We had an absolutely amazing stay! From the moment we arrived, Amarentia was incredibly warm, welcoming, and thoughtful — their hospitality really made a difference and added a personal touch to our trip. The town is a small, peaceful gem, perfect for unwinding and taking a break from the fast pace of the CBD. There’s something so refreshing about the slower rhythm and friendly local atmosphere. One of the highlights was definitely waking up to the stunning ocean view each morning — it was so calming and beautiful. We truly felt relaxed and recharged. Would definitely love to come back again!

Erna's listing of Heron's Place is an absolute must to try. Our stay was just too short. We arranged a boat cruise on the river and because of the private jetty, they were able to pick us up at our doorstep and drop us off there again. The area is beautifully quiet and on the river. I would recommend it.

What a lovely little gem in Port Owen! Maritjie was an absolute star, such a warm and thoughtful host. She stayed in touch both before and during our stay, making everything so easy and enjoyable. I have been with Lizanne for quite a few accommodations and each time, it was beyond the pictures and my expectations. The unit was clean, spacious, and had the amenities as specified. We were told about how cold it could get in winter and it was cold, but there was sufficient blankets and the indoor braai helped to keep the unit warm and cozy. The showers was amazing. Thank you again and we will be back to this unit or another.

Excellent value for money

I can highly recommend this stay, being picky and host myself a few months ago. Excellent value and so clean and modern. Bonus - first load of wood (which we replenished but weren’t asked to) and ice cubes for free! I actually think the place looks better in real life than on the pictures. Jacuzzi is more private than I thought.

Michelle is an awesome host. The place exceeded all expectations. A break away requires everything the place has; it’s fun and functional. But most importantly it’s peaceful and relaxing. The space is safe and secure. We will definitely be returning because why not?
