Great place for vegans/vegetarians or those who have had enough of Austrian heavy cuisine! Daily changing menu, hidden in a sweet passage courtyard. Also good for coffee and cake.

Neighbourhoods

One of the trendiest neighborhoods in Vienna, where most of the new, hip cafés, shops and restaurants are. Mariahilferstraße is a long shopping street with well-known chain stores, the little parallel streets are full of independent shops. Spittelberg is host to the prettiest Christmas market starting mid November until Christmas. Museumsquartier hosts a selection of museums and cafés/bars with a great inner courtyard to hang out in.

City advice

Ways to save

Kunsthalle MQ is free Thursday evening

Kunsthalle Museum in Museumsquartier is free on Thursday evenings.
Getting around

Vienna has awesome public tranaport

On weekends the metro goes all night. Take a ring tram and ride past some of the main sites!
Book before you go

Restaurant reservations

I would advise to make bookings in advance, especially around Christmas as places can get full fast due to Christmas parties.
