Jaleo is created by celebrity Spanish American chef, Jose Andres, who resides in Bethesda in the same neighborhood, just a few blocks from here! A great place for Tapas, drink, and catch the game.

Order the “crispy squid”. You will not regret it. Note, as the name implies, the main ingredient is crispy squid.

A speak easy. The custom cocktails are on the pricy side however they’re all very novel, memorable, and delicious.

The location in DC is very busy and runs out the good stuff, my fav, aged prime tomahawk ribeyes fairly quickly. I would recommend their newest location near Tyson’s galleria. If you’re concerned, I’d check by calling the DC location to confirm.

I used to come here at the crack of dawn every weekend to buy a bushel of crabs., go back home to steam and eat throughout the weekend. This neighborhood is going through some serious revitalization in the past year, but luckily the old district is still around, for now. Buy an order of steamed Old Bat Shrimp or Chesapeake Blue Crab and eat like a local!
