  • The cosiest, warmest and most home-y feeling beach shack you could ask for. Gaye was super helpful and friendly, the fireplace is a dream, the deck with ocean glimpses was the nicest place to kick back with a beer. And the peppermint trees surrounding the place smell amazing! Windy Harbour is such a gem of a place, absolutely loved the chilled out vibes. Will be back again for sure.

  • Great place down in windy harbour. The fire was amazing and a perfect little treat for a weekend away. So close to the beach and easy to find. Thanks Gaye, we hope to come down again

  • The cottage is everything as written, great location especially if you love fishing. The area was great to explore, beautiful beaches and it was great that there was no WIFI!

  • Nice little cottage near the beach. We were able to visit the giant karris and the giant valley by car from here.

    Bernadette2019-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is just great. Everything you need in a setting that just cannot be beaten. Gaye is superb - quick to respond, accommodating - she happily allowed us to defer our stay by a day as I was being smashed at work and could not get away on the day we originally planned. No problem with hot water or electricity. The cottage was spotless on arrival. Loved the whole Windy Harbour experience. 15 out of 10.

Cupid’s nest is one of Windy's original 1950's beach shacks, merely 200m from the beach and playground. Restored by the owners to be nostalgic, with recycled furniture and wood stove. It epitomises rustic, sustainable living with an off-grid solar system and amenities such as a gas stove, rain water, heating and electric fridge. Windy Harbour is a rugged, isolated coastline and Cupid's Nest provides an ideal place to retreat from the world, have a digital detox and reconnect with one another.
The hut has two bedrooms, one featuring a queen size bed and the other, a double bed. It is perfect for that romantic getaway or restful holiday, where the troubles of the modern world can be left behind. The previous Swedish owners transformed the hut into a scandi hideaway with raised wooden ceilings and lead lights and there are no doors on the bedroom but privacy curtains . We continue to ensure that the hut retains its local character by returning it to the era of our parents, a nostalgic nod to the 1950's. However, we do have mod cons such as a refrigerator, hot running water, gas appliances and a rainwater tank outside the undercover area for drinking purposes. Please note, unless you have Telstra, you may lose reception within an hour's drive to the settlement. For your interest, an original photo of the original timber huts is above our fireplace.
This is a quiet family coastal area. It is great for families as it has a park, beach facilities and great fishing spots. In summer, there is an ice-cream van and sometimes a pizza van that comes into the settlement. It pays to stop in Northcliffe on your way down to stock up on food and essentials as there are no food supplies in Windy harbour.
  • Frances has a nice home and I enjoyed my little stay very much.

  • This place is a MUST! The secrets out with Jo's incredible farm stay at Ryan's Rest. There is nothing you need to do other than arrive. Jo has it all sorted from coffee, books, marron baits to mozzie nets. This is the best recharge station, we actually didn't have time to achieve all the activities at here. The Caravan is beautiful and incredibly appointed and the locations is full of nature. I wish we didn't live interstate as this incredible destination would frequently be visited. Thank you Jo for your attentiveness and generosity.

    Rachel2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • I loved every minute here! The view is calming and relaxing, the van is beautifully decorated with so many additional inclusions. We loved paddling around the dam in the kayaks and my husband loved walking through the paddock. BBQs in the evening and open fires toasting marshmallows and looking at the amazing star filled sky. Jo also had an array of wonderful magazines and books that we enjoyed. The list goes on. I would certainly recommend a stay here, so good for the mind, body and soul!!

  • Hey Jo, thank you so much for the hospitality! Had an amazing time there the kids absolutely loved it as did we, beautiful spot! Very chill just what we needed 👌🏽

    Louis2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • A peaceful and tranquil spot, really well set up with lots of thought put into what's needed to be self sufficient for some quiet time. Good sized fridge and cooking facilities so you can park up your car, settle in and just chill.

    Jo-Anne2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a very special stay at Jo and Glen’s accomodation. We especially loved the quietness, the remoteness and the isolation, something that’s quite unique and rare in this day and age. Being off the grid and unplugged to devices is a luxury. Time to interact and converse, read a book, kayak on the lake, relax in the hammock or sit by the fire pit with a glass of local red wine listening to the kookaburras. We were happy to limit our water usage and use a compost toilet to have the opportunity to be so removed from it all and immersed in nature. Jo has truly thought of everything and we look forward to returning soon!

    Jane2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had the most amazing stay at Jo’s place. Most beautiful location with an outstanding view and great amenities and little touches (books were awesome too)! Thanks so much - we will be back!

  • Perfect get away house, very well renovated and in a good location

    Jeremy2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We fell in love with this little cottage from the moment we stepped inside. The place was beautiful, homely and very clean and all the amazing original art made it a very special place to stay indeed. We loved all the personal touches like the hand written note, bottle of wine and ripe red tomatoes from the garden. The house is comfortable and luxurious. Ann communicated promptly and was so great to deal with. We were lucky enough to get to meet her on the day we checked out and she was even more delightful than I imagined. We highly recommend Tiddly Pom and will be making it our number one place to stay in Windy Harbour. We loved, loved it. A little luxury in one of our favorite places in Australia - Windy Harbour. Thanks Ann!

    Windy Harbour, WA, Australia

The uninterrupted ocean views are what make this the best place to stay at Windy Harbour. Relax and unwind in this front row cottage. Originally built as a shack in the 1950s it now has a few creature comforts like a gas heater, gas hot water and gas stove as the settlement has no mains power. A small solar system provides lights for the evening, also runs the TV/DVD, can also charge laptops and keeps the large 450Lt fridge/freezer nice and cold.
NO LINEN PROVIDED. The main living room overlooks the ocean as well as one of the bedrooms. The fourth bedroom has also been set up as a games room for children. There are 2 double beds, 1 queen and 3 singles. Guests must provide their own linen. Doonas and pillows are provided.
There are many walk trails and 4wd tracks around the settlement of Windy Harbour. A 2km walk up to the cliffs or drive is a nice place to watch the sun setting. A hike up Mount Chudalup gives another nice view of the surrounding area. The Northcliffe Visitors Centre is a great source of information for the Southern Forest Region. Windy Harbour is a great spot for beach or ocean fishing or just walks along the beach.
  • We loved our stay here for 3 nights in February. The location is great, a real 'get-away-from-it-all' spot.

    Conor2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Sheerwater is a wonderful home from which to experience Windy Harbour. This is our second time staying there and everything was just as good as we remembered from the first time. Many thanks Judith!

    Robert2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful ocean views, easy place to stay, excellent walks, Windy Harbour so peaceful and quiet.

    Jackie2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cosy little shack in a great location. The small gas heater was amazingly effective and we were comfortable all weekend even when temperatures dropped to 5 degrees. The shower was amazing! Huge and hot. It is an an older shack like most of Windy Harbour but has been renovated into very comfortable accommodation with everything you could need. Judith provided excellent directions and was prompt answering all queries. We plan to come back in the warmer seasons and will hope for some weather that is more fishing friendly.

    Jane2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. Nice and quiet, well equipped beach getaway.

    Jennifer Anne2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • The Sheerwater house is located directly behind the dunes with great views of the sea. In the house you will find everything you need for a stay in the secluded place Windy Harbor. It is quite simple, but to feel good. The area is very exciting to explore, with many lonely dream beaches and if you're lucky, you can see kangaroos in the dunes. Many thanks to Judith!

  • A homely rustic cottage with lovely log fireplace- plenty of room for entertaining on the back deck (although it was raining we didn’t get to use it- but this would be great in summer!). I really loved sitting out on the porch. Proximity to the beach is a massive bonus

  • This is a beautiful old cottage which has been done up with many modern amenities. We were very pleasantly surprised when we walked in, we loved the decor this was reasonably priced and the location was great. The fuse ball table was an absolute hit with our 2 year old.

Shops and the bakery are walking distance away which made life really easy for our quick getaway down south! The country feel and peaceful vibes really made us feel at home! If we are back in the Pemberton area we will certainly see if Mark's place is available!

Our place is a rustic older style house close to natural bush land and lake walks among the tall Karri and Jarrah forests. It is also close (20 min drive) to local wineries and popular tourist attractions of the South West region. Our large comfortable house is nestled in peaceful forest setting with easy access to numerous bush walks and wildlife. A perfect place to spend time in the quiet soothing forest setting. Good for couples, solo adventurers, families, and furry friends (dogs).
There are many kangaroos in the area and it is always a special treat when they visit the house - please make them welcome. There are lots of birds and the 28 parrots feed on the back veranda (seed is provided). Please don't feed kookaburras (they love meat) as they become a demanding pest and bang ferociously on windows and doors.
Quinninup is peaceful quiet and very small. There is a beautiful lake with a walk all around (approx 45mins). There are many other walks that can be made from the town of Quinninup into beautiful state forest. The town has a hotel which serves good meals and has an excellent wood fire to keep you cosy in the winter. There are tennis courts/basketball courts and oval and playground in the town which is a 5 min walk from our house.
  • We had a lovely getaway after a cancelled over seas trip. Thank you Tessa for sharing your lovely space my fiancé and I loved the peace and beautiful lake walk our dog also loved the space and we felt really at home. We will be back thanks again Tessa.

    Jess2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Tessa was incredibly accommodating through the whole process, and ensured we knew all about the property prior to arrival. It was such a lovely getaway where we stayed as two couples with an infant and 2 dogs. Highly recommended location just off the high volume tourist map that gives you access to some beautiful trails, wineries, breweries and sights, but is just far enough away to ensure you feel that you are away from it all. The only hospitality in short walking distance from the house was the Quinninup Tavern with great food and drinks, which was perfect for our small group. Thank you - we will be back!

    Ryan2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time at Tessa's home and its such a wonderful experience if your wanting peace and tranquility. We loved to just sit on the verandah and enjoy the bird life and magnificent trees surrounding the house. The new local Tavern was a real bonus with just a 10 minute walk away and also the nearby lake is beautiful if your wanting a longer walk. Tessa is a very helpful and lovely host and we certainly will be returning again. Thanks Tessa 🙏❤

    Paul2020-01-23T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely beautiful tranquil place to disconnect and get away from the hustle and bustle of life. I had no phone reception which I LOVED! The parrots and kookaburra's were such a delight especially for our 3 year old. We brought our 3 year old and 10 month old and they both loved it. So relaxing! The lake is only a 2 minute walk away and is stunning. Highly recommend Jarrah jacks brewery in pemberton as well. We will definitely coming back to stay here.

    Claire2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is exactly as Tessa describes. Great value in the bush with plenty of bird watching. We we’re lucky to see kangaroos and one with a Joey in the pouch. Just spectacular. It is rustic and if it is cool, you’ll need to build a fire.

    Troy2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • The house was lovely, in amongst the trees and really peaceful. The bird feeder for the parrots was great and the kids really enjoyed watching them come to feed. The lake walk was so close and very pretty and there were lots of other walks close by. We had a lovely Christmas here.

A very quiet street and home. The morning sun steams into the queen room and both rooms are fresh and clean. Hotel quality bedding and towels provided. Full breakfast included. Home grown and raised eggs, vegetables. Homemade bread, sausages and more. Please note the kitchen is unavailable.
We both love listening to the bird life as we sit outside under the veranda eating breakfast and drinking delicious coffee and various teas. Only 20 min away by car is Windy Harbour with its beach and great walks and awe inspiring views is a must to visit. One side golden sand to walk on on bare feet. Around the corner a somewhat different beach with a darker sand and long coastline for miles.
  • Marion and Terry a great hosts. Highly recommended.

  • Wonderful hospitality that makes you feel totally at home. Room is clean and spacious, and the bed is super comfortable. Marion also whips up a hearty, delicious breakfast that satisfies the belly as much as it warms the heart. Thank you!

  • We had a restful and cosy stay at this bnb. Marion and Terry very welcoming and always happy to chat or leave you to your own devices. A hearty cooked breakfast sets you up for the day.

  • Great stay with Marion and Terry. Fabulous home cooked breakfast with all local produce. Bed super-comfy, best nights sleep I've had so far in Australia.

    Martin2019-11-22T00:00:00Z
  • Marion and Terry are very hospitable and friendly. They made us feel right at home. Marion’s breakfast was delicious and generous. The bed was very comfortable and the shower very hot! Highly recommended.

    Claire2019-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Marion's place. It really felt like a real B&B experience. Marion and Terry are super welcoming (afternoon pikelet, miam) and want to make you feel at home. The bed was comfortable and it was warm, which was great considering the cold weather. And the cherry on top of the cake was the breakfast, which was just so delicious. Thank you again, Coralie and Henri.

    Coralie2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Such a treat to stay at Marion and Terrys place after hiking on the bibbulmun track. Best breakfast I’ve had in recent memories - spoilt with delicious home made foods! Their garden is great and the back verandah js a nice place to relax. Recommend to all hikers passing by - located right in northcliffe around corner from the shop. Continue your hike powdered by delicious eggs from the chickens out the back and home grown veggies!

Rustic cabin, beautiful views, a perfect balance of lush pasture and natural forest. Wake up with the sun, animals of the farm and birds from the forest. Spend your day exploring the beauty of the area and end with a warming fire and star gazing.
Warm old school charm with plenty of genuine character. Fresh, clean bed sheets and towels are provided for each stay. A cosy wood fire heater for those brisk nights or if you like to enjoy a fire and drink outside, the firepit is only steps from the cabin to use in the winter months. Sit on the porch and take in the sun coming up in the morning with complimentary tea/coffee and oats . 2 bedroom, one with single bunk beds, the other with a queen bed. Gas stove stop and oven, wood fire oven or microwave for cooking, small fridge keeps food fresh or drinks cold. Gas hot water system provides warm showers at days end. We also allow the use of our adjacent barn and surrounding areas for our guests to celebrate special occassions in. Please speak with us to discuss further. :)
Great historic Pemberton hotel, beautiful walking trails, hikes through the national parks and state forest. Fun mountain biking tracks, horse riding trails, yeagurup sands dunes, trout and salmon fishing, marron in the dams, tramway from Pemberton to Northcliffe, Big Brook Dam, Gloucester tree to climb, wineries, unique food spots ... the list goes on and on!
  • Lovely little farm stay, clearly some thought has gone into styling the interior but it is as expected; a cute, old cottage. Very comfy bed, tranquil views from the balcony, good range of table games for rainy weekends.

    Alex2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is the second time I have stayed at Green Cabin, and I didn't think I could fall more in love with this place. If you need a place to unwind and recharge this is the place to go! Allexa and Mikey have made this place so homely and comfortable, I really didn't want to head back to the hustle and bustle of city life. The location is close enough for you to be able to take a day trip to Margaret River, Augusta, Hamelin Bay, Bridgetown etc. but far enough for you to enjoy the tranquillity of WA's Great Forest. I cannot recommend this place more highly and I am looking forward to my next visit.

    Natalie2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived for a few nights to connect and be in the trees. We stumbled across this little magic cabin. Was perfect for what we were looking for and beautifully hosted. Can't wait to be amongst the trees again.

  • Thoroughly enjoyed our mother and daughter stay. The perfect outback country feel with plenty of amenities available. At night time, to view of the stars is just breathtaking. Thank you so much!

  • I have only superlatives to say. We were after a gate-away to relax and recharge after massive few weeks at work. and we did get just that! And much more! Location, outlook, all the little touches and amenities on hand....home made jams, salts, soups....quiet and tranquil place with the most comfy bed. :D Bliss! Plenty of board games and full book shelf to help you to leave the business of everyday behind. Forestall walks, bike trails, wineries and cool little tapas bar, all nearby and in sublime quality....just try Hidden River Valley, Treehouse Bar, Jarrah Jack's Brewery and Picardy Wines. All our favorites. We will be back....to finish the Trivia Pursuit. :)

nicely appointed beach house with all the ammenities you could ask for in this secluded beachside destination . 300m to beach, huge open plan kitchen, dining and lounge ,solar power, gas bbq,gas hot water, books, dvd, kids play room, deck, outdoor shower, alfresco linen inc. much more...
Our hut has a good feel about it and is relaxing but still has everything you need to be comfortable and caters for up to 6 adults and 2 kids . We have a big open plan kitchen dinning and lounge area also a sliding door onto the deck this makes it the perfect place to get together with friends and family . We have a private courtyard section out the back that is just great and are working to improve this all the time . We are set on a very large block so you have space and privacy .
I love the rural settlement of windy harbour and the fact that there is no power , phone coverage , most of the time the beaches are so quiet that you might get an opportunity to have it all to your self . It gives guests the chance to step out of the modern fast passed rat race and truly reset and have a complete digital detox and get back to nature and I feel this is such a healthy thing to do , just breath the sea air !! there is so much to explore if you have a 4x4 and are Experienced the place you can see are limitless . It is a very safe place with lots of friendly faces throughout the settlement , if you come here you will want to come back . Come and spend some quality time at windy harbour retreat .
  • A classic example of a beach hut, well maintained and comfortable.

Nestled into the hillside, Betsea Cottage will delight you with sweeping ocean and island views. Only a 5 minute stroll to the beach to swim, fish and explore the rugged, beautiful coastline. Very well equipped kitchen, living room and comfortable beds. TV, toys, boards games and books provided. Caters well for 8 guests with 2 bathrooms. All linen is provided so you can relax as soon as you arrive. This is a lovely, homely seaside cottage and your family is sure to have a wonderful holiday here.
Betsea Cottage is a bit more upmarket from a simple shack – there are two bathrooms and three toilets! Bedroom One has views of the ocean and an en-suite with a shower and toilet. The main bathroom has a good-sized bath/shower combo with toilet and vanity basin. The third toilet is located downstairs near the washing machine in the laundry.
The Telstra tower ensures excellent mobile coverage but you will need a Telstra phone or sim card because Telstra is the sole phone provider in Windy Harbour.
  • If you've been to Windy Harbour you know what it's all about... if you've never been to Windy Harbour, you should know that the settlement is not like a township, but has more the feel of a substantial, well-kept caravan park. The houses (or 'huts' as they're known) are mostly quite close together with paths and driveways squished between, and without fences. Betsea Cottage is in a really special position, privately tucked away behind a couple of rows of huts, with no neighbours directly either side or overlooking. The whole settlement is peaceful and secluded, and Mary's place in particular is especially private and sweet. It's one of the very few huts with a direct view of the ocean. We were there during a quiet week soon after school holidays were over, so the settlement seemed mostly empty. The house seems like it may have been moved to the site long ago, with vintage vinyl over the creaky floors and small but well laid out spaces. It's not a place to rush around and do things with maximum efficiency - it's much gentler than that. You have the option to bring your own bedlinen, and if you're a stickler or a fusspot then it might be worth considering. That said, everything was clean and in good repair. It's just the kind of gear that might have been carefully treasured up from your great auntie's guest room closet. The towels seemed brand-new and fluffy and were a delight. The kitchen was small, but amazingly well equipped. There was even a stick blender and a set of electric beaters! The owners and other guests will likely have left a few pantry staples in the pretty sideboard, which you can use (though do be a good sport and make sure you replace them). We made a long-ish stay, so Mary considerately made the washing machine available to us, which was wonderful. And there was no shortage of wind to make the line-drying quick. Overall it was a lovely stay, and I can highly recommend the place to anyone who wants to be fully self-sufficient in peace while on holidays.

    Jodie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Betsea Cottage is very comfortable and homely. Mary was generous with local advice and information to make our arrival smooth and our stay enjoyable. I’d definitely recommend this place. We were a large group and there was plenty of room and thoughtful touches.

A spacious studio feel, each cabin is contemporary with bespoke spaces that work together. The generous kitchenette comes with a choice of wine glasses and a carafe, yet you can hide it all away with the sliding panel door. Hang up your bikes after a day on the MTB trails or undulating roads, and enjoy coffee or tea on the bed, sofa or al fresco deck before heading out for a bite to eat.
Pemberton is an historic timber town rich in history. It's a quiet neighbourhood with timber trucks passing throughout the day, and a chosen stop off point for those exploring the South West of WA. Jaspers Cabins are about 100m from Sleepers Cottages in Pine Street, which we also look after.

  • We loved Rosebank Cottage. Cute, clean and picturesque. The garden is amazing, and it’s just far enough from town to be peaceful and calm. Lucie was very helpful and easy to communicate with. We’re already looking for an excuse to go back!

  • We were hoping for a place where we could relax for a couple of days. Rosebank was perfect. The wonderful cottage garden attracts a wide range of birds. It was lovely to sit out at any time of day with Fairy Wrens coming right up to our feet. Inside the cottage is very stylishly furnished and Lucie had thought of everything to make our stay very comfortable. Positioned very close to an entrance to the Gloucester Forrest. We set off on a short thirty minute walk from the cottage but as it was such a lovely day we ended up walking for three hours, our walk included a visit to the Gloucester Climbing Tree. It is very well signed just remember to memorise the route back. Would certainly recommend Rosebank. 10/10

    Shire of Manjimup, WA, Australia

On the edge of WA south-west forest, Pipinnvale is a timber mill workers cottage offering 2 rooms inside and glamping in a 4m round canvas bell tent with 2 single beds with electric blankets & duck down doona, that's nestled at the bottom of the garden under the jacaranda, along with a rustic outside shower room & toilet just for glampers. A full cooked breakfast is included in the tariff, Dinner is by arrangement $50 per person.
You will be glamping looking out to the karri forest with an abundant bird life and chance of spotting a kangaroo or 2. The house is an old timber mill workers cottage which I am slowly renovating to bring it back to its former glory. The rustic shower & toilet is constructed of recycled tin, jarrah and bricks. It's been a lot of fun putting it together. The garden is still quite young though it's surrounded by mature trees... a Jacaranda, lilly pilly and a huge ivy growing over the old outhouse. It’s quiet and relaxing and in the evening under the stars, you can gather around the outdoor fire pit for a glass of wine and hot chestnuts (not in fire restricted times) Breakfast is served usually inside, but if the weather is nice, we can have it in the garden.
  • Very very lovely stay in Pippa' place, and Pippa is a very nice person. Thank you very much for the special prepared Chinese breakfast and nice tea. The tent is clean, comfortable, and the yard is pretty. If anyone is interested in Pippa's place, please do not hesitant, it is a good choice! Y(^_^)Y

  • We had such a lovely stay at Pippa's glamping tent at the backyard of her house! Great amenities, lovely and comfortable beds in the glamping tent. Pippa and her gorgeous dog TIlly were also great company!

  • Pippa was an amazing host, very flexible and easy, for instance letting us used her bbq and kitchen as we had a lot of food leftover! The tent is very spacious, perfectly clean and don’t hesitate to stay a bit outside before sleeping the sky is amazing, rarely seen so clearly so many stars!!

    Thomas2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Charming, stylish and overwhelmingly hospitable. Pippa’s place is everything you want to find from a unique Airbnb. Highly recommended staying here, she’s an incredible host and the place is top notch.

  • We rode a section of the Munda Biddi Trail so it was only fitting to glamp in a luxury tent with comfy warm beds and a home cooked meal. Pippa gave specially care and especially made us a delicious vegetarian dinner and breakfast. It was great to talk with Pippa on the local area and I felt like I was visiting a friend. Pippa and Tilly are delightful hosts making our stay very homely and comfy.

  • Dont hesitate! Book this !! Simply wonderful!!

  • Lisa-Marie's place is a gorgeous cottage located in the beautiful little fishing and holiday village of Windy Harbpur. Really clean and plenty of space in the large bedroom for kids to play. The photos don't do it justice. Something to note is that there is no power at all but plenty of candles are provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • At Geri & Bernie, hospitality is an art. Everything that is done in this accommodation is done with love and you can see it in every detail. The welcome with a mix of cheeses, fruit and hot bread is fantastic! In addition, the breakfast with all the homemade ingredients was also exceptional. We really enjoyed their terrace where you can relax very well, see beautiful birds and hear their beautiful song. We can say without a doubt that in our month-long trip to Australia it was the best B&B and we recommend it to anyone who wants a sweet and perfect stay.

Our boutique 2 bed-roomed self-contained and self catering unit is light, bright and comfortable. It has 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds, Bathroom with bath and shower, fully fitted kitchen, Lounge with wood-fire, Wifi, TV/DVD, reverse cycle air-conditioner and your own deck with BBQ.
Our property offers our guests a place to relax and unwind. As we live on 6 acres, and only have one lot of guests staying at a time, every guest is assured of privacy, peace and the chance to reconnect with nature. At the same time, we are close to wineries, great restaurants and places of interest in the area. We can take 4 people in the main accommodation. Each bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed, plus we do have a cot available. Our price of $160 per night is for the first 2 guests, then $35 per extra guest per night.
All the properties in our neighbourhood are 5 acres or more, so we have no neighbours living on top of us. This ensures peace and and tranquility. There are many wineries in our area, as well as some top restaurants. We live in the "Foodbowl" of Western Australia so there is an abundance of fresh fruit, vegetables available, including avocados and fish such as trout and marron. Truffles are grown nearby and served at a local restaurant. Big Brook Dam is an idyllic place to visit and is 5 minutes drive from our property. The Gloucester Tree is a 5 minute drive too. Beedelup Falls and Karri Valley are 20 minutes drive away. Your private parking area is right next to your front door, and is free. We have our garden open to the public 2 or 3 times a year and try to maintain an interesting and colourful garden all year round. Our garden is an ideal wedding ceremony and wedding photo venue, and we have hosted 4 weddings to date. Pemberton is approximately 1 1/2 hours from Margaret River, 1 1/2 hours from Walpole and 1 1/2 hours away from Augusta, so it is ideal as a central pivot point to all these destinations.
  • Lakeside Garden Retreat is a very special part of heaven, created by Sally and Charles. We had a wonderful time and hope to come back again some day.

  • Wowwww. What an outstanding place. The apartment is basically small house sized so you can really spread out and feel at home. It's modern and very clean, with a full kitchen. The gardens are just divine. It's like walking through a 6 acre art exhibition. Sally and Charles have put some much creativity and thought into their gardens, and they create and maintain them entirely themselves which seems like no small feat! It's very quiet and relaxing to sit on the balcony and feed the little robins and watch the parrots playing. The bird life is just gorgeous. Really wish we had stayed longer.

  • This gorgeous little solar-powered cottage is all you need for a tranquil getaway. We loved listening to the chorus of frogs by the dam outside each night. The beds were insanely comfortable and we all slept like logs, and lying in bed gazing at Pemberton's stunning tall trees is a brilliant way to start the day. Also, the cottage is really close to national park walks, a swimming lake (at Karri Valley Resort, where you can go to freely) and super cheap roadside fruit stalls (the fabulous host gave us directions), plus the town of Pemberton isn't far away. We will definitely be back.

  • Perfect location, literally 100m down the road from the Pemberton Visitors Centre, very central. Very stylish with beautiful features throughout. Good kitchenette with fridge, kettle, coffee machine etc.

  • Simona & Steve have a very comfy and modern place that was a fantastic place to stay. Everything is new and lots of nice little touches. Kitchenette is good but with no cooktop or microwave, cooking much more fun than toast is a challenge. Top tip, the pub does takeaway meals, there isn’t really too many other options in this quaint small town once darkness falls.

Between Northcliffe and Pemberton, the Single Kiln is part of a group of 4 cottages : Karri Hill Cottages. It was originally designed to dry tobacco and you can open the ventilation flaps in the roof on hot days, perfect for keeping it cool. It has magnificent views across the paddocks to the karri forest beyond. It has a well equipped kitchen with a gas stove and oven as well as a microwave. A wood fire will keep you warm on cold nights.
You will find this the perfect place to come and relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of the farm, surrounded by the mighty karri trees. The gorgeous blue wrens are sure to provide you with a show, as well as all the other birds that come and visit. We are situated at a crossing of the bibbulmun walking trail and the munda biddi cycling track. You can walk in the forest or around the farm, with its lake and many ponds. We also have a few second hand bikes that you can borrow to have a ride.
Northcliffe is 7 km away and to go to Pemberton, you can go via unsealed roads, passing by the Cascade Waterfalls, or via Northcliffe on sealed roads.
  • I love it. It's a great location. It's close to the national park. You can always see different kinds of birds in the garden, especially on farms and in orchards. In particular, the concept of Annie, I sincerely recommend to you.

  • A very comfortable and warm feeling home, in the forest and very close to Pemberton. Home had all we needed for a relaxing stay. Note only one TV channel and no cellular coverage but this was not an issue for us, nice to escape from these. Home is well looked after inside, outside is mostly natural forest regrowth

  • Cute little chalet surrounded by beautiful bush. A great spot to get away from it all, quiet, clean and very relaxing! Suited us and our 3 children great. Comfortable beds, kids loved the fire and being able to make cubby houses right outside the door. We also loved the area, lots of Bush walking, trout fishing and exploring to be done.

  • It is peaceful house. We could see wild kangaroos and kookaburras in the garden, so kids were excited there.

  • Mark’s cabin in the woods was a great little place to stay. The location was beautiful, the house had all you could need. It was great to play some board games with the family in front of the cosy fireplace.

  • Clean and cozy apartment in the forest. We were greeted by three kookaburras, which we really enjoyed. We felt comfortable and would come back anytime and the next time we would stay longer.
