Revolution Rail Co. offers railbiking as a fun excursion activity that allows riders to ride the railroad tracks under their own power and explore a section of the Adirondacks that has never seen passenger traffic.
We did both routes offered as a family and everyone enjoyed it (the photo here was taken on the North Bridge run). It is very popular and books far in advance so book well ahead!

The beach is clean and well protected by lifeguards (Yes this is your hostess on a SUP in a photo). The lake is perfect for small kids as well. You can play tennis, basketball, volleyball, fish, swim, BBQ or explore lake by kayak, canoe or paddleboard if you have one. Before Covid, there used to be a kayak and paddle board rental and a small food stand selling hot dogs, burgers, and fries right on the beach, we are not certain what will be the setup this summer.

Over 120 obstacles and 13 ziplines. Open April through November and located in beautiful Bolton Landing, NY just north of Lake George and Diamond Point, Adirondack Extreme boasts over 1.5 miles of thrilling aerial adventures on 6 adventure courses and includes wobbly bridges, climbing walls, zip lines and swinging surprises at varying levels of height and difficulty.
This has been a personal favorite of our son and we have completed it multiple times as a family. We recommend to book ahead and choose the earlier times which tend to be less busy in order to avoid 'traffic in a canopy' situation.

Local shopping for gifts and other interesting stuff. A lot of the decor in the house came from that store. It's pricey but you can find unique items and gifts there. Also, we always try to support a local business and invest money in the community where we can so would definitely ask our guests to check it out as well.

This gem is just short 10 minute drive away. Arrive early as parking is scarce. Bring your own canoe, kayak or a paddle board or take a tour/rent a kayak from Beaver Brook Outfitters. No useful beach available, just a boat launch about 500 feet from parking - prepare to carry you canoe/kayak/SUP. Small lake with no motorized boats. One of our favorite spots to paddle and swim. It's a cheese farm that also has a petting zoo where you can walk through on a self guided tour and actually pet the animals. The farm does the tour every Saturday at noon. To top it all off, they recently adopted two peacocks who live in a large heated structure outdoors (yes, strange...)
We would recommend them because they make amazing goat cheese selection which is available in their shop. We have seen their cheeses being offered at pretty high end bars and restaurants as well as Whole Foods in NJ. They also rescue local animals and we adopted the most adorable kitten from this center in April of 2021.
