Sightseeing

Great place for sitting outside and enjoying nature. When the weather is nice, many people bring picnics and blankets and simply hang out in some of the open sunny spaces that the garden offers. There are also several miles of hiking/running trails, some of which runs along the river. There is also a newly opened children’s garden, which is quite impressive.

*Owned by local teen entrepreneur, Beau Shell (Lil’ Ice Cream Dude). This stand-alone shop offers ice cream, Italian ice, malts, shakes, and floats. By far our favorite ice cream place in town and it’s within walking distance from our house!

Mediterranean inspired food and wine; they serve lunch and dinner. A little on the pricier side, but run by two local chefs in Athens and always worth the money.
