We love this lake, but it also has trails stretching in every direction of the forest starting at its water front. Be adventures, go a bit off road and explore! You will meet people all along your trail. Norwegians love their forests.

A park follows the river Akerselva that splits Oslo west from east. A lovely sunday walk from top to bottom, or in the other direction. If you follow the river long enough north, you might find yourself a privet little field next to the water. The water is also safe to swim in, and comes directly from our drinking water, Maridalsvannet.
