Some of you may love this place if you are into seafood, I'm not, cant think of anything worse than having tea and cake and the smell of fish! having said that, it is very popular and has a restaurant some nights?

Open from March to October, these fascinating, but truly peaceful gardens date back to 1696. The gardens are beautifully kept by head gardener Jerry Green, not forgetting Ella and all the volunteers. I have the honour of working there some weekends!

Considered the centre of the historic Royal Forest of Dean, with activities and cafe. Forestry Commission parking for the day can be pricey, very popular with families.
