Brunch and lunch options for lazy (or early, if that's your thing) mornings. There is typically a 20 to 30 minute wait during the late morning/early afternoon. If you ask, they will give you a coffee while you are waiting.

Amazing very fresh Laotian food. Curries are similar to Thai curries. The Champa Sampler appetizer is my favorite. It comes in a boat-shaped plate filled with some vermicelli, spring rolls, sausage, and rice ball salad. You grab some lettuce, mint and cilantro, throw in some of these ingredients, and enjoy the melody of flavors that come from the dish. It was very fun and enjoyable to eat.

If you are planning to splurge and have fresh Dungeness Crab, which you absolutely should, this is the place. Fresh crab roasted with black pepper served with a side of garlic noodles, heaven! For non-shellfish eaters, there are plenty of other fantastic choices on the menu.

Parks & Nature

Take a relaxing walk around the lake or rent a rowboat or paddleboat and view the scenery from the lake itself. The lake can be crowded sometimes with many people, dogs, babies, ducks, geese, turtles, great blue herons , hawks, gophers and at night raccoons and coyotes. Perhaps it's more fun people/creature watching than relaxing!

Amazing views of the Pacific Ocean and Golden Gate bridge. A fun and easy hike. Reward yourself after with a cocktail at the nearby Cliff House. Or do what I do and eat a yummy brunch, then go walk it off! OK, well many times I eat the brunch and then just go lie down. Truth.
