  • Would highly recommend Sarah's place to any one. Plenty of room for everyone. Kids loved feeding and patting the horse, right outside on the front garden. Plenty of areas which catered for all ages and sitting out the back under shade area overlooking the valley and hills was gorgeous. Would certainly stay again if we had another function on.

  • Marek is the best host I have ever met. He kindly showed us his horses, bushes and beautiful house. He provided us with his delicious own making bread and grape juice. The location is also good, not far away from the city. What a surprise is the Clealand wildlife park is just few minutes drive. We love this beautiful house and if we have more time in Adelaide, we would have stayed for a longer time. Thank you Marek.

  • A beautiful, scenic location with a sprawling, super clean home to spend your business or leisure trip in. We hosted two large family events at the property and it was a great location for both. Lovely place for walking and enjoying nature. The wood fire places were a huge bonus.

  • Sarah's home was a perfect place to catch up with our family who are scattered all over the country. We loved the homey feel of the house, especially enjoyed an amazing fireplace. The local eating places were fantastic and enjoyed some local produce from just around the corner. The house has a spacious welcoming atmosphere.

  • An absolutely amazing place!! Close to Stirling but feels like you could be a million miles away! Thanks for a perfect stay!

    Michelle2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Very peaceful, private spot with fruit trees and berries in abundance, great hospitality, we felt very welcome. Perfect for a few days exploring the hills. big recommend!

    Sam2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Tim’s tiny house is a little work of art! You can see that he really has poured his heart into this sanctuary and we loved every minute of our stay there. The property is beautiful and it’s so peaceful and green with beautiful views of the spring outside the window. The house was super clean and has everything you could need to cook and refrigerate your own food as well as plenty of space to eat and hang out as well as a big bed and surprisingly big bathroom! There is complete temperature control, plenty of lights and PowerPoints. The only thing I would say to future guests is to make sure you pack your things so you can carry them easily (e.g backpack / no loose items) as you have to do a little bit of walking to get to the spot. Would recommend this place highly and the host is a really lovely guy!

    Ella2020-03-10T00:00:00Z

This is more than a regular Airbnb stay - this is your chance to experience the Australian bushland in a glamorous bell tent. Your chance to 'glamp' - glamorous camp! Nestled in Crafers in the stunning Adelaide Hills - less than a 20 min drive from the centre of Adelaide, we are also a few min drive from the famous German village of Hahndorf. Our beautiful bell tent is the perfect base to visit, Adelaide, the fabulous Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale wineries.
UPDATE If your dates are not available we have a second tent on the property www.airbnb.com.au/rooms/35316483 Set on a 3 acre bushland block (we live in the main residence) our bells tents are furnished to a high standard with new queen beds, luxurious cotton sheets, carpets, rugs, and of course fairy lights. Sit out under the stars and watch out for our resident koalas who visit every few days, the shy echidna who lives near our post box (he's a bit hard to spot!) and of course the kangaroos, possums and kookaburras who like to come out at dusk and dawn. Please don't expect manicured lawns and gardens - this is a little peace of real Australian bushland. A chance to experience nature but still be close to the city. We have a nice, clean camping toilet in its own shed or you are welcome to use our home toilet and bathroom if you prefer. Tents are completely waterproof, well ventilated and we provide you with a bbq, all your cooking utensils and outdoor eating areas (sorry no open fires as it's very dry and it's against the law to have a fire at this time of year in case it starts a bushfire). We also hire our tents out to be set up in National Park Campsites and regular campsites (you choose the pitch and we set everything up for your arrival and take it down when you depart).
We are a 10 min drive from the bottom of the freeway and less than 20 min from the centre. We are a few minutes drive from Mount Lofty Summit (lookout over the whole of Adelaide), Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens (these are beautiful!) and the Cleland Conservation Park (where you can cuddle a koala). The famous German village of Hahndorf is a 10 minute drive - it's a great place to order German beer (or Australian) and eat some good German food. Adelaide city is about 25 min bus ride (we can drop you at bus terminal if you don't have a car) and if you're getting the bus to Melbourne it stops here too! In fact the buses from Crafers can take you all over the Adelaide Hills. The gorgeous beaches of Adelaide are about 25 minutes away. We are surrounded by bushland and vineyards and great places to eat. Quaint villages of the Adelaide Hills including Stirling, Aldgate and Bridgewater (with its historic mill and pretty beer garden by the river) are only a few minutes away. McLaren Vale, the famous wine region is less than a half hour drive too, so with us as your base, you will be able to see so much. Oh yes, I forgot to say that if you are a keen cyclist this area is where the Tour Down Under rides though. So lots of amazing scenery to see on your bike. And a big downhill cycle to the city (much of it on a bike path).
  • We absolutely loved our stay, it was so calming, cozy and peaceful. Its the perfect little getaway to disconnect and refresh! There were so many thoughtful touches as well as wine on arrival, tea/coffee and croisants in the morning! The tent was so cozy and comfortable and we cant wait to come back in winter to make use of the campfire! Alva and Duncan were wonderful hosts and were easy to contact had we needed anything but everything was already thought of or explained to us so we could enjoy our time to ourselves.

  • Amazing glamping set up! Alva and family is extremely accommodating

    Breanna2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had an incredibly relaxing stay on Alva & Duncan’s property. The location is so peaceful and the perfect hideaway spot. We stopped by the local butcher on the way in and picked up some meat for a BBQ and it was just a perfect night to eat in and under the stars. We highly recommend this place!

    Ashleigh2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We could not recommend this stay enough. The beautiful natural surroundings make you feel so detached from the city, and the service from the hosts was great. If you’re looking for a weekend getaway or a unique place to stay then look no further.

Our stunning open apartment/studio has been described as a treehouse or "outside inside house". It is made of recycled Australian hardwood, extensive wall to ceiling windows, and all modern furniture and utilities and beautiful garden.
This studio/apartment is a 'slice of heaven' and one half of a split level house with its' own separate entrance and patio. It is a Glenn Murcutt inspired wool shed jarrah pole framed house perched over Cox's Creek. It is made from hardwood, glass and corrugated iron. It has been described as an outside inside house as you are never sure where the house begins. It is at one with nature. It has its own entrance with beautiful elevated views of surrounding gardens, creek and lily pond. It is an 'escape for all seasons' in the very heart of Stirling. The creek that flows underneath can be heard gurgling below for 8-10 months of the year along with the frogs
Stirling is a beautiful leafy village close to Adelaide. It was originally the "Hills" retreat for the early English aristocracy and is one of the few places in the world where you are in a pristine micro- climate surrounded by nature (no fences) and only 20 minutes to the centre of the city. The village of Stirling has a wide cuisine range of well priced restaurants sourcing produce from nearby farms. You can also have the joy of supping on organic coffee or chilli hot chocolates at one of the many cafes that infuse the village. It is a visitors joy and one of Adelaide's best kept secrets that has been let out of the bag. Many people from' The Plains'come up to Stirling to enjoy The Organic Market, buy fresh produce and shop in some unique homeware/clothing and furniture shops or visit many of the splendid wineries. Every month Stirling houses an award winning local market. It has around 80 stalls, which make, bake, grow or value add to the products sold. If you enjoy being outside, the Adelaide Hills abounds with some of the best bike riding paths, walking trails and artists inspired landscapes . Hans Heysen's home "The Cedars" is a 10 minute drive. The Mount Lofty Botanical Gardens only a hop, skip and jump away. The Hills houses many boutique shopping and gallery experiences. We are within walking distance of the Coventry Library, Stirling pub, restaurants and shops.

  • My wife and I spent 3 nights here straight after our wedding and it was PERFECT. You cannot see any kind of civilisation from any window so you feel like you are nestled in amongst a private forest paradise. Each night we fell asleep to the sounds of frogs croaking in the pond down below and each morning we woke up to an incredible view. We are 100% coming back here!

  • Everything was perfect. Except that I had to leave. What can I say? Vicki met me on arrival and provided such a warm welcome. There were many thoughtful touches that added to my stay. The property is in a stunning location and is beautifully appointed. The lounge provides room to do exactly that, the bed is supremely comfortable, and the bathroom even has Jurlique products. The views are divine, the kitchen is spacious and accommodating for those who like to cook. Importantly for me, the only noise was the sound of birdsong and the swish of trees. On my first walk outside I thought it was a small dog ambling toward me only to discover it was a koala on all fours before she clambered up a tree to chew the leaves. Such was my first day here. It's a magical place and I can't wait to return.

    Jane2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Vicki was an absolute pleasure to communicate with and the house is so gorgeous with very personal and thoughtful touches. The gardens surrounding the house were absolutely stunning. A special moment is being able to sit on the front porch watching the sun rise over the rolling Adelaide hills ! We can’t wait to be back’

  • The house is great surrounded by vineyards. It is very quiet and peaceful. very good sleep (very good bed). The house is old but very well furnished. The area is very pleasant and very well located. Vicky was very helpful. Inside the house you have everything you need for a stay. And outside the house you have lemon and orange you can take directly from the trees. Nice flowers and garden. Perfect stay. I fully recommended.

  • Picturesque surroundings and very comfortable furnishings. Lovely and thoughtful features throughout the house. Vicki was a pleasure to meet in person and was also very understanding of my jet lag when I locked myself out of the house within the first 5 minutes of arriving.

In summer the house stays cool, especially with bedroom blinds drawn, but we have pedastool fans for a bit of extra breeze. For those traveling with babies there is room for your portacot to be set up in one of the bedrooms or in the dining room (within ear’s reach of the bedrooms) and we can provide a high chair. Please note there is not a screen in front of the combustion fire so you would need to take care with little ones. The deck can look like a large drop off in the photos but it is only 60cm above the garden at the highest point.
Ode to the Orchard enjoys gorgeous views of Lenswood and the Adelaide Hills, wineries close by include Pike & Joyce, Mt Lofty Ranges Vineyard, Golding Wines, Anderson Hill, Cobb’s Estate, Tilbrook Estate, The Lane Vineyard, CRFT Wines and Bird in Hand. The quaint German town of Hahndorf is 15 minutes away which is great for a wander and some window shopping. Little ones might enjoy Cleland Wildlife Park in Crafers (20 mins) and also the Big Rocking Horse and Toy Factory in Gumeracha. Stanley Bridge Tavern and the Crafers Hotel are wonderful pubs for a meal. Lost in a Forest in Uraidla (10 mins away) has the best pizzas in the hills and a very cool setting in an old church.
  • Ode To The Orchard is a perfectly quiet, quaint getaway. Romany has beautifully maintained the original soul of the home with thoughtful touches. Our stay was relaxing in every way, featuring many an outdoor bath, homemade apple crumble and 360 views. Thanks Romany!

  • Ode makes you stop, listen, relax, touch and explore. We had the most beautiful experience staying at Romany's place. It was the perfect weekend getaway! The hand selected pieces were lovely, the bed was so comfortable and the extra treats were thoughtful. We loved the outside bath, it was an experienced made all the more perfect with the misty weather. The wood fire helped create the mood and the views are amazing! Romany was a fabulous host. Her communication was quick and friendly. Such a special place to visit! We even bought a piece of Romany's artwork to bring home.

The accommodation itself is gorgeous, combined with the outdoor bath and wood fire heater you could not ask for better. It is perfectly situated to the wineries of Pike & Joyce and Mt Loft Ranges Vineyard which are two fantastic cellar doors and restaurants. This place is so beautiful i planned my proposal here :) Highly recommend!

This is an off-grid, self-sufficient, self contained, Earthship studio apartment in the semi-rural Adelaide Hills, 45min drive from the CBD. Guests will experience a unique stay with a tiny eco-footprint. Close to Adelaide Hills wineries, golf course, bush-walks and other tourist attractions. The Freney family live next door in a passive solar strawbale home - close by if you need advice on sailing the "ship". A place where you can experience the future of sustainable housing!
Guests will need to respect the limitations of the off-grid systems for power, water and sewage and take care with the natural building finishes. The queen size bed is a 100% latex futon mattress, low to the ground so it may be difficult to get in and out of bed if you are elderly. Sheets are luxurious 1200 TC pure cotton. Delicious vegetarian breakfast ingredients, including free range eggs and honey from the property, supplied (but not prepared/served). Kitchen includes double gas burner, under bench fridge (with tiny freezer compartment), microwave and wood oven which is great for making pizzas (although not recommended for use during summer months). Fire wood is supplied from May to October.
The neighbourhood is semi-rural with lots of small "farms" where people raise chooks and grow fruit, veg, and flowers. You are likely to see and hear native animals such as kangaroos and koalas. Local attractions include wineries, golf courses, restaurants and bush walking trails.
  • We had a lovely stay at the Earthship. It was great to see how it was constructed and experience a more sustainable living. View was amazing, bed super comfy and the greenhouse a living dream. Would love to stay again.

  • The earthship was incredible, from the first sight of it the attention to detail was amazing. But walking in doors on a 37 degree day the green house was thriving and the living area was a cool 21 degree. The earthy floors allowed us to feel grounded immediately and relaxed. The food provided was organic produce of the best quality, the bed is of the highest standard to allow a truly enjoyable stay. Great bathroom facilities, the water gets both very hot and cold which is perfect for practicing Naturopathic Hydrotherapy techniques. It was a relaxing property with plenty of wild blackberries to pick. On the second day it was 43 degrees outside but still 21 degrees in the living area. The earthship has an incredible design and we will be going back in winter to see how it functions in the cooler months, The 2 nights was not enough, we returned home to a hot bungalow and wished we were in the cool earthship. Thank you!! We Highly Recommend!

  • This place is a must to stay. Simply AMAZING. Loved everything about it. Loved the wild life that visited including the koala that would visit every day. The views all around are just beautiful. Stayed in Summer would also love to visit in Winter too.

    Sandra2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a truly unique opportunity to stay in an Earthship and experience how calming and peaceful it is. Learning the principles through reading the information available enabled us to learn and gain an understanding of how clever this system really is. The outlook is gorgeous and the ambience within the building made from recycled and natural materials makes you feel calm and recharged. I loved the rendered walls with their niches and soft corners, the patterns and light coming in through the bottle walls as well as the beautiful coloured glass terrazzo floor in the entrance and the bathroom. We will be sure to spread the word about our experience and are looking forward to bringing some of the principles in to our everyday life. We are grateful for this opportunity and admire the work you are doing to enable ourselves and others gain a deeper understanding of sustainable living techniques through the workshops you run and being able to stay in the Earthship.

    Nici2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic experience staying in this awesome earthship. So different from any accommodation out there and Zoe and Martin have made the place so comfortable and welcoming. I felt relaxed and grounded the whole time and really enjoyed the healthy food provided for breakfast. I highly recommend you go.

    Jane2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • The Earthship is an absolute dream! Honestly the best Airbnb we have been to, it absolutely exceeded expectations which we didn’t think was possible after ready the reviews and descriptions but it was honestly perfect and wouldn’t change a thing ! I miss the place already, was beyond what I could’ve wanted or hoped for! Thank you for everything, every little touch was perfect. For those unsure, please do yourselves a favour and stay here. You won’t regret it and you’ll be amazed at this unique building !

    Georgia2019-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • The host was gracious enough to allow my son and his partner stay instead of us, unfortunately he could only stay for one night but said it was great

    Brian2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely beautiful place treated with a lot of care! Everything was considered and the earthship exceeded all our expectations, a truly lovely stay that grounded us. We can’t wait to come back and live this little off grid life again!

Join me at my 1.5 acre hills garden property for a short or long stay. The private bedroom, bathroom and lounge area is ideal for singles or couples looking for a break. The Adelaide Hills has numerous restaurants, cafes, wineries and tourist attractions, and all within easy access from Aldgate (a car is desirable). A light breakfast is included and cooked breakfast and other meals are available on weekends by prior arrangement and for an additional cost.
The guest area consists of a bedroom with queen size bed and walk-in robe; large modern deluxe bathroom; lounge area with TV, small fridge, tea, coffee and breakfast facilities; private balcony and entrance. My property is only a 15 minute drive to Adelaide CBD and busses are available from Aldgate village (a 20 minute walk from my property). Relax and enjoy the serenity of the hills or get out and about exploring the Adelaide Hills. Visit historic Hahndorf Village; wine and dine your way through the world class Hills wineries; visit Strathalbyn with its many vintage and antique stores; enrol in a cooking class at the renowned Sticky Rice Cooking school; see native animals and enjoy a meal at Warrawong Sanctuary: visit Melba’s chocolate factory and Cheesewrights in Woodside; wander through the many hills villages; take a 45 minute drive down to the McLaren Vale wine region or an hour drive to the famous Barossa Valley. In autumn be dazzled by the autumn leaves in Aldgate.

Heysen Hideaway is a quiet, self-contained 3 bedroom cottage with views over the Adelaide Hills. Located on the Heysen and Yurrebilla Trails, it is perfect for walking enthusiasts. Cycling trails are also within close proximity to the cottage. If culinary experiences are more to your taste, you will be spoiled for choice with wineries, microbreweries, distilleries, cheese and chocolate producers, fruit picking, roadside produce stalls, country pubs and delicious cafes all within a short drive.
Ideal for up to 3 couples or equally suitable for a family getaway, the cottage contains a large kitchen with full cooking facilities and an adjoining dining table that seats up to eight people. For a single night stay, tea, coffee pods, milk, juice, cereal, bread and local jams are supplied. Stays of 2 or more nights enjoy the addition of bacon, eggs and a bottle of local wine. Two comfortable living areas provide ample seating and both contain a TV (one with DVD player). The three bedrooms comprise a king bed, queen bed and two king single beds (the bedroom with the king singles is accessed via the queen bedroom). Heated by a combustion wood heater and two split system units for heating and cooling, the cottage is comfortable all year round. For those that like a toasty warm bed to snuggle into, each bed also has an electric blanket. The bathroom contains a large walk in shower with hairdryer provided. A washing machine, ironing facilities and clothes airer are located in the laundry and available for your use. Games, DVDs, toys and a highchair are permanently located in the cottage with a cot available on request. Outside there are two sheltered courtyards overlooking the mature gardens, outdoor table setting, BBQ, cubby house, clothesline and ample off-street parking. Heysen Hideaway dates from the 1860’s and pre-dates the township of Summertown itself. It is the last of three cottages built to accommodate the market gardeners who produced fruit and vegetables for the expanding new city of Adelaide. Built from local materials, the walls are constructed of a combination of creek stones and mud. The window frames and ceilings in the old part of the cottage are original with a sympathetic extension being added to the rear of the cottage in the 1970’s. Whilst so much of the cottage is original, the rooms are light, bright, warm and quiet – the perfect location for a home away from home.

The kitchenette houses a kettle, toaster, fridge/freezer, warming oven, microwave, electric fry pan, and the standard implements. Due to COVID-19 precautions, we have removed pantry essentials, food and drinks. For your convenience there is an iron and ironing board and a clothes horse. Our house manager prepares the house specifically for each individual stay with fresh towels for each guest and fresh sheets on the beds ensuring the highest level of cleanliness prior to your arrival. Unfortunately in some instances we have had to replace stained linen and towels (oil, coffee, red wine...) which Guests responsible will be billed for at current market price. South Australia has a wonderful mediterranean climate, renowned internationally for wine and food. May we remind you, for your comfort, to pack for all weather conditions!
The Gatehouse is nestled amongst the famed Adelaide Foothills on a main road which leads directly to the Adelaide CBD under 10km's away. Fifteen minutes further west by car will take you to the coastal towns of Henley Beach, Glenelg and Brighton, just to name a few. From the Gatehouse heading east up the hill into the Mt. Lofty Ranges offers spectacular views over the city, many wineries, charming pubs and townships waiting to be explored. This villa truly is a scenic residence at the centre of it all.
  • The Foothills Retreat is an amazing place to stay. We loved the thoughtful and practical touches such as the bottle of milk and bottle of juice in the fridge, and the different towels in the bathroom. One surprising note was how sparkling tidy the place was! There is clearly a lot of love and care put into maintaining both the tiny house and the surrounding grounds. Thanks for giving us a lovely place to stay in Adelaide.

  • sandy is a absolutely amazing and kind host and has a beautiful clean and tidy place for a couple to get away from tha noisey city sounds without being to far from the actual city would highly recommend anyone to come and spend a couple nights up here any time of the year.

    Chico2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for 3 nights, and absolutely loved it! The property is so unique, super clean, and very well styled. Being more up in the Hills was also really nice and only a 15 min drive into town. Would definitely recommend, and will be staying here next time for sure!

  • Awesome tiny little place.

    Brayden2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Sandy was fantastic in her communication and attention to detail with everything. My partner and I were comfortable and felt very welcomed to the property. The house is in a fantastic location being close enough to the city but also far enough so you are able to disconnect from the world! Would 100% recommend for anyone who would like to explore Adelaide to choose Sandy’s Air BnB!

  • Very cute cottage, close to town but still in the Hills

    Kerri-Lee2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful valley getaway. The Adelaide hills were just on our doorstep but we were also only 20min drive from town. The sounds from the road can be a little noisy but we still found it quieter than most suburban streets. Sandy was a delightful host and was very attentive to us. It was a pleasure to meet her. We will definitely be keen on staying again in the future.

  • Mehrdad is a wonderful man and a wonderful dad and Sami is a very nice guy. I stayed in his place and I felt immediately part of his family and I felt absolutely safe as a lone woman travelling around. Both him and his friends cook amazing food and you really cannot miss it!😊 The garden with the relaxing fountain is very lovely and Simba (the dog) is a small lovely creature that makes you smile. I absolutely recommend Mehrdad, he is very sociable and pleasant to talk to and I wish him all the best with the hope to come back again.

Charming 1860's cottage set in a private English garden in the heart of Stirling, nestled in a No Through road and 3 min walking distance to local amenities. Three bedrooms (queen, double and single). Wood combustion heater as well as a split system, oil heaters, and an equipped country kitchen. Outdoor eating and lounge and wifi.
Built between 1840and 1860 as a market gardens cottage, there are 4 original cottages sharing this area and a single well, gates and steps still connect them. This area was chosen because of its high fertility.
I love the trees, coffee and ambience of Stirling! It's beautiful

  • Mabel Cottage is a lovely retreat set in a beautiful private garden only a few minutes walk from the centre of Stirling.  It's very clean, well equipped and perfect for relaxing, either indoors or out.  The bed was comfy with plenty of blankets and pillows and the shower was strong and hot.  The fire on cooler nights was also a treat.  I stayed a week but would have loved to stay longer.  Stirling is a fantastic base for exploring the hills and provides excellent coffee, food and wine right on the doorstep.  The cottage is a short walk from Woorabinda Reserve which is a great spot to spend a few hours (or drive if you don't want to hike back up the hill).  Thanks Anna for a wonderful stay.  Hopefully it won't be too long before I come back!

    Colin2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Anna's house was lovely. It was spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Check-in was easy and all communications were clear. I particularly enjoyed the seclusion and outlook to the beautiful gardens. Being within walking distance to Stirling in the Adelaide Hills was an extra bonus.

Welcome to Koalaville, in Bridgewater: beautiful in all seasons Wake peacefully to birdsong amongst the trees overlooking the little valley. Open the triangle windows of your small but modern, bright, clean studio room and smell the fresh breeze. Sit outside in the sunshine on a picnic blanket & relax with a book. Talk to our chooks or catch sight of a friendly possum or koala. Explore the gorgeous hills, nearby wineries & Germantown, Hahndorf. Netflix, snuggly electric blankets, aircon.
Need a sweet little tree change amongst nature and wineries? |•The Area•| The Forest Apartment at Bridgewater- nestled between leafy Aldgate and the famous sparkly German town, Hahndorf, is a delight in all seasons: Cooler in summer with an afternoon cool gully breeze that entices you to throw open the windows... Cosy-warm, misty, green and fresh in winter, and bursting with sweetly scented flowers in spring; but the area truly shines in Autumn, with an incredible array of colours and floating leaves. A peaceful retreat, for those who need time away from it all, a rest and recharge, tranquility and a connection to nature, or a reconnection with a loved one. Or for those exhausted by life needing time away, take a long, deep sleep, or a day spent among the soft pillows and cushions with a good book or free unlimited Netflix. Light the little vanilla-scented candles, have a nice hot shower, make a cup of tea (or wine, or port from the intricate port sippers provided)..and rest. For the explorers, so much awaits to be discovered, whether it be a pop out for meal, or a day-trip adventure- scroll down to the bottom for ideas, and a whole folder more await you upon arrival to help plan your adventures. Want to visit wineries but not drive? I might be able to drive you around and know lots of magical places- message me with what you were thinking- great for a surprise or special occasion too. If you are new to air bnb, and sign up by clicking this link, it seems you will get $55 off your first trip if it’s not with us. www.airbnb.com.au/c/kharman5 |•Your Accommodation•| Your apartment- airy, modern and sparkly-clean, consists of a double bed with silky soft sheets and snuggly cushions and pillows; Tv with DVD player (and a selection of DVDS) and all-you-can-eat free Netflix for a quiet night in; and ensuite bathroom. The large picture windows let in plenty of natural light and the space is welcoming and relaxing. At night, the sparkling touch lamps, tea light candles and fairylights provide a warm, soft atmosphere. Cold night? New split system, plenty of soft, snuggly blankets provided, and of course, tea. More types than you could poke a teaspoon at- the way it should be. The apartment is on a different level to the main house, separate and not joined by any internal stairs or doors. Every effort is made to ensure your privacy and peace throughout your stay. We leave it to our guests to initiate meeting us if desired, but are on hand if you were to wish for anything further. Private and secure with key lock and independent check in, you will have your own separate entry down a set of garden stairs, with your own designated off street car park included. Although there isnt a 'kitchen' or kitchenette, you will find a toaster, kettle- electric teapot and selection of tea, coffee (just instant- apologies) and hot chocolate. There is also a microwave and small fridge. We have also provided a bbq with cooktop/stovetop gas burner for your exclusive use under shelter outside your room, with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils provided. You are most welcome to eat in your apartment or take the little dining setting or picnic blanket outside for a garden picnic. As you will be on holidays, there is no need to take out your rubbish or make your bed on the day of checkout - more time to relax and enjoy your stay. A small selection of books, DVDS and games are available to borrow- just ask. We can organize self-cook BBQ breakfast ingredients or a wine and cheese platter for you with a little notice- please asks about our packages. A little minibar is in your room in case of lazy days where you would prefer to relax and have a bottle of wine or snack handy. -An extra special treat if you are staying at the apartment in spring- a small heart shaped meadow for picnics, with 50 daffodils and 600 freesias to sit amongst- you would be welcome to borrow our extra large picnic blanket and picnic set upon request -Although unsuitable for children (one adult and one child sharing the bed has been done often), we have had pairs of friends, singles and mother-daughter pairs stay. |•The Property•| Set on a quarter of an acre in a safe, hillsy and friendly neighborhood, most of the way down a quiet no-through road, Koalaville is perfect if a peaceful and relaxing getaway is what you are after- or a fun filled adventure of food, wine and cheese, as the best wineries are so close by, as is Hahndorf. Great for those who love to get in touch with nature and want to reconnect with each other. The best thing of all are our cute-as-a-button koalas, masquerading as fluffy toys, but making grunting sounds like bears, they sit adorably eating leaves- we recently had a mother, father and baby family living in the gum tree right outside your apartment window- at the moment there is one big one. There are possums-a plenty- Pete, Percy, Pixie and baby Pinkie use the trees as a possum playground, a delight to watch, and ever present. If you hear a little furry thump, it's just them having their night time adventures. Feel free to feed them, they love bread and fruit and are friendly. Fall asleep to frog chorus from the winter creek and pond, and wake peacefully to warbling magpies and singing galahs and sulphur crested cockatoos, the laughing kookaburra sounds echoing across the valley, and the satisfied soft clucking of our hens once they have laid an egg. Watch the pretty parrots and rosellas in the trees while enjoying a cup of tea- we ensure the bird feeder outside your window is topped up to entice the stunning array of birds- stay very still and enjoy a spectacular show. |•The Location•| An easy drive to the city (under half an hour), or take the 'pretty way' as we choose to go; up Greenhill Road or Magill Road, and meander down through the lush Adelaide hills for a gorgeous scenic drive- perhaps stopping along the way to pick up some fresh raspberries, 'lemonade', flowers or produce from children's stalls along the side of the roads. Ensure you drive down our favourite road, Aldgate Valley Road- we loved this road so much, that we approached several property owners to see if they would allow us to hold our wedding ceremony in their garden- we were incredibly lucky to be able to be married at a private property at 10 Aldgate Valley Road- our idea of heaven. Adelaide has gorgeous beaches- Glenelg is less than 40 minutes away, or drive down through the hills to the coast to Goolwa and along the coast through to Victor Harbor and jump on the horse drawn tram (and feed the friendly Clydesdales- they love carrots). For an incredible daytrip, head to Carrickalinga/ Normanville via Meadows- stunning, quiet beaches with dolphins around sunset. °*|•Special Occasion?•|*° Is your stay for a special occasion? Ask about making it extra special for you and surprising your loved one, or making your wedding night magical :) As of February 2018, we have created three different ‘Magic Packages’: -Arrival Surprise Treat -Twilight Magic ‘Secret Fairy’ and -Enchanted night in Or mix and match your own choices. We hope to have a proposal here someday- if you are considering this, let us help make it the most memorable and magical moment possible. |• Cost options•| As many of our guests are from Adelaide or road tripping from the eastern states, we can offer your stay for $30 off if you would like to bring your own towels and linen, if the room hasn’t already been made up. Go ahead and book, let us know at the time of booking, and we will return $30 to you. Want to stay awhile? We’d love to have you, and will give you 20% off when staying a week or longer, and 25% off if staying a month- maybe more for longer stays, give us a message for a chat. ☺️ |• Pets? •| As you can tell, we LOVE animals. One of us significantly more than the other, so I'm hoping my husband won't wade as deeply into my slabs of text as you have, and discover this update *grin*. Although we never allow pets into the apartment to keep the space clean and fresh, we do in our own home: Our cocker spaniel sleeps with her head on my pillow and snores in my ear. So if you have a pet and you can't find anywhere and you want to travel with her instead of putting her in a boarding kennel and she is a cocker spaniel, cavalier, springer, ferret, rabbit, sausage dog, kitten or similar, please let me know and I'll attempt some arm twisting for you. She might be able to sleep up in our bed in the main house too while you are on holiday. |•News•| Ask about our new packages for special occasions - would love to spoil you. -April- a gorgeous Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, who we have affectionately named ‘Bert the Bird’ has been visiting us lately twice a day, and is becoming more and more tame. We are talking to him lots and hoping he will start to talk back soon. The other day he brought along his gorgeous little baby, Bertie. She is very sooky, whines while she eats, and is quite uncoordinated, particularly with her balance and her landings. She is an absolute delight to watch from your window. - March- we have a new powerful split system installed for snuggly winters! - We now have Netflix setup and logged in for you, with chromecast, so that you can lie back, snuggle up and watch all your favourite on the room tv for a lovely weekend in. - We have now had a couple with a baby as well as a mother with a 9 year old boy stay successfully and enjoy their time here. Whilst there is only the one double bed, if you’d like to bring your little one with you, let us know in your message and we can see whether Koalaville might be able to work for you too :) Three baby magpies and two big magpies, just outside the apartment- the babies still have fluffy little bellies, aw. The warbling is amazing. Last night on our drive home, we went down Sturt Valley Road- so beautiful, and deserves a mention for a little drive. We have super fast NBN connected! No more slow internet- hooray! January : Mollie the Koala has had a tiny gorgeous baby- for a short video of she and her baby taken from the garden, the baby tugging at her furry ears, please send your number with spaces between each letter or in words, oh four oh etc, so it doesn't get blocked, and I'll send it to you- it's the cutest thing! Bird photos and descriptions can also be seen by clicking on the photos and scrolling through- the myriad of birds that come to feed at the bird feeder outside the room is delightful- including a few pink-and-grey galahs who, if you sit very still, will cheekily watch you with tilted head. January: Pixie the Possum had a gorgeous little baby, who clings onto her mother via four pawfuls of fur- so beautiful! A hair raising piggy back ride through the trees, and a joy to watch through the windows- we captured a photo of them and included it in the property photos for you to see. |•To do~Activities in the area•| A folder of ideas for exploring the area awaits you in your apartment- fun activities for the area include: -Pick your own strawberries at Beerenberg Farm and taste the incredible chutneys, jams and spreads on offer- they are just past Hahndorf and entry is only $4 including eating as many strawberries as you can manage! - Walk and explore- there are plenty of walking trails in Bridgewater and in and around the nearby tourist town of Hahndorf. Even walking through the roads of Aldgate is the most relaxing and beautiful experience. - Stirling, Aldgate and Crafers villages nearby have great cafes, shops and pubs. We highly recommend and love the Stirling Hotel- great atmosphere including live acoustic music often. - Bike riding- Adelaide hills is great for this, as it is part of the Tour Downunder circuit- we also have the beautiful Amy Gillett Bikeway, running along Woodside and Oakbank, past some lovely wineries and the Melba's Chocolate factory- bikes available on request- notice needed for this to ensure they are in perfect working order for you. -Visit the monthly Stirling Laneways markets Sundays in Stirling- "The award-winning Stirling Laneways is more than a market. • Our stay at Koalaville was wonderful. Kylie put so much thought and love into her little sanctuary in Bridgewater. Upon entry there was a personalised welcome sign and lovely note on the mirror as well as some fairy mood lighting and music. Kylie has thought of everything and provided little extras in case of emergency. Little notes around the room for information/instructions was a special touch. The room was so romantic and cosy and styled well. We loved all the blankets and (especially the heated blanket) to stay toasty and warm. Bathroom was clean and tidy and shower pressure and heat were perfect. The view was beautiful and we had many bird visitors to watch come and go. Hoping to see some koalas but they must have been elsewhere when we stayed. You can really tell that Kylie prides herself on giving her guests that extra special experience. Highly recommend and we would love to visit again. Thanks Kylie :-)

He made us feel more than comfortable and even allowed us to borrow some woollen blankets so that we could go to the outdoor cinema. The location is very central to the hot spots in the area and the house and cottage have a wonderful old school feeling. Thanks again Matthew!

Every season in the Adelaide Hills has it's own beauty. It's proximity to Adelaide and easy transport routes means you are often in the city faster than if you live in the suburbs. Likewise a lack of traffic and open roads give us easy access to the wine regions and southern beaches making it a great base to get around.
  • It was a truly unique experience, surrounded by cows, sheep and even a kangaroo. It felt we were miles from the hustle of the city, allowing us to really relax.

    Stuart2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved staying here I could have moved here for life!

    Emily2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, peaceful, private retreat a few minutes from Hahndorf Town. Loved every minute of our two night stay, only wishing we had booked longer. The breakfast hamper included in our stay was sufficient & delicious- the milk was udderly amazing, it had cream on top!!! We enjoyed using the beautiful bath on the balcony, respiting in the tranquility of this property. The resident cows were a welcome enjoyment, and the ability to feed them from a little bag of goodies left by the owner was thoughtful. The bedroom was comfortable, with lovely bedsheets, comfortable bed & pillows. The dressing gowns were a great inclusion & came in very handy for the midnight dashes to the loo! The little kitchen/lounge room was well equipped, however champagne glasses would have been great. All in all our stay here was fabulous, the little thoughtful inclusions were great & we would highly recommend to book in a few nights here.

    Jason2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time at the TinyHome. Place is just like the pictures and very homely. The cows are also very friendly 🙂 Highly recommend booking a stay here .

  • Could not recommend this place high enough, perfect quiet location close to Hahndorf and not too far from Adelaide cbd. The highlight was definitely feeding the cows in the morning!! Will definitely consider staying again if in the area.

Welcome to Brockhurst, a self-contained upstairs apartment with its own private driveway and entrance. Established in 1887, Brockhurst is nestled within 2 acres of historical English Garden. Located near Aldgate Village, 5 minutes from leafy Stirling, and surrounded by tourism locations and wineries. Since opening in June 2018, we have had amazing guests stay at Brockhurst. It has proved to be a special place to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, garden parties or simply a retreat.
From your own private balcony you overlook a 100 year old giant English Oak as well as an amazing variety of conifers, deciduous trees and an extensive collection of Rhododendrons and Camellias. The garden is visited by a wide range of native birds and wildlife such as Kookaburras, Black Cockatoos, Fairy Wrens, Koalas, Boobook Owls, Brushtail and Ringtail Possums. Our guests will enjoy luxury features including a generous King Size bed, a comfy sofa, breakfast table and chairs. Double doors provide access to your own private balcony where you can sit and relax while enjoying a wine or two. The luxury continues in the large bathroom with freestanding bathtub and spacious Rain Head Shower. The Walk-in Wardrobe has plenty of storage for clothes and luggage for longer stays. There is free Wifi, Internet and unlimited access to Netflix and Spotify. For your comfort there is reverse cycle air conditioning. Your private fully equipped kitchenette has a sink, fridge, convection microwave oven and essential kitchen equipment and utensils to prepare your own meals when dining in. The apartment, located near Aldgate Village in the heart of the Adelaide Hills, is just minutes from leafy Stirling and the German township of Hahndorf. The area's surrounded by Adelaide Hills Wineries, where you can enjoy wine tasting.
  • We chose this Airbnb as it was outside of the city - car essential. It’s peaceful, tranquil, beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. The little touches like fresh flowers and things to make breakfast made all the difference. Efficient air conditioning and heating. Crisp bed linen and fluffy towels. 20 mins into Adelaide, 30 mins from airport. Supermarket, pharmacy and places to eat within a few mins drive. A very warm welcome from Brian and Deb.

    Tracy2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Simply beautiful location and living space. Host Brian is a lovely fella who had some great suggestions on where to eat and they didn't disappoint. Deb has styled the living area beautifully. The extra touches were brilliant and much appreciated.

    James2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • An absolute gem in the Adelaide Hills - Brian and Deb have turned this historic homestead into a idyllic couples retreat. Recently renovated with many thoughtful touches, my partner and I could not have chosen better. Set on a large estate they welcome you to explore, Brockhurst is a perfect base for taking in the surrounding region, or even retreating to after spending time in the city. Breakfast on the terrace was bliss. Can definitely recommend.

    Tim2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely gorgeous place; well designed and spotlessly clean. definately recommend staying there!

    Kaisa2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Superb location, superb apartment, superb host, all-round superb!

    Sebastian2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Brian’s place when I was in town for a wedding. The spotlessly clean and stylish space was perfect. Brian met me for check-in with all the information and tips I could possibly need, a really nice touch. I only wish I had had more time to sit out on the balcony and enjoy what this beautiful place has to offer. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

    Alexis2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • What can I say, the photos tell it all. Honestly I have no complaints about my stay here in Aldgate, Brian was so lovely with communicating and kept us updated with the unfortunate fires nearby. Everything was close by, local restaurants, grocery stores, etc. and if you’re wanting the City party of Adelaide, it’s only a 20min drive away.

    Mikaellee2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here on our Wedding night. Brian went above and beyond to make sure our stay was special. Would stay again for sure!

This is more than a regular Airbnb stay - this is your chance to experience the Australian bushland in a glamorous bell tent. Your chance to 'glamp' - glamorous camp.
Set on a 3 acre bushland block (we live in the main residence) our bells tents are furnished to a high standard with new queen beds, luxurious cotton sheets, carpets, rugs, and of course fairy lights. Tents are completely waterproof, well ventilated and we provide you with a bbq, all your cooking utensils and outdoor eating areas. Please note the bbq and all the plates and cutlery are your 'kitchen' (not the kitchen in the main residence). This tent is for two people but if you would like to come as a larger group or family please message us or see our other listing on Airbnb under Bushland Bells for up to 8 people (in two tents).
  • Alva and Duncan were gorgeous hosts who made our stay so lovely. The Moroccan tent is absolutely gorgeous and perfect if you’re wanting a romantic get away that’s a bit different. They have thought of lots of lovely little touches that make it really special.

    Bek2020-03-15T00:00:00Z

  • What a beautiful spot, we had a really lovely stay at Alva and Duncan's place. So relaxing and something unique and special to do. Hospitality was 5 star and our bed was super comfy. we enjoyed waking up to the sounds of the birds and the beautiful Aussie bush right at our door/tent door. thank you so much.

    Lisa2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was an amazing clamping experience! This was our first time doing it and we will definitely be doing it a lot more. The Duncan and Alva were great hosts and did a lot to make sure we had a great stay. The location is very pretty and the tent is beautiful inside. Great value for money too!

At the Mylor Farm we're transforming a secluded cottage with beautiful gum forest nestled beside a creek into the ultimate farm getaway. We have an established veggie and herb garden, as well as fruit orchard that is 18 months old! We have recent additions of a secret garden with tree fort, cut flower beds and further country garden. Over 15 acres all to yourself and your family - use it as a retreat or a base for exploring the wonderful Adelaide Hills.
Did you ever wish there was a place close to the city where you could go to get away from it all? Our farm is just the place. Just 25 minutes from the Adelaide CBD, yet a whole world away. The cosy stone cottage has three bedrooms tastefully furnished with queen sized beds and soft freshly laundered linen. There is a fireplace to snuggle up to and read a book. A kitchen with stocked pantry to cook your own food and a large dining table to enjoy meals with family and friends. Relax and enjoy the view from the delightful lounge whilst listening to a record. Outside is an abundance of fauna, including visiting kangaroos and koalas. For the birders, we have documented over 40 species of birds. Walk around and explore the woodlands with its wildflowers. Try your hand fishing from the creek, or bring a dish and pan for gold! If you want to be active, our vegetable garden is seasonal, and you'd be welcome to help out. We also have further gardens around the house and a secret garden near our treehouse. Other activities include hiking the Heysen Trail, mountain and road biking, and of course enjoying the local produce, especially the famous local wineries.
Hiking, mountain biking, and fishing are at your doorstep. A little further down the road is Mylor, a small village in the Adelaide Hills. It is surrounded by over 60 wineries with some of the best cool-climate wines in Australia. The Adelaide Hills is known for its weekend farmers' markets, with artisan and local produce.

    Jennifer2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • A beautifully furnished cottage, with all the creature comforts, nestled in a peaceful rural setting. We loved the long boardwalk which winds around the property, feeding Easter the kangaroo and exploring the gardens.

  • A beautiful, secluded retreat perfect for relaxing and exploring the Adelaide Hills. Spotlessly clean, everything you need is provided, comfy beds and a huge range of places to sit and enjoy the peaceful environment and local wildlife. Close to many of the Adelaide Hills towns including Hahndorf and Stirling. Wendy was a superb host, always fast to reply and so helpful. Very highly recommended, we would love to return and stay again!

  • Wendy and Luan have one of the best AirBnB accommodations that my wife and I have stayed in. It had had all the essential amenities, and was quiet and exceptionally well maintained. My family and I enjoyed the secluded spot but which was also near enough to the towns in Adelaide Hills and will certainly want to stay there again for more family bonding!

    Rajah Thiyagarajah2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • This property ticks all of the boxes: stylish; functional; private; unique; close to amenities; and family friendly. The winding pathway through the property was easily accessible for all ages. The path leads to and enclosed sanctuary for Easter the kangaroo. He was so gentle and let us pat him and feed him grains. Each bedroom felt luxurious, so no one felt as though they had the “bad” room. The property is close to Mylor village and the popular cyclist cafe, Harvest. We only wished we had stayed for longer!

    Emma2020-01-19T00:00:00Z

  • My daughter stayed in Hans and Maria's cottage for a total of 2 and a half months while she was in Adelaide. During her time there, they were very friendly and helpful. Hans often drove her to different places when she needed help to navigate the city. Hans and Maria were also very generous by sharing their delicious home-cooked meals and baked treats with her on many occasions. The cottage was homely and the bed was very comfortable. Maria came in weekly to clean the place and she often left thoughtful treats like chocolates and fresh flowers. There was also a large walk-in closet that provided room for clothes and luggage. The bathroom was clean and the shower stall was spacious. The air-conditioning works well and can also double as a heater. The place has a direct bus going into the city and another bus going to the Norwood Parade. However, the buses are not very frequent so it is recommended to plan your trip ahead and manage your time using the Moovit app if you want to use public transport. Hans and Maria's place is also a few stops away from the Morialta Conservation Park if you like outdoors. We would highly recommend this place for other travellers who are hoping to stay near the Adelaide Hills. It is great for long-term stays.
