Just ten minutes from the house. $1.50 to cross the Bay of Nicoya over to Puntarenas. Takes only 90 minutes and you can eat and drink on the ferry. Wonderful site seeing on the journey across!

Biggest town on lower Nicoya peninsula. About 20 minutes from the house, it has restaurants, banks, shops etc. From Cobano, the beaches of Mal Pais, Santa Teresa, and Montezuma are only 10 min away.

In Paquera, the restaurant at Hotel Ginana is great! For seafood, try 'Las Vegas' restaurant. 2 supermarkets and lots of small shops offer most anything you will need. Every food store has alcohol.
