Places to stay in Shepton Mallet
There is a warm welcome waiting for you in my quirky Georgian home in the historic centre of the market town of Shepton Mallet. Price is for double room with continental breakfast. I have 2 further bedrooms if required at £20 per person per night.
A pretty house, lovingly furnished and made into a beautiful, quirky home full of original art waiting to welcome you. The main (blue one) double bedroom is on the second floor and from this there is a further staircase leading to the double room created in the attic space (this room has limited head height but it is the one everyone falls in love with) I also have another bedroom on the second floor which is suitable for one adult or two children. I only take a booking from one set of friends or family so that you have exclusive use of the second floor and other spaces in the house, plus my full attention! There is a shower room on the second floor for the sole use of guests. The space is really good for a family or a group of friends enjoying the delights of this part of the West Country. If you book a room then I take no further bookings so that you have your own spaces.
We are in the heart of everything that Somerset has to offer. 4 miles from Wells, 8 miles from Cheddar gorge and caves and 15 miles from Bath, 22 miles from Bristol. 6 National Trust properties within an hour and Longleat 20 minutes away by car. . The south coast of Dorset at Lyme Regis is just over and hour away and the Somerset coast at Sand Bay is 45 minutes away. There are many lovely market towns to explore and beautiful countryside to walk.
  • Really comfortable stay - Trisha was such a welcoming host.

  • We had a wonderful stay. It is not possible to be a more welcoming hostess than Trisha. Beautiful home, right at the centre of Shepton Mallet, a lovely town to stay. We were sad to go but we'd love to return. Thank you!

  • Wonderful stay in a beautiful part of southern England with a delightful host in an absolutely gorgeous house. Trisha made us feel truly welcome from the very first minute. Beautifully decorated spacious home with tons of character, great breakfast and a fantastic host! Trisha's suggestions for local excursions and places to eat in Shepton Mallet were spot on. As a first time Airbnb user I didn't quite know what to expect. 2 nights in Trisha's home have fully convinced me that Airbnb is the way to go for any future excursions. Future hosts have high expectations to meet though ;-). As a nice extra touch I even got a small gift for my birthday that happened to occur while staying with Trisha.

  • Trisha's house is just perfect. So lovely and cosy. The perfect spot to explore Cheddar Gorge and it's surrondings. Trisha is an amazing and sweet host who really cared to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The house is a gem with super confi beds and an awesome shower! And every morning she set the table for us at her lovely kitchen with a delicious breakfast. We couldn't have asked for more. Trisha and her house are the best we could have found for our weekend away from London. We are very greatfull and will definetely come back if we ever have the chance. Thank you so much for everything Trisha xx

  • Great character-full house in a lovely part of England. Some award winning pubs within a short drive and we'll placed for a visit to Cheddar Gorge, Bath and surroundings Somerset. Our host was a delight - very helpful with bookings and finding the property; conscientious and easy-going; and clearly takes care with visitors' comfort (clean towels, excellent shower, good breakfast etc).

  • Our stay with Trisha was our first Air bnb experience and we couldn't have chosen a better beginning. Trisha is delightful, charming and very accommodating. Her home is cozy and comfortable and our room had everything we needed and more. Our breakfast was beautifully arranged in the kitchen and was plentiful and delicious. She helped us greatly with her knowledge of the area, giving us all the time and attention we needed but not being intrusive. We would definitely stay with her again and hope you will too--you won't regret it!

  • Trisha is a wonderful host: her house in Shepton Mallet is beautifully kept and full of character, and is a reflection of Trisha's own warm personality and the result of her eclectic travels and artistic interests. Myself, my wife and 2 boys were greeted with just the right combination of friendliness and consideration. Trisha is very thoughtful about the details that make a home a pleasure to stay in. The breakfasts were a treat, the rooms comfortable, and we were made to feel like friends from the outset. Highly recommended.

  • Fantastic experience! We felt very much at home in Trisha's home. The house is beautiful, cosy and well equipped. Bedrooms are excellent and the beds very comfortable. Trisha is a lovely, kind and caring host. She made us a delicious breakfast every morning! Location is very convenient for anyone exploring Somerset or visiting Bristol and Bath. Overall, a very pleasant experience and highly recommended to anyone!

Quietly situated in the small Somerset village of Holcombe, The Cottage is the perfect country getaway. We are 30 minutes south of Bath. Perfect for touring the South West. Family friendly.
A hearty farmhouse breakfast is provided of bacon, sausages, eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes.
The Cottage’s central location makes an ideal base for touring the South West, with Bath, Wells and Cheddar Gorge all on your doorstep. Walks and bike rides are definitely a must as the surrounding countryside is breath taking, especially during spring with the daffodils blooming. We can also offer guided walks in our area. Bath is a short car journey away with its literature and music festivals. The Thermae Bath Spa is a wonderful and relaxing way to spend an afternoon. This historic city has many stunning places to visit including the crescents, the Assembly Rooms and Prior Park gardens (where Pride and Prejudice was filmed). The smallest English city of Well is also a short trip away. The cathedral is breath-taking and hosts many delightful concerts. There is also a weekly market with stalls filled with local produce and quirky jewellery. There are several notable National Trust properties in this area: Lytes Cary, Montecute House and Stourhead to name but a few. There are golf courses in Bath and Wells. Frome is a charming town filled with snug tearooms and eccentric little vintage shops. Babington House, a private members house, is just 8miles away and is perfect for tea on the lawn or drinks at their stunning bar. The Mulbury factory shop and Kilver Court retail outlet is just outside Shepton Mallet. The Glastonbury tor is a definite for anyone visiting the area, as is the town itself. There is plenty for kids to do as well. Longleat is just down the road and is always popular. Farleigh Hungerfod has one of the country’s last swimming clubs; wild swimming in the river is perfect for those summer months. The castle is also incredibly exciting. Nunney also has a beautiful castle that the kids are free to run around in. Cheddar Gorge is incredible fun with tours through the caves and rock-climbing for the more adventurous among us. Tennis courts can be found just a short distance away in Writhlington. There are also two charming pubs within walking distance, as is the local village shop.
  • We had a lovely time staying at the cottage. Claire was a lovely host who provided us with a homemade cake upon arrival and an amazing English breakfast each morning. She also had some toys which she lent to my 3year old daughter who absolutely loved playing with them. The cottage was lovely and extremely peaceful. Dinner at the nearby Holcombe inn is highly recommended as is a trip to nearby Wells which is just lovely.

    Danielle2016-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed staying at Claire's cottage. It was beautiful, clean, and stress-free. Claire was overalls helpful and gave great tips on interesting places to visit while we were there!!! My family and I had a wonderfully relaxing weekend. We would absolutely go back in a heart beat and recommend this cottage to anyone.

    Angelina2013-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing stay, wonderful host and very clean, quiet and comfortable! A definite A+++ experience! Thank you Claire

    Renae2016-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • We returned Sunday evening from an amazing weekend in Somerset celebrating my dads 60th. Communications with Claire before arriving were efficient and informative, advising us what to look up and book in advice of our stay which was really helpful. We arrived Friday evening to the beautiful village in which the cottage in set, and were wowed by the cottage which is as shown in the photos. It has everything you need and more which Claire had ensured, and we were given all the information needed for our cottage stay. We were so impressed with the delicious home baked cake Claire had made us, and a bottle of champagne since it was a birthday trip. Unfortunately Claire's husband was very unwell during our stay so she was unable to provide a cooked breakfast for us which she apologised profusely for and instead provided everything we needed and more for a huge continental breakfast: pastries, baked bread, yoghurts, fruit, cheeses, cold meats, and cereals etc which was a lovely touch. All the amenities were in full working order and the only thing we struggled with was putting back the sofa bed from a bed to sofa each morning as it was quite difficult to push in. It was fairly comfortable but the bed in the one bedroom was very comfortable. The garden area was gorgeous and we were lucky enough to see two deers which were (unfortunately) eating flowers in Claire's garden one morning! Claire's recommendation of places to visit were brilliant and the city of Wells around 25 minutes away is an absolute must see, such a beautiful place. All in all we loved our stay, Claire was the best host we could have asked for and we will definitely be back to stay again! Definitely recommend!

  • Claire was a fantastic host! Our only regret is that we didn't plan a longer stay. We were greeted by Boris her sweet dog and a freshly baked apple cake and a bowl of fruit. She gave me a lift to the next village to pick up some beverages and take out since everything in Holcombe was closed. The property and accommodations are wonderful and I can not say enough about the delicious English breakfast she made for us each day. She loaned us her maps and helped us plan our adventures in the area. We hope to get back someday!!!

    Julie2014-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Claire is a generous and welcoming host. She is very approachable and friendly. The freshly made cake and Easter eggs, as well as food in the fridge (delicious homemade marmalade) made for a very warm welcome. Add to this Claire's cooked breakfasts and we felt really well looked after. She is indeed a super host! The Cottage is equally as welcoming with light, warm rooms, bringing the delightful gardens and trees in. We slept well and could not wish for more. Although rural, places such as Wells, Shepton Mallet and Frome are close by and accessible by car. There are lovely walks on the doorstep, too. Thank you, Claire. We wish you continued success and hope to return for more R&R.

  • Claire is a fantastic host. Her communication was fantastic and the place we stayed in was perfect for what my friend and I needed. Claire went above and beyond by providing us with a freshly-baked cake, loaf of bread, orange juice, yoghurts and milk. We were welcome to sit out in the garden and pick fruits such as raspberries and apples. Claire provided us with a delicious cooked breakfast each morning which set us up for the day. She offered us advice on places to go and how to get there and even offered to drive us to the local pub so we could both drink, if we had wanted. Already recommended this place to friends and family. The location is perfect as it's secluded but so close to places like Longleat, Frome and Wells. Thank you Claire for a great stay!

    Naomi2017-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at The Cottage over the May bank holiday weekend. Claire was very helpful in giving us tips on places to visit and provided us with some great suggestions for restaurants. I would definitely recommend a stay at Claire's. One point to note though is that there is only one double bed upstairs with an en suite; the other bed is a sofa bed downstairs in the lounge/kitchen area. If you are going as two couples you might want to bear this in mind. We were travelling with elderly parents so it wasn't appropriate for us to sleep in the shared area but Claire was very accommodating in letting us sleep in a room in the main house. To be fair it does explain this in the main description, but I was thrown by the flag that said '2 beds'. All in all though it was a lovely trip, thanks Claire!

  • I have stayed in 4 Airbnbs and Elizabeth's is by far the cleanest. Everything is thought through, waters, tea's in room, kettle, towels. The breakfast in the morning was delightful. She and her husband were extremely accommodating throughout (even giving us a lift!) I would 100% recommend staying here and if I return, I will be sure to come back and stay with Elizabeth and Jeff.

  • Excellent stay with Emma & Warwick in their beautiful home. Young professional couple Overnight stopover for a wedding in Wells. Emma kept in great touch by text in the run-up to our stay. The room was spacious, light & comfortable with a huge en suit. Breakfast was delicious. They even gave us a lift into town the next day. Can't recommend highly enough.

    Adam2015-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • I think this is by far the nicest Airbnb we have stayed in. The room and bathroom were absolutely gorgeous. The room was very spacious and the bathroom was huge. The furniture and accessories were of a very high standard and made the whole stay feel very luxurious. Emma was a delightful host who even offered to drop us off at the restaurant we were going to. The whole house is beautiful and she made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was lovely. Perfect location for visiting Wells and would definitely stay again if we were passing.

    Rona2015-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay @ Emmas was fantastic. They are an open, fun and very friendly family (including the two lovely cats), and happy to answer all your questions. The room is as light and beautiful as pictured, and the bathroom is to die for (as is the rest of the house - both stylish and cosy at the same time.) The breakfast was lovely, with Müesli, fresh fruit and warm pasties, just as described in the add. The picturesque city of Wells is about 15mins walk from their house, and is definitely worth a visit. Try to get one of the regular free tours through the Cathedral - there are a lot of things you wouldn't see or get to know without being told. If you have some spare time, have a look around the courtyard of Emmas family business, Wells Reclamation Somerset. It's a wonderful collection of beautiful furniture, antiques, statues and the odd russian army tank. To sum it up: If you're in the area, stay at Emmas. And give the cats a cuddle from me.

In the country but close to the UK's smallest city, this quiet room with private bathroom is ideal for people wanting to enjoy a rural setting, a great home made breakfast and a warm Somerset welcome.
Our two guest rooms are at one end of the bungalow. With an en suite bathroom you will be private and undisturbed. The rooms have a kettle and tea and coffee so you're able to make yourself a hot drink. Our breakfasts will set you up for the day. We cook a full English breakfast (bacon, eggs, toast, tea or coffee etc) on the Aga but can provide a continental breakfast if you would prefer something a bit lighter. Over the years I've cooked for Vegans, Vegetarians, Coeliacs, meat-eaters so if you do have special dietary requirements then please let me know when you book and we'll do our best to meet your needs.
Launcherley is a hamlet near Wells. Our nearest neighbours are further up the lane. We have 35 acres of land and our two grown up children live on the premises in separate accommodation.
  • We stayed with Jennifer for a night after a day out at Wookey Hole Caves. Delighted with the warm welcome and her amazing hospitality throughout our stay. The bungalow is set in beautiful grounds and garden on a quiet street away from the city noises, perfect for a soothing weekend getaway or a night stop. We left on a high note after a sumptuous and generous breakfast. Her recommendation on Wells Cathedral was spot-on and we quite enjoyed the visit. Would love to stay there again.

    Surbhi2016-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a really good stay with Jennifer on her family ‘farmstead’. A lovely, quiet, countryside setting yet just minutes and 2 miles out of Wells and 4 from Glastonbury. The room with ensuite was good and the bed wonderfully comfortable… and the breakfast was superb, everything from cereals, Greek yoghurt and berries to all you can think to include in a full English, and done just as ‘you’ like it! Jennifer’s been doing B&B a long while and knows well how to make it work. A lovely host, a lovely stay.

    Mike2016-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer was truly the perfect host and we could not recommend staying with her more. Her home is in a great location near to the beautiful city of Wells (the Bishop's Palace & Gardens a must-see) and not far either from the (very alternative) town of Glastonbury where we climbed up to the incredible Glastonbury Tor. The room itself was lovely, with an en suite bathroom and very comfortable bed. Jennifer had great local knowledge, looked after us very well and it was great to hear her stories of the variety of guests she has received at her home over the years - including other B&B owners from France and elsewhere. This was a lovely place to stay with the perfect host in Jennifer.

    Tristan2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer is in the country, a very beautiful location about a five minute drive from Wells. The guest room was perfect with its own bathroom, and breakfast was superb. Jennifer was the perfect host. Highly recommend.

    William2018-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Nice quiet location and a lovely breakfast in the morning. Jennifer and Harold were very pleasant hosts.

    Terry2017-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Everything about this AirB&B was better than expected but the one thing that made this extra special was the wonderful warmth of Jennifer, the host. She went out of her way to make sure you had what was needed, helped with any problems and was interested in your day and where you'd been. She was the perfect host.

    Lin2017-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer's place is very well located for visiting Wells and the surrounding area. It is on top of a hill and the views are wonderful. The accommodation is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is very good, with plenty of choice. Jennifer is a very good hostess and a mine of local information. I would have no hesitation in recommending this bed and breakfast.

    Donald2018-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer is a warm and welcoming host, and the vegetarian breakfast I had requested was delicious. The room was as described, all very comfortable. The views from the breakfast room are beautiful, although the weather obscured them a little on the morning of my visit!

I offer a spacious quiet single room, with views over farmland. I welcome you to my home, cosy, quiet and centrally located. Close to Bath, Glastonbury, Bristol, Frome etc. Many great places to visit nearby. Simple breakfast is provided.
My home is in Stratton on the Fosse near to Midsomer Norton, and is well sited to explore the Somerset levels in the Mendips, with many beautiful walks and sites. We are very close to Glastonbury, Bath, Bristol, Yeovil, the Somerset Levels and all areas nearby. I am on a main road, which has a rural bus route hourly, and the cottage itself is quiet. Facilities in the village are a pub, which provides some food, an abbey with monks ( Downside School) and a village hall! There is a local small supermarket, larger shopping is in Midsomer Norton nearby. Walks include to the Cheddar Caves, Glastonbury with its Tor and Abbey, Frome, and further afield, to Bath and Bristol area ( only half hour by car, or slightly more by bus). I look forward to welcoming you and will happily show you around if I am free.
I live close to spectacular scenery and beautiful cities - the Somerset levels, the Mendips, Glastonbury with all its attractions, Bath which is a world heritage site, Bristol which is a vibrant attractive city, Cheddar caves and gorge, and more.
  • It was a pleasure to meet Anna, who is a gracious and witty host. A late night arrival, room in the fridge, coffee on the go and an interesting chat were all readily available. Accommodation was just the job for a stayover before a sporting event the following day, and directions to the location were spot on. Many thanks!

  • Anna made me very welcome. The room was clean and simply furnished - just what I needed after a busy day on my course. Her cottage is very cosy and Anna gave me excellent directions so I found it easily. Breakfast was full of interesting and tempting things to keep the wolf from the door until lunchtime. I would recommend this airbandb.

    Susanne2016-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Anna's home is lovely. It's a great place to stay. Anna and Tony are really kind and welcoming, and will do whatever they can to make your stay comfortable. They very kindly invited me to eat dinner with them on the one night I stayed and this was perfect as it was a flying visit as part of a cycle down to Glastonbury Festival (under 10 miles away). As I was only passing through I didn't get a chance to walk around the area too much but I know it's a very beautiful part of the world and I'm sure it would make a great base if you're visiting the Mendips. Breakfast was good and varied, and I couldn't ask for more overall during my stay.

    Kieran2017-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is cosy and very clean and Anna was very welcoming, friendly and helpful, I appreciate the thoughtful attention to detail such as fresh flowers in the room, use of the kitchen and food in the fridge.

  • Great clean quiet place

    Ron2017-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Anna is a wonderful host. Her house is clean and welcoming, the room bright and the village very nice. I was in Stratton-on-the-Fosse to research Downside Abbey archives, and the monastic complex is 5 minutes walking from Anna's place. After work it was great to relax in the garden and eat overlooking the hills. Bath is 40 minutes away by bus (much faster if you have a car) and the bus stop is few minutes from Anna's place. Wells, with its wonderful cathedral, is also very close and accessible by bus. I warmly recommend Anna's home, and I hope to visit her again in the future.

Stay in Magdalene Cottage, a quirky ancient cottage dating back to 1470. If you are looking for modernity, this is not for you! The cottage once belonged to Wells Cathedral and has many interesting historic features, not a straight wall in the place! Couples and single ladies only please.
Magdalene Cottage is a quirky Medieval cottage in keeping with the city. Guests have the use of a sitting room, a double bedroom with Georgian features, a wardrobe, large bookcase ( full of fascinating books)! Tea/ coffee facilities, and a shared 1950's bathroom( sorry, no shower, but plenty of hot bath water!) The owner is a Historian and Author, so plenty of advice available on local history.
The neighbourhood is friendly, fascinating and right in the heart of the city. There are nearby parks, and a woodland behind the house. There is a convenient shop/post office and garage just along the road, and a wonderful 'gastro pub' which serves delicious lunches and evening meals.
  • We had an excellent stay including a wonderful breakfast. Juliet is a great host, she is very knowledgeable and professional. Thank you.

  • A fantastic stay! Thank you!

    Julia2018-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • I adored staying in Juliet’s beautiful cottage - it is just like some of the houses I gaze at enviously in interiors magazines, full of character and charm, immaculately clean and tidy yet full of interesting things. The descriptions on Airbnb are very accurate, so if you want lots of mod cons this is not the place for you; but I had everything I needed for a one-night stay. The room is full of books on medieval history, churches and spirituality which is Juliet’s particular area of interest, and I really enjoyed finding out more about her research and writing over the simple but delicious breakfast. Finally, the location just three minutes’ walk from the cathedral could not have been better for me,

  • We had a lovely stay here in this beautiful house. and we were made to feel very welcome. As the room is in the basement with a small cloakroom/toilet you have quite a lot of privacy or you can go up to the ground floor and sit in the lounge. Really nice breakfast in the kitchen which was right next to our room. Fantastic location to wander around Wells too.

Huxham Farmhouse is a beautiful Grade II listed Georgian farmhouse set in the heart of rural Somerset. The Wells room is a cosy double bedroom on the 1st floor with a 4'6" bed, facing east and overlooking the kitchen courtyard complete with well .
Whilst the bathroom is not en suite, it is directly opposite the Wells room and is huge with a lovely free-standing roll top bath, a separate shower cubicle with power shower and a large oversized vanity unit with oodles plenty of space to prep yourself! The bathroom is your private space for the stay.
  • My partner and I stayed at Huxham Farmhouse for 5 nights during Glastonbury Festival 2017 as we preferred not to camp. We found both Andrew and his wife Frances to be very warm, welcoming, relaxed and accommodating of our needs (as well as our late comings and goings due to the festival). Their advance communication was also excellent. The farmhouse itself is very spacious and beautiful with a great power shower, claw-feet bath, clean towels and ample space to unpack our belongings. We would definitely recommend Huxham Farmhouse to anybody staying in the area and would very happily stay there again in the future. Oreo the spaniel was an added delight :). Thanks so much for making our stay so pleasant folks! :)

  • Barbie & Nick were for us the first airbnb hosts with whome we really had daily contact and you can not meet lovelier and more welcoming hosts than them. The house and garden are beautiful, their two little dogs are adorable and we will miss all four of them very much! We definitely want to come back, as soon as possible. And the surroundings offer beautiful sight seeing places as Bath, Glastonbury, Wells, Cheddar Gorge etc. within short driving range.

  • Dear Barbie and Nick, Thank you for the warm welcome into your fabulous, classical, country home. We were bowled over by its rich history and awesome grounds. The breakfasts were generous, varied and tasty, and our 9month old was in his element be it trying to pet your lovely little dogs, or out on the lawn enjoying the space and sunshine. You made things effortless for us while we were busy running round getting ready for our friends wedding. An extra special little thanks to Nick for his historical info re Wells, Glastonbury and not to mention your own bucolic surrounds. Wishing you all the best as a great Airbnb destination!

My house is a modern town house which is part of a 9 house development built on the site of an old mill.It is located right in the centre of Wells and literally only a 2 minutes walk from the Main Street. Wells is a beautiful city full of lovely old buildings dating back to the Middle Ages. The room was spacious and very comfortable, and the private bathroom large and equipped with both a bath and shower. Ruth's home is convenient for the centre of Wells, and couldn't have been better located for me to meet my colleague who lives round the corner. • Lovely, clean, quiet room with a wonderful location in easy walking distance to the Cathedral, Bishop's Palace, and town center. Ruth was warm and welcoming and gave me some great suggestions - visit St Cuthbert's church (lovely) and attend Evensong service at the Cathedral (also lovely). Parking in Wells is a challenge and carpark adds up, but I did find a spot on the street within 5 min walk.

Looking to get away from the hustle & bustle? They say there’s something very special about the ley lines in this area. We don’t know much about that, but what we can vouch for what a peaceful and relaxing place this is. We offer 4 letting spaces that have been lovingly restored and furnished with our guests in mind. Comfy beds with crisp white/neutral linen, elegant bathrooms with oodles of hot water. Power showers to invigorate you. And breakfasts to spoil you.
The Bruton Room is our newest addition to our letting rooms. It has a magnificent teak slay bed, and is located at the front of the house on the 1st floor with a double aspect (southerly & westerly) view over the front garden. It is traditionally furnished with antiques and has ample hanging & drawer space for even the most heavy of travellers. The ensuite bathroom has an oversized bath with oodles of space to recline in and a power shower for when time is more pressing.
Huxham Farmhouse is set in the picturesque hamlet of Huxham, with it's pretty green and surrounded by fields where sheep and cattle graze. The room is up two flights of stairs in our loft. Handmade builders marks are visible on the beams and the room decor reflects our time in Africa and Bangladesh.
Croscombe was first recorded in AD 706 and there are scenic properties to enjoy, such as our 14th c church with Jacobean carved pews.

  • We stayed in one of the rooms within the b&q as opposed to the self catering room. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer room which had everything we needed for our stay. The breakfast in the morning kept us going most of the day! The meal with Mary on the Friday night was planned well as it meant we didn’t have to go and find food after our 6 hour drive down from Norfolk!
