We have long since wished there were easy ways to escape our busy city lives and retreat into a magical, beautiful and peaceful space that feels like another world. This idea eventually evolved into a mission to build with our own hands Melbourne's very own magical sanctuaries, and to share it with the rest of the world. We love imagining what we could create, to build, and to share them with the world through hosting. We constantly think about how to make our creations bring even greater sense of joy and wonder, and not about how much it'll cost us. We're genuinely excited and happy to host each new guest, to hear about what they love about our creations, and what we could do to make it even better. We have built and opened our first instalment of Melbourne's hidden sanctuary, which we lovingly refer to as "Heaven & Earth". We have plans to make it even better, as well as other ideas for other worlds we want to try building for our next instalments. All Melbourne's CBD attractions are within easy walking distance—you can reach Flinders Station, Federation Square, and the Yarra River in five minutes. Degraves Street is a three-minute walk, and Hardware Lane restaurants are six minutes away.

The place was just as described, with amazing attention to details and extra touches like great coffee machine and milk provided, plenty of towels and warm, cozy bedding. The forest theme created an environment more relaxing than I even imagined. The location of the apartment, being at the end of the hall meant it was a quiet oasis in the middle of the CBD.     The freshly renovated apartment has everything you'll need to stay comfortably and safely in the heart of Melbourne. The space is clean and practical, with phone chargers, storage, and lots of coat hangers. It is particularly suitable for music lovers, with a guitar and a record player for guests to enjoy.
    Swanston Street includes many landmarks including the State Library of Victoria, the Capitol Theatre, Federation Square, and RMIT University.

Easy to find, great location, easy access, clean, lots of little extra’s such as; cell phone charging cords, universal plugs, lots of towels, face clothes, things that you may need, but forgot to pack. Some may find the street noise abit loud for sleeping at times, I did not, but, she even has ear plugs there for you. I would highly recommend 👍

    This beautiful studio apartment has been recently renovated and is ideally located in Fitzroy within walking distance to Melbourne CBD. It is ideal for a single person or a couple. The apartment is on the first floor of a small block of units (18 in total) surrounded by greenery. Our studio apartment (approximately 32m2) is tastefully decorated and has a large window overlooking Napier Street which gets lovely morning light.
    Fitzroy is one of the most exciting and vibrant neighbourhoods in Melbourne. Our apartment is located just off Gertrude Street, between Brunswick Street and Smith Street, all which offer some of the most interesting cafes, restaurants, bars, galleries and shops in town.
  • Really delightful and charming! The place is small, but there are all sorts of space saving storage places. We had a ton of luggage and were fine. The neighborhood is very charming, great location. Really clean building as well. We loved staying here, only issue was the slow WiFi. Oh well, nobodies perfect.

  • We had a great stay at Kate and Has’s apartment. The location is perfect for discovering Fitzroy and a stones throw from the tram for exploring further. The space is ideal for 2, we didn’t use the kitchen area as there are too many good food options right on the door step! The communication with the agents was really easy when needing to leave our bags at the office in the city and they were also able to get us checked in earlier than scheduled. We provide Breakfast with a selection of Cereal, Yogurt & Artisan bread. The Guest lounge has big comfy sofas. Flinders Lane has Galleries, Boutiques, fabulous Restaurants & Bars; a safe and exciting neighbourhood. Perfect location to stay for Travellers & there are also facilities for Board meetings & Presentations.
    We live in a spacious and light-filled warehouse, furnished with French provincial furniture and Contemporary Art. The building was a Fashion House, converted to Apartments in the '90s; it has very high ceilings with Architectural details defining the space, the bathrooms have an industrial edge with stainless steel fit out. We have comfy sofas for when you need to relax with a coffee or a glass of wine after a busy day of work or sightseeing.
    The area of Flinders Lane has a history of Fashion and Art for over a century; the area has changed over the last 2 decades, tho' it has always remained edgy, Boutiques, Galleries and now fabulous foodie Restaurants, there are also several Live music venues and Bars tucked away in Laneways throughout the city.

  • I wrote an extensive review about my last stay here back in May 2019 so feel free to check that out. This time around I stayed from 5th to 9th February 2020. As with my last visit, it’s a wonderful experience staying with Bronwyn, Michael and their furry child Chai. So great to meet Michael in person this time too! Their super spacious warehouse apartment has everything you could ask for, plus the very central location in the city makes getting to the major local sights and CBD shopping / eating districts a breeze. I also really appreciated the complimentary continental breakfast that was so thoughtfully laid out the night before. This gave me a good energy boost at the start of the day as this time I ventured a bit further out and caught more trams - note that Melbourne is quite flat and very easy to get around on foot, which I mostly did during my last visit. Thank you for your warm and gracious hospitality as always.

  • I spent five wonderful days here. The location of the apartment is really amazing, in the heart of the city center. From here, it is very convenient to go anywhere. The house is the same as the pictures look like an art gallery, full of art atmosphere. Living here, has the private room and the bathroom, also can use Brown's kitchen, open kitchen, the tableware is very complete. Brown & Michael, They are very enthusiastic and made me feel very warm. They also gave me some very convenient and useful tour advice. There are extra services, a hearty breakfast, a bottle of wine, a transit card, washer, and dryer, and can store luggage for a while. They are really considerate for the guests. If you want a deep experience of Melbourne's life, come here ! Brown loves food,if she has time, you can cook with her. I'll come again next time. It’s a walking distance from Elwood beach and 2min walk toTennyson St Shopping centre. The flat is smoke-free except for the balcony, that’s our smoking area. We have a gorgeous little village close by, with lovely cafes, wine bars, an independent supermarket, and a fabulous fruit shop.
    Spacious, bright and charming; this will be your perfect summer getaway - providing you with all you need to settle in and unwind, or to get out and explore our wonderful city. Your studio apartment is best described as being like a spacious hotel room with a separate bathroom - only better! You'll enter your apartment via your own secure courtyard. The apartment is large and features two beautiful diamond leadlight windows, parquet floor and loads of natural light. Did we mention charm? We have a thriving little Main Street just up from the train station where you'll find some great little cafes, a wine bar, a small live music venue, an independent supermarket, laundromat and the oldest fruit shop in Melbourne. Plus, we couldn't go without mentioning the famed Attica, continually voted Australia's best restaurant and highly rated on the world food stage. We also have the Grosvenor Hotel just up the road, serving up a great range of dishes, including pizza, parmas, burgers, beautifully aged meats plus a great wine selection to choose from. St Kilda's Acland street and the bay are just a 15-20 minute walk away via the St Kilda Botanic Gardens or a quick tram ride.

A few minute walk to train, tram and bus routes with Elwood next door and St Kilda and the foreshore just a walk away, the annex is a perfect base to explore Melbourne. Fast, stable and unlimited wifi. Bed linen and towels. Breakfast hamper provided.
    7kms from Melbourne CBD, our annex is clean, comfortable, quiet and is a completely self contained studio home. It has its own access, brand new bathroom and kitchen (May 2019) and has both heating and cooling. There's no washing machine but as I do a ton of washing for the family, I'm more than happy to do a load or two for our guests. If a launderette is more your thing, there's one just a few minutes away. It also has a TV, digital radio/alarm, DVD player plus a huge random selection of DVD's, iPod dock, tea and coffee supplies, breakfast and snacks, fridge and towels. If you're here on holiday, thinking of moving to the area, have just arrived in Melbourne or you need a place for visiting family or friends without paying hotel or serviced apartment prices, this is just the place. With the safety and knowledge of having us just next door, you can be sure you or your family will be looked after. We are also happy to accommodate extended periods or one nights. Please enquire. If you're going to one Melbourne's great sporting events such as Caulfield Races, Cricket, AFL, F1 or the Tennis, you can get there easily. It's a short taxi ride to Caulfield Racecourse or train or tram to Albert Park and Olympic Park. The annex is completely separate from the main house with private access. It's open plan (apart from the bathroom!) Upon entry you go straight up the stairs and it's split into two by the stairwell. One half has the kitchen, lounge area and TV and the other half has a built in wardrobe with a good supply of clothes hangers, queen size bed and a bathroom with shower. All linen is provided. In May 2019, the bathroom and kitchen were completely renovated. Back open for business even better than before! You won’t be disappointed. I’m happy to consider one night stays. Please enquire.
    Located on a quiet laneway in Ripponlea, the annex is conveniently based within walking distance to all public transport links, St Kilda and Elwood. A perfect base for exploring. Voted one of Australia's best restaurants, Attica is just a few minutes walk away. So close you can save money on taxi fares and you'll be glad of the walk home! Rippon Lea Estate and Mansion is also just over the road. Under control of National Trust Australia they often have exhibitions and the grounds are stunning, perfect for a picnic or just a leisurely stroll.

    Gorgeous, bright, 1960's, apartment in Ripponlea/East St Kilda. Transport is at your doorstep with Ripponlea station across the road and a tram stop just outside the door! And a bus that goes to St Kilda that passes along the street as well. 15 minutes on the train and your in the heart of the city. Elwood, St Kilda, South Yarra, Prahran, Elsternwick and Balaclava restaurant and bar precincts are within walking distance plus, Elwood Beach, Acland Street, Chapel Street, Fitztroy Street and St Kilda Botanical Gardens. Great shops, cafes, restaurants, bar and supermarket a 500m walk up the road. You will be completely spoiled for choice for where to go out be it, Chapel St, Glen Huntly Road, Acland St, Carlisle St... the list is endless! The flat is quiet, comfortable and clean. Your double room get's the beautiful afternoon sun and has a new and expensive queen size bed, comfy pillows, doona and bedding and a wardrobe to hang your clothes. Lounge and bathroom are a good size and there's a balcony where you can sit at a table and chairs which catches the morning and early afternoon sunshine. Kitchen has all the utensils you need and in the lounge, nice comfortable couches to kick back on with air con/heating split system. Lots of street parking as well and free WiFi.
    Ripponlea is a gorgeous, green, boutique suburb right next to all the must see suburbs visitors to Melbourne must see like St Kilda, Elwood, South Yarra and Prahran. Everything is very close including public transport and guests are able to walk to gorgeous parks, cafes, shops, restaurants and bars.

    Welcome to our home on the most loved street in Melbourne-Chapel Street! You will be staying in our bright drawing room which has a sofa bed. For late risers- the blinds really are blackout! Although a shared space, we will try to give you as much privacy as possible- the space will be accessed by us in the day time, but you’ll have it all to yourself at night. My husband & I are easy going & expect you to keep the space clean. We can chill with you or leave you alone according to your wish.
    We picked the best possible apartment for ourselves and have made it into a home with a lot of care, and hope you’ll experience the same kind of comfort here that we do. The very sort after location will give you easy access to all things travellers yearn for and still give you the call and quiet of a residential area. Our sofa bed is very comfortable and the kitchen has all amenities required to either cook elaborate meals or prepare quick fillers. You can do your laundry and borrow our bikes too if you wish.
    Chapel Street has loads of grocery stores, markets, shops, eateries and activity options, along with the beach being just 20 minute walk from our home. If you’re into fitness or have a dog, Alma park is just a few minutes walk away too. The apartment building itself is in a quiet yet accessible area, and CBD is just 30 mins by tram so it’s a win win in every possible way.

  • The accommodation was a clean environment with paintings throughout the building. Plenty of cooking pots and pans, oven with huge gas cooking top, a toaster and microwave. These made it very easy to cook meals that were bought at the supermarket that was a short walk up the road. The bathroom was clean and tidy having a washing machine there to clean the clothing. Enjoy.

  • Location: You just can't miss this location, it's in a prime location, where everything is close by. Be it cafes, shops, tram stops or metro station. Place: it's on the first floor, and you'll have your privacy, and there's a heater in the room to take care of winter worries. The place is very clean. The only downside is kitchen is downstairs, but hey, the host is awesome. Host: He communicates well with you, very flexible in checking in or out, helps you out with recommending places or just about absolutely anything, Justin is an interesting person. Would I recommend: absolutely yes.

    Private room (Queen bed) for rent in a shared house in Elsternwick, Melbourne.Close to the train station, about 10 mins walk. A train to the city will take you about half an hour, or there are the trams with the nearest tram about 5 mins walk from Glen Huntly Rd. This is a shared house - I stay in the room when I'm here but am now travelling quite a bit. There are 2 other housemates - 2 great guys in the mid-twenties. House is nice, could do with a bit of a clean - the photos show it as it is.
    As I mentioned above - please don't stay here if you expect it to be spotless. The shower could do with a clean, there will probably be a few dishes in the sink etc. etc. You'll be sharing it with Sam & Jack - 2 easy-going guys in their mid-twenties. Please note Moses the dog will not be there either.
    Elsternwick is an awesome little village, close to St Kilda and the beach as well as Melbourne city. A great & safe area.
  • David was an amazing and very helpful host. The communication was more than flawless, his response time and helpfulness is above and beyond. The room was large and we slept like a baby with my boyfriend, so definitely recommended if you need a good rest! We only spent one night but would come back anytime for longer without hesitation. Jack and Sam are very cool and super helpful. housemates, too. The house is spacious and has a nice living area to hang around in. Highly recommended!

    You will love your stay in this designer apartment in one of Melbourne's BEST Bayside towns just south of iconic St Kilda! My place is just 2 minutes walk to the beach on Selwyn Avenue, or the cafes and restaurants of Elwood Village. The apartment is surrounded by huge leafy trees in a lovely quiet block.
    Marble bench top, oak floor boards, white tiled bathroom and a mirrored wall in the living space keep this apartment light, bright and with an open feel. My place has 1 bedroom separate from the living area to give you some space to move around. Heating and cooling keep you comfortable no matter what time of year. Cushions, lamps, candles & greenery give this apartment a cosy home away from home feel. There's a coffee machine and teas, and a kitchen well equiped to make some meals. On the warmer nights you can open up the living room to the balcony to hear the birds and smell the ocean. A street parking permit is available so that you can park for free and with no time restrictions on the street outside the building.
    Elwood is a very cool beachside, inner suburb of Melbourne. Lots of cafes, restaurants and shops with a village feel. Every street is lined with trees. There is a local farmers market on the 2nd Saturday of every month.
