Chef Tour of Pike Place Market
We will take you on a culinary tasting adventure of Pike Place Market. We will be stopping at 9 different artisanal vendors; learning about local production and tasting your way through the flavors of the Northwest.
Other things to note:
The tour takes place rain or shine. Please email if you have dietary restrictions.
Not all of our routes stop at the same places in Pike Place!
We do book private tours for 9-16 people. Please direct message us to learn more. Gratuity is not included in the price.
Our team also conducts a, more off the beaten path, tour on Fridays and Saturdays of South Lake Union.
There are small bites over many stops and limited places to sit down.
This experience requires a medium physical fitness level due to hills, stairs and uneven terrain. We do cover some distance and the market is crowded during the Summer.
If you have to drive and park please leave a lot of extra time in the high season. The lots do fill up.
Lastly, due to our tight schedule and wanting to show you as much of the market during a short time, we don't have time to shop during the tour. We encourage you to come back after the tour with your discount card to make purchases.

Pyschedelic Mushroom Growing in Seattle
This truly "only in Seattle" experience teaches how to grow your own psychedelic mushrooms from low cost supplies using a method you can easily replicate in your own home, wherever you live.
Please plan to bring four pint sized mason jars with lids and rings. I can describe them in more detail after you book. I provide all other supplies.
Because of a 2021 ruling from the Seattle City Council that decriminalizes the cultivation of psychedelic fungi for “religious, spiritual, healing, or personal growth practices", I am able to offer this class completely legally.
We'll talk about the evolutionary history of fungus, how different cultures have used and valued psychedelic experiences, and the entheogenic health movement. I leave time for questions, and do my best to customize this experience for you. At the end of this 2.5-3 hour class, you'll leave with your own custom mushroom grow, and instruction on how to start your own tiny psychedelic mushroom farm.
I have a unique background as a forager and published health researcher. I bring a unique mixture of knowledge on health, ecology, and mycology.
Teaching my first hundred students in my apartment for this class has been a joy. I hope you'll join me soon!
Notes: I have two cats, and live up three flights of stairs. I ask that you test for COVID before attending.
Forest Bathing in an Oregon Rainforest
"Not all who wander are lost." - J.R.R. Tolkien
Come experience the healing practice of Forest Bathing in a privately owned Pacific Northwest rainforest, near Nehalem on the Oregon Coast.
Forest Bathing (shinrin-yoku) is a wellness practice that originated in Japan that means to immerse oneself in the forest.
Forest Bathing is not a literal bath but a practice that invites you to connect more deeply with nature through your senses. Known to relieve stress and anxiety that come with life's " busyness, " guided forest walks can also facilitate calm awareness, creativity, and imagination.
In this Experience, we will take a guided walk in the forest where you will be invited to engage in mindful activities intended to awaken the senses and lead to a greater connection with the forest and yourself. At the end of the experience, we will gather for tea and sharing.
This Experience is for you if you want to slow down and experience nature in a peaceful and magical Pacific Northwest Rainforest on the Oregon Coast, where the forest is the teacher.

Playing with Fire - Glassblowing!
This is a very interactive and creative glassblowing experience for you to learn about and enjoy the techniques of "lamp-work" glassblowing style in a personal, one-on-one setting. We keep our group size small so you can have a lot of hands-on time on the torch.
Our glassblowing experience is set up for 2-4 people and lasts approx. 1 hour per person. We strongly recommend to experience this with another person. If you are solo, please try to book with another group or another single person.
Your group can choose between two glassblowing styles:
1.) Blown Glasswork Experience or
2.) Solid Glasswork Sculpting Experience
Example photos of each approach are in the listing.
Once you arrive, Jason will go over the fundamentals of glassblowing and the safety rules. After that, he will explain and demonstrate a few basic moves on the torch, and then it's your turn to "PLAY WITH FIRE"! With his hands-on guidance, you will create at least one glass art piece to take home with you! Pieces that Jason demos for you during your experience are available to purchase at a 50% discount!
**Please note: The pieces you create will need to cool in the kiln for approx. one hour after the experience ends - please factor this additional time into your day. You can drive to the nearby "Paddle Pub" (3 miles) for a bite to eat; or, If time is short, we can ship them to you ($20 to 1 US address).
