City/town information

The cutest town at the base of the sequoias. It's a breath of fresh air to sit by the river and have lunch grab some ice cream from the historic candy shop.

This is truly a historical downtown. There are more good restaurants in Visalia than most cities because they keep large chain businesses out of Main st. Pre -covid there was quite the nightlife as well and with warm summer nights, there is plenty of reason to stroll downtown and find a patio to perch on.

Neighborhoods

This neighborhood was the very first homes built in the area. It was neglected for decades and it is in the middle of a revival. Many young people are moving to the neighborhood to buy affordable homes that are part of history to restore them. We don't recommend straying too far from main st. It's not generally dangerous but the scenery is still a work in progress.

Pizza with outdoor dining great for groups and great for takeout. A step up from the typical pizza with innovative toppings and sides like wings, delicious salads, and Caprese.
