Food scene

Reasonably priced food and drink, serves food and drinks later than most establishments in town. More of an adult setting especially in the evening.

Moderately priced but delivers good meals and drinks, when the salad bar is open, it is top notch. I will often just eat that instead of a full meal.

Reasonably priced spot. Very good, old school hamburger joint. Good outdoor seating in the summer, the place does get busy and a 30 minute wait for your food is not abnormal, but worth the wait.

Higher priced latin food. This place is good and they make exquisite cocktails, great indoor and outdoor and rooftop seating. They have a signature tequila slushy drink called the "chupacabra"......they are potent. This place is also owned by the owners of Garwoods in Carnelian Bay and Riva Grill in South Lake Tahoe.

Affordable and fast Mexican food. This is the closest thing to a "taco truck" in Kings Beach with their walk up window and authentic Mexican food. The shop also has other items you would find at a small Mexican market.

Casino

Just a mile and half up the road on the Stateline. The CBC as it is known to locals is the best place for live music, touring bands and gambling in North Lake Tahoe. It is walkable (a hill to climb) but a short taxi ride is preferred. Across the street is the Tahoe Biltmore which is an older hotel casino. It has been quite a while since the Biltmore's glory days., but if the CBC is busy its a good alternative.
