  • Second weekend in a row staying here. Was supposed to have a work event nearby, but it was cancelled. I liked the spot so much, I came anyway and called it a vacation. Theresa and her family are very welcoming, and the place is beautiful and super-relaxing. Highly recommended.

    Katie2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic. Clean and quiet, great shower, view is amazing, the hospitality was over the top! Theresa and Kevin have thought of everything you might possibly need to have a comfortable stay (some of my favorites were heated bathroom floor, yoga mat, magazines, and lighted makeup mirror). Back next week again for work, and I can't wait.

  • Amazing condo for a great price. Pictures don’t do it justice, everything is new, modern, and sparkling clean. The water is viewable from the living room and the dock allows for a great view of the sunset. Theresa was a great host and provided everything you will need and more. Highly recommend visiting!

  • We had another wonderful and enjoyable stay.

    April2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment is incredibly clean, lovely, and hospitable. Kevin and Teresa add small touches that make a big impact. We were greeted with a handwritten sign and fresh cookies. All instructions were clear and there were helpful resources for surrounding attractions. Don't hesitate to book, this place is a gem!

    Sara2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This place is absolutely lovely. Theresa is a great host who is responsive and puts very thoughtful touches all over the apartment. I almost don’t want anyone to know about this place so we can keep going back :). Highly recommend.

Concerts at the college in the summer on Friday's. Inquire first on pets before booking, 25lb max on 1 or 2 combined together. Our cottage is completely disinfected after each guest, including the key.

What makes the Lazy Bear Cottage unique is how quiet the area is, no speed boats, no skiers, just pure quietness. So if you want to get away and relax, this is the place to stay. What we love about Moll Cove, every morning, 8am, the National Anthem's music will wave over the water, and evenings, you will hear taps play, signaling that the evening is coming to an end. Herons landing on our pier at times.
  • The tiny house is just as described. Cute, beautiful location, and with everything that you need for a weekend away, including a break from the Internet. I hope to come back!

    Renee Michelle2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at the Lazy Bear Cottage! It was the perfect size for a weekend trip as a couple -- very cute and cozy -- and the setting is beautiful. Lovely to be able to roll out of bed and watch the sunrise on the water. Nancy and her husband were super welcoming and friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

    Shannon2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • This little cottage is so adorable and has absolutely everything you’d need! The only thing you don’t have is WiFi, but when you’re escaping to relax, it’s awesome to not be able to be disturbed! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 It’s so quiet and we loved sleeping with the windows open and listening to the outdoors. Being right on the water is AMAZING and there’s bound to be a blue heron almost anytime you step outside! Also, the kayak is one of the best parts about staying here. You get to see schools of fish, blue herons, seagulls, bald eagles and other critters and you can paddle all the way out to Saint Mary’s River which touches the Potomac! So much fun to stay here! Nancy and her husband are great hosts and we love staying with them! This was our second time. They’re super helpful too! One night I needed some milk for a recipe I was making and Nancy brought it over herself! Awesome location and great hosts!

  • Wonderful place right on the water, beautiful little cottage and thoughtful hosts.

    Anya2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was by far one of the best B&B’s I’ve stayed in. A perfect, quaint little place for relaxation, rest and peace. The hosts are so welcoming and the house has such sweet personal touches that makes you feel right at home. Would absolutely stay again!

    Kyla2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lazy Bear Cottage faces a placid inlet in St. Mary's County. The cottage is very compact but fully equipped, like living on a boat for a few days. The small front porch and a picnic table put me in mind of Maryland's colonial days. It is the perfect place to sit and write stories by sunset. The neighborhood is quiet, but Nancy has plenty of suggested restaurants or attractions nearby.

    Carl2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The place is spotlessly clean. It's convenient to everything St. Mary has to offer. Thank you!

    Jerry2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • You will not be disappointed with your stay at the Lazy Bear Cabin. It is delightful with all kinds of big house amenities in this tiny house. It is modern with pops of color and artwork. The location could not be any better with a private dock and use of a good quality kayak. The area with the water and boats, just feet away, is so picturesque. There is so much to do in the area; sightseeing, parks, water sports. Very relaxing also. This cabin is just right for a two person get-away, and I would be happy to go back.

Rolling Stone Farmhouse, a charming 1930’s home lovingly restored. Conveniently located within 5 miles of Patuxent River Naval Air Station, and 2 miles to St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Located on a farm with sweeping views of the fields and ponds, with an English garden right beside the back porch. Private, quiet, relaxing but within 10 minutes of shopping and restaurants.
Rolling Stone Farmhouse has a large, eat-in kitchen and a cozy living room. The retro kitchen is large & fully equipped with a standard fridge (no ice maker/small freezer), gas stove, & ample cooking supplies such as utensils, cookware, blender, and coffee maker. Please note that there is not a dishwasher. The upstairs master suite features original exposed beam ceiling with a king size bed. The living room has comfortable country furniture and a 43” TV with basic cable & WiFi. There is a spacious & bright bathroom with a handicap accessible shower & plenty of towels and toiletries. There are two bedrooms downstairs with double beds, and closets for hanging clothes. So the space can accommodate 6 guests: ideally a family or close friends as there is only one bathroom. The back porch offers seating that is perfect for sipping your morning coffee or evening cocktails. The large open property provides ample parking. There is a deck outside with Adirondack chairs and a wonderful space for relaxing and viewing the pond or cooking out. The property has coolers and a charcoal grill available.
The farm is located in a quiet, rural area. There is a tavern across the street (The Green Door) which is fun for casual drinks and taco/pizza night. We are two miles away from Historic St. Mary's City and St. Mary's College of Maryland. This is a great outdoor museum of the first capitol of Maryland, and the St. Mary's campus has been voted one of the most scenic in the United States! We are also five miles from the Patuxent Naval Air Station and the air museum! Shopping and restaurants are about 15 minutes away and Solomon's Island is a 20 minute drive.
  • We had a second very pleasant stay at Roberta's beautiful farmhouse. Very charming place. The abundant old style details of quilts and collections make you feel as if you stepped back in time a little. At the same time, my teenage son likes to stay there because the Wifi is good! Sheets are crisp and clean and towels are abundant and fluffy. Thanks again!

    Christine2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Roberta went out of her way to insure our comfort. The house is neat, clean, and charmingly decorated. The house is conveniently located to Point Lookout for boating and fishing, 10 minutes to popular shopping and dining, and a short two miles to St. Mary's College of Maryland which was an event destination for us. We look forward to returning for another stay.

  • We had a wonderful stay at the farmhouse. The property and house itself are very beautiful! The furnishings and linens make the space feel fresh and authentic. We had a little "hiccup" upon our arrival and the Owner was immediately responsive and helped us. Thank you! cant wait to stay again.

The house was super clean, contained all the things we needed, including paddle board, canoe and kayak (with life jackets for everyone!!), and was so comfortable, we didn't want to leave. • This is a really great spot! Tricia is super welcoming and a really enjoyable host to spend time with. She and Riley (her lovely dog) were very respectful with regards to our privacy, and we felt very comfortable cooking for ourselves in her kitchen and enjoying Netflix after a long day of adventures. The location is ideal with a gorgeous view and is very close to Historic St. Mary's City and the college. We would definitely go back! Especially in the summer when the weather is warmer so we can really utilize the beautiful waterfront location. All around we had a wonderful time!

    Kenneth2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Outstanding view of the rivers, clean and comfortable home, Mary Tricia and Riley are very friendly. I was on the run visiting family most of the time, so it was nice to have such a nice place to come back to and rest. Mary is a great host!

    Rosemarie2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Tricia and Riley were absolutely wonderful during our stay at their abode this weekend! My husband and I were looking to celebrate our 7 year anniversary near Calvert Cliffs State Park, and happened upon this beautiful gem. We were just steps from the water, with wonderful views, wildlife abounding and a truly peaceful setting. The surrounding area provides endless opportunities, including old St. Mary’s City, awesome seafood restaurants, state parks and more! It was everything we wished for and more! We will no doubt be back in the area to explore again in the future! Riley was a handsome pup whom we enjoyed having around, as both my husband and I are dog lovers! Tricia was a truly amazing hostess who shared her home with us, treating us like family during our stay and yet giving us privacy all at the same time. She even surprised us with a Happy Anniversary cake upon arrival! The house was sparkling clean and very inviting with stunning views! There was a private bathroom with a European type shower, which was a unique feature and we had our own wing of the house with a quiet and inviting bedroom. Once again, everything was perfect and we hope to visit again in the future!

The screen porch provides an outdoor space for when Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate. Plenty of room to park cars. Guests may use the tandem kayak, two paddle boards and Hammock. Bonfire Guests consistently report that their favorite activity at Horseshoe Point is the bonfire. As your host it is my goal to have this experience set-up in advance of your arrival and included at no extra cost. One match should be all you need to get things started. Feel free to bring the Adirondack chairs down from the house. Inquire about crabs! Seaplane rides / tour available. Pick-up from the sandbar Dog We’re dog lovers and Horseshoe Point is a perfect place for dogs to run and swim. You’re welcome to bring your dog with you if you agree to these basic requirements: 1. Pet is house trained. 2. You’ll pick-up waste. 3. No fleas. 4. If your pet damages anything you’ll repair, replace or financially compensate. 5. Pet cleaning fee of $90 will be added. When you book your reservation please describe your dog and acknowledge agreement with the above list. Fishing If you like to fish, guests report great results from the dock at HSP. Because Horseshoe Bend is an Oyster Sanctuary the bottom creates a rich habitat for the fish to feed. You’ll likely catch a variety of species including rock, flounder and perch. Bring your poles and tackle box loaded with bottom rigs, rattle traps and poppers. • We came back.. because we couldn't stand to be away. We love this house! It's truly magical. Once again, great host, great spot, great experience. What are u waiting for?

  • HSP is a beautiful oasis on the St. Mary's river. We stayed here while attending the CAC swim championships at St. Mary's College. We found ourselves wishing we weren't rushing off to the meet. We plan to come back one day when we can just relax and enjoy the view. Barry and Kelly are wonderful and very thoughtful hosts.

    Karen2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Well. It's really hard to put into words the fabulous-ness of this place. The location? Perfect. Surrounded by three sides by a beautiful water view. The house - comfy - all the amenities.. nice fireplace..great porches. Comfy beds. The hosts? They are out of this world friendly and accommodating. What a great experience. A perfect getaway from Washington, DC. Hate to hurt my chances of getting a booking here again.. but - what can I say? Book this place.

    Kerry2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay at HSP and it was even better than the first! Relaxation, oyster feast, cozy fireplace, beautiful views, and board games. It was the perfect staycation. We will definitely be back!

    Angela2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • You can expect breathtaking panoramic views of the St Mary's River. Sunrises were glowing and sunsets the pink-orange of opals. Comfortable, cozy living area with a wood burning fireplace. Which being from Florida, we took full advantage of! Well appointed kitchen with everything you need, from crabknockers to crockpot to spices. The bonfire was, by far, the best part of our trip (besides our daughters being with us for Christmas). Having close friends and family with us around the fire will be a treasured memory. Hopefully, HSP will be part of our family Christmas tradition for many years to come! Warm Regards from the MacRae family

  • Ok. So here you are looking at my review... which means you are interested. Some food for thought. Do you like relaxing? Do you like amazing views? Do you like bonfires? Do you like incredible local recommendations for delish seafood? Do you like cozy fireplaces in cold winter nights? Yes? OF COURSE YOU DO. Book this wonderful paradise near St. Mary's before someone else does. My husband, dog and I spent the most restful and enjoyable winter weekend at Horseshoe Point, and while we want to keep the place all to ourselves, Barry and Kelly are such a treat and made this long weekend better than we could have imagined it. The pictures don't come close to doing the place justice, the big green egg makes incredible steaks, and relaxing by the bonfire as the sun went down over the water was such a dream. Our dog had the most fun, running around chasing squirrels, exploring the waterfront, and considering whether or not the oyster shells that abound were edible. We cannot wait to come back in the summertime and try our hand at crabbing!

    Lindsey2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing views with a tranquil, serene and park-like private setting. Our dog loved his expansive oasis on land and visited the sand bar each morning to greet the flock of geese. The bonfire was enjoyed with beverages and s’mores. A great family setting or a private getaway.

    Nathaniel2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • This place is truly amazing - we came to town for a company fishing trip on Loosen Up leaving out of Point Lookout Marina and found this gem for the gang to spend the night - we enjoyed sharing an evening around the bonfire (that is not your typical backyard bonfire either), a great meal at dining room table - place was very clean, host provides all things necessary for a great experience and will defiantly return with family and friends to share this wonder place and enjoy some of the local Maryland blue crabs too - this place is is a must - look no further and share your experience with others , they say life is short so enjoy it while you can - we did that and more here.!!

Mom and Pop's Honest Point Home has been in our family for almost 70 years. It has been and continues to be a haven for anyone seeking a relaxing rural property. The cottage is situated on 25 acres surrounded by water and wildlife. Your only neighbor is the owner's home which is next door. Make sure you read the details below
Please read this entire description before renting as it contains detailed information about what to expect. For over 70 years our family has owned Mom and Pop's cottage. Reputed to be the first home on Honest Point. the cottage is the epitome of relaxed uncomplicated living. The house was renovated and upgraded for guests about 8 years ago and we continue to add improvements as the needs arise. Mom and Pop's cottage is situated on deep water and has a small beach. The shore drops off slowly providing small children with safe places to play in the water. The surrounding 25 acres provide ample opportunities for children and pets to roam around The interior includes an equipped kitchen, two bedrooms, (a queen bed in one, 2 doubles in the other), one bathroom w shower, living room office space and two screened porches. The house is located in the historic Northern Neck region of Virginia. Enjoy crabbing, fishing, boating, kayaking, winery tours, and the historic homes of George Washington, Robert E Lee and James Monroe. If you prefer wildlife rather than night life this is the place for you. Wake up each morning to eagles, geese, herons, and local crabbers fishing their pots. This is a quiet rural location with plenty of acreage which will give you the chance to get away from the bustle and stress of the city. Most amenities can be reached within 30 minutes. A note for those from the city -- we live in an area where "critters" are a fact of life. Some of them are a pleasure to see and some of them are a nuisance. We make every effort to accent the positive and eliminate the negative critters that you may encounter . Can be rented for the summer or the year at reduced rates HURRICANE and INCLEMENT weather policy. If weather conditions threaten your trip, contact the owner by telephone or text before cancelling or travelling. Generally speaking, if the house is safe and ready for occupancy, there will be no refunds made. If the owner has to cancel your reservation for safety or other reasons, you will receive a refund. Other options may apply so be sure to call or text.
This is a very rural area but there are ample restaurants, stores, and historical sites within easy driving distance. If you are seeking wildlife not nightlife this is the place for you.
  • The private beach access and privacy were the best part. We spent the weekend fishing and looking at the stars at night. It was so peaceful and nice to get away.

    Christina2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Everything you'd want for a relaxing get-away you'll find here. The water views are spectacular, and the cottage is charming and super comfortable.

    Betsy2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • The home was private, with lots of land for our two little boys to run and explore! We appreciated the well stocked kitchen (including coffee!) and bathrooms.

    Jessica2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Mom & Pop’s is a wonderful property right on the river. The house itself is cute and charming with a lot of history to it. Nicely appointed kitchen with decent tools & cookware, and a gas grill outside with grilling tools. Really enjoyed the screened in porches for watching the kids play with the pup, or just watching the occasional boat pass by. If you follow the shoreline to the right (Easterly), there’s a little path you can take to a strip of beach. Really cute, fun place to visit. Thanks Nancy!

    Nathan2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • It was a fun location; perfect for kids, with a small sandy beach and a gradual increase in the depth of the water. We enjoyed crabbing, fishing, and watching the hawks and bald eagles. Nancy worked us in after a last-minute booking, and was a gracious hostess!

    Laura May2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, charming cottage on the bay. Very relaxing. Bald eagle soaring above, fish jumping out of the water, boats cruising by, very peaceful and picturesque. Our dog loved the little beach area, we loved the serenity, was a total win for everyone. Nancy and her husband were awesome hosts, very nice and informative. The place was amazingly clean and fully stocked with everything you might need. We had a much needed stay from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life. $30/dozen crabs were right down the road.

    Heather2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • This home is charming with fantastic views! It's a great place to relax and wind down. The welcoming touches like fresh flowers were particularly nice. The front screen in porch was the perfect place to sit in the evening and watch the spectacular heat lightening! We highly recommend this beautiful home and location!

    Tommie2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • A clean home with sweet touches such as fresh flowers in every room, a bottle of wine when you arrive and the invitation to pick fresh veggies from the garden and herb garden located off the back porch. Beautiful breezes while you sit on one of the two screened in porches, begging you to stop and slow down and enjoy the peace and quiet Mom and Pops house offers. I felt as if the world stopped and I was back in simpler times with no worries in the world. I will be coming back!

  • Amazing view, great camp spot.

    LeeAnn2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Brandon’s camping space is in one word: surreal. An amazing location right on the water, Brandon’s spot did not disappoint as my friends and I were able to reunite on our yearly camping trip. Perfect for those who want to enjoy the sounds of the waves on the beach as well as the crickets in the woods, this spot encompasses a perfect balance of each as well as giving campers an excellent view of the sunrise, right over the bay. The atmosphere is phenomenal. The only thing that I will say to take into account is that there are two campsites on this acre lot (each site gets a half an acre) and you should be prepared to encounter and camp next to neighbors. As secluded as this lot is from any other property, the proximity to the other campsite (~20 yards) makes music, conversation, etc. noticeable (especially at night). If you are looking for total seclusion in order to procure peace and quiet or, alternatively, to have the ability to be as loud as you would like, you must take into account that it is possible that you will have neighbors who may not have the same mindset as yourself. As long as you understand this when going into your trip, then this is an incredibly beautiful spot, a really enjoyable time, and you should absolutely book your stay with Brandon. I’m really happy we were able to book a weekend here and couldn’t thank Brandon enough for allowing us to stay on his property.

    Peter2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • This spot is very quiet and serene. You can see a sunrise like no other. It is a perfect place to get away from the busy life and enjoy nature and your family.

  • Brandon was communicative, courteous and friendly and we truly enjoyed our stay and will give referrals and book again in the future. He was the ideal host.

1,000 square foot two-bedroom, one bath waterfront apartment features separate entrance and a screened-in porch overlooking the St. Mary’s River. Beautiful property close to St. Mary's College of MD has large dock, small private beach, great views. There is a two-night minimum on weekends. Dogs are welcome. We just ask that they be on a leash when they're outside and that you leave them in the living room / kitchen if you leave.
The property is situated adjacent to the walking trails and historic sites of St. Mary’s City -- Maryland’s colonial capital. Explore the reconstructed colonial town by foot, bicycle or canoe. The property is next door to the private Rosecroft Manor with its 200-year old slave house. Other attractions include the reconstructed 17th-century tobacco plantation, the restored Indian village, and the Maryland Dove, a replica of the 17th-century vessel, as well as St. Mary’s College of Maryland. The property is just minutes from the Navy’s Webster’s Field, public beaches on the Chesapeake Bay and the Point Lookout State Park. Discover Maryland’s southern heritage! Our mailing address happens to be Lexington Park, although we're located in St. Mary's City. Wildlife abounds here. Watch for the osprey, deer, wild turkeys, eagles, cranes, turtles, red hawks, foxes, rabbits, and a wide variety of birds. You can fish from the dock.
The property is situated on the Rosecroft peninsula. The neighborhood consists of nice homes on 1-2acre lots on the St. Mary's River, St. Inigoes Creek, and Lucas Cove. It is lovely here. Our neighborhood is unique because it is part of the oldest settlement in Maryland, dating back to 1634. Rosecroft Road is the first road built in Maryland and our property is part of the first subdivision in the state. It's the third oldest English settlement in North America. We are located within the southernmost extremity of the St. Mary's City National Historic Landmark. Our property lies on St. Ignatius Loyola Creek (St. Inigoes) and overlooks Priest's Point, a testament to Maryland's Catholic founding. We are directly across from the Navy's Webster Field. Occasionally, Navy helicopters fly above the creek, although rarely on the weekends. The trailhead to the walking trails of Historic St. Mary's City is just a few blocks away. The trails wind through the woods and along the beaches of the ancient settlement.
  • A magical peaceful location tucked away. The hosts are genuine and kind - ready to give advice and interact. Really a find!

  • This is a beautiful place in an idyllic secluded location. It is very close to St Mary’s historic city and St Mary’s of Maryland college.

    Susan2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is the most perfect stay at St. Mary's; so close to the college; homey and comfortable. Nell & Pat are the most kind and accommodating airbnb owners I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I'd stay here again anytime! Book your trip and Enjoy your stay!

    Kimberly2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures don’t even do the house/ property/ views justice. I had high expectations and they were surpassed. The screened in porch is absolutely beautiful- would have definitely spent more time there if we had warmer weather. The home is spacious and feels bigger than what the pics look like. It was extremely comfortable with 5 people. The kitchen has all the appliances you would need. The living room has a big and cozy couch. For entertainment there is the tv, a puzzle and games provided. The bathroom is gorgeous and modern- the shower is awesome! The two bedrooms are good sizes and the beds are super comfy. Towels and cloths were provided. Nell and her husband were great hosts! They were so easy to communicate with and were very helpful. Nell made us probably the best banana bread I’ve ever had! She went above and beyond! Would definitely want to return here in the summer to enjoy the porch and water. Highly recommend this spot!

    Christopher2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was even more beautiful than in the pictures. The home was sparkling clean with beautiful beach accents and the sunrise was stunning. The weather was warm enough even in January for kayaking. We could get used to this private beach lifestyle!

    Shannon2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place is beautiful! My girlfriend and I celebrated a private New Year’s Eve here and we loved it. Our favorite part was being able to see the stars at night while the water was so peaceful and quiet. Definitely worth it!

    Benjamin2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • This full apartment/suite is located in a beautiful, serene and peaceful area. The accommodations were spotless and more than enough for five adults and two puppies. We were sad to leave! Angela was quick to respond to our questions and was very accommodating with our estimated arrival time. I would definitely stay here again — I already wish we could go back!

  • Our week at Piney Point was wonderful! The house and location were perfect. The island was very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful views, and your own private beach just outside your door. Lots to do if you love the outdoors. If your looking for a place to eat, the Ruddy Duck ( five minutes away) was excellent, delicious food and craft beer. Also, St. Mary’s State Park was great for fishing and hiking. Billie and Angela were great hosts! Wouldn’t hesitate to come back to their home!

    Donna2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • You won’t be disappointed. The privacy of your own beach with a spectacular flat and great host....what more could you ask for?

    Samantha2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Privacy was perfect you have your own beach. Only a few complaints but minor thermostat is controlled from upstairs and it gets stuffy where the bedrooms are located. Fridge works but could keep things colder. Beds were a bit uncomfortable to my liking. Other than those things place was great very clean and peaceful. Would definitely stay again.

Welcome to Sí Paradise! Wake up to an amazing beach-front sunrise, enjoy the day playing in the sand, kayaking, fishing or crabbing, then relax around a cozy fire and star filled sky that always amazes. Only 90 minutes from Washington, D.C., and Fredericksburg, VA!
The house sits on almost half of an acre and has access to water in the front and rear of the property and is perfect a couple's getaway or family vacation. Light House Road is a very charming neighborhood and home of the historical Piney Point Lighthouse. Many people take advantage of the road to walk, jog, bike ride, and greet neighbors. The cottage is a 1,320 sqft and has 3beds/2baths. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room with a large screen tv and Amazon Fire TV Stick and Nintendo for some old school gaming. The kitchen has plenty of room with a full size refrigerator, microwave, oven, hood vent, air fryer, wine opener, and all the plates and utensils you'll need. Use of the oven in summer can make the inside warmer. If you prefer, there's a PitBoss 8-in-1 smoker/grill that you can use to smoke, bake, sear, grill, roast, etc... The master has a queen size bed and a private full bath. It also has a clothing and linen closet. Down the hall there's a shared full bath. The second bedroom is is just past the bathroom on the right and has 2 bunk beds and sleeps 4 total, and also has a closet. The third bedroom is at the end of the hall and has a lot of space with a closet. It's large enough to fit another air mattress to sleep an additional 1-2 people. The screened in porch is a great way to escape the sun and play games and relax while still being outside. By spring, we'll have a converted wood shop into a guest house for additional relaxing and sleeping, but it will not have water for a bathroom.
Śi Paradise is located in Historical Piney Point, Maryland in a quiet neighborhood. The neighborhood is not in a tourist area, which gives it the easy going and relaxing feeling. There are a couple restaurants in the area and a local pub.The main grocery store is 10 minute away, but there is a market right up the street for smaller items.
  • Si Paradise was the best experience we had so far. It was much better than we had expected! It was a quiet private neighborhood with their own pier and campfire. The way they decorated their home made us feel very welcome and warm. Our two kids loved staying here so it definitely is a kid friendly place. They have a trampoline bikes for adults a golf cart etc~ and there is also a lighthouse museum very close by (you can walk or take the golf cart there) which was cool~ It is a perfect place for a family getaway!

  • Clifford’s home in Piney Point was the perfect place for our family gathering. Our niece, who lives nearby, recently gave birth and her Mom (our sister) is visiting from overseas. The aunts and uncles traveled from various states north and south to meet the new addition, as well as catch up with each other. Clifford’s place was the perfect location and spacious enough to accommodate all our needs for family dinners, sleeping and relaxing. In the evenings, we enjoyed sipping cocktails on the front porch watching the spectacular sunsets over the Potomac. We have stayed at many Airbnbs over the years, none as well stocked as Cliffords. He has thought of EVERYTHING and then some. We highly recommend staying at this Airbnb.

  • An extremely peaceful and lovely setting. Everything as advertised and so much more–the amenities go on and on... Good idea to follow the tide charts for the area; there can be some street flooding. Clifford was so quick to respond to any questions we had. His home is spacious, great for families.

    George2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Full of thoughtful touches and amenities to make our stay more comfortable. This is definitely a great house for large family getaways!

    Johanna2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely home with a spectacular view of the mouth of the Potomac. We watched beautiful sunsets, a pod of dolphins, and an eagle from the front porch. The house is roomy and easily accommodated 8 adults. The back porch is a great social space. Bikes in the garage was a great touch! Check in was super easy and check out was a breeze. The house is super clean, and has the feel of a beach house, but the comfort of a new house. I would definitely recommend this stay!

    Janelle Durrett2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • This house is absolutely gorgeous and has a lot of nice touches! The private beach right across the street is convenient for a quick dip. We enjoyed playing ping pong in the garage and playing music through the Apple TV in the evenings after sunset. Speaking of sunset, it's no lie that the sunset view from this place is completely stunning. We all loved the screened porch in the back too. We had a few issues during our stay, but Clifford is an extremely caring and responsive host and he resolved everything quickly so you can be assured you are in good hands. I definitely recommend this place for a relaxing group gathering along the beautiful Chesapeake Bay.

    Kelly2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Clifford is an awesome host, quick to answer any question and proactively sharing a lot of info about the house and its surroundings. We very much enjoyed our stay in his beautiful house. The HUGE screened deck was amazing for breakfast, lunches, diners (and dancing!), the outside BBQ grill super convenient and very efficient (we grilled every day and they even have a smoker if you want to smoke too), the bedrooms really comfy (the one in the loft for the kids is a killer with so many beds), the kitchen super convenient,.... And the sound bar was great for streaming music while relaxing. We also enjoyed the many games (ping pong table, bikes,...) The private beach was awesome too - we swam there twice. And we fished some fishes and crabs in front of the house. Really a great location and a lovely spot for families to enjoy quality time, inside and outdoor!. Highly recommend it.

    Fabrice2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was very pleasurable, the house was everything we hoped for, clean, spacious and well appointed. We had a few challenges concerning the operation of the TV and Beach access, but shortly after contacting Clifford he provided solutions. The view is simply gorgeous, and everyone in our party of 8 to 11 enjoyed their stay. The neighbors were quite friendly as well. I fished early in the morning and some of the neighbors stopped to chat each morning. Beach access was down the road but within walking distance. My granddaughters were like little tadpoles and wanted to play in the water every day. Both caught their first fish as well. I will certainly consider doing that again.

    Doug2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Clifford's place was great! It's got all the amenities, everything in the kitchen is labeled, and there is enough seating for the entire group (so many places say they sleep 10+ but only have table space for 6). The small, private beach across the street was great and we spent both afternoons enjoying the water and sun!

Have the option of just the main house w/ 2 bedrooms & 2 baths or add the guest house for an additional bedroom & 1.5 baths. Rental for the guest house is an add'l $100 per night & it's never rented to separate guest/parties. Come enjoy our new custom dock, take out the 2 kayaks provided, crab with the 2 crackpots from the dock or have a glass of wine while you watch the sunset
The estate is surrounded by a 6 foot privacy fence, creating a sense that you're the only one on the water while staying here. Both homes are decorated with fine quality furniture, antiques and appointments. In the Spring and Summer, enjoy warm breezes while relaxing on the stone patio overlooking the River and enjoy the new custom dock. Warm yourself with the white marble framed fireplace in the Fall and Winter. The 3rd story or cupola offers a 360 degree view of the river, bay, creek and quiet countryside that leads up to the property.
Set in a quaint neighborhood the private waterfront property that has waterfront homes, all adjacent to farmland, perfect for a morning walk or a jog. The Rivah, as us "Locals" call it, has many quaint towns to explore. There's Reedville, with many waterfront historic Victorian homes, waterfront dining and a great little ice cream shop! Other nearby towns include: Burgess, Kilmarnock, White Stone, Irvington & Lancaster Courthouse that has the Mary Ball Museum. Year-round, we have many festivals and events, that you can find by checking the local Northern Neck Directory found at many shopping locations. In all of our small towns, you will find the best offerings of local seafood, restaurants, antiquing, bargain shops and lots of history. One of the best "secrets" is Hughlett Point, which is a beautiful natural beach with walking trails and endless views of the Chesapeake Bay. This can be found by Googling "Hughlett Point Trail Kilmarnock VA". Also popular, is the day trip to Tangier Island by a large boat. This can also be found by googling "Reedville VA Tangier Island Cruise". There is many local charter fishing companies, one recommendation is, Bay Quest Charters, located in Lottsburg.
  • Great place to stay and finishing. Fantastic view and very safe dock.

    Yeasun2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic place - the location is breathtaking. There are thoughtful touches everywhere in the house. The kitchen is the best stocked I have ever seen with quality pans, utensils, condiments - as well as a bottle of wine/soda/beer waiting. Lisa was great in responding to questions and being helpful. We will definitely be back! Thank YOU!

    Maggie2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • The name of this home totally reflects our experience here “Spectacular”! We enjoyed every minute here . . . Crabbing from the dock (yummy dinner!), kayaking, sunset views and heat lightning shows across the Expansive Potomac River. The home was set up in such a way with wonderful vantage points to nestle in and read or just relax while enjoying the views. Lisa was a great host! Couldn’t have asked for more. She responded immediately to our needs and even brought out an extra kayak when I told her we loved kayaking! We had everything we needed. Thank you Lisa! enjoyed the peaceful views and the sound of the surf against the rocks. TOTAL RELAXATION!

    Beth2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for a private place with water views all around...this is it! Private dock with fishing rods and crabbing baskets available. Quiet neighborhood. We spent our our evenings alone on the dock and our days crabbing and grilling out and relaxing in the screened-in porch. We never left. We cooked our fresh caught crab in the kitchen. We purchased oysters locally from Rappahannock oyster company, scallops and shrimp from miss Mary seafood market, and salads and crab cakes from crab King seafood market on the way in. Never had to interact with anyone else on the trip. Very nice to arrive to a chilled bottle of wine and a few beers. Heavenly.

    Stevi2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our second stay here was even better than the first! The new dock with built in hammock was a big hit with our teenaged children. You feel like you’re entering a private estate when you step through the gate. Perfect place to relax and enjoy your family and friends.

    Janet2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa’s place was amazing even more beautiful than the pictures. Everything was tastefully decorated and the Gardens full of Hydrangeas were gorgeous. There were so many areas in an around the house to enjoy the awesome sunsets. We loved our time here and plan to come again but stay longer. Thank you Lisa for being such a great host for our sons wedding weekend.

    Lulu2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa’s home was lovely and check in was easy! Everything was clean and tidy. There were plenty of kitchen amenities to use which was great because we cooked while we were there rather than going out. The views from her home were beautiful. There were so many places to lounge and relax for our mini vacation. It was a great experience and we would love to stay again some time!

  • Beautiful home! We (five adults and two children) enjoyed our stay in this amazing house. We were in town for a swim meet, so we didn't get to spend much time there. It was so nice to take a break from the pool and relax, though, when we had a break between sessions and at night. It was so much nicer than staying in a cramped hotel. We had one day of great weather to walk around the grounds. It is very peaceful, and the house is beautifully decorated yet cozy and charming. We enjoyed sitting around the huge dining table. The beds were very comfortable. The host provided lovely touches to make our stay special. We will definitely stay here again if we have an opportunity to do so. Thanks so much!

    Stacey2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful grounds, charming house, spacious for a family. Nice touches. Bathrooms were really nice too! Couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend Christmas.

    Stephanie2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • D&D Farms is such a lovely place to stay! I can not recommend it enough! The attention to detail is beyond anything I have seen in AirBnB’s yet! Every room is beautifully decorated. The beds are so comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked. We found Panera Bagels on the sideboard upon arrival. So. Many. Personal. Touches. I hope we will be able to enjoy another stay there.

    Candy2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful, spacious and clean home! Easy to fit 4 couples (8people, 4queen beds) and maybe even another two people on couches/air mattress. Quiet, off the main road but also close to everything you need, and easy access to two great beaches (Point Lookout and Elms). Really loved our time in this beautiful home and highly recommend!

    Zan2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Very private, very nice old home.

    Robert2019-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is probably the best Airbnb I've ever come across! The house offers pretty much all you need for a comfortable stay. Well equipped kitchen and spacious dining and living room. Highly recommended for those who want to spend a peaceful and relaxing time there in Maryland.

    Claudio2019-06-18T00:00:00Z
  • While there isn't many AirBNB options in Southern Maryland, D&D Farm offered everything we needed to host several family members visit from out of state. The large dining room table is perfect for getting everyone around the table for dinner and conversation. The kitchen has the up-to-date appliances to prepare family meals. The farm house is both old and new...both in a good way. The decor keeps you looking and wondering what it was like to live in the original house of the early 1900's. The amenities are all new so you can live comfortably during your stay. Everyone agreed the beds were super comfortable. If you want peace and quiet while you relax inside or out, this is the place for you. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch letting time slow down as we enjoyed each other's company in a relaxed and comfortable surrounding. We had several wild turkeys roaming the field adjacent to the house, along with baby geese, ducks, and several deer. Overall, D&D Farm was perfect for having our extended family all together in one beautiful house.

  • Sarah: Thank you so much for offering your home to us all these years. This is truly our home away from home this looooong Championship swim weekend. The kids love staying in the house. Thank you for being so flexible with check in and check out times. Both our kids swam so well all weekend and I believe part of that has to do with the accommodations! My daughter ages up and we will no longer be down there for this weekend meet. Hopefully once my friend's son ages up we will reunite down there again and come back to rent our home away from home. Thank you for everything!

Sarah is very quick to respond to any questions and Debbie and her husband opened the house for us upon arrival with friendliness and the feeling of visiting old friends. This house has everything you need to enjoy and wonderful getaway with family. We will definitely come and stay again!

    Gabriela2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Very good location, very clean home. Everything is available in kitchen. Don’t need to bring things from home. Good for two couples with kids. But this is not the best place for fishing from the piers or the ocean. Also, don’t go to the left of firepit. There is a lady who is picky about her privacy...

    Ibrahim2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is just wonderful. The views and the access to the water were by far the best part about staying here. We spent the labor day weekend with family at Sarah's place. Our group consisted of 6 adults, one toddler and one infant and the the space was plenty big. My daughter basically had her own room in the massive walk in closet in the master. We truly loved out time here and would highly recommend this property to groups looking for a chill, relaxing family beach vacation. Great memories were made.

    Jessica2019-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • The vacation house was absolutely beautiful. The views of the creek and beach were amazing at sunset and sunrise. The property is well kept and is very clean. The kitchen was fully stocked and the communication with the owner was very easy. I would certainly stay at this location for a family vacation. Very relaxing and quiet.

    Meghan2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • What an incredible stay! The house was gorgeous with a beautiful water view on both sides. I read one morning while the sun rose on the bay side and then that night watched the sunset on the inlet while my kids fished and played in the yard. The house was lovely and had everything we could want - a stocked kitchen with all of your cooking necessities. The caretakers, Debbie and Roy were super helpful and all around kind people. I can’t say enough about this beautiful home!

Simple waterfront country home on the Northern Neck with dock on secluded Snow's Cove. Perfect for a quiet getaway for the weekend (or longer). Take your morning tea or coffee in the cove room or the screened in porch and watch the day begin as herons stalk silently through the shore grasses and ospreys swoop in for their morning catch. This is a perfect place for families to spread out and relax, whether it's spending the day on the dock or on the water, or taking a long walk.
The house was built in 1975 and has the one floor layout typical of that era. There is 1600 SF of living space with two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one with shower and tub, the other with shower), a living room with fireplace and sleeper sofa, a dining room with seating for 6, a kitchen with SS appliances, and a fully enclosed cove room which also has a pull out futon. There is also a deck with a screened porch which can be accessed from the kitchen or one of the bed rooms.
Quiet, peaceful. You may encounter neighbors out for a walk with their dog on Highland Point road. Everybody is friendly. Wildlife is everywhere, eagles, herons, ospreys and deer. The evening is filled with the sounds of nature.
  • My favorite part of staying here was the access to kayaks. It’s really nice not to have to go rent them. The location is beautiful and so peaceful.

  • We spent a beautiful fall weekend at Phil's home. Communication and check-in were very easy. We loved being right on the water and went kayaking both days. The house is spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was nice to hangout on the screened-in deck and the sun room with beautiful views of the water.

  • Nice, quiet relaxing weekend. Really enjoyed the kayaks!

  • This is a wonderful house for a waterfront getaway! The house is in excellent condition and has many pleasant places to enjoy the water views: the all-weather cove room, screened porch, deck, and dock. We enjoyed kayaking in the cove and adjoining waterways, and we had a nice walk on their quiet neighborhood road. Reedville was a fun nearby destination, and we took the cruise from there to Tangier Island.

  • Phil and Lili's house is a waterside paradise in a peaceful part of Virginia. Everything was as-described in the listing and sleeping accommodations are extremely comfortable (especially the pull out futon in the cove room!!!). The water is really right next to the house and there were kayaks, lounging floats, and pool noodles available for use while hanging in the water. Definitely a five star place for a very fair price!

  • We had the most wonderful experience in the quiet cove, with a gorgeous view and every comfort we needed in the house. My husband and I went for a couples getaway retreat and it exceeded our expectations. So quiet, yet also not isolated. Quite a charming and clean home, with many comfortable options for hanging out. We hope to return!

  • Beautiful home right on the water. We especially enjoyed the deck, sun room and screened in porch for meals. You’ll love it!

  • A spacious interior and beautiful outside view. Very comfortable beds

  • We used the place as an anchor for our 4 day stay, and just popped in and out throughout the stay. Polly lives at the residence and you will have a chance to interact with her daily. You are renting a room and bathroom, and of course with access to the kitchen and eating area, the large front room and back deck, the outside grounds and the bay views. Polly is present and interactive and will offer as much or as little advice for your stay; places to check out, things to do, etc. She has a wealth of local history if you need something.

  • This was our second time at Polly's place, we love her and her house! The location is perfect, and the view is incredible! Quiet, clean and welcoming, we'll be back!

  • Polly is a delightful host who has a lovely home. She is very generous with her common space which is quite beautiful. The kitchen is very well appointed and the view of the marsh is stunning. Polly's house feels like a home! I will definitely return next time I am in the area to visit.

  • Polly's house is beautiful! There are huge windows on every side overseeing the water, it's peaceful and quiet. If the place is available, don't hesitate to book it! Polly is a welcoming and caring host. We'll be back!

    Tania2019-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • You'll only want to stay at Polly's place if you want to be surrounded by tranquility, spoiled by conveniences and blessed to be amidst the wonders of the Chesapeake Bay.

  • Polly's place was amazing! We traveled out to Maryland for a girls trip and Polly's house was a great choice of stay. It's right off the water and has stunning views. It also isn't too far from town that you can't travel back in for something, but also far enough away and in secluded woods for it to feel like you're not staying in a packed hotel and bumping into people left and right. The rooms were clean and the Disney bathroom had us in stitches because we have a fondness for Disney as well. We absolutely loved being able to utilize the kitchen area because we cooked several of our meals. Polly is a great host - offering suggestions for places in town as well as always making sure our stay was great. 10/10 would recommend!
