZag and Sandy Rivers. The Salmon River Trail is one of my favorite hikes and it's only few miles down the road (it's also great spot for fishing, too). There are tons of hikes within a few miles and we are located right near the ZigZag Ranger Station where you can pick up free trail maps and get recommendations from the rangers of the best options for your daily adventure. We are very close to all your winter adventures -- skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing sledding and snow tubing. Ski Bowl only a short 10-15 minute drive down Highway 26 and Mt. Hood Meadows and Timberline Lodge are both about a 25 minute drive. If you are feeling up for a round of Golf, you can play 27 scenic holes of golf at the Resort at the Mountain or take a few hours to relax and rejuvenate at their full-service Spa. The Thriftway grocery store is just a mile down the road and there are also a handful of great restaurants nearby. Just across the highway is the Skyway Bar and Grill, well known for their tasty BBQ and Mac and Cheese -- they also have live music two or three times a week.
  • This little cabin was beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches. We were very cozy under blankets by the fire watching the snow fall through huge windows. Susan was very helpful as we figured out the wood stove! The kitchen had almost everything we needed to cook for a few days, and we got extra supplies easily from a nearby store. Would love to return!

    Ryan2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • If a cozy/romantic getaway is what you’re looking for, then absolutely look no further. Susan’s tiny cabin is everything you could ever ask for when looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of every day life. The cabin couldn’t be cleaner and is seemingly secluded from everything and anyone. The kitchen, though small, is perfect for cooking at home, and if you want to go out, there are plenty of options right down the road! (Wraptastic was a personal fav) We can’t say enough good things about the space Susan has created and would be so lucky to make a return trip.

Nestled among tall cedars, you'll find the Creekside Cozy Cabin a perfect place to relax and enjoy its calm surroundings. While there are neighbors on both sides of the cabin, you still get that country feel away from the city. We are 20 miles from PDX Airport and 21 miles from Downtown Portland, but the drive out to the cabin is worth every mile.
The kitchen is equipped with a full-sized refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster and Keurig coffee maker. When there is a chill in the air, guests may warm up the space using the wood stove in the living room. (We request it not be used during the dry summer months) There is a small back room off of the bedroom that is set up with a double bed. There is a Queen air bed that could be set up in the living room, or out on the deck during summer months under the stars. We think that the best part of the cabin is sitting on the deck listening to the sounds of rapids in the creek. It is a special place to sit in the morning with a good cup of coffee or to wind down at the end of the day.
There are friendly neighbors on either side of the Cabin. Please respect their privacy and keep noise levels down in the evening. Due to the small size of the driveway, parking is limited to two cars. Street parking is unavailable as the Cabin is located on a narrow road. While the path to the creek from the cabin is steep, there is a nice path that you can access from the road.
  • We will be back. The cabin was just what we were expecting and everyone was happy being there. I always enjoy sitting outside to eat when I can, even in the cold rain, and the seats were dry under the roof so I was able to put on my stocking cap and be out there. Best touch was the wood stove already going when we arrived.

To help protect the health of our guests, we are temporarily suspending spring reservations until the current situation related to covid-19 is resolved. At this moment, the entire state of Oregon has been asked to abide by the "stay home" guidelines. As soon health officials determine that we can all get back to work, school, and enjoying cozy places like Cedarwood, we will gladly welcome you. We know that a getaway to Cedarwood Cabin will be a welcome retreat!
This cute vintage 1922 cabin offers a perfect retreat or romantic getaway. Enjoy a relaxing cabin stay surrounded by trees, and fresh air. Stoke the woodstove and watch the fire, read, write, relax, and savor the simple life. Welcome to Cedarwood. For those who seek an authentic cabin experience, Cedarwood offers the rustic, historic, and simple. Think of it as stepping out of the modern. Hand-built and lovingly restored. If you love hand-crafted details, you'll fall in love with Cedarwood. A beautiful enamel woodstove is the centerpiece--with firewood provided! Practice your pioneer skills, get a fire going and tend it, and savor the reward. The queen-sized bed sleeps two comfortably. The futon couch folds down for an additional sleeping spot (about the size of a double bed). Two indoor sleeping bags and extra blankets provided for slumber party style sleeping (or forts). The kitchen is basic, but has tools to turn your groceries into great meals: a plug-in hot-plate and griddle (no oven), makes for classics like pasta dinners or hotcakes and omelet breakfasts. Microwave, coffee grinder, french press, and an assortment of bowls, dishes and utensils are at the ready. Or enjoy the nearby restaurants and brewpubs of Welches. The bathroom is an arm’s reach from the backdoor. It’s a quick step out, but inside is completely remodeled; you’ll find the subway tile shower, sink, toilet, towel cabinet, and built-in cedar shelves. There’s even a twist-timer wall heater for your convenience during your washroom time. For travelers accustomed to more modern accommodations, not to worry, you can fall in love here, too. But please know that this cabin, like all historic cabins, can get chilly in the morning, has simple cooking set up, and is by design a rustic and simple structure in the woods. (See details in “other things to note.”) Cedarwood is a magical place to slow down, unwind, unplug, relax. You won't find a TV, but you'll find fun books on hiking, wildflowers, and Mt Hood history. You'll find a cozy couch with soft blankets and hand-made pillows to read, to nap, to cuddle. Fall asleep to the gentle patter of rain.
Conveniently located just off of Mt Hood's main route, HWY 26, Cedarwood Cabin is less than 5 miles to Welches, 5-10 miles from some of the best trailheads, and 15-30 miles to the ski areas. You'll be in easy access to grocery store, brewpubs, coffee shop, gas station, liquor store, and ski rental shop. The cabin is one of a dozen or so other cabins and homes on a loop road. So there is no through traffic. You can see other homes from the cabin. You may see nieghbors walking their dogs. It’s a quiet, safe neighborhood, where folks keep an eye out for each other but also respect privacy.
  • Great cabin tucked away in the woods.

  • Beautiful, rustic escape.

    Lindsey2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful say at Ian's Cedarwood Cabin! The wood burning stove, lighting, and blankets all created a cozy atmosphere and made my birthday weekend very relaxing.

    Natalie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A cozy and quaint cabin experience. A perfect mountain getaway cabin. The cabin is small but relatively well stocked and laid out for a relaxing weekend. A good mixture of new and old, as the main heat source is a wood stove but there are electric space heaters to supplement the heat. The bathroom is modern, but you do need to step outside to get access to it. Ian is a fantastic host, and checked in with us regularly to make sure everything was to our satisfaction, which it was. I would have no hesitation to go back to Cedarwood and use it for a jumping off point for more adventures in the Mt. Hood wilderness, or just as a getaway from the bustle of the big city.

    Nate2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was a fun cabin to stay in. There were certain things about this particular rental that were intriguing. We wanted to stay somewhere unique and Cedarwood was a great fit! The simplicity of this rental was one of the draws for us. If you're looking for a place that is secluded and puts you "in the woods" this is a great pick!

    Adam2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I had a fabulous time at this quaint and rustic cabin. Being out amongst the trees really helped me relax. The host is very attentive, and everything is as described.

    Hilary2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Ian's Cedarwood cabin is full of vintage charm! The location is a perfect home base to explore all that Mt. Hood has to offer, and the thoughtful guidebook in the AirBnb will set you in pursuit of hidden gems. As someone who has grown up visiting Mt. Hood, it was a delight to have new recommendations for hidden hikes and waterfalls in the area - a wonderful value of staying in the cabin! The space itself is cozy and rustic, we loved coming home to light a fire in the woodstove to unwind and recharge after a busy day on the mountain. A gem, for sure!

Come stay in your own cozy rustic mini apartment, a little over 25 minutes from the Portland suburbs, 45 minutes from Downtown Portland. Our home is on 2 wooded acres. You'll have a private deck, private bathroom, private entrance, and private living space. Did I say private? Yes! And quiet. Queen bed in the bedroom and futon/sofa makes a twin size bed in the living room. Check-in time is after 4 pm. An early check-in is possible, just contact us. No Smokers! No pets, please.
We repurposed our attached garage many years ago to use for a school room (We are tutors) and then for an extra bedroom for when our adult children come to visit. Then we found out about Airbnb and opened this space up for guests. We continue to make improvements every year, because we have enjoyed meeting so many people from all over the world and sharing our space. More than just a bedroom, this space includes a small living space where you can relax outside of the bedroom. The living space includes a sofa/futon that makes a twin-sized bed. Bedding for the futon is found in the bedroom cloth wardrobe. A TV with basic channels, a DVD player and Amazon Fire Stick are there for you. Also included is a coffee maker, a toaster, microwave, small fridge, and a small crockpot. The kitchenette area is stocked with all you need to make coffee or tea, and also has instant oatmeal and a selection of granola bars. Take your meals inside at the table, or in nice weather, sit out on your private deck. We have great hot water with wonderful water pressure for your private bathroom, stocked with basic toiletries. We have a terrific quality of well water for drinking that is available straight from the tap. The bedroom has a cozy queen-sized bed and we use fresh cotton sheets for your comfort. We don't need air conditioning out here in the forest, but there is a fan for your convenience in case of hot weather and curtains to darken the room for a comfortable sleep. Our space does have some cosmetic quirks but we are always improving. Enjoy the forested 2-acre property, or visit with the fuzzy, friendly outdoor cat or the dopey friendly dogs. There is a common laundry room just outside your space. Feel free to use it as needed.
We are just a mile and a half from the small town of Estacada, located on the Clackamas River. This quaint town has its own award-winning brewery, pleasant restaurants, pizza parlors, a grocery store, gift shops, antique shops, and an art gallery. There are original murals on city buildings painted by local artists and several parks in the town. Estacada has a beautiful new library, too. Two state parks are just a couple of miles away, and we are just off of HWY 224, which will take you right into the Mt. Hood National Forest for hiking, fishing, and boating. And if you like hot springs, Bagby Hot Springs is a popular destination out here and just about 35 miles away.

The bed was really comfortable and the soaking tub in the bathroom was so relaxing to enjoy. The hot tub was a wonderful bonus and easy to use. We loved how friendly the cats were outside and would absolutely stay here again. Easy to find. Great communication from the host. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a getaway to Mount Hood!

  • Sailor's Hideaway is a warm, cozy and clean room with a private bath. It's very close to the ski slopes and there are a couple of good restaurants and a market that you can walk to!

  • Super communication and such a great place to access local hiking trails. We came just in time for chanterelle season and autumn colors. Best part of the stay was the hot tub which was already set up for us to use as soon as we arrived. Thank you!

  • Nicki's place is located in the cutest little hamlet. Close to groceries and coffee and gas. Great hiking opportunities. Cozy rustic. Hot tub was nice addition. Seaway bar and grill close by. Portland an hr. Away.

Magical 1935 knotty pine cabin situated along the Sandy River on a half acre. Its location offers the best of both worlds; remote enough to escape the bustling city, while still within proximity to fantastic eateries, convenience stores, and sporting shops. Minutes away from beautiful nature trails, and 30 minutes to popular ski resorts. Or if just looking to spend the night in, then relax in the hot tub or play board games around the fireplace. Well-behaved dogs are welcome.
This is a rustic cottage with an open floor plan of the living room and kitchen. There is a master bedroom that looks out to the backyard. At night, if you crack the window you can hear the sounds of the rippling Sandy River as you fall asleep. In the common space, there are steps leading up to the loft where we have twin and queen beds for more guests. There is a 3/4 bath. Walking out to the back deck, there is a grill for bbq. We have a neighbor on one side, but the surrounding trees provide for a private space.
The neighborhood is a close-knit community. There are neighbors across and next to us, but the surrounding offers a lot of privacy if you're looking to have a restful, peaceful stay.
  • We loved staying at the red cabin! The location was perfect and our stay was very cozy :)

    Tamara2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint cottage along the river with great view! Loved the porch swing and area for being outside. The fire place was finicky but once you get the hang of it, a great addition for after the mountain. We did not use the hot tub but it sits away from the house on its own deck and you can hear the river from it. Bring your own pillows as the ones there are very flat and hard. The beds themselves were comfortable. The furniture was unique and had a great cabin feel to it. The hosts are so nice and very accommodating and responds quickly.

  • Very comfortable and warm cabin! Great location for skiing, hiking, etc. On the beautiful Sandy River. Hot tub is nice and hot. Super quiet spot, nice trees, private property. Queen bed in bedroom excellent, loft beds perfect for our kids. Fireplace was great to have. Coffee and hot cocoa supplied was a nice touch. Big smart TV and comfy couches in living room. Kitchen has cookware and a well stocked spice cabinet. An excellent place to relax and access Mt Hood.

  • A wonderful place to stay!

    Jo-Ann2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was exceptionally clean and well-kept. I'd say this was the best cabin I've stayed at since I started using Airbnb. All of the directions and rules were easy to find and straight forward, and the loft area was super cute and cozy. The hot tub was very relaxing also, and had a perfect view to the river nearby.

    Alisha2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is perfect for a quick romantic getaway. The hot tub is nicely lit and ready for use right away. The little path near the river is neat. The decor in the main floor bedroom is classic cabin get away and has great carpets. Cozy. My Note 10+ phone detected the smarttv and we were able to broadcast whatever was on my phone to the TV. Really nice feature. Nice big back yard.

Shared kitchen and laundry room allow for all amenities to be available to our guests. 55 acres of farm and forest provide plenty of room to hike and explore the many aspects of nature in the Pacific Northwest. Gorgeous views of Mount Hood are provided whenever the clouds can be kept away.
  • Great place to stay if you’re planning a trip around the Mt. Hood area.

    Patrice2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Absolute perfection! The sweetest family hosting at the best location, so many pluses up here: the family, the critters, the accomodations, the farm itself, the location... Epic value, pride in ownership is evident - as it should be - and the hosts couldn't be more lovely, thoughtful and generous! So thankful for the best experiences on the farm, and the memories that will follow us!

This newly remodeled cabin is a beauty! It is architecturally unique with interesting lines, floor to ceiling windows, an open concept main floor, wood burning fireplace, a king sized bed in the loft and a comfy sofa bed in the living area. This is a great home base for exploring all that Mt. Hood has to offer and a beautiful space to relax in afterwards!
In 1977 the original owner, Klaus, bought this little pie shaped slice of land in Zig Zag Village. Klaus commissioned architect Robert C. Douglas to build a house and gave him creative license to exercise his vision and Klaus Haus was born. Mr. Douglas had studied with the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright and this house embodies Mr. Wright's influence and philosophy. Klaus Haus is part of a small community of homes along the Sandy River. We have full time neighbors and we ask that you respect their peace and quiet. We are located on a cul-de-sac with eight other homes so if a private piece of land is what you are looking for this may not be your cabin. Our home is ideal for a quiet get away for 2 people but will accommodate 4 people who are comfortable with an open floor plan. The loft is open to the main floor and complete privacy is limited to the bathroom. We decided to keep the cabin a TV free zone but we do have Wi-Fi if you'd like to bring your own streaming device. We have a cordless speaker that you can pair with your device for music. There are books, magazines, games and puzzles to help keep you entertained. This is a place to relax and get away from it all! We have a lovely small deck that is available during the summer months. The kitchen is equipped with a coffee maker, French press, blender, toaster oven and electric stove/oven. There is no microwave or dishwasher. Coffee and tea are provided. Spices, oil and sugar are also available. This is a great kitchen for cooking! We spent about a year breathing some new life into this special little home. It has been thoughtfully and stylishly appointed from top to bottom with everything to make your stay beautiful and comfortable. We hope you love it as much as we do!
We have a lovely hiking trail along the river a few minutes walk from the house and many more spectacular trails are a short drive away. Hiking, biking, snow sports, climbing etc.....opportunities are so close! Grocery stores, bars and restaurants are within 10 minutes. This is a great central location to all things on the mountain.

**We want to ensure guests the cabin is professionally cleaned & all surfaces are sanitized.** Hear the peaceful Sandy River from this knotty pine 1930's cabin with blue tin roof, on historic Barlow Trail Rd. This cozy cabin is filled with plants, vintage, & mid century decor. Get warm by the wood stove, & watch it rain or snow from the large picture windows. Enjoy the spacious kitchen with new appliances. Relax in the tranquil outdoor space among ferns, cedar trees, fire pit, & bbq.
This cabin is perfect for a couple, 2 couples, (3 couples if one sleeps on futon in living room), a friends weekend, or a family. We have 2 bedrooms (1 with Q and 1 with K), plus a very nice Q futon in the living room, and a twin air mattress if you need it. The space is open, yet cozy, charming with a rustic feel, but has modern amenities like dishwasher and new mattresses. The back lawn is peaceful and you can hear the Sandy River! Watch from the large picture windows as the rain or snow falls while you sit by the wood stove, or use the ROKU to enjoy some movies or tv! We are set back away from the road, but you can hear traffic from Barlow Trail Rd if you are in the front yard or have the front windows open...but if you are in the backyard, or only have the river-facing windows open, you mostly only hear the river! You can see two somewhat distant neighbors through the trees in the winter, but in the spring and summer, you don't see neighbors due to foliage. HEAT: The home will be around 60 degrees when you arrive. You'll need to follow instructions to turn on other heaters to heat the home, and in winter months, you will most likely need to start a fire. If you plan to use our wood, you may need to chop larger pieces with our splitting mull. The electric heat sources can heat the home to around 65 in living room area, and 70 in bedrooms. Some guests have found the living room area to be chilly without using the wood stove. The wood stove can heat the entire cabin on it's own if you keep it going. It’s so cozy & sometimes too hot! We provide wood for guests from October-April for guests who plan to use the wood stove as their SOLE source of heat, but please bring your own newspaper and kindling. In the cabin, there are detailed instructions for how to use the wood stove effectively. If you plan to use the woodstove from May-September, you’ll need to bring your own wood. More often than not, we can offer late check-out or early check- in, just ask :)
We are located on the historic Barlow Trail Route, part of the Oregon Trail. You can hear the Sandy River from our home. We do not have riverfront property, but you can hear the river and there are public access points for hiking and a beautiful beach within a mile of our home! The rustic & cool Brightwood tavern is 1.5 miles away, as well as the Brightwood general store. The home is located within 2 miles of the Sandy Ridge Trailhead - a network of mountain biking and hiking trails. We are 5 minutes from Thriftway in Welches, 10 minutes from Skyway Bar, and 20 minutes to Government Camp.
  • Fantastic space with great access to Mt. Hood and local hiking, skiing, sledding and general outdoor enjoyment. The space is super cozy, so great to come back to after a day out and about.

  • I always stay at a cabin on Mt Hood for my Birthday and this was a fantastic find. I took full advantage of the wood stove, which heated up the main area within an hour. I appreciated having access to wood for the stove and I found out that I like chopping wood so much that I chopped a bunch for the folks staying after me. The kitchen was huge and was stocked with all the right pots, pans, coffee maker (and french press) as well as silverware, cutting board, cooking utensils, etc. Also, the fridge makes its own ice which I think is a nice perk for, you know...cocktails. The cabin also is quirky in terms of which light switch turn on certain lights (or don't). Lastly, I got to the cabin while it was dark and rainy and I was worried I was going to miss signs. I used Google Maps up till Barlow Trail Road from which I then switched over the Amber's directions (which I highly recommend doing). Google maps will take you too far down the road.

  • Beautiful cabin and surrounding area. Cabin was clean, cozy, and adorable.

    Devin2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cabin! We loved the interior and it had everything we needed. It's very close to the grocery store and is set back from the road. The sound of the river and the smell of the trees was a great way to fall asleep at night!

    Emily2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I loved the cozy feel of the cabin. Even though it was cold outside, the inside was cozy and comfortable. Everything was clean and smelled good. They have everything you need to make you feel at home. The communication with Amber was great. She responds quickly, and was easy to talk to. The only thing that I would recommend to anyone visiting on a weekend is, not to go to the skyway bar and grill at dinner time because we waited an hour for a seat and never got a table. It seemed like they were seating everyone before us because they were locals. The menu looked good, but we never got seated so we went to Dairy Queen which was also disappointing, except for the banana split. I absolutely loved the cabin, so if I ever go back, I will try the Mexican food across the street from skyway.

Comfortable basic room in a quiet neighborhood home with shared bathroom and kitchen privileges. Excellent place to stay when heading up to the ski and mountain trails on Mt. Hood, or to river play on the Sandy, Columbia or Willamette Rivers. Park and ride is available in Sandy for skiers and mountain biking, depending on the season. Lots of dining and shopping options in Sandy, and the heart of Portland is only 30min away. House has an elder Persian cat who has the run of the house.
Full kitchen access with labels to cut down on finding tools and dishes. Yard with grass, summer garden, and a heated smokers greenhouse.
Sandy is a small town with a long and varied history going back to the wagon train days. It is the last opportunity for shopping until the other side of the Cascade mountains, and has a good variety of shops and restaurants. It caters to a number of outdoor enthusiasms involving mountains and rivers.

Komorebi House is a modern one bedroom cabin in the Mt Hood National Forest. The design is inspired by travels to Japan and a love for NW design. We are excited to become the new owners of Komorebi House. As 5-star super hosts of Pinewood Cabin, we will keep the same high standards as the previous owners. Komorebi combines luxury with all of the comforts of home to create the perfect place to unplug from the world and enjoy the simple elegance of a cabin-in-the-woods.
The Komorebi House is a wonderful romantic destination or the perfect place to unwind. The bedroom offers guests a king-size, pillow top bed with layers of textured quilts and throws to sink into. The linear fireplace will heat up the bedroom on cold winter nights while you flip through Netflix, or just listen to music. The wall-mounted TV in the bedroom is the perfect height to view while in bed. Individual pendant and overhead lighting can be controlled from each side of the bed. There are two USB connects per bedside for your devices. Once you crawl into bed, you won't want to get back out again. The open concept kitchen has everything you need to dine-in. Induction cooktop with hood, open shelving for easy access to the essentials, microwave, large fridge with freezer, dishwasher, oven and coffee bar with complimentary Keurig pods ranging in boldness as well as hot chocolate and an assortment of teas. As you walk out the back door you will enter the courtyard area where the hot tub is located. While the courtyard is still a work-in-progress, we think you'll l enjoy the Zen-like atmosphere with a beautiful forest as the backdrop. Relax in the salt-water hydrotherapy spa after a day on the mountain or out adventuring. Just steps beyond the hot tub you can follow the path down to Henry Creek where time stands still. It’s a wonderful place to enjoy the soothing sounds of water before you start your day. We hope you enjoy the understated beauty that surrounds you at the Komorebi House.
Situated within an established family based/2nd -home forest neighborhood, you're close to everyday conveniences. Walk, bike or drive to the Village Market, coffee shop and Al Forno Ferrezza, a local pizza joint with fresh greens, pizza, beer on tap and a great vibe that reminds you of SE Portland. You can walk west down Henry Creek Road to Barlow Trail, where you'll find several trail systems along the way. And, of course, there are plenty of beautiful hiking trails a short drive away along with good restaurants, the Hoodland Thriftway grocery store and the local liquor store. Government Camp is less than 10 miles away and Timberline/MT. Hood is only 15 miles away.
  • Great place, great setting, great hosts! The cabin has many thoughtful touches and amenities. Peaceful, soothing, secluded and well-appointed. We look forward to many future visits.

  • David and Karen are the absolute best hosts! They are so quick to reply. You can tell they have put a lot of effort into hosting, and it definitely pays off. The Airbnb was just spectacular. I still can’t get over how beautiful everything was!

  • Had a wonderful weekend away. Loved the thoughtful touches. Had the feel of a Japanese hotel.

    Teresa2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The Komorebi house was perfect for our weeklong escape from the city. David and Karen thought of everything and more, yet still maintained a modern/clean/minimal atmosphere. The hot tub was perfect after a long day on the mountain. We walked to Dairy Queen for some cool treats, and hiked down trails near the house. 10 out of 10, 5 stars, highly recommended, would do again! :)

    Tyler2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect long weekend getaway, with everything we needed to hideout by ourselves.

    Tim2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Oh, this cozy little hideaway is just the sweetest. It’s beautifully and thoughtfully designed, perfectly outfitted for a cozy stay (full kitchen with all kitchen amenities a big bonus!), and the hot tub under a gorgeous cedar pagoda means a warm soak always awaits, rain or shine. To rest out there with the babbling creek nearby nestled amongst the trees is just heaven. And such thoughtful touches as robes and flip-flops to get to and from the hot tub in warmth was just so sweet. We highly recommend this lovely, easy-to-get-to escape. And even though it’s close to the main highway, the traffic can’t be heard at all.

    Leigha2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was such an amazing getaway locale for my wife and I. It is our second year spending a few days in this paradise. They have really tended to all of the possible needs of the guests as well as offering such a clean and well updated space. We loved our time and can’t wait for our next vacation at this cabin.

    Mark2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is stunning. The bed is like a giant cloud, there’s easy access to coffee in the morning and the hot tub in the snow is perfect (especially with a little shelter over). The cabin is 18 minutes to Timberline, away from the crowds and nestled in a town with great local eateries!

  • A cozy and adorable space! It was the perfect place for a weekend getaway, and an excellent combination of being off the beaten path but with easy access to everything you might need.

  • Michelle's place was comfy and cozy. We had a wonderful weekend away from the city cross country skiing and relaxing. The cabin was very clean, the kitchen well stocked to prepare meals, and the wood stove was lovely. Michelle is very quick to reply to questions or concerns. Thanks so much for a memorable weekend near Mt Hood!

    Caitlin2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great place with stylish and comfortable interior -a perfect getaway for our mid-week skiing endeavor! Loved it!!!

    Zuzana2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay in this beautiful little cabin. It was cozy and aesthetic. Great kitchen to cook in with everything you need, cozy common space with wood-burning stove, and quiet setting. Only thing to know is steep spiral stairs to get to bedrooms, and no bathroom upstairs so would be tricky with little ones or people with any mobility issues.

    Shira2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Michelle’s cabin for our sons birthday. This cabin has everything you would need...fully stocked kitchen and bathroom (with a wash machine and dryer), nice cozy fireplace and it’s in a great location!! There is a grocery store (and more) within 10 minutes and Mt Hood Skibowl took us less than 20 minutes to get to. Plenty of close places to eat or even get groceries and cook! The cabin was clean and super cute and even had our pooches covered with a nice bed and dishes! It was much larger than I expected from looking at the pictures online. My only regret was that I didn’t have enough time to sit in the main bedroom and read in the reading nook!!

    Amy Wirth2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our family enjoyed our stay and we were wishing we could have stayed longer. The kitchen was well stocked and our kids enjoyed the board games. Michelle was a wonderful host with great communication.

    Sarah2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • It’s rare to find such a stylish, beautiful, AND comfortable space at such a great rate! This will be our go-to place to retreat and rest away from the city. The jetted bathtub was a sweet treat at the end of the day, and I could just stare out the sky lights all day, while the rain pitter patter on the roof, next to the wood stove. Lovely.

    Kamila2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a dreamy, cozy, & stylish space for a weekend getaway! My husband and I loved our stay and also appreciated the doggie bed + dishes for our pup. The aesthetic in this place is absolutely stunning and made it easy to stay in and relax. Such a lovely contemporary cabin feel that’s tucked away and offers excellent views especially from the back porch area. We would love to come back sometime—it’s a hidden gem!

  • Beautiful and relaxing weekend. We really enjoyed a quiet weekend away

    Cindy2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Ron and Barb’s cabin is a great escape from the city. The space is clean and stylish, the beds are comfy, and the view from the cabin is beautiful. Great proximity to hiking and outdoor parks/picnicking.

    Anna2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed here to get away from the city and enjoy the outdoors, the hot tub, and lack of people. The area and house were beautiful and we loved the sound of the river. The weekend was exactly what we were hoping it would be! We both highly recommend staying here if you are also looking for a little forest getaway. I do recommend bringing your own food or being prepared to drive a bit for food because all the restaurants we tried in the area were just okay. We hope to come back when the weather is a bit warmer and explore more of the trails in the area.

    Allison2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We love this place! Beautiful location and a clean, well-appointed cabin. Perfect for relaxing by the fire or just watching the river with a cup of coffee. The cabin is about 15 mins from the trailhead to Shellburg Falls, which is a great hike!

    David2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • If you are at all hesitant about staying here, don’t be! It’s as nice as the pictures make it look, and even more peaceful and relaxing. If you love the outdoors, there is so much good hiking all around. You will not be disappointed!

    Jan2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • This home! This river! These trees! All of this place is perfection. The Treehouse itself is truly one of the most beautiful, stunningly-designed, nature-forward/incorporating places we have ever stayed. We can’t express enough how immensely we enjoyed ourselves. The many gorgeous windows with views of treetops, the spectacular tile shower, the luxe kitchen, the rush of the river, the wood burning stove, and perfect wood and exposed beam interior were spacious-yet-cozy, and the hot tub overlooking the tumbling river made this place beyond anything we had hoped for - it was the perfect start to our honeymoon! We are so grateful!

    Leigha2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • This place is absolutely amazing. It will exceed all of you expectations. If you’re looking for a getaway, book here.

  • A quiet place to relax and unwind away from the cities. It's a short drive away from Salem, but in Mid-January it was a very relaxing getaway.

  • The grizzly bear cabin was a great place to stay for skiing on the mountain. The hottub was amazing, and the room was cozy, clean and warm. Malcolm and Tammy were very sweet and I wish I got to talk to them more, they seemed like very interesting people, with a very cute dog. I would definetly book this again.

    Malia2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at this adorable cottage. This is the first time we have rented a room in a house with air bnb and we were honestly a bit hesitant. But it was a wonderful experience! Malcom was a wonderful host and the location was great! Their little pup Charlie was adorable! We will for be back!

Located just 5 minutes from The Resort At The Mountain's 27 hole golf course. Bedroom downstairs with full bed, and separate loft with a queen sized bed. I keep flannel sheets on the beds in winter, cotton in summer. Please let me know if you have a preference different from that. Great parking in the driveway.Wifi. It's close to restaurants, walk to the river behind the cabin, easy access to the highway (snow season). It is surrounded by trees and nature. It is super cozy, with 640 square feet, comfy furniture, bedroom downstairs, loft overlooking living room with queen bed. New Jotul gas fireplace stove. You will stay warm!
  • Great place close to restaurants and highway!

  • Cloie and Michael's place is such a cozy spot! It's well stocked with kitchen equipment, has super soft towels for the shower, and soft flannel sheets on the bed was a great touch! We thought the water stopped in the kitchen and they were quick to respond and make sure everything was working. Their place is so welcoming, my husband and I mostly stayed inside cuddled on the couch with the many blankets provided, and the ambiance of the wood stove! We did get out one day and do some hiking and the location proved to be a good spot. Also, you must go to the Skyway and try the garlic cheesy fries and cheeseburger! We'll be back, thanks Cloi and Michael.

  • My girlfriend and I booked the Happy Nest so that we could have a weekend getaway in the woods. And we could not have gotten a better deal. Such an amazing cabin as soon as we stepped inside it felt like home. So close to Mt. Hood and all that it has to offer. We had an absolutely amazing time and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy a cabin in the woods.

    Jaron2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great little cabin for 2 people to spend some time in the mountains! A short drive to ski lodges and there’s a cute restaurant with live music within walking distance. We’ll be back!

    Ashley2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This cozy cabin in the forest was a perfect place to stay in the winter time. It looked straight out of a Christmas card. Proximity to both the wilderness around Mt. Hood and to a town with plenty of restaurants and stores. The little "wood" burning stove in the middle of the place was just adorable. She even has a complete set of Merry Mushroom canisters! My friend and I decided to stay here and go skiing. Unfortunately my friend, who left after me, did not clean up the place as she promised she would. I'm upset about this as I would consider staying here again, without said friend !

    Sara2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent weekend getaway! My girlfriend and I loved the cabin. They do a great job of keeping cost down, however be aware once you choose your bed it is $20 to switch to the other one. Lots of helpful information provided about local activities and attractions. Don’t forget to take the walk by the river!

    Auberon2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
