Sightseeing

Lead Better Beach and Shoreline park has surfing, beach, and great views. The surf break at Leadbetter is beginner friendly and often has lessons as well as old time long boarders. At low tide you can go for a long walk on the wet sand and even find some tide pools. Shoreline park is great for a walk or run and has views of the ocean, mountains and Santa Barbara. The Shoreline cafe offers beachside dinning. The seafood at Brophy's at the harbor is very popular. Walk out the spit for more views and on bigger swell days a great view of the best surfers local surfers.

It is historic and beautiful. Tour the mission, take a picnic to the Rose garden or a walk in Rocky Nook park. It is about a 15 minute drive from the house.

This place is awesome so many choices of great cuisines. I would say it is expensive given that you aren't sitting down and getting served, but it has something for everyone and is a lively scene. A little far to walk but there is underground free parking just north on the right.

They have a great pulled pork sandwich and a hip young vibe. I also put this in because there are so many restaurants to explore along lower State you as fancy or hip or funky as you want so walk around and have a food adventure.

This is a wine bar started by young local with good food and wine and conversation. There is a good chance you will meet the owner and make a new friend. It isn't the young and loud scene but it makes a middle ager feel young.
