Kelleigh’s place was really beautiful. It was very homey and decorated adorably. We only spent a few hours due to a family emergency that had us running late, but we got good rest and the scenery was gorgeous.

From the moment we drove onto the property we could tell we were going to love our stay!! The scenery was amazing and so relaxing! When we opened the door we were meet with a fresh, clean scent that invited us to enter the space. The decor is beautifully done down to the last detail. The “bar” area had a basket filled with a collection of goodies for our stay. The thermostat was easy to adjust to our comfort. The space features a large television perfect to lie in bed and relax as you enjoy your favorite shows in the evening. (The TV was a little difficult to figure out, I think mostly due to a weak WiFi signal, which was a little bit of an issue for us) However, we weren’t there for the WiFi. The suite was sparkling clean. We considered this an absolute gem of a find and will highly recommend it should we have friends ever visit the area!

This was my first Airbnb experience. Karen was such a thoughtful host and the apartment we stayed in was so quaint and comfortable. She left delicious desserts before we arrived and gave us recommendations to some amazing local businesses. She also gave us a tour of downtown and what all mount airy has to offer. My husband and I were able to enjoy our vacation thanks to Karen.

Back a second time, for good reason. Took my two sons (4&2) on a busy trip and it was perfect.

Staying at Tanners place has worked out perfectly for me! I have a Bulldog and she loves the nature and animals, deer squirrels and rabbits! Tanner has been great to get to know and work with. The cabin just feels like home and the cooler weather and lack of traffic and friendly people are all great. I would recommend for anyone who wants to unwind and decompress.

Tanner's cabin is the perfect place to unwind! There is limited cell service which was great. The creek was absolutely gorgeous and we took full advantage of the fire pit and firewood provided. We would absolutely come back and would love to experience it in different seasons! Even though it is secluded and peaceful, it was still only 10-15 minutes from town so we were able to grab groceries and some things we forgot.

This place is so beautiful and relaxing.

Tanner is hospitable and very thoughtful about his guests. It's really worth the effort if you want to test off the grid security. Make sure to have a great car that can handle some of the off-road security necessary to prevent damage to you or your vehicle. Recommend the property.

Very great place! Went for a hiking trip. About 5 minutes from pilot mountain, 20 minutes to hanging rock and 30 minutes to Winston-Salem. Everything as described on the listing. Area right off the main road, which made for a very convenient location. Very safe, quiet area. Phenomenal host! Great communication. Even provided us with snacks!

Kaye was super sweet! I needed to add an extra day to my original plan and she was very accommodating. She offered many things like different kinds of coffee, coco, and tea. Very beautiful location, and you can hear the gentle water from the Mitchell River. Very relaxing and plenty of firewood around. I played my guitar, read books, and drink coffee all day!

This place is so peaceful and reinvigorating. The perfect spot for an affordable writer’s retreat in nature. I spent a month here and succeeded in writing a novel! The cabin is comfortable and you can easily use small kitchen appliances like a tea kettle or crock pot with the help of the generator. The property is beautiful. The river flows right next to the cabin. You’ll see many different species of wildlife and their tracks. I saw deer, owls, and a hawk. The town of Elkin is nearby with everything you could possibly need, including a Walmart and many dining options. I highly recommend this space for anyone needing to relax, unwind, or write a book!

This is a great spot to spend a night when passing through, very peaceful, and the pup loved being able run around.

Perfect place to spent some time in nature but still have the comfort of a roof and a closed door. Even though I arrived in the dark I had no trouble finding the cabin following Tanner's instructions. The sound of the river right next to the cabin made for a great night's sleep, our Airedale also enjoyed getting to spent some time outside!

Cool spot if you’re just looking for a bed to crash on!

Tanner's place is exactly as listed. The futon is surprisingly comfy. With the crisp night air and candles we never used the generated or air unit, but I'm sure on hot days it is amazing to have. We loved sleeping with the windows open and waking up to the sound of the creek and birds chirping. Cannot wait to return in a few weeks!

My Family and I were traveling back from Florida to Pennsylvania and needed a overnight stay. I booked the Farmhouse just hours before our stay and arrived late in the evening. Patricia was able to accommodate our late check in had the place immaculately clean. Beautiful remodel. Will definitely like to come back and enjoy the Wine as we were just there for a quick overnight stay.

This cabin is a dream. The woodwork is so beautiful. This was a last minute booking and Patricia took care of every need. Quite, clean and right next to their winery 🍷. I will be coming back when it gets warmer to take advantage of the porches with the view of the vineyard. Bring your vinyl records with you to enjoy on the record player. You will love it 💕

The Olde Farmhouse is really a great place to stay in Elkin. It has everything you need and great views of the Vineyard. We stayed here with another couple visiting different wineries. Perfect location to fo so. It is so beautiful inside and has everything except for you.

We had an excellent stay. It's a very sparsely decorated older home, which I liked as we live in a similar early 1900s house (hardwood floors, old coal fireplaces). We spent most of our time at a basketball tournament, but the location was perfect for resting between games, and we slept great. It was exactly as described.

Our stay over the weekend was great! We love the area and the small town feel you get. The people in town and restaurants were very friendly. Mary does a great job at being a wonderful host. She is very responsive to communications. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

Mary's cottage was in the perfect location to go to pilot mountain and hanging rock state park. It was in a quiet area and clean! Had everything we needed for the weekend and Mary was super hospitable and friendly. She responded quick and was available for any help we needed. Would definitely stay again!

This place is picture perfect. Really exceeded our expectations. Cozy, clean and super comfortable. The master bedroom was so lovely. Bed and sheets were very luxurious. Watching the snow flurries over the vineyard was truly hallmark worthy. Fully stocked kitchen. Great getaway for much needed relaxation. All the wines were superb too! Would absolutely return!

This cabin was absolutely perfect. The location, views, and cabin were so beautiful. I can't wait to come back here for more than just a night. We ate at the Depot Restaurant located near the cabin and it was amazing. Although the weather was crappy, we made the most of our girl's weekend. It was the perfect getaway.

This AirBnB was wonderful! It was very clean, quiet, and cozy. We had a great stay. Our hosts were very responsive and answered all of our questions. The check-in process was a breeze and can be done independently so if your schedule changes you don't have to worry about trying to coordinate to meet up with the hosts. The memory foam bed was probably one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. The house is old and has creaks but that gives it so much character! It is very tastefully decorated and you have all the amenities you could want as they provided a mini fridge, Keurig, and some breakfast foods! Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely amazing and so welcoming. Very relaxed atmosphere and smelt so amazing when you walk in. Have the whole upstairs and it was quiet. I will be back.

The best part of this space is the relaxing smell of essential oils. Not to downplay the cleanliness, quick response, stylish decor, etc. I would rate this a must stay if in the area! The only possible negative is if you want a food prep area but there is a fridge and coffeemaker for use. I also wasn’t present during classes downstairs so that may be a little less relaxing depending on schedule but a great find I’ll most likely stay again!

You can expect a charming 2 bed 1 bath house convenient location to historical downtown Mt Airy. Also the house is clean and in a quiet area, they have decorated in a simple charming way that is not overwhelming but very welcoming and u feel comfortable immediately. I would recommend staying at this cottage if u plan on a visit to Mt Airy

Darryl and Durenda's Wilson Cottage on Korner st. was the perfect place for our weekend getaway. It was close to downtown, it was cute, clean and helped take us back in time and slow down from our hectic lives. They were also great hosts. They checked in and made sure we had everything we needed. They even had coffee in the cupboard, how nice.

This was our second stay with Darryl and Durenda. We stayed at their other place last time. We love Mount Airy and both of their places are convenient to town. I like the fact that we had this place all to ourselves.

The Greenhouse is a fantastic place to get away. Secluded, and yet easy access to Mt. Airy and many local attractions. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and walking down to the river to skip rocks. Melissa was very responsive and helpful, and the accommodations were outstanding. We hope to return again!

Exceeding our expectations! We took our two pups up with us as well. I would highly recommend this bnb if you have pups. They enjoyed all the trails and open land freedom they don’t get in the city. For all the over-packers like me, this house is fully stocked. Anything you could think of from coffee filters to a wine opener- they have it all. It snowed while we were there, so the sauna was magical. Don’t think twice-just book it already :)

The Greenhouse is beautifully located, nestled deep in the woods and surrounded by trees. The property is enormous and the home itself is updated, clean and very fancy! Our dogs loved it there and it had the perfect amount of creepy vibe at night. The hosts are promptly communicative and very accommodating, and we loved staying here! We'd gladly come back and explore more of the property during the summer months! Highly recommended.

This was my second stay at Michael and Michelle’s place. The location is fantastic but that was not the main reason for my repeat stay. The biggest reason is that they do a great job with the little things. There are fresh baked cookies on arrival, nice dishes and cookware in the kitchen, all the amenities of a hotel in the bathroom, and wifi. Plus they include information about things to do in the area and check in with you to make sure all is okay and see if anything is needed. The space is exceptionally clean and comfortable.

This is a wonderful cottage! Spacious, clean, peaceful and close to everything. You have all the items you need to prepare anything you want to cook. A Full size refrigerator, full size stove and dishes, pots, glasses and silverware. The bed is great... very comfortable. The bathroom is nice and not cramped. Michael and Michelle are the greatest hosts you can have. We will Definitely be back!!

Catherine’s place is great! Place is clean. Exactly as described and better. It has Mountain View’s. The bison are huge and well worth going to see. Plenty of room for 6 people. Good layout. Not close to fast food. Kitchen is fully stocked to be able to cook. Close to Mt. Airy for restaurants and entertainment. A great place for a family getaway. Highly recommend!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Magnolia Retreat. The home was immaculate with darling touches like fresh flowers and morning coffee. The location could not be any better...just a short walk to the Reeves Theater and restaurants. Denise was lovely and incredibly helpful and accommodating.

Angry Troll brewing, Reeves Theatre, and Southern on Main are a 5-10 min walk. For breakfast check out Nana’s. It isnt fancy, but its cheap and good.

My Daughter and myself reserved a night here because it was walking distance to go to a show at Reeves Theater. When we arrived it was raining. Upon checking us in Denise offered a ride to the show and iher number to call for a ride home if needed. She even accepted an invitation to join us for dinner & was an absolute joy with interesting conversation & genuine kindness. After the show we wandered Main Street’s establishments & since the rain had subsided enjoyed a nice walk back to the room. Nice clean room, comfy bed, coffee in the morning. We look forward to another night in Elkin thanks to Denise’s excellent location & welcoming hospitality!

His messages were clear and responded immediately for the few questions I did have. Chris had all kinds of pamphlets and brochures laid out in the room for us when we arrived. Nice quite and clean. Breakfast offered but we decided to take a slower approach to our day and slept in instead. Chris is very attentive to our needs and made a good suggestion about a BBQ restaurant "13 Bones" where we enjoyed dinner.

Chris’s place is within easy walking distance to all Main St Mt Airy has to offer. The room is beautiful with an awesome jacuzzi tub perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing and wine tasting . Chris even prepared us an amazing breakfast in the morning .

This is exactly what we wanted - a cabin secluded in the woods with a fireplace and comfy bed to cuddle in. We were so cozy, and enjoyed the hot tub and trails! It was the perfect place to spend a few days after getting married.

A wonderfully quiet location, and close to the local towns and vineyards. Carrie is fantastic and carries great conversations if time permits. Will visit again quite soon.

We had a great experience staying on Elkin Creek Vineyard! The property is stunning and Carrie was extremely hospitable and kind. We really enjoyed being able to “unplug” and spend time in the middle of nature. So relaxing and much needed!! The cabin was perfect!!

If you are an Andy Griffith fan, this place is perfect for you! My husband grew up loving the Andy Griffith show and loved all the memorabilia and references to the show. The place is very clean and I appreciated that there were snacks and bottles of water in the refrigerator. We had everything we needed and loved our stay there. The host was great at communicating and left some lights on since we arrived so late. We only stayed one night, and my husband commented that he wished we could have stayed longer. We will definitely be back.

This is our fourth stay at "The Castle" and we're never disappointed. Wonderful place, great hosts and many of the things we love are near by (hiking, food (Kitchen Roselli's Italian in East Bend, etc.). We'll be back when we are hankering for another quiet getaway!

This setting is awesome! Yes, The house and grounds feel a bit in the boonies when you’re driving there, but The guest bedroom is large and comfortable, and the bath spacious. I especially loved the artsy/ historic/country eclectic combination in the decor. Also loved spending time in the tower, which was a great place to relax -even in December! Suzanne is very accommodating and we enjoyed our visit

My girlfriend and I planned booked Suzanne's castle last minute for a spontaneous anniversary trip. Even though we spent the whole time either out hiking or sleeping for 14 hours, the bed was so comfortable and Suzanne was sweet in the moment we were rogether! Super clean and cozy and super private! We will be back!

Our stay was absolutely perfect. Everything about this apartment was upscale: the bathroom, the bed, the kitchen and more! The location was perfect for walking to downtown but also a close to wineries in the Yadkin Valley. We will definitely stay here again.

This apartment was perfect for me and my husband. It is a stylish space, the bed is super comfortable, the bathroom is updated and exactly what we needed. We didn’t actually use the kitchen but it seemed well equipped. The location is excellent for visiting Old North State Winery for their Chefs Table experience as well as a good location for various wineries in the area. Check in was very easy. We plan to be in the area again and will definitely try to stay here again!

Great location downtown, easy walk to everything. Fresh and new. extremely comfortable. Coffee was there so I did not have to go out to get something. Highly recommend this unit.

Our visit was wonderful! The location was right in the middle of town! The apartment is new. The touches were amazing. We fell in love with the decor and furniture; the most comfortable beds ever. The shower and slipper tub were so nice and having a washer and dryer in the unit was the best. I cannot say enough good things. The little touches; the coffee was so nice. I highly recommend it! The personal covered patio was so nice also. We loved the blue cabinets; we are going to paint ours the same color after seeing how great they look. And the wallpaper in the bathroom was adorable! Thank you so much; we had a fantastic weekend!!!!!!

We spent a few days at the cabin with family. We were extremely pleased with the cabin itself and the close proximity to the winery. We enjoyed a lovely day in Mount Airy and at Round Peak Vineyard. The sunsets overlooking the vineyards were beautiful and breathtaking ! We highly recommend this cabin!

We stayed at this cabin for a new year's get together. The winery grounds were absolutely gorgeous, and the house is so charming. We highly recommend it.

The Round Peak cabin is a true great experience. The combination of gorgeous property, wine tasting, comfy cabin, and surrounding area made for a special family vacation. Super people as hosts and at the winery.

Loved the house, the views, and the wine! Overlooks a beautiful vineyard, short walk to the tasting room for some great wines, and convenient location for our purposes (working in Mt. Airy and Dobson). Wonderful value! The vineyard on the property also looks like it would be a great place to have a wedding our outdoor event.

This was a great place to bring the kids during our brief trip to see Old Salem Village. The views around the house were beautiful. We all enjoyed seeing the horses at the adjacent farm and sitting outside around a campfire.

Jennifer and Jerry's home is an amazing place to stay. They're very hospitable and great to talk to. The room and house were clean and comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

I found the grey room very comfortable and would return if in the area. Parking was great. It was sheltered and right next to the kitchen entrance. The house is quiet and affords a great nights sleep for a night. I notice that the area offers lots to explore if you’re interested in a longer stay.

Right away as I approached the house I saw the fabulous view overlooking the drop off into North Carolina, and I started loving this place. It got better and better as I met my host Jennifer, who is gracious and a curator in her house full of musical instruments and art objects from other countries. The house is clean and comfortable. I was given refrigerator space and Jennifer found food containers for me for my trip. Jennifer goes out of her way to make her guests comfortable and help them find local dining and areas of interest. I had a great time and found a new friend. It’s what AirBnB is all about- cultural and personal experiences while traveling.

Jennifer and Jerry's place place was a welcome Oasis for this weary traveler. Thoughtfully appointed and lots of music memorabilia, it was a perfect place to spend a night.

Karen is a terrific hostess. Her accommodations are comfortable, clean, and located in the heart of Mount airy. Karen goes out of her way to make sure every guest enjoys themselves fully. She checks in to make sure everything is OK and she has many little touches that make her Airbnb very personalized . When we arrived there was fresh baked chocolate cake and pumpkin bread waiting for us. Delicious. She is expanding into “experience” areas and I think she is going to do a fantastic job of bringing the best of Mount airy and it’s environments to her guests. We are looking forward to our next visit already

Amazing space. Exactly what we needed for just passing through but would work really well for longer stays. We plan on staying again. Very thorough with everything. There’s a binder of local activities plus a guest sign in book. Host even left crayons and paper for our toddler. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need for light cooking, just add food. Local coffee is provided and I would recommend it. Some restaurants in the area either close early or just aren’t open on Sunday so keep that in mind. (We added a note about what we found in the local binder!) And it is just a short drive to downtown Mayberry which is always a plus. We will be booking here again.

Karen's apartment was exactly what we were wanting and then some. It was affordable, clean, convenient to downtown Mt. Airy, and pet-friendly. The house is located in the historical district and about a mile from the heart of downtown Mt. Airy. Check-in was extremely easy and we were greeted with delicious homemade baked goods along with cold refreshments in the fridge, which was great after being in the car for two hours. It's a historic home, so there's little quirky things here and there but none that sacrifice comfort of your stay. The apartment is additionally extremely quiet with a very private feel. I've stayed in similar homes you almost always hear other guests walking around, shutting doors, or talking- not here. The apartment set up is perfect for a weekend getaway. The kitchen is great for making a quick breakfast with some locally roasted coffee (provided by Karen). I found the bed to be extremely comfortable and with a slight view of the mountains through the trees. There's also a quaint backyard for your dog to roam around in, which was great in the morning and evening for our pup. The living room/TV space has a daybed for a couch and an armchair, which some may or may not like. We found that we barely had time to watch tv when there are 15 wineries, 4 breweries, and the Blue Ridge Parkway in the area. Now for "and then some". Karen is the cherry on top to our wonderful Mt. Airy stay. She is such an amazing host and someone that feels like you've known a lifetime. She is great at communicating pre-arrival with restaurant and activity recommendations. She helped me pick out a restaurant for my boyfriend and I's Valentine's Day (Old North State Winery - yum!). We then ran into her at Mayberry Distillery and had a blast with her and other houseguests on the distillery tour given by the owner Van himself (highly recommended). Karen then offered to take us to her favorite vintage clothing store in town, The Groovy Goose. We explored the store and even got to take a sneak peek at items not yet on the showroom floor. Thanks, Karen for the memorable time, and we'll definitely be back!

The house was very clean and close to town. We enjoyed our stay here. My only complaint was the beds were a lot firmer than I like them it didn't effect my rating as everything else was great.

Great place!! 2 bathrooms, 2 queen beds, a futon, and a sectional. You have to turn the heat on when you get there! I suggest swinging by & turning it on and then hitting the town for a bit while it warms up :)

The cottage is filled with light, pine, and all the amenities that you need. The tour of the winery and the wine making process was interesting.
