  • Good stay

  • The Sister Casita was everything we hoped for on our vacation to Taos. Authentic decor made for the ultimate New Mexico experience and the convenient location made exploring all the shops, restaurants, scenery and Taos Ski Valley very easy. Jessica was not only a phenomenal host, she helped us through our first experience with AirBnB, quickly replied to all messages, and went above and beyond to assist us late at night. I’ve traveled the world and there are very few places like Taos, you’ll love it here.

    Jordan2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at the Casita!! We came to Taos to ski as a last minute trip. We are so delighted that we got to stay here! Check in was a breeze, Jessica was very informative. She was always quick to answer any questions I had, and even checked on us to see how we were enjoying our stay! The casita has everything we needed, I like to cook so I was very happy that she had a well stocked kitchen! The casita was clean and tidy, and also decorated very nicely! The location was great, everything was close! Plenty of great restaurants nearby ( our favorite was Orlando’s) and there was a organic healthy grocery store right across the street. We didn’t get to see any of the Taos local attractions but they were all fairly close. The drive to the ski resort was only about 25-30 min. Would highly recommend staying at Jessica’s casita! Can’t wait to stay here again next ski season! Thank you Jessica for sharing your beautiful home with us!

  • Very charming, super clean, great location, reasonable price, dog friendly, friendly host, couldn't have asked for anything more. Hope to be coming back this summer!

    Hilary2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The Sister Casita is a cute, one bedroom located within a duplex. The walls are quite thin, and we could hear the other side of the duplex's conversation early in the morning. However, other than that, the space is perfect, and Jessica is extremely timely with communications. The check-in is simple, and the casita has its own private space. The location is great - near The Love Apple, and we also walked to coffee at The Spot.

    Katie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect for our short stay in Taos. It was very clean, cozy, and charming! The bed was very comfortable and the hosts were just amazing with super quick response time and lots of info on things to do and places to see. The Casita is close to everything in town and only 15 miles to the ski area, which was a bonus for us. The kitchen is well equipped with pretty much everything you'd need for a short or long term stay and we loved the beautiful bathroom. We didn't want to leave, but it's time to get back to work :). We will definitely be staying here again!

Perfect retreat haven, peaceful yet close to town. Perfect for one, pleasant squish for two. Two twin beds. Full range, small fridge. • Perfect study retreat! This place is cozy, quiet and has a fantastic energy. Great patio out front and warm cozy stove to sit by inside. You are close by to other dwellings, but it feels like you are secluded in your own private world. The place was outfitted with all the necessities and just couldn't have been better.

  • Jessica was a great help when we booked our trip and provided great communication for all of our needs. The space is perfect for a small group and provides all the necessary amenities. It is also in a great location! It is relatively close to town and restaurants (we were able to walk to the distillery). It is also an easy commute to the ski resort. Perfect spot to get the full experience of Taos.

    Tom2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful stay here - clean, comfortable with many artistic touches throughout. It was bigger than I imagined and the fenced in yard made the size seem even bigger (dogs loved the yard). It was also quiet yet close to all Taos has to offer. I look forward to a return visit!

    Chad2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Casita Rio was wonderful. The space was perfect for our family of four and two dogs. It’s right off the main road so was easily accessible and a quick in and out for day trips to Angel Fire, Santa Fe, and Black Rock Hot Springs. Cid’s Market is just down the street and we had great takeout from Taos Pizza Out Back around the corner.

    Jamie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very convenient location and seamless check-in with good instructions! Everything we needed.

  • So peaceful and lovely retreat🙏💕

    Jane2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here with my sister and two dogs for a ski trip and loved it. Location is great, quick drive to Cid’s Market, downtown, Taos Pueblo, and free shuttle to the ski resort. The loft provided my sister and I each with our own cozy sleeping spaces and the dogs loved playing in the fenced in yard. Would stay here again.

Enjoy this private and unique adobe house on 14 acres with its secluded but perfectly situated location 17 miles from Taos Ski Valley and 2.5 miles north of Taos Plaza. You'll have the whole house and all the land to yourself--perfect for a quiet retreat or a romantic getaway. In case your group requires more space, there is an additional 2 person room available through Airbnb (only available to guests that book the Relaxing Taos Adobe Abode.) Please inquire!
The room is just a small part of a 3000 square foot classic old adobe with 30" thick walls. The house was originally built in the early 1900's and features locally milled pine wood floors and counter tops, soft mud plaster with latilla and split cedar ceilings. It sits on 14 acres with incredible unobstructed views of Taos Mountain. It has mature cottonwoods, dozens of (somewhat feral) fruit trees and an acequia (irrigation stream) along its eastern border. The large guest room suite (roughly 350 square feet) features wonderful radiant heat from a Kuma oil stove (winter), a couch, a club chair, 40" HDTV, HULU with Live TV (includes multiple HBO stations, local channels, ESPN channels, NBC Sports, and many other traditional cable channels.) Disney+, Netflix, HBO NOW, Amazon Prime, ESPN+, PBS and many other APPs are also available on a 100Mbs wireless network. The room is also equipped with A/C for the summer months (though the nights in Taos are very cool and the A/C is rarely needed.) The queen sized bed has a feather comforter with duvet, feather pillows, (neck and memory foam pillows are also available as are down alternative comforters and pillows) premium cotton sheets, wool blankets and a mattress pad heater (warm up the sheets before you go to bed!) for extra coziness. There is a small desk with pens, pencils and notepads and a flashlight in case of emergencies. There is an iron inside the wardrobe and an ironing board next to the wardrobe. Lastly, there is an additional 2 person bedroom (king sized bed) that can be booked through AirBnB if you are looking for more space. (The additional room is only available to guests that book this listing--you'll never be sharing the house with strangers.) Enjoy!
The house is located off a paved road but is a 1.5 miles from the nearest grocery stores (Cid's is a wonderful locally owned natural food grocery store similar to Whole Foods) and restaurants. Its about a 45 minute walk into town and a 25 minute drive to Taos Ski Valley. Other places to check out: Coffee: World Cup, The Apothecary Grocery Stores: Cid's Food Market, Taos Market, Smiths Restaurants: Dinner: The Love Apple, Orlandos, Parcht. Lunch/Breakfast: Taos Diner, Gutiz, Manzanita Market, Koko
  • My husband and I stayed 3 nights here and we LOVED it! Easily one of the most unique properties we have stayed in. The historic adobe architecture is amazing, super quiet and cozy during cold nights. We cooked a lot of meals there and felt like a queen and king in the epic dining room. The view of the mountains, the incredible stars, and the proximity to town make it an ideal location. Chris is a very thoughtful, detail oriented host. He gave great recommendations and always responded quickly. Don't pass this place up!!

    Alexis2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Chris's place is nothing short of awesome! So quiet and private you feel like you're miles away from everything. But your only a few minutes to town and under a half hour to the mountain! Many thoughtful touches, super well appointed space and great communication. Our room was already warm upon arrival and kept us cozy our entire trip. We would definitely stay here again!

    Niki2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • What a unique experience to stay at Chris’ place! The kitchen was amazingly outfitted. We really enjoyed our peace and quiet and close proximity to town as well as skiing!

    Yusuo2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for the perfect embodiment of Taos charm, then you have found it here. Chris's earthship has everything to make your vacation home feel like your own home. Nice, share-able bathroom (I’m picky!) with hooks, extra towels, a bench, good lighting and plenty of storage! Kitchen was great and we cooked several meals at home and played games on the big dining table. Gas fireplace was a great touch! Easy in/out and super-responsive hosts! Will stay again!

    Conor2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Very convenient location if you are skiing! Easy to locate and get in and out. Loved the hot tub, even in the snow! Stars are amazing to view there! Royal is a great communicator and host!

    Sammie2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We loved The Royal Bear! Being located in central-Arroyo Seco which is a unique town with an “artsy” culture, the lodge was perfect. It was less than a 5 min walk to several shops and fantastic restaurants. We used as a base camp for daily ski trips to Taos (30 mins) and Angelfire (50 mins) which worked great. Lodge was very clean and exactly as advertised

There are many houses in Taos for visitors to choose from, but this one stands out for it's authenticity and charm. Built by men from the Taos Pueblo in the 1940's for the artist Charles H. Reynolds and his wife Ruth, it is unique and very lovely.
This home is the slightly smaller side of a sprawling duplex. It has its own entrance and two large, enclosed yards. It is furnished with many of the original antiques, and the walls are hung with paintings by the Taos artist Charles H. Reynolds and others. You will feel like you have stepped back in time, surrounded by the thick adobe walls and hand carved beams in the ceilings. The fireplace crackles with pinion wood fires in the winter, scenting the air with it's fragrance. The home is quite spacious, about 1300 square feet.
Brook Street is one of the older, quieter neighborhoods in Taos. You can easily walk to the restaurants and galleries, or to Kit Carson Park and Cid's Market.
  • This is the best Air bnb I’ve ever stayed in. It is not just a beautiful space, this home is like a museum. Every piece of furniture is gorgeous, its warm and inviting and very clean. We loved enjoying the afternoon sunlight in the back sun room and cozying up to the heater with a good book. Walk into the plaza was great, ten minutes tops. We drove to Taos Pueblo which is very close, and had dinner at the love apple. Two organic grocery stores nearby for snacks and stuff to make at home. I would definitely return and will miss this beautiful home.

    Alynda2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Loved staying at Laura's house! Big living room, charming furnishings and convenient to all the great shops and restaurants in town. We walked everywhere!

    Candy2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Extremely cozy and well kept! Big enough for 4 or more. We were able to bring our dog and he was very happy and comfortable in the space, fenced in yard was a perk. Will come back again!

  • Awesome place to stay!! Comfy, clean, cozy and so convenient to Taos plaza. Private front and back yard; quiet and peaceful but right next to plaza shops and restaurants....an easy walk. I would highly recommend to anyone and hope to stay here again! Fully equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds.

Welcome to the Historic Mill House just off the Taos Plaza. Enter this recently remodeled historic property one block from the plaza through a gate and a lovely courtyard with plenty of onsite, free parking - very hard to find in the historic district!
This unit has one bedroom with a queen bed and another sleeper sofa in the living room with a queen bed.
  • We loved our time at Jeff’s place! It was so beautiful and peaceful. The location and the atmosphere of the home truly added so much to our ski trip in Taos!

  • A wonderful apartment-just loved the layout and comfortable feel of the place. Clean and well appointed, great for a couple and fine for a second couple on the pull out couch as there is great room separation. Made some great meals in the open plan kitchen. Appreciated the washer/dryer! Thanks for an amazing second stay in your Historic Mill House Apartments.

  • We had a great stay here. It is surprisingly spacious. The gas kiva was very nice on the cold nights. Off street parking, and no need to drive once we arrived, everything is so close. Highly recommended.

Of the many homes in Taos that visitors can choose from, very few can offer the old world charm and historic ambience of this one. Built in the 1940's by Taos Pueblo workers contracted by artist Charles Reynolds, it is unique and very lovely.
There are two private bedrooms with great Queen mattresses and bedding. There are also two twin beds for extra guests or lounging. This home is furnished with many of the original antiques, and the walls are hung with paintings by the Taos artist Charles Reynolds and many others. You will feel that you have stepped back in time, surrounded by thick adobe walls and hand carved beams. Modern amenities include, wifi, flat screen tv, two pillow top queen mattresses and good linens, a new high efficiency heater, and plenty of hot water. The kiva fireplace adds the perfect ambience in winter, and the fragrance of pinion and cedar burning is unforgettable. All this and just a short walk to Taos Plaza, galleries, museums and restaurants. The house also has a large, private front yard with views of Taos Mountain.
Lovely, quiet old neighborhood, walking distance to much of what Taos has to offer. Park your car and walk everywhere!
  • Great historic spot with a great location

Good day! Thanks for checking out our funky, vibrant, slightly enlightening and entirely comfortable Casita de la Paulita. This humble adobe stays grounded between the steep and magical slopes of Taos Ski Valley and the eccentric's haven community of Taos.
You will have this wonderful space all to yourself! It is located across the driveway from the main house.
Casita de la Paulita is located very near Paseo de Pueblo Norte. We are one mile from Cid's Organic Grocery Store and Taos Market. Both are excellent sources of delicious food. The Casita is also located near Elevation Coffee, Orlando's New Mexican Cafe, and the Taos Ale House. All are very tasty and talented at what they do best.
  • This was a great stay! We were greeted with puppies and dogs. The place was clean and eclectic. Would stay here again!

    Hanna2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Paul's place was great! It was close to a ton of different options in town and close to skiing. Paul was super responsive and fun to hang out with while we were there. Definitely would stay there again :) Only note is to use the directions he providers to get there instead of Google maps because Google maps will route you into the middle of nowhere with the address listed on Airbnb.

  • We had a lovely stay at Casita Paulita! The house was warm, clean, and cozy! It is a really neat space!

    Anna2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Don’t let the one weird review from Tennessee dissuade you from checking this place out. It has a lot of authentic Taos charm, and is one of the cooler Airbnb spots I’ve stayed in for ski weekends in Taos over the past 6 years. Great location, cool decor, neat furniture, very functional kitchen, good wood stove for fires in the living room, excellent and very beautiful shower. I guess it is actually pretty accurate to say this space works better for a couple, or for intimate and close friends, as both the shower and the rest of the bathroom are not exactly remote or fully separated from the living spaces, but my girlfriend and I had a wonderful time there, and it will definitely be on our shortlist for places to stay in again if it’s just the two of us and the dog. Highly recommend!

Just North of the plaza. walking distance from natural grocer & restaurant. Very private, lots of fruit trees, with a nice yard. Super nice taos getaway.
small and roomy=cozy. Vaulted ceiling and heated floor. Adobe walls keep the interior space at a cool temperature in the summer. Full size kitchen and a BBQ on the private back patio. The interior is tastefully decorated to reflect Taos style. This Quiet retreat will feel like a second home.
  • Lovely casita in the heart of Taos. Extremely clean and well kept plus it has heated floors. Need we say more? Very spacious; plenty of room to move around even with several suitcases and ski bags. Excellent communication was a plus! Thank you!!

    Robin2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Casita was very cozy, clean and comfortable. It had all the amenities we needed and great movie selection!

    Monica2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The house is in a convenient spot for exploring Taos and surrounding areas. The heated floors and wood beam ceilings were and added bonus. The small yard worked well for letting our pup out. Overall nice stay!

  • Dane's place provided the welcoming and comfortable stay which, along with its great location, made for a perfect getaway. Dane was quick to assist us from start to finish in our last minute booking and we are so grateful to have found this place.

    Mariko2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Dane's place was excellent. Extremely close to everything in Taos, super comfortable, and easy to get into/out of.

  • The wife and I were surprised when we walked through the door. The photos don't quite do this place justice. It's charming and comfortable. There's a fenced backyard, which was great for us because we brought our two dogs. Despite being only a short walking distance from the main road through town, this place is quiet and peaceful.

    Nicholas2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying in this easy, comfortable, and conveniently located casita. I'd recommend! It was great to be able to bring our dog along for the weekend in Taos, although I'd note that the backyard was not 100% fenced in and has some gaps for curious pups to wander out through.

    Elena2020-02-09T00:00:00Z

Walk to the Plaza, galleries, and the many festivals at Kit Carson park. Located in the heart of majestic Taos - a few doors down from the Mabel Dodge Lujan home on beautiful Morada Lane, this 2 bedroom 1 bath is a peaceful / fun place to stay within the historic district.
Upstairs fully furnished in the Historic District. Quiet 2 bedroom overlooking Kit Carson Park and the area. Be a part of the neighborhood - walking distance to everything. This is not rustic or roughing it, more like a modern loft This is the as close to the pulse of Taos as you can get in the town. The place comfortably fits four to six - so it's probably ideal for a couple or two couples traveling together. The back entrance to Kit Carson Park is seconds away. Watch a baseball game or hear live music from the deck weeknights in the summer, go for a morning run, or just stroll to the cemetery. WiFi and HBO.
This neighborhood is steeped with history and interesting characters. It is also very beautiful and the home is perfect for those who want to spend some time away from it all (or not there is wireless internet!) The space is also perfect for someone who wants time to think, write a dissertation or escape the pace of modern life for a while. I find minimalistic decoration is the best backdrop to focus on whatever is important at the moment. Have coffee or do yoga in the living room at sunrise or watch the sunset from the back porch with a glass of wine. All modern conveniences in a very historic area - warm and cozy in the winter, breezy and cool in the summer.

Little Casita is located 2 blocks (0.3 mile) from the Historic Taos Plaza and Taos Historic District. A short stroll to Taos Plaza's shopping, galleries, restaurants, breweries & museums. Approximately 19 miles to Taos Ski Valley (35 min drive) or 0.9 miles to the Kachina Lodge, a stop for a free Taos Ski Valley shuttle. This clean & comfortable guesthouse includes a queen bed, internet, TV, kitchen, bathroom & parking.
parking is next to the Little Casita, it is safe and private, the property has 3 houses but is on an acre of land, and fenced all around. So parking is not a problem. I greet my guests, most of the time. I give guests space but am available in person or by phone if needed. I socialize with guests, if they request.
The neighborhood is quiet and safe, thus far.
  • The little casita was a perfect place to stay. Short walk to all the shops and galleries in the middle of town, but tucked away, quiet, and private. So glad we had the chance to relax here for a couple of days. Definitely recommend it!

Casa Maravilla is a spacious 1 bedroom casita nestled in the heart of town. Walking distance to Historic Taos Plaza, but feels miles away from everything! A lush green property at the end of a country lane. Thoughtful interior.
Enjoy the comfort of a newly built guesthouse (completed in 2015) located at the far side of our one-acre property. Casa Maravilla is in the historic district of Taos, New Mexico. right in the heart of town, but is very private and quiet. Just a seven-minute walk to Taos Plaza, shops, restaurants, galleries and entertainment. A great ski rental property!! The picturesque drive to the Taos Ski Valley only takes 30 minutes so you can enjoy the best of both worlds. Come back from a day of skiing and relax in the Hot Tub! Our casita greets its guests with a long shaded porch, to sit and enjoy nature and the gardens, or savor a relaxed meal outdoors, with a view of Taos Mountain in the summer and in winter to store your ski gear. Inside the 700 sq.ft. house is a spacious, open floor plan with pastoral and private views through its many windows. The main area hosts a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and living room with a gas fireplace and additional lounging spaces, including a cozy window seat that could accommodate a child, and the living room area has an L shaped couch that converts to a very comfy double bed. The bedroom features a queen-sized bed and french patio doors to view Taos mountain and morning sunrise. Four Person Hot Tub is just outside the bedroom. The interior is contemporary and sophisticated, and accented with a bit of 'Taos Zen.' Soft muted colors, carpets and artifacts from our travels around the world meets the flavor of Taos whimsy. The decor features original works from local Taos artists. Casa Maravilla is the perfect peaceful spot for relaxing while watching the brilliant New Mexico sunsets, millions of stars that appear in the night sky. All in all, a delightful and truly Taos experience.
A peaceful residential neighborhood. All the surrounding properties are several acres of pastureland. We are at the end of a private road. No traffic sounds.
  • Such a great experience. The casita is quaint, and so relaxing, filled with everything you’d need. We walked to town, had easy drives (35 min) to multiple ski resorts, and even cooked meals. We hope to be back!

  • Probably my favorite Airbnb that I've stayed in so far! The casita is beautiful and the location can't be beat: the property feels very private and even remote, but you're just a 15 minute walk from the plaza area. There were so many little details that made the stay exceptional: bath robes and flip flops for the hot tub, luxurious locally-produced soaps and lotions in the bathroom, delicious fresh scones. Also, heated concrete floors! We loved everything about Casa Maravilla and will definitely be back!

    Courtney2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay! Highly recommend! Would stay there again.

    Diego2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect private casita in the heart of Taos with every detail of hospitality honed and thought through. From the private hot tub, spacious clean home, the well outfitted kitchen, barbecue, essential food items, tissues by the bed, thoughtful books, just a lot of little details that made a difference for our enjoyable stay. We were able to leave the car behind and explore the town unencumbered. So much fun and happiness here, too bad we only had 2 days.

    Suzi2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Tara and Jean’s casita is perfect and Tara was a fantastic host. Her communication and instructions were thorough and easy. She was there to meet us and easy to reach if needed. The extra touches really made it special: robes and flip flops for the hot tub, scones, butter, jam, milk, OJ and coffee for breakfast. Thank you for creating and sharing such an inviting place. We will definitely be back.

  • We had the best time at Tara and Jean Jacque’s place! They were so welcoming and really made us feel at home the minute we walked through the door-there were even delicious, fresh scones waiting in the fridge! Tucked away on a quiet street a block from the plaza, this charming apartment is the cozy get away you've been looking for. Truly a hidden jewel.
Best Casita is a hidden jewel only a block from Taos Plaza. It is part of a historical hacienda style adobe that once housed nuns working at a church nearby that burned down in the 60's. Newly and tastefully renovated, the interior was designed with comfort and convenience in mind, and it features high ceilings, a well appointed kitchen, oak floors, a kiva fireplace, and a cozy living area. An old apple tree and a plum tree stand in a small, grassy courtyard that feels almost Mediterranean in it's serenity. It is located on a quiet one-way street only one block west of the Taos plaza. Gas range and a large collection of cooking supplies. Nespresso machine with milk frother, French press, drip coffee maker. Toaster oven, panini press. French door refrigerator, microwave. Full size washer and dryer, heated bathroom floor, a gas heating stove and a kiva fireplace. Electric baseboard heater in bedroom, ceiling fans. Premium linens and a down comforter and pillows; a comfortable plush/firm queen mattress. Full sleeper sofa with memory foam topped mattress. High speed internet, HDTV, DirecTV, Blue Ray/DVD player, surround sound entertainment system, NetFlix streaming, Pandora/Spotify/Apple Airplay ready stereo system. Small wall safe, hair dryer. Large selection of books and games (backgammon, chess, dominoes, Scrabble, Apples to Apples, Old Maid, Memory, Anomia, Bananagrams, cards). The location of the apartment is one of it's greatest assets. From the front door, a five minute walk will reach twelve restaurants, dozens of galleries, the best coffee in town (The World Cup), Shree Yoga Studio, Smith's grocery store, the Bent Street shopping district, Ledoux Street, and of course, the Taos Plaza.
The apartment is in the historic district of Taos. The neighborhood is quiet, safe, and ideally located to nearby museums, restaurants, shopping, and the Taos plaza.
  • Best Casita was an outstanding stay! The place was sparkling clean and the amenities were just perfect. Kitchen had plenty to cook full meals if wanted. The sheets, towels and bedding was super comfortable and that’s a huge thing for us! The bathroom had more than the basics. The location was perfect and walkable to many places in Taos including the plaza. Overall, it was one of our top AirBNB’s we have stayed in.

    Elise2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • For my first time using AirBnB, I was not expecting to have such a wonderful experience as I did. The bar has been set very high and I am extremely thankful that my search brought me to stay at Marcus' casita. Perfect space for two, wonderful location, amazing/safe neighborhood, and plenty of amenities and appliances to ensure we could get by in the comfort of the casita. 25-30 minute drive from Taos Ski Valley. 3-5 minute walk from Taos Plaza. If you are looking for a stylish, quaint, and cozy reservation then look no further. I can say with confidence that you will enjoy it as much as we did.

  • The New Mexican word for hygge is Best Casita. We’ve stayed at Best Casita twice now. Once in 2016 and just recently for the new year. Marcus and Melanie are super prompt and warm hosts. The courtyard is a beautiful preface to the lovely interior. Well heated, comfy bed and sheets, AMAZINGLY stocked kitchen supplies, and (my personal favorite) a built in kiva fireplace. It’s quite something to trade the artistic magic of the Taos shops and studios for the homecoming magic of Best Casita. We will be back again!

    Hannah&Mike2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Marcus's Casita is just so wonderful! From booking to staying everything was seemless. So clean, perfect location a 5 minutes walk to the Plaza, super cute apartment that felt like home, fully stocked kitchen, and washer/ dryer to boot! Our favorite Airbnb to date and we travel quite frequently. Last but not least is Melanie, Marcus's co-host -- she was a delight and met us at the home with wonderful tips, a very easy and friendly conversation, and made us feel taken care of. Thank you to Marcus and Melanie!! We'll be back :-)

    Emmy2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is an outstanding property with a great location--easy access to the plaza but on a very quiet street. Without a doubt the best-equipped kitchen we have ever had in a vacation rental--great stove, coffee maker and Nespresso, good cookware, a well-stocked pantry with basic spices and oils and staples. Highly recommend, especially if you plan to use the kitchen.

This quite old adobe has been remodeled recently and is ready for private, romantic getaways. Enjoy our large private yard with many old trees and a hand dug well. Plaster walls with tile flooring and a slate bathroom. This house is 750 square feet and is great for couples, families and small groups. This house is also our personal family get away and we are looking forward to sharing it with you.
  • This house is so spacious; kitchen, laundry, huge bedroom, and the best residential hot tub I’ve ever seen! That sounds weird but it’s literally true. It’s shaped absolutely perfect for staring up at the stars. Taos is wonderful and we hope to stay here again on our next trip.

    Alex2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place for couples or small families! We loved our stay here. The proximity to downtown was great. The private hot tub after a day of skiing or walking around downtown was a treat. Would stay here again if we come back.

    Katie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing stay here! The space is beautiful. It is cozy, clean, and a perfect place to come home to after exploring Taos. The backyard and hot tub was awesome, we would definitely stay here again.

    Curtis2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful cozy house. Loved the hot tub while it snowed. Had everything I wanted and needed in a great location. Highly recommend!

    Andrew2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for a couple, king size bed. Was perfect place for a dog too. The hot tub was a great plus!

  • My boyfriend, puppy, and I had an awesome weekend in Shelli's place. For me, a few things stood out as being above and beyond our usual AirBnb experience. First, the whole place was super clean, especially the floors. I'm one of those weird people that REALLY appreciates clean floors so that I can walk around in my socks without them getting black and disgusting. So super happy about that. The hot tub was a perfect retreat after long days of skiing, and the heated floors in the house were perfect for chasing away the cold. The kitchen was very well stocked with cooking gear and supplies. Finally, the semi-enclosed yard was perfect for playtime with our puppy. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to staying again the next time we are back in Taos.

Casita Ave Maria is a 900-square foot all OPEN Southwestern-designed casita that was created and built by the Clancys. Built on the top ridge of an arroyo, it overlooks the Hondo Valley to the West and the Taos Mountains to the East. Spectacular, breath-taking views. Enormous outdoor patio with outdoor fireplace, free starter supply of wood and a six-person hot tub make outdoor living grand yet the inside pulls you in with cozy charm. Casita Ave Maria has over 280 5-star reviews.
Clancys designed and build this unique home. The outdoor living area doubles the size of our home.
  • This house was absolutely incredible. The views were to die for. The inside, beautiful, clean, and luxurious (steam shower and living room fireplace were fabulous). We had a hard time leaving the house because it was such a wonderful retreat. We couldn’t have asked for anything more from the hosts: Wood for fireplaces (indoor and outdoor) provided; towels; comfy robes; area recommendations; CLEAN hot tub; wonderful cooking space. They thought of everything... my favorite detail: a brand-new packaged sponge to use for our dish cleaning... they thought of everything. Definitely planning to come back.

  • We just spent a great 3 nights at Tammi's wonderful casita and could have spent so much more! Every little touch was so thoughtful and we had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The view was amazing, especially from the hot-tub and we have decided we now need a steam shower of our own after using the one in the casita. Plenty of firewood for the open fireplace and all of the cookware we needed. Even just having plenty of towels and robes was so unexpected. We would recommend Tammi's casita to anyone looking for a relaxing romantic getaway, or a great base to soak in the hot-tub after skiing Taos Ski Valley. Thank you Tammi!

  • Very private and relaxing. Eclectic spiritual motif lots of positive energy in the air. Tastefully decorated and cozy. Many amenities including hot tub indoor and outdoor fireplaces and steam shower. Beautiful views.

  • We have stayed in many a airbnb, and Tammi's place is one of the best we've ever experienced. Fantastic views soaking in the hot tub, and luxurious amenities inside (heated floors?!?!). We were in town for a week to relax and ski Taos Valley and had the most incredible time. Can't recommend enough.

    Josh2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Casita Ave Maria is a gorgeous studio style space with amazing views of the New Mexico terrain. The decorations and setup provided a very warm and welcome feel as soon as we stepped inside. The steam shower and hot tub are top notch after a long day of skiing and adventures. Highly recommend!!

    Chris2019-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place is like your own private luxurious terraced mini-villa -- consists of one large greatroom room with attached bath and full kitchen casitas style. The coziness, the focal point fireplace, the terrace with hot tub and outdoor fireplace overlooking a juniper and pine filled hill/valley -- so private and luscious. Many personal touches such as spiritual iconography, plentiful provided firewood, cushy robes. An inspiring space. Super comfy king bed. We'll be back!

    Cybelle2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place is wonderful! The patio is great and a wonderful place to take in amazing sunsets. The place has a well stocked kitchen and the fireplace was perfect for the chilly nights. One note I have to make is that the roof does creak with the changing temperature, so bringing ear if you are a light sleeper. Other then that it’s an absolutely great place.

This clean, well equipped, beautifully furnished retreat offers tranquility, comfort and is located on the north side of Taos. It's just minutes to town at the end of a quaint country lane. You’ll love the views. It feels far away from it all yet is only 8 minutes to famous Cid's Grocery.
Located at the end of a country road, yet minutes to town. It is peaceful with gorgeous mountain views. The hosts is a seasoned Airbnb traveler and has created a space that utilizes those experiences adding thoughtful amenities, luxury linens, functional kitchen equipment and comfortable nooks. In summer, the landscape blossoms. Located in a wildlife corridor, its ideal for bird watching. You might also spot coyotes, fox, ferrets and frogs. Unusual for Taos, there is a pond and cienega (marsh) located on the property. Because of the grassy pasture, the neighbor's horses often grazes here. You'll want to get out and about to visit local attractions but because of the location, you'll also enjoy being "home" too. The property was originally a duplex so this guest unit with private entrance is independent and well buffered from the rest of the home. There is a private courtyard and outdoor areas for guests. Come retreat with us.
Toas mountain is the dominant view to the north. To the south you see Picuris and Truchas peaks. Neighboring horses, burros and occasional coyotes will be heard. Located on a rare wetland in the high desert, the land is verdant and serene. Located towards the end of the road, traffic noise is rare.
  • Wonderful place in the outskirts of Taos.

  • The property is located in a peaceful but convenient rural setting. The kitchen is well equipped whilst the space is tastefully decorated. Recommended.

  • Great host and location. Quiet, and really nice views.

    Michael2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • The house and the host were wonderful. We Especially liked the rural character around the house combined with the proximity to town. Would be happy to stay here again.

    C2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Elaine's apartment is attached to the main house, but you have complete privacy. The separate, private courtyard allows you to enjoy morning coffee or evening glass of wine while watching the sunset on the mountains and listening to the burbling fountain. Inside the apartment, the kitchen has everything you need, including a full sized refrigerator and a small dishwasher. The induction 2-burner cooktop is a joy to use!! There is also a Waring electric oven (much more than just a toaster oven). There is no microwave, however, but we did not need one. The queen sized bed in the bedroom is very comfortable, and the views from the bed are fantastic. The walk-in shower in the bath has plenty of hot water and water pressure. The thermostat box is locked, but we were completely comfortable. I am sure that Elaine would have responded quickly if we needed a temperature adjustment. Note, however, that if you leave the windows open during the day and return late at night, the apartment can be quite cold (we learned the hard way!). It warmed up quickly after we closed the windows, but we made sure to close them each day when we left! Highly recommend!

The lilacs meet the second floor bedroom windows of Casita de Lilas. Self contained and cozy this 2nd story, studio apartment is in Taos's Historic District. Shops and restaurants are around the corner and the Ski Valley is 18 miles away; you can catch the shuttle during ski season at the Plaza where, in the summer time, there are concerts and the farmers market. Lilas is great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
Lilas is a single room with queen bed, closet, sitting area, kitchenette, balcony and courtyard. The kitchenette has a small fridge (no freezer), 2 stove top burners, and sink--- no oven. Also has microwave and coffee maker. It's perfectly sufficient for breakfast and simple meals. Restaurants are all around and you can easily heat up take out meals if you don't feel like dining out. The bed is a very comfortable queen with a pillow top.
You are downtown right in the middle of things. Festivals and concerts often occur at Kit Carson Park or the Plaza or the Paseo. All are 1 to 3 blocks away. Shopping is around the corner, restaurants within walking distance. Dancing on the plaza is Thursday evening in the summer and the Farmers Market is on Saturdays. Yet, you are a mere 18 miles from the Ski Valley with its slopes and hikes and the shuttle runs free in the winter from the Plaza.
  • This is a great casita in the heart of Taos, perfect for two. Walking distance to the plaza, easy private parking, and a great value. Small fridge and cooking options, but who’s going to cook when there’s so many wonderful places to eat out? We will definitely rebook.

    Matthew2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Love this place! Great location and so cute.

    Amber2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place was everything I needed! Booked last minute but pleasantly surprised by the wonderful value. Right around the corner from the main drag and bus to the Ski Valley. It is a studio apartment, so it was small but had everything I needed including a very comfortable bed. Thank you Cheryl. Would 100% stay again.

    Stephanie2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Cheryl’s space is in a great location downtown with galleries and restaurants within easy walking distance. It is a studio but it is a well laid out space. The kitchen is fine for prepping small meals but with two burners I wouldn’t try to do any major meal prep here. It was very quiet and I slept soundly. There is a lovely porch/balcony and the property in enclosed by an adobe wall so it is very private and quiet. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Scott

    Scott2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is very close to the shops and restaurants and convenient for skiing and cycling or just to have some quiet time to read a book. It’s cosy and clean.

    Michael2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very very cozy little flat for one person or perhaps two smaller people (who are comfortable in close cozy quarters). As a single woman, I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Theres a short flight of steps with a banister (I have achy knees but no problem!). The path is well lit; private courtyard and private parking. If you like to walk as I do, it’s close to everything: parks, paths, museums, galleries, the plaza, cafes and the reservation. It’s a perfect tiny retreat that has everything you’d need. I hope to return soon. Thank you so much Cheryl.

    Suzanna2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • This casita was perfect for 2 people and walking distance to everything! Loved our stay here and hope to return.

    Kristen2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • The place is outstandingly well situated within walking distance from the downtown plaza and a nearby EV charger. It worked perfectly as we were struggling to figure out how we could visit Taos in our EV otherwise. Cheryl was extremely responsive and helpful as we coordinated with her before arriving and after. I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to come to visit as being so close to the plaza is awesome.

  • This was the second time we have stayed at a property hosted by Patty and Juan. The apartment is beautiful and clean, and the amenities, such as the linens, are high quality and make this home away from home even nicer. Being able to easily walk downtown from the apartment means a lot to us. The neighborhood is quiet and feels safe. Thanks Patty and Juan for providing such wonderful accommodations!

Featuring an expansive porch, an easy 5- minute walk to Taos Plaza and views of Taos Mountain, Casa Regalo is a gem of Taos. Enjoy a secluded space. Casa Regalo is a private and charming adobe house with one bedroom and one bath, full of light, art, and beautiful, original hardwood floors. There’s a large, fenced-in yard, shade trees, views and recommendations of various activities for any visitor to Taos. We love families. We use non-toxic cleaners too.
This lovely 4-room adobe house is simple and comfortable. With pine floors, thick adobe walls and exposed vigas, Casa Regalo is a portrait of Taos living. There is a large, fenced-in yard with an easy-to-open gate, xeriscaping, an apricot tree and large shade trees on the property. Our front porch runs the whole length of the house and has a beautiful view of Taos Mountain. Inside you'll find a spacious bedroom including a king-size bed with memory foam topper, free-standing closet, dresser and a sitting area with a futon that folds into a full-size sleeping surface. Please note that the futon in the living area also folds into a bed for another private sleeping space. We wash and change the duvet cover after every guest and you'll find extra, clean sheets and blankets in the storage bench in the living area. There is a tv on a movable stand for viewing in either the bedroom or living room. The Roku will allow you to access your Netflix, Hulu or other tv viewing subscriptions. Please take care when moving the tv to the living room because there is one small step down. The cozy living area has a gas-log stove for warmth and ambiance in the winter without the mess and pollution of a wood stove. There's a breakfast nook and a bookshelf with games and books, including children’s toys and books. Off the living area is the bathroom with shower and bathtub. There's shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion, feminine products, Q-tips, make-up remover pads, hair dryer and plenty of fresh towels. We provide reverse-osmosis drinking water and hope you bring reusable water bottles to refill with the water we provide. The kitchen is well-stocked with cooking essentials and tools. There's a coffee-maker, french-press, grinder and electric tea-pot and we provide you with coffee, an assortment of teas, sugar and creamer. The kitchen has a microwave, blender and toaster oven with a washer and dryer tucked into a corner of the kitchen. Sunset Park is a few steps from Casa Regalo. A lovely, meandering stroll takes you and your pups to an incredible piece of open space donated to the public by Agnes Martin, local artist and Taos legend. Please visit the Harwood Museum or harwoodmuseum.org to see her incredible influence on the American art scene. We are dog friendly and have dog water and food bowls. We expect you to pick up after your pet and we provide bags to help you out. Please note there is no air-conditioner. Casa Regalo stays incredibly cool in the summer due to the thick adobe walls and the small windows on the sunny sides of the house. We recommend closing the southeast blinds when you leave the house in the daytime. There's a ceiling fan and a box fan in the bedroom for extra comfort. High-chair, pack-n-play and additional child's games and toys available upon request.
We are located a short, 5-minute walk to Plaza de Taos. This is an older, comfortable neighborhood with residents who have lived here for over 60 years. In fact, our immediate next door neighbor is over 90 years old and still lives independently. Dog etiquette is essential. Please be careful walking around with your dog unleashed. There is a chance you could encounter a dog who is not fenced in and not friendly. Valverde has proved to be safe of unfriendly dogs, but some can wander in from elsewhere. Closing the blue gate firmly when you come and go is highly recommended. Taos Ski Valley is approximately a 30 minute drive, weather dependent. Red River and the ski area is a 45 minute drive. Angel Fire Ski Resort is a 50-minute drive, weather dependent. Sipapu is 30-40 minutes. Pilar, rafting meeting point, is a 25 minute drive.
  • Fantastic kitchen with everything you need to cook a gourmet dinner. All the tea and coffee supplies you could dream of. Sugar, cream, mayo, mustard, ketchup, cooking oil and spices are all stocked for your use. So well thought through. Similar experience in the bathroom. A thermostat controlled gas fireplace in the living room is so cozy and effective, an additional heater in the bedroom as well. The king bed and bedding is so comfortable. Three doors open to the gated yard and is perfect for dogs. With ample parking out front, three cars could fit no problem. The house is tucked behind the plaza on a quiet road, and is only a 10minute walk to the center of the plaza. You also have a view of the Taos Mountain from the front porch, which has comfortable seating and tables. We also loved how dog friendly the house and hosts are. We will be back, and we highly recommend others to stay here.

  • We loved staying so close to everything and it was great to be able to have our dog along!

    Libby2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • What a great stay! Cute, cozy home with fenced in yard for the dog... bathroom supplies (lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and other necessities), cooking supplies (fresh ground coffee, oils and vinegars and more), dog waste bags, games and books. All the staples we usually forget to bring with us, all we needed to enjoy our stay. Leslie was wam and communicative, and so helpful with suggestions about restaurants, sights to see, and so on. Highly recommend staying here.

    Rina2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Walkable to the plaza. Wonderful yard for furry friends. All the essentials (bathroom and kitchen). Plenty of room for a couple and 2 big dogs. Clean and quiet. We were there to ski (approx. 30 min dry to the resort) but hope to be back in the summer to check out more of the town and hiking. Would definitely stay here again.

    Scott And Claire2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Leslie's place was great for our February ski trip to Taos. The house was the prefect size for my wife and I and was only a few min walk to the center of town with great restaurants.

    Curtis2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the house with our adult children--and our English Springer Spaniel, who is recovering from knee surgery. The space was very nice sized for four adults and one dog (who has been cooped up during his recovery). A person could go to sleep in one room while others stayed up and played games in the other room. Speaking of sleeping, the bed was much more comfortable than expected. The house is clean and tidy--and decorated with art throughout. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes as well as kitchen utensils, pots and pans, and appliances, such as a blender and a toaster oven. Cooking at the house was a much easier option for us since half the family members have celiac disease. We even managed to bake a cake for my husband's birthday celebration! The fresh tulips on the table were a welcoming touch--especially in the middle of winter. Our dog would have loved to run around the spacious yard, but, alas, he's still confined to going out on a leash. He, did, however appreciate sitting on the porch with me and listening to a variety of birds. My family drove to Taos Ski Valley two days. I was able to get my dog out on his therapeutic walk (to the Plaza and back) each day, and then leave him in his crate and go back to explore the shops and galleries. I also enjoyed looking out the large windows and watching the light reflect off the mountains as the sun set. Casa Regalo was a great launching pad for all our activities--and a comfortable place for relaxing at the end of the day.

  • We had an amazing time. Location was perfect, we loved the little town with its cute restaurants and it was only 30 min from Sipapu where we went skiing. The place was clean and super cute, just perfect for our family of 4. We had everything we needed with a full equipped kitchen and lots of coffee. We hope to be back soon

  • We really enjoyed our time at Royal Bear Lodge. The cabin feels well loved. It’s cozy, clean, and smooth functioning, has cool architecture, beautiful colors, warm fires, good reading, comfortable bed and bedding- and is convenient to Taos Ski Valley and Taos itself. Ideal!

    T2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • The Royal Bear was perfect for us! The check in was a breeze, the home was clean, cozy, had everything we needed, and the location was PERFECT! It was 10 to 15 minutes from all the Taos hot-spots, and steps from a really great coffee shop, cafe, and hot yoga studio. Being able to have our pets with us was so great. The hosts are phenomenal. We will be sure to visit again!

  • Very cozy place with ultra New Mexican style. Awesome beds, decor, and fireplaces. Comfortably accommodated 2 couples and 2 kids, although the single bathroom might be better for 4 people or less. Great location a stones throw off the main drag through Arroyo Seco, right next to Sol, ACEQ, and Sabroso. You can easily get to TSV in 20 min or Taos in 15 min. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique NM experience.

  • The host was such a genuine charming person...he made the stay that much better. We loved the adobe home. It has so much charm and coming from North Texas where we don't have adobe anything...so it made us feel what a genuine New Mexico stay should feel like. Location is GREAT to Taos ski valley and the shops walking distance away were so fun to visit. Thanks for allowing us to stay in your home!

  • Overall we had a terrific stay. The house was warm and cozy with easy access to firewood, and the gas heater was very easy to use and effective. There was plenty of room for us and our dogs. As a pet friendly place, we could not ask for more. The beds and furnishing were very comfortable with plenty of access to blankets as needed. We loved the access to the local grocery, dining and shops. The location was also great for the ski valley. The architecture of the place was very quaint and the furnishings comfortable, but watch your head at the doors if you are tall. My husband is 6’6” and had to duck under doorways, but as this is part of the architecture, he only hit it a few times before remembering :-)

My apartment is very simple and small but very cozy, convenient, and affordable... You will be a short walking distance to the plaza and all of the downtown restaurants, bars, art galleries, etc... Taos Ski Valley is only 18 miles away... Awesome trails to hike in the summer and great skiing/boarding in the winter... In the winter you will be walking distance to a free shuttle to the Ski Valley... take your board or skis with you and dont worry about having to drive! PLEASE READ ALL DETAILS
The apartment is on the second floor at the right side of the building... It is next to the highway so there is traffic noise that does die down at night. The bedroom is on the far side from the highway so even if your asleep early the noise in minimal. Especially if you use the box fan provided. You will have a designated FREE PARKING spot CIDS Wholefood grocery store and The Cellar liquor store is basically next door... Groceries plus a hot food bar and salad bar(super good stuff) ... only about 2 minutes walking distance There is a small but efficient kitchen with stove top, oven and everything you need to prepare your own meals... The fridge is midsize and does come with a catch: On the upper racks food and drinks will freeze... just want to be transparent and let any potential guests know exactly what it is they will be paying for... There is FREE WIFI and a flat screen TV with a blu ray player hooked up with NETFLIX if you are interested... hdmi connections for laptops available as well...
About a minute walk away is Cids... it is a whole foods store with organic foods (cooked and uncooked) ... There is a pizzeria(OUTBACK...sooo good), bar/grill, and SO much more all walking distance from my place... A la Carte... a couple of minutes walk... is OUTSTANDING and affordable. Most meals under $10 and SUPER DELICIOUS
  • Bryan’s place is perfect for a ski get away. The location was great and the access is so easy. The place is clean and has everything you need. Bryan is a wonderful host and responds quickly. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

  • I absolutely loved all of the cute little touches that Bryan put into the listing. Cozy, cute little place, short walk to grocery, and to the plaza. Beautiful view. I left in quite a hurry due to an unexpected illness and left my shoes. Bryan is mailing them back on his own dime. So thoughtful!

    Heather2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Bryan’s condo is perfect for a getaway to the mountains! Excellent proximity to the plaza, which has excellent restaurants, bars, shops, etc. I highly recommend this place, and i will definitely be staying here again!

Casa de la Capilla is a wonderful restored old adobe home located on La Loma Plaza, updated for convenience but maintaining original charm. This house has been our personal vacation home for several years, so it is furnished and supplied as a private home rather than a rental. Tour Taos sites and sounds, walk to Taos Plaza, shops and museums or just relax by the kiva fireplace. Enjoy the private walled garden from the front porch. This is the perfect vacation home!
Our vacation home is an old adobe that has been updated but has not lost its old world charm. It's located adjacent to historic La Loma Plaza - the first plaza to be built in Taos. The house is attached to the back of a charming old plaza chapel and is thought to have been the rectory, hence the name Casa de la Capilla. The chapel is no longer active but adds a wonderful touch to the quiet little plaza. We have outfitted our home for our trips to Taos, so you will find most every convenience you need. It is furnished with comfort and Taos charm in mind. WiFi is available throughout. The TV's are equipped with Apple TV giving you access to Netflix and many other program options. No rental style decor or furnishings here! Private walled and shaded front garden, fenced rear yard with outdoor dining area with barbeque patio outside the kitchen window all provide pleasant outdoor relaxation. You can enjoy the Taos evenings out on the front porch. Open the front door to view the kiva fireplace warming the living and dining areas. The living space is decorated with Native American art providing our guests with that special Taos atmosphere. The kitchen has a full range of appliances, cooking utensils and spices in case you may stay in for a meal or cook on the barbecue outside. Relaxation is the goal here and the house is set up for a great vacation stay. The sun room includes a desk with printer, TV, and sofa that converts to queen size bed. The large sliding door in this room provides a view of the back garden made private by the "coyote fence" that is typical Taos. Both bedrooms have queen size beds with fluffy pillows and comforters. The sun room is located at the back of the house providing privacy from the living area for guests using the fold out bed. We are pet friendly and your dog will be safe in the front and rear gardens that are fully enclosed. For additional house details, photos, and area info, you can also go to our website Casa de La Capilla which will bring you back to AirBnb to make arrangements to stay and enjoy!
Taos is a great place to stay. Every season offers different activities - almost too many to mention. Active vacationers have the option of mountain biking in summer or skiing the slopes in the winter, river rafting, hiking, fishing and other outdoor sport summer or winter. If history and art are your passion, Taos is for you as well. Incredible museums, galleries and historic homes are all around. And don't forget Taos Pueblo! An amazing experience as well as a National Monument! The immediate neighborhood is residential, safe and secure. Most homes are occupied by full time owners rather than vacation rentals.
  • This beautiful adobe home meets every expectation you could possibly want. We had such a lovely tkme here and can't wait to return.

  • What a wonderful little cache located in one of the most scenic parts of the Southwest! A very stylish home to match the cultural flavor of Taos! A great yard for outdoor enjoyment, especially for your fury children! The fireplace is a huge bonus for a long day out on the slopes! This place is in walking distance of everywhere you need to be! 15 minutes max to get you to outstanding restaurants and live music! Just a 35 minute drive to skiing as well!

  • What a lovely place- I hope to Visit again

    A2019-12-20T00:00:00Z
  • Vicky's place was great--the home was spacious and comfortably furnished. We especially enjoyed making a fire the two nights we were there. Vicky is great about clearly labeling everything, so if we had a question about what we should do, we almost certainly found a note explaining it in the binder or right on a wall. We did have trouble with the heat the first night, but once we messaged Vicky the following day, she got back to us within minutes, and the heat was fixed by the time we returned from our afternoon outing. It was the perfect place for us to stay during our honeymoon visit to Taos.

    Lauren2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • The historic adobe is located within a walking distance from the Taos square. The house is large, decorated beautifully and had everything we needed. The place is perfect for someone who likes to cook and grill. We enjoyed exploring the charms of Taos.

    Joshua2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Vicky’s home is very comfortable, very conveniently located and she was very responsive. Our pup appreciated the fully contained yard. The historic location is interesting, take a walk around the back of the house for full perspective.

  • We were so happy, cozy, and charmed by this casita. La Loma is the best location for walkers who want to park the car and live like locals. Live music, shops, restaurants and museums 10 minutes away. Excellent hosts took care of our every need.

    Suanne2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • Vicky’s place is beautiful-full of wonderful artwork. The house is in a very historical area within an easy and short walk to the center of Taos- The Plaza. We felt right at home and Vicky and her husband were very responsive to a heating problem. I really hope we can return someday. I highly recommend this place!

Walk to the Plaza, galleries, and the many festivals at Kit Carson park. Located in the heart of majestic Taos - a few doors down from the Mabel Dodge Lujan home on beautiful Morada Lane, this 1 bedroom 1 bath is a peaceful / fun place to stay within the historic district. Lower unit provides easy access to the outside. Giant vega ceilings, fresh paint and recently renovated. This space is ideal for a couple / someone traveling alone.
Downstairs fully furnished in the Historic District. Quiet 1 bedroom backing up to Kit Carson Park and the area. Be a part of the neighborhood - walking distance to everything. This is not rustic or roughing it, more like a modern loft This is the as close to the pulse of Taos as you can get in the town. The place comfortably fits two adults - if you are traveling with kids there is a pull out single bed or a queen size air mattress if you wanted to use them. The back entrance to Kit Carson Park is seconds away. Watch a baseball game or hear live music weeknights in the summer, go for a morning run, or just stroll to the cemetery. WiFi is strong.
  • Perfect location and space - we absolutely would return in a heartbeat.

  • Donna's place was awesome! She made sure any ice around the property had rocks for de-icing to make sure we were safe in her home. The studio was so cosy and clean. It has the authentic New Mexico feel and style. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to ski or visit Taos!

    Susan2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay here at Donna’s place. Can’t wait to stay there again

    Thomas2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot! Impeccably clean, Donna was super accommodating and easy access from town and right to the ski mountain.

    Lisa2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Donna was a prompt, responsive, and friendly host. We enjoyed our stay immensely, and the location was especially nice considering its equidistance between Ski Taos and Black Rock Hot Springs.

    Jesse2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I, and our border collie Raymond, had the best time in Arroyo Seco at Donna’s casita. The casita is absolutely adorable and so cozy! The views are amazing and the touches and decor are perfect. Donna’s communication was very quick- we were impressed all around. We will definitely be back!

    Jennifer2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay, warm, clean and nice, large efficiency casita, other than the kitchenette, which has room for about 1 person and definitely bring your own coffee pot, but it's enough to cook breakfast and small meals. A couple of things that I would have liked to know beforehand, mostly because we brought our dogs...there is no enclosed space for the dogs to play, and Donna indicated that the dogs on one side of the property are particularly aggressive, to the point of maiming and killing other dogs. The land for the casita is shared with the main house and another casita, so dogs are not allowed off leash to play. I wouldn't recommend walking to Arroyo Seco in winter, a little to far to be comfortable in the cold, but otherwise, the area is beautiful and the location was great for skiing!

  • What you see is what you get, and MORE... but you'll have to experience it to believe it. Views that offer entirely new perspectives, charming touches/hidden gems throughout, and lovely hosts who are always available, yet only as present as you'd like them to be. Thank you for everything Jo and Agnes!! We can't wait to return. *Note to future guests: the fully equipped kitchen includes a small collection of craft coffee machines, but be sure BYOB (Bring Your Own Beans), or you're in for a rude awakening, literally!*

  • This home and the surrounding views are stunning! It was perfectly located, with an easy drive to ski resorts and other attractions. It was especially warm and cozy for the winter, but I imagine this place is amazing year round. Agnes and Joaquin are also incredibly kind and provide tons of helpful local tips. Highly recommend!!

    Leah2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Could not imagine a better place to stay for our trip. It was close to the ski resort without being on the mountain, and even closer to the town. Joaquin and Agnes were great hosts; we will be staying here again next time!

    Bryson2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent property, lovely hosts, fantastic all the way around. Definitely recommend staying here!

    Lisa2020-02-09T00:00:00Z

    Nadia2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Star-filled night skies, a warm and sunny patio on a cold winter day, beautiful artwork, and a lovely bubble bath after a day of skiing. This place is everything it seems to be and more! Also highly recommend reading their Guide Book for first-timers to Taos - the restaurants and art galleries were all top notch. Will come back!!

    Emily2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Simply Stunning. This was one of the best AirBnB experiences we have had, and we have had a lot of amazing experiences. This home is incredible. The views do not quit. Every corner is thoughtfully curated. Unfortunately during our stay my husband got some bad altitude sickness and Joaquin and Agnes were absolute life savers. Quite literally. I am so deeply grateful for their king and thoughtful care. What to expect if you stay here: Jaw dropping views that become more magnificent every hour. Privacy and comfort in a very special home. An experience that will stay with you for many years to come. Hosts that are communicative , kind, and attentive when needed.

    Rebecca2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • In a word, magical. We had a very relaxing 4-night stay. It was a very peaceful environment, amazing views of nature and a comfortable living situation. We used the kitchen extensively as well as the sun room (which was quite warm even in the middle of winter). Joaquin was very friendly and showed us around the property. We would definitely stay here again. It has a remote feel but you're only a 10 minute drive into the heart of Taos.

A segment of a rural scene is juxtaposed within a family residential area, a short walk, about 15 minutes, (.5 miles), to the historic Taos Plaza, library, museums, Bent Street Shops, fine dining, farmers market and Kit Carson Park where many art fairs occur and music groups perform. It is about 19 miles to the Taos Ski Valley for exceptional skiing / snow boarding. Our charming duplex originated as a renovation from a typical Taos 1930’s ranch house. It accommodates three, is approximately 600 square feet and some guests have described it as “intimate yet spacious”. The modern feeling of spaciousness may be due to the ceiling angles, at the high point the ceiling is close to 10 feet and at its low point, it is close to 8 feet. Architecturally, the Artists Retreat is a balance of archways with contemporary linear angles. The walls are all hand troweled with a very light peach gypsum stucco that emits a modulated contemporary veneer adding to the tactile warm appearance. Upon entering guests pass under an arched passageway before approaching the living room. Guests wanting to prepare food will find the well equipped compact kitchen with a fridge, gas stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker & grinder, toaster oven, a variety of pots & pans, cutlery, utensils and dish ware. We provide organic coffee beans and an assortment of teas. Rather than decorating and embracing a single period or style, we have contrasted modern furnishings with vintage and contemporary wall art, creating spaces that exude charm, travel and warmth which are intended to make guests feel relaxed in a comfortable atmosphere. The brown stained concrete flooring is enhanced with a variety of area rugs. The living room couch transforms into a single pull out mattress for a second sleeping area. Facing the couch, is a large 42” HD TV with Direct TV service, DVD player and wifi. The bath room has a shower and tub, with high quality towels including a hair dryer. The stacked washer / dryer including detergent is convenient for those guests who have been on the road for a while and for those who may be traveling with children. The large bedroom is designed for ease and comfort featuring two sizable closets with luggage racks, a queen size bed, Serta pillows, and high quality deluxe linens. The mid century bed board includes a reading lamp and clock. An oak dresser with end tables and crystal lamps offers ample storage. The french doors in the bedroom welcome a sunny space that opens to a private tree lined back yard and intimate patio where guests can enjoy coffee or tea in the morning or celebrate the evening with a glass of wine. The patio is situated in a private back yard with shade trees and a sitting area for four. Come summer, shade wings cover the sitting area for additional coverage. The back yard fencing, a traditional northern New Mexico "coyote fence”, made from "latillas" ( aspen poles ) surrounds the back yard giving a sense of privacy. Natural gas heating with thermostat controls. No air conditioning but two table fans provide plenty of cross ventilation in summer. Designated parking in front of the duplex accommodates a minimum of two cars. For guests arriving in the evening, an activated front light automatically turns on for convenience. This is a smoke-free premises. There is NO SMOKING permitted in the unit or on the property. This includes e-cigarettes, "vaping" or other forms of inhalants. No candles. We cannot accomodate pets as some guests have allergic reactions to pets. If you are visiting friends or family in Taos, their pets cannot be brought to the property. We do not permit parties, gatherings or events of any kind without prior approval of the host. In essence, we offer a well-appointed home that speaks of art and a warm and welcoming environment for those that stay.
Quiet long established family residential neighborhood within walking distance to plaza, restaurants, galleries, library, Harwood Museum and historic museums and farmers market. Wonderful view of Taos Mountain from the front of the property.
  • We enjoyed staying at Patty and Juan’s place. It was a great base for our ski trip - a quick walk to town, an easy drive to and from the ski area, as well as a quiet spot to relax after a day of skiing. Also, there is a fine view of the mountain out the front door. We highly recommend this spot.

  • We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the proximity to the town square. It was a 10-minute walk and a great way to work up our appetite before dinner downtown. It was an easy drive to the Taos Ski Valley as well.

  • Juan & Patty were excellent hosts! They responded quickly and the space had everything it said it did. They left detailed instructions for check-in/out that were easy to follow. The location is walking distance from the plaza and only a quick drive to the mountain for skiing/snowboarding. I would definitely book with them again!

The space is very tidy, and decorated nicely. We loved meeting Juan and Patty! They are the sweetest couple, and helped make our trip quite memorable. I would definitely recommend staying here. Perfect for the weekend get away!

  • The apartment was clean and nicely decorated. There were thoughtful touches throughout that made it a very comfortable place to stay. The location is perfect with the plaza only a few minutes away by foot. The property manager, Laura, was very friendly and was quick to answer any questions we had. I would 100% recommend this Airbnb and will definitely try to rent it again the next time we’re in Taos.

  • Nice, Clean, short drive 1 mile to Plaza and on the road to Taos Ski Valley 30 min drive. Big nice table for dinners, gas stove and room to cook. Two bathrooms, one shower. Sid’s Market is close enough to walk to but probably should drive to rest of Taos stores and restaurants.

  • Perfect little adobe for the base of our ski adventure in Taos.

    Brian2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This house was great. Everything as advertised. It's super convenient to get around town.

    James2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really great rental. Although it’s central to town it’s private, charming, sparkling clean, stocked with basic cabinet essentials- Salt sugar oil etc. extra sheets towels comforters etc. Also the winning combination of the saloon doors partitioning off bathroom areas and bedrooms having their own door to the driveway/ porch means much more privacy for guests.

  • Stayed 2 nights with a group of 3 over Presidents’ Day weekend while skiing at Taos Ski Valley. House is conveniently located near some great restaurants and only 30-35 minutes from the ski valley. Was a very comfortable and stylish place. Good value and nice place.

    David2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We were in Taos for skiing. Rhea's place was right on the way to Ski Taos. The house is next to the highway, but it was very quiet, sparkling clean and we had plenty of room. I sleep in the laundry room and the bed was very comfortable. I loved the bathrooms!

    Robin2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
