Schweitzer offers a very relaxed and welcoming flavor that is lost on resorts this size. Terrain that will please all abilities!! Lift lines? rarely. Snow? reliably great. Views? Have ya seen Idaho's biggest swimming pool from the 6,700' Skyhouse. The drive is a very easy 30 minutes (17 miles from the Hideaway- 9 of that is Schweitzer Resort road) or park in the Red Barn parking lot and take the shuttle the remaining 9 miles.

The Mick starts out an easy stroll through a meadow next to a seasonal creek, then the trail climbs. . . . At about the 15 min mark, theres two park benches that give a low-level view of the area. Continue up and more views abound! Dog friendly Rated Moderate

Moderate hike. The road condition off the pavement to the parking area can be somewhat rough, but, worth it!
