Places to stay in Stockbridge
Upstairs apartment in a two family home available for outdoor adventures or a peaceful couples getaway. Located 20 minutes from Killington. World class skiing, fishing, hiking and four-wheeling/snowmobiling. Connected with the VAST and VASA trails system. Appalachian Trail access. One mile to Stonybrook Tavern, 7 miles to I-89. Guests have access to the private 64 acre plot, river and brook access, plenty of parking, fishing poles available and guided excursions available upon request.
The home is quiet and peaceful. I still have some modifications I'm trying to make so please pardon any dust while we make these adjustments. The interior will always be left in immaculate shape to accept guests but you may find some clutter in the carport as I continue to project and putter.
The house is located about a mile up a lightly traveled dirt road. It is a rural country setting with tons of woodlands, rivers and farms and not much else. And that is how we like it. There is a quaint little restaurant a mile from the house open 5 days a week (Wednesday-Sunday). The closest markets are in Pittsfield and Bethel, about 7 miles in either direction. This is a retreat from the busy hustle and bustle of modern life. It is peaceful, clean and quite.
  • This was a great find. Easy drive to and from Killington Ski area. Very quiet area and the apartment was clean and very spacious.

  • It was perfect for the two of us. Being out of the way and remote added to the trip

    David2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Kevin’s place. The house had everything we needed and was a quick 30 min drive to Killington. I’d stay here again.

    Heather2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • The photos dont do this place justice. It is much more spacious than it looks and it honestly felt like home the minute we walked in the door. Kevin was super responsive, he had the heat on, light on and a nice smelling diffuser going when we arrived late in the night. The cabinets are stocked with all the essentials and some interesting options like homemade relish and all kinds of teas. The property is so gorgeous... It's way down a dirt road along a creek and the driveway has its own bridge over the stream. We where here in the winter and it looked like a winter wonderland out of the giant windows all around the common area. Im planning to come back and explore in the summer!

    Andrea2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Good location to ski killington, comfortable. Prided coffee, eggs and English muffins. Communication was great. Clean and easy, great value.

    Ramsey2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Kevin was very easy to communicate with. The property is just past a stream with a bridge you drive over. Very remote and peaceful. The space is the tip floor of a two story home. Wifi worked well in absence of phone service. Fresh coffee beans in the French press was a welcome treat!

    Dan2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely apartment on a great piece of property. Well stocked, plenty of entertainment options. Not too far from the ski resorts. We absolutely loved it.

    Vanessa2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Kevin’s place is super great! We loved the sound of the rushing river and watching the millions of stars at night. The house is very cute and decorated with all sorts of interesting things to look at. Couch is very comfortable and there are 2 working TVs. House is stocked with all kitchen supplies and the table had an adorable little vase filled with flowers! (As a florist, that was a nice touch!) The house sits on a large property so we got to run around and play in the snow which was a huge plus! It is very close to Killington Ski Resort which was the whole reason for the trip! Would stay there again!

  • The perfect place to stay when visiting Killington. Just a short drive away from the town/slopes. Very clean and lovely host. I’m probably biased from spending so much times in cities, but the place was so unbelievably quiet! I slept like a baby here.

  • Lee Ann goes above and beyond the duties one would expect of an Airbnb host. She is very kind person, and we greatly enjoyed our stay. Her space is lovely — comfortable, homey and conveniently located — everything you can ask for. She was great at communicating leading up to our stay and greeted us in person even though we arrived late at night after a long drive. We appreciated the personal touch of providing us with plenty of snacks and water bottles, and leaving a list of great local recommendations. You can tell Lee Ann is an experienced host who’s already thought of everything you might need, so you can truly relax when you’re there.

    Mike2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lee Ann was an amazing host and her studio apartment was perfect for our ski weekend in Killington. The apartment was clean, the check in-process was a breeze, and Lee Ann went out of her way to accommodate us during our stay. Overall great experience and we’ll definitely look to stay here again for our next trip to Killington.

    Justin2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot. Lee Ann was a great host — she stayed up for our much later than expected check-in and provided some delicious local snacks. The space was very private, clean, and well heated (which was especially welcomed given the negative temps). It was a 20 min drive to Killington and was close to some cute local joints. Would definitely stay again.

    Becky2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lee Ann is an amazing hostess. She welcomed us much later than we were anticipating. The suite is attached to a gallery that displays a variety of artists' work, and downstairs from the owners' home. There is a large bedroom with a kitchenette with an attached large bath. There were several touches that created a welcoming space from the home made banana bread to the variety of soaps, coffee, and tea. There is a comfy recliner next to a small table with an overhead light perfect for getting cozy and reading. The space itself with the bedroom and bathroom is private with two entrances, one is a private entrance outside, the other is through the gallery. It was both clean and cozy. My husband and I enjoyed the downtime away from home. We planned on heading to Killington, which is right down the road, but opted for snowmobiling, which is also right down the road. It was lovely having a warm and welcoming place to return to at the end of the day. Thank you, Lee Ann!

    Andrea2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lee Ann is a great Airbnb host and has a wonderful place to stay at. From the moment we booked our stay she reached out to us and asked if there was anything she could do ahead of time and wanted to let us know that she was accommodating as far as check-in times. We were coming from very far away and arrived later in the evening and she was more than willing to work with us. The place itself is great! It is very clean, spacious, and very warm. The heating system was very effective and easy to operate. The bathroom was large and sparkling. This is a great place to stay while spending a few days at Killington.

    Alex2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Less than 20 minutes to Killington, great take-away breakfast spot about 5 minutes up the road, no cell service, but Lee Ann has great WiFi, so you’re covered! A great cozy stay after a day on the mountain! We will be back.

Cedar Rock Chalet is the place to be when you want to get away from it all! Located in the small Vermont town of Stockbridge, just 15 minutes drive to Killington. Cedar Rock boasts breathtaking views, seen right from the tranquil seclusion of your own vacation home. The main level of the home as an open floor plan and features a large fieldstone fireplace in the living room with queen sofa sleeper, 42-inch flat screen satellite TV, DVD, Wi-Fi, there is also movies games and books to keep you entertained, we do provide a landline phone as cell service at the house is spotty. Full kitchen and dining area, sliders doors that lead out to the deck with gas grill. The master bedroom has a 20-inches TV with DVD player, slider doors that lead out to a private deck. The second bedroom has a queen and a single and the third bedroom has a set of built-in twin bunk beds are all the lower level. There is one full bathroom with tub/shower combo and the other with a stand-up shower and a washer and dryer available for your uses. After a long day of activates why not relax in the outdoor hot tub all while enjoying moon lite sky and the sounds of the great outdoors. There are so many recreational opportunities abound in our area! Enjoy downhill skiing in the winter, and mountain biking and the Adventure Center in the summer at Killington Resort. There is cross-country skiing, sleigh riding, ice skating, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing, or you can just relax by the roaring fireplace with a book and a glass of wine. Take a ride and enjoy the beauty of the Vermont countryside, drive past farms and rivers on your way down to the General Store for coffee and snacks. In the summer the river is the best place to be, and we have private river frontage just at the bottom of our road with hiking trails and tennis courts and a nice beach and swimming area. Try fishing, kayaking, or swimming; or you might want to visit the Stockbridge yacht club and be brought up the river and dropped off to float down on a tube with your family and friends, a great way to cool off! Make sure to look through our Welcome Tablet for many more things to do and see. Pets are considered and if approved a pet fee of $50 per pet will be applied to the reservation. *** Note about the property…This is property is at the end of the road in the mountain, located in the River Bend Community, we highly recommend all wheel/4-wheel drive during the winter month as the driveway is steep.  A lot of Vermont small towns have very spotty cell services, this may affect your GPS devices, so please make sure you print out your directions before you leave home.

  • Great spot!! Hard to access when snowing unless you have 4 wheel drive but very secluded and nice to get away. Jacoozi was great.

    Matthew2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great place as described. The jacuzzi and fireplace was great. The place was nice and warm so no fears of freezing while on your weekend ski getaway. Killington ski area is about 20 mins away

    Walter2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time, amazing place and great amenities. Very responsive and willing to help us with everything we needed.

    Douglas2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • This house is great and not to be overlooked if you are planning a trip to Killington. GetAway was a pleasure to deal with. The house is about 20-25 minutes to K-1 but the drive is beautiful. Normally we stay off the access road, but it’s a really solid option for a group and not too hard to access. We did leave in a winter storm, and saw why 4-wheel drive or good tires is important, but as long as 1 party in the group has that covered, there are ways to work around it. The hot tub was great; the fire place was great; GetAway was available and communicative and I would highly recommend.

    Christie2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for a weekend getaway. Definitely recommend it!

    Marta2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had an absolutely awesome, wonderful, much needed family getaway!!! Loved the scenery, river, parks, fishing, hiking, and little towns - it kept all ages happy from 2 to 45 (there are 7 of us and we fit easily)! We had a beautiful day swimming and kayaking on the river at the end of the road, a day fishing at Kent Pond and Colton Pond, a day of an amazing gondola ride and steep hike up Mount Mansfield, and a day visiting Glen Moss Falls, Thundering Falls, Rochester, Queechie (The Skinny Pancake for dinner!), and Woodstock. Loved the hot tub times, the fires in the beautiful fireplace, the relaxing breakfasts on the deck and burgers on the grill, surrounded by trees, and some family board games. It was a HUGE bonus for us to be able to take our dogs. That's what helped us choose this place. We have two big St. Bernards and the hosts were so friendly about it and even gave us a discount - the dogs were great, they are young and they loved the enclosed deck so much! We also could tie them out front on tie outs so they could explore, and of course, we took them along fishing and swimming and stuff. I loved being able to have them along, they are part of the family!!! It was also just so helpful for us to be able to have a house rather than a hotel, for example, or a tent on a campground. It gives us the chance to bring our own food - we have quite a b ig family and it would get expensive to eat out plus many of us have food allergies. The man who was checking things over when I GOT THERE WAS SUPER HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY AND WELCOING!!! wE COULDN'T FIND THE TENNIS COURT, BUT WE HAD SO MANY THINGS TO DO IT DIDN'T MATTER. tHE RIVER WAS LOW, BUT THAT DIDN'T MATTER EITHER - THERE IS AN UNEXPECTED DEEP PART, LIKE A SWIMMING HOLE, THAT WAS JUST RIGHT!Thans you so much for our stay!

  • INCREDIBLE VIEW! Great hospitality and Josh is quick and reliable with responses!

    Julie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Just an all around great place. The drive up the road can be daunting, but if you can make it up it is worth the trip. Josh's place has beautiful views + makes you feel right at home. Definitely recommend.

    Ryan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome house! With even better views. Josh was extremely nice, and communicated very well leading up to our stay. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

    Ben2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely wonderful VT getaway/ski spot with excellent amenities and breathtaking views -- truly can't overstate how stunning the outlook was! Location-wise, the chalet is perfect. It's about 40 minutes from Killington, which made it just close enough with a bit of an "escape" from the hustle/bustle of the main resort areas after a full day of skiing. The entire space is actually bigger than it looks in the pictures -- super roomy, yet still very cozy! The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed to cook / entertain comfortably. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were very clean and well-kept as well. We stayed comfortably with 4 guests and could have fit up to 6 people comfortably. Loved the Bluetooth speakers too - great touch. Will DEFINITELY be back!

    Mary2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Josh's place was well worth the trip. The house is warm, comfortable, and stocked with everything you need for a great stay. We really enjoyed the view out on the deck as well - it's spectacular! Such an amazing scene to wake up to.

    Eric2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Josh was an exceptional host! ...When we arrive he was busy working to plow the driveway and provided a tour of the chalet. The views are off the charts - the photos do not do it justice! ... Great value, great host, great place! Book it... before someone else does!

    Thomas2019-03-24T00:00:00Z

  • We had a wonderful experience staying at Cheryl’s place while on a ski trip at Killington. We had a dog and he had plenty of space to play out in the pastures in the back of the house. There was plenty of parking available and the apartment was very cozy and comfortable. Cheryl was very quick to respond to questions as well, and her son Nathan was there to help with anything we needed. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great overall experience!

  • This is a spacious loft apartment in a quiet location not too far from ski resorts. For heat, there's a gas stove with a visible flame that makes the space perfect for a cozy winter get away. Also, there was plenty of hot water. Cheryl is a responsive and attentive host. We would love to stay there again.

  • We really enjoyed our stay with James. Perfect for a group going skiing in the nearby Killington ski area. Would recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to book again if we’re back in the area

  • Perfect place for a ski trip with some friends!

    Hayley2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at James's Swiss Charm Chalet was magical! The mountain home is equipped with everything and more than I would have imagined. Clean as a whistle with so many amenities. Bubbling brook along the grounds, centrally located t to great ski centers...Killington, Pico, Sugarbush. Christmas eve we strolled around charming Woodstock, attended a beautiful candle light service. Christmas day we were enchanted by poetry posted along the Robert Frost Trail near Middlebury. Just taking a walk along the stream that runs along the property was enough to transport us into a whole other universe.

  • The views from the property are amazing! We were only in the home for about 9 hours-just to sleep, basically-so we didn't use the kitchen. The bed was comfy and there was plenty of room if we had more people.

    Kay2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great place just what I needed thank you so much for the syrup too! Note to others you definitely won’t make this place with snow on the road without a 4x4, and definitely spiders and bugs around what you would expect in a typical cabin. I loved it and will be back again, thank you for your hospitality.

  • Even though we ended up having to cancel, Joanne and Keith could not have been kinder or more accommodating. I truly hope to stay in their sweet retreat once the world has gone back to normal. Be well, and thank you so much for your understanding J & K!!! 💗🙏💗🙏

  • Keith and Joanne are absolutely stellar hosts. The apartment is actually more like a duplex and a home-away-from home. Keith was so helpful and kind to my kids, and we enjoyed a calm and relaxing apres-ski evening in their place. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Genevieve2020-02-09T00:00:00Z

Set on a private road in the hills of Pittsfield, our house welcomes you year-round. Right in the heart of the Northeast’s best winter-sports, convenient to Killington ski resort, VAST snowmobile trails, Mountain Meadows cross country skiing and Green Mountain National Golf course. Furthermore, there are wonderful hikes and mountain biking to be done on the property and beyond - particularly beautiful in the fall.
The house is a comfortable and spacious (2,000+ sq.ft) three-bedroom contemporary split into four levels. It’s a perfect place to relax and have fun whether you’re on your own or with a group. With the large living area, the dining room and the den on different levels, the house caters to large numbers of people yet still affords privacy. While you soak up the heat of the big fieldstone fireplace upstairs, the gang could be watching TV or playing games downstairs. The spacious deck on the back of the house features the most recent addiction - a 6 person spa/hot-tub for relaxing and soothing muscles after a day of hiking, biking, skiing, boarding, running... The deck adds summertime living space and is great for outdoor dining, with a gas grill and picnic table. There is also a balcony stretching across the front of the house that offers picturesque views of the forest and valley to the sound of the nearby brook. The kitchen is big enough for family eat-in, and the dining room seats 10-12 comfortably. The two upper levels are especially bright and airy with high cathedral ceilings and numerous skylights. The two bedrooms on the lower middle level sleep 3 & 4 respectively and share a full bath. The "master" bedroom on the lower ground level sleeps 5 and has its own bathroom. In addition to the beds in the bedrooms, there is a sofa-sleeper (double) in the den and another sofa-sleeper (single) the living area. When all the beds are full to capacity, the house can take a maximum of 15 people.
Though the ski areas and golf courses are probably the main attractions, there are a number of activities available right from the doorstep. Picturesque hiking/snowshoeing trails lead straight from the house into the Green Mountain National Forest. There are other trails nearby (no need to drive) that are suitable for cross country skiing or mountain biking. And if you’re into something even more vigorous, the Vermont snowmobile trail network (VAST) is accessible from less than a half mile away. The Killington resort lifts are open during the off-season for thrilling mountain biking. The historic Appalachian Trail network as well as the Long Trail are also accessible from within a few miles away. In autumn, the area is a "leaf-peeper's" paradise (1st few weeks of October are best). In addition to the above, there are facilities for tennis, racquetball, bungee jumping (yikes!), alpine slide, swimming holes, fishing streams (be sure to buy a license), kayak, tubing, music, theater, shopping, and any number of other activities nearby. The town of Pittsfield has a gas station, cash machine and a quaint country store. It is suggested however to do big groceries in Rutland before coming up the mountain.
  • Great place and fun style. My family and friends and I really liked relaxing in the hot tub after skiing and hanging out by the fire in the living room. We were comfortable in the bunk rooms and would come back!

Killington mountain was only 20 minutes away, the perfect distance! We even went tubing so much fun! Highly recommend this house! David the host responded quickly to every question I had.

  • We enjoyed a short stay at the Clear River Inn. It was nice to have access to skiing but not be on mountain while it was school vacation week. We loved the little local tavern behind for an easy dinner after the slopes, but our favorite part was the wonderful breakfast included. It is a short drive up the road, in partnership with another local inn and they serve local favorites like blue berry pancakes with Vermont maple syrup!

Large house suitable for 2-3 families close to Killington (10min to town and 15min to lifts!). The house is conveniently located for skiing, mountain biking, the annual Spartan races (organized next door at Riverside Farms) or hiking the Thundering Brook Falls.
The house is very large and has capacity for 16 people. The great room flows in an open floor plan to the kitchen. The dining room has 8 seats and you can likely fit 10-12 if needed. • The place was great, very lovely and peaceful, just before booking request the house rules and read through all of them. House rules on trash bags limit wasn't disclosed early enough. We were there for 7 days and had a bag limit of 2, additional bags were $10. We had a group of 10+ adults and children. The host allowed us to increase the bags to 6 but we still had to carry out some recycling back in our cars to be disposed of properly.

    Moises2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a lovely place to get away and relax. Beautiful property, relatively private, with everything you might need. And it's not even too far from Boston! With 14 people there, the place was large enough to house everyone very comfortably. We went to Warren Falls which was rather busy with other tourists but absolutely gorgeous. Definitely will take note for the fall.

  • Erik and Eli are great hosts! It took us extra time to get there because of weather and having to work full days before we left, but Erik and Eli stayed up and waited for us to arrive. They even made us banana bread with walnuts and chocolate chips which was still warm when we got there! They were kind and provided great tips for local places to go and things to see. We would definitely stay here again!

  • Erik and Eli's home was a great place to stay close to Killington. The bed was very comfortable, the space felt private, and there were nice amenities like a coffee maker and mini fridge. I would stay again if I return to the area!

  • Such a great value! Only 10 minutes from Pico, it feels like an apartment all to yourself with a bedroom, bonus room and a private bathroom! Super clean and great hosts!

  • Great suite that is so conveniently located next to Killington.

    Carrie Ann2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Erik was very nice and gave great food tips. They where very quiet and felt like we had the house to our selves. No complaints but some people may be uncomfortable due to not having a door separating the entrance to the upstairs to the main floor other then a trifold partition. There are doors for the bathroom and bedroom though so you still do have your privacy, although I personality was fine with this I just thought I’d put it here for a FYI. I would stay here again :).

    Christopher2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Erik & Eli are the consummate hosts. Their space is lovely! They have coffee set up for your enjoyment. Plenty of space for belongs. Super comfy bed. They are quick to respond, have great tips for local restaurants, and are very thoughtful & personable. Highly recommend a stay here!

Experience a getaway in an 1890's hand hewn post and beam barn, renovated for your comfort. Ride out your back door to Green Mountain Trails, one of New England's best mountain biking networks. After a day of adventure, sit back and enjoy the views of the valley on the deck and cook a meal for friends in the fully stocked kitchen with soaring post and beam ceilings. Comfortable bedding and ample space will ensure everyone finds a place to rest and recover for the next days outing.
The Barn is a unique space that sits on 34 acres of the Tweed River Valley in Stockbridge Vermont. Walk in past the leaning grain silo, to the entry area where you can store your boots and outdoor gear. Walk up stairs to the living space and take in the 30 ft cathedral ceilings with hand-hewn beams and wide plank ceilings. The three wood stoves and sauna will keep you warm when the temperature dips. Bring your mountain bikes and ride along the Tweed River on the VAST trail to connect to the Green Mountain Trails, one of the best mountain bike destinations in the North East. Or jump on your road bike and ride the along on scenic highway Rt 100. Enjoy a swim in the Tweed River in the swimming hole on the rivers bend. Cast your line into the clear rushing mountain water and catch the plentiful supply of wild and stocked trout (rainbow, brook and brown). Enjoy a glass of wine or local IPA on the deck overlooking the valley after a day on the river or on the trail. For downhill thrill seekers, Killington Mountain (14 miles) and Sugarbush Resorts (30 miles) are in close driving distance. A central chimney towers over the living room, kitchen and dining room. The main floor has a large full bathroom with a wood fired sauna, a den, living room, dining area, kitchen, and deck offering views of South Hill and the river valley. The living room has a two large couchs and a love seat for extra seating. The main floor also has a den off of the laundry that has a daybed (two twins beds) and a two twin beds. The second floor has a full bathroom and two bedrooms with queen beds. The loft bedroom on the third floor has a double bed. The sheets, pillows, quilts, and down comforters provide a comfortable place to rest while the hand hewn rafters provide a rustic and country atmosphere. The open atmosphere of the house makes it a fun space for families and groups to enjoy. Please DO NOT climb the hay ladders as they are meant for architectural details only. The kitchen is stocked with utensils, glass ware, plates, mugs, pots and pans. There is a gas grill available for guests use. Please make sure to turn off the gas at the tank when you are finished cooking. There is an oil fueled forced hot air furnace that is controlled by a digital thermostat. Cord wood is provided for auxilary heat. Please DO NOT use the wood stove if you do not have experience operating them. They are not fire places and can be damaged if used improperly. Two french doors open up on the main floor out to a deck that over looks the property and the Tweed River Valley. The property has plenty of outdoor space for guests activities and lawn games. Exit the front door, walk across the driveway and walk down the grass path to the river front. The Tweed River is a tributary of the White River that flows into the Connecticut River. Its flows can be highly variable depending on the local weather. The river side is a great place to hang out and relax with a book or a tube. Be aware that severe rain storms can cause the water levels to rise quickly. Do not leave valuables (chairs, umbrellas, tubes, coolers etc) by the river overnight as they may be swept away if there is significant rain up stream.
The area is called the Heart of the Green Mountains. There's activities for all in the surrounding mountains no matter what the season. Spring offers great local fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. The Tweed River and the White River (1 mile downstream) are known for their trout fishing. The rivers are stocked with rainbow, brook and brown trout a few miles down stream. There is a strong population of wild trout as well. Be sure to check in at the local gas station to get your fishing license. Bass and perch are also caught on these rivers. When the trails dry out, the mountain biking trails offered at Green Mountain Trails are some of the best in New England. The house is situated well for road bikers to ride Vermont's scenic Route 100 and complete loops including: Rochester Gap, Brandon Gap, and Middlebury Gap. For those looking for a more relaxing getaway. Vermont River Tubing offers river tube rentals with drop off and pick up for float times that fit your schedule. For the thrill seekers, Killington Mountain and Sugarbush Resrort offer downhill mountain biking, hiking, gondola rides, and a rock climbing. Winter time activities include Killington, Pico, Mad River and Sugarbush Ski resorts, extensive networks of backcountry and cross country ski trails, multiple cross country ski centers, snowmobile trips and the VAST trail snowmobile network. Vermont offers a robust and proud selection of locally crafted beers. The largest microbrewery in Central Vermont, Long Trail Brewery, is 25 minutes from the property. With a great selection of pub fare, fresh beers on tap, and a self guided tour, it makes for a must see stop on your trip. The local General Store also has a great selection of locally brewed beers. Bring your growlers to get whatever fresh brews the General Store has on tap. The selection rotates but often has award winning Vermont beers on tap from breweries like Rock Art and Lost Nation, Foley Brothers Brewing, Harpoon Brewery, Fiddle Head Brewery and many more! Ask your host about setting up a Brewery Tour of a few local breweries and cideries!
  • I stayed at the renovated barn with a bunch of friends for a wedding nearby and it was awesome! The tweed river is gorgeous and there’s a nice trail along it you can talk a walk on. The barn was extremely clean and was very spacious and a really cool place to stay. Far exceeded my expectations and I couldn’t have had a better time. The general store down the road has a nice breakfast, awesome locals, went to Wild Fern Cafe a minute down the road for dinner which was great and I’m in love with the area. I will definitely be back. If you have a dog they will love the property and all the trails nearby. Again the barn was fantastic, very comfortable, in a great location and beautiful property. Perfect place to stay

    Peter2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Tyson’s place was truly spectacular! The location was so beautiful! There were plenty of towels, blankets, and other essentials. There was coffee and creamer there for us to use over the weekend, which we were extremely grateful for! We would definitely stay there again and recommend to anyone who needs a place with lots of beds and space, or just for a small getaway!

    Shelly2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • My sister-in-law and I had an amazing time with our six teenagers. The house was perfect for us. The interior of the barn was amazing and so much room for everyone! The natural beauty of the barn created a warm environment without being fussy. The real gem is the property though! Seeing a deer in the field on our last day was definitely one of my highlights. The river behind was cool, refreshing and private. I see how this would be a perfect ski retreat in the winter, but July was just perfect. Vermont River Tubing is steps away and is worth a trip. We loved all the information on local attractions and also enjoyed a day trip to Woodstock, VT, a stop at Long Trail Brewing, SugarBush Farms, and an amazing dinner (and drinks) in Rutland at the Vermont Tap House. Tyson was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. He let us know that we had left behind my daughter's GoPro (kids!) and promptly shipped it to us. Thank you for a fantastic first Airbnb experience, we totally want to come back next year!

  • The barn was awesome. It’s a perfect place to stay for a large group. The location was great, the space was really cool and it definitely exceeded our expectations. Thanks again!

  • Great gathering place for our little group of friends! The barn was cozy and comfortable, with lots of room to spread out and relax. The large kitchen was the perfect spot to cook and visit together, and the river just outside was a beautiful area for a walk. Close enough to lots of fun things to do, and remote enough to allow you to fully unwind. We would gladly visit the barn again!

    Lindsey2018-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lots of space. Cool renovated barn. Great location and beautiful view.

    Robin2018-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Woke up to views of Shangri La every morning while staying at a rustic/adorable barn

    Gary2018-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing space! The barn is beautiful and such a unique idea for an air bnb. The location was good, however minimal street lighting did make it difficult to find the driveway. Additionally there were quite a few wasps around the barn, mainly in loft. Other than the lighting and the wasps, the barn was clean, had great amenities and had ample space for our group of 6. We loved it and we will be back. Would definitely recommend this space!

Off-grid, timber-framed land treehouse, perched above the creek in the woods, on a flower farm in the most beautiful place in the world. The frame was originally built as a treehouse on a friend's property in New York. We deconstructed and relocated it to Stitchdown in the spring of 2018, where it is not in a tree, but perched on an embankment above the stream, so it feels like you're in a treehouse. It's 100% awesome.
Stitchdown is a diversified flower farm and floristry where we grow and arrange flowers for market & events, and raise vegetables, pigs, maple syrup and cider for ourselves. The treehouse has a queen bed, observation porch, fire pit for revelry and/or cooking, and outhouse with composting toilet. The rental comes with a firewood bundle, which includes cord wood, shavings, kindling, paper, lighter, tongs and a cast iron pan, and the fire pit has a grill grate.
We live in, objectively, the most beautiful place in the world. In the foothills of the Green Mountains, we have a view of the mountains with rolling hills and flower fields below. We are located centrally to many points of interest - we are a ~40 minute drive from Woodstock, Killington, Hanover, WRJ, Montpelier, and Middlebury. All your immediate needs can be covered in a 10 minute drive between Bethel and Randolph.
  • A beautiful place to unplug. Real cozy! 11/10 would recommend for some serene relaxation.

  • It started raining in the night and the sound on the tin roof was divine. This is a truly a special farm/people/space. Thank you.

  • Our weekend in the treehouse was lovely. It is exactly what we were looking for: simple, outdoorsy, and magical. The treehouse is hidden in the trees on the outskirts of a beautiful farm. A great place to unwind and unplug. Looking forward to visiting again in the future!

    Krista2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing! So remote, quiet, and peaceful. The treehouse was simple and perfect. I also loved walking the paths throughout the farm. Hopefully will stay here again in the future!

  • The Land Treehouse is set in a magical spot and the flowers were in full glory when we arrived. If you want to get away even for one night, this is a great option. Access to the house is up a ladder, not a high one but enough of one to make midnight visits to the privy an adventure.

  • Mike’s cottage in Vermont is the perfect way to remove yourself from the hustle and bustle. His place is located near numerous hiking trails and Killington for skiing. Also, observing the stars while soaking in the hot tub was a treat!

  • Great location next to Killington, perfect spot for family and/or friends for a week of skiing

    Jason2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Had a fun time here, it’s a great place to spend some time with friends and family. It’s nice to use the hot tub after skiing for the day. I would only suggest to remove or replace the security camera in the backyard to not face the hot tub. We felt a bit awkward because of that. But everything else was awesome.

    Milad2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for skiing in Killington. After slope soak in the hottub and warm.up at open fireplace.

  • Mike’s amazing place is perfectly located, and endowed with every amenity possible. The attention to detail and great hospitality will remain in our memories for ever. We had a blast during our weekend stay at his place.

    Abhishek2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Mike’s place is in a great location! Close enough to get to all major attractions with a reasonable drive, yet removed enough to be private and relaxing. The hot tub and wood stove were glorious after a hike in the snow. The cabin is very spacious and all the furniture was in good shape and comfortable. Being dog friendly was the icing on the cake! We would definitely stay here again!

    Brandi2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place in a beautiful location. A perfect New England get-a-way !

    Dave2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great spacious cabin close to Killington. For us it was much nicer than staying in a typical ski condo. Much more quiet and secluded. The cabin has everything you need for an extended stay including a well maintained hot tub. The kitchen has all the basics for cooking with a coffee maker and plenty of room for a large dinner. Great front deck/porch for the warmer days with a nice size yard. Also the dirt access road to the cabin is very quiet with almost no traffic, great for a long walk with the dog. I would happily return for another ski trip.

  • The place was very lovely! Jen was an amazing host. The place was better than the pictures don’t let them deceive you.

  • Our stay at Jennifer’s Home was better than we expected. The house was very cute and comfortable - even nicer than pictured. The location was also perfect - very close to Killington. We definitely plan on coming back next year!

    Michele2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer is a lovely host and this was a great value spot very close to Killington. I would absolutely recommend her home for a weekend. The house is clean, warm and full of thoughtful touches for guests. We will definitely be back for our next ski trip!

    Abby2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect house for our ski weekend at Pico. We were a group of 4 (2 couples) and had plenty of room. Jennifer reached out well in advance with written directions and turned on the heat (which worked great in -6 degree weather!) for us long before we arrived. There was coffee, English muffins, and OJ waiting for us along with lanterns she put in each room for us in case the power went out in a cold winter storm. There's also a gas powered fireplace in a sunroom with beautiful views that make for a great place to hang out and enjoy the scenery. All in all we would definitely recommend staying here. Great communication from the owner, easy check-in/check-out, and there was a good local restaurant a mile down the road with a big menu, live music, and a pool table. Plus you can make it to Killington or Pico in 15-20 mins without breaking the bank. Thanks again Jennifer!

    Jon-Erik2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer's place is ideally located for skiing and snowboarding at Killington! A perfect little home, minutes from the slopes. Ample parking, great host communication and local tips. There is nature access to explore. Beware, the cell service is spotty at best, but the house does have decent WiFi. Will definitely look to stay here again for future Ski trips! Thank you!

  • Mike's bed and breakfast is truly a memorable and heart warming experience. The house is unique, cozy, and full of sunlight. Breakfast was delicious as well and full of good conversation and company. Mike is an amazing host and so accommodating. We arrived late and woke up early in the morning to go ski but he stayed up to greet us when we arrived and made breakfast before we got up. Highly recommend staying!

  • Mike and Barb are extremely generous hosts. We began our Airbnb search for a lovely room in a lovely setting, but we never anticipated the life-giving experience that came along with our stay at the Mountain Valley Retreat. From the tasty home-cooked breakfasts (from local farms) each morning, to the late night chats and laughs, Mike and Barb always went the extra mile. We miss them already (and their dog Bailey of course)!

Good Snow tires with front wheel drive or preferably an all wheel drive vehicle is needed in the winter months. This cozy little pond-side cottage leaves little to be desired. Located 10 minutes from Pico, 20 minutes from Killington, 15 minutes from Downtown Rutland, and just around the (proverbial) corner from Sugar and Spice, it's easy access to some of the best skiing, splitboarding, mountain biking, kayaking, and ice skating around. Please no smoking on the premises.
This is a remodeled hunting cabin with some modern touches, including an open layout. Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate on the couch looking out onto the pond after a long day at the mountain, or stroll around the old logging trails in the bordering woods. The open space encompasses the kitchen, living room, and dining room. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, oven, stove, toaster oven, and microwave. Our living room has a smart TV that you can connect to your Netflix or Amazon account. We've got board games and books for a night in, as well as WiFi. We recommend downloading/using an app that allows you to make calls and send texts through WiFi before arriving because cell service is spotty. The bedrooms consist of queen size beds (and a twin size mattress if needed) with lots of natural light and two windows that open to the pond. The bathroom is large and contains a washer/dryer and a walk-in shower. Please no smoking on the premises.
The cottage is located on a quiet private road in a rural section of Rutland County, 15 minutes outside of Rutland and 25 minutes from Killington Access Road.
  • Barbara’s cottage is the exact getaway stay that you would picture when thinking about Vermont. Tucked away, yet still very close to civilization. Killington is close by as well. I highly recommend the cottage as well as her as a host. You will not be disappointed!

  • Great place even better view

    Neeta2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara's place was everything I was hoping for. It was a beautiful cottage with gorgeous views of the pond. While rustic, it was also incredibly clean. It was close to great hiking, and the town of Rutland was a short drive away. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our time immensely.

    Rebecca2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara’s cottage is very comfortable and is convenient to many places of interest. The setting on the pond is especially beautiful and peaceful, and we enjoyed using the kayaks one afternoon when the fall colors of the woods all around the pond made it a memorable experience. After a day of exploring central Vermont, it was a pleasure to return to such a perfect place and a good night’s sleep.

  • Dean's cabin was fantastic! The kitchen was filled with ample plates, silverware, and glassware as well as great, modern appliances. The location was convenient to Killington and Pico mountains. Dean responded instantly, even late at night. Would gladly stay again!

  • This is a great place to stay when skiing at Killington or Pico (just a 15 minute easy drive). The place is much better than it looks in the pictures: the kitchen is fully renovated and equiped, and the living and dining rooms are very spacious and well furnished. Having visited Killington three times during the 18-19 winter (and staying at other places) I can say that this was one of my best experiences there and, by far, the best price/quality stay I have found. I would definitely consider staying at Dean's again.

  • Great space and awesome location! Super easy to get to Killington to all the great places to eat. Overall, my group and I had a great stay.

There are great things to do in the area in all four seasons. Skiing, leaf peeping, tubing on the White River and mountain biking the amazing local trails are all within a 10 mile radius. On property there is a wonderful tavern offering a full bar, great food, and live music. There is also a coin operated laundry room located on the first floor.

  • Had a great stay at the Clear River Inn! It was only 15 minutes from Killington, which was great for our group. Plus, each morning we received vouchers to have breakfast at a nearby inn, which was delicious. Would definitely stay here again!

    Nina2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Fiona was a very gracious host! I was pleasantly surprised that the beds were more soft and comfortable than I expected. The close proximity to Killington resort is what drew me to stay here, as well as the tavern that’s on site, which was very convenient along with it’s tasty food and well priced drinks. Fiona has a lot of useful knowledge of the area, to include local breweries and nearby restaurants. She’s very prompt in addressing any questions or concerns. I highly recommend this place to stay! I’ll always choose this place whenever I visit Killington! Thank you Fiona for a very pleasant stay!

  • We really loved our room, hanging out at the tavern and the close proximity to Killington! Would definitely stay here again.

    Valerie2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • The Clear River Inn and Tavern was truly one of the best places I have ever stayed. My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of spending the weekend here amidst enjoying winter activities at Killington. First of all, the Inn itself is wonderful. It is quite obvious that new renovations were just made. Everything in the room is brand new, clean and stylish. We enjoyed that very much!! Secondly, if you like good food and great times, the tavern is literally around the corner. There is no need to travel in to Killington as all the entertainment you will ever need is within walking distance. The menu is diverse and everything that we had (a lot) exceeded our expectations. Like, come on, I got fried pickles on my burger and I highly suggest you do the same!! Lastly and most importantly the people who own and operate the Inn make hospitality their number one priority. They are quick to respond, incredibly friendly and clearly passionate about their work. We were greeted by Fiona who had a smile on her face and offered as much advice/suggestions as we wanted. Mark, the owner, clearly takes pride in the establishment that he has built by being present and helpful. They made sure our stay was perfect. I can not say enough good about this place! I know we will back!!

    Emilee2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The Clear River Inn is conveniently located a mere 10 minutes from Killington. The rooms are clean and the beds were unexpectedly comfortable. The tavern in the back is awesome! There’s a great atmosphere there and the bartenders are very knowledgeable and can sling some great drinks. Try their burgers! Another great benefit is the included breakfast at the Swiss Inn down the street. Great place at an unbeatable price!

    Terence2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved Fiona’s place. Value, location and accommodation (of my small dog) / communication were on point. Fiona was nice enough to accept our last minute request and answer my immediate questions. She provided some very helpful tips for me as I was new to the area. Went up for a quick 48 hours for NYE and Killington skiing and it’s a quick 10-15 drive to the base. The base is also surrounded with what appears to be their town area (groceries, sports shops, bars / restaurants) so location is perfect. Can’t say enough good things about the basically attached Clear River Tavern. We spent New Years Eve there so I’m biased but the nicest people, fun times and good bar food. We enjoyed it so much we went back again the following night. Definitely a plus in staying at the property. Thank you again Fiona, I look forward to coming back!

Located just 10 short miles from the nationally acclaimed Killington Mountain, you’ll find “Lucid Stream” - a secluded respite from reality, surrounded by the Green Mountains and above a soothing stream that flows year-round. Wrapped by a large, scenic deck, this 3-bedroom, 3-bath hideaway is an idyllic getaway for families, couples and friends alike. We're just down the road from the Riverside Farm wedding venue, and have direct access to the Green Mountain trails for hiking / mountain biking.
The house features a full, rustic kitchen with brand-new appliances; a sun-filled great room with a large, vaulted ceiling and views of the local foliage; three warm, cozy bedrooms; two full upstairs bathrooms and a spacious, slate-lined steam shower on the main level; a basement area with darts, foosball and other activities; and a new, 4-person lighted hot tub situated right outside the basement and overlooking the stream.
Lucid Stream sits just outside the town of Pittsfield - a tiny, quintessential slice of Americana with covered bridges, church steeples, farmlands and classic New England architecture. Enjoy full views of the Green Mountains and the gentle rush of the winding Tweed River, which cuts in and out of the surrounding towns.
  • This house was incredible!! It was seriously so much better than I was expecting and better than what you see in the pictures. One of my favorite AirBnB experiences ever. 20 min from killington. My friends and I had an amazing stay and ski weekend here. Will absolutely book again in the future.

    Sophia2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay! The house was cozy and the amenities were incredible! The hosts were hospitable and great with communication! I would stay here again, highly recommend

    Nicholas2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this house! Pictures don't do it justice. Went with a group of 6 for the weekend and it was perfect for us. It's secluded on a beautiful piece of property. The house is spacious and bedrooms are comfortable. 2 bedrooms are private, 1 bedroom has more of a loft layout and is open - looks over the living room. House had a functioning hot tub, great kitchen, a ton of games and great recommendations of things to do in the area. Check-in and communication throughout our stay were great. Only downside is the driveway and walkway were icey - I would recommend not driving all the way down the driveway and parking at the halfway point as we had trouble getting a car out - they do provide salt and sand to help with that though. Would definitely recommend staying at this property!

    Lauren2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place all around super cool layout with a great location

    Josh2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Frank’s home was beautifully kept and everything we wanted. We were a group of 5 adults and the house for us very comfortably. The amenities were well maintained and easy to use, the home was tastefully decorated, and the home instructions were easy to follow and very clear. A great place to stay for a few days of skiing at Killington or Pico!

    Cassidy2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Perfectly serene setting for this lovely home. We love the new oven and the full size gas grill. We hope to return annually to "our special " Vermont retreat! Thank you Frank for another memorable family vacation.

    Donna2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great visit. The place was as advertised! Beautiful cottage, great location. Frank was very responsive. We would definitely stay here again!

    Kumar2019-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • We really loved staying here. Great location, great amenities, and both co-hosts were very easy to reach. Don't be dissuaded by a place without cell service or internet, because it just made us realize we spend too much time on our devices as is. The hot tub and steam room are lovely, as were the darts, Foosball, and vast selection of movies available. Would definitely stay here again if given the opportunity.

  • Had a lovely stay at Silver Spring Chalet! The house was charming, comfortable and so cozy; perfect for a group of 11 and a dog. We were super close from Killington mountain, just a 20 min drive. Would definitely come back here! Had the best time.

  • This home is absolutely perfect! It was conveniently located just a little ways from the main town of Killington and the mountain and the property was amazing. The views were beautiful, and the space was so cozy to relax before / after a day on the slopes. We could not have asked for a better place to stay!

    Steven2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, especially you are planning a ski trip to killington.

    Thomas2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great space for large groups! The pond and its wonky dock is the perfect swimming hole for the summer. The home is clean and bathrooms were spotless. Kitchen is practical with basic amenities but could be better equipped with higher quality pots, pans, knives and utensils. The property is a 30-45 minute drive to the closest grocery store and town that should have everything you would need. Interior is finished well but the home could use better outdoor seating to accommodate all the guests that the home can accommodate.

    Sheldon2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Well worth the stay! Spacious and more than enough room for the weekend

    Danny2019-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at this place for 2 nights and were very happy with everything. The kitchen was well equipped and had more than enough kitchenware for a group of 10. The bathrooms were clean and there was enough hot water that everybody could shower after a long day of skiing. The bedrooms were tidy and each had its own heating control which was very much appreciated. The livining space was very cozy and inviting to spend many hours in the evening in front of the warm fireplace.

This place is close to multiple local restaurants and dining, cafe, bookstore/bakery. You’ll love this space because of the coziness, the high ceilings, the location, and the views. This house is good for couples and solo adventurers. Very close to Green Mountain hiking trails, White River rafting and canoeing, road and mountain biking trails. There is a front porch for those of you who need to just chill, or pull out one of the lawn chairs and sit under the cherry tree.
A comfortable, quiet house on a dead end street. It is a combination living room/bedroom space furnished with contemporary art, wifi, flatscreen & a super convertible sofa/bed. There is separate large kitchen fully equipped to make that wonderful 'get away' dinner. Full bath, separate entrance. A ground floor space- it is filled with sunshine. There is a shaded yard to hang out in, a front porch just for you, a small brook across the road that you can hear once the town quiets down. There are plenty of things to do locally or need some suggestions? Just ask. Two night minimum stay.
Quiet residential neighborhood- plenty of air space. The neighbors are somewhat of a distance away, located on a dead end road. I have a great relationship with my neighbors and want to keep it that way. Be nice, be kind- it will be reciprocated.
  • Super cozy studio right in the heart of Rochester! We came here for a ski getaway and the location was close to Killington. Erik could not have been more accommodating - super responsive and check-in was a breeze!
