If your stay in Georgia is long enough, you should definitely explore Georgia mountains over a weekend during your stay. The most touristic place is Blue Ridge, but there are other cities around it with a wide selection of national parks, cabins, lakes, mountain views, there is plenty to visit any time of the year. Little over 2 hours from our place.

Mountain town in NE Georgia, if you are from out of state, you'll love Helen. It's known for vineyards and Bavarian-style buildings. Small city to walk around, full of locals but mostly tourists, nice shops, boutiques, chocolate and ice cream shops, festivals, lazy river tubing, park trails, campsites, cabins, and everything in between. 1 hour and 25 minutes from our location.
