Great spot nearby for easy trails between lakes and forests. You can walk there from here but it’s a good 11 ish miles there and back, it's great for mountain biking.

Lovely place to go for a drive to from Talybont, if the weather is putting you off being outdoors but you still fancy a little bit of countryside. You can also walk up to the Plymlimon summit from there.

Great place for walking and mountain biking, really flat and easy walking route round the reservoir. If you go at 2:30 to 3pm in summer (2pm in winter) you will see lots of red kites being fed. There are little information points around the reserve and a lovely bird hide to find too. Pay to park and support the centre.

Food scene

Amazing little vegan deli, sells everything you need for a vegan fry up along with freshly made lunches and cakes. They also sell fresh organic vegetables and locally baked bread as well as well stocked general supplies. Also, occasionally the manager wears a tiara 🙃, she’s called Sue and is really helpful.

Lovely coastal village with great cafes and pubs, stunning caostal walks. Park in the free village carpark up the hill and not at the beach car park (which is notoriously difficult to pay for and then fines get issued) unless you struggle to walk up hills.

Getting around

Parking tips

Tesco’s carpark is free and close to the prom and the shops. You can also find parking at the south end of the seafront, near the harbour but if it’s sunny this might be full.
