  • Sue and Greame were exceptional hosts. Always there if you needed them but not at all intrusive. Their guest areas were perfect, a lovely big and comfy living room and excellent bedrooms and comfy beds. Their cooked breakfast was absolutely amazing. Can't recommend them highly enough.

  • Air B & B experiences don't come better than this! Sue and Graeme were the most hospitable hosts you can find and we were made to feel very much at home in their beautiful house located in a wonderful part of the country. Everything was impeccable including a delicious breakfast with choice of breads from the local bakery and locally sourced produce (including their own home grown tomatoes). As well as very comfortable bedrooms & large bathroom there was a sitting room available for our use with tea and coffee making facilities + biscuits / fruit -bowl. Off -road parking. Every little touch you might expect from a 5 Star hotel was here! Sue & Graeme-thank you both so very much. As mentioned we would like to book in again for next April.

  • We could not have picked a better place to meet up with our daughter for a short break during her final year as a medical student. We have never experienced such a warm welcome or such generous hospitality in any of the places we have stayed previously and we would recommend a stay at Chalway House unreservedly. We were delighted by the extremely comfortable and spacious accommodation and especially appreciated the wonderful breakfasts. Woore is a charming village that is comfortably within reach of a wide variety of attractive places to visit including nearby Audlem, Wedgewood Pottery Museum and the superb Dorothy Clive and Wollerton Old Hall gardens. We really look forward to a return visit!

  • We had a great over night stay with Sue and Graeme. The bedrooms were very comfortable and had everything you would need. We also had our own bathroom and use of a reception room downstairs to watch tv, make a drink and relax in; the listing was very accurate. We enjoyed a lovely plentiful breakfast at a time of our choosing. There was excellent communication prior to arrival with advice on a place to eat and Sue kindly booked us a table at a local pub. It was nice to chat with Sue and Graeme during our stay and we were made very welcome, thank you!!

  • We had a lovely time staying with Sue and Graeme, who made us feel welcome from the beginning and even helped give us a lift when we weren't able to find a taxi. The rooms were spacious and very clean and they provided everything they said in the listing. Close by car and foot to the village and to the beautiful countryside. Highly recommended.

  • If you want to have a good time with pleasant persons, have a stay at Woore ! Sue & Graeme will welcome you very gently. The place is very peaceful and you'll have the sensation you stay in your own house because your hosts are discrete but very attentive. Rooms are large, beds are comfortable, the bathroom is yours, the breakfast is amazing ! And if you want to speak about tennis, it will be a pleasure.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Stables - hands down the best Airbnb we have stayed in! The accommodation was very stylish and clean, furnished and decorated extremely well and you could tell that a lot of love and effort had gone into setting up this place . It has everything that you could possibly need - and things such as milk, bread, oil, coffee & tea were all there to help you feel at home as soon as you arrive and there were some delicious strawberry tarts also waiting for us when we arrived! The beds were all very comfortable and showers were strong. All six of us were extremely impressed with everything. Marie was extremely helpful at answering questions and nothing seemed too much. We were in the area for a wedding at Iscoyd Park (about 30 mins away) originally intending to stay there for the night. However, we are SO glad that we stumbled across The Stables on Airbnb, ending up making a long weekend of it as it looked so nice and the self-catering aspect was more appealing. Marie very kindly booked a taxi for us (Kevin, the driver was very friendly and we would recommend using him if you need a taxi during your stay) and offered to help book a restaurant for Sunday lunch. One of Marie's suggestions for things to do on the Sunday after the wedding was a trip to the Trentham Estate. This was a fab place - a mixture of shopping, food drink and very beautiful gardens and walks. On a Sunday this is great as the shops don't close until 5:30pm. If you're there around 5pm and wanting to go into the gardens - the entrance fee is reduced to £5.75 after 5 and well worth it. Many thanks to Marie and her husband for making this weekend a memorable one and we feel in love with the area. We've already started to plan when we will return!

  • Jayne & her husband are lovely people & excellent hosts. We had a very late arrival & they were very understanding. The house & garden are absolutely beautiful. The bed is the comfiest bed I've ever slept in!! They've gone above & beyond to ensure they've covered everything you need. Lovely little touches. Shame we couldn't stay longer as we were just passing through. Breakfast was delicious! A very happy stay here :)

  • We were welcomed with a cup of tea and a chat. The listing was accurate except that it didn't mention the small spiral staircase, which would be difficult for an elderly person to use. The neighbourhood is a quiet rural one with good pubs nearby.

    Liz2016-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful place to stay. Lovely welcome. Beautifully presented and I slept better than at home! Comfortable bed, blackout blinds, quiet surroundings, your own part of the house, hot shower, beautiful furniture... All that's missing is a yoga class in the back garden!

  • What a wonderful place to stay. The photos don't do it justice, it's fabulous and in a fantastic location. The accommodation was bigger than I expected and has everything you need with very comfortable beds. I can imagine in the colder weather the wood burner would make it very cosy. We will definitely be returning in the future and are glad we found it.

  • This is an absolutely beautiful little cottage in a lovely location. Bridgemere and the surrounding areas have some gorgeous countryside - perfect for long walks through fields or by canals. The local villages are charming, as well. Graham and Eileen were fantastic hosts! They are very friendly and accommodating. The cottage is wonderfully appointed - it has a wood-burning stove that was very easy to use and made the whole place extremely cosy. My seven-year-old daughter was particularly delighted by the chickens that Graham and Eileen keep. There was nothing the cottage was lacking for a wonderful few days in the countryside. We definitely hope to return!

  • Our stay was splendid, we all loved this little cottage! All information was completely accurate, as were the pictures, but didn't account for the light, the swallows, the friendly buzzard, the sheer charm of the place or the size of the kitchen and height of the ceilings, both of which were surprisingly generous! Directions and instructions were accurate and competent. The tub was an especial joy, of course, and incredibly easy to use.

    Oskar2015-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely fantastic what a relaxing and friendly place. Stayed there to do a half iron man. Couldn't have been better

    Tash2017-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem! We stayed here to celebrate a friend's 50th birthday and it was fabulous! We were warmly welcomed by Adam who made us feel at home straight away. There was a complimentary basket of goodies in the kitchen to welcome us too, which was such a lovely touch. Every room was delightful with quality soft furnishings and everything you could possibly need. The bedding and towels were particularly lovely; and the beds were so comfortable. The hot tub was a brilliant addition and is perfectly situated for watching the sunsets. Even beach towels were provided to use when hot-tubbing which was really helpful. We all said we would love to return to this idylic spot. Thanks so much Adam and Ann.

    Joy 2014-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was amazing, even better than we imagined! It offered all the facilities you could need and Adam and Ann had even left a hamper full of goodies! Perfect for our girls weekend away we enjoyed the tub and got out to explore the local area. We walked into Audlem where there are a number of great pubs and enjoyed a local folk festival. Although we never met Adam and Ann they where great hosts and helped with directions when we got lost!! Will definitely be back!

  • Very pretty little cottage, set in farmland which has lovely views. It is a nice space to stay in for a few days, with a lovely bit of decking that houses the hot tub looking over fields. Great views in the early evening from the deck. Hosts were very nice and helpful. And being able to take our horse was a nice touch too. Would recommend staying if in the area, the local villages are very nice and the Lord Combermere in Audlem was really nice.

    Matthew2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • A charming country cottage ideally located for exploring the surrounding countryside with easy access for train day trips into Liverpool via Crewe. Surrounded by stunning countryside and many beautiful public gardens to explore. Audlem is a short drive away and has several pubs along the canal. An ideal country retreat. My place is good for couples, individuals, and business travellers. Set on a farm in rural Shropshire but accessible, 12 miles from the M6.
The accommodation is a recently restored Georgian kitchen and scullery, separate from the main house, with the original 19th century bread oven as a central feature.
Beautiful rural Shropshire, in 36 acres of park and farm land which you are welcome to roam through. The local village is Norton-In -Hales which is walking distance to a very nice pub.
  • I had a wonderful stay at the bread oven. The place was very clean and I found it very easy to settle in. Ingrid recommended a lovely pub which was walking distance of the house. It was a very peaceful stay and I was pleased with the distance of the property to shops and main roads. I would definitely stay here again as I thoroughly enjoyed my time.

Flat is in a great semi rural location - near to Keele University, Nantwich and Newcastle Under Lyme. Within 5 minute drive you can be either in the lovely Cheshire countryside or on the M6! Madeley is a great friendly village with shops, takeaways, 3 pubs and a lake..all within 5 minutes walk of the flat...
Flat has just been newly carpeted throughout and a new heater installed. Brand new double bed too...Its a small flat but perfectly formed and has ,hopefully, everything you require for a lovely relaxing stress free stay! You need anything atall-just shout! Guests have full use of the flat. It is in a block of 8 so I would ask for consideration if you are coming home late from the pub etc! Neighbours are all great though. Flat is on 1st floor with entry phone access so very secure. There is a dedicated parking space outside.
The village is lovely and at the heart of it is a beautiful lake overlooked by an old mill house and one of the village pubs. Open countryside surrounds us with plenty of great walks and exploring to be done.but equally easy access to town with many shops, bars, pubs, restaurants, gym, pool, cinema, escape room and bowling alley.
  • Lovely and convenient to m6 and a51. We used this to break our journey from London to Liverpool. The flat is a perfect spot for that, but the area seemed like it would be a great base for exploring the peaks. Really pretty area. Perfect for couples. Jane was also so helpful.

    Caz2017-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Jane was super accommodating and patient with us. Flexible, prompt with replies and assistance, friendly. The flat was all we needed for a family friendly base to explore the amazing Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent areas. Lovely park close by, beautiful walks. Easy walk to local shops, restaurants and though we had our own car, there were bus stops within walking distance too.

    Lea2017-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great base to explore Staffordshire and the Peak District.

    Philip2017-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Is in a quiet area easy to get to and generally a nice place to stay, only issue was bed sheet appeared to not have been changed as there was lots of hair on it plus kitchen bin was not emptied. When paying a £20 cleaning fee would expect clean sheets as minimum.

    Matthew2017-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jayne was a great host. I was in town for a stoke match. She was kind enough to recommend me transportation to and from the game. About a 15-20 minute drive from the stadium. Easily could get a cab or go by the bus. Awesome town with awesome beer and even better food. Oh and awesome people! That place was great. Good size and very clean. Everything you need including a washer and wifi.

  • Excellent apartment with accurate description.

    Shane2017-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very cozy apartment in a residential enclave of Madley. The apartment contains everything you might need for a comfortable stay. I think it's one of the better equipped airbnb's. You can even wash your clothes. The neighborhood is pleasant and there are walking paths everywhere. There is a beautiful little lake full of ducks and geese close by. We stayed there a week and checked out Liverpool, Chester and Snowdonia. Snowdonia is mountainous and stunning and a perfect place to hike or kayak! Jayne is a perfect hostess and I highly recommend her Airbnb!

    Enola2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Jayne's flat, it's a nice quiet area with good shopping and food a short drive away. It's a good central spot if you are planning on doing short day trips by car. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Jayne was also very friendly and accommodating with all of our questions and needs. Thanks again Jayne!

  • Lovely location, perfect for our short stay, very accommodating hosts and a great breakfast - I'd highly rate this airbnb. Thanks a lot !

  • Flawless house and wonderful couple Liz & Cal. They make us to feel like in our own home. Cal prepares an outstanding breakfast every morning and he is talkative and helpful. The house is surrounded by large green areas of prairies and big trees and it is only fifteen minutes long of Stoke-on-Trent which it was perfect for our planes. The dogs are lovely and quickly became friends. I strongly recommend this place.

  • Hi Liz Thanks for being a great host, we had a good week and couldn't have wanted for more. Hope to stay again in the future. Regards Andy

    Andy2016-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Liz & her husband are wonderful hosts, make you feel v welcome indeed. V friendly & flexible without being intrusive. Bedroom & bathroom are comfortable & clean. Breakfast is good with flexible times (included in price). We were lucky that there were no other guests. I would not like to share a bathroom with strangers. Quite pricey for having no en suite, but there are few places nearby if you need to be in that area.

    Sian2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Chata kothi was beautiful! The rooms were very clean and everything was as described. But the best thing about our stay was Liz and Cal themselves. They were really friendly and the breakfast was delicious. The scenery around the house was beautiful too and was a nice break from the city.

    Ada2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay in this very comfortable and welcoming home. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and Liz served us the most delicious breakfast. There is a lovely pub a short walk down the road where we went for a quick drink before bed. Liz and Cal made us a cup of tea and we had a nice chat in the lounge before going up to bed. We loved the two dogs and cats. The bedrooms were comfortable and warm. Perfect b&b experience.

We ate at the Naaz Indian restaurant in town (great for veggies). Bring pans and a stove if you want to cook. There's a hot plate and microwave but just a Pyrex bowl and to cook with.

  • This is such a fun and cosy place to stay. The accommodation provides everything you need, and is surprisingly spacious and comfortable. John has made use of every nook to design the perfect quirky retreat. The nearest town Nantwich was lovely, with lots of independent restaurants. John provided a very warm welcome, and the surroundings are beautiful, with the cows providing a great view from the window.

Audlem is a very friendly, pretty village . Living here is a joy as I feel part of a very caring community. We have a local Co-op, delicatessen, dry cleaners, fabulous butcher , Chemist and newsagents which sells all sorts of diy n more. Cycling is very popular around here and apart from a wonderful bike shop, there are three 3 cafes and 3 pubs which are handy if you don't feel like cooking. Also a fish and chip shop and kebab shop, which close at 8.30pm. There are lots of lovely local walks and of course down by the canal , barges and wildlife to see.
  • Its a cool apartment, in a quiet, pretty village. I liked the deco and that both bedrooms have en-suites. It is on the 1st floor. There was off road parking. Get the key code and house name before you travel.

  • A beautiful apartment in a lovely village. We stayed at Sue's home while at CarFest and it was an absolute delight to come home to such comfort after a hard day's trudging around the music festival. Sue was incredibly helpful during the booking/arrival process, and the thoughtful touches (fresh milk/bread etc) were greatly appreciated. Hope to be back again to enjoy the apartment and village properly in the future.

Gorgeous rural cottage with idyllic sunny flower filled garden and stunning views from every window.
Light and airy space with a newly completely renovated interior of calm neutrals. Lots of lovely features including exposed stone walls in the kitchen and living room. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, all doubles and all have countryside views. The bathroom has both a bath and a nice large shower. Downstairs there are two living rooms, the main one having a multi fuel log burner. Outside a large flower filled cottage gardenwith roses, box hedging, large lawned area, decking area, garden furniture, picnic bench & BBQ.
Best of both worlds, rural & quiet, at the moment you can hear the woodpeckers tapping in the fields behind the cottage, yet only 5 mins drive to the town of Market Drayton and supermarkets/shops. Plenty of lovely diverse walks & bike rides straight from the door, taking you along country lanes, woods, fields and nearby canal. Just down the road into Norton in Hales is a renown destination gastro pub the Hinds Head, seriously good food! Great location base for sightseeing & activities, The fabulous Hawkstone follies is 15 mins away, highly recommend a visit. Also the Chris Bearshaw favoured garden Wollerton Old Hall, also 15 mins, if you love gardens this is a must see. Convenient also for medieval Shrewsbury which boasts over 660 listed black timber framed listed buildings and also a castle and an Abbey 30 mins.

  • Four of us stayed at Sean and Lisa's house for a weekend away and we had a really great time. They were away when we visited but Lisa gave my friends a call when they arrived and left a key out for us. She talked them through where everything was in the house and how to use things. The location of the cottage is rural and quiet with some great views out of the back over the surrounding farmland. Phone reception is patchy (I was able to get 3G at certain points in the house) and there is no WiFi but it's good for a weekend away from it all! The garden is big and caught a good amount of sun whilst we were there. The house itself was clean and nicely presented. The kitchen was nicely set up with underfloor heating and all of the cooking utensils etc that we needed were provided. The houses heating is provided by a multi-fuel burner stove in the lounge. This burner then provides heated water to the radiators in the other rooms of the house. The burner was really nice to have but it did take a while to get the rest of the house heated. I think this would be a consideration if booking the house at a cold time of year. Wood and coal was provided which lasted us the weekend but I could imagine going through this fairly quickly in the colder months. There is a store nearby to buy supplies although we did not need to do this. The kitchen was nice and warm due to the underfloor heating. There is a separate immersion heater for the hot water so this was always available. Lots of walks and things nearby... we had dinner at the Hinds Head pub which was really tasty and we went to the Hawkstone Follies for a walk which would be a great place for families or people just wanting a stroll.

    Ed2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is in a lovely location. Quiet and rural. You can walk directly from the cottage into the surrounding countryside. The cottage itself is full of character. There were a few things that needed attention and I have highlighted these to Sean and Lisa. These are all easily rectified. Communication wasn't great (partly because of limited network coverage and partly due to lack of information from the hosts, again easily rectified by leaving written information ). The log fire was great and was used to heat the radiators and hot water which was a surprise, as was the heated kitchen floor. The garden was large and beautiful.

My home is a cottage in a small hamlet 50 yards from the Shropshire Union Canal. You will love my place because of the peace and quiet and lovely views of the Cheshire Countryside. It is an ideal place for couples or solo travellers. The village of Audlem (with three pubs) is within walking distance along the canal tow path.
Coxbank is very quiet and feels like a forgotten haven away from busy roads. That said the village of Audlem is only a mile walk down the canal tow path. If you want peaceful walks around the Cheshire/Shropshire countryside my cottage is ideal.

I stayed as I was taking part in a Triathlon nearby but found out the Monique is a former Multiple Iron Man winner and full of amazing advice and stories about taking part in triathlons and Iron Man completions. I was only there for a day and a bit but I left feeling like I had been there and known Monique for so much longer :D. I would highly recommend staying here as you will not be left disappointed :D! • Kami made her guests very welcome and we all had a great time chatting round the table in the evening. She is a very generous host and her home is very interesting. Somewhere to visit again when there is no room at the family inn!

  • Had a really lovely stay over at Kami's house. Friendliest cats you could ever meet, the warmest host and a great kitchen to hang out, eat and chat to any other guests who might be there. If anyone wants convivial company in a relaxing, quiet place this would be perfect.

  • As soon as I arrived I was warmly welcomed and instantly felt comfortable and at home. House is very beautiful and homely in a great location, especially if you need to get to Keele University, travel time was 20-30mins if you coordinate with bus times correctly. There is a coop very close by for food and daily needs. Kami was even kind enough to cook a delicious meal for me. The area of the home is very pleasant with friendly people and great for a nice evening or morning walk. This was my first Airbnb experience and I am very happy. I will stay here again.
