“They don't call Elmore the beauty spot of Vermont for no reason. Drive up Route 12 to the state park and hoof it for about an hour to the top of the firetower where you can enjoy panoramic views along the green mountains from Belvidere to Camels Hump and along the Worcester Range. Afterwards, go for a swim in Lake Elmore. This is an easy to moderate hike depending and I consider it 'low hanging fruit' considering the payoff.”
