Fort Vancouver has been well preserved, and was here before Washington or Oregon were states. There is a lovely bike trail along the Columbia River which leads to a riverfront park which leads to Fort Vancouver on a bike trail (under the railroad crossing). Small planes still land at Fort Vancouver too!
