Places to stay in Scottsburg
Our Glasgow Guest House is a 325 sq ft cottage behind our house on Coos Bay. Furnished with a queen bed, smart TV and fully equipped kitchenette. Warm, clean and quiet, with natural Douglas fir flooring and tiled bath.
Bright and cheery, our new cottage is furnished with a comfy Poang chair from IKEA and a vintage Herman Miller mid-century rocking chair, and a vintage dresser from a Mills College dorm. Also part of the decor: an old oak library table and a small folding wood table, both of which belonged to my grandmother. Several years ago, I had an artist friend paint the little table and it has provided the focal point for the color scheme.
The Glasgow area is considered a desirable neighborhood because of the hillside on which it is situated, which protects the area from sometimes intense summer winds. We are less than 4 miles from Horsfall Beach, less than 30 minutes away from Sunset Bay State Park, Bastendorff Beach, and Shore Acres' historical gardens. We are 45 minutes and 30 miles away from the amenities of Bandon, Oregon: a colorful old-town with unique shopping opportunities, a beautiful beach, several good food options, and the world-renowned Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. The golf resort has been identified as one of the world's top ten links golf courses.
  • This is such a cute place! Just perfect - the kitchen has whatever you need, a great shower and comfortable bed. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

  • What a gem. The second I walked into the cottage I knew I should've booked for more nights. Spacious, clean, comfortable, quiet, with every amenity you could need while traveling; this space has it all. An incredible stay, one I would highly recommend to anyone!

  • Great place to stay with beautiful views.

    Claire2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed for a month in the cottage. Kathleen was a marvelous host and went above and beyond from getting me from and to the airport (I had no transportation and do not drive), helping me fetch groceries and supplies, taking me to the Farmers Market and to get fresh fish, a wonderful trip to the beach, and letting me join her and John at three concerts in town. Morning guests from all over the world were very interesting an there were great conversations. I felt so at home. I was able to accomplish what I wanted to do during the month, writing most of my book, all in peace and quiet often accompanied by deer, birds and other of God's creatures.

Relax and revive in this artistic 'cabin' with wonderful views of historic Glenn Creek from every room. An architectural dream, you enter this lodge style home through a pivoting hobbit style front door with hardware from the 1800's.
Highlights of this original home include a gourmet kitchen with labradorite granite counters, 800 year old juniper tree spiral stair case, huge beams and exposed rafters, a sauna, and a romantic wood stove. Also each upstairs bedroom has a hanging bed with three 8 foot skylights above for indoor star gazing. Original artworks from local artists are throughout the home. Many pleasantries await the curious such as embedded fossils in the cracked mud walls. Nestled amongst towering fir and cedar trees, with windows everywhere, you'll feel and see nature's presence. This home site has a remarkably peaceful way about it. Check out more pictures at www.belowthefallslodge.com Recently featured in Southern Oregon Magazine and KCBY 11 TV's ~In Focus~ 'Goin' Green' and Oregon's Solar Home Tour, this is a unique 'green' home. This home was built with environmentally friendly materials. Building with little impact on the surroundings was very important to us during construction. The myrtle hardwood floor in the kitchen and living room was milled on site which came from trees that stood where the house is now. Same story for the beautiful maple flooring in the ½ bath. All of the large beams and fir flooring came from two 4' thick 104 year old douglas fir trees which also stood and were milled where the house is now. The fir trees sprouted after the last forest fire that came through the canyon. One of our neighbors fell a sixty five year old redwood that was over six feet thick! We used some of it as a wonderful wainscot paneling throughout the house. All of the finishes used are no or low VOC. Surrounding the house is native vegetation, huge trees and a few herbs and spices for cooking. You'll enjoy the fully equipped kitchen with labradorite granite counters. The kitchen island has a new five burner gas stove with a convection oven and warming oven. The island has plenty of granite and wood counter space. Hanging from the exhaust hood are stainless, non-stick, and cast iron cookware. Also included are coffee and a grinder, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, utensils, chef knives, glasses and frosty cocktail glasses in the freezer. The dining room table has a river view and can seat eight. There is also seating for three at the island bar. From the kitchen you can visit with the folks in the living room thanks to the open floor plan. Beside the wood stove are two chairs and the futon couch with reading lamp. A CD changer and TV with a DVD player and VHS machine are in the downstairs bedroom. Bring your favorite videos or browse our selection of movies. The property has 150 feet of creek frontage with great views of Glenn creek, the forest and distant cliffs. Enjoy wildlife viewing with River Dippers, Chipmunks, Kingfishers, Great Blue Herons, Screech Owls, Pileated Wood Peckers, Elk, an occasional Bald Eagle or River Otter and other wildlife from the house and back deck. Build a fire and have lunch on the nearby picnic table and benches.
The narrow canyon valley below Golden and Silver Falls is wonderful. I grew up here moved away, and came back for the natural beauty and solitude of the Oregon rain forest. This area has been a favorite of mine since I was a youngster. In 2005 when the bare land became available I jumped on it and started a three year art project which became Below the Falls Lodge.
  • The place was more gorgeous then I expected and I loved my stay! Next time I will be back for longer to enjoy more of the house and the property and the surrounding area. Coos Bay is amazing and Cape Arago and Shoreline park are breathtaking. Highly recommend this house!

  • This home was absolutely lovely and fully stocked with everything and anything you could imagine needing, we were blown away and so so grateful to have had the pleasure of staying here. From the beautiful scenery, the river, the beautiful rooms and skylights, hanging beds , stocked kitchen, just amazing. We didn’t want to leave.

  • This place is a dream stay! Shane recommended a hike just up the house to see some waterfalls and they were so breathtaking and amazing! The house itself is so cozy and looks like it’s straight off my Pinterest board. We will definitely come back to visit! It was nice to disconnect from devices for a while and my husband said he got the best night sleep he’s had in months on the bed we slept on. Highly highly highly recommend this place

Elliott Forest Cabin is a secluded retreat featuring 500 feet of creek frontage, a tree house, two fire pits, and a large kitchen. The weather up river tends to be about five degrees warmer than Coos Bay and we get more sunny days. Dip your toes (or fishing line) in the creek. Grill your catch on our expansive deck. For a romantic twist, dine in the treehouse. Bring marshmallows and stargaze around the campfire. Or play board games and watch the raindrops fall. More info at elliottcabin.com
The cabin comfortably sleeps four and is stocked with luxe sheets, gourmet coffee, a cozy sectional sleeper, and Turkish cotton bath towels.
Tucked in the historic logging community of Allegany, our cabin was built in 1993 on part of W. R .R. Glenn’s 180-acre homestead. Glenn was a Civil War veteran and the first settler in the area. He arrived sometime before 1875. In the 1930s, this area along Glenn Creek was a large logging camp. By the 1950s, the loggers had moved deep into the forested mountains to the east and west. Just down the road there are huge, hiker-friendly waterfalls at Golden and Silver Falls State Park. And the nearby Elliott State Forest is open year-round to those who wish to cruise its backroads.

It's half of a duplex with the other unit in back so you'll feel like it's all yours. We live a couple hours away in Roseburg, so guests are expected to be fairly independent. We will have the place fully stocked with all of the essentials you'll need for your stay. This is a working class neighborhood and the people are typically warm and friendly. We often see people walking their dogs and they'll stop and chat with us. The neighborhood is very quiet for the most part except for an occasional train going through about 3 blocks away maybe once a day. We do want to point out that there is a dilapidated house across the street which has been of concern to some guests but it is nothing to worry about. A young man and his wife and two children live there and are slowly trying to get things in order. He's a super nice guy and is our lawn maintenance provider. Thanks for your understanding! The neighborhood is very safe. We used to live in this duplex and never had any problems. We loved living here and still enjoy using it as our coastal getaway!
  • This was a cute place to stay. Comfy couch and bed. Full kitchen and the washer and dryer came in handy. Clean and had anything you needed. Great Location. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your place.

  • This little cottage is a great place to stay, the photos show what is there but not how comfortable the couch is or how wonderfully you’ll sleep in the bed. I don’t normally sleep well away from home but had no issues here. Well stocked kitchen and bath, was nice to have laundry facilities on site if needed. The hosts offer different breakfast options to get your day started. The cottage was well set up and very clean when we arrived. The lights on the porch made it easy to spot when you arrive if after dark. This is a place and hosts I would highly recommend to everyone. Messages were replied to quickly and answered fully. It’s easily assessable and not far off the beaten path but feels quite private. Would be happy to stay here again if in the area.

You will have a large private room equipped with a comfy California king sized bed, a coffee bar that has all the amenities a coffee lover could want, a 43" flat screen TV with 1000+ channels and HBO, a thermostat to adjust the temperature of the room as you please, a miniature fridge, and a microwave. But the best quality of the room is the large windows that broadcast a panoramic view of the sparkling bay. Your private bathroom, which is right across the hall from your room, has both a bathtub/shower combination.
Nestled in the lush green hills of East Coos Bay in a quiet, secluded, and serene neighborhood.
  • Mike is a really hospitable host and very quick to respond. We unfortunately couldn’t follow through with our trip due to illness but he was very accommodating of our circumstances.

  • Nice quite and beautiful location. I enjoyed every minute. Stayed 8 nights on a business trip and already looking forward to coming back again! Mike is a wonderful host and he'll answer any questions u may have. Bed was really comfortable, with a beautiful view, and had my own thermostat for my personal bedroom and bathroom. If I'm ever in need of a room for a night, a week, or longer, look no further than this location. U wont be disappointed.

Cottage style decor with shabby chic and slip-covered furniture. We are 3-1/2 miles from the North Bend (McCullough) Bridge and only about 5 miles from the nearest beach, Horsfall Beach and the famous sand dunes. You will enjoy your privacy in this quiet little guest house with a very big and gorgeous view, although it is on a residential property that is shared with the main residence. Experience many lovely sunsets right out your living room window.
We are a non smoking residence, sorry no pets. This little cottage is ideal for travel nurses or other travel professionals who may be coming to Coos Bay's Bay Area Hospital or local medical clinics. You will appreciate the quiet and privacy available here. The cottage is surrounded by decking and the view is amazing! The rear of the deck is 10" x 24" and furnished for your enjoyment and includes a grill for your use.
Semi rural area with houses on either side but hidden in the trees. We are on the water facing across the bay looking toward the town of North Bend. We are just outside the city limits by about 3-4 miles (or 1.5 miles if you can fly across the water).
  • Great bay view. Exceptional hosts. Cozy cottage with everything we needed and wanted. Comfortable bed, pillows and furnishings. Jan and Ace are the perfect hosts, friendly and very helpful when we had any questions. We cooked most all meals here so plenty of dinnerware and cooking pans. Driveway down takes a time or two to get comfortable with then its easy peasy! Highly recommend and we would choose to stay here again.

  • We love this sweet place on the bay! Such great hospitality from the hosts, this is our second time booking and we will continue to recommend it to visitors. If you’re needing a place to stay in this area, don’t pass this up!

You will love this beautiful little cabin. Glenn Creek Cabin is set in a beautiful coastal forest. The house itself is one bedroom with a loft. The back side of the cabin is all windows and looks out onto Glenn Creek. There is a king size bed in the loft and a queen size bed in the downstairs bedroom. Everything in the cabin has been recently remodeled. The kitchen has granite countertops, new cabinetry, stainless steel dishwasher, gas stove, microwave, etc...All the conveniences of home in this nice, quite setting.
Glenn Creek Cabin is approxiamately 21 miles inland from Coos Bay. The cabin is 3 miles from Golden and Silver Falls. It's great for hiking and biking. Along with this, the Pacific Coastline is only 40 minutes away, it makes for a great day trip.
  • The cabin is beautiful, updated, and comfortable. Gas fireplace wasn't working, it would have been nice to know that prior to booking. The cabin is in the middle of the woods, the quiet and beauty is wonderful. Unfortunately, the cabin is also surrounded by dilapidated homes and buildings. But when you're down by the river, its beautiful and peaceful.

  • You won’t understand how wonderful this place is until you visit it! It’s super clean and cozy. Perfect little hideaway to get away from it all. We experienced no issues whatsoever. Just wish we could’ve stayed longer!

  • This cabin is so amazing. The drive up there is incredibly beautiful and the cabin itself has an amazing view, photos really don’t do it justice!! The cabin itself was very clean, it had a fully stocked kitchen of utensils, pots, pans, plates, silverware, etc. which we really appreciated as we cooked a lot of our meals in. Also, we had a question our first night and the host was super quick to respond. They also gave us great local tips and detailed instructions on how to get to the cabin. I would love to stay here again- overall an amazing experience.

    Chelsea2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The place was excellent. The location was exiled and perfect. There are waterfalls about 5 miles away which are some of the best waterfalls lives in the Pacific Northwest.

  • This place was fantastic! So cute and cozy. The drive up was great. I had everything I needed in the cabin, and everything was as great as I expected!

  • The cabin was an amazing experience! Such a beautiful setting and home. Would definitely stay again

  • This place is awesome! Super private and quiet. The cabin was sparkling clean and well equipped. Sitting by the fire at night right on the river was definitely the highlight. This place is definitely way in the middle of nowhere but that's exactly what I was looking for. It's not too hard to find, just use Geraldine's directions instead of Google maps as it will take you the wrong way.

Nestled 1/4 mile north of the Winchester Bay marina is the Oregon Coast RV Resort. Our forested resort is surrounded by dramatic natural beauty. You won't find a better spot to enjoy a long term stay or a short vacation on the central Oregon coast. Enjoy hiking, ATVing or a simple nature walk around the many lakes, sand dunes, rivers and forests. Fishing and crabbing a half mile away on the popular Umpqua river inlet from the Pacific Ocean. Grocery markets/Pharmacy/Hospital a couple miles away.
What makes Oregon Coast RV resort unique is the beautiful forest setting, with an abundance of native Oregon Coast Cedar, Spruce, and Alder trees, surrounded by Blackberry, Willows, and Rhododendrons. Enjoy all the Coast has to bring, such as boating, hiking, fishing and nature walks just minutes away. There are plenty of wonderful local restaurants to enjoy the Coast’s natural bounty. Whether you’re staying long term, working locally, or simply enjoying a short vacation, you’ll enjoy every bit of the Coast right here.
Just minutes away you’ll find what appears to look like a sleepy New England coastal town called Winchester Bay. You’ll discover plenty of stores, gift shops and even a bakery. Beyond that, a couple miles north is the city of Reedsport which has two grocery stores and several other accommodations of any small town.
  • This place is excellent if you stay here you will need absolutely nothing because everything is supplied. It's very comfortable the bed is extremely comfortable and the facility is clean quiet and conveniently located. I enjoyed my stay and met a few very nice people who also we're staying there and had also relayed to me how much they liked it there. If you stay a month or more you will get a huge discount which I did . I'll definitely come back again.

  • Great place to stay. Has great access to the bay and crabbing docks. Would recommend this if you like camping in an RV. He has done wonders with this park since taking it over.

  • As an alternative to an extended motel stay, along with the opportunity to be closer to camping friends, this trailer was great. I’ve owned multiple RVs, so it was easy to see little normal maintenance/upkeep issues (some broken window shades, a few inoperable lights, and I couldn’t get the oven pilot to light), but overall I thoroughly enjoyed my 10 day stay. The trailer was clean and comfortable!

Have you ever stayed in a barn? We've renovated this historic building in charming downtown Elkton to offer a unique and eclectic option for travelers. The barn offers several guests bedroom options, a full shared kitchen and shared living area with TV board games, and WIFI. Walking distance to several award winning wineries, restaurants, shops, Umpqua River, Fort Umpqua, butterfly house and gardens. The Umpqua River offers some fantastic swimming spots, fishing, kayaking, and views.
While all of the bedrooms in the barn are private, the kitchen and living room area is shared. All bathrooms are shared as well.
  • Great place and very unique, nice visiting with other folks in the common area, great value.

  • Elkton is a beautiful town! I recommended for travelers that are just wanting to get away for a peaceful time and R&R. The hosts Katie and Susan were very concerned that all my expectations were met. Upon arrival I felt very welcomed to the place. Very accommodating I would definitely recommend!

This charming 2bd cabin has a rustic log interior and is set back 150 yards from the Umpqua River. Surrounded by towering tree lined hills, and always a good 10 degrees warmer than the coast, this is the perfect spot to swim, fish, and relax. A large dock provides easy access to the river in the summer months.
Just 18 miles up Oregon Scenic Highway 38 from Reedsport, is the historic town of Scottsburg. One of Oregons oldest communities; there is not much here now except for a number of homes along the banks of the Umpqua River. The temperature is often a good ten degrees warmer than the coast, and with the towering cliffs of pine trees, and the river flowing peacefully by, you will realise this is a very special place. This charming cabin has a rustic log interior. The cabin has a full kitchen with all the modern amenities, a full bathroom. There are two bedrooms - the master with queen bed, a twin bed, and storage. The walls have a gap (see pictures) up the top so light and noise does transfer from room to room. Most folks never notice it. The second room is smaller with another queen bed. We have new WIFI service which works great now. Also we have added a beautiful deck on the front of the cabin to enjoy your meals while looking out over the garden. The cottage is set about 150 feet from the River on over an acre of property. The cabin shares the property with a main house that is not rented out or used when the cabin is rented. Please note you are not able to see the river completely from the cabin, as the lot has clusters of trees that provide shade. This is a perfect place to have a private getaway or bring the kids for swimming and fishing in the river during the day and campfires in the evening. There is often a complete fire ban in the county in peak summer season - that means no campfires, fireworks, or charcoal grills). We do provide a gas grill in order to BBQ. The river is tidal, and this is the last stretch of the Umpqua you can get a motor boat to. Beyond the bridge it is too rocky, and shallow. There is a dock, and the boat ramp just two miles away uptream. We can provide referrals to a number of excellent local fishing guides if you would like to try your hand. Our dock is in the river during summer months only (generally Memorial Day to early September). Its the perfect place to sit, and soak up the sun, or jump off into the river to cool down. Bring some inflatables and tie up, or bring your kayaks and explore the river and enjoy the wildlife. Scottsburg is less than twenty minutes to the west of Elkton, where you can go wine tasting, visit the Butterfly Pavilion and Education Center, or tour Fort Umpqua - a replica of the Hudson Bay Trading Company fur trading outpost. Scottsburg is 20 minutes east from Reedsport. Activities in Reedsport and Winchester Bay include; Dean’s Creek Elk Viewing, Umpqua Discovery Center, Umpqua Lighthouse State Park, ocean fishing, crabbing, sand dunes, and much more!! There is a small general store in Scottsburg just a short drive away, or the nearest shops are in Reedsport. Regarding cellphone service AT&T does not work here. Verizon, and Sprint seem to. We love it because we leave our phones off, and our troubles goodbye. There is room to park your small RV, boat trailer etc. No cable TV but we have a good selection of videos, books, or family games. Please note that no pets are allowed at this time. If you have any further questions about the area, or property please do not hesitate to email or call. *************************************************************** Area Fishing Guide The Umpqua has one of the most varied river fisheries in Oregon, including a world-class smallmouth bass fishery and strong runs of spring and fall chinook. The Umpqua’s north and south forks come together northwest of Roseburg, and the mainstem flows more than 100 miles northwest to Winchester Bay. Smallmouth bass fishing begins at the top of tidewater and continues up to the forks and into the South Umpqua. Late winter and early spring offer trophy fishing for the Umpqua’s largest bass, while the warm summers bring fishing so fast and furious that an angler could tally 200 fish in a very busy day. Spring chinook are fished from late March into July, with best catches usually in April and May. Fall chinook start moving up in August and September, although the bigger fishery for them is in Winchester Bay (see below). Hatchery coho are planted in the South Fork and move through the mainstem quickly after the first fall rains. Both winter and summer steelhead fishing can be good, with summer fish peaking in June and July on their way to the North Umpqua. The larger winter run sometimes includes a fishery for wild steelhead, and hatchery fish on their way to the South Umpqua are present in good numbers. There is usually good steelhead fishing from December into March. The Umpqua also has a good run of shad that arrives in May and June. Shad are fished from Scottsburg upstream, including popular spots at Sawyer Rapids, Yellow Creek and the forks. More: Umpqua River Smallmouth Bass Fishing (Spring Tactics) Umpqua River Smallmouth Bass Fishing (Summer Tips) Umpqua River, North Fork Treasured for its good runs of wild and hatchery summer steelhead, the gorgeous North Umpqua is also fished for wild winter steelhead, spring chinook and fin-clipped coho, and it offers fine trout fishing above Soda Springs Reservoir. A mix of hatchery and wild summer steelhead enters the North Umpqua in June, with catches high in July and August and again in October and November after the water cools. The river’s winter run gets going well in January but these days is primarily wild fish. Spring chinook are present from April through October, with peak catches in May through July. Trout fishing is best above Soda Springs Reservoir for both rainbows and browns. There is a popular fly fishing-only stretch in the 31 miles of river below the reservoir’s dam. Winchester Bay The Umpqua River’s bay at Reedsport and Gardiner is a great producer of fall chinook salmon, and it also has good numbers of fin-clipped coho salmon, sturgeon, striped bass, perch, crabs and softshell clams. Fall chinook fishing is very popular, providing catches from July through September. Hatchery coho – along with lots of wild fish – are caught in good numbers in late summer and early fall. Fishing for white sturgeon is good in winter into spring. Striped bass move between Winchester Bay and the lower Smith River, with some good bay fishing from June to October. Perch and rockfish are caught in numerous locations from boats, jetties and docks. Crabbing is popular from boats and a pier in Half Moon Bay. Softshell clams are abundant on the flats off Bolon Island and elsewhere. Boats from the ports also access offshore fishing for salmon and other species. Area Hunting Great local hunting in the valley and surrounding hills. This cabin is the perfect location in the fall/ winter season to base yourself for outdoor adventure in the area. Scottsburg is located close to the Siuslaw, Melrose and Tioga units - home to bear, cougar, deer, elk, wild turkey, game birds and more! See local fishing information at bottom of this page. Plenty of room for a group of hunters or fishermen to relax and unwind after a day on the river or on the trail.
  • This place is awesome. We fished, swam, floated, read and relaxed. Great location to get away from it all. Beds were so amazingly comfortable (and I'm super picky about sheets and mattresses).

  • My wife and parents had an amazing time on the Umpqua river! The property was beautiful and the cabin was very comfortable. We had everything that we needed for the week. There is no AC but there are plenty of fans to keep the cabin cool. The location on the river was 5 stars! We rented Kayaks in Eugene to bring with us for the week and used them every day. Fishing was stellar and the river was warm and very swimmable. We played nightly games of Horseshoe and took full advantage of the private dock. The location was also great, being just a 20 minute drive to the coast and town of Reedsport. We will be back again for sure!!!

  • Even though it's a quiet place there is plenty to do around the cabin. Family had a wonderful time. Added plus was the blackberries within the property that my children had fun picking.

  • Paula's place is perfect for 1 or 2 people. Super cute bear theme happening with cozy, comfortable furnishings. I would definitely stay here again.

    Eva2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The space was well designed and cozy. There were doors leading into the rest of the house (which were shut, of course) that made the space a little less private than we’d hoped for. Nevertheless, Paula was very kind and helpful and recommended some wonderful places to visit in the area. The furniture was cute and the bed was comfy. We had a very nice night’s sleep. Thank you, Paula!

  • Love this spot! We didn’t want to leave after our mini vacation. It was great to be able to bring our pups along. The house had a great outdoor space and a fire pit. We had plans to do lots of hiking and exploring but ended up relaxing most of the time taking in the views of the gorgeous lake. Would definitely recommend and rent from the owners again.

Check-in was easy. The place was clean, stylish, had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. The view is amazing. Our dogs felt at home right away and really enjoyed being out in the backyard and lounging in the deck. We will definitely book again if we come back to the area.

  • Great location right on the lake. Enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and the patio overlooking the lake. Clean and new feel.

    Kanwar2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is awesome! These hosts have it figured out. All of the amenities and decor make this one of the most comfortable airbnb I've ever stayed in. I can't say enough good things about the view, you just have to see it for yourself. There are very few places I've stayed where my dogs feel immediately at home, but they loved this place! Big dog wanted to smell everything, and the little dog claimed the day bed with all the sun beams; he tried to stay there when we were packing up. Three yard is dog safe for the most part. You can't leave them unsupervised, but they're safe off leash as looking as they're not too adventurous. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the shower in the master was luxurious. I could have moved in.

  • These are great little cabins for the outdoor enthusiasts! Proximity to the river and fishing is great! Our hosts took good care of us and we were cozy and dry over a very wet weekend. They cabins have hot coffee, an electric fire place heater and dvds to watch. Everything was clean and comfortable. We usually camp, so this was a major rainy weekend upgrade for us! Thanks much, we hope to be back soon!

Cliff included some extras that we really appreciated, including a bundle of wood that we really enjoyed. The location here is great as well — right on the Umpqua, ten minutes to award winning wineries, and thirty minutes to the coast. Highly recommended!

Please see the menu in the yurt or in our photos for more details. Oliver is a professionally trained chef and we make all of our own food from scratch. - We are also offering our outdoor cedar steam sauna for use. We provide towels, wood, and super soft and luxurious robes. You are welcome to use the sauna more than once during your stay. It's $15 for the first use and if you're using the same towels, etc. then we just ask that you purchase more wood from us for subsequent uses. - (TOURS ARE CURRENTLY ON HOLD.) Interested in learning more about the farm? Book a farm tour! You'll meet the animals up close (alpaca selfies!), we'll talk about why regenerative agriculture is so important, and why our current food systems aren't working. Tours are just over one hour and are discounted to $25/group for yurt guests (normally $25/person). You can book a tour on AirBnB by searching "Selfies With Alpacas on Vegan Farm" or just let us know in your booking message. Please give us advanced notice if you are interested in any of these amenities as they take time to prepare and we want to make sure they’re ready for you. Think of us as a gorgeous retreat for the slightly adventurous. It's the perfect place for getting back to nature, R&R, connecting with loved ones, celebrating a birthday/anniversary/graduation, or writing that book you've been meaning to finish! Guests often tell us that they can't remember the last time they slept so well after they've stayed in the yurt with the super-comfy bed and no light or sound pollution (except all of the animal noises!), and that they can’t wait to come back.
The farm is a place to get away from it all. We’ve got breathtaking views and gorgeous drives - and not much in the way of city perks. The town of Drain is 25 minutes away and has the essentials (and a Victorian castle!). Cottage Grove is about 40 mins away and has a charming Main Street with shops, cafes, and restaurants. Eugene is one hour away and has everything you could possibly need. We’re also an hour and a half from the stunning Oregon coast and two and a half hours from bustling Portland. We're in the land of historical covered bridges, so make sure to swing by a few while you're in the area!
  • Cute yurt, friendly animals, lovely hosts. I highly recommend the sourdough bread!

  • We had a wonderful stay at Eryn and Oliver’s yurt. Very cozy and stylish. Beautiful farm and Eryn and Oliver are lovely people and hosts. Thank you for sharing your sanctuary with us 😊

  • We had an amazing time at Eryn & Oliver's place. The yurt was gorgeous and offered us a perfect chance to relax. We took the opportunity and enjoyed their sauna as well as the tour around the farm. Eryn & Oliver have achieved so much during the last 7 months and we couldn't have asked for better hosts. We definitely want to come back soon.

    Martin2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely experience. Nice place to disconnect. Eryn & Oliver were very easy to communicate with. Although we were away from the farm most of the day, we enjoyed the sauna, vegan snacks and being around the animals. Would recommend!

  • The Yurt is absolutely lovely, with details that will make your stay feel all the more special (wood burning fireplace, herbal teas from a local tea shop, homemade soaps and more). The bed is very comfortable and with the quiet and dark you are sure to get a great nights sleep. Eryn and Oliver are great hosts, and with Eryns detailed check in instructions it was also super easy to find even as I drove up in the dark. I highly recommend this place to anyone even considering it!

    Kristine2020-02-18T00:00:00Z

  • This was a perfect little place with everything you would need for a short stay or vacation. Very well kept and usable..... beautiful location with plenty of parking and outside space. This was my first AirBnb reservation and I’m totally sold. John was super fast at responding and was so accommodating with my last minute requests. I will definitely be booking with John every time I go back!!!

    Patrick2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • We’ll definitely stay again! The location was great (on the water, close to town, and close to family up the hill), the place was sparkling clean, and there were thoughtful little touches (like makeup remover pads in the bathroom). Rental owners were easy to communicate with (but not overly so... he gave us our privacy/space), and check-in/out was a breeze. We loved having our dog there with us, and the tile floors made all the difference. The back deck is lovely for warmer months.

    Jessica2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • A place where you can experience a slow pace quite time. The furniture was wonderful and so comfy. It was clean and spacious! I would recommend this to anyone who needs some great R&R. It's so relaxing and anytime we had questions they were answered in quick manner. The cost was a great value and well worth it. I would stay here again and again.

Come and enjoy our relaxing low tech getaway (no wifi, but AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon cell covererage), with easy access to the scenic Umpqua River and Elkton's restaurants and award winning wineries. Located just 45 minutes drive to the stunning Oregon coast and the Dunes.

    Ken2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Karin and Kester are amazing hosts. The listing doesn't do justice to how nice everything actually was. The place was sparkling clean and the location was beautiful. We would love to visit again for a longer stay.

    Garrick2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing hospitality 😊

    Adriana2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • It's five stars because it is clean and the place is exactly as it is described in the listing. There is no cellular connection or wifi or tv, the house is five miles outside of the small town of Elkton and the space is a studio (no separate space for the bedroom) with a private entrance and kitchenette. All of this is described in the listing. But regarding the cellular connection, I took a walk on the road in the morning and I got cell connection within less than a quarter mile from the house. Regarding the five miles outside of Elkton, it's a good road (the road is not overly curvy or hilly or rough) and the driveway is easy to find. We arrived in the daytime and that helped but it should also be easily navigated at after dark. This was a good place for us to stay overnight on our travel from Astoria to Redding.

    Michelle2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • We we're met by our host. Very charming Keren and Kester have a lovely studio. No phone or wifi and was not missed. Elkton is limited on places to dine, Keren suggested available eateries. Very comfortable

Great vintage apartment overlooks Scholfield Slough and wetlands. Has stairs, fenced yard w doggie door. There is one bedroom and full kitchen. Right on the coast but out of the fog! Has its own private entrance. I am dog friendly but I do want to like to know if your pet will be accompanying you.
We call it "the Crows nest" because you are up high and have the most wonderful view looking out over the slough and the wetlands.
Walking distance to restaurants and grocery stores and our local brewery!Great levee walk.
  • Great little apartment! Lots of cute little touches, EXTREMELY comfortable furniture (bed, couch, chairs), and a clawfoot tub for the very best baths! Will definitely come again next time we are in town.

    Shoshana2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • A great upper story apartment with a separate entrance. Very nice claw foot tub. Kathy was absolutely wonderful.

    Weston2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The view of the creek is very nice! It feels extra cozy when it's raining out.

    Craig2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Sitting high above it all, Kathy's place provided a beautiful, private getaway for some time alone for me. It looks like the pictures, only somehow better. I will admit, the wonderful clawfoot tub, really sealed the deal, and I most assuredly enjoyed it while looking out over the twinkly lights in the yard. There was so much to appreciate! In addition to the tub, the bed and sheets were very comfortable, and I just snuggled right into them; there was a scrabble game, a wonderful stove-top Italian coffeemaker I enjoyed, the perfect amount of cooking condiments, a great electric kettle for boiling water, a hanging electric fireplace created an extra cozy living room. The overall ambiance conveyed a great amount of care from the amenities to the carefully chosen non-toxic products. The area has lots to explore; Shore Acres Garden - especially rewarding for the $5 parking fee in the winter, tiny Lake Marie for a sweet short hike, close to Bandon and their great cheese, as well as the beautiful Umpqua Lighthouse - a beautiful sight on the darkest of nights. The apartment is the perfect balance of spacious and comfy, as well as just a very pretty place to be. On New Year's eve, we had a whistling storm, being tucked in the apartment was the perfect place to bring in the new decade. Thank you, Kathy.

  • We had a wonderful stay and will make sure we come back.

    Gary2018-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • Kathy's place is an upstairs unit. She lives down below but isn't bothersome and isn't bothered by you up above. She is there when you need her and gives you privacy if you don't! Upon entering the unit there is quite a staircase to get up it. If you are older it may be an issue for you. It has a door at the top of the stairs that you can close which is great if you have kids or dogs and you don't want to worry about them tumbling down. The unit is very comfortable and welcoming. It's quite spacious as well. Overall, this is a great place to stay and Kathy is an amazing host!

The first full tank is supplied by the host, every tank after that is the responsibility of the renter. NOTE: This is a trailer not a house, power may be limited. Please do not try and run multiple appliances or electronics at the same time.
Set at the end of a row is this large site with a outdoor picnic area and fireplace. The interior of the RV is covered in dark hardwood with all the amenities of home.

  • My stay was so spectacular, makes me wish I could live there. People all around were very nice. AnythingI needed was addressed ASAP as if I were VIP. Past reviews I've read of any issues are all resolved now. The park is as the sign reads "Resort." I truly enjoyed my stay. Highly recommend 😊

Turn off the tech! Turntable w/vinyl collection is as advanced as it gets. Listen to birds, neighboring cows and distant tractors. Breathe in the fresh air. Take in views of the vineyard, mountains and sunsets. Enjoy fine wine at the rustic fire pit.
Private room sleeps two, private bathroom with shower, kitchenette, turntable and classic vinyl collection. Outdoor fire pit, and wine available for purchase. Drive, bike or walk to neighboring wineries, restaurants and the beautiful Umpqua River. Yurts are growing in popularity, especially in Oregon, and offer a unique 'Glamping' experience. Play board games, assemble puzzles and listen to our extensive classic vinyl collection on the turntable. The sofa pulls out to sleep up to an additional two guests. Air mattresses available upon request for larger parties.
You get a beautiful view of the Coastal Mountains and vineyards smattering the hillsides. Sunsets here are gorgeous!
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our night in the yurt. Sitting outside with a beverage in the evening and then waking up to the fog over the vines was incredible! There are plenty of space heaters and blankets to keep you warm on chilly days and has everything that you’d need in the kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. The town of Elkton is super tiny, but has a couple of good restaurants and has the friendliest people! Tyler was great with communication and super easy going - when we’re back in Oregon, we’ll definitely return and this time stay more than one night.

    Lauren2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place for a short weekend getaway. The yurt was clean, cozy, and comfortable. Just about anything we could have wanted in terms of small, thoughtful accommodations was available. Even in the tail end of winter, it was a beautiful location. My husband and I were worried about being cold, but we found plenty of space heaters set up to keep us from freezing. Tyler was super accommodating about our booking dates - when our original plans fell through because of sick kids, he very kindly let us change our booking around. Definitely look forward to coming back again!

    Holly2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in this middle of nowhere place because we were curious about yurt living. It’s a cool space with vintage furniture, no signal and a record player. We were lulled to sleep by rain and the comfortable bed gave us a restful night. In town there a surprisingly good restaurant that serves clean local food and is stocked with some organic groceries. We weren’t able to do any wine tasting but I’m sure that would’ve been fun too

    Malgorzata2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous and peaceful And clean! Wish we could have stayed longer

    Eleonor And Cheyenne2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyed an amazing yurt experience disconnected from internet, tv, and everyday busy life. We loved watching beautiful stars at night. There is a small but very nice wine tasting area serving a variety of great red and white wines. We loved their 2017 Baco Noir and 2014 Pinot Noir. We look forward to coming back when it gets warmer. Thank you Tyler!

    Yasushi2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • The wine is amazing and so are the views! This place is great!

    Ian2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time! We got there before the tasting room closed and got to try their wonderful wines. The yurt was extremely cozy and comfortable. Highly recommended!

    Marina2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had such an amazing little getaway! It was so nice to unplug from our phones and spend some quality time with each other and the pup! Our tasting was amazing with so many beautiful wines. Watching the sun set over the vineyard with a glass of wine in hand and Elton John in the background was so romantic and surreal. Kira loved running around while we sipped wine all evening. We built a fire and had a perfect view of the stars above. We will definitely be returning!

Two-story, two bedroom home, sleeps a maximum of five. Near Halfmoon Bay where the Umpqua meets the pacific. Close to the sand dunes, fishing charters and restaurants. Secure and safe neighborhood with plenty of parking. Trailer accessible + room for boats and other toys. Small kid-friendly creek in in the backyard for fishing. Plenty of room for having a BBQ and campfires. Full kitchen with dishes and appliances. Living room with TV for streaming movies on Netflix, etc. Internet access.
  • Steve's place was great! The location is awesome, especially for crabbers. We could throw the pods into the water, come back to the house, and then head out and do that over and over again instead of standing in the rain. That is huge for us, especially because we have small children. The large movie screen is nice to have and the selection of movies was awesome. The house was stocked with what we needed, and we appreciate Steve's immediate communication and hospitality. He makes the house so cozy and awesome! We will be back someday.

    Kelly2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Steve was communicative and his place was just what we needed. Plenty of space for a family of 5 and 1 dog. The kitchen was fully stocked as was the rest of the space. Access to a washer dryer was great. Location was easy to find!

Nestled in the forested canyons of historic Glenn Creek and East Fork of the Millicoma river, you'll enjoy its beauty, while exploring Golden & Silver Falls, hidden gems in the dense emerald forests of southwestern Oregon. Completely remodeled, this cozy little cabin is three miles from the falls, and 21 miles east of Coos Bay. A perfect retreat for a couple who enjoy an evening under the stars with a fire in our fire pit below the cabin, or the gas fireplace on cold winter nights.
Built in the early 60's as a fishing retreat, this little cabin is 50' from the East Fork of the Millicoma river. With a bright open fully-equipped kitchen, WiFi access, satellite TV, laundry, fire pit and a gas fireplace, it makes winter or summer a perfect time to visit. The bedroom has a queen bed and new mattress, and all the blankets and comforters needed for a snug and restful sleep. Enjoy all the seasons, while watching river birds, wild turkeys, otters, salmon, chipmunks, quail, deer and the occasional elk, who venture down to enjoy the river. Watch for Red Tailed Hawks, and a magnificent American Bald Eagle who surveys the river frequently most mornings. You may even see a bear or two enjoying the apples in our orchard. Chinook salmon spawn in front of the cabin from November to January and steelhead fishing starts mid-December and runs through March. Trout season runs from May 26th through October 31st. During the months of July through late September, fill your basket with fresh blackberries or spend time picking apples in our orchard.
Located on the East Fork of the Millicoma River, and surrounded by the 92,000 acre Elliott State Forest and the 210,000 acre Weyerhaeuser Millicoma Tree Farm as neighbors, you'll enjoy the beauty of the Glenn Creek forest canyon. Not isolated nor secluded but private on the river side, the Little Cabin sits 50' from the river. There is no swimming available at the cabin (due to it's natural spawning grounds), but further upstream near Golden & Silver Falls there are several natural swimming holds.
  • Highly recommended!! This place is the cutest little cabin and is perfectly stocked.

  • The through communication and attention to every detail at this adorable, clean, well-run cabin frees you to focus on the beauty of the nearby waterfalls that are easily accessible from close parking and short, beginner hikes to the waterfall bases. The waterfalls are breathtaking! Directions to the cabin from Dee are perfect, and the guidebook in the counter serves as a up to date ready reference. Highly recommend this cabin, except when I need it to be vacant to visit again! Cheers!

    Jeremy2019-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Dee and Jim’s cabin is lovely! Every possible amenity you might need is there.; even a full sized, front loading washer & dryer, which we used. We hiked the 3 falls which was easily accessible and was about 3 miles further down the road. I would highly Recommend staying in their cabin it was fantastic!

  • Charming, comfortable, quiet, well equipped kitchen for easy prep and enjoyable sun room for meals and games with a great set of window looking onto the creek. Easy close hikes and the road outback is a nice evening stroll. We were very impressed and would highly recommend this little cabin for a quiet escape.

  • Harlean is a wonderful host. Very knowledgeable of the area and with lot's of great recommendations. We stayed here while visiting the dunes and beach, and the cottage was a cozy place to hole up when we needed rest from our outdoor activities. Very comfortable little place with all you need for a weekend away. Thank you again!

  • Harlean was incredibly warm and very communicative. Her place was clean, warm, and inviting. She offered several thoughtful suggestions on places to eat and a good hike in the area, and even left some banana bread she was making when we arrived out for us for after we were done exploring. Definitely a great place to stay if you're passing through!

  • My wife and I were doing a cross country trip and stayed for the night. Harlean was awesome and very helpful. She made sure we had everything we needed for our follow on road trip and made sure we knew about any weather that may delay us or give us trouble. On top of having a great place, she went above and beyond to help us.

  • Made a quick one night pit stop in Coos Bay and Patrick's place ticked all the boxes: clean, cozy and affordable! Also located a couple blocks from all the cool restaurants in town, so perfect for a chilly winter walk after dinner. Only note is that the space on the second floor is somewhat short, may be a challenge for other guests >6'. Otherwise a perfect stay, I'd come again!

It was clean and quiet. We had a family of 3 deer, mom and 2 babies, that showed up every day, and we loved watching them.

'The Tuckaway' is in a private location surrounded by 5 acres, some of which is occupied by miniature donkeys. Come and enjoy our 'low tech' set up (no wifi, but AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon cell phone coverage), minutes from the scenic Umpqua River. Elkton is close by with restaurants, award winning wineries and Fort Umpqua. Explore the stunning Oregon coast and the Dunes, only 45 minutes drive away.
'The Tuckaway' is essentially an open plan arrangement with a privacy screen for the main bed area. An outside patio space is also provided with barbecue, table and chairs.
A scenic and quiet location surrounded by farmland, but close to amenities.
  • The Tuckaway is a great place for family. Beautiful scenery, peaceful, and quiet. Love all of the fresh air and beautiful area. Karin and Kester are amazing hosts. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. Loved it!

    Todd2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Kester and Karin are exceptional hosts. We felt welcomed from the moment we set foot into their place. We had great conversations. We were a group of 6 and we felt like we were staying home. They made sure we had everything we need.

    Bilal2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Kester’s place is a great place to bring many people for a good price. There were many comfortable beds, the space was clean and the bathroom was very nice. We so appreciated the tea, coffee, and water left for us to use. Although we didn’t cook, it would be a great place to cook and eat at. Check in and out was clear and easy and the area was beautiful.

  • Great getaway from the city life into a farm land! We came as a family of 6 with different generations from child to parents to grandparents to great grandparents for a 2 day hang out trip to include the dunes. Location is quite a distance from the dunes/Honeyman camp (~1hr 10 mins drive) and accommodation is deep into Elkton about 10 mins drive from city itself. The space is good size and fit us all, also roll away bed available if needed. Place was clean with fresh towels and sheets. Little kitchenette with essential utensils, a portable 2 pc burner/hotplate, grill and sitting space outside. Water from well does smell of sulfur and might shock some, Karen was nice to provide bottled water for us. We also noticed if water is boiled, smell/taste goes away. Super clean oxygen satiated air with flat fields great for activities/play. The donkeys were a huge highlight, we got to meet and feed them a couple times, very sweet family of 3! Very hospitable hosts! Amazing family hang out that brought us all together! Would highly recommend!

  • I went with my husband, two grown girls, and two grand daughters. How fun to have two cute beds for them! The accommodations were wonderful, roomy, clean, and we had all we needed for a lovely, peaceful stay. Our hosts were so warm and welcoming, and gladly visited with us, sharing their adorable and beautiful donkeys with my 5 & 3 year old grand daughters, who were delighted with them. The neighbor had a horse, mule, and goats, which were all fun to visit and watch, too. The trees are beautiful and the drive to Tuckaway Rd is glorious accented by river views. Kester and his wife were gracious and I would highly recommend their sweet place to anyone looking for an easy, quiet, peaceful and comfortable stay in the woods!

  • The Tuckaway is a hidden gem in a peaceful setting. My family stayed for one night on the way up the coast. My kids loved feeding the miniature donkeys in the morning and my wife enjoyed coffee on our private patio. There are some wonderful wineries and a delicious breakfast spot in town too. Our hosts were warm and welcoming. Definitely recommend!
