A rare opportunity to stay in a huge first floor period apartment in one of England's most beautiful cities. Beautifully restored by us and with easy access to the city centre and countryside beyond. Free on-street parking and a space saved for you on request.
Ready
CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: We are open and able to offer the perfect place for social distancing, working from home or just different 4 walls. Rates are reduced and any cancellations are offered free to NHS front line staff. As we offer an entirely private apartment we are still able to offer a beautiful but rather different experience. Whether your holiday was cancelled or you wish to self isolate or work from another location or just sick of the same four walls. We can offer a car to apartment welcome and will greet you personally with a smile not a hand shake. Myself and Daniel clean and maintain the apartment personally to the highest standards and we use antibacterial treatments on all surface, particularly regularly touched areas. We are also laundering linen and towels at a high temperature of 90c. Hand wash is provided as always The apartment has Netflix/Tv and fast broadband suitable working from home or just play. The kitchen has all you need and a supermarket is literally 5 mins walk away. If you decide to venture out on foot, beautiful and quiet countryside and canal walks are just 5 mins away As we speak Bath and attractions and most restaurants and pubs remain open and should be lovely and quiet for once. This may change but the delivery services in Bath will happily bring the best local restaurant to your door. (We have an intercom so can be left at the door)
  • Great apartment. Very clean great amenities - home from home!

  • Daniel and Anna's place is a perfect place for a base to explore Bath. Daniel met us upon check-in and showed us round the beautiful stylish house. Breakfast Infront of those massive windows was a great start to each day. Would stay again :)

  • If you're lucky enough to find it available, book it! Communication was perfect, Daniel is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The flat is simply perfect and spotless. Shower is great, bed is comfortable, living room incredible. We had parking and they even let us park after our booking was over. We were late to free up the parking space but Daniel being a great dude was understanding. The flat is close to everything (15 min walk to center) and there are great pubs around. The view is amazing. Possibly the best Airbnb experience we had so far and we've been using it for 4 years. Book it now!

  • Daniel and Anna's apartment is a stunning space! It's in a great location well tucked away from the crowdedness of the town centre, situated in a lovely local neighbourhood with easy access to shops, bars, restaurants and also the more secluded areas. We enjoyed walking everywhere from here and waking up to the spectacular view over the fields everyday. The apartment has wonderful period features, natural light throughout and is spacious, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. It has all the amenities you could need and is decorated with many thoughtful touches. The hospitality was exceptional - we felt so welcomed and enjoyed having great chats with Daniel. All the local tips made our stay even more memorable! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique and special getaway to Bath.

  • The apartment was just as lovely as the pictures suggested and Daniel and Anna provided much appreciated additional details including reserving a parking spot, and that amazing bread - thanks!! It's a brilliant starting point to explore all Bath has to offer and we thoroughly enjoyed the walk to the city centre each morning and afternoon, getting to know the area. It's a beautiful city, even in the stormy rain(!), and we are really looking forward to staying here again in the future and perhaps walking into the countryside as Daniel suggested. We would heartily recommend staying here!

    Sophie2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful apartment set in an ideal location. Daniel and Anna were great hosts with lots of local knowledge. Would definitely return to Bath and stay here again.

    Mark2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our few days in Bath and found Daniel and Anna’s apartment exactly as described. The whole apartment is lovely and warm with masses of hot water and all the facilities needed for a relaxing stay. We particularly appreciated the reserved parking space, super-comfy bed, great view over the city and delicious home made sourdough loaf! Thank you!

We self built the Little Trooper in 2017 with the intention of achieving a unique, fun and comfortable oasis hid away up a private road in the middle of the City giving a holiday feel to escape the fast pace of City life. The house has 3 bedrooms that sleeps up to 9 adults and is intended to cater for large families visiting our beautiful city. I think the pictures say it all really and as you will see the house is kitted out with all the extras and luxuries to please everyone.
The area has lots to offer without having to jump into a car. The local newly refurbished pub is just 50m away and has live entertainment most weekends. 100m away is the nature reserve-Troopers Hill, this is well known locally for being one of the best viewpoints of the City. A 10 minute walk will get you to the local high st, here you will find a great selection of pubs, cafes and great restaurants. A 20 Minute walk gets you to an amazing hid away riverside bar Beeses tea gardens, the problem is that its on the opposite side of the river.. however get this.. they operate there own small boat that will pick you up and take you to the bar and then take you back for a fee of 50 pence!! this is a must see if the sun is shinning!!
  • Highly recommended.

  • Richard's home housed our party of 7 comfortably. The home was also extremely clean. Would definitely recommend to any groups needing a place just outside Bristol.

    James2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely house with great little touches. Clean, modern and spacious. Richard was friendly and the overall stay was very pleasant.

    Sam2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Richard was a lovely host who was very helpful and polite. Upon arrival the house was spotless. We also appreciated a few extra details Richard had made like fresh flowers, champagne, chocolates ect... Richard clearly made a lovely effort and really went the extra mile. The house itself is amazing, very modern and a lot bigger in person. We really appreciate the hard work that’s been put into the house. Not a bad word to say. Thank you very much for our stay.

  • Amazing for family to reconnect

    Susan2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house, clean, plenty of space, exactly as we’d hoped for. Really enjoyable stay, would highly recommend.

    Amanda2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The house is absolutely beautiful. There is plenty of space for all while still feeling cosy and warm. Despite being in a residential area the house and parking area are very safe and private which means the hot tub can be used properly! We were a party of 5 and we had more than enough room. Richard had provided a number of lovely touches like chocolate/ Prosecco on arrival, use of the coffee machine and a number of games available to play in the cupboard. We also loved making use of the fire. Will definitely return if we are visiting Bristol/ Bath again! :)

Our lovely studio flat is situated on the first floor of Rochfort Place, Bathwick Street, a beautiful Georgian Bath town house which dates back to the late 1700s. With the original floor to ceiling windows and wedding doors, it is a truly magnificent studio.
Rochfort Place is just a 10 minute walk to the centre of Bath with its fantastic shopping and restaurants. You can spend time in the many museums, Roman Baths, or relax in the modern thermae hot spa and stroll to the world famous Royal Crescent. It is short 3 minute walk from Great Pultney Street and the Holburne Museum located in the stunning Sydney Gardens with the picturesque Kennett and Avon canal running through it. You can hire bikes, boats - the options are endless. The National Trust Prior Park Gardens are easily accessible. We have the Theatre Royal which has a varied programme and worth seeing what is on during your stay. The terrace which leads directly from the kitchen is a wonderful place to sit and reflect on your stay in Bath. Bath Spa train station is only a 15 minute walk through the city centre which provides hourly trains to London in 90 minutes and regular trains to the City of Bristol in 10 minutes. Modern comforts include a bathroom, a self-catered kitchen, wi-fi, a television and speakers. A rarity for a flat in central Bath, our studio has outdoor space which consists of a private balcony with table and chairs. Due to the balcony and safety, the apartment is not suitable for children/ toddlers - babe in arms only. There is plenty of street parking available and you will be given a permit for your car on arrival if required. We provide all bedding, towels, hairdryer etc to make your stay comfortable - a home from home. Although you are spoilt for choice with shops and facilities on your doorstep there is a welcome basket of a few things to get you started. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
  • Stylish flat with quick access to the center. Excellent host!

Welcome to "Bristol Little House". Our private self contained space benefits from it's own private entrance and free street parking so you can come and go as you please. This charming space was newly built in July 2017. Make full use of our kitchen, spacious open living space and en-suite. Take advantage of Sky and Netflix on the flat screen TV and fast Wi-Fi. We are on the otherside of the garden - far enough for you to have your own space but close enough if you want a friendly chat.
This modern, converted space is equipped with: Tea, coffee and sugar. An oven/microwave and double hob, Essential such as bin bags, washing up equipment, shampoo, conditioner and towels. King size sofa bed, Complimentary Netflix and Sky (with Sky Movies) and has a private entrance.
This neighbourhood is very beautiful. Just a short 10 minute walk to the local anemities, such as Porto Lounge; a cosy, friendly cafe/restaurant overlooking Victoria Park. An incredible authentic Italian, La Piazza 1, is a delightful place to eat. There are great walks around this area and many parks such as Oldbury Court Estate, and my favourite Snuff Mills. Perfect for afternoon strolls.
  • Maria’s place is beautifully put together, with everything thought of, and more. Clean, warm, well equipped, and responsive hosting. Lovely

  • Brilliant ! Would stay again without hesitation. The bed is really comfy too.

    Laura2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfy bed! Lovely hosts and extremely clean. The walk to the studio is really dark and further than expected but accommodation lovely x

    Caroline2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Maria was such a great host and responded very quickly when I had a few things I needed help with. I was anxious about staying somewhere on my own for the first time however Maria made me feel at ease and I had a wonderful stay. As a student Paramedic on shift this was a perfect place for me to stay when starting and finishing at all hours, meaning I didn’t have to worry about disturbing anyone. I will definitely be staying here again in the near future!

    Elin2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little place with everything you need! Quick responses from Maria and in an ideal location. Would highly recommend for a visit to Bristol :)

    Megan2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Would highly recommend. Great location, was so easy to get into the city centre in about 15 mins. Lots of free parking available. The place itself is gorgeous and cosy. Super clean, very warm (thanks to the dyson fan) and the smart TV with sky/netflix is a really nice touch. A fully kitted out kitchen (including some very yummy bread and wine) meant we didn’t have to bring anything ourselves which was very useful. Maria wasn’t there herself but she was extremely quick with responses. I unfortunately broke a wine glass by accident and she was so so lovely about it. Will definitely be back!

    Ray2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic little space on short notice for such a great price, Maria was very helpful and checking in and out couldn't have been easier. Will be visiting again soon for sure

    Alex2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Such a gem of a place. I cannot fault Maria as a host, she was so attentive and replied quickly if we needed anything. The space was sparkling clean, cosy and homely! I absolutely loved the sofa bed, it’s definitely the best place to chill out and relax! Thanks!!

with a spacious kitchen - large open space dining/ social area You are less than a mile from the centre and have the Luxury of private parking which is highly sought after in Bath! This home has recently been decorated and it's the perfect escape in Bath
The house is “hen friendly” only tame hens are welcomed. This house is an original Victorian property that has been recently renovated to a high modern standard. The property is set over three stories and has a large open plan kitchen/ social area as well as a Separate dining area. There is plenty of space for up to seven guests. There is a modern garden that is a wonderful sun trap and of course that off street Parking not a permit where you have to fight for a spot if you can even find one! You have parking for on car but if you have two cars you can block yourself in on the road so can accommodate two cars. There house spans over three stories. The house is really versatile and works for both families and groups of freinds. The property is ideal for families or small groups of friends not fit for stag or hen weekends unless very TAME. The house is in a residential suburb and it's very important to us that we respect the neighbours and the local community, no anti- social or noise pollution will be tolerated. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking with washing machine/ dryer /dishwasher . There is a large dinning table for guests. The kitchen has bi- folding doors leading onto the garden and a lovely seating area for warmer days.
Oldfield park is a busy suburb right on the edge on the city. It's home to moorland road which is full on independent cafes and restaurants as well as lots of shops if you want to stay local. Less than a five minutes there is a local Sainsbury's/ co-op/ threshers. Nail and beauty salons/ barbers/ The velo lounger serves food all throughout the day and cocktails too! The grumpy baker coffee shop As well as a lloyds and NatWest bank Just outside the house a few minutes walk is a large park (sandpits) for children. Perfect for families. We are also next to the two tunnels cycle path which links Bath perfect for cyclists/ walkers and runners Please Ensure this is the right location for you we love it so we are sure you will too but we are not smack bang in the centre just on the outskirts of the city centre as stated under 1mile it's an easy walk and fantastic public transport. parking in Bath is very tricky and expensive so we would advise to park locally

This lovely apartment is perfect for exploring the sights of Bath. The living room is spacious and light and the bed room sumptuous. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a supermarket just next door. A huge bonus is the free on street parking.
The 2nd floor apartment is perfect for couples looking for a wonderful getaway to Bath. Now with new 32" TV! The location is perfect for visitors wanting to explore the historic city of Bath and the surrounding countryside. The centre of Bath is just a 15 minute walk into the heart of the city, the walk in is via the London Road which is great for exploring Bath's renowned antique shops and the artisan shops of Walcot Street. The apartment also benefits from easy access to the stunning Kennet and Avon canal, which can be explored via a meadow at the rear of the apartment. Unusually for Bath, Kensington Place has free on street parking, as does Grosvenor Place just up the road so although parking isn't 100% guaranteed there are almost always spaces available. Locally there are a number of great pubs including the King William and The Beaufort. Morrison's supermarket is just 2 minutes away. The space consists of living room with dining table to enjoy any meals you wish to eat in the apartment, as well as TV and super comfy sofa, bedroom with double bed made up with fresh linen and a shower room. The kitchen is well equipped with cooker, fridge, kettle, toaster etc so perfect if you want to eat in. The apartment is self catering but we provide the basics like milk, tea, coffee etc.
For places to eat and drink we provide a list or our favourite places, however if you don't want to venture into the centre of the city the King William pub (which is excellent) and Nourish are both right on your doorstep. If you want to stay in and cook Morrison's supermarket (and 24 hour cash machine) is a 2 minute walk away. There is also a petrol station on the London Road. There is so much to see and do in Bath, the great thing about it is that as the city is so small you can see all the sights easily on foot. Some of the high points are the Royal Crescent, the Circus, Roman baths, the Abbey, the Holborne museum. The list is endless! The shopping is also great if you want to see quirky independents, for this I'd recommend Walcot Street, Bartlett Street and George Street. Larkhall: (a ‘village' centre in Bath) containing among other things, two convenience stores (McColl's and Co-op), a butchers, greengrocers, deli, pub and even a theatre, is just a 5 minute walk away (turn right outside the apartment, cross the road, take the second left up St Saviour's Road and keep going until you reach Larkhall). There is also easy access from the apartment onto the Kennet and Avon Canal path. You can head towards Bradford-on-Avon for a lovely walk and stop off at the George in at Bathampton Mill for refreshments! The apartment is off the main road into Bath, the bedroom does have secondary glazing so blocks a lot of the noise but please do expect some noise- it is a busy city after all!
  • Great apartment. Spotlessly clean. Wonderful location

  • Fantastic couple of days in Bath

    Tom2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • A beautifully decorated and very clean flat situated a 15/20min walk from the city centre. The views from the living room were beautiful and it’s location next to Morrison’s was very handy. Nice to explore an area just outside the city centre, great local fish and chip shop and King William pub within walking distance. Sanity Studio pottery was also close by and a very fun evening activity! Flat had everything we needed and the sofa was very comfy!!

    Jessica2020-02-23T00:00:00Z

A fabulously stylish, centrally located one bedroom large 1st floor apartment. A high ceilinged sumptuous interior designed space built in 1789 for Samuel Ward, Salt Merchant of Bath and surrounds. It's the perfect base for a romantic & indulgent weekend away.
With far reaching views over the hills of Bath & Prior Park from the luxury super king size bedroom at the rear of the apartment, and views up and down the Grandeur of Great Pulteney Street from the front, a stay in The Salt Merchant's will be a memorable few days away for you.
Great Pulteney Street is arguably the grandest Georgian street in Bath and only a 5 minute level stroll from Central Bath.
  • This is a great apartment. It’s our second stay and we’d definitely return for more. The street is beautiful and has such easy access to the city just over the bridge. It’s a glamorous space with comfortable beds and an all important parking permit!

We have a delightful, privately accessed annexe for you to enjoy your stay. It has a double sofa bed and enough room to add an additional single mattress for an extra guest. There is a large TV and a single wardrobe. We provide you with your own kitchenette and breakfast bar consisting of a kettle, toaster and microwave, washer/dryer. We will provide you with all the basics you need for a comfortable stay - tea, coffee, sugar, milk and breakfast bits and bobs and some toiletries.
The Snug is in walking distance of lovely pubs, restaurants, shops and woodland walks and a 15-30 min car or bus journey into central Bristol. If you are staying for work we are situated on the right side of Bristol for the Ministry of Defence, Aerospace, Rolls Royce, The Science Park and UWE to name but a few. Of course we also offer you a stylish and comfortable self contained place to stay.
Downend is a leafy, green affluent suburb on the north east side of Bristol. Downend village, as it’s known, has a collection of shops and services and a number of acclaimed eatery’s and cafes. There is a real feel of community and there are many venues offering community based classes and fitness opportunities. What I love the most is it’s lovely woodlands and walks along the Frome Valley walkway - just opposite The Snug is the entrance to Britannia Woods.

  • My girlfriend and I had a lovely stay here for Valentine’s Day, would recommend as a place to stay when visiting Bath or if you’re locals like us as a place to stay for a special occasion. Although the location is perfect for seeing the sights of Bath, it is close to a nightclub (Po Na Na) which meant it was very noisy during the early hours of the morning!

'The Loft' at Rose Cottage is a newly refurbished, self contained room with en-suite shower room. It is the top floor of a separate annex with French doors looking out into the tree tops and view beyond, situated on a quiet lane on the edge of the village of Upton Cheyney, enjoying a very rural setting. We are 6 miles from Bath, (with a Park and Ride very handy) and 8 miles from Bristol. Your booking will include a continental breakfast each day and you are welcome to sit out in our garden.
The Loft is a light and airy room, the top of an annex building at our rural, village home. The room contains a double bed, table and chairs, TV, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The en-suite has a new power-shower. Our cottage is right next to The Loft building and we will bring a continental breakfast to you each day at a time to suit you. There are facilities in the room to make hot drinks.
The village of Upton Cheyney is a quiet Cotswold village, very well situated for access to both Bath and Bristol, the M4 junction is less than 15 minutes away. From The Loft there are many lovely county walks you can take, for cyclists the Bristol to Bath cycle path is accessible about 1 mile away.
  • Rona and Nige were incredible hosts. The loft is in a great location, about 15 minutes drive away from the centre of Bath so very easy to get to. The location is great for morning walks and is so peacefully quiet. The continental breakfast was delicious and was brought straight to the door. Communication was never an issue, especially when we got slightly lost upon arrival. We couldn't recommend the loft enough and it's quickly become one of our favourites

The loft space was clean, homely and much more spacious than it appeared online. A window from where you can see breathe -taking view and sky full of stars, plies of books laying by the bedside, fairy lights and all. This place is exactly like that. I was so amazed and felt so blessed every morning waking up. The household is full of love and care too. The warm and homey atmosphere makes me feel safe and belonged. Even though Im a greedy human wanting to have the room just to be my room, O’well, I decided to be a bigger person and recommend it, highly!

  • A wonderful place to stay in Bath. Laura is an experienced and welcoming host. I felt at home. The location is great too, close to shops and a beautiful stroll to the city through parkland.

    Anne2019-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Laura was incredibly welcoming and helpful and I enjoyed staying at her house so much. I felt safe and she helped me with absolutely anything I needed!

  • Really great stay! Nice friendly hostess and great location near the royal Crescent. Also close to the city for about 15-20 mins walk.

  • Laura is a great host! She is very friendly and communicative. She can give you helpful advises about the city and the region. The room and house is as written in the description. The time at Laura's place has been wonderful. I highly recommend her and would book her Airbnb again.

  • Laura is a wonderful host and made me feel at home right away. I’ll definitely stay with her again if I am back in Bath!

    Laura2019-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Laura is a great host and made me feel very welcome! I stayed in Bath for a number of weeks and felt at home during my stay, able to come and go as I pleased. It felt like staying with friends rather than a stranger. The attic room was lovely and had enough space to store my clothes and suitcases. This size is perfect for one person who can manage a flight of stairs. There were clean towels, sheets and toiletries all ready and waiting which was great to find after a long journey. Laura’s home is beautiful with touches of her own style in the decoration. The house was always cosy and warm with plenty of hot water, much appreciated after long walks in the snow. The house is a short 15 minute walk into the city centre (which was perfect for me) and is next door to Royal Victoria Park. Laura’s home offered a great place to call home during my time in Bath and I’d highly recommend her as a host. I will definitely be back!

*** In light of the current situation, we have come to the decision to cancel all short term bookings within the next 12 weeks (until the end of June 2020). We have carefully considered the information and advice that we have been provided with by the government and feel that this is in the best interest of our guests, family and wider community. We are a business that welcomes people from across the country and we feel that we have a responsibility to minimise this for the time being. As a small business, this isn’t a decision that we have made lightly and we are continuing to think of ways that we can keep the business up and running, whilst also minimising any risks to our guests and family at Collins Farm. Going forward, in order to reduce footfall, we will only be accepting bookings that exceed a 14 day period and will be introducing a minimum 72 hour gap between bookings in order to carry out a thorough deep clean of the entire property. Guests will be able to check in to The Dovecote without any contact with ourselves, although we are always at the end of the phone should you need us. We apologise for any inconvenience that this causes*** Look out onto open fields from the main bedroom, while French doors lead to a private patio. This detached converted dovecote features vaulted ceilings and original walls of pale local stone, with an electric wood burner and Smart TV for cosy evenings in.
The beautiful city of Bath with its 18th century Georgian architecture, original Roman baths and impressive abbey is just 8 miles away. Other points of interest within an hour’s drive include Glastonbury, Wells, Stonehenge and Longleat Safari Park. Local shops, pubs and dining can be found in the neighbouring villages of Wick and Pucklechurch - each less than 1½ miles away. Shops and pubs 1½ miles. 4 steps to entrance. • I stayed for a night with my partner in the 'cosy room.' It was small but perfect for us. The bed was comfy, the room was really warm when we arrived, there was enough space to hang and store clothes. The house is lovely and really clean, plenty of space for cooking and eating in the kitchen/dinning area. If you're visiting Bath it's a really great location, I went to uni in Bath and used to live in Oldfield Park and it's peaceful, close to the town centre and has shops just monies away. If you're coming by train you could go to Oldfield Park Station or Bath Spa and get a bus from town. We walked to and from town and it takes about 20-25 minutes. Check in was easy, the hosts respond quickly and are helpful. The only slight negative was that our room was directly next to the bathroom so I was woken up early by some one using the shower but that's just dependent on who else is staying.

The Shepherds Hut is the ultimate romantic rural retreat for couples who are looking to get away from it all. Idyllically located looking out over the fields that line the River Avon and the beautiful rolling green hills beyond up to Kelston Round Hill– the Shepherds Hut is perfectly cosy and compact, offering a couple (+ 1 well-behaved dog*) all the comforts you would expect from bricks and mortar within a 20ft traditional shepherds hut, including a wood burner and outdoor hot tub!
INTRODUCTION *NOTE: 1 well-behaved dog is welcome at the Shepherds Hut at an additional cost of £30 per dog. Please let us know if you will be bringing a dog and we will then revise your booking confirmation. Set within the owner’s 230-acre arable farm, the five outstanding properties that comprise Avon Farm Estate are decorated to a high standard, and each boasts a large open plan living area (except for the cute and compact Shepherds Hut!) There are goats and chickens on the farm, so if you are up early enough, you can help yourself to some fresh eggs or wander around the stables. Once you have settled into your Avon Farm holiday cottage you can decide what you want to do, probably a mix of relaxing in your comfortable space and testing out the hot tub, enjoying the flora and fauna surrounding the farm and just soaking up the atmosphere. However, if you wish to explore you can walk around the estate and stroll along the Avon River to the local public house on the riverbank, or for the more active, you can hire a bicycle from Clive and Serena (pre-booking required) head down the cycle path, which was once the old train track, to either Bath or Bristol – only 2 minutes from your accommodation, how green is that? Both cities are full of interesting places to visit and activities for all ages! The Shepherds Hut has been designed efficiently to maximise space and provide everything that you will need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The space is bright, airy and modern with a half glass-panel door and plenty of windows. Step up into the beautifully furnished main kitchenette/living area, and you will find your cosy double sleeping compartment at one end and surprisingly spacious shower room at the other. Every part of the hut has been created to maximise storage space, and within the various underbed or overhead cupboards you’ll find all manner of utensils – it’s all there! Guests have access to the 230 acres of land, which includes the River Avon, where you can do a spot of fishing (a licence is required). Take a walk through the farmland and you reach the local pub, which is situated on the bank of the river less than 1 mile away. The farm is also 2 minutes away from the Bristol and Bath cycle track, perfect for cyclists and walkers, and the property is close to Saltford Sailing Club. Surrounded by open countryside, Saltford is also known for its history and has a conservation area, with a restored brass mill (dating to 1720), an old manor house and a church with a Saxon tower. Just 6 miles away is the vibrant heritage city of Bath, which boasts the famous Roman baths, Thermae Bath spa, and the famous Royal Crescent, which is one of Bath’s most iconic landmarks. There are also several National Trust areas nearby, including Dyrham Park and Stourhead House. Hen parties are permitted; however, we ask that Avon Farm rules are respected (see below) and where possible members of the group travel together to avoid extra traffic on the farm lane. Avon Farm rules: respect the 10mph limit around the farm; keep to the 20mph limit on Avon Lane; no outside noise after 11pm; no hot tub use after 10pm; and lastly, please notify the owners if any outside services have been booked (e.g. a chef).   FACILITIES  Sleeps 2 in a double bed sleeping compartment  1 bathroom with walk-in shower, WC and washbasin  Parking  Gravelled immediate outdoor area and grass  Wood burner – 1 bag of logs, fire starter + lighter provided between Oct – April. Additional logs can be purchased from Clive and Serena for £5 per bag  Dog friendly – x1  Outdoor firepit  Private hot tub  Robes + slippers for both guests  All bed linen, bath towels and tea towels provided  Travel hairdryer (stored in cupboard to left of kitchen window above bench seat.)  Welcome Pack – bread, cereal, biscuits, jam, butter, milk, tea, coffee, sugar  Cleaning and washing up equipment, liquid, bin bags, kitchen paper  Bathroom starter pack: hand soap, toilet paper  Toiletries – shower gel, shampoo, conditioner  Heating and hot water  LG TV  Kitchenette - Fridge with small freezer compartment, microwave with a grill, toaster + kettle. FULL DESCRIPTION Inside Kitchenette/Living Area Step up two steps straight into the main space of the Shepherds Hut, a delightful area with cream panelled walls and wooden flooring, a cosy wood burner, window seat and fold-down dining table and chairs. The kitchenette is ideal for preparing simple meals, offering guests a Belfast sink, wooden worksurfaces, a microwave with a grill, toaster, fridge with freezer box and a kettle. A two-hob electric cooker is available on request. Bed Separated from the rest of the space by a curtain, the bedroom compartment is cosy and private, offering guests a comfy double bed complete with wall-mounted flat screen TV. Shower Room A surprisingly spacious shower room, featuring a WC, washbasin and walk-in shower. Outside Guests at the Shepherds Hut have plenty of outdoor space, with a private hot tub, fire pit, charcoal BBQ, outdoor dining table + chairs and outdoor storage area for BBQ equipment. The Shepherds Hut benefits from some of the loveliest views on the whole estate – what better way to end a day than enjoying a BBQ and drink facing out over the luscious green hills?
Enjoying the Farm and its Facilities One of the biggest benefits about staying on a farm is there’s loads to see and do without even leaving the site, it’s great for families, friends and couples alike! Avon Farm Cottages have secured fishing rights for their stretch of the river, just a short walk from the holiday cottages. Guests are welcome to fish in the river, own equipment and licence required. Bicycles are available to hire from Clive and Serena. Please help yourselves to chicken eggs.  The chickens are beyond the car park through the opening onto the fields Not far from the chickens is a family of goats.  They like being fed vegetables, fruit, even bananas! Walk past the past the goats, follow the path down to the river and take a riverside walk either way along the public foot paths. The horses do not belong to the farm and are looked after by their owners who come daily to see them.  Please do not feed the horses, but they are always happy for a stroke on the nose and a hello. Next to the chickens is the poly tunnel, and when there is fresh produce, you’ll find some in your welcome pack, and can refill this when there is plenty. Feeling green fingered?  The grounds of the farm are always in need to something, so feel free to help us keep the farm looking lovely.  Whether that be a bit of weeding, dead heading, or just advice, we will welcome any help! All around this field are many blackberry bushes, please help yourselves when they are ripe. There are other tenants on the farm that either live with us in the converted barns, or just let a stable and field.  They are all very nice, and always happy to answer any questions! Local amenities Saltford is a vibrant community of more than 4,000 residents situated on the A4 between Keynsham and Bath, alongside the River Avon and the Bath-Bristol cycle-path. Its location makes Saltford the perfect hub for activities in the Avon Valley. The village is surrounded by open countryside, with lanes, riverside walks and lovely views across the Avon Valley. Saltford is widely known for its history, with the ‘old village’ lying within a Conservation Area and including St Mary’s Church (over 1,000 years old with a Saxon tower); Saltford Manor House, a Grade II listed building estimated to date to the Norman era and thought to be the oldest continuously occupied private house in England; and the restored Ancient Brass Mill (1720), which is a gem of industrial heritage. At its heyday, the Brass Mill was at the cutting edge of technological and economic development. Today Saltford is a thriving community of over 200 successful businesses, many run as work-from-home enterprises. Saltford is also known for its wealth of activities and community involvement, all centred on the Saltford Community Association. There is a thriving Saltford Environment Group and Saltford has been awarded Fairtrade Village Status. • Such an amazing weekend very relaxing, beautiful scenery, amenities were fantastic and hot tub well that was the icing on the cake - was beautifully hot on these cold evenings. Considering a yearly visit with my wife - highly recommend

    Greg2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very relaxing stay - hosts thought of some nice details including wine, bath robes and slippers and the hot tub was even on when we arrived.

    Melanie2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Such an amazing hit with amazing scenery. Very easy communication, lovely staff, including an adorable welcome from Blue the dog. Loved it so much, we stayed an extra day. Loved the extra touches of prosecco... and the hot tub was unbelievable... coming back definitely!

  • Great place for a little break for my wife and me. Had an amazing time, highly recommend for people

  • ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS PLACE! Would 100% recommend! Amazing views and an amazing place to stay! Would definitely return back here! The Shepherds Hut was amazingly clean and cosy! The bed was comfy and it was very warm inside throughout the day and night! The jacuzzi was perfectly relaxing and in the perfect spot to look up at the views and the stars at night time! Very romantic and it feels like you’re in the middle of no where with all the privacy in the world! The stables near by were very pretty and it was lovely to see the horses, goats and chickens and also being able to walk around the grounds! This place is 10 minutes away from a huge car park near the main town where you can walk around to see the amazing shops and also the Christmas market! (Depending what time of year you go of course!) This was a surprise trip for my partners birthday and he fell in love with it the same as me when I booked it! My high expectations of this place were definitely matched and we had the best stay ever! THANK YOU!

    Daisy2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Really amazing place to stay, very romantic and has everything you need!

    Danielle2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Characterful and cosy in a BEAUTIFUL location. It’s got the perfect balance of feeling like it’s in the middle of no where whilst still being within walking distance of shops and lovely pubs. The hut itself was clean and well stocked with a welcome pack and everything you could possibly need to make the stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. It felt very secluded and private despite being on farm, but we knew we could call our hosts or pop up to the office if we needed anything. The BBQ, hot tub and fire pit worked brilliantly in the wintery weather. An all round AMAZING stay! Can’t wait to go back. Thanks!

    Laura Jane2019-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place to stay for a long weekend! Peaceful and quiet. Scenery was amazing and the farm was beautiful and love hearing the horses in the morning. I would 100% recommend and definitely come back here again!

  • The flat was great! Very nicely decorated, clean, comfortable, and had very nice touches all around. There was enough food for a nice breakfast, as well as snacks. There was also plenty of entertainment (dvds, games, books, etc) for when you get back from a long day of walking around the town and just want to relax. Matt was great at communicating throughout, and was readily available had something gone wrong. We had a very good experience staying here. 100% recommended!

This cosy little room for one person has a fabulous view of the city and catches the early morning sunshine. Close to the city centre, public transport, nice walks in the countryside and by the river around Bath. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe with a good sense of community. It is about 40 minutes walk (depending on how fast you walk!), or a short bus ride into the centre of Bath. Also a variety of food shops 5 minutes walk away. Great if you’re looking for a comfy stay and quiet location.
The house is also occupied by one other person, my lodger, as well as me and my cat. I provide cereal, tea and coffee, for use in your room, but you will need to buy any other breakfast items you would like. Bed linen is clean and washed for every guest and dried on the line if the weather permits. However, I do feel life is too short to iron sheets! So if creases bother you, please be assured the sheets are very clean. Please note I have a cat, who is quite fluffy, so if you have a cat allergy, be aware of this. She will probably keep well out of your way, being slightly timid, unless you offer her some cat treats! In Twerton High St, 5 minutes walk away, there is a convenience store (open until 10pm) which has a cash machine inside.
Twerton is in some ways "the real Bath", where the ordinary citizens live. There’s a good sense of community and it’s very safe and quiet, whilst maybe not as beautiful as Georgian Bath’s city centre! It is however very convenient for the centre of town and has a wide range of food stores in walking distance. There are several very nice pub restaurants within a very short drive into the countryside if you preferred to eat out somewhere quieter than the many city centre venues. My garden backs onto Bath City Farm, which provides a pleasant green space to walk or run in.
  • Very nice place, with bus station at 5mn. Felicity can gives you good adress and is very welcoming.

    Clémence2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Felicity's was great. She was very welcoming, as was her lodger. The room itself is perfectly fine for one person and offers everything one needs for a couple of nights, including coffee and tea. The entire house was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the area very quiet.

  • Felicity is a very thoughtful host- she upgraded my room to a double room and the bed is very soft and comfy. I stayed at hers for 10 days, absolutely amazing experience! The house is very close to supermarkets like lido, MS etc (within 10 mins walk) and 5mins walk to bus stop, another 10mins to the centre by bus. A very quiet cat called Mishka will also keep you in good company:)

  • Our stay was great! Felicity is really nice. We didnt meet her when we arrived but it wasn't problem at all, because she gave us all the instructions how to get to our room. The area is rich in big outdoor spaces within easy reach, the nearest being a 5 minute walk. There's Trooper’s Hill Nature Reserve, and the path along the river that leads to the Eastwood Farm Nature Reserve, and of course Beese’s Riverside Bar.
  • Great hosts - very welcoming, accommodation looks just like it does on the photos in real life which is always a bonus. Comes with two fluffy friends who just want attention! Overall excellent and very clean and smart - great spec indeed. Definitely worth it if you are on a low budget and still want quality. Main train station and city centre a little far to walk to so would advise on maybe an Uber for transportation as it is around 13 minutes time wise. Would use again 100% :)
