Very rich local scene if you like fish markets, lots of noice and garbage (unfortunately). Boca Chica has some nice restaurants but the town is known for cheap tourists. It's the closest beach so you may end up there. Go to Puerco Rosado, a German decent place.

Oldest hotel in the city, high quality, beautiful gardens. Enjoy a drink in the garden cafe or breakfast in the fantastic buffet. The restaurant is pricey. On the street leadign to the hotel there are a number of Spanish and Italian restaurants, all are good but check the prices.

By far the most modern high quality gym in the city, private trainers, squash court, basketball court, military cross training, downstairs there's a Chili's and two very good Italian restaurants.

Parks & Nature
The only real large park you can enjoy in the city. It is packed with runners and athletic events every morning, afternoon and week-ends. This is where Dominicans meet in nature. Very safe lots of security .. but keep your visit to the day time please.

This beach town is very poor but if you drive along the ocean you will see a number of quality restaurants with their semi private beaches. Call us for more on this.
