Jules Cottage is located in a quiet and save neighborhood. It’s a nice and welcoming place and the cottage is well equipped, there’s even an option to cook your own meals. No hassle with opening gates etc. because you can enter the accommodation any time you want with your own set of keys. Thanks to the generator there's always electricity when you need it. Last but not least; Julie and Cornelious are discrete but warm people and I felt they genuinely cared about my well being.

Julie & Cornelius were the perfect hosts! Their house has a beautiful garden, safe parking, and the neighborhood is very quiet. The apartment was spotless, fully equipped with bedroom, private bathroom and kitchen (including a gas stove, fridge w/ freezer, dishes, pans ect.). Microwave oven available on request. We felt welcome from the first minute and got good information about shopping options in Harare. If we ever get back to Zim we will be happy to stay here again!

Superb cottage, cannot recommend highly enough. Julie and Cornelius are outstanding hosts who definitely go above and beyond for their guests. Will definitely stay here again! Cottage clean, comfortable and well put together. Garden and pool thoroughly enjoyable and the house is super close to all amenities in Harare.

The Elephant House was easily our favourite accommodation throughout our trip in Zimbabwe. The room and surrounding area is beautiful and the Neilson's home is in a great location, just a short walk from the Falls and local shops. The Neilson's were very welcoming. Would definitely recommend & return!

Im not a man of many words, so this post speaks in volumes of my appreciation of this host. Sandi is a synonym for super! She hooked up my tours and trips as soon as I arrived, and connected me with an amazing driver. A+

We had a great time at the elephant house and we would love to go back someday!. The room was exactly as promised: clean and comfortable. Sandi, the host, was very helpful since the day we booked the room. She helped us get a ride from/to the airport and offered to book tours for us in days that we didn't have plans. Thanks to her help, we made the most of our time. We strongly reccomend to ask Sandi for Temba, a taxi driver she knows that will take you from/to the airport and move you around Vic Falls safely and at fair prices. It is a 15-20 minutes walk to town so to have the number of a known taxi driver is very helpful, specially at night after dinner. A great place to stay!

Where to start with this one? The biggest problem I have is no Airbnb will ever match my time spent at The Elephant House.I was Sandie's first guest, and she I was born to be the perfect hostess. I felt like I was on holiday at my best friends home. The house is in a residential area about 15 minutes walk from the centre and 20 mins to Vic Falls.Sandie was always taking me here there and everywhere though, so I didn't need to walk very often. The room was a lovely ensuite with a bath and shower. The patio doors opened up onto a beautiful lawn and garden. Coffee and tea making facilities and a fridge where provided in my room. Sandie went out of her way to make my 5 days there perfect. When Sandie was too busy to entertain me,her crazy pets or her lovely children showed up to amuse me. My holiday would have been a completely different experience and less enjoyable one if I had stayed in a hotel,they took me in and made me a part of their amazing eccentric family. My words do not do the Nielsens enough justice, they are a generous, interesting, warm and slightly potty family. They haven't seen the last of me.

This is an excellent location for a trip to Victoria Falls. Sandi is a wonderful host and will take care of you while you're there. It is walking distance from the main portion of town and Victoria Falls. It is literally across the street from an elephant game reserve so you get to experience the sounds of the elephants at night depending on what time of year you go.

With only 2 days to spend at Vic Falls, Sandi was very helpful in booking transport and activities to maximise my experience and see the falls in its full wonder and glory. The Elephant house is a peaceful sanctuary to go back home to after much sightseeing and adventure! It's clean, comfortable and as mentioned by other travellers is a short stroll to the city centre, the falls and subsequently the Zim border. Sandi is a great host and I definitely look forward to staying here again when I return.

We stayed in the Unique Thatched Home for a week in December 2015. We really enjoyed our stay over the Christmas holidays. The house is well constructed with spacious bedrooms that can accommodate four individuals.The home has amazing bathrooms with indoor/outdoor feel.The kitchen is modern with quality features. We also liked the house because it has a silent generate that can kick in once power goes out. Janelle and Daz were super nice to allow us to use the pool. The hosts also went out of their way to recommend places to visit and eat in and around Bulawayo. We wish we could have stayed longer. We would highly recommend this home to our family and anyone planning to stay in Bulawayo.

This accomodation was just a bit out of city making it easy to access and quiet. It was very secure. Many interesting artistic additions to inside and outside the home to give it real character - nice attention to detail. Excellent facilities, comfortable bed, great kitchen, large and roomy. A bit cold at night in the living area, but plenty of blankets and covers available. Thank you!

Beautiful place to stay! Loved the garden. Not one complaint! Absolutely perfect. It was cold (in july) but thats bc of the stone inside, so bring slippers and fleece robe :) Would def go back!!

We were given a very warm welcome and an amazing first impression to the cottage. Absolutely stunning. The host provided everything we needed and the one little thing we did need she sorted out immediately. So impressed - the pictures make it look beautiful but was a lot bigger than we expected. Very comfortable. Very private and we were able to come and go at our leisure. Very comfortable bedrooms and spacious living area and bathrooms, kitchen. Will definitely be going back there.

Staying at Bruce's home truly made our Victoria Falls trip perfect. The house was beautiful and in a great location near the falls and the town center. The listing was accurate, but if anything didn't do the house full justice. The rooms were very comfortable, the pool was lots of fun, the terrace was super relaxing, and the kitchen was huge and well equipped. Lastly, Bruce and Clive made us feel extremely welcome, and helped us plan a number of different activities around the falls, making the whole trip exciting and easy.

Our family had a fabulous time staying at Bruce and Clive's house. The house itself was beautiful with plenty of space and a lovely pool/outside area. Sylvia the housekeeper was lovely and made us feel at home. The real bonus was Bruce and Clive themselves - they were both amazing hosts that helped us plan our trip and drove us here there and everything to show us things and generally just make life easier for us. I couldn't recommend staying at one their properties enough - you will leave with a large smile on your dial :)

The house was everything as advertised. We chose Bruce's home based on reviews and our stay exceeded our expectations.Bruce arranged a driver for us to see the falls and all the sites in Victoria Falls for a nominal cost. He was awesome.We also had a housekeeper who helped with laundry again at a minimal cost. Bruce met us at the airport and was around to help us with everything. If and when I return to Victoria Falls, Bruce would be the first one I would contact and stay at Bruce"s home

Reynard House is in an excellent location; Clive and Bruce did a great job in planning a schedule for us that allowed us to get in all the highlights within a short two day stay and still allowed for relaxation time around the pool. Sylvia was a wonderful housekeeper and cook and Timber(sp?) our driver was just fantastic-great guide.

We had an absolutely amazing stay! The house is beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable. Our host was exceedingly welcoming, and even arranged transport from the airport and around town. He was very knowledgeable about the area, and all of his recommendations turned out to be smash hits. He also had a car for us to rent for a very economical rate. I highly recommend staying here!

Absolutely the best airbnb experience we've ever had. Our family of seven (4 kids, grandma, and my wife and I) had an incredible experience. A perfect home for a large family! Clive and Bruce are amazing. They showed us around town, took us for sundowners on the deck at VF Safari Lodge, planned all our events, coordinated our transportation (for cheap!), sold us artwork right off their walls, and ultimately became friends. Take their advice and stay at least three nights (we stayed three but should have stayed longer). Special thanks, too, to Slyvia who took care of our breakfasts, cleaning and even did some laundry for us. Staying at the VicFalls Homestay was a highlight of our trip!

Pmsasa is one of Harare's hidden treasures. Our group enjoyed every moment of this beautiful home. Everything was just perfect for us. We had children and they loved spending time in the pool. We all felt safe. All the staff at Pmsasa were welcoming and they were always available to assist with any queries .Tobias and Mrs Jongwe you are truly amazing. The pictures on Airbnb won our hearts but being there was an exceptionally fulfilling experience with breathtaking views ( especially waking up to watch the sunrise). I would definitely recommend this beautiful home . It has everything you need including clean accommodation, wifi, washing machine and dryer, friendly staff . Communication was excellent throughout. The home was excellent and had a few extras we were not expecting (perhaps I hadn't read thoroughly) which included a/c in the bedrooms, wi-fi and satellite television. The caretaker was a very friendly and attentive man and happy to help with whatever situations, not limited to issues with the accommodations. I will be booking this accommodation when I return to Victoria Falls and would recommend this to family and friends.

This home stay included a caretaker who made us feel welcome and safe. The home has a walled enclosed yard and gated driveway. Clean and well decorated. We enjoyed our stay in Zimbabwe.

For the price this is a great place to stay. The renovated bathroom was exceptional! We can't wait to see what happens with the kitchen. Collin the man who helps you out while you're there is amazing. This should definitely be on your list of places to stay in Vic falls.

Susan's house caretaker Collen was amazing! He and his family live in another house on the property and he was incredibly genuine and wanted us to have a nice stay. It was as nice as any of the hotels in the area (maybe even nicer) and had everything suggested in the ad. Collen was there to help us and open the property gate no matter how early or late our excursion pick-ups were scheduled for and always with a smile. We felt very comfortable here and would absolutely stay again!

Surrounding environment quiet, well-appointed room, master and assistant geniality. A little distance to the city, but enjoy early morning walk together with many local residents, but also enjoy the scenery along the way.

Maureen (Minky) is a fantastic host. The cottage is set in Newlands and as suggested in the midst of one of the best locations in Harare including the one of the best restaurants (Victoria 22). A definite home away from home; quiet, safe and very peaceful. Accurate description, lovely hosts, family and great staff. The family pets without fail were playful, loving and welcoming! I thoroughly loved and enjoyed my stay at Minky's, look forward to my next stay and have already enthusiastically recommended friends, colleagues and business acquaintances.

The apartment is well located in a good neighborhood in Harare, there is a nice coffee shop 20 meter from it, and 5 minutes by walk a shopping centre with a big super market, restaurants, internet cafe and more. The flat itself is well equipped with new furniture and items, the WiFi is super strong, and Minky the owner and her partner are very nice and extremely welcoming hosts. I would strongly recommend this location, and will definitely stay there again.

The cottage is very clean and comfortable and located in a quiet leafy suburb. Shops and restaurants are located within walking distance. Maureen and Gary made me feel very welcome and Lizzie kept the place clean each day with a smile. I would definitely stay again.

Micky is an amazing host! The place is exactly how it was described. My son, who previously had a not-so-healthy relationship with dogs just fell in love with Diamond and Coco (the dogs), they are too cute and very friendly, Diamond is always eager to play:) Minky was very accommodating and responsive to all our needs. The internet was very fast and mostly reliable so for folks on business, this is a big plus. The place is also very central, literally 5 mins from town. The support staff, (especially auntie Lizzie) were very friendly and always willing to help. I would definitely stay there again and would strongly recommend this place to both business and leisure travellers.

Ideally located near the Kamfinsa Shopping centre, Gayle's cottage was a perfect place to stay for me. I was well looked after by Gayle, Jos and Janet. Truly recommendable!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Gayle. She and her daughter hosted me for 3 nights. It's a private cottage on the property behind her main house and they have a lovely garden and nice veranda that you can sit at outside of the room. Gayle was a lovely lady and we chatted about all things Zimbabwe - many of which I didn't know about so it was a history lesson as well. Another plus is Gayle made breakfast each morning which consisted of coffee, toast, smoothie and muesli, fruit and yogurt. That was very helpful as I could start my day ready. I don't think that many other places always offer breakfast. Thanks Gayle for the very nice stay.

I had a great stay at Gayle's very nice garden cottage. She and her daughter were very helpful, as were the staff. Its in a nice quiet location, close enough to some shops, but secluded and secure at the same time.

I felt at Ron & Rena well. They were very attentive hosts who respected privacy. Since I had no car, Ron took over for the job of a taxi driver. This was necessary because only one restaurant and a small supermarket on foot were achievable and Harare is very spacious.

I enjoyed staying with Rena (her husband was in South Africa). She was a wonderful and caring host. The cottage is comfortable and has everything one needs and is very private. The area is very nice and close to an upmarket shopping center with good restaurants and supermarkets. All together I can only recommend this place with this friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The house was great. It has everything you need to make yourself feel at home. Ron and Rena made sure I had everything I needed during my stay. There are shops just at the bottom of the road if you want to self-cater but there are also nearby restaurants. Their pool and gardens are also lovely. I stayed as a business traveler but this place would also be great on holiday.

Great location, quiet and clean cottage in a tranquil environment. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. I stayed with my daughter and we arrived at night and found that our hosts had bought some food for us to eat before we could get to the shops. We are truly thakful fot their kindness. Ron and Rene are really wonderful hosts. They did everything to ensure our stay was pleasant. The cottage is beautiful, clean, safe and has separate access to the main house so you really feel privacy. Ron and Rene will even organise regular cleaning and washing, ironing of cloths for a small fee. Borrowdale is a beautiful suburb of Harare and much nicer than downtown. The best shopping area, night life and restaurant area is just down the road called Sam Levies. Certainly a great place to stay in Harare.

This was a good place to stay. I felt welcomed and the communication from the host was excellent. I appreciated that they were ready to accommodate my request and went out of their way to make me comfortable.

I had very good contact with Verity even when she was traveling. Room is nice and Stuart who took care of the place in their absence was very helpful. Unfortunately, there was no running water during my stay and there is a lot of insects running in the kitchen. Room is very clean and no unwelcome guests there. Good location.

I was little skeptical, since it did not have any reviews, but this was truly a home away from home. - Two supermarkets, a cafe, a pizza place and fast food joint right opposite the place. - Really secure and safe place to stay in central Harare. - The rooms look exactly like in the pictures. - Comfortable mattress and even though its right next to the main road, you do not have much noise from the vehicles coming in at night. - A fully equipped kitchen with all the amenities required for you to cook. - Super fast internet to stream videos since one of the floor is used as an office. - No issues with the electricity at all. - No problem with water, just the pressure might be a little less on the weekends. - A nice sit out (garden) to enjoy the sun. - 10 min walking from Harare Sports Club. The host took really good care and Stuart was kind enough to take me out to the mall and a tour around the city as a local. I simply loved it

Very cosy place..however the bed was too hard for me.. good TV channels and the pets were so adorable..good location for a walk around.. was just annoyed by the host who took our time checking if Airbnb had paid her and then she suggested a few times that we pay her cash (URL HIDDEN) which I refused and took almost 1 hour helping her with the approval..next morning she was at it again checking for our payment and I had to show her the online receipt and she suggested going into our bank account to check.. only to our surprise to find that she has been with airbnb since 2012! Also would have liked a bit more options for breakfast. Overall Carol was helpful and curious.. cute pets and a beautiful garden..

Howden Place, run by Carol, is the perfect base for business or leisure activities in the northern suburbs of Harare. There is a beautiful, quiet and secluded garden with a lovely, friendly feeling. The en suite rooms are clean, well appointed and very comfortable. Carol offers a wholesome and tasty breakfast, and she is a wealth of information on things to do in and around Harare. Howden Place is situated close to two shopping centres, various restaurants and a cinema. It is within a stones throw of the main trunk road to Kariba, Mana Pools and Zambia.

Bucknall Lodge is an amazing spacious house with excellent large rooms and Maureen is a brilliant kind host who greets her guests each morning with a breezy positivity. I stayed at Bucknall Lodge for 14 nights, it is a large home with beautiful furniture and excellent bathrooms. The attention to detail here is immaculate and there was a lovely calm feeling about the place which added that little bit of magic especially because I was there to attend hectic personal events. The welcome from Maureen was very warm and welcoming. Her staff Winnie and Derek were both ever so helpful and made my stay feel more like a home away from home.

Marny and Adrienne did everything to guide me in this hectic city. After the long trip it was nice to be met personally at the airport by them and to come into hub beautiful garden.

My stay with Rian and Willem was better then 5 stars. On never travelling to Zimbabwe before and travelling on my own, I felt looked after and given all the information and advice I needed. Rian and willem have been so gracious. The house and private room was a joy to stay in, clean, peaceful at night with beautiful gardens, very kind staff, and a wonderfully prepared breakfast in the morning. Don't miss out in Rians cottage pie. Thank you Rian for your generosity, I really enjoyed my time in Harare and discovering the city. I hope to see you both soon in the not to distant future.

First of all just WOW so blown away with Ellen (the host) what a lady, the reason I went for this accomodation was because of the great reviews people had written about her. And YES she lived up to them, I would recommend everyone to not think twice and just book it! The house is beautiful and set in a quiet, gorgeous neighbourhood. The amazing breakfast every morning is done to suit your needs i.e. we do not eat pork they bought chicken sausages instead. In addition, we was lucky enough that we were the only ones their at the time thus breakfast was done when we needed it. Worry not about the electricity going because they have a generator.

I know that this host has multiple properties in the Bulawayo area. Renters Beware! This was a BUISNESS TRIP, not vacation. We booked and paid for an entire house with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. We were switched to another location with ONLY 1 room, which was a bedroom with 2 twin beds. I had 2 grown men trying to sleep on twin beds and share 1 bathroom. Maybe it was because we are American that we were given a “Bait & Switch”. We had no access to the kitchen on our own, the housekeeper (who was extremely nice) cooked our breakfast meals and did a load of laundry (at an additional cost). We did not see our "host" during our entire 7-day stay, nor did she make any attempt to contact us either before or during our stay to tell us of the accommodation switch. Although this property was beautiful and well maintained, it was not what we contracted for. There was a reason we needed the kitchen and 2 separate bedrooms. This trip cost us hundreds beyond what we budgeted for, it was a very frustrating situation. We will probably not use Airbnb for International travel again; especially in Africa.

The house is located in the very convenient and peaceful place in Harare. I spent very comfortable time at the guest room, their open space, garden, and neighborhood. I also enjoyed Wairimu's furniture workshop within their house. His works are unique, beautiful, and heartwarming. I think other guests will be interested in his works. Their daughter is also a very friendly host. I enjoyed interaction with her.

I only stayed one night but would have love to stay longer with Angie and her family. Very welcomming people helpfull at all times and the room was spacious nice and comfortable. Breakfast was great with fresh fruit and with what they grow in the garden. I really enjoyed the stay. Also the city center and all other attractions in Harare are withn an easy and cheap taxi drive. You can also walk to the city center and to nearby restaurants. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HOSPITALITY!

I had a great time staying with Wairimu and her family. They were really helpful getting me oriented in Harare. The house and the room are spacious and clean, and located near shops and easy transport. I would definitely stay with them in the future.

There is not much to add to what I said already the last two times I stayed with Angela and Joe. Really home away from home, totally free to do whatever you have to do. Highly recommended.

Since the hosts were out of town while I was staying in the home, my experience was a bit different. I had the whole beautiful home to myself but only used the bedroom and sitting room. The caretakers were kind. The house is convenient to major roads and close to a couple of restaurants. It is nice that breakfast and dinner are usually offered but we're not available to me.

We felt welcome. We got to Msuna very late but still Dumi woke up with a smile to welcome and show us our chalets. The workers were very helpful throughout our stay. It was beautiful to watch the sunset and watch crocodiles in the nearby Zambezi river. It was beautiful to hear birds singing in the wild as opposed to the noisy machinery city sounds. If you want a quiet secluded holiday in the wild, then Msuna is the place.

Wonderful place quite literally in the middle of nowhere, I suspect that's the point. Beautifully finished yet still pleasantly rustic chalet, this is Africa.
