The crow and quill is a dimly lit speakeasy bar with strong cocktails, vintage furniture, and often-live music! In Asheville if a bar has liquor but doesn't have food, you have to become a member at the door, it only costs a few bucks, and anyone can join.

On top of the Thirsty Monk Belgian beer bar, is Top of the Monk. We like to come here for whiskey on the rooftop patio. Plus they give you a key to unlock the snack of your choice with every drink. This is a moderate hike, mostly flat with some incline and stairs. Enjoy three waterfalls up close and personal! Great for families and picnics. Fun fact some of the movie the Hunger Games was filmed here. There is a large parking area, but it can get busy in warmer months.
