City advice

What to pack

Pack for all weather

Sorrento is generally a few degrees cooler than Melbourne but can change very quickly. Always bring your bathers and thongs, include a jacket and runners to walk around.
Travelling with kids

Playgrounds

Sorrento oval has a great playground for toddlers and Sorrento park opposite Hotel Sorrento has the best kids playground for 4years and up.
Getting around

Walking

Our place is ideally located so you can walk to and from the Main Street, front and back beaches.
Don't miss

Sorrento Back Beach

You must check this beautiful place out - if you walk out front out house, turn right, walk to end of road. You will find the cemetery at the end and to the left a path that will lead you to the top of the hill, this is the lookout over Sorrento back beach. Amazing. Either return the same way or take the path to the beach and walk up the hill to take you back the the Main Street, here you can walk home via the service rod on Melbourne road, then turn left onto Normanby.
Book before you go

Peninsula HotSprings

Great early morning - less people and perfect way to start the day + it’s cheaper if you get in before 8am
