  • This place was so much more than we expected. The view was amazing, the walks around the property amongst the sheep, cows and weka was a highlight of our trip. The beds are comfortable and the cabin has everything you need. Wendy was very quick to respond and check in was very easy. As others said, it’s a good idea to grab food and drink before heading up the hill.

  • This was the perfect location to explore Abel Tasman. The drive up the hill and down the road into the property is stunning. The most picturesque location! Great to star gaze from. Make sure to visit the view point up the road and the caves

    Katherine2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a restful two days at this beautiful farm stay. The quiet is only enhanced by the delightful sheep and cows. The views are spectacular. Be sure to pick up any provisions you need before starting the drive up twisty Takaka Hill as it is not a quick dash to the store.

    Amy2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • The place and views are just amazing! We felt very comfortable and safe there and there was everything we needed! We would love to stay there again! Thank you, Wendy!

  • Lovely cottage with amazing view of the sea and surrounded by pasture. Everything we needed was present. Good wifi. Good communication.

  • Great place up in the hills with spectacular views, friendly sheep and curious weka! After a steep drive up Takaka hill, Pipit cottage rewards guests with breathtaking views down the valley from the large private garden. The cottage itself has everything you'd need for your stay and we made use of the washing machine and BBQ during our stay. Great location allowing us to get down into the Abel Tasman National park for some sea kayaking which I'd really recommend too.

    Jonathan2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • The views of the cottage are so amazing, beautiful, stunning, fantastic .. lost for words! The v- shapes in the landscape are simply fantastic. Having dinner or breakfast at the picknick table with the view of the ocean are unbeatable. Wendy is a great host and our kids had a special love for the Waku bird.

It is SO close to the national park. 5 minute drive. Annemarie went above and beyond to make our stay special. The view from the patio is so incredibly beautiful. Just stay here! :)

  • Annemarie’s place reminded us of a Nordic cabin - it had a lovely smell of pine with a beautiful view from the mountains to the coast. It’s perfectly situated, just a 5 minute drive to the village where the entrance to Abel Tasman national park is. Annemarie is really lovely - very welcoming and gave us some useful tips and maps for our day trip to Abel Tasman. The room had everything we needed - table and chairs, a fridge, plates, cutlery, microwave, etc. There’s even a washing machine & powder you can use for $2.

  • Annemarie's location is perfect for exploring Abel Tasman National Park. It's only a five minute drive to Marahau and the start of the Coast Track as well as the water taxi locations. The rental unit itself was sparkling clean, spacious, and comfortable. The views from the unit are of the countryside and are lovely. Annemarie provided me with valuable information about water taxis prior to my arrival, which helped me secure a water taxi ride in advance of my stay. Annemarie met me in person upon arrival and was great with communication. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

  • Annemarie was a superb host. The chalet was immaculate and well appointed just 3 mins by car to Abel Tasman park and boat taxis. The surrounding gardens were a delight and the property has a beautiful view. RECOMMENDED.

    Joy2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Annemarie was the perfect host, and her property is super relaxing, quiet, and beautiful. Our two year old loved walking through the fruit trees and meeting the goat Lucy. The house is very cute, with nice areas to sit inside and outside. Annemarie made us feel at home, and very welcome, and it was a little haven after our days adventures in Abel Tasman. Her place is so close to Marahau, which was easy access for us to get the water taxi's into Abel Tasman. I highly recommend her place to stay, we will be back for sure :-)

  • Kate's cottage is an ideal place for staying near the towns and Abel Tasman National Park but with the views and relaxation of being in the countryside. It is a charming cottage and we appreciated the 2 bedrooms, the living space, and the amenities (fully stocked kitchen, bbq, washing machine) and our kids enjoyed watching the chickens, llamas, and horses as well as playing with the dogs. We'd recommend Kate's place for a family for sure!

  • This place is GOD willing going to be our regular stay. It is quaint, simple and an absolutely beautiful place to stay. No noise except the sound of the river and bird song. The cottage is simply put together, but has everything you need for a fantastic stay. Kate was inviting, easy to talk to but in no way did she impede on our special little holiday. Such a wonderful place....and the wee ones loved the farm animals!

The living room is large with ample seating and the views and quiet setting are relaxing. A bit of a narrow gravel road to get there but we would definitely stay again!

Accessed off highway 60 the metalled drive winds 1 km up through forest before emerging where Bron Haul chalet is situated at 360 metres elevation on a sheltered ridge. Peaceful and secluded in a beautiful rural landscape with sea views over Marahau beach to Adele island and d'Urville island 90 km beyond. Watch the stars, or the sunrise from your deck. It is a great area for walking, bird-watching, kayaking, sailing, fishing, cafes, vineyards
The only bedroom, which is upstairs, has a Queen bed,(our nightly fee is for this bed only) a sitting area and lovely views. This spacious room has the flexibility to sleep additional family members (max 2) if required. The lower level open plan includes the kitchen/ dining/ lounge room. The toilet is separate to the shower room and conveniently located. The lower level is accessed from a large north facing deck.
Golden Bay & Farewell Spit are a memorable daytrip away. Include Wharariki beach to watch the seals frolic and Te Waikoropupu Springs to see the purest water in NZ. Have a guided tour of Ngarua caves a short distance uphill (11km) or walk to Harwood's Hole the deepest vertical shaft in NZ (170m)
  • You can expect to arrive at a very special place in Takaka Hill when you drive up the mountain road to Bron Haul. Amazing views of the Tasman Bay and the islands by day and millions of stars in the dark sky at night. We loved the serenity and beauty here. Yet, it is a short drive to Abel Tasman National Park and the beautiful coastal track, to vineyards, orchards, and dining and groceries, which are available in Motueka. The modern “barn” is well designed and very functional, with a huge deck facing the hills and the sea. Comfortable bed and lovely linens. The kitchen has a modern gas stove and oven, which I appreciated. Guy and Carolyn are great hosts: thoughtful, giving you space to enjoy the tranquility of this hilltop retreat, responsive, and forthcoming with information — all to ensure you enjoy your stay.

    Christine2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • The most wonderful view, total peace and quiet and a very spacious chalet with a very high standard of amenities made this an outstanding stay. Guy and Caroline were so welcoming and helpful, which made our two nights there even better.

    Janice2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • It's hard to add to what has already been said. They have thought of every touch! This place is truly perfection and 3 nights was not enough. There is so much to do in the area - it's a bit tough to choose from exploring or just spending time in this AirB&B gazing out at the view and chatting with Guy and Karen. Note for those who do not want to be social - they totally respect that, but if you do want a chat, they are very special people.

    Judy2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Wow. We’ve spent 3 nights at Bron Haul and we could have stayed so much longer. We had many great accommodations in NZ, but this one took it to a whole new level. The house is just as wonderful as their lovely hosts Carolyn and Guy. It‘s perfectly equiped and decorated with love, the view is amazing (from everywhere, even from the shower :-D). A wonderful place to start trips to Abel Tasman and even to just sit on the terrace and enjoy the sheep, cows and rabbits around you.

    Marius2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was definitely our favourite place we stayed during our three week adventure in New Zealand! Beautiful views, and thoughtful touches throughout the eco barn — not to mention the amazing shower! Guy and Carolyn are so very friendly and accommodating. As other reviews have mentioned, the road is quite steep but we managed fine in a Ford Focus. An idyllic location to explore Abel Tasman — don’t miss out on this place!

    Adreon2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful spot! We enjoyed staying here so much. The view was amazing from the barn, and was the first thing you saw when you woke up from the upstairs bedroom. We loved having an easy-to-navigate kitchen to cook our meals in, and the shower was a unique touch! Guy and Carolyn were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Kaiteriteri and Marahau beach were only a short drive away, and it was the perfect location for a day trip to the Abel Tasman. We would love to come back one day!

    Lauren2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful peaceful chalet with superb views and friendly helpful hosts. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Communication was prompt and efficient. Our only regret is not staying longer and we would have no hesitation in recommending Bron Haul.

A sunny and bright studio, this is a perfect spot to unwind and recharge. Overlooking our expansive backyard and onto Mt Campbell, wake up to birdsong. Very handy to town with it's cafes & restaurants. Part of the Great Taste Trail (local food, wine & craft beers) and en-route to the Abel Tasman & Kahurangi National Parks, there are golden sand beaches, all just minutes away. Stay & rest or use this as a base for the region's activities. For a “behind the scenes” peek Instagram @themainlanders
A lovely, sunny & snug studio. This would make for a great place to stop and rest or to use as a base while you make the most of all the exciting things that this region has to offer - from the bike and walking trails, to sky-diving, the beaches and of course, the national parks. You should be very comfortable on the double sized bed, with feather and down pillows. There are extra blankets as well, in case you should feel the cold. There is also a wall (panel) heater for your comfort. While there is no stove to cook, the microwave & fridge should be very handy. Help yourself to the bread & milk, as well as coffee, tea, hot chocolate, herbal teas, as well as spreads provided, for breakfast. The local restaurants and cafes are great and there are some menus handy to help you decide your next meal. WI-FI - There is a dedicated router in the studio to ensure you have fantastic speeds and unlimited usage (within reason!). The access codes etc are available in the room when you stay here.
A quiet, well established neighbourhood, very close to the main street and handy to the supermarket.
  • Great stay - thank you !

Your cosy cabin with views across to Kahurangi National Park is just a ten minute walk into Takaka and a ten minute drive to majestic Pohara and Tata Beaches. Newly and locally built it's a comfortable place to stay and rest a while whilst exploring the beautiful and magical place that is Golden Bay....
Totoro's Cabin is locally built with brand new furnishings and a wooden decor. The cosy double bed comes complete with snug blankets for cold winter nights. There is a small fridge/freezer, a kettle & toaster (complimentary tea & coffee included) and clothes hangers for your convenience. Perched on top of our garage the cabin has gorgeous views across the farmland to the mountains in Kahurangi National Park. For warm nights there is a fan to keep you cool, and chilly nights a panel heater to keep you snug. And plenty of Totoro memorabilia to keep you company....
Takaka is a unique experience in itself with plenty of interesting places to visit and discover. Sitting between the two stunning National Parks of Abel Tasman and Kahurangi it is truly an outdoor lovers paradise!

  • What a great place! I was only here overnight but it was wonderfully comfortable and I felt right at home in my little cabin. The view at night as the sun sets is just perfect...and you can watch it from bed. Very nice host, super attentive and wants to make you feel welcome. The cat is an added bonus, and there are some very curious chickens in the yard as well.

♥Have the entire place to yourself ♥Unlimited Fibre ♥Unlimited Netflix HD and Youtube and Spotify ♥Very central location. ♥Restaurant in the same block. ♥Supermarket on the corner ♥Wholesalers across the road. ♥Kaiteriteri beach 15 mins by car (access to Abel Tasman ) ♥Abel Tasman 20 mins (Marahau) ♥Nelson is 35 mins ( with all the boutique wineries and arts and crafts in-between) ♥Mapua Wharf 15 mins. ♥Nelson Lakes 1 hour ♥Golden Bay 1 hour ♥There are high fences and a lockable gate.
We are extremely Central. Close to everything very secure parking for your motorbike or your precious car. There is a bar 2 doors down another bar on the corner a supermarket on the other corner with great restaurants in between, a bank 1 block away and wholesalers across the road. What more could you possibly need? The very popular Kaiteriteri Beach with its golden sands is 10 minutes away, The Abel Tasman (the jewel in our crown) is accessible from Kaiteriteri or Marahau if you want to walk. To the south, we have the beautiful Nelson Lakes. There is a motorcycle workshop 3 doors down and an automotive workshop just down the driveway. If you are wanting to wake up to bird song this is not the place for you.
The apartment is right in the middle of town. All the cafes and bars on your doorstep and a supermarket on the corner.
  • Well located in the centre of Motueka, the apartment is large and close to restaurants or supermarkets. With 2 bedrooms, it was perfect for 3 adults. Be aware that the walls are thin, so you can hear noises from the garage during working hours (same building) or from the street (traffic). But if you wake up to enjoy Abel Tasman area (hiking, kayaking, beaches,...) it won’t be a problem. Good communication with Adrian.

"The Chocolate Yurt" is a fully insulated 6m yurt with a skylight to gaze at the stars at night. A private retreat in the native bush with outdoor kitchen with cooking facilities and bath/shower, both with amazing views of the Motueka river valley and the Tasman Bay beyond.
Our yurt resides in an eco village in the Motueka river valley, 15 minutes from Motueka. The handcrafted wooden furniture gives it a warm, inviting atmosphere. A woodburner provides warmth for the winter months.
Our yurt is surrounded by native bush and often you wake up with the song of the bellbird and fall asleep with the sound of the morepork. Our neighbours are all happily living in this beautiful spot
  • Very nice place to stay and relax! Amazing views and also very eco friendly.

    Nick2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • All we can say is WOW! The most amazing, peaceful and luxury place. Our favourite Air BnB ever, we highly recommend this place to anyone, we will be booking to come back again later on in the year. The outdoor shower was a highlight for us. If you need to have a break, this is the place to come with the birds chirping in the morning it can't get any better. Thanks so much again, Amy & Kane

    Amy2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved our mini getaway to the yurt. Everything has been built and is operated with love, care and thoughtfulness. It’s such a peaceful retreat and we’ll certainly be returning and are already recommending it to friends. Thank you to Tessa, Remko and family for the experience x

    Emily2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Words cannot express the uniqueness of the stay. It was perfect in every way and so much more than expected. Our hosts made the experience perfect. This will be a holiday we will remember for a very long time. Book with no reservation, you will love this yurt!

    George2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to relax and unwind. The views are fantastic and the yurt is cosy and comfortable. It was so good to enjoy such a basic yet enriching way of living, we would have liked to stay longer.

    Joyce2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Can not speak more highly of Tessa and Remkos yurt and our whole experience staying in such beautiful surroundings. The yurt is cozy and creates a sense of calm the moment you step in. The surroundings are stunning, go explore! We recommend you have the offered breakfast because its yummy and the perfect way to start the day. Tessas massage is a wonderful addition too. After weeks of chronic shoulder pain I floated out feeling not just physically better but mentally and emotionally positive. You will not regret staying in this special place and meeting these special people.

    Shane2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Brand new to the Yurtlife Experience and would love to do it all over again! The views were amazing and the baths were brilliant! As for the yurt itself it was warm the bed was amazing! Remko was a fabulous host and gave us a little tour when we arrived !

    Simon2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • The yurt is indescribably beautiful! We immediately felt at home and enjoyed every moment. The outdoor kitchen and shower have their very own charm. I have never showered with such a beautiful view! I can recommend the accommodation to anyone who is looking for peace and relaxation and wants to be in the middle of nature. Yveta was expecting other guests on the same day and she was kind enough to pack our things and made sure it wouldn’t get wet had it rained etc. So nice, thank you so much. Great place with the outdoor dining area and the dogs are lovely!

Welcome to our Home, with river running next to Abel Tasman NP. The beach is 1km down the road. Bask on sun decks, with relaxing views of pond and gardens, accompanied by sounds of nature. Pick tea herbs to prepare in shared kitchen. Ours is a relaxed household with a cat. Enjoy stars and river-song from the nurturing hot outside bath in our unique bathroom, surrounded by greenery. Our compost toilet is earth-friendly and outside the house. Your double bedroom is private, with desk and chair.
We are alternative open-minded people with wonderful stories to share. We are also sensitive to your needs, should you prefer to just retreat. We sometimes have meals available for an added cost of $15 per meal, per person. Although you are also welcome to use the shared kitchen. Ours is a compost toilet that is outside the main building. Our bathroom is separate from the main building, and is outside with bath, shower and clothes washing amenities.
We are in a rural area, and Marahau is known for its friendly locals.

  • This place is extraordinary! He is steeped in "Spirit". The "Big House" and the rainforest garden reflect the free spirit. The house is alive. People come and go. Western claims in terms of hygiene or comfort, you should leave behind. But everything is fine. For this you get fresh from the garden and healthy energy.

    Meike2019-04-22T00:00:00Z

Light and bright modern and clean, cosy! Well equiped with full kitchen facilities, Big deck, for the indoor-outdoor living, with a gas barbecue and outdoor table and chairs, to take advantage of the lazy days of summer, pet-friendly! One bedroom with a queen bed, there is a fold out sofa if needed, but is more suited to a couple. Only too happy to be contacted for help for any reason :) Two minutes away from the lovely Patons Rock beach, which boasts some of the best fishing area in the Bay.
  • Recommend. Well appointed and very clean. A great spot to relax.

  • This is a converted shipping container home which we were quite interested to try out having some interest in the idea. It was very comfortable with well designed spaces that work well in the small total space available. The home has a substantial lot and a lovely large sunny deck. Slight drawback from a little road noise but that didn't bother us at all. Recommended

Come and enjoy a 'Classic' Kiwi caravan experience on our small farm. Relax under the trees, enjoy a view out across the paddock to the bush clad hills. Our caravan has a queen sized bed with table or have 2 extra single beds. A short drive will take you to a great swimming hole. Take a walk around the surrounding orchards. 1 km from the Great taste trail - cycle to the doorstep. Kaiteriteri and the Abel Tasman National park are about 20 mins drive.
The caravan is situated in a private space. For a more spacious cooking area we have an outdoor kitchen with sink and gas cooker. There is a path to a private flush toilet and a separate gas powered shower. We also have a fire bath (but not while the fire ban is in place). Let us know ahead if you are keen on this and we can get it warming up....
Being in the country with peace and quiet, fresh food and simple living. Relax in a hot fire bath and star gaze. Great river swimming holes are a short drive away. Take short walks around neighbouring orchards. We are 1km from the Great Taste trail.
  • Helen was an amazingly welcoming ,friendly and helpful host. We had the best nights sleep of our NZ trip in this peaceful place and enjoyed the rustic and away from it all location. The caravan was well equipped and clean the hot shower was great after walking in this beautiful area.

  • Helen's caravan is a walk back in time, but with all the modern conveniences on hand. A lovely setting . We enjoyed our stay. Note for travellers that Nelson is sandfly country. We were ok on the site but they lurk at every watering hole sea and river.

Helen was really helpful - a perfect host. The place was very clean and tidy. It is in a perfect location for who want to visit Abel Tasman. We definitively recommend her place to other guests. Thanks, Helen!

The accommodation was located close enough for all the activities we planned in the Abel Tasman National Park. Charmaine was a very helpful and friendly host and our apartment was provided with everything we needed. Since we were allowed to cook in their kitchen in the evening, everything was perfect. I would totally recommend spending some time there.

  • The Retreat provides spacious accommodation, simply furnished and very comfortable. It’s located in a perfect rural setting, very quiet and with stunning scenery. Mike and Anne were good and responsive hosts. We would happily stay there again.

  • This historic character home was a delightful stay for our family of 5, including 3 adults and 2 children under 5. The layout of the house provides opportunities for both privacy and together time, as rooms are separated by a middle hallway through the middle of the house. Furnishings and amenities are older, tasteful, and oh so very functional. Anne’s prolific and stylistically diverse artwork on the walls adds interest and color to every room. If the location suits you as it did us, then look no farther, this is a great please to stay and there is much to see and do right at home and a short drive down the road. Our 3 nights here were not nearly enough. The handbook Mike and Anne provide is a wonderfully thorough offering and provides really helpful details to make any of the activities or adventures successful and stress-free. I was really impressed. We hiked to white rock and enjoyed the views, the local human residents, and the fairy-land creatures we invented along the walk to keep us motivated up the steep track. We sadly did not swim in the beautiful river which you should jot make that mistake it’s too blue and clear and lovely. The maze on the property is a fun challenge! Mika provides our son with a pole tennis game to play which was a hit, and a bottle of bubbles which entertained the kids for an hour, much appreciated!! As icing on the cake, we come home with two of Anne’s pieces of artwork which will forever remind us of our time here. By the way, the BBQ grill is brand new and excellent! The indoor kitchen is tiny but has what you need. We are grateful for the must needed rest and the comfortable home-like vibe. We hope to go back if we can some day.

  • An old house perfectly equipped in a large wooded land. A nice view of the surrounding mountains and a relaxing calm.

  • We had an amazing time here - great roomy house with lots of facilities provided, perfect for kids and the surrounding areas are just beautiful. Ideal base to explore the area and to just relax.

    Katie2019-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • A charming old house in a beautiful pastoral setting. Three nights was not enough time to appreciate the house itself, let alone the surrounding countryside. The house is large and comfortable with room to stretch out and look through the collections of old magazines, books and DVDs. (especially Mr. Bean!) A perfect place for families and people who appreciated the design and patina of older houses. Mike met us at the door and showed us around, and though we didn't meet Anne, here presence was very much felt and admired in her paintings which hang throughout the house. Sweet, hopeful images. The house has the most organized manual of any AirBnB place we've visited. Make sure to read it through--it's got many good suggestions for places to visit and things to do. The cottage is a peaceful and lovely place of retreat and restoration from the general busyness of life; I might add it's a fanatic value. We loved being there and send our gratitude to Anne and Mike. Highly recommend. Paul, Andrew, and the lads.

  • Perfect place to rest before and after the Great Walk Abel Tasman. Everything is very clean and nice. We were lucky because it was just us using the common areas, so we enjoyed the fireplace all evening. Carolyn and Bruce are really nice and helpful. And after the toilet doing magic tricks during our night, they acted right away and offered us to stay for one more night for free! Thank you again for your welcome!

  • Tim and Dagmar’s home is a jewel of a find and was a highlight of our trip. It couldn’t be better situated for visiting Abel Tasman and the views can’t be beat!

    Ariel2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Tim and Dagmar's home was wonderful, we had a nice size room with an amazing balcony view over the inlet below. Tim and Dagmar were very welcoming and made us feel at home, their lovely dog Nina was very friendly too. There was fresh coffee, a variety of tea, bread and homemade honey available for breakfast in the morning. In terms of location it was perfect for us, we went kayaking and walking from the local village in the valley and then explored the top end of Abel Tasman the following day. Dagmar and Tim had loads of local tips on what to go and see and places to eat. We did pretty much everything they recommended and really enjoyed it all. Would definitely stay again if we are back in Abel Tasman. Would highly recommend

  • This is such a peaceful and beautiful oasis yet so close to the Able Tasman National Park. The accommodation is nicely presented in an idyllic location with tasteful furnishings, flowers and a thoughtful breakfast. Surrounded by nature. Rae gave us great time.y advice on what to do, using Wilson’s for kayaking at split apple rock and an extended boat trip and walk from medlands beach the next day. Enjoyed eating at Kaiteriteri and marahua.

  • We had high expectations for Al and Cath's place based on the photos and reviews....and they were exceeded! The views are out of this world and the accomodation was extremely comfortable. We appreciated the extra touches that made us feel welcome and were delighted to meet Al and Cath who were both very hospitable.

    Mark2020-03-13T00:00:00Z

  • What a wonderful place to stay all home comforts & more with friendly hosts and the most fabulous views. We didn't want to leave.

    Mark2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What a find. A spectacular setting on the side of a hill overlooking Marahau at the gateway to Abel Tasman National Park. The view alone was worth the price of admission but the hospitality and little touches - tea, coffee and milk not to mention a Bluetooth speaker for our music made for a great experience. Be warned, though, it’s pretty remote. There is no mobile signal but the free WiFi more than compensates. You will definitely need a car and remember to do some grocery shopping in Motueka about 20 minutes drive away before you get here as facilities in and around the park are limited. The apartment itself was spotless, well appointed and very comfortable. It was also pretty good value for money so I would highly recommend Al and Cath’s lovely hideaway.

    David2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place to stay. The hammock with the view alone makes it worth the stay. The accommodation is roomy and tidy. It is a well organized space. All the lights are labelled so you don’t have to try every light switch before you find the one you want. There are clear wifi and recycling instructions, even a fire blanket. As I said, really well organized. Side note, the foamer with the nespresso machine works really well! Al & Cath were really friendly, lovely hosts. We would highly recommend and would absolutely stay again.

This room has a queen size bed and a single bed. We have a portacot and a high-chair available for use. The house itself is not set up for curious toddlers, but we welcome guests with children with parental supervision.
We are located in prime distance to a local cafe (Toad Hall) as well as being very close to the maternity and geriatric hospital. The estuary walk is also very close.
  • They are so friendly welcoming people. I heard good stories from them and they made me laugh a lot. I also love the breakfast, especially the home-made sourdough. It was fantastic. I'd like to visit them again:-)

  • Andrea and Bruce are lovely welcoming hosts, and made us all feel very welcome into their home. The house and room are perfectly clean. Breakfast provided was excellent.

    Aaron2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome twosome, wife and husband duo. Andrea was a perfect host and Bruce a great personality. We enjoyed the early checkin offer and Andrea made us very comfortable from the first minute we met her. Bruce went on to show his lovely garden and even allowed us to pluck the Lemons from his small orchard. The breakfast was well laid and personally served by Andrea early in the morning and time was no constraint. We loved the hospitality and recommend anyone who wants to visit Motueka. And a personal note - please interact with Andrea and Bruce that is what they are there for. We will be back soon.

    Rohinton2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • The days with Andrea were very nice and felt like home. Andrea and her husband are very hospitable and you have the opportunity to sit in the garden after a hard day in the evening or in the living room with them :) I also had brochures about nearby restaurants in my room, which was also quite helpful.

    Katrin2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Andrea and Bruce were amazing hosts! They warmly welcomed us and made us feel very much at home. Breakfast was a highlight with Andrea’s homemade sourdough bread. We also loved breakfast being served on a China dinner set - a lovely touch. Their house is in a very quiet part of town but not too far from local shops and they have a lovely garden which you can sit out in and enjoy, with the occasional cluck from Andrea’s chickens. We will definitely stay at Andrea and Bruce’s if we return in the future. Highly recommended!

  • I thank Andrea for the open and warm hospitality, giving us as many insider’s tips as possible as to enjoy the local amenities! We appreciated a lot the wonderful walk towards the sea in the late afternoon, fantastic sunset, really invigorating! The breakfast was good, still I greedily expected those pancakes you see in the picture as you book. Well we were happy we spent 2 nights at Andrea’s!! Warmly recommended!!

    Massimo2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Very kind couple, giving us nice tips about the surroundings, we enjoyed a fantastic walk from the house towards the beach, with low tide than and heaps of nice birds to see, spectacular sunset! The breakfast was ok, I was just missing the pancakes from the picture I saw during booking the room. The location is very nice, so we decided to stay one more night. I would recommend the place !

  • Very kind and relaxed people and generous with what they pop in the fridge for your breackfast - also proper coffee, lots of different teas and things like that. You would be very happy staying as their guests.

  • Such a nice find! Place was cozy and well stocked with all the cooking essentials plus generous portions of food to make your own breakfast. Saw a family of quail lingering around the property, also the pet rabbits and chickens were cute. Thanks Jackie for a memorable stay!

  • We stayed two nights in Jackie’s place and had a great time! Everything was very clean, the bed comfortable and Jackie provides so much extra things like towels, kitchen stuff, a full breakfast, lotions etc.. Very peaceful surroundings and Jackie was also very helpful with the directions and with our travel planning. Would always come back!

  • Jackie’s Studio was so cosy. The bed was sooo comfortable. Jackie was a great Host - spoilt us with lots of goodies. The Studio is rural but it was lovely to wake up to the sounds of the birds and chickens running around. If we ever return to the area we would definitely stay here again.

  • We had a lovely time staying at Jackie’s place. We had everything we needed during our stay. Jackie offered us a lot for the breakfast : bacon, eggs, bread, jam, mushrooms and tomatoes, milk and much more! It was really appreciated! Very clean and tidy room as well as bathroom. Would recommend it as it is the best airbnb we’ve done so far !

The room has a comfortable Queen size bed and a lovely modern ensuite. It has separate access. Inside there's a table and 2 chairs, a mini fridge, kettle, microwave and tea & coffee making facilities. Guests have shared use of our BBQ and pool area as well as shared use of the laundry. PLEASE NOTE While this room has its own access it is not an entire Villa. It is a Queen Room with its own ensuite. It is attached to the main house where a family is living. This means there is some noise.
We are right in the heart of Motueka which is a bustling town with all amenities including two good supermarkets, many lovely cafes, restaurants and shops. There are banks on the mains strip so if you are heading to the Abel Tasman National Park or over to Golden Bay, Motueka is a great place to base yourself for day trips or to stock up on all the essentials you will need for your trip.
  • Nice and easy

  • Great value for money , the room and pool area were spotless, and the location is ideal, a short walk from the high street.

    Geoff2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • A really great value for the space. Very roomy and comfortable. We barely noticed other occupants of the other rental and main house. The pool was lovely for an afternoon dip, and the location was excellent for evening walks and getting around the area. We will absolutely stay again if we return to the area.

  • Lovely accomodation, great location, easy checkin and good fast communication :)

    Will2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay here with more than we could have expected for what is advertised as a room and en-suite, the additional touches (microwave, knives, cutlery, chopping board etc..) made it easy to cook a bbq with salads in the evenings and preparing our picnics for the daytime. This is the perfect spot to stay for getting around the area and for any trips to the Abel Tasman. The Family in the main house were lovely and we would definitely stay again if in the area. Thanks for hosting us and complimenting our Christmas holiday by making our stay relaxing and enjoyable.

  • The apartment is spacious and clean. The bed and linens were comfortable. The location is right in the middle of everywhere you could want to travel to in Abel Tasman area.

Country retreat, close to Motueka Valley River, 5mins drive away. Motueka Town, known as the gateway to the Abel Tasman national park is 15mins drive away. Quiet location which allows you to get back to nature. Accommodation provides a modern self sufficient experience with access to private courtyard outside area, with views of the surrounding countryside.
Rural setting with quiet location. Plenty of ground to walk around and take in the views and birdsong.
  • Newly renovated place in a beautiful setting ... we just love feeling butterflies in our stomach when we’re approaching an unknown airbnb spot and this was so so much better than the average listing. Pheasants (and then the hosts) welcoming us was a cherry on top of an already very tasteful cake.

  • A lovely little home from home in a delightful rural area. Janette met us in person and was very friendly. Everything you need here for a comfortable stay.

  • I would highly recommend this retreat. We had a very comfy stay. Kitchen was well equipped so were able to cook for ourselves without difficulty. Would stay again if we were visiting Able Tasman national park.

  • Lovely place to stay! Super cute studio next to a beautiful house in the middle of nowhere. Room is very stylish and clean. Unfortunately we left early due to very bad weather. Would recommend this to anyone who wants to enjoy some peace and quiet in a nice place with a beautiful view. Janette is also very nice and helpful.
