A list of some of my favorite sightseeing locations in the area. Bring your hiking boots! :)
The New River Gorge Bridge is one of the highest vehicular bridges in the world, and is currently the third highest in the United States. The national park and surrounding trails are very nice for sight seeing and hiking.

Hawks Nest State Park is a 270-acre recreational area with a nature museum, aerial tramway, jetboat rides, hiking trails and one of the most challenging whitewater boating waterways in the nation. Located just 10 miles north of the New River Gorge Bridge, Hawks Nest is known for its scenic overlook, which provides a bird’s eye view of the rugged New River Gorge National River below.

Summersville Lake is one of the most popular destinations in West Virginia for boaters, swimmers and waterskiers. Scuba divers know it as “The Little Bahamas of the East” for being the clearest freshwater lake east of the Mississippi River.

The Endless Wall Trail is a lesser-known trail in the New River Gorge, making it a perfect place for hikers to get away from the crowds and experience the New River Gorge's natural beauty in a more remote setting. Often used as a climbing access trail for its proximity to famous sandstone cliffs in the area, visitors will enjoy the Endless Wall Trail for its views of both the New River Gorge below, as well as climbers on the walls around them. This hike was recently awarded the USA Today Reader's Choice Award for Best National Park Hike, so get out and experience it for yourself!
