Drinks & Nightlife

Great food and ambience. The pub has a theatre downstairs and hosts a wide variety of shows through the year. It is the local bar for the the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), the oldest drama school in the UK and it's often full of young actors giving it a buzzy feel. Who knows, you may bump into Sherlock actor, Benedict Cumberbatch! He trained at LAMDA and was appointed its President in January 2018.

Our much loved local independent cinema built in 1907 and recently renovated. The auditorium is large with reclining super soft seats. Its ornate ceiling and plush curtains give a sense of the bygone days of cinema. From Notting Hill Gate Underground station (District Line) take exit 2 which is opposite and to the left of the ticket barriers. As you reach the top of the stairs The Gate can be seen ahead, less than a minute away.

Parks & Nature

Hyde Park can be reached in 19 minutes from the apartment via the Piccadilly Line. Hyde Park, together with Kensington Gardens which adjoins it on the west, forms the largest open space in London. Originally part of Westminster Abbey, it was taken over by Henry VIII in 1536 and became a royal deer park before eventually being opened to the public by Charles I in 1635. Today, it's one of London's most popular attractions, and whether you're there for a gentle stroll, a picnic or some serious sightseeing, it should be a must-see on your London "to-do" list.
