Local Pubs / Pub Grub

Its our local pub which is very friendly and under new ownership. Now family run by locals Rachel behind the bar, and brother Dan in the kitchen. A traditional pub grub menu. Great for a meal or just a drink in front of the fire. It does get busy on a Friday and Saturday evening with the locals so booking for food is essential.

Fantastic food for those special occasions in a delightful old building tucked away in Stoke Row. One of our favourite places. Mid priced and fantastic for evenings or Sunday lunch. It also often has live music and offers cookery demonstrations / courses. Again booking a must.

This Antony Warrell-Thomson's restaurant where the food and atmosphere is excellent. Again great for special occasions and more relaxed than a formal restaurant such as the French Horn, and only a mile up the road. Booking essential.

A very traditional (some would say formal) French restaurant on the river at Sonning on Thames. Its in a beautiful setting and excellent for special occasions. Booking is essential. One of the more expensive restaurants in the area but a real treat if you're a foodie! Dress smart.
