This is a BIG lake so there are lots of spots to swim but my favorite is 5 mile beach. To find it put Willow Point Bed and Breakfast into google maps and follow it to the side of the road. You will likely see other cars if it is a sunny day. Follow the well worn path between two private homes down to a beautiful sandy beach with a nice shallow swimming area for kids. This is a great drop in point for SUPing as well.

This place is about 1 1/2 hours from our pace but absolutely worth it. If you want to spend all day jumping off cliffs and swimming while laying like a lizard on warm rocks just soaking up the sun THIS PLACE IS THE BEST! there are apparently petroglyphes here as well though I forget to look every time I go. For families make sure to bring PFD for kids! They cannot touch the bottom anywhere here and big waves have washed people off the side of the rocks. Floaties and boats make this place more fun and safe.

Busy beach with a volleyball court. A local favorite for motorboats. If you like a bit more of "scene" when beaching this is your spot.

Day Trips

20 minutes from town next to an amazing beach on the Slocan River and the historic BNR biking trails. THE perfect half day trip. Park at The Dam Inn which is a 10 minute drive from town. Then ride your bike to Frogs Peak and have Eggs Benny in the garden. Make your way to the beach for a swim. Then bike back to your car. Can take as little as 2 hours or make an entire day of it.
