One of the great advantages of staying at the Byre is the abundance of great walking and cycling in the area. Walkers can head up to the wild open space Blackdown, beside Blagdon Lake, into the forest at Stockton, the mellow woodlands tucked into the valleys at Velvet Bottom, or the huge hillfort at Dolbury Warren. Mountain bikers can ride wide forestry tracks or hair-raising downhill single tracks in the woodland near Rowberrow or tourers can ride the car-free Strawberry Line from Yatton to Wells or the maze of lanes on the Somerset levels around Wedmore and Glastonbury. • Awesome Eco apartment to stay in

    Rebecca2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • A very cosy and well presented place to stay. Close to local amenities we explored a bit of Bristol and was close to most things in a car.

    Natika2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place to stay and a bit different - basically exactly as described and in the photos!

    Seiriol2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We booked the TAM as a fairly last minute booking as a birthday weekend stay. The description of the location is accurate and it is situated within a gated community centre with secure locked gate system. The TAM provides everything we needed to just walk in and live for the weekend. We chose the TAM as are very interested in Eco friendly and sustainable living and this didn't disappoint. Even the paint on the walls has been created from natural materials. There is a supermarket only a 5 minute drive away so we were able to cook our own meals with ease. A very comfortable stay in a very clean and unique property.

    Amanda Jane2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Everything is clean and the tiny house is very nice. Really enjoyed our stay.

    Kim2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • The Ecohouse was perfect for our few nights getaway in Bristol... it had everything we needed, kitchen has all mod cons, and the essentials of course tea, coffee, oil, condiments and more bits . Bed was lovely ,soft and cosy with extra blankets and pillows if needed. Power shower en suite , lots of storage... Living space is big open plan with big patio doors on to a decking and little garden. Television with lots of channels & WiFi x We love to drive everywhere, (but I’m sure it’s pretty easy for getting about on Public transport )apart from getting an Uber to the O2 academy for our gig which I think was about £9 which we thought was reasonable. ....we parked my car on the street outside the house , as we weren’t sure we could park inside the gated area.

  • Wonderful stay in Bristol. I had a 2 day training course to attend at the Marriott hotel and found the studio to be within very close proximity. Parking wasn't an issue as I arrived after 5pm and was gone before 9am so could park right outside. The studio is simply beautiful and I love the decor. The bed was snuggly and very comfortable, the shower was powerful and with underfloor heating in the bathroom I didn't feel cold at all. I was extremely impressed with the variety of cereals, teas, coffees, hot choc and even little marshmallows! After a full day of travelling and training it was so easy to relax here, I just wished I could have stayed longer. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • Imagine a excellent stay in Bristol in a very Bristolian house... so this is much more farther. Beautiful, cozy with nice arty touches. And Hellen's warm welcome words can shake out all cold and rain drops from Your coat and soul. But watch out... it's hard to leave that place;))

  • Helen's accommodation is perfect to enjoy an ideal stay in Bristol. It is a large room with its own bathroom (and what a bathroom!), Very cozy and with two large comfortable beds. In the same room there is a kettle, teas, coffees, a bottle of water, glasses and cups, all prepared for a self service nothing to envy to a hotel. In addition, there are adapters for Spanish plugs (detail that for example saved us from solitary confinement because we don't even remember that we were going to have that handicap). White sheets, soft blankets and 4 pillows per bed, we could not sleep better. The hostess leaves a little carpet with information about what you can serve in the kitchen and about supermarkets and places of interest in Bristol. As for the private bathroom, it is renovated and is very modern; Helen leaves towels, gels and shampoo, hand soap, toilet paper and toothpaste. The wall shower is a shower tray with a screen with a transparent door, the shower head is on the ceiling. The house has total English air, wooden floors and stairs, are 3 floors. The kitchen was very nice, we could get bread, milk, make coffee and tea, fruit and also Helen has chickens and every morning there are fresh eggs available to enjoy. But in addition to all this, the owner Helen makes everything much more hospitable. He even made us a lemon pie! Super discreet, extremely friendly and available, it has been a success to choose your stay, we also went with two babies.

  • A very nice house in a convenient location in Bristol. We stayed here to get ready for a wedding, and there was loads of space for us all! Although it’s worth noting that there is only one bathroom. Very good value for money, and the check in was easy as there is a key safe. Parking is a little complex as there are a number of options depending on the time of the day, but Max was very helpful to let us know what to do, thanks!

  • Absolutely wonderful house. Very spacious with plenty of space for all 9 of us who stayed there. Location was amazing, 20 minute walk to the centre of town. Only downside was that we could only get 2 parking permits, although we had 3 cars which meant we had to pay for parking elsewhere for our 3rd car. Would highly recommend this house to anyone.

Treat yourselves to a relaxing stay in the beautiful Chew Valley. Set in peaceful, rural countryside yet within easy reach of Bath, Bristol and Wells, The Granary at Manor Farm is a beautiful old stone barn that has been converted to provide all the comforts you need for the perfect break. Bright and spacious with high ceilings, exposed beams, splashes of colour, contemporary furniture and access to an indoor pool and extensive gardens. ***Good Homes Magazine selected The Granary as one of their top ten 'Best UK Airbnbs with Stunning Interiors'.***
The Granary at Manor Farm is on the upper half of a traditional Somerset stone barn. The accommodation comprises a bright, spacious open plan living and kitchen area plus a bedroom and bathroom. All rooms enjoy high ceilings, original oak beams and lots of light from the south facing windows. We have designed it to be private, peaceful and to take full advantage of the views across the garden and lovely Somerset countryside beyond. The Granary benefits from underfloor heating throughout and a Morso wood burning stove, so plenty of comfort for those who enjoy a quiet night in. Where possible we have retained or recycled features from the Granary’s previous incarnations to achieve an appealing blend of the old and rustic with the new and comfortable. The furniture and fabrics are all new. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher and large Liebherr fridge freezer. In the living area there's a TV, Freesat and blu-ray player. The bedroom is simply furnished with a kingsize divan bed and high quality 400tc cotton bedlinen. The bathroom has a free-standing bath with a separate, spacious dual-head rain shower and a double basin. Outside, we hope you will enjoy the extensive garden which we open one day each summer for the National Garden Scheme. There are lovely areas to sit and we can lend you a barbecue if you would like to enjoy some al fresco dining. Beyond the garden we have a couple of paddocks which are (usually) occupied by sheep, and the garden is surrounded by fields, so it is not over-looked. You will also have access to our indoor heated swimming pool and conservatory area in the lower half of the Granary building. Please let us know in advance when you would like to use the pool and we can make sure that you have exclusive access at the arranged time. We provide towels and bedlinen, soap and kitchen essentials. Our welcome basket includes milk, bread, tea, coffee and home made preserves. If the dates you are looking for aren't available don't forget we also have Manor Farm B&B listed on Airbnb. A huge, luxurious en-suite bedroom, delicious breakfast and the use of the swimming pool!
Stowey is in the heart of the Chew Valley on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Chew Valley Lake offers first class opportunities for fishing, sailing and birdwatching. Rural walks and bike rides can be accessed from the door and we are right on the edge of the Mendips with further opportunities to explore the beautiful Somerset countryside. There are many great pubs & restaurants close by including the Michelin starred Pony & Trap. Bristol, Bath and Wells are all easily reached.
  • Immaculately clean, wonderfully peaceful and quiet, stylishly decorated, very warm (underfloor heating throughout), super comfortable beds and delicious homemade bread and jams. We stayed for our mini moon and enjoyed it so much we didn't want to leave. Richard is lovely and very responsive. Absolutely book this place.

    Victoria2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place is wonderful, we were welcomed with freshly baked bread and homemade jams! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook ourselves dinner. The bed was super comfy and everything was very clean. the view from this place was beautiful, and when the sun sets its really something! A nice touch to this place was the underfloor heating throughout, and the log burner, we stayed in March so it was quite cold out, but the flat remained very cosy and we didn't want to leave! Would highly recommend Richards place, and would definitely come again.

    Abigail2020-03-08T00:00:00Z

Come and stay in our newly refurbished delightful private annexe in the lovely Windmill Hill area. It is 20 minutes walk to the docks and centre, 3 minutes from food shops. Cosy up by the wood-burning stove or sit out in a private garden.
Our gorgeous little flat is an annexe at the bottom of the garden that we have lovingly converted out of a double garage. It has its own private entrance, so you will be totally self-contained, although we are only 100 feet away if you need us! It is really light and airy , as has high ceilings with velux windows, normal windows, and even a stained glass panel that a friend made especially for the place. There is a living room with a kitchen area. The kitchen area has wood work tops, and brand new appliances (which I wish I had in our own house!). The living area has a sofa, which converts into a very comfy sofa bed, a table and chairs and a woodburning stove, which heats the place up amazingly quickly, and is so cosy to sit in front of. There is a tv set up with Virgin media and loads of channels, and broadband. There are French doors which leads into the bedroom, which has a brand new bed, and storage. There is a shower/toilet room which leads off form bedroom. From the bedroom there is a back door, which leads you out to your own private garden, with a bench and some lovely planting, and 2 apple trees. Extra wood for the fire is stored under the bench for you to help yourself to.
Windmill hill is a very community spirited friendly neighbourhood. There are lots of community events, eg music in the park, arts trail, street parties, bonfire night, concerts in the church, fun day in park. It is right beside one of the nicest parks in Bristol, and conveniently located near the centre, but without seeming too busy.
  • Very welcoming place with nice breakfast. A bit cold the first night but the fireplace warms the room quickly. The bed is really comfy. Thanks!

Beautiful newly built lodge located in the stunning area of Winford. Built on the property of a family home, it’s only 20 minutes from busy city life in Bristol. Perfect for a rural retreat in the country side, completely private with own entrance.
A beautiful newly converted barn consisting of 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a great living and kitchen space which expands into a spacious private outside area via bi-fold doors. Travel cot and high chair available, please let me know if you will be using the washing machine during your stay.
The property is in a beautiful private rural location only a 25 minute drive from the centre of Bristol And 10 minute drive from Bristol airport. Chew Valley lake is a 5 minute drive away and there are several pubs within walking distance
  • Amazing stay.

  • A great place for our little family to stay while we were looking around the Chew Valley.

    Ainsley2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful, couldn’t have had a better to celebrate the wife’s 30th. The the house was safe for two small ones to play while still feeling it was designed for adults to stay. Great to watch some of the rugby World Cup on the modern TV. The outside was a relaxing space to enjoy, Unfortunately we live in only 25 minutes away; so we are trying to find excuses to holiday again so close to home. I’m sure we will think of something...

  • Lovely place, lovely host

    Josiah2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Mairead’s house is of a very high standard. Clean, well equipped and the host communicates promptly and effectively. There is everything you need for a comfortable stay, including some personal touches such as milk etc. If it is peace and quiet you want then this is the place as the location is very remote with a wider range of local amenities about 10 minutes drive away although there is a pub within walking distance. Car is essential.

    Vicki2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place, a little out the way, secluded. Good for families needing a base for cheddar or Bristol.

  • Very clean & modern , quick response to messages and very amenable host for late arrival. Comfortable beds & Great shower!

    Chloe2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A very clean and quiet place to stay. Perfect for our needs. My fiancé and I wanted somewhere quiet to relax for the night after spending the day in Bristol and found this the perfect place. The beds were very comfortable and we both slept very well. The bathroom was clean and the shower nice and powerful. A kettle with tea/coffee making facilities were provided, as well as a tv. Our host let us know that there were some local places we could go out and eat but as we had already eaten in Bristol we did not go out for food so unable to comment about what they are like. Overall, we had a comfortable stay and will not hesitate to book again if we are ever in the same area, cannot fault at all!

    Rachel2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We only stayed for one night but it was a perfect little stopover. Lovely clean and modern room with tea and coffee making facilities.

    Nicole2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly what was described if not better! Pub just around the corner for a quick bite to eat. Easy parking, no complaints at all.

    Tom2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful holiday rental, a bit out the way of Bristol but a lovely village none the less

    Amy2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommended - very clean, private and enjoyable. Will visit again.

    Vitaly2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had a very comfortable stay in Alison and Ian's lodge. We were happily welcomed shortly after we arrived (around 10pm), directed to parking and shown everything we needed inside the annex. Everything was spotless, the annex was warm and cosy throughout our stay; comfortable bed and powerful shower which is a huge plus for us! There were also two hot water bottles to warm the bed when we pulled back the sheets which was a lovely touch, particularly considering the late time and weather we arrived in. Despite the high-winds and rain at the time, the annex was very peaceful, secure and quiet, helped by being situated a little off of the main road through Chew Stoke village. Cutlery and plates were left in case we wanted to bring a takeaway/food back (which we did on our final night – a curry from The Stoke Inn Raj – 1-minute walking distance. Delicious and great for hot spice lovers!) as well as a guide recommending local eateries, Wifi code provided as well as gate code. The local pub, The Stoke Inn, also offers Sky Sports and BT (plus very reasonably-priced alcohol) which we (my partner) very much enjoyed for the Liverpool game! Sit-in food and takeaway options were also available. Location was just perfect for what we wanted: in the heart of the countryside whilst only being 20-minutes from Bristol City Centre one way and the gorgeous Cheddar Gorge 20-minutes the other, not far from Uphill Beach and Brean Sands, as well as Chew Valley Lake only a 3-minute drive away. Food options were plentiful with Chew Kitchen being a 7-minute walk away, Woodford Lodge overlooking Chew Valley Lake only 3-minutes’ drive or 20-minute walk away (both of which offered wonderful breakfasts/brunch) and Plume of Feathers only 15-minutes away in Blagdon. We also would recommend Riverstation Café near Queen’s Square in Bristol City – very easy to get to, big parking area right next to it and overlooks the river and colourful houses of Bristol. We only stayed for 3-nights so wasn’t able to explore much else (also considering Storm Dennis’ arrival) however we felt we had a lovely initial explore of the Bristol area, returning home feeling calm and very well looked after by the West Country – would hugely recommend - a real haven after a busy and blustery day out!

Very stylish, all the amenities you could ever wish for. The place was sparkling clean and it was very handy to get to the airport. The Coach House is a boutique-style, self-catering cottage attached to the Georgian House, Felton Villa. Guests have their own separate entrance and private garden. Conveniently close to Bristol airport and an easy drive to Bristol, Bath, Wells, Cheddar and the Coast, there is a range of lovely country gourmet pubs in the region. It is designed for a small group but has a maximum capacity of 6 people if 2 couples use the 2 kingsize beds and 2 single beds downstairs. But this gets "cosy".
    • The Coach House is designed as a boutique-style, romantic attached cottage for a small group. Its maximum capacity is 6 people - 2 people sharing a kingsize master bedroom. An extra couple sleeping in the kingsize bed on the landing room (less romantic) and 2 people sleeping downstairs (on either folding beds, or a twin bedsit called "The Stable" ( if it has not already been let out separately)). Please note: If a bigger group (5 to 6) books I do try to block out the attached twin bedsit ("The Stable") for them (if I can), but it's not guaranteed as it has its own booking calendar on Air BnB and is a separate source of income. The expectation for the maximum capacity of 6 people is 2 couples upstairs and 2 singles downstairs on folding beds (but this does compromise living space so I do try to open up "The Stable" twin bedsit but it's not always possible as it can be booked separately). If you're a group of 5 or 6 by all means check with me first if the extra twin bedsit is available and consider whether or not you're prepared to be "cosy" downstairs on folding beds if it's not. • The Coach House has its own separate front door, private garden and is self-check-in using a key box next to the front door. • The Coach House is an annexe to our main house Felton Villa. • The front door to "The Stable" bedsit is next door to the Coach House front door (and there's and internal adjoining door which can be bolted shut or opened depending on circumstances) • Items for tea and coffee making (including milk) are freely provided, and the apples are complimentary • Whilst staying at the Coach House, parking is “on street” at the side of the property (however, this space is not for "airport parking") • The Smart TV has free access to Netflix, etc. • A travel cot (with bedding), baby monitors, sink steps and a high chair is available upon request as are all the other family amenities described on this site • The Middle/ Landing bedroom is a walk through room from the Master to the bathroom. A screen is used for added privacy. It has a kingsize bed. • Walking maps for the surrounding countryside and into the Mendips are available to borrow. • WiFi is free. • There is a post office 5 min drive with all the main newspapers and a small village shop • The village pub (The George and Dragon ) is only a 5-10 minute walk away and serves lunch and dinner (and also has a tea room) • The Prince of Waterloo pub is a 5 min drive and serves lunch and dinner • A 10 min drive into the surrounding Chew Valley villages have a variety country pubs • Local takeouts include Indian (Chew Stoke), Chinese (Winford), Fish and Chips (Backwell). The Salt and Malt looking over the Lake is lovely, and the Pony and Trap in Chew Magna also serves excellent food. • Chew Valley lake offers a range of activities • Pets are welcome (but please let me know in advance so I can allow extra time for cleaning (from experience) • The village of Felton has both boarding kennels and a cattery next door for holidaymakers • There is a large children's outdoor playpark in the village 5-10 min walk from the property • Smokers are welcome but please smoke outside, and if there's a lot of you please quieten down by 10 pm as it is a residential neighbourhood Please note: Bedroom 2 is a Middle/ Landing walk-through bedroom with a kingsize bed. A screen is provided for privacy.
    • Felton is a small village on the north of the Mendip Hills. Whilst the village does not lie directly under the flight path, the airport is very close by so you can see the planes coming and going. As a result there is quick access to the main road and excellent public transport links. • The property has the benefit of lying in 5 acres of farmland in a small country village yet has fast and direct access to the city of Bristol and the airport giving it the best of both worlds.
  • max: perfect space, alisons got a eye for style and great value too! Was exactly what we needed, we’ll be back. chaz: Alison has really thought of everything, the little pots of marmite were a great touch. • We arrived for a very cold weekend to find that, not only had Susan warmed the place up for us, but that she had put us in Apple Tree Cottage which is bigger because the people who had booked it weren't coming ... so this review is for Apple Tree Cottage. There were supplies ready for us, so that we were able to have a welcome cup of tea or coffee straight away. The cottage consists of a very well equipped kitchen, with washing machine and dish-washer, and a good sized cooker, micro-wave, toaster, kettle etc. In the living-room there are two comfortable leather sofas and a sofa-bed. There are books and games and information about the area ready for you. Upstairs is a really 'cottagy' bedroom with a real antique sturdy bedstead with knobs, which doesn't squeak at all! There is a single fold-up futon mattress in the bedroom too. There is bedding for the sofa-bed - which also has a 'topper' to make it extra comfy. The only minor downside is that the cottage is near a busy road, but it didn't disturb us at all, and it was very quiet at night.

  • I’d like to thank Susan for allowing us to stay at their farm house. It was lovely and quiet (until we got there). It was such a nice little place, perfect for the 4 of us to stay. Even the little things like milk and cereal etc was so helpful for us because we got there so late. Thanks Susan for the hospitality and we will keep you in mind for our next visit.

    Steven2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Really lovely accommodation Susan was very nice. I loved all the little extra touches in the house having breakfast, fruit and biscuits there was a real bonus. I would love to return again.

  • Clean and cozy annex at the corner of a large farm house. The beautiful rural location is perfect for relaxing and going for walks. It was quiet and we slept well! Only issue was some difficulty finding it because the address given by airbnb was incorrect but Susan gave us the correct post code and then we had no problems.

The Gin Bar is at the bottom of our garden. This double ensuite guest room is separate to the main house, has its own entrance and a parking space is available for guests. We are conveniently situated less than a few minutes from Bristol Airport’s Long Stay Car Park and literally five minutes from the main terminal, however we are in a countryside location and not in the main flight path - so in a perfect spot for a good nights sleep before you fly!
The Gin Bar is at the bottom of our garden ... often used as guest accommodation and very occaisionally stripped out and used as a bar for parties! The shower room has had a recent refit, so is all fresh and lovely! We want it to be easy for you to stay, so towels, shampoo, conditioner & shower gel are provided. A hairdryer is also provided. A travel cot is available on request We are just a few minutes from the airport, so in a fantastic location for early/late flights. We can point you in the direction of a couple of great pubs just a couple of minutes drive away.
We are in amongst agricultural farming countryside - pretty to look at, sometimes comes with farmyardy smells! We are surrounded by fields and yet just a really short distance (just a couple of miles) from the airport. There are some super dooper places to eat locally and access to airport car parking is really easy from us. We are also really close to several local wedding venues including Combe Lodge, Winford Manor & Barley Wood.
  • Beautiful quirky cottage in gorgeous gardens with free parking and WIFI. Sara is so helpful and its SO close to the airport - we can’t wait to stay there again!

HOME “The Den” is a purpose-built ground floor double en-suite guest room, separate and opposite our main house. It has its own entrance and a parking space is available for our guests. An ideal choice for a pre or post stay when flying in or out of Bristol International Airport. We are conveniently situated one minute’s drive from the silver zone long stay car park and two minutes from the main terminal, however we are in a peaceful country side location and not under the flight path.
“The Den” is used as guest accommodation and has just been purpose built, including 1 x King Size bed, 1 x Single bed and brand new shower room etc. We appreciate that a stay with us is normally at the start or end of your holiday, so we want to make it as pleasant as possible. There is ample room to host a Travel Cot, can be supplied if required or bring your own. Parking is included in the price for each night of your stay. If parking is required for more than one night or for more than your stay with us (eg while your away) then please contact us to discuss – we can arrange limited number of Holiday Parking stays at a small additional charge we can also arrange to shuttle you to/from the airport. Please contact us for prices. Please note: we are up a farm lane/track which is 'work in progress' and a little bumpy in places, please bear with us. Unfortunately we are unable to accept arrivals after 10pm.
We do have dogs and cats around the house, but they are never allowed in “The Den”. Due to the proximity of our home we do not cater for stag and hen parties. The accommodation is better suited to single travellers, couples or small families. “The Den” is ideal accommodation for pre or post night travels for flights at Bristol Airport or longer periods as a base to explore Bristol and Somerset
  • Definitely recommend staying here, so close to the airport and Mell even offers a parking space and drop off and pick up at the terminal for small extra charge which is a lot cheaper than parking at the airport! Very modern space with a comfy bed and powerful shower. Nice little amenities for breakfast in the morning and fresh milk provided. Great touches, great host! Will definitely stay again on our next trip away, Mell was quick to reply to queries and very friendly too. Highly recommend 11/10!!

Burnby Cottage is a quirky wooden framed, tin clad cottage, sitting on the banks of a stream. Although small it feels much bigger with a fully equipped kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. It can sleep 4 people with the use of the sofa bed. It features a wood burning stove, (don't worry it also has central heating), a gorgeous mural across one wall, a verandah for sitting and watching the world go by...oh and it also has full WiFi, smart TV and sound system if this all sounds a little rustic.
Although small it has a beautifully spacious feel with the verandah making it feel even bigger. The entire back wall is covered by a mural of trees painted by a local artist. Enjoy cosy winter evenings by the wood burning stove or sunny summer ones swinging in the hammock on the verandah. For the more technologically minded the cottage has full wifi, a smart tv and bluetooth soundbar. One thing to bear in mind is there is no mobile signal in the village, so if you want to get away from the rat race then you won't be disturbed :) The cottage was built by ourselves from reclaimed timber, everything from the pine cladding to the nifty mobile charging point was built by hand. We have had a lot of fun sourcing vintage and retro items from far and wide, the bedroom curtains were found in a street market in Madrid. The woodburner was made by a little company in Caerphilly. We built the cottage in our own garden with our own hands and loved doing it, not everything is perfectly made but we have tried our very best to make Burnby Cottage a very special place to stay.
Situated in the village with walking, riding, cycling, caving, climbing, fishing all within 5 to ten minutes. Walk from the cottage through the woods to Blagdon Lake. For the more adventurous Burrington Combe in the Mendip Hills with it's caves and climbing are only ten minutes drive. Or you might like to cycle through the lanes to Sandford and explore the Strawberry Line which will take you through stunning countryside all the way into Cheddar. We are close to Bristol, Bath and the lovely cathedral city of Wells. The village is very quiet but there are numerous pubs within a 5 minute drive. If you want some excitement you may be able to persuade Charlie to take you caving in the Mendip Hills or if shopping is your thing then Helen runs a vintage and retro stall at the Cheddar car boot sale.
  • Simple bedroom and sitting room accommodation next to the hosts' house. The entry is via a keypad so there is no need to arrange to meet the hosts although their communication was prompt. The bed was comfortable and all amenities worked well. The whole place was spotless. Overall it was perfect for our needs.

    Manuele2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great property in a great location plus Charlie and Helen were great hosts!

    Gerard2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great, cosy place to stay! Perfect for watching a movie and sitting by the log burner, also great surroundings and walks you can do. Everything inside was very high quality and clearly well built and cared for. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wishing to get away for some peace and quiet!

    Robert2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent little gem of a hideaway! Quirky, cosy and with everything you need with great little personal touches. Highly recommend Charlie and Helen as hosts!

    Lindsay2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Charlie and Helen are great hosts who make you instantly feel welcome , explain how everything works, then leave you to enjoy ( even though they are next door, you are given your privacy). The cabin is beautifully made and thoughtfully appointed with just the right balance of pretty arty bits and clever tech. The heating and shower are fab( vital on a freezing , wet February evening) ,the little wood burner is a sinch to light and the big TV cleverly placed on the wall makes for a perfect wind down after a day exploring the sights. We sat on the veranda and watched the sunset with a glass ( wishing it was summer !) You can easily cook meals in the kitchen area or just enjoy a welcome cuppa with the thoughtfully provided supplies. The bedroom is beautiful and comfortable, as is the sofa bed. We enjoyed the local pub in Blagdon ,the New Inn ,that does home cooked food and allows dogs. Dont forget the stream ! It sent me to sleep each night. The best place I have booked so far !! Love it.

    Suzy2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful cottage! I can't recommend it enough. The attention to detail and finishing touches made it feel like a home away from home. It's quirky and cute with everything you could need and more! A beautiful base for us for the evening and we only wish we had stayed longer.

    Charlotte2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for a valentine’s treat and took the dogs with us too. It was a beautiful little cottage with lots of character and you can tell it’s well looked after and loved. The owner seemed very proud and rightly so and she was very welcoming when we arrived. Nice facilities so we could enjoy our food and drink in. Lovely powerful shower and nice little touches like the fresh towels and quirky decor. We’d definitely stay here again. 1 thing for people to know it is right next to someone’s house, not everyone’s cup of tea but not a problem for us and felt like a private, enjoyable getaway! Thanks Charlie & Helen

Manor Farm Barn offers extremely spacious, detached accommodation in an idyllic countryside setting - just a few miles outside Bristol city centre yet surrounded by fields overlooking the Chew Valley. Suitable for guests that want to relax in the countryside (with great walks and pubs in the surrounding areas) or as a stopover before/ after flights from Bristol Airport (5 miles away). Come and relax in this beautiful area of North Somerset - we love it and are sure you will too!
The Barn is a separate building to the main farmhouse, with its own entrance, so ensures privacy for guests, yet the owners are close by should you have any queries.
  • Although three of two days in my stay it was rain, but since this house had everything I needed for a cooking, bathing and enjoyment with stunning view from the terrace, I was greatly satisfied without going out. Beautiful property with breathtaking views, very clean kitchen and useful bath amenities. I recommend everyone!

    Nanae2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful location and the barn has fantastic views which add to the relaxing feel of the property. Great for stay with a dog with walks from door and short drive to Bristol which was perfect for us visiting family. Barn well equipped with lovely touch of spare toiletries should you forget something!

  • What a lovely place to stay. Really clean, warm, comfortable and roomy. All tastefully decorated. Fully equipped with everything we needed. Loads of places to visit in Bristol and surrounding countryside. The views are amazing and the whole atmosphere was very peaceful. Love to come back in the Summer to do some walking.

  • This is a really great Airbnb to stay in. Tons of space, quality fixtures and fittings, very comfy bed and a very well equipped kitchen. Sam gave us some great tips where to eat and was extremely welcoming. Good communication and access details. Thoroughly recommended

  • We had a lovely stay at the Manor Farm Barn. Great location, stunning scenery and close to Bristol. Hosts were away but the communication was great and instructions very clear. The apartment had everything we needed for self catering. All in all, a very nice break in a comfortable space. Would definitely recommend.

    Lize2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The barn was very clean and as pictured. We had a good time.

    Molly2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Sam was such a brilliant host, quick to help with anything we needed. Such a great stay, close to youthful Bristol City and yet completely rural at the same time. The property feels remote and peaceful surrounded by beautiful views, farms and great places to walk. The space is all on one level which was perfect for our 1 year old to crawl around safely. We love to cook and the kitchen was perfect equipped. We loved the original beams and the fluffy white towels. Thanks for everything Sam, we’ll be back. Chris, Freya & Arlo

We are in a lovely quiet residential area but still only 15-20 min drive into town. (30 minute by bus) Our house backs onto a lovely wooded area and has a large decking area where you can sit and have your breakfast (English weather permitting!) Sorry but the lounge is private.
Headley Park is a lovely, quiet residential area. We are only 25-30 minutes to bristol city centre which has hundreds of shops, bars and restaurants. North street is about 7-10 mins by car and has lots of great cafe bars, pubs and restaurants. There is a Cineworld about 10 minutes drive with a chain pub, McDonalds, and KFC. Quiet house with a single room for rent situated in a cul-de-sac with my partner and myself. ( And the animals) I like music (a lot) so please expect to hear some being played and also expect to hear the drums every now and then as I am an active musician that records at home. Lots of public transport links to the centre and close to Bottle yard studios.
  • A lovely welcome from charming people.

    Steve2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Where can i start? The experience in James and Nicky's house was wonderful! They made me feel at home from the beginning and I spent only good time with them! Their house is not far from the airport of Bristol, located in a very quiet area, very well served by buses that go directly to the city center. The room was really comfortable and with everything I needed. I also met Mister Watson and Meowgi, two of the cutest pets in the universe <3 ...and yes, James sometimes listens to music in his studio: but always and only very good music ;) Thank you guys... I will miss you a lot.

You will be stay in a log cabin over looking the city of Bristol with all the home comforts with an ensuite bathroom outside you have your own picnic table and fire pit on site there’s a communal restroom with a pool table just 300yards away there’s a country pub for all your food and drink
  • It’s a really good place to be away from the city and at the same time have a glimpse of Bristol because of the breathtaking view. The houses are really cozy with great heating and clean. If there were shampoo and stuff in the bathroom that would be better but still worth it

    Sardar2020-01-30T00:00:00Z

    Anna2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Just visited this location last night, such a lovely little unique pod with a great view would’ve been better with a clearer night of-course, less than 5 minute drive to the local Chinese and shops and around 15 minutes to the centre of Bristol less than 10 minutes to the local supermarket and around 20 minutes away from Bristol airport. You will not need to bring duvet pillows or bedding this is all provided along with two towels and a hair drier. Cuttlery and crockery in the pods how ever you’ll need pots and pans if you decided you were going to cook. I’m a very cold person and surprisingly I had to turn the heater off during the night as it was very warm! Hand wash toilet roll available, need to provide your own soap and shampoo. One pod can fit 4 people in there’s a sofa bed that pulls out allowing two more people to sleep in it. I stayed in the Severn bridge view pod not lodge as it states on the post. Only downfall was main lights weren’t working and check in was later in the day (3pm) but other than that over all a beautiful place would definitely recommend this place if you are visiting Bristol!

    Nazia2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great little Pied-a-terre. Very clean and comfortable. Fantastic views over bristol. Very easy check in. Close to Bristol and some pretty villages like Chew Magna. a couple of pubs close by. Would visit again if needed a place to stay whilst visiting Bristol overnight.

The bedroom is a cosy double perfect for guests, fitted with double bed, bedside draws and a good sized wardrobe. Wifi of course included. You'll also have use of the kitchen, with cooking and eating utensils, living and dining room. There's also a beautifully large garden with deck chairs to enjoy. Situated off Airport road, within 20 mins walk of South Bristol Community Hospital, Hengrove Park, and large stores. Bus stops to town are close, allowing transport to Temple Meads in 20-30mins.
You're free to make of it what you will. Whether you're just after a place to sleep after exploring the city, or prefer to hang around the house and watch tv or play in the garden, the choice is yours. It's near enough to town and they're plenty of space in the house to do either of those things. Expect me to chat and check everything's ok. Otherwise I'll mostly crack on with my own things. The area is residential and so it's quiet in the evening and I like it that way. So whatever you do expect a good rest at the end of the day. The bed is very comfortable :)
Residential. But with good local amenities such as a large supermarket, cinema and several fast food outlets.
  • Charles is a very chilled and kind person. You straight away feel at home. You can cook, wash your clothes, watch TV. There is no restrictions such as having a curfew or not being allowed to cook certain foods. He gave me a great list of recommendations for me to explore Bristol. You can get the m1 bus into the centre in about 30mins. Very easy to get about. I will stay again.

    Katie2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Charles has a lovely home with a great spare room. The room is bright and clean. You have access to the entire house if you choose to use it. His home is the one of the few on the southern side of Bristol, making it convient if you are working on that side of town. His home is close to the express bus stop if you need to get into town.
