There is one double bedroom and the second bedroom can be set up as twin beds or these can be joined together to make a super king, let us know which you would prefer. Little Gwendreath is a collection of four holiday cottages set within the Lizard national nature reserve in Cornwall. Our local beach, Kennack Sands, is 15 mins walk away and the South West Coast Path passes nearby.
Little Gwendreath Holiday Cottages is comprised of the main farm house built in the late 19th century and the cottages which were originally the farm outbuildings. Each of our cottages has two bedrooms with a double bed in the main bedroom and either a twin or super king in the second. Outside there is a private garden for each cottage and a laundry room for your use. Also inside the laundry room is a selection of leaflets about local attractions and a bookshelf should you need anything to read on your holiday. To the east is a small stream and path that leads down to the beach at Kennack sands. The area surrounding Little Gwendreath is a national nature reserve and a site of special scientific interest complete with rare species of flora and fauna. Kennack sands is divided into two beaches by Carn Kennack (a small hill). There are two café’s next to the beach and you can also learn to surf at Kennack Sands Surf School. The east beach is dog friendly.

  • We stayed with our two girls 8 and 10. The space was perfect for us, having everything we needed for a cosy and warm winter's break. Thoughtful touches like hot water bottles and festive treats on arrival were lovely. The boardgames and DVDs are plentiful and we loved the books giving great local walks and visitor information. A lovely place to stay in a remote and beautiful part of the world. Got home and immediately booked to return.

  • Thank you for such a lovely stay. We found the cottage to be very clean and cosy, the location was perfect for all the coastal walking we wanted to do. It was great to bring the dog with us as well. Thank you for a lovely winter break away in your homely cottage. Laura, Jon and Dilly the dog :)

A traditional Cornish stone built cottage, situated directly on the SW Coast path. Stunning, panoramic sea views and just 3 minute stroll into the unspoilt village of Coverack. Large double room with impressive sea views in a comfortable house full of period features. Friendly and welcoming hosts. Not suitable for children.
The cottage is situated on the South West Coast path and is therefore perfect for walkers. Stunning sea views in a traditional cottage full of period features. It is a 3 minute walk to the village, which has shops, cafes, restaurants and a pub. We serve a traditional English breakfast every morning - although all dietary requirements are catered for. We have parking. The house is very old and has uneven floors, steep stairs and the parking area behind the house is accessed by 2 flights of uneven, gravel covered steps - it is therefore unsuitable for small children. The bathroom and toilet are downstairs and the bedroom is upstairs.
It is very peaceful and beautiful in Coverack. It is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Although there is a very good pub, a couple of shops and a couple of very good restaurants in the village, Coverack retains it's timeless, unspoilt charm. Coverack is a very good base from which to explore the Lizard Peninsula - either by foot on the SW Coast path or by car. As we are on the Southernmost tip of England, you are almost guaranteed some sunshine every day - even in the Winter. The climate is very gentle and frosts are virtually unknown in Coverack. The village has been featured recently on the BBC 'Countryfile' programme.
  • Zoe and George's hospitality was out of this world! The breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious and they were able to accommodate our very early departure. The town is perfect to escape the city. The cosy room and feather topped bed/duvet has left us with the best rest in months. Thank you!

    Izabella2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very pleasant stay at Zoe & George's place, and the fact that their place is located along the South West Coast Path was convenient for us. And the breakfast was amazing!

    Justine2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Zoe and George were great hosts. They were so helpful and courteous and gave us many tips for activities in the area. Their dogs and cats are lovely and good-natured. The breakfast was amazing. Our room had a wonderful sea-view which we really enjoyed. The house is situated right next to the South West Coast Path and just a view minutes walk away from the village center with a nice pub and and cafe. Thanks for having us!

    Nancy2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Zoe and George are two very nice and original hosts. We felt very comfortable with them and received a lot of good information and tips. The breakfast was just great! Thanks !

  • Zoe and George gave me a warm welcome, their relaxed and friendly approach made me feel right at home. Their cottage, and the room I stayed in, has a fabulous view of the sea. I had everything I needed, and the sound of the waves lulled me into a great night's sleep in the big, comfy bed. A delicious breakfast set me up for my onward journey the next day. Lovely spot. Recommended.

    Clare2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay at Zoe and Georges' - great hosts, good conversation, beautiful place, great food and hospitality, clean and welcoming - couldn't ask for more. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again.

    Suzanne Elizabeth2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great stay with Zoe and George! They we're really welcoming and had many recommondations for what to do near by. The breakfast was really good too!!

    Henrike2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is very quaint and cosy (the view from the window is amazing). We recommend taking a walk on the coast path right in front of the house. Breakfast was very good and fulfilling. Zoe and George were extremely friendly and shared great local tips. George helped me drive the car up to their place which made me incredibly grateful as it's quite hilly.

We feel so lucky to live in such a beautiful place like cadgwith! Right next to the beach, the local pub and our wonderful little cafe The Old Cellars! Everyone is so friendly and helpful :) we would love to share this part of Cornwall with visitors to show how lovely Cadgwith is! So many amazing walks and views!
  • This is my second stay in the cottage, would stay again.

    Ian2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very spacious, cosy clean accommodation on the heart of Cadgwith. Bed was really comfortable , and the kitchen very well equipped. Shower room is tiny but fine for us. Will definitely return !

    Annie2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Well ... the apartment is just amazing ; full of character / very clean and with all facilities . Lovely touches like gorgeous ginger bread biscuits when you walk in . Amazing view of the harbour. Area is fantastic for the walks and views . Local fish shop providing peerless quality . Hannah is a fantastic host . We're so glad to have stayed and can thoroughly reccommend The Loft

    John2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great being in the middle of a living fishing village.

    Jonathan2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay in Cadgwith Cove was wonderful! We were so close to the beach and able to enjoy seeing the boats and the water. It was a great location right above a cafe and next to a pub/inn. I was not familiar with the area when I booked but it was close to all our travels in Cornwall and I would definitely visit the area again!

    Eve2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • A amazing place, in a awesome part of Cornwall to explore. Definitely pay a visit to the pub only a metre away, get a cadgwith crab from the local fish shop 10 metres down the road. Get out and about and take in the area. Lots of places to visit.

    Linda2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely quirky place made for couples who want a cosy space that is bigger than the pictures make out, also plenty of character and log fire to keep warm. Hannah is an amazing host who made the trip extremely smooth and relaxing. Thoroughly recommend!

    Michael2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful quirky property. Everything we needed was there including a surprise Cornish Cream tea for two at the café below which was absolutely delicious. The area is amazing, a little hidden gem. Great pub food next door and going in on the Friday night is a must to see and hear the fishermen sing sea shanties. WiFi was a little hit and miss but I guess that's to be expected in a remote area of the country. So it didn't bother us too much. Kynance Cove is a must to visit only 10 minutes away. As is the Lizard. Would highly recommend to friends and family. Thanks for letting us stay and make amazing memories x

Moonsail is a beautifully presented two bed cottage with views over Cadgwith valley and towards the cove - a perfect getaway for couples or families. The cove is a short stroll away and has a great pub, restaurant and shops. Cadgwith is one of the last few active fishing villages in Cornwall and you can watch all the goings on from one of the two beaches in the cove. The Cadgwith singers often entertain in the pub on a Friday evening. Unfortunately this cottage isn't suitable for pets.
  • Moonsail is a lovely place to stay, the location is brilliant and the surrounding beaches and coves are stunning- particularly Kynance cove which is just down the road! Pub in the village is also lovely. Hosts were lovely & we will definitely return to Cadgwith in the future! Only downfall was the WiFi which didn’t work on occasions or had very weak signal.

    Amy2019-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • I went in thinking the pictures were too good to be true (especially for the price), but Moonsail lived up to and went beyond all my exceptions. It was neat, very tidy, located amazingly, and had everything we could dream of needing. Fiona also gave us plenty of helpful tips for things to see and places to eat at, all of which really helped improve the stay. It's everything you could ask for and all at a good value. The location may be a bit too south if you want to see Cornwall in its entirety, but the area is small and the locality is vibrant, set in a small fishing village with a lovely pub and friendly people. I spent a lot of time just walking in the area and admiring the lovely views. Cannot recommend this place enough.

    Dhannasika2019-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute accommodation at the entrance to the famous Cadgwith. A wonderful, not crowded little fishing village.

    Lydia2018-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great cottage in a very quiet area with brilliant parking and all you need in place! Very quiet, superb Interieur, very clean and Fiona and Simon are very friendly and helpful! Beach and rural walks just outside the door or not further than 5 minutes away. Highly recommended!

    John2018-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is an ideal location for exploring the Lizard especially access to outstanding coastal walks and superb beaches. Parking at the property is more suited to small cars but the community car park is virtually opposite and has plenty of room. Fiona left a parking permit for us to use during our stay. The house is comfortably furnished for a relaxing stay and there is a good selection of reading matter.

    Martin2018-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent 4 night stay. Lovely cottage in a lovely village in Cornwall. Great access to the coastal walking path with some impressive scenery on the doorstep. We enjoyed an evening at the local pub listening to sea shanties being sung, and bought fish from the crab hut for a BBQ dinner.

    Ben2018-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • The location is stunning; in particular, it is peaceful, tranquil yet amazingly friendly. There is ample to do in walking distance of Moonsail and Cadgwith with great eating and drinking facilities in the village or a short stroll to Ruan Minor. The house is very clean and well cared for; the decor adds to the tranquility and isn't over fussy. We enjoyed the facilities within the house choosing to cook as well as eat out. Fiona responded prompyly to my enquiries and was most helpful yet didn't invade our privacy. We would go back to both Cadgwith and the house in the future.

    Miriam2018-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Moonsail is a perfect cottage above Cadgwith Cove. The place is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We were walking the coast path and it was convenient to be able to walk home one day and continue down the road for the next. There is a five-ten minute walk down to the pub and sea. Fiona and her family were welcoming and communication was good. I would recommend booking this cottage.

The weather was very varied but we had a peaceful and relaxing stay. Lynette is a warm and friendly host and responds to all the messages quickly. Definitely a recommended host and cottage.

Great location within the village, tucked just off the street providing seclusion and a little protection from the worst of the winter weather. Lynette couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. A thoroughly enjoyable stay, we’re sure to return.

  • A fantastic few days spent in the Riverside cabin. Friendly and helpful hosts. Nice to meet the dogs and chickens. The cabin was very snug and ideally situated as a base to explore the local area. Lovely breakfast with fresh eggs provided at a small extra cost. Local pub only a short distance away with great food and we were lucky to be there when some sea shanties were being sang. This really added to our evening. We weren't even put off with the hill walk on the way back to the cabin. We would recommend this as a place to stay😊

Birdsong Studio is situated just a 10 minute walk from the beautiful Cadgwith Cove in a small quiet hamlet providing very comfortable accommodation for two people. The studio comprises large living/dining/kitchen area with Sky TV. Patio doors look out to the garden and the fields beyond.
Cadgwith Cove is perhaps one of the most beautiful fishing villages in Cornwall where you can watch the boats sail in and out of the cove. Enjoy a meal at the Cadgwith Cove Inn or the Old Cellars restaurant or sample fresh fish and shellfish from the two shops. Also there are two arts and craft shops.
  • Lovely garden apartment, overlooking fields and a pretty garden, with good privacy from the main house. Parking on the drive and fresh bread smells coming from next door every day. 5 mins woodland walk to the cove and sea - an amazingly pretty village with a great pub and good food. Fishing trips, swimming in the sea and coastal path. Loved this place.

    Rob2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very welcoming . Good communication and great hospitality . Birdsong studio was a fab base , perfect for relaxing in and good location for coastal walks and exploring the Lizard. Really recommend this accomodation .

    Louise2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Birdsong. Clean, comfortable, well equipped. A perfect size for 2. Beautiful views, we loved watching the cows in the field opposite in the evenings, and looking out for foxes too. Gorgeous location, plenty of walks along the coast and good food to be had. We were blessed with great weather but had we not been so lucky, we would have been quite happy relaxing at the studio with a good book or two, and the wine and bread left out to welcome us to the cottage. Can't recommend enough!

    Beth2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • This accommodation is so cozy and cozy! Quiet and undisturbed with access to nice patio and garden. Every morning, freshly baked bread smelled because Debbie's husband is a baker. So good bread that we enjoyed every morning! The apartment is nicely furnished and very comfortable. The location is perfect within walking distance to the wonderful village of Cadgwith. An old fishing village with a cozy pub, where there were live music several evenings. There are endless possibilities for fantastic walks along the coast and in the beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed it very well!

    Karin2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent in every respect. Accommodation, location, welcome, and facilities.

    John2019-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had an wonderful break in Birdsong Studio. The place itself was impeccably clean, comfortable and nicely decorated, it’s actually nicer than it looks in the photos. The location is perfect, on a quiet country road, in the middle of lush fields. Debbie recommended some great walks and we enjoyed the delicious artisan bread her husband bakes and sells on a small stall outside the cottage each morning. There’s also a diary farm nearby to pick up fresh local produce.

The Cabin is situated at The Orchard, Bruggan Nr Cadgwith. Nestling in a wooded valley about 10 mins walk from Cadgwith Cove.
Location is quiet and peaceful for a relaxing holiday
  • Marcia and her husband are great hosts being warm and welcoming from when we first met. The Cabin is a charming place to stay, full of light and decorated to represent south cornish modern style. The many facilities (wifi, mains electricity, fridge, shower-room etc) make it easy to stay there. The sofa-bed was very comfortable with ample storage underneath. Besides the fact that The Cabin is in a quiet dead-end lane, it's only a 15 minute walk into Cadgwith village and the nearest pub! We loved it, wish we were still there and definitely hope to return before too long.

  • Wow, what a lovely place. Let’s go through the good points: excellent hosts, amazing location, and perfect little cabin. Marcia and Keith were very friendly and made us feel so welcome and at home. Just a 10 minute walk to the town where we had a lovely lunch and lovely dinner. I would highly recommend to everyone xx

  • Great little place for exploring the Lizard, very clean & comfortable and Marcia left coffee, milk, scones and tea for us which was much appreciated after a 300 mile journey, would recommend and visit again.

  • Absolutely fantastic and a superb location. Marcia is a wonderful host and has some very handy tips regarding the local area. We will be back !!

  • Gorgeous little cabin in a beautiful location. Place was spotless clean and Marcia and her husband were wonderful hosts, making sure we had what we needed. Enough cooking facilities to make a nice dinner and a comfortable sofa bed. Walking distance to Cadgwith Cove where we had a wonderful meal at the Cadgwith Cove Inn.

    Mette2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was a perfect, peaceful getaway! Marcia is amazing host. The amenities were fantastic. Super clean, well stocked with anything you may need. Just a short drive or walk to beaches, coves and picturesque villages (Cadgwith is a beautiful fishing village 10 min walk) Shops, pubs and fish and chips easily accessible. Great for a short or long break.

Beautiful barn within gorgeous wooded countryside located only a short walk to the beach and coastal path. Poltesco valley is a wonderful place to stay at all times of the year. Our visitors are attracted to the South West Coastal Path - Kennack Sands, Lizard Point and the traditional fishing village of Cadgwith are all within walking distance. 2 night stays considered. One well behaved dog welcome (Praze Piggery has its own garden).
Praze Piggery is a beautiful bright Barn which has its own garden. There is a small kitchen with an oven and a fridge. Household items are supplied. There is a large sofa bed on the living room and a double bed in the en-suite bedroom. There is BT broadband, TV and a DVD player for your use and a selection of books, DVD’s and games to play.
It’s only a 5-10 minute stroll to the coastal path and Carleon Cove and a 25 minute walk to the fishing harbour of Cadgwith Harbour with a great pub. Kennack sands with a great sandy beach is also within walking distance. A walk or short drive away is Kynance Cove and lizard point. Within half an hour’s drive you could visit Porthleven, Helston and Falmouth.

3 bed charming fisherman's cottage in the picturesque village of Cadgwith, very close to beach, Inn, shops & cafes, spectacular scenery from the coastal paths. Enjoy alfresco meals in the south facing garden & explore the beautiful beaches. Up to two dogs welcome. Parking space and wifi.
Features of this cottage date back to the 16th Century, the staircase is believed to have been salvaged from a shipwreck. The cottage has ample room for guests, with 3 bedrooms, lounge area with woodburning stove, dining area, two shower rooms (one with w.c.) and additional w.c.
Pebbles is yards from the beach and also close to the village pub. There is parking alongside the cottage. Cadgwith Cove is a beautiful fishing village, one of the last few coves where the small boats work from. Cadgwith featured in Monty Hall's 'The Fisherman's Apprentice'. The coast path walks from the cove are spectacular and dogs are allowed on fishing beach all year round. Cadgwith Cove Inn is a great family pub with a roaring fire in cold weather and sea shanties most Friday evenings. The food includes local fish and shellfish and The Old Cellars is famed for its cream teas and freshly made donuts. Cadgwith Cove Crab offers delicious crab sandwiches - you can even try spider crab. Cadgwith is close to the Lizard Village - five minutes by car or an hour's walk across 'double hedges'. We are happy to advise on local walks, restaurants and places to visit.
  • Pebbles is the most amazing location. Firstly, you are basically in the pub garden, which is brilliant as the pub is very much the heart of the village. Our kids were able to wander freely around the village and the south west coast path is on your door step (literally). Amazing walks, amazing beaches, and amazing food. The Cadgwith Cove inn does an amazing Sunday lunch. Pebbles cottage is lovely as a base. It had everything we needed, and had a lot of history. There are a few things in the cottage that would benefit from an update, but nothing that would raise any concerns at all. Go, you’ll love it!

    Tom2018-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Pebbles was the perfect place to stay in Cadgwith, slap bang in the centre of this wonderful working cove, with the added bonus of parking and dog friendly.

  • Little Pentire is an amazing little holiday hut that is beautifully furnished and includes everything you need for a weekend getaway. It’s situated in a perfect location that’s close to all shops and services in Lizard and equally as close to the coast. Definitely fell in love with the surrounding area and the little abode we stayed in. Definitely worth coming to!

  • Lovely little spot you won’t regret staying here, very comfortable and central to the village with 2 cracking pubs a 2 minute stroll away. The area is awesome, dump your car and walk from home to the coast path 15 minutes away and then it’s a fabulous one hour walk to Cadgwith cove, another great pub there too! Or turn west and the awesome Kynance Cove is beautiful 2 hour walk away on the coast path, no pub but a lovely National Trust cafe. Rachel and Alan are terrific hosts who made the suggestions I have described and others we hadn’t got the time for, so we’ll be back soon!

  • Our stay at Little Pentire was cosy and comfortable. Rachel's directions and communications were excellent. She and Alan were friendly and made us feel at home.
  • We had a short stay at Little Gwendreath, Stephen and Sarah were great hosts and communication was excellent. The welcome cream tea on arrival was a great surprise. The beach is only 15 minutes walk away but after all the recent rain the footpath is a bit muddy! All in all this is lovely peaceful place, away from it all but close enough to all the beautiful place on the Lizard peninsula.

    Chris2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great hosts, great place to stay. A nice track to the nearby beach. Resonably local supermarket. The cottage itself was well kept and had everything we needed. The facilities inside were great and having a collection of books and dvds was great for when it was raining. Highly recommended.

  • The apartment is really beautiful, spacious and full of little special furniture details. It was perfectly cleaned, equipped with everything if you want to cook, use the washing machine or the dish washing. There is a beautiful natural light in the flat due to the large window in the dining room. We really appreciated the welcome with fresh flowers and with the bottle of milk in the fridge. There was a special parfume in the flat and I really liked it. It is perfectly located in the center of Mullion and you can walk everywhere. The car parking is free and very close to the flat. Mullion is really a special place so I definitely recommend this place to visit Cornwall and do all the footpath close to the flat. Our 2 kids really like the flat and the experience, so we hope to come back there again. Richard and Liz have been very professional and replied very quickly to our requests.

We have a lovely Mobile home for holiday let. It is set in a private tranquil spot with plenty of parking and a secret garden for sole use. It backs onto the moors where a little walk will take you to Kynance cove. We are not on any holiday park so it would be more suited to couples and older children looking for a peaceful, quieter holiday. There are a few shops within 1 mile for everyday essentials and several places to eat. A short drive can lead you to many beautiful coves and beaches
The home is fully equipped and all bedding included but you will need to bring your own towels
Kynance cove is beautiful and within walking distance but there is a beach car park within 5 mins should you want to avoid the walk

  • We had a lovely time in Lizard at James’s Former Fishermans Store. The apartment is a stone’s throw from the pub and shops, in a quiet part of a very quiet village. The apartment was very clean and James had thoughtfully left a few supplies for us in the kitchen. The room is quite small - which is ideal for us as we spent the days and evenings exploring the area and just needed a base where we could lay our heads - there is however still room for the breakfast table and two chairs, next to the bed. The bed could do with a slightly more supportive mattress and the property would benefit from WiFi - especially as mobile coverage is very patchy (as you’d expect) - and there is no landline, so we were a little worried about not being contactable in an emergency (our son was on the other side of the world whilst we were here) - but those are the only improvement suggestions I can think of. And, emergency contact aside, it was actually really nice to be free of the distractions of modern life for a couple of days. We absent-mindedly left 2 drinks containers in the fridge after checking out and James was super helpful assisting us in tracking down the cleaning woman (who was also lovely!) to retrieve them. We can’t wait to come back to Lizard and would love to stay in the Former Fishermans Store again - thank you James!

We definitely recommend and will be back for more soon.

  • Cosy cottage is a lovely cottage in a fantastic location. Despite its size, it was kitted out with everything you could need. The bedding was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything you'd need. We went with our almost 1 year old puppy who absolutely loved the location. It's a couple of miles from an all year round dog friendly beach (we found many other areas of Cornwall were only dog friendly during off season) and a mile from the most beautiful cove for dog walks. All in all a fantastic trip. Thank you to the hosts.

    Natalie2018-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely little place. Hidden away very close to Lizard any further south and your swimming in the Atlantic. Loved our stay, Liz and her fella (I didnt catch his name) were lovely. Looked after my partner when she thought i got lost getting fish and chips. If we come to cornwall again we would love to stay here. P.S if your dog is a bird chaser bring a lead, and dont stroke the rooster my partner nearly ended up in a cock fight

  • We stayed for a long weekend with one dog. Great place in a good location for visiting the Lizard peninsular and Southern part of Cornwall. Light and airy space. Tastefully decorated with a nautical theme. The kitchen is well equipped and the lounge area is a comfortable space to relax in. Ruan Minor has a lovely Post Office, shop and a small cafe inside. Cadgwith is a short walk down a steep hill. Take the torch for the walk back in the dark. The Cadgwith Cove Inn is very welcoming for dogs and the food was excellent. Alison kindly left us a blanket, towel and biscuit for the dog and we had a bottle of milk, cider and some nice biscuits which was very much appreciated. I would recommend this place for a break in Cornwall.

  • Stayed for a week in Stargazey and was very impressed; the place was clean, cosy but spacious and had a great seaside vibe. It was ideally located for our needs; spent most days at Kennack Sands, but also enjoyed a couple of walks to Cadgwith. The local shop was very well stocked, having everything we might need (including Leggy's pasties). Alison is a great host and very helpfully loaned us a hairdryer. I would definitely recommend and would be happy to return.

  • Good accommodation for a family with small children with great access to Cadgwith Cove and the Lizard Peninsula

    Chris2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely well maintained and kitted out apartment, 10 min walk from the cove with its lovely pub and restaurant. I am Cornish (so somewhat biased!), but this is one of my favourite spots, still a working fishing village with a strong community and the best crab sandwiches!

    Nicky2019-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect spot for exploring the Lizard and further afield - walking distance to Cadgwith Cove and a few doors away from good village shop and play park. Lovely little, quiet village. The bungalow was nice and open with small but attractive garden - ideal for our one year old. Check in and parking all straightforward. We would definitely return if visiting the area again.

  • We just had a lovely stay at Stargazey. My husband & I attended a wedding in Ruan Minor and the house could not have been better situated - right by the church, local shop, and Cornish pasty shop; a very quick walk to the Cadgwith Cove pub; perfectly placed for some scenic walks - it was an ideal location to relax in between the festivities. The house itself was clean and comfortable, and there was tea/coffee/milk available on our arrival. The host was also very flexible in allowing us to add 1 additional adult guest to the reservation several months after we had initially booked for just the 2 of us. Thanks for the lovely stay!

    Marina2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little apartment in a brilliant location. 10 mins walk to an excellent pub and a short drive to Kynance cove which is very beautiful. The Carpenter's Hut - situated in Cadgwith Cove with amazing views - a light airy space for two people with the character of a traditional wooden hut built originally for the local carpenter.
As you approach the village of Cadgwith you will find The Carpenter`s Hut situated just 200 yards away from the beach. Set back from the road this cottage was originally built as the old carpenter`s shop. What a lucky carpenter! You wonder how any work was done as the views of the sea, the beach and the cliffs are second to none. Your pastime will be watching the fishing boats set sail or simply observing the seagulls flying by. With convenient parking just outside and both a small garden and patio area this is just the spot for a very relaxing holiday. If you feel you can leave this lovely place then it is also easy to travel further afield to see Cornwall`s treasures. The Carpenter`s Hut has been recently renovated and refurbished and so provides very comfortable accommodation with views from every window.ACCOMMODATION: ENTRANCE: GROUND FLOOR: OPEN PLAN LIVING AREA: KITCHEN AREA fully equipped with electric hob and oven, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher, microwave. DINING AREA: with table and chairs. LOUNGE AREA: with comfortable sofa, TV and DVD player. DOWNSTAIRS to DOUBLE BEDROOM: with raised cabin style bed. Door leads to lower garden area. SHOWER ROOM: with walk in shower, WC, wash basin and heated towel rail. GARDEN/PATIO: with outdoor table and chairs. HEATING: electric heating. PARKING: private off-road space beside the entrance to the property. SPECIAL NOTES: Towels provided. This cottage is unsuitable for the infirm as the stairs are narrow and steep and the bed is a raised cabin style bed.
Cadgwith Cove itself has a great pub - the Cadgwith Cove Inn, the Old Cellars Cafe and a shop selling fresh fish, crab and lobster. Only a short walk away is Ruan Minor with a grocery and cafe.
  • Loved this cosy place! Tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable! Beautifully located and very cosy. Milk and brownies were on arrival! The view of the sea was amazing and we had a gorgeous time away :) Would definitely come back!

  • My boyfriend and I stayed at Debbie's place for four nights and it was the perfect getaway. The location is fantastic if you are looking for a quiet, seaside escape. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and highly recommend it.

    Lindsey2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was a dream getaway. The hut has the best view and is cosy, comfortable and has everything you could want. The sea and the village are just a short walk down the hill. Off road parking was handy too. The highlight was having coffee on the sofa looking out to sea.

    Lawrence2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in the Carpenter's hut. It is a lovely little place and with a beautiful view and everything is set out very thoughtfully. Parking next to the hut was an added bonus as Cadgwith can be difficult to navigate by car.

    Charlotte2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • The carpenters hut is literally perfect! Cadgwith it’s self is so peaceful and unspoilt. We were lucky enough to enjoy the beach BBQ whilst we were there, tried shark for the first time! Extremely friendly locals and we even won first prize in the raffle! The hut is so pretty and has beautiful original features. Lovely little touches when we arrived; flowers, milk and brownies 😀. The view from the hut is gorgeous, you can enjoy it from the patio (we ate out there every day) or from the comfy sofa, it really is so lovely. Although Cadgwith is a quiet fishing cove it is a great base for exploring with great walks and short drives to other coves. Thank you for sharing your little corner of paradise with us 😀 x

    Laura2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • The Carpenter's Hut offers fantastic views to the old village and to the coast - right from the Sofa and the terrace. That alone - amongst man others reasons - would be a reason to come back.

    Johannes2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • The Carpenter's Hut is gorgeous. The little touches, the beautiful views. I could live there all year round 😊

    Suze2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • The Carpenters hut was a little gem, everything you need has been thought of, from wifi to washing up liquid. We had three nights here, and loved it, even the weather was fantastic. Our break was just a little get away to recharge our batteries, and it was just the job. The views from the lounge window are great, you can just sit and watch the ships and fishing boats go by, and there are a pair of binoculars to give you a closer look. The outside sitting area has been revamped since the photos were taken, and we took full advantage with a bottle of wine sitting in the late afternoon sunshine. If it's peace and quiet you are after then this is for you, the only sounds you can hear are the birds. Just a word of advice for future customers, the stairs are very narrow and quite steep and the bed is fairly high, so not sure if it's suitable for older people. If it helps, my wife and I are in our 50's and we managed. Thank you Debbie, we would definitely recommend The Carpenters hut to our friends. 👍🏼

We are not far from the South West Coast Path, about 10 minutes walk. Being about halfway between Cadgwith and Lizard Point. The Cadgwith Cove Inn have events every night of the week and provide excellent evening food,we recommend booking a table! They are popular. We can help arranging a food delivery service -the best Thai Food we have had from Jumunjy which we are happy for this to be eaten in our Breakfast Room.
We are located in a quiet countryside spot, as the crow flies... about halfway between Lizard Village and Cadgwith Cove. Whilst it is easy to get around by car, this area is best for walkers and footpaths to each of the villages are of almost equal distance - we can tell you the shortcuts! Another thing people may not realise, we are in a 'Dark Sky' Area. There is no streetlight pollution and the most magnificent night skies can be seen from here, almost better than anywhere else in the South - possibly even the whole of the UK.

  • This cottage is a gem! Based in a remote but very accessible part of Cornwall, this cottage is perfect for families and dog lovers. Alison the host is brilliant, so responsive and made our stay extra special with her helpful tips and nice touches such as a welcome card and dog biscuits, plus a cream tea for us! The local area is beautiful and within a short driving distance to major supermarkets however, there is a fab post office and shop directly across the road from the house. We drove to Padstone, St Ives and Porthleven to name but a few places. The cottage is spacious, clean and a real find. We’ll definitely be back :)

  • Lovely, spacious property, very bright with patio doors opening onto the garden. It was great to have the little shop/cafe opposite the house for food essentials. Very much enjoyed the pub at Cadgwith Cove, just 10 minutes walk away ( quite steep), where the fishermen sing on Friday evenings and they also have an open mic night on Wednesdays. Food is also great at the pub. Lovely coastal walks from the house, no need to take the car. We had a great time and found it hard to leave!

    Judy2018-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely two bedroom apartment, very clean (at first, we thought we were the first guests). Kitchen had all pots, pans, utensils for cooking with a handy local store over the road. 5 minute walk to Cadgwith and the coastal path, and an ideal base to going walking from. We were there over Christmas, and the hosts put up a tree, laid out crackers, and left mulled wine and minced pies as a welcome treat. Highly recommended, and thank you.

Campion Cottage is a delightful traditional thatched cottage in Cadgwith Cove, one of the prettiest fishing villages in Cornwall
Campion Cottage is a traditional thatched cottage with whitewashed walls and pale blue windows nestling into the hillside of Cadgwith cove. This is a very pretty cottage only 50 yards from the sea and the beach. Guests often wander the few yards with their morning cup of coffee to watch the fishing boats and all the daily activity on the beach. The cottage catches the evening sun so you can relax with a glass of wine and make your plans for the next day (or not-as you wish). It is situated at the entrance to the cliff path leading you to Poltesco and Kennack Sands - perhaps one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline on the Lizard Peninsula. The old beams and granite inglenook fireplace remind you of days gone by, but you have all the advantages of open plan living with a fully modernised kitchen, and WiFi to keep in touch with the real world. It is a delightful and cheerful place to stay for your seaside holiday, close to the pub, restaurant and shops in the cove.
Cadgwith Cove offers a great traditional pub with an open fire and brilliant food. Also there is a fresh fish shop, two gift shops, a cafe set in an old pilchard cellar. Not far away you will find all the towns such as St Ives, Falmouth and Penzance - it is a great place from which to explore the area.
  • A charming little house in the middle of a beautiful and idyllic area! After two weeks we felt connected to the village and the inhabitants. We are a bit wistful but very relaxed and happy again.

  • What a wonderful cottage, great location and beautifully furnished and very clean. Highly recommend it for a family holiday.

  • To be honest I don't want to review this cottage as I want to keep it to myself but I will. Absolutely amazing and gorgeous period thatched cottage, great layout, the area is also fantastic and quirky, the drive in to the cove is an experience, the local pub does amazing food, the mussels, king prawns in garlic and lobster where all fresh and delicious, the local residents are friendly and are interesting especially the working fishermen as it's worth taking the time to have a chat with them, the little art gallery is also worth a visit to purchase some local art mementoes from your stay and the proprietor is really nice.

    Stefan2019-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Campion Cottage and Cadgwith. The cottage was stunning and beautifully quaint, useful tips on what to do and info on nearby locations. Lovely fireplace, we really enjoyed staying here, we will definitely come back!

  • If you want to experience an authentic cornish cottage then this is the place for you. Equipped with everything you need. Comfy beds, electric blankets. A stones throw away from the local pub. Great location to visit other places on the Lizard or beautiful enough to stay put and enjoy Cadgwith itself. WiFi in the cottage worked perfectly, which was great as little to no reception for mobile until you get a little higher outside the village. On entering the cottage we were greeted with milk, coffee and biscuits. Perfect for a cuppa after a long journey.

Beautiful barn within gorgeous wooded countryside located only a short walk to the beach and coastal path. Poltesco valley is a wonderful place to stay at all times of the year. Our visitors are attracted to the South West Coastal Path - Kynance Cove, Lizard Point and the traditional fishing village of Cadgwith are all within walking distance. The barn is popular for couples looking for a romantic get away as well as friends who enjoy the amazing walks on the nearby coastal path.
Praze Barn is a comfortable, peaceful, romantic and we hope, inspiring hideaway. It’s a cottage we are proud to own and a place you’ll want to return to. It’s located in a quiet position in the middle of the beautiful countryside of the Lizard Peninsula but only a short walk to the amazing, dramatic coastline. Praze Barn is an 1830’s stone and cob Barn which has been lovingly renovated. Praze Barn sits within the grounds of the owners home, a 4 acre small holding bordered by national trust land. There is a fully fitted kitchen with a fridge, oven dishwasher and washing machine. Household items are supplied. A wood burner will keep you warm on cooler nights (with a plentiful supply of logs) and there are comfortable places to sit and relax in the evening. The bedroom is spacious, with a hint of luxury and there is space for a cot (not provided). We have just purchased a new king size zip and link bed so Praze Barn is suitable for friends and couples alike. There is BT broadband, a TV and DVD player, a Bose iPod docking station and lots of books and games to play.
  • Praze barn is a lovely quaint and cosy little building nestled in a really quiet and picturesque area. We loved the details Frances and Stuart put into the barn with little character nods to the local area which made it feel really homely. The place was lovely and clean and was well stocked equipment wise for what we needed in the kitchen. The area has very little light pollution so we'd definitely recommend sitting in the little seating area out front at night on a clear sky for an absolutely breath taking view! It's also very close to the coastal path which was great! We came in mid Feb and found the place delightful so we're planning on returning to praze barn in spring/summer to explore the area in all its glory. We struggled to connect to the Internet on the first day and Frances was great popping over to sort us out -the oat milk was a nice personal touch left by Frances on learning we are vegan. 10/10 would recommend!

  • Praze Barn is the perfect spot for a countryside getaway. We spent Christmas here and it was the most peaceful spot. The log burner made the place so cosy, and there was everything we needed to cook dinner and have a wonderful stay. I’d recommend this barn to anyone looking for a peaceful time whether you fancy exploring the beautiful Lizard peninsula or whether you’re looking for a total relax, or both like us! Thank you so much Frances and Stu for your hospitality and all the local tips.

  • A compact place, but very well designed and so perfect cosy place for 2. Everything was in pristine condition. Milk and brownies a welcome addition. Great location, with access to walks , countryside and coast path.

  • We stayed in the new renovated barn. It exceeded our expectations. It was warm, cosy, very clean and comfortable. The location is superb. My boyfriend being a keen surfer there was a beach just a couple of minutes down the road, with many more to explore. The coastal walks were amazing. Despite it not being great weather we still had a fantastic time. There were so great places to eat. The Thai restaurant just a few minutes up the road is worth a visit. Their food and hospitality was great. There were some lovely finishing touches to our accommodation which made you feel just at home. Sally and John were amazing. Very polite welcoming and knowledgable of the area. They leave you to it but are also accessible if you need them. Thank you again. It made our visit to Cornwall very special.

The surrounding area is also really lovely and we had so much to explore, as well as enjoying the views and nature surrounding the barn itself. Would definitely recommend and would love to go back again!

  • This beautifully stylish and spacious barn provided everything and more we needed for a fabulous Cornish break. We appreciated the warm welcome, the tranquil garden view, the sumptuous bed with its pure linen, the amazing rain shower, the cool surf board collection and so many other details. The local beaches are fabulous too and close by. This barn is a hidden gem in a stunning part of Cornwall.

A quirky little cottage.perfect for a romantic break. they are both decorated in seaside blue an white. all bedding is of the highest quality and the beds are very comfy. they are very well equipped .
The cottage is all on one level
we are in a rural setting so nature abounds
  • The little cottage was just so lovely ...as was the whole pretty little farm with the funny little chickens & ducks roaming around (children, don't miss the evening chicken cuddling before they are put safely in their coop for the night!). The owners are the most lovely people you could meet, Liz's amazing warmth & hospitality made it just one of the best holiday experiences we have ever had. She gave us lots of tips & directions & is always willing to help in any way she can. The site is close to many stunning & scenic little coves. We travelled by motorbike & also rode down to The Lizard, Helston, Penzance, Falmouth & a little further to St Ives, Hayle Towans. Also on our list was Gweek Seal Sanctuary plus the nearby chocolate factory. It is a very small place with just a window to watch them making the chocolate but they have a good shop full of their extremely delicious treats. There is also a nice cafe & a few little shops plus a nice walk past the llamas down to Mullion Cove or along the scenic coastal path to Poldur Cove. There is also the old cider barn just down the road but we didn't go there so can't comment on that. The nearest pub is about a 45 min walk down to Cadgwith cove but a local taxi can be hired to get you back if you don't fancy walking back again (we walked both ways). They serve good food & the pretty little cove is worth seeing. The nearest supermarket with petrol station is Sainsbury a few miles drive toward Helston (there is also a little privately owned petrol station just up the road from the farm. The price was the same as Sainsbury but not self service. The man comes out & fills up for you!). There is a Lidl store in Helston & nearer by in Mullion Village they have a Coop & Spar but prices high so we only bought a few items before stocking up at Lidls the next day. The little farm has a cafe on site serving delicious food (check opening times with Liz on arrival). We would definitely, totally recommend Trethvas Farm, it really is special little paradise on earth. We will treasure our memories of our wonderful holiday there for years to come & hope to return again in the future.

  • You will have a wonderful time. Liz and Mike are very helpful and hospitable

    Martina2018-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Liz and Mike were the perfect hosts - they even made a reservation at the local pub to ensure we'd have a table on a busy Friday night. The cottage is cozy and clean and is the ideal spot to get away from everything. The Lizard Peninsula is such a beautiful, hidden area of Cornwall, I'd definitely recommend staying here.

    Jessica2018-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • Had an amazingly chilled and relaxed stay in this lovely cottage and lovely site. Liz is very friendly and welcoming, full of helpful advice and recommendations on where to visit. Perfectly situated for long dog walks and exploring the naturally beautiful countryside. So peaceful and quiet. We would not hesitate in recommending this wonderful cottage to friends and family. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was powerful and hot. We will definitely love to come and stay again. Big thank you.

  • Such a cozy and charming house with beautiful views of the sea. The hosts are helpful and friendly and live right next door. They were so kind to me, and I was traveling alone, so they helped me with several things. Nigel even made a special trip for me to Cadgwith and gave me a tour showing me several different places. You can walk to shops and pubs, great location, very clean home, wonderful place in the Lizard. I hope to be back again soon!

  • This is an exceptional place for a couple seeking a warm, cozy and quiet retreat in a stunning location. The place included everything we could possibly need during our stay. Anne’s thoughtful and timely communication ensured an easy check-in, and that we were well informed before our arrival in respect to local amenities and their hours of operation over the holidays. We would not hesitate to give The Forge our highest recommendation to prospective travellers to The Lizard. Thank you for an incredible stay!

    Luke2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • The Forge is the perfect getaway for a couple or two friends. I imagine it would be lovely in Summer, but it was just as nice in Winter as the space is really warm and cosy. We sat on the sofa, looking out at the stormy sea and hearing the wind outside but feeling warm and snug. The cottage is really relaxing and peaceful; a haven away from busy life. We were only away for a few days and still felt like we’d had a good detox from work. It is the ideal location for coastal walks straight from the door, as well as village amenities like pub, restaurant and shops just 5 minutes away. Ann is a lovely host. Would highly recommend The Forge.

    Beth2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • fantastic hosts fantastic property fantastic value fantastic location easy access to village, coastal path & the rest of the local area, sea views perfect, nice outside area, multiple bars & restaurants within a 5 minute walk. pretty much hourly bus links available throughout the local area thank you for a fantastic week.

  • Nice cottage with great seaviews in a silent village. Perfect location to walk the South West Coast Path. Ann is a thoughtful host. Pub/restaurant, shops and bus stop are in walking distance. Highly recommended.

    Georg2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy cottage with sea views. Close proximity to the Coast Path and village amenities. Good selection of places to eat or purchase pre-prepared from a lady nearby.

    Julia2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Would I go back again? YES I certainly would. All the touches to make you feel welcome, scones and fresh cream, milk in the fridge, which is needed for a nice cup of tea after a long journey. The view is amazing and it's so peaceful. All very handy for some gorgeous coastal walks. The near by village holds some very polite shop owners and employees and some very nice places to eat.

My place is close to great views and parks. You’ll love my place because of the location, the views, and the cosiness. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).
South facing two bedroom property in close proximity to the Lizard Peninsula. Plenty of outside space to relax. Only a short drive to Mullion Cove, The Lizard, Roskilly's Ice-cream, Flambards and many other attractions. Pet friendly accommodation. The Lizard Peninsula with its dramatic coastline has been designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty, close by there are sandy beaches, the South West coastal footpath and the magnificent sailing waters of the Helford River are within easy reach. The Lizard village itself is a short drive away and has a range of amenities that include a post office, food stores, and butchers and there are also a number of well regarded public houses and restaurants. The property has one double bed and two single beds along shower room and kitchen.
Enjoy the south facing BBQ on the patio, or put your feet up and enjoy peace and quiet.
  • Enjoyed our stay. Very warm, clean and cosy. Would definitely use again. Great communication. Thanks

  • Love staying here would highly recommend. Situated in a beautiful part of Cornwall. Great beaches & walks.

  • Small, clean and well-equipped accommodation. Perfectly located to discover this beautiful region of the absolutely magnificent Lizard.

    Annie2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a gem. So well located in the lizard. 5 min to kynance cove, 5 min to lizard, 10 to mullion, 15 min to Gunwalloe church cove. Only 2.5 miles to kennack Sands beach. You do not have to drive a lot to get to such lovely places. The chalet is modern with lovely furniture and so well designed. Everything you need is there. It is small 2 bed but the price reflects it. We went with our two children and found it fine for our stay for 4 days. Behind the park is Predanack airfield and 15 min drive Predanack wolas where some horse riding scenes were filmed for Podark. There are 4 patio chairs outside and two tables and you can have a barbecue if you wish (we went in October so probably not a good idea haha). I fully recommend this place if you love to visit Lizard.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Perfect for a couple like us who want a central location in Cornwall to explore and go wildlife watching. This gorgeous place had everything we needed, was very clean and tidy. Although there was no wardrobe, the second bedroom was perfect to store our bags and belongings. I mentioned we were vegan before arriving so no complimentary milk/biscuits would go to waste, but I was extremely delighted to find vegan biscuits and soya milk - a very thoughtful gesture after a long drive, thank you! The only thing that would have been a bonus is wi-fi as there is poor signal in the area. I personally love being 'off grid' from the internet for a while, but it's handy to have to load google maps etc. to plan our route for our journeys around the area. Thanks again, we'd love to come back next year!

Marlea is a beautiful sunny bungalow set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. A short walk across the wooden bridge and field behind will take you straight to the Devils Frying Pan. Here lies the South West coast path. Cadgwith is a tiny fishing village with a friendly pub 5 minutes walk away, serving great food and local ales. We are 3 miles from Lizard point and there are several beaches nearby.
Marlea has beautiful gardens front and rear. We have 2 friendly dogs and welcome guests with dogs so long as they are friendly. We have our own free range hens and a cockerel so there are always freshly laid eggs for breakfast. Cadgwith is an area of outstanding natural beauty and the sea is just at the end of the lane. There are lots of beautiful beaches a short drive away including the famous Kynance Cove. We are 3 miles from Lizard point. 10 miles from Helston which is our closest big town. There are several shops and supermarkets there. Also Flambards theme park which is great for all the family.
Cadgwith is a beautiful fishing village nestled in a quiet harbour. The South West Coast path goes right across the Cove and continues along the sea front behind our property. The Cadgwith Cove inn is a beautiful old tavern selling a variety of local ales and gins. There is a quiz night on Mondays, Folk night Tuesdays, Curry night Wednesday and Fridays are not to be missed. There you will find the famous Cadgwith Singers. There is a small shop in the Cove for essentials, also in Ruan Minor there is a larger shop with a Post Office. These are all within walking distance of our bungalow. Three miles away, along the coast path you will come to The Lizard. There are a variety of quaint little shops and pubs there. This is also where you will find the famous Lizard Light House at Lizard Point. There are several beaches nearby including the stunning Kynance Cove. This is an area of outstanding natural beauty owned by the National Trust.
  • Julie and her husband are a lovely couple who moved from the city to the country. They have fully embraced the village and country lifestyle with chickens. 3 rescue dogs and home grown veggies. They made me feel welcome and promoted the local area well. Location is great for a quiet outdoor retreat, coastal walks and a good base to explore other parts of the south west of Cornwall.
