You will find a couple of great tavernas in Keri Lake village, a cute Rock Cafe and you can rent a boat to visit Marathonisi, the turtle island. It has two beaches; a sandy one and a rocky one. It is paradise!

City advice
What to pack
insect repellent
Mosquitos are very common in the Greek summer and although they are harmless they can cause a lot of discomfort and I highly suggest you always wear a strong repellent throughout the day.
Don't miss
Navagio (shipwreck) beach
This is the most popular beach of Greece and you must make sure you visit once. I highly recommend you drive to Porto Vromi in the north east of the island and you can rent a boat from there to go to the beach or board a guided tour.
Please call them 1-2 days prior as they are busy and because the tours could be cancelled easily if the weather is not good. Due to the location of the beach you can only access it by boat and as it is a deep open sea the slightest wind change causes serious disruptions to the tours.

Nowhere on the island is there drinkable tap water and you must always ask and use bottled water.
