Just a 2 to 3 minute drive from our place, Zenko Yoga has a good timetable of classes and you can always head downstairs afterwards to the cafe for refreshments or into the Alfresco Room for a little retail therapy.

Food scene

Noosa has a great food scene with a large variety of options available. Many restaurants and cafes are focused on the use of local produce and we have included some of our favorites below...
Hidden away in the industrial area of Noosaville this place is great to pick up some organic fruit/veg and meats. Its a great place for a coffee and the breakfast menu with a tonne of vegan and vegetarian options is divine!

Noosa Boathouse is floating on the Noosa River! You can't beat the stunning river views. The menu is modern and fresh with an emphasis on local seafood. If you are travelling as a larger group they also offer a fantastic and reasonably priced "Feast" menu to share. We definitely recommend the Sunset Bar on the top floor for an afternoon cocktail and to drink in the stunning sunset views down the river.

For dining right on the beach, this spot is hard to beat. With a modern Australian menu using local produce, the food is good. Great for breakfast, a long lunch or a late afternoon cocktail followed by dinner! Ensure to make a reservation in advance.

For a casual dinner on the river, 250 Grammi is the place to go! The pizza's are excellent and if you are into Italian food this menu is delicious... Book in advance in high season to ensure a table.

We love this place upstairs from Cafe Le Monde on Hastings Street. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and some really yummy cocktails and pizza. Our kids love dining here! We also like to order takeaway pizza from here and eat it down on the beach with a picnic blanket and watch the sunset :)

Sightseeing

From the stunning beaches, coastal hikes and exploring the Noosa Hinterland, there is a lot to see and do!
If you love the beach, head to Noosa Main Beach on Laguna Bay. This is our local beach and we love it! If visiting over the summer months or at a peak time, we suggest getting there early. In peak times it can be difficult to find a car park so we recommend you head towards "Noosa Woods" where you can use the beach access tracks and if you would like to hang out on the patrolled beach, simply wander back along the boardwalk and enjoy the stunning views!

The coastal walk from Noosa Main Beach, up past Little Cove, down into the Noosa National Park and all the way along past Tea Tree Bay, Granite Bay (one of our favourites!) to Hell's Gates is absolutely stunning.

We love Mt Tinbeerwah and visit regularly. Just a short 15 minute drive from our place via Tewantin, you can drive right up the mountain. From the car park it is an approximate 15 to 20 minute walk to the look out. We have been doing it with our kids since they were young and they love to explore along the way. We have even spotted koalas there! The view at the top really helps put the region into perspective with sweeping views up the coast to Rainbow Beach as well as across the stunning hinterland to Cooroy Mountain. A beautiful place to watch the sunset on a warm afternoon!

This one is not for the faint hearted! Mount Cooroora can be found in the quaint hinterland town of Pamona, it is around a 40 minute to one hour hike and the final ascent does involve some chains and a little scouring of rock face. It feels great once you reach the peak and the views are well worth the challenge!

There is nothing quite like meandering down the Noosa River whilst sitting on the rooftop of the Noosa Ferry on a sunny day. Take in the views up and down the Noosa River whilst listening to the knowledgeable ferry driver speak about the surrounding areas. The Noosa Ferry travels from Noosa Marina in Tewantin into Noosa Heads (just behind Hastings Street). You can board at any number of spots along the way and we highly recommend taking the sunset cruise along with a bottle of wine to enjoy the amazing sunset views.
